Prologue
What am I?
This may be a simple question to most of you. You are Human. But me, I am something else. I tried to be a hero, I tried to save the lives of innocents. I tried to be anything but what people make me out to be; a monster. I used to be normal in the past. I was a scientist; striving to help humanity by unraveling the mysteries of the universe, primarily Gamma Radiation; known as one of the most violent and powerful source of energy to mankind. Ironically, that is what turned me into the creature that I am today.
I am no longer normal; no longer accepted by the people I loved and cared for. They fear me, hate me, but most of all, they want me dead. They see me as nothing but a threat, a weapon that aims in all direction. After many years of being loathed, hurt, and hunted by everyone, I used to wish myself free from this curse, from the beast that dwells inside of me. Now, I realize the only thing I want is to be alone.
My Name is Doctor Bruce Banner. I am not Human; I am The Incredible Hulk.
I have grown used to loud noises. Explosions, Bullets, Screams of terror and fear; but I don't hear any of that now. Its moments like these that are rare in my life. Peace. Its quiet, save for the soothing sound of the wind blowing and the birds singing.
“Wait, birds chirping,? Here in the Deser-”
His voice suddenly failed him as he opened his eyes to find himself in a completely new location. There were trees as tall as buildings and full of life with rich green leaves and perfectly brown bark. Grass, so beautiful and pure it shimmered and sparkled in the sunny clear sky. Flowers of all colors and sizes were around him ranging from large purple ones with thorns that shined in the light, to small ones that were blue and glowing.
“Where am I? This certainly isn't the Nevada Desert. Its so full of life and cool and a bit breezy and Oh My-”
Banner looked down at himself to notice that his clothes were completely gone. He was in the nude. Even his infamous, stretching pants were gone.
“My clothes are gone, but thats strange, I don't remember transforming into the Hulk. Well it does not matter now, doesn't look like this area is occupied by anyone that would notice. For the mean time I guess I will at least cover myself up with some leaves”.
After looking around for some decently sized leaves, he expertly crafted them into a patch covering his privates and a good portion of his backside.
“Well, I am not going to figure out how I got where here is, by just standing around. First thing first I need to find is some clothes, no way I can remain undetected by the military if I am dressed in nothing but a bunch of leaves.”
Unknown to Bruce, the Military would be the least of his worries for now.
Princess Celestia, the most powerful being known in Equestria, was currently doing one of the most challenging, and difficult task known to society. You think it would be raising the Sun. Nope, that is but a simple task for the God like Alicorn. She is a princess, and it is her role duty to watch and care for her subjects. While normally a Princess would act as more of a figure head rather then a government official; but unfortunately her influence among pony kind has practically made the entire society run both on her, and her sister Princess Luna’s, decisions.
Its not that she didnt take her job seriously, she loved her subjects with every ounce of her being. Its just alot of pressure on two individuals, even if they are Goddesses, they are still stressed out with day to day Meetings, Councils, Courts, etc... Lucky for Princess Celestia, today has been an easy day for her so far. Only several hundred of her subjects have come to seeking her advice, help, wisdom, blessing, or anything in-between. Sitting atop her throne with two of the Royal Guards on each side, she was currently meeting with a Pony who had come all the way from Las Pegasus just to seek Princess Celestias Blessing.
He was a scrawny little Earth Pony who goes by the name of Strong Leaf, with a dark brown coat and short, light green hair, and abnormally pink colored eyes, with a cutie mark of a Wooden Leaf. Princess Celestia even had to do a double take on the strange Earth Pony. Normally Earth Ponies were known for their natural Strength and physical abilities; but this one was smaller then the average Earth Pony and had such rare eyes, something she has not seen in hundreds of years.
“Hello My Little Pony, and how may I help you today”
Inquired Princess Celestia, forming a smile that she has practiced over the centuries of her rule. Its the same smile a loving mother would give to her children. As you can imagine, meeting with a God like figure in person can be pretty intimidating, but that smile always seems to calm down her subjects and make them feel more comfortable.
“Umm hello your m-majesty. Uhh if you wouldn't mind me asking your royal highness if I could maybe ummm”
“Wow” Celestia thought to herself, this pony is very shy and timid. Reminds her of another one of her subjects, a famous hero in fact. Celestia couldn't help but giggle a little in front of her subject.
“Please Strong Leaf, no need to be so nervous around me, I don't bite and I certainly will do everything within my power to help you with your problems. Now tell me, how can I ease your worries”
Strong leaf seemed to get less tense, then Celestia could see he was starting to form a huge red spot on his cheeks. He was blushing profusely. “Well you see Princess, I came before you today t-to, to ummm,”
He closed his eyes and then in a loud voice that not even Celestia had expected “I WANT TO ASK THIS MARE I LOVE TO MARRY ME AND I WOULD LIKE YOUR BLESSING!!!!”
Awww this is so adorable Celestia thought to herself. He traveled hundreds of miles, to ask for his rulers blessing for his marefriend. She got off of her throne, much to the Royal Guards surprised, and began making her way to see Strong Leaf. Strong leaf still had his eyes closed as he waited her judgement. He suddenly felt a soft and warm feeling on his forehead. He opened his eyes and was completely shocked. Princess Celestia, the most powerful being on the planet, personally made her way up to him, and began to nuzzle him on his forehead. His Blushing intensified to the point where his face was as red as a tomato.
“My Little Pony, I can see you are going to be a wonderful Husband, and maybe even a father someday.” Again, she couldn't believe his face could get any redder, but it did.
“You have my blessing Strong Leaf, I know you will grow around a loving family and a wife that stays true to you and you alone. Also, that blushing is adorable and you should do it more often around her.” Celestia said with a wink. Strong Leaf gave one quick bow while still maintaing a cherry red face, and then ungracefully left the court. Celestia made her way back up to her throne and levitated a piece of paper containing all of her schedule appointments.
“Oh my, I dont think this has ever happened before”
Celestia muttered to herself in complete amusement. She looked at the paper in front of her again; carefully observing ever little detail. Celestia let out a sigh of relief and jumped off of her chair, much to again, startle the guards stationed at their post. They never saw their princess act so informal.
“I have no more meetings. No Courts, Councils, nothing!”
Celestia trotted over to the nearest window and took a good look at the position of the sun in the sky. It looked like it was just a little past noon. She couldn't believe she finished all of her royal responsibilities so quickly, and leaving so much time to spare.
