War is in Equestria, while the tyrannical Princess Celestia and her Solar Empire Fight to maintain order. Princess Luna and her New Lunar Republic fight for freedom. P.A.R.T.Y a mercenary group act as guns for higher for the highest payer, doing missions to take out important targets and factories in the war.

Sweet Apple Acres is now a weapons provider in the war, making weapons for both sides in the war for profit. The Peace Corpse though are trying to stop the war through peace talks instead of fighting.

Bonds have been broken, even The Element Bearers were not immune, Rainbow Dash became the Air Marshal for The New Lunar Republic. Applejack is a weapons engineer in Sweet Apple Acres. Fluttershy is the Director of The Peace Corps. Twilight Sparkle is the Grand Admiral of The Solar Empire, Rarity is also Captain of the Solar Empire, but she also has her own industry that makes the armor for The Solar Empire's troops and vehicles. Lastly Pinkamena "Pinkie" Diane Pie is the Grand Master of P.A.R.T.Y.

There is a third major faction in the war though, one that works in secret to help the NLR in there fight for freedom, this faction is long forgotten in Equestrian history, there known as The Knights of The Dawn.

The Knights of The Dawn dates back way before Celestia’s rule, even Discords rule. It was during a time were two kingdoms stood. One of them was The Kingdom of Light, and the other was The Kingdom of Darkness. The Knights of The Dawn were made to watchover Equestria and other worlds to defend them from darkness.

After the Light and Darkness war and Discord ruled the land The Knights fought along side the resistance group in secret, focusing on covert operations to cripple Discords Empire. After the war not many Knights were left, some left the order and decided to live normal lives, while others stayed and still did what they were sworn to do to by code.

Time passed and their existence was forgotten, but despite that they endured and still followed their code until a handfull were left.

Today, before the Equestrian Civil War there was only two left, Tirimor and his brother Tiridae. They posed as regular citizens in Ponyville and watched over the kingdom, waiting for the day when the Knights of The Dawn were needed again.

Before the war started he knew how bad things were in Equestria and new that war would eventually follow since the government was suppressing citizen rights. Following the code that he knew that was right, he publicly spoke out against Celestia and her rule as often as he could and escaped without a trace from the guards.

With all the ponies he could muster he went on a pilgrimage into the mountains outside of Equestria and for quite sometime they remained, training to fight for what is right, following the code of The Knights of The Dawn. Forging metal into armor and weapons for the upcoming war.

The Knights of The Dawn fight on the side of the NLR, but in secret and do covert operations to hinder the fighting force of The Solar Empire. With their high discipline and courage the KOTD has secretly helped the NLR by spreading seeds of confusion in The Solar Empire.
