Chapter 1: The tale of the statue

The tale of the statue

A stallion unicorn admired himself in the mirror. He had a long light amber mane and tail, blueish cyan eyes, a white coat with grey hooves, a compass rose cutie mark, and dressed in a tuxedo that manages to blend in with his coat and a blue bow tie. He’s the great great great great great great great great great great great (and probably even more greats) nephew on Celestia's and Luna's mother's side, about 52 times removed, roughly speaking. And the object of a lot of young female unicorn’s affection, if just for the wealth alone.

However, it was hard to find a mare he loved more than-

“BLUEBLOOD!!!!”

His gazing was interrupted by a shout and a loud knocking on the dorm door. He muttered something quietly to himself, than opened the door to see a rather angry unicorn.

It was a unicorn with a bluish cyanish gray mane and tail with light grayish blue cyan streaks in it, grayish magenta eyes, a light azure coat, a magic wand with sprinkling dust for a cutie mark, and dressed in a purple magician hat and matching cape covered in stars and other shapes, a gem holding her cape together. She was holding a book with her magic, looking rather angry at Blueblood.

“Would it kill you to bring your dorm key?”

The mare looked at him with a huff

“If it weren't Luna’s idea, Trixie would be living alone instead of with some narwhal so full of himself that if he was ugly, have no royal connections, and have not a single bit to his name, no Equine would be dumb enough to even fall for you.”

She trotted up to her bed, lying on it while looking through the pages.

“Why do you want to read that stupid book filled with old mare’s tales, anyway?”

Trixie gave blueblood a spiteful smirk.

Trixie heard rumors that if one looks up one of the tales of this book, it shall lead them to my fate, maybe to make up for... sins of the past.”

Blueblood rolled her eyes. Even since the night of the gala, she was acting like some melodramatic drama queen. Well, as far as she knew her. Auntie Luna thought it was a good idea for him to spend time with her, for some reason.

“Ah, here’s the perfect one.”

And so, much to Blueblood’s annoyance, she began to read the tale aloud

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

a long ago, there were two lovers; a beautiful alicorn and a draconequus. They were the spirit of chaos and harmony, both balancing each other out, as one can not excised without the other. It was at first, perfect. However, one day, for reasons yet to be known, he completely and utterly snapped.

He dethroned harmony, and decided to rule Equestria all by himself, plunging it into eternal chaos, and slowly drove every equine insane.

And at first, it was as if have complete and utter power over the place. But, the desperate and heart broken alicorn took her sister on a journey to discovered the only way they could prevent this imbalance; the elements of harmony. Together, the sisters imprisoned him into stone, and the two take the duties of balancing out harmony and chaos.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------

Trixie looked over the tale rather interested.

“Trixie remembers looking up this species before.”

Silence was brought into the room for a brief moment.

“Blueblood, we’re going to the library.”

“Why do I had to go?”

“Trixie has to make sure you don’t spend all day looking at yourself in the mirror, again.”

But before Blueblood could say another word, Trixie used her magic to dragged Blueblood with her. She was determined to looked up some more information, but this time, not alone.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------

Several hours has passed. To keep himself from getting bored, he read over some playmare magazines, while making sure any of the books messed with him.

“WHY DOESN'T THE CANTERLOT DUBY DISMAL SYSTEM WORK PROPERLY?!?!?!”

She was about to rage more, until she noticed the book she was looking for; brief summaries of non-pony creatures in Equestria of equal intelligence for those too lazy to looked up more about them.

“Here it is.”

Prince Blueblood sighed in relief.

“Finally, now find up what we’re looking for. I have a lot of preparing to do for the make up galla.”

Trixie ignored the ignorant stallion, and flipped through the book, until she hit the page she wanted.