“Maybe I will have some time to hang out with Woona, or maybe pay a visit to my faithful student Twilight Sparkle” Celestia thought to herself.
“Today is going to be a wonderful day”.
Unfortunately for Celestia, Fate has other plans for the Sun Goddess. For you see, today, was going to be the start of something big.
New Beginnings, New Enemies
Today was a day like no other.
It was one of those special occasions where nature was in perfect equilibrium. The sun was high up in the sky, offering the perfect amount of warmth and light to those below. There was a pleasant breeze in the air that tickled your skin and brought out the most exuberant of emotions. The smell of flowers was prominent and strong in the beautiful fields of grass surrounding the citizens of the small local town known as Ponyville. It was really something special.
Unfortunately, not everypony could enjoy the natural gift that was bestowed upon Equestria that day.
On the outskirts of the EverFree forest was one Pony in particular who, for what it is worth, would sacrifice her own pleasures for the satisfaction of others. Instead of going out play with her dearly beloved friends, she spends this day residing in her cottage taking care of her animal friends. Her Name is Fluttershy, Hero to Equestria and holder of the Element of Kindness.
She is what her name implies; very shy, timid, and kinda uncomfortable around ponies she hasn't met. Though this is also what makes her connect more with the animals surrounding her that she takes care of everyday. Many of the animals she looks after are very appreciated and praise her for the compassion she has showed them. All except one in particular; the most loyal but aggressive rabbit around the quiet pegasus.
Angel Bunny was, by no means, a normal Rabbit. He was always there to comfort and cheer up Fluttershy whenever the situation demanded it. Granted, he can be rude and easily irritated, they both shared a very close bond to each other that would overcome even the greatest of obstacles. Angel Bunny also had one very special characteristic that none of the other animals shared; he was a very picky eater.
"How about- EEP!, what about-AAH!, what do you think about thi-Ouch!!!"
Fluttershy was currently being bombarded by various food items as she tired to appeal to the very annoyed and irritated Bunnys taste buds. This is been going on for nearly an hour and even the paitent and caring fluttershy can get at little tired of her companions actions.
"Angel Bunny I really want you to be happy, I really do, I just don't know what you want. Please eat something Angel".
Fluttershy offered a very sincere smile as she carefully approched the Bunny with a carrot salad. Angel Bunny looked at the salad and began to show a sign of interest. He walked toward the salad and began to inspect every inch of it, most to Fluttershys delight. She closed her eyes as she siliently gave herself a pat of the back when all of a sudden she felt something abruptly hit her face. While the salad did not meet the bunnys picky appetite, it made for an excellent projectile to the unsuspecting pegasus. She wiped her face off from what remained of the salad and turned to see Angels Bunnys arms crossed over his chest with the same, irritated expression he has been having throughout this whole ordeal.
"Angel Bunny please...I ju-"
Fluttershy was cut off short as Angel Bunny angrly trotted over to a bookshelf. Interested at the rabbits strange behavior, Fluttershy trots over to her little companion to see what he is trying to do. She finds him on the floor, flipping frantically through the pages of what looks like a fairly new and fancy book. She instantly recognizes that book as-
"Oh thats the book I borrowed from Twilight a few days ago, *Exquisit et les aliments de fantaisie*. But that book has very complicated and rare dishes in it, why would you wa-"
Fluttershy could not finish her sentence as the book Angel Bunny was skimming though was now directly in front of her face. On the page was possibly the most complex and difficult dish she had ever seen.
"Oh....My.... Angel Bunny is...is this what you want. I don't even know if I have enough ingredients to make this."
Fluttershy lowered the book from her face to meet Angel Bunny; but instead of seeing an irritated rabbit, she was met with possibly the most adorable and cute eyes she has ever seen. She could not believe it; it was his variation of 'The Stare' with the difference being it was not used for intimidation, but rather it was used to intensify the natural cutness of the Bunny. She rarely saw him use it; he must really want to try this dish out.
*sigh* "Ok Angel you win, I will have to make a trip to the market to get all of the ingredients. While I am gone I expect you to.... Wait..."
Fluttershy looked at the page again, inspecting the long list of ingredients needed to make this complex dish. She then noticed a critical error.
"Angel Bunny there is a problem with this recipe. It requires a very rare and unique ingredient. The Topaz Mushroom. I dont even know where-"
Angel Bunny put his paw up to Fluttershys mouth to stop her from worrying about the last ignredient. He then began to make alot of strange, funny, and serious gestures with his hands in an attempt to tell Fluttershy-
"You mean to tell me that you know where you can get the Mushroom Angel. Well that is wonderful! I am so happy you are willing to help me out with this dish, thank you Angel Bunny. Umm......if you dont mind me asking, where is it?"
Angel Bunny quickly made his way towards the window where he stuck his paw out to the location. Fluttershy looked at Angels arm, lined it up in her sight and found out its in the-
"EVERFREE FOREST! Angel Bunny I am sorry but I dont want you to go out there just for a Mushroom.. There are alot of scary creatures that live their and its not safe to go. I really want to see you happy Angel Bunny and I know this dish means alot to you, but I cant let you risk your safety over it. Please try and understand."
Angel Bunny Stood there, he wasn't mad or throwing a tempertantrum. No, he was looking at Fluttershy with eyes that were filled with determination, confidence, and most of all, love. He really liked Fluttershy, he trusted her with his life. Now, he was asking the same for Fluttershy, and she knew it too. As they both stood their, staring into each other, and getting an understanding of their emotions, Fluttershy realized something.
"Alright Angel Bunny.....I trust you. I just care about you so much. If you got hurt or injured I just...jus-"
Fluttershy couldn't finish her thoughts as Angel Bunny embraced her in a heartfelt hug. It was at that moment that Fluttershy realized Angel Bunny, was going to be just fine.
"Thanks Angel; I guess I needed that. Just promise me you will stay safe and not go too deep into the forest. I....I love you Angel Bunny, don't you forget that."
With one final nuzzle on the forehead, Angel Bunny with a blushing face, bounced towards the edge of the EverFree Forest to begin his journey.
Meanwhile, deep within the EverFree Forest, a troubled soul wanders and navigates through the colorful and bizarre new land.
"This is so strange" Banner thought to himself. It has been nearly an hour and nothing came to try and attack, hurt, or kill him. In fact, it seems apparent that the longer he continues his trek through the woods, the more peaceful it becomes. For the first time in his long and painful life, Banner felt something he hasn't felt in a long time. He didn't know if it was caused by the welcoming rays of the sun, or the peace and serenity that the forest seemed to be emitting. What he felt was Happiness.
