Hello, dear readers, and welcome. If you’ve made it this far, either out of boredom or morbid curiosity, I hope that these scant words won’t disappoint.

As you may have guessed from the whisper-thin plot and gratuitous amount of clop, I am not the author of Salvation.

I suppose that also reveals our hand here: SexyBack is a shared account, one where a few of us less... adventurous authors can publish pseudonymously. Here, we can cut our chops on this darker corner of the fandom and see how we do.

On that note, I’ll be the first to admit that neither my title nor my premise are all that creative.

Futa Chrysalis and Twilight Sparkle Have Sex (may I just call it ‘FC’ for short? That’s a dreadfully long name to run with in a conversation) was written in one day as sort of an experiment (though edited over the course of a few, with some of my associates), just to see how I’d handle the squickier aspects of writing. I’d been in a creative slump for a while, and the old workhorse topics just weren’t doing it for me, so I opted to go out of my comfort zone a bit and see what writing clop is like.

Turns out that it’s really hard to describe sexytimes without either sounding childish, clinical, or just too over-the-top euphemistic. I endeavored to keep you from rolling your eyes, but only you’ll know if I succeeded.

Looking over the story again as I write these author’s notes piecemeal, it almost seems like FC is a mood-setting first piece, a lead-in to see what happens next, exactly. I won’t deny that the idea of following Twilight and Chrys on whatever events follow this fateful meeting appeals to me, but I do fear that writing a sequel is always such a tricky subject, to capture what made the original engaging and recreate rather than simply build off of that in the following installations.

But then again, I wrote about an almost-pony growing a penis and having sex with a magical talking unicorn.

I’ll give it some thought.