“draconequus, a species that’s usually half pony and half dragon, but can a fusion of other creatures, often with powers that are equal to those of alicorns, maybe even surpassed them. The most well known of these types is discord, a statue nearby the maze of canterlot next to the palace, representing disharmony between other ponies. Some say it was once the original controller of chaos until something happened that lead him to his stoned state; otherwise known as the tale of the statue. The stars stats if the first bearers of the elements of harmony passed their elements to a group of six ponies, two from each pony race, his seal will loosen up, making his magic a bit weak enough for him to cause subtle chaos, but only in the town the bearers reside. However, if three blank flank fillies, a unicorn, an earth pony, and a pegasus come in front of the statue, and demonstrate disharmony in front of the statue, he’ll be completely released, sending Equestria into chaos eternal.”

Shocked, Trixie dropped the book. She looked over at Blueblood.

“Do you know what this means?”

“That prophecies are that specific?”

“It means that discord could break free any minute now, especially since there’s a tour of the gardens happening this after, with fillies.”

“Aren’t you over reacting?”

“Trixie is not taking her chances.”

Trixie made up a map of the castle garden.

“With your royal connections, we can convinced the guards to take the statue far from the garden, and give it to Princess Luna, and the statue shall forever be trapped on the moon. And make sure that this prophecy will never be fulfilled.”

Trixie looked over at Blueblood, holding on to him the best she can with hooves. She stared at him with a desperate look in her eyes. Blueblood just gave her a blank stare.

“On the condition that we checked the preparations for the make up galla.”

Trixie looked over at blue blood at first with tear filled frustration, but after a while she gave a rather broken sigh.

“Very well, but make it quick.”

Trixie followed Prince Blueblood out of the library, with a broken look, partly hated being treated like his little puppet.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

“So, what are we checking on the preparations?”

Blue blood looked over at Trixie, rather indifferently. He could care less about what happens to Trixie, just want to experienced a perfect galla without meeting some unicorn too obsessed with fairy tales for her own good that she acts like a complete lunatic if her ideals weren’t what she wanted. He got out a rather small piece of paper out of his coat, with his unicorn magic.

“Just three simple things. Music, food preparation, and the decor. The rest the servants can deal with. Just those three simple things I need to double check just to be sure.”

“And why are you so transfixed on those-”

The two unicorns bumped into someone practicing magic, spilling some black liquid on top of blueblood(and a tiny bit onto Trixie), as well as the ground. Trixie gave a smug smirk at this, than looked over to the pony-erm, witch.

She was a fourteen year old looking humanoid with purple hair that reached to her shoulders with jagged ends and bangs (which covered the right side of her face), some of it tied into a tree style pony tail with a black scrunchie, blue eyes(as it could be seen on her left side, rather pale skin(to the point that’s it almost pure white), and dressed in a baggy grey hoodie that covered her hands, and jeans that covered her feet, with holes around several areas revealing scar of various length in this weird thin dagger like shape. She looked over at the two with a bit of a concern look in her eyes.

“Oh, sorry about that. I was so busy practicing an illusion spell that I wasn’t watching where I was going.”

She lifted up her left hand, a light purple gray glow appeared inside the hidden hand of her sleeve. The black liquid slowly lifted off the things that it swirled into a black little blob ball. The liquid than circled around her face, than it disappeared into the wind. She gave a friendly smile towards them.

“My name is Shade. Nice to meet you two. So, what brings you here.”

“Trixie here was forced to be taken by this... narwhale to looked over three simple things before I can save Equestria from its doomed fate.”

“Don’t bothered her, she’s a bit.... paranoid.”

Shade looked at two, rather with a confused blank look. She silently stared at the two unicorns, than gave a little smile.

“How about if I come with you? I really don’t have any much better to do.”

Trixie looked at her with an excited look in her eyes.

“Trixie is very fortunate to have someone offered to helped out with her plight and would be pleased if she doesn’t spend time with a narwhal for most of her days.”

“Don’t you think calling your own race the “n” word is a bit racist?”

“Everypony’s a little bit racist, honey. Besides, if you spend as much time with him as Trixie, you would called him the same.”

The three magic users walked off, into the buffet, which was rather empty. The group stared blankly.