It won't last.
Banner stopped all movement at once. The last thing he wanted to hear was his voice. A voice from a being who is consumed by rage, sadness, and most of all, loneliness.
"You don't know that Hulk. Look at this place, its beautiful. Everything I have seen so far here while walking is in absolute...harmony with the world. I don't know where we are, but from what I can tell we are safe, and away from any danger."
Stupid Banner.Just because this place appeals to your weak and pathetic eyes, you let your guard down. We are never safe, you should understand that by now.
"Hulk, I know you can feel it too. We share the same mind and body. This place is....... different. It offers a sense of comfort. I feel as though we can can be safe here. We don't have to always be on the run Hulk. Not here. I feel, different. At peace for once. We dont have to always be afriad."
SHUT UP! This place is no different than from anywhere else we have been. Arizona, Georgia, New York, Mexico, Brazil, Canada, It doesn't matter. WE WILL ALWAYS BE HUNTED, FEARED, AND ALONE. WE WILL NEVER HAVE PEACE BANNER!!!! NEVER!!!!........not here............. not anywhere.
Banner was shocked to find the tone of the Hulk's last words to be not of anger, but of sadness. He understood every word he said. He didn't want to believe it, but he was right. Dammit. He was right. They would always be considered nothing more than a monster.
"I wish It was different Hulk. I.....really do."
With that he hung his head low and continue this walk towards the unknown. Suddenly the once beautiful and brightforest around them seemed....darker. It lost all the appeal it had minutes ago. The trees were just what they appeared to be. Trees. Nothing more and nothing less. The grass no longer had that elegant glow to them, it was just grass. The forest didn't seem so inviting now. It just made them feel more isolated and alone.
Unknown to Banner, he was not alone. He was far from it. The EverFree forest is full of terrifying and powerful creatures; Manticores, Hydras, Timber Wolves, Trolls, Dragons, and even the infamous Ursa Major. It was only a matter of time before Banner would meet one of these fearsome predators.
*Snapp*
Unfortuniately for Banner, that time might be now. He stopped walking immediately as he heard the sound of snapping wood. Millions of thoughts raced through his mind. Was someone following him? Was it a wild animal? Was it Hostile? Could it be the Military? But one thought that raced through his mind he knew with absolute certianty was that the Hulk was right. He would never be alone; never be completely safe.
Banner began to scan his surrounds for any weapon, or environmental cover he could use to aid him against whatever was coming up to him.
*Crack*
The sounds were getting louder. That meant that whatever was coming, was getting closer. What was once a leisurely stroll though the bright woods turned into a full on sprint for his life. He needed to either fight or hide. He favored the latter of the two decisions. He could swear that the faster he ran, whatever chased him actually got closer. Suddenly it was starting to get brighter.
"Oh Crap, I am about to run out of forest area. Whatever is chasing me, it can see me plain as day once I get to the clearing" Bruce thought to himself.
The closer he got to the clearing, the more he would hear this strange and steady sound. The soil below him was starting to get more loose and a bit more moist. Hope was returning to Bruce as he put the dots together. He realized that it was not just any plain clearing, but it was actually-
"A water current. Of course! There must be some sort of river or other water source up ahead. I have to get there before whatever is chasing me, beats me to it."
He was close, 100 yards away. He was starting to get tired.
"Can't give up, I will not get captured again!"
His speed increased to its max. Blood Pumping and full of adrenaline, Banner gives it all his little body is capable of.
50 yards away.
*RAAAAAAAWWAR!!!!*
The roar of the angry beast behind him made Banner come to a startling realization. That whatever was chasing him was not only going to catch up, but was not alone. The creatures that chased him were not only fast, but they were big. Banner was starting to feel the very earth shake from the beast heavy footsteps. Suddenly his chances of escaping seemed to get lower with each passing second.
25 Yards away.
Banner was at his limit. He was so close to freedom. Suddenly, it seems like they were so close that he could feel the breathing of the hungry predators that chased him. Curiosity overtook him for a second as he wanted to grasp how close he was to escaping, or to meeting his doom. As he turned his head around he was completely terrified. He was met with over a dozen of the most massive, angry, and savage wolves he has ever seen. They were somewhere between 8-12 feet tall, easily rivaling the size of the Hulk. He was quiet shocked when he noticed another prominent physical feature that each of the colossal beast shared; they were made out of what looked like wood.
He did not have enough time to truley marvel at their unique and frightening bodies, he didn't have time to think at all. All he needed to focus on was running and making to the river.
5 yards away.
Banner makes his way to the clearing only to be met with a frightening suprise. There was no river. What Banner heard was indeed water. A Water Fall. Banner, through the heat of the moment, could not process the information his eyes were recieving fast enough until it was too late. He ran past the trees to the clearing, and straight off the edge of the forest decending to the water abyss below.
AAAAAHHHHHHH!!!!!
The very last thing Banner was able to hear was another voice. A voice he and he alone recognized immediately.
Puny Banner

Gods and Monsters
Oh Luna~ Where are you my little sister~
Princess Celestia teased while playing one of her favorite games; Hide and Seek. Princess Celestia was more then grateful for the day off. She could not remember the last time she had spent some quality time with her younger sister. It seems like the majority of her life now was spent writing, reading, or attending to the needs of her loyal subjects. She never really had some time to herself, to just have some fun. Sometimes, she wishes she could just take a break once in a while. But never the less, she did not care about that now. All that concerned her was where her adorable, and ninja of a sister was hiding.
"You can't hide forever Luna~ I'll find you sooner or later"
She knew it could not be that hard. Could it?
They both agreed that they would not use their magic or wings to aid them in their game. She then began to navigate through the halls in the beautiful and stunning interior of the Castle. It was a work of art really. Halls where the floors glimmered and shinned in the light of the sun, filled with columns that displayed intricate and complex artwork that has been so painstakingly carved into them. Such a sight would of made the Greek Ponies of the old time marvel at the work of art. The Castle windows only amplified the beauty of the hallways; sunlight shining through mixed with the various colors that each of the window art displayed. Below them were hundreds of paintings with a different story on each one. She looked at them while passing by; each of them telling the tales of the long forgotten.