“Where are the hors d'oeuvres?”

“Don’t worry ponies,” said a mysterious female voice from far away “I have your food needs ready for tonight.”

They than see a rather fast running unicorn, putting down a bunch of flaming food onto several platters. The three looked at the mysterious pony.

She was a unicorn with messy orange and yellow mane and tail with black burnt tips at the ends, a chunk of hair missing in her mane, blue eyes, a lime green coat, and a fire cutie mark.

“Glad you three decided to watch me prepare the food,” the strange unicorn said in a creepy chipper voice.

“Trixie wants to know what you plan for the menu.”

The unicorn gave a smile filled with demented glee.

“A variety of flambee goods!!” She screamed in delight.

The unicorn’s glowed in the colors of a flame. Fire was than placed onto several dishes. All three spectators stared at the unicorn with bewildered looks in their eyes.

“FIRE CRACKER BURST!!!”

The flame magic of the unicorn(now known as Fire cracker burst) have ceased, and all of them looked to see an earth pony running and a pegasus flying.

The pegasus has a spikey long green and pink mane and tail, green eyes, white fur, and two flowers(one blue, one pink) as a cutie mark.

The earth pony have a straight blue and light blue mane, but a poofy light blue and white tail, grey eyes, a lime green coat, and a teacup for a cutie mark.

“We told you only to only used your fire for cooking and heating purposes only.” the pegasus demanded

“But fire will make food taste better.”

“Not to most people, darling,” the earth pony calmly stated, “it’s nothing personal. Your mindset is...different from other ponies”

“Only because you don’t know the awesomeness that is fire.”

The pegasus sighed, gave a death glare towards her. Firecracker sighed.

“Fine.”

The two ponies walked towards the group.

“Were sorry about that, your princemanship,” the pegasus calmly said, “Tealove and I would make sure the buffet would be flambee free.”

“Don’t worry, my fair Blossom forth,” Prince Blueblood said in an oddly comforting, sweet tone, “I’ll take the pyromaniac so you can worked on them in peace.”

“WHAT,” Trixie said in a shock voice.

Shade gave a simple shrug, and walked next to Firecracker. Trixie sighed, going with it.

“Equestria doesn't need an insane mare to save them,” she muttered.

“You never know,” Shade calmly said.

“We’ll make up for this later,” Tea love offered, “after we’re done here, we can hang out some more.”

-----------------------------------------------------------------------

“-And here is where the main decor is being set up.”

Fire cracker stared at the sight in awe.

“Does fire count as decorating?”

The other parts of the group stared at her, a rather awkward silence between them, until it was broken by Blueblood.

“.... No.”

“Aww.”

The four’s conversation was cut off by a young filly’s grunting noise of frustration. The group sees a bunch of ponies helping out a young filly.

“Just move the streamers a bit more to the right, if you don’t mind.”

The four looked at the one in charged.

She was a young unicorn filly with a pink, green, and purple mane in pigtails and tail, cyan blue eyes, and light pink fur. She was holding a bunch of streamers, than she tripped and fell, rolling in front of the three unicorns and the witch. She gave a weak, gentle smile.

“Sorry about that,” she weakly mused in an embarrassed tone.

“Let me guess,” Trixie said, “you’re the decor manager.”

“Oh, no. I’m taking over Gilly’s duties while she’s practicing flying. I figured she needed some help.”

Just then, a griffon flew over, crashing into blueblood, going into a mud puddle. All sans Shade gave at least a chuckle at the sight. Blueblood glared at the one responsible.

She was a decent size griffon with a white eagle’s head, eyes of pure gold, purple around her eyes, light brown lion’s body, eagle claws, and a lion’s tail.

“What’s the matter, your kinship,” the griffon snarkly asked, “never gotten your precious hooves dirty before?”

Blueblood death glared her.

“Royalty would be shunned if they get completely and utterly dirty, especially one that is charming and good looking.”

The griffon gave him an indifferent look at the prince, unimpressed with how he acts like he runs the country or something.

“Don’t me any of your pointless sob stories, puberty tramp stamp maker. You have no idea how hard some equine else has it. So stop acting like you’re better than anypony else. You’re clearly not, so drop your traditional royal attuitude and care for someone other than yourself for once."

Trixie is quite pleased with such a griffon of your stature. Trixie would like to know you better.”

The griffon looked over at Trixie. She gave a smirk.

“You remind me of an old friend of mine. The name’s Gilda.”

Trixie and Gilda put their hoof and fisted claw together. A magic aura tripped the two, and they ended up on top of each other, their mouths touching each other. After a while of an awkward moment they got up, blushing with embarrassment.

“Maybe we should hang out,” Gilda offered.

“But,” Shade pondered, “what about the decor?”

The little filly looked up at the group.

“I know just the pony to do that.”

The filly gave a sweet sounding whistle. A long legged unicorn appeared.

She has pink and white mane and tail, purple eyes, a white coat, and three fleu de lis, two purple one gold, cutie mark.

“Auntie fleu de lis, can you fixed up the decorations for us, please.”

The unicorn smiled, snuggling up to her.

“Anything for my niece, my dear Star dreams.”

Her horn glowed a bright white hue, and the decorations were elegantly lifted up.

“Can Trixie go now?”

Prince blueblood nodded, than the five walked off. Star dreams looked at the group.

“HEY! WAIT FOR ME!!!!”

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Prince blueblood walked over to the ball room, but was a bit hesitant. The others looked at him.

“So,” shade finally asked, “what’s keeping you, Blue blood.”

Princes Blueblood looked rather scared.

“This room is filled with bad luck.”

“How would you know, Prince of the douchebags?”

Prince blueblood stared at all the female companions.

“It was the worst part of that galla ...”

----------------------------------------------------------------------------

It was a rather decent night at the galla for blueblood. Some mare was at his side, which might come in handy for him, despite not being interested in her. However, as time passes, she was fuming a bit more and more, thought he can’t placed to know why.

The two walked into the ballroom, where a random giant cake came flying out of nowhere. Desperate to not get a touch of dirt on him, he got a random pony to protect himself....

Who was unfortunately, said mare that he spent the night with. She was rather pissed off at him. However, that move was the final straw to you.

“You, sir, are the most uncharming prince I have ever met! Seems like the only thing royal about you is that you are a royal pain!”

However, he was a bit nervous about the dirt around her even more than her rage.

“Ewww...! Uh, stay back! I just had myself groomed!”

“Afraid to get dirty?!”

She shocked off the cake right onto him. The next thing he knew, rubble fell right on top of his body, and a bunch of rampaging animals came on top of said rubble, some even pecking at it. Only a few violent words from somepony else could he heard before blacking out;

“You’re going to LOVE ME!!!!!

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The group stared rather blankly at the shaking shivering prince. There was a silence between them. That is, until a child like voice came out of the crowd.

“Can I talked to uncle bloody?”

The other unicorns and griffon were shocked as the filly just walked up in front of him, while Shade still shows indifference towards the whole thing.

“How did she get here?”

Gilda just shrugged.

Star dreams gave a gentle hoof on his back, interrupting his broken crying.

“Don’t worry, uncle bloody. I’ll make sure nothing bad will happened to you.”

Prince blueblood gave a gentle smile towards his niece. The others sans Shade just jaw dropped at the realization that such a filly like herself is related to the likes of blueblood. Star dreams gave a gentle smile.

“Now, why don’t we all checked on the music together?”

Blueblood sighed, than nodded, as the filly lead the others inside the grand dance hall. And a heavenly voice that sound like an angel made blueblood’s fear melt away.

“Now Octavia, let’s star from the top.”