Celestia and Luna though, remembered each and every single event that was depicted on the paintings. From the time they were brought onto the planet by the Great and Powerful Queen Faust, to the creation of the first creatures of the sea, land and eventually the skies above. It told stories of adventures from the time Celestia and Luna first found the Elements of Harmony, to the journey they made as fillies to the depths of Tartarus.
Celestia never realized it but in these halls, their entire life was in the form of paintings. Well most of it, some stuff remained a secret that only the Alicorn Sisters would know. The paintings even depicted some of her and her sisters greatest triumphs, but also their greatest downfalls.
Celestia paused for a second while looking at a particular image. A small tear formed when she got to the first painting that had the Changeling Queen Chrysalis. It showed the two of them engaged in a bloody duel that eventually led to Celestia towering over her almost lifeless body. Many thought of Chrysalis as a evil tyrant, but that was not true. In fact they used to be best friends. She even helped save Equestria from various monsters in the past. The reason she hated the ponies of Equestria today was because of an accident.
"I did not mean to kill your Husband Chrysalis. I am so.....so sorry..." Celestia muttered lowly to herself.
She continued to look around at the other paintings further ahead. She came upon one of the most haunting and infamous paintings in the halls. She shuddered as she stared at the figure in front of her. Discord, a physical manifestation of the Element of Chaos and ancient tyrant to the land of Equestria. She remembered that moment as the most painful and scary event in her life. She would of died had it not been for her sister, The Elements of Harmony, but most of all, his personality.
"He was just screwing with me....Why.......Why did he not kill me?" Celestia said with a bit of anger and hate in her tone.
Because that is not how I play MY Game Celestia
Celestia Froze in place. Fear started to consume her as she heard the voice of Discord.
"N-No. That's impossible. He can't be free. He just can't. What do I do? What do I do? What do I do!!!!!"
Celestia's thoughts were cut off shortly as she felt a hoof tap her shoulder. She then realized that her sister Luna was standing right infront of her with a confused and worried expression on her face.
How long was I just standing here? Oh no! I completely forgot about Luna's game!
"Tia are you ok? You look like you seen an army of Ursa Major's or something. You do realize we are playing a game right? Have you just been standing here for the past 30 minutes?............Maybe we should just stop; we can alway try out some other fun activity."
Celestia brightened up slightly at the suggestion. She felt bad for ruining the game for her sister so she agreed.
"Sure thing little sister, you lead the way. What would you suggest by the way?"
"Well Tia, I was thinking maybe we can...."
As Princess Luna listed the huge amount of activities available for the two goddesses, Celestia couldn't help but wonder if what she heard was well true. Was it just her imagination caused by the suppression of painful memories? Was the seal keeping Discord in the stone statue weakening again? She did not know for sure, but she could not let these thoughts constantly plague her mind.
"Actually sister, do you think we can go for a stroll through the Gardens. I think we both need to get some fresh air, we are always cooped up inside of this stuffy castle. It would be nice to catch a few rays of sunlight right sis?"
"I need to make sure he is not free. I can not risk it. Not again."
Celestia looked at Luna to make sure her sister would not get too upset at her for not wanting to play any games at the moment. What she saw was that her sister too was lost in thought. Princess Luna was looking onto a specific picture in the halls that they were conversing in. It was the one that told of the Legend of Nightmare Moon and how she nearly made the night last forever.
A single tear left the night princess eyes as she looked upon the painting of her evil alternate self. The painting itself showed Nightmare Moon fighting her sister, or more appropriately thrashing her sister about. The Sun Goddess did not once during the entire length of the duel fight back. She just blocked or took on every attack she threw at her. It was an act of love, even when she wanted to kill everypony and plunge the world into a state of eternal fear and darkness, she could not harm her sister.
Luna shivered at the memory of how badly her sister looked in that event. Her wings were broken and bent in ways unimaginable, her body was covered in blood with multiple cuts and gashes. She beat her so badly even her vital organs and some parts of her spine, ribs, and skull were visible. She was missing an eye and even a small part of her horn was gone. The Alicorns were capable of incredible and amazing feats, but even healing her horn would take several hundred years. Yet for all she was capable of, Celestia would not fight back.
Celestia could not stand to see her younger sister still hurt and in pain by the memories of what she became in the past. She walked up to her younger sister and extended a wing to comfort her and embrace her in a loving hug.
"You know Celestia, I still can never forgive myself for what I did to you, and to everypony else. I mean I could of killed you all. I know its been two years since the Elements of Harmony cleansed me of the evil and hatred that is the Nightmare Moon, but I feel as if its still there. I still feel it Tia, the monster inside of me. I am scared"
Celestia tightened the hug she had on her sister. "Its ok Woona, I will always be there for you. We all make mistakes , don't let that define who you are but rather let it be a lesson and a guide for the future. You are Princess Luna, Goddess of the night and ruler or Equestria. You are a kind and caring pony sister, never forget that I love you will all of my heart."
"Thanks Tia, I.....I needed that. Sorry for sulking on the past, lets go for that stroll in the Garden now, shall we?" With that the two rulers departed from the halls that contained memories of the past, both of joy and of sorrow. Luna couldn't help but think to herself-
I am not a monster anymore......right.......

Pain.
It is always the first thing that Banner feels when the transformation happens. His skin rips apart from the pressure his body is exerting to grow. His bones break as they rebuild themselves to be even stronger. His organs increase in size and his muscles tear apart as they prepare for the beast arrival. His veins burst as they too succumb to the transformation, his gamma irradiated blood cells grow several times their original size. It always hurt so much for Banner to transform, its one of the reasons he hates the Hulk. It is a feeling similar to that of dying, but instead of actually giving in to the pain, he gives in to an even greater emotion.
Rage.
He must have fallen several hundred feet. It didn't matter. The Hulk was in control now and as far as I know, Nothing can kill him. I still feel what he feels so, sees what he sees, hears what he hears. We share the same Body and Mind. I share his pain, his rage, his sadness. He is a misunderstood creature, he does not fight because he wants to. He fights because he has to.
I feel the earth shake as the Hulk finally plants his feet into solid ground as we reach the bottom of the falls. He creates a small crater where he lands; debris of of rock and soil are flown about at his landing. Serveral other craters are formed due to the giant wolves. Some of them have pursued him even after the fall, though not all of them. I was indeed shocked at how their bodies were able to survive the impact, they were clearly stronger and more durable than we thought, but they were smaller in numbers now. What seemed like over a dozen of the gargantuan beast, there were now only about six of them in total. They were determined, hungry, but most of all, mad.