In front of their eyes were two ponies. The first was a unicorn with pink and yellow mane and tail, two pieces of it tied into braids while it laid like a damp mess, purple-magenta eyes, a stitch on her left check, three scars (one on her right check, two across her right eye), a light blueish-green coat, and a umbrella with two hearts for a cutie mark. The second was a properly groomed earth pony with a dark grey with lighter tint mane and tail, greyish purple eyes, an amber yellowish gray coat, and a treble clef cutie mark that was the same color as her eyes.

“It’s nice of you to show you’re wonderful music to me before the show. I find that your music is the best in all of canterlot, and the best part of the galla.”

She then noticed prince blueblood, looking over at him a bit nervously.

“Sorry about that, sir. I didn’t noticed you were there. Octavia wanted to perfect her cello skills, so she wanted to practiced alone. If you want to hear the other musicians for tonight, they’re in the room next.”

“Are you sure that’s the only music worth perfecting, my dear?”

The unicorn gave a confused look, than took a notice towards Trixie, mainly her cape and hat. Excited, she ran right passed him, and came in front of her.

“Is that outfit inspired by star swirl the bearded?”

“... Yes.”

The unicorn gave a squeal of delight.

“Can I try it on. I looked everywhere for an outfit that looks like the traditional outfit of his, but I can’t find it anywhere.”

“Very well.”

The unicorn put on the outfit without any hesitation, in happy glee. She got around a mirror, and spinned around. However, she looked over at Trixie, with a bit of guilt on her face. The unicorn than gave her cape and hat back.

“Sorry about that, I just a big fan of his, among another magic user. I think we’ll be best friends, miss, um-”

“Trixie.”

“Very well, Trixie. My name’s-”

Their conversation was cut short with a strong chiming clock. Trixie looked in fright.

Clock is ticking, Trixie. Clock. Is. Ticking.”

She looked over at Blueblood.

“Let’s go, NOW!!!”

Prince blueblood grabbed onto the unicorn.

“Not without her.”

Trixie grunted in frustration.

“Fine.”

“Per hasp we can-”

But before Shade’s suggestion could be brought up, Trixie went over to Gilda.

“How fast a flyer are you?”

Shade put her covered hand to her face, shaking her head.

“Well, a bit faster than the average griffon, but not by much.”

The next she knew, five unicorns and a witch was on her back. Trixie looked at her in raging desperation.

“FLY US TO THE CASTLE GARDEN, NOW!!!!!!!!!”

Gilda, for the first time in her life since dash, was utterly afraid of a pony. She never seem such desperate and steming rage before in her life. Without saying a word, she did what she was told.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Gilda collapsed onto the ground, the ones riding her fell and rolled to the place wanted to go the most; the maze start of statues. Trixie was relieved.

“Good, now we can find the statue and save Equestria.”

“Hey, Trix, I think we might have a problem.”

The others looked on in shock. All the other statues were there, except the one Trixie was looking for the most. Trixie looked on in shock fears, trying her best to hold back tears.

“Oh no.”

The next they heard was a rather creepy, yet strangely erotic, male laughter, followed by a bunch of thunder and lighting. A female earth pony, and a group of her students came out of the maze.

“What’s the commotion about?”

A bright flash of white appeared in front of them all. All sans Shade, the teacher, and Gilda(especially Trixie) looked at the sight in fear.

It was a twisted being with a amber yellowish grey horse like-head with a very dark grey mane, a white deer antler on the right, a blue goat horn on the left, one long fang, Brilliant crimson different-sized pupils with bright brilliant yellow replacing what normally is the white area in the eye, a white beard, a light brown right arm of a lion, yellow left claw of an eagle, green right leg of a lizard, brown left leg of a goat, a blueish black bat's right wing, a dark blue pegasus' left wing, a dark reddish brown body and a moderate red snake's tail.

“Well, well, well. Somepony broke the seal of disharmony. Game's over, my little ponies.”

He managed to appear an upside down umbrella, making a meowing sound as he opened it.

“Looks like we might be due for a big old storm of chaos!”

His laughter rung all over the place. Trixie looked over in desperation. There’s no hope for Equestria now.

“I’m too late.”