GRAAAAAAHHH!!!!!!!
The Hulk roared in pure rage at the group of timber wolves that surrounded him. They were nearly his size and rivaling the display of fury that he was showing. I could feel him, the Hulk for all of his power and rage, was thinking about how to kill the massive beasts, waiting to see who made the first move.
It wasn't the Hulk.
The first of the wolves charged and leapt at the Hulk from the front, not only were the creatures big but they were faster than given credit for. Teeth flaring and rage visible in his eyes, the beast made the move with the intent to kill on the first strike. The wolf had no idea how wrong it was.
The Hulk quickly dodged by stepping to his side, just in time to watch the beast fly past his face. It came so close the Hulk could smell the flesh stained breath of the wolf, but he wasn't finished there.
Just before the wolf completely passed the Hulk, as soon as his tail was pass his face, the Hulk reached behind him and grabbed it in midair. Using the momentum the beast created from the jump, the Hulk pulled the beast forward and slammed it back onto the ground in front of him. The sound of bones snapping and organs bursting was prevalent in the once quiet woods. The first of the attacking wolves was dead, a small, bloody crater was around the broken remains timber wolf.
The second wolf saw the opportunity the first one presented. Taking advantage of the current distraction, and fueled by the rage needed to avenge his lost companion, this one charged the Hulk from the side. While this one was not as big as the first attacker, which was probably the eldest, it made up its lack of strength in speed. This one was able to get within feet of the Hulk before-
HA!!!
It wasn't fast enough. The Hulk, with one hand still on the shattered remains of the first wolf, brought up his other fist to meet the second wolves lower jaw. The result was an upper cut that instantly made the beast skull shatter and his brain eject. The impact was so powerful it resulted in a miniature shock wave which shook the trees and cracked the ground beneath them. The second wolves body was ejected out of the area from the result of the punch.
GRAAAAHHHHH!!!! WHO'S NEXT!!!!!!!
The fourth and fifth wolf learned from their dead brothers mistakes. They did not attack individually, this time, they would make it a team effort. They both positioned themselves at opposite sides of the Hulk. The Hulk's grip tightened around the tail of the dead wolf in front of him. He was expecting this, he has fought wolves before, never this big and strong, but he's fought them before. He knew how this fight was going to end.
Tch...... Well.....I dont have all day. BRING IT!!!!!!
The two beast, brimming with rage and hatred towards their enemy, charged the Hulk. Each one of them with their mind set on one thing, and one thing only; To Kill. The Hulk picked up the dead wolf by his tail, and swung it to the right, hitting the fourth wolf and sending both of the bodies crahsing into the trees by him.The fifth wolf on the other hand was able to get on the Hulks back and bring his massive fangs onto the Hulk's neck. Unfortunately for the beast, his teeth were no where near strong enough to pierce the Hulk's nearly unbreakable skin.
You want to know how it feels to have a 2,000 pound, radioactive, pissed off man to come crashing down on you. It is deadly. The Hulk quickly, while the fifth Wolf was still on his back trying desperately to bite down, flopped down on his back. The wolf was instanly crushed under the massive weight from the Hulk's body. The fourth wolf soon burst out of the trees, apparently only stunned by the collosion of the other wolf. The Hulk while still on his back merely grinned in pleasure for what he was about to do. The wolf sprinted towards the Hulk and then jumped into the air, hoping to pin the Hulk down while he was still on his back.
Stupid Wolf
The wolf was only a couple of feet away from the Hulk when all of a sudden-
Silence.
The Hulk drove his foot into the monsters chest with incredible force. It did not even make a sound. It was so fast with so much strength behind it that the wolf had no time to register what happened. It was dead. The Hulk got up on his feet, leaving the fourth and fifth wolf to rot behind him. He turned around to find the sixth wolf and kill it. What he was facing completely suprised even the Hulk.
Staring straight at the Hulk was indeed the final wolf, but there was something wrong. Instead of Hatred and Anger it should have displayed in front of the Hulk, it was showing a different emotion, something a predator should never show its prey. It was afraid. Upon further looking at it, Hulk realized that this wolf was really small compared to the rest. The ones Hulk killed were around his size, but this one was no taller than a humans waist. It was small almost-
Its a young pup.
Hulk never harmed a child before, reguardless of its race, species, or affilation to good or evil. The longer the Hulk stared into the eyes of the young wolf the more he began to see it. His eyes were filled with nothing but fear and despair. Its legs were shaking and it looked as if it was going to cry at any second. Hulk knew it didn't want to fight. It just wanted to live.
One Big, Green Beacon of Hope
Leave.
Hulk continued to look into the eyes of the young wolf pup, eyes that showed nothing but terror and hopelessness. It couldn't even move, it was too afraid too. After seeing four of his elders easily killed by the green monster in front of him, he was too scared to do much of anything. The young wolf never wanted to attack the creature, it was merely following the orders of the older wolves.
The two beast stood there, one full of fear, the other full of sadness. Hulk hated those eyes. He has seen them so many times in the past, and they always came back to haunt him. Those eyes of fear made him into what everyone else portrays him as, a Monster.
You are too young to die. Go back to where you came from.
Hulk began to turn around and walk away, he couldn't stand to see those painful eyes any longer. It filled him with nothing but despair. The turned his head around the get one good look at the young and afraid pup before leaving the area.
I'm.....Sorry.....
The Hulk then bent down and jumped off into the distance, leaving the small timber wolf alone and still very terrified, surrounded by the bodies of his comrades; but actually it wasn't really alone. Out of the shadows came the third timber wolf. Hiding and viewing the entire scene. The wolf was smart, it realized that this creature was on a differently level of power and would eventually beat their hunting group. The elder timber wolf knew that pursuing it would be a futile effort and would only result in their death. No, he needed to see the leader of their pack and inform him about this new and dangerous creature, but first it needed to take care of one small problem.
The third wolf was angry at the pup, it was disgusted by its show of weakness. Being afraid of your prey was not tolerated by the wolf pack, and the punishment was sever. The elder wolf walked over to the cowering mass in front of it, curled up into a ball to avoid the onslaught that was in front of him. The elder wolf bent down and picked up the young pup in his mouth. He then with swung his head back, and then forward, throwing the young pup into a nearby tree with so much force the young wolf smashed right through and out the other side.
The young pup was on the ground, crying and bleeding. The impact almost broke some of his bones. The elder wolf did not care. It came forward to the young pup and put one of his paws on the pups neck, choking the poor creature.
"Next time you show any sign of weakness, I will not hesitate to kill you. You are pathetic; lucky our master did not see this display of cowardice. Now come on, we have to tell him of this new...........creature."
The elder wolf released the young pup from the bottom of his paw. Gasping for air as the life was nearly taken away by the older wolf, the young pup struggled to get back up, sliping slightly from the now injured legs.
KRWAAAARRR!!!!!
The elder wolf let out a massive roar, its purpose was to get the attention of the other hunting parties. It was only used for absolute emergencies. This, was definitely worthy of the call. Other howls of the timber wolves echoed across the Everfree forest, relaying the message to the thousand that were currently hunting. The forest was the wolves territory, and this new creature threatened their home and hunting grounds.
I will see you at our meeting grounds. And rememeber young one, show any more signs of fear, and I will end you.
The elder wolf then began his journey back to his leader, the little one on the other hand had a another idea entirely. It was curious about the Green Beast. It wanted to know more about it. It's origin, name, was it good or evil. All of those questions came second to the most important question, if it could help him.
The young pup went over to the spot where the Hulk was standing and began to sniff the area, hoping it could get its sent. It needed to find it, at all cost. It was scared no doubt, but this creature, even though it killed about 4 of his "comrades" it was still friendlier then the wolves leader.
After picking up the smell of the beast, the wolf set off into the distance, hoping to find the green powerhouse known as the Hulk.
Everyone knows the story of the Turtle and the Rabbit. The race they had is infamous and is known by pretty much everyone. One thing all rabbits are known for is being fast and agile. This was definitely true in Angel Bunnies case. The white rabbit was unfortunately having a horrible, horrible day. What used to be just a simple scavenger hunt for a mushroom, turned to be a situation where his life was on the line.
Its not completely Angel's fault, he did not know he would have to go so deep into the forest to find this infamous ingredient for the dish he wanted. He was able to find the mushroom he was looking for, but what the rabbit did not know was that it was being followed. You see, the pure white rabbit was an incredibly rare species of rabbits. There meat was considered a delicacy by the wolves.
Angel Bunny was currently hopping, dodging, and weaving in and out through the roots of trees and other natural obstacles that were in his path. He was in the sprint of his life. Behind him were about four of the massive muscular timber wolves who were, instead of being as flexible and agile as the rabbit, were smashing and ramming through the obstacles in its path.
Angel Bunny knew something was wrong. No matter how many times he has gone into the forest, he knew that there should not have been so many wolves out. And not so close to the edge of the forest either. He had only gone in several miles, yet there were dozens of them. Angle Bunny thought he could avoid them, but unfortunately some of them caught on to his sneaky attempts. Now, the only thing on his mind was to run, and run faster.
They were getting closer. He knew he could not out maneuver them. They were stronger, faster, bigger, and overall more powerful then the tiny rabbit. Eventually they would catch up and reach the bunny. It was only a matter of time, and everyone knows what happens when a predator catches up to its prey. Angel bunny tilted his head a little to the side, trying to get a view of how far away he was from the wolves.
*Slash*
Angel Bunny narrowly avoided a fatal attack, a very small portion of the wolves claw hit the backside of the little rabbit, a bloody gash across his back. Angel Bunny fell and tumbled on the ground, rolling until he hit the base of a small tree. The pain was immeasurable. It might of damaged his spine as well because the bunny could not even move its legs. The wolves, snickering as they approach the injured rabbit, their prey as good as dead. The biggest one of the group walked forward, fangs ready to deliver the final blow to the neck. All seemed lost for the poor bunny until-
KRRAAAWWWRR!!!
Nearly inches away from its prey the wolf stopped what it was doing immediately. Instead of easily killing the injured rabbit, it looked up in the air with a bit of confusion. Flopping its ears back and forth, it acted as if it was trying to comprehend the sound it just heard. After several other roars similar to the first he heard, it realized something. It just heard the most important howl the wolves knew.
The wolf looked at his comrades, each one showing a sign of understanding and concern. The leader then looked at the sky and let out a roar similar to the one they just heard. Each of the wolves relayed the message to all of the other hunting groups in the area, to stop what you are doing immediately and get back to their home. The wolves, satisfied with their message being heard, began to leave the area, now sprinting off into the distance, leaving the rabbit against the tree. Bleeding, tired, and weak, Angel was on the verge of passing out but saw everything; he never knew the wolves could be so coordinated and tactical.
Why did they leave me here? They could of easily killed me, what are they doing?
Thought the small and now helpless rabbit.
I have to get back to Flutttershy, the forest is not what it used to be, something big is happening, and I have to get her to a safe place. I...I can't move my legs, and I lost feeling in most of my body. I have to do something, even If I have to crawl all the way back to her, I have to save her.
Angel Bunny, even though he is body is nearly broken, put his pain aside for the safety of his dear friend, Fluttershy. He thought about all of the acts of kindness that the shy pegasus showed him. From the time she found him on the edge of the forest injured and starving, to giving him a home and a place to sleep. She fed him everyday and did not treat her like just an animal, but as a friend. Summoning all of the strength he had left, Angel Bunny got down on his chest, and began to crawl towards the edge of the forest. He was still pretty far away from it, about two miles give or take.
He continued from what seemed like hours, it was starting to get dark and Angel, even though he cared deeply about her friend, could not continue on the amount of energy he had left. He was low on blood and has not eaten or drank any water all day. At this rate, he would die.
Angel Bunny then caught the sennt of what appeared to be water. The air around him was moist. There was water around, something the dehydrated bunny desperately needed. He began to crawl forward, just a little more it thought. If he could just get some water, it could give him some more energy. He made his way to the clearing, his vision was becoming blurry and disoriented. He knew he was going to pass out anytime soon. He was so close to the pool of water in front of him.
Dammit...I cant die, not here, not now!
His thoughts were cut off short as he heard the sound of crashing trees around him. It did not matter to him anyway, he knew he could not make it back all the way to Fluttershys, he tired but he was simply too weak and tired.
Figures...they came back to finish the job, I did leave a trail of blood. I'm so sorry...Fluttershy.
The last thing the rabbit saw before he blacked out was a giant, green figure. Then darkness surrounded him.
Thousands upon thousands of timber wolves gathered inside of the cave by the mountain side. Each and everyone of them heard the call and was eagerly awaiting for there master to come. They formed a circle around the original wolf that first signaled the call. It was the one that would give the report to there powerful and merciless master. Then they saw it, a dark figure coming out the shadows. It was massive, about 15 feet tall, standing on two massive muscular legs supported by a tank like upper body. His claws were so sharp, they looked as if they could cut steel like it was paper. Its eyes glowed with a certian hatred towards all things. It was their lord and master, God of the Timber wolves, Valdis The Destroyer.
YOUNG WOLF! How dare you use the forbidden call to summon me, and no less on the day before our great plan to attack Ponyville.
Valdis was not happy, not at all.
Master we have a problem. A monster of size as great as yours has killed several of our brothers. We fear he could stop your glorious plan from becoming a reality. It attacked us with the ferocity of a demon, the strength of a hundred dragons, and with the speed of the wind. It is a giant green monster that showed no fear even in overwhelming numbers. I worry that this creature might prevent us from achieving your goal master.
Now it was Valdis turn to look suprised. He did not anticipate this. He has been alive for almost a thousand years and never has he heard of such a monster. Then the wolf noticed something different on his master, he wasn't angry, he was happy. He beagn to make a sadistic grin and laugh.
Ha....Haha....Hahahahah!!!! This is interesting. Alright Hunter, I will ease your worries. ATTENTION MY FELLOW TIMBER WOLVES! There has been a change in plans. Instead of tomorrow on the morrow, I shall personally seek and kill this creature which strikes fear into the eyes of my Warriors. I shall mount its head above my throne, and we shall attack Ponyville TONIGHT!!!!
The wolves began to howl and cheer at their masters proclamation. All but one wolf who had a worried look on his face.
not to doubt you, my lord but, this creature, its strong. I think even you will have trouble dealing with it.
Valdis grin disappeared instantly. He looked at the lone wolf who questioned his power. Valdis walked over to the wolf and gave him a puzzled look. The warrior wolf was completely afraid for what his master might do for his sudden outburst. He bent down to stare the wolf eye to eye, it then raised one of it's muscluar arms and placed his hand on top of his head, patting it gently. The wolf closed his eyes as he was being comforted by his God.
You are weak.
The wolf then opened his eyes in shock before-
*CRACK*
Valdis then applied monsterous force onto the wolfs head, shoving it into the ground and in the process crushing all the life it previous had seconds ago.
DOES ANYONE ELSE DOUBT YOUR GOD'S POWER!
All of the wolves had their heads down, not daring to make any eye contact or noise, not daring to question Valdis power. Pleased that none of them would dare speak-
Now...WE KILL THE GREEN BEAST AND ATTACK PONYVILLE TONIGHT!!!! WE SHALL FEAST ON ALL WHO OPPOSE US! I, VALIDIS THE DESTROYER SHALL KILL ALL WHO STAND IN MY WAY!
A Plea For Help
The Hulk, after the confrontation with the wolves, continued to leap and jump for several miles. He noticed the landscape was entirely different than anything they have seen on Earth. Strange unique mountain ranges in the far west, a farm and a small town to the east, and what he could of sworn was a city hanging on the edge of a mountian. Banner, through the eyes of the Hulk, was taking in the information from the new surroundings, while growing more worried by the sound of what sounded like thousands of wolves howling. The Hulk on the other hand, he did not care. There was only one thing on his mind right now, the young pup.
You should of probability killed him Hulk. Leaving that young wolf alive will cause nothing but trouble for us
I already caused enough damage Banner. Besides, I don't hurt anyone who doesn't want to fight.
You said it yourself Hulk. We will always be fighting and alone. That young wolf is probability going to get the rest of his pack and hunt us down, all because you could not kill a pup.
The Hulk landed in a small clearing, contemplating what Banner has just told him. He was disgusted by his harsh words. He knew that logically, what he said was right, but morally-
Sometimes Banner...I wonder who the real monster is.
The Hulk started walking, pushing trees out of his way as he continued his trek through the unknown. While scanning his surroundings for any signs of danger, the Hulk spotted some of the weirdest and strangest looking trees he has ever seen. The fruit on these trees glowed with multicolored dots casting a subtle light on the shadowed forest floor. Despite the strangeness of the fruit, his hunger took priority. It did not matter what he ate, as long as he could eat something.
From the nearest tree, he picked a round purple object the size of a bowling ball. It looked edible enough, though taste was a luxury to the green goliath. He stomach was built to convert anything he ate to pure, raw energy. Though it would be nice once in a while to get something tasty for a change. He took a bite of the abnormal fruit and-
It is one of the worst tasting foods he has ever eaten, but he tolerates it for the sole reason that he just needs something on his stomach. Thinking back, he could not remember the last time they had eaten something. Stranger still, he did not remember anything that happened before waking up in this strange place. How did he and Banner get here in the first place, where ever 'here' is?
The Hulk continued to eat the fruit, feeling strangely rejuvenated, almost like this fruit has some sort of healing properties to it. He continued to push down trees until he came upon another clearing. This time he could see he was not on the verge of falling several hundred feet again. What he saw in front of him was just a small pond of water that sparkled invitingly and offered a sense of tranquility.
The Hulk calmly made his way to the edge of the pond, and began to drink some of its refreshing liquid. It would be getting dark soon; with food nearby and this pond available to him, it seemed like a good place to sleep and relax. Then a dark and depressing scent caught his attention. The smell of-
Blood.
The Hulk turned his attention to the source of the smell and began to walk around to find the source. After walking around the pool of water for a short time, he found it. The Hulk stopped looking at the small creature at his feet. It was one of the most stunning creatures the Hulk has ever seen. It was a rabbit whose fur was as white and pure as new fallen snow. The Hulk always liked the color white. It represented innocence and purity, things no one saw in the Hulk, nor ever would.
The Hulk bent down to look at the creature, noticing that it had a huge slash mark on its back, where the smell of blood was prominent. Maybe he should of killed that tiny wolf, Hulk thought about for a second. He then lifted the small creature in both of its massive hands. Looking down on it, the Hulk wondered if this was a sign, a foreshadowing of his sad life. Such a pure and innocent creature, dying alone and in complete isolation to the world. It was still breathing, but very lightly now. It was going to die soon, and there was nothing he could do to prevent it.
Then something strange caught his eyes, he could of sworn that he saw something sparkling in the sky as the Moon started to rise. He could not describe what it was, it had wings that stretched across the sky and were so black they absorbed the light. It seemed like the wings were engulfing the entire planet in black shroud. Stars started to appear in the darkness, one after the other, each one of them sparkling with life. It was a stunning sight. Such a shame that it would be on this very night, that the pure, white rabbit would die.
"I see you are a fan of the night, green warrior."
Hulk was so entranced by the spectacle above him, he failed to notice the wolf pup who was a couple of feet away from him. Did more of the wolves come back to hunt him like Banner said. He hated when he was right. Hulk did not want to fight, all it wanted was to be left alone on this peaceful night. Hulk tightened his muscles and narrowed his eyes towards the timber wolf.
"I thought I told you to leave."
Then the Hulk noticed that the wolf was limping, and had some dried blood on him. Hulk did not attack him, but something else did. It was hurt, but why? The wolf continued to look at the Hulk, with a completely different set of eyes. Fear and sadness had turned to resolve and hope. The Hulk set the rabbit down next to a tree and began to slowly advance on the wolf.
"Why did you come here? What do you want from me young pup?"
Hulk said with venom in his words, obviously starting to get very mad. The young wolf began to back away, obviously nervous and still afraid of the towering beast in front of it. The wolf then came to the sudden realization that this might not have been the brightest of ideas.
EEP!
The young pup tripped and fell over the root of a tree. The Hulk stopped advancing, and began to snicker at the young pup.
"Ha...You are no threat, just stupid. Leave before I change my mind young one."
Hulk then turned around and began to walk back towards the pond when all of a sudden-
"Wait! Please I did not come here to be told to leave! I...I need your help. Please, I think you are the only one who I can trust."
Hulk, stopping in place was confused.
I just killed four of your pack, and now you are looking for my help? Are you crazy? Also, why should I trust you. You are the one who attacked me in the first place!"
The young wolf pondered the situation carefully, realizing that he was right. The creature in front of him had no reason to trust him. Then he realized that he had a sort of connection to the rabbit before, but it was going to die...Unless-
"What If I told you how you can save that bunny? Would you trust me then?"
The Hulk thought about the pup's words. Was he speaking the truth, he has been betrayed before, and it has cost him dearly. He looked down at the dying rabbit, a mixture of sadness and regret starting to fill his eyes. Though maybe this place was different, I mean talking wolves. The Hulk has seen strange things but never talking wolves.
"Be quick with your words. I swear if you double cross me I will kill you."
The wolf slowly, but with renewed vigor in his eyes, began to come closer to the pool of water. He noticed the purple fruit sitting on the side. He motioned the Hulk to come over and take one of the fruit.
"My elders showed me that this particular fruit has amazing healing abilities. Its juices seals wounds and speed up the bodies natural healing. Just squeeze the fruit above the rabbit's injury and it should keep him alive longer for the time being."
The Hulk, took the fruit and began to walk towards the white bunny. Putting very little effort into it, the Hulk squeezed out every ounce of juice the fruit had to offer on the injured rabbit. To the Hulks surprise, the wound began to glow and then close up. The rabbit was still unconscious, but it would live now. He had never seen a fruit with this type of ability before, it was almost as if the fruit itself was...magical.
"What is your name?"
"Huh..oh umm yes my name. Ummm its Vekk."
"Thank you...Vekk."
The Hulk then carefully picked up the small rabbit, and set him the the bird hole of the abandoned tree. He then turned around and looked down at the wolf, who in turned looked at the Hulk with a sincere smile on his face.
"So ummm...do you think you can trust me now? I promise you I am not like the other wolves. I ummm...dont like violence."
"I can tell, and yes, for the time being I trust you. My other promise still stands though, betray me and I will kill you."
The wolf took a seat down next to the pond and took a small sip of water, just something to help refresh him.
"You are powerful. That much was clear earlier today. What I am about to ask you green warrior is very important. Something bad is about to happen soon. Hundreds of innocent are going to be slaughtered if you don't do something. You see that the timber wolves are the dominate species of these forest, but our leader wants to expand his territory. There is a small town not to far away from here, which he plans to attack. If our master does decide to attack that town, a major war will start and thousands of lives will suffer for the actions that will happen tonight, Unless you can stop him."
"Why should I trust a traitor to his own species?"
"Because! He is evil! We timber wolves never harm the innocent, not when we can help it. We never hunt outside of the forest. Besides...this new leader of ours is ruthless. He killed our previous master, Lord Nul, and took over his position of power. We have no idea where this new creature came from. Some of our elders say he came from the very pits of hell to the land of the living to cause nothing but chaos and destruction. We tried to rebel against him, knowing that his leadership was not what the pack wanted. That only resulted in the death of our loved ones...including my father and mother. Now, all of the wolves are too afraid to oppose him. He is too strong and powerful for us wolves to handle, but you on the other hand. I believe you can stop him and save all of those innocent lives. Please I am begging you!"
The Hulk began to ponder what the wolf just said. Should he really get involved in this fight. A few hours ago those same wolves were trying to kill him. Now, one of them needed his help.
And what makes you think I am not evil as well? I did kill some of your pack earlier.
Because...You were kind enough to spare me. I saw it in your eyes, you didn't want to fight, we forced you too and I am sorry for that.
The Hulk was shocked, he did not expect the wolf to offer an apology. He thought the young pup would come seeking revenge yet he was just here pleading for help.
It's not our fight Hulk. Besides, it would just draw more attention to us, attention we do not need.
If what the wolf said was true Banner, then thousands of lives are at stake here. I can't let those people die.
Hulk even if you do help, they will still think of us as just a monster.
And If I don't help them, I will appear of more of a monster to myself.
The Hulk took one last, long look into the wolfs eyes.
*Sigh* fine... I will help you. Now where is this leader of yours Vekk?
If you follow me green warrior I ca-
Dont call me that. My name is Hulk.
Let The Bodies Hit The Floor
Ponyville.
A small, quiet little town filled with hundreds of the most friendliest and unique ponies you will ever meet. It wasn't the most advance place to live, technology wise, in comparison to Las Pegasus or Manehattan; but it made up for it in the relationship that the towns folk shared with each other. Here in Ponyville, everypony knows who you are. Its one of those pony friendly towns where you can truly rely on your neighbors to assist you with any problem. What really made this town special though is the fact that it is the home of the Legendary Heroes of Equestria, the bearers of the Elements of Harmony.
Living inside of a colossal tree, known as the Town's Library, was in fact one of the Heroes of Equestria, Twilight Sparkle. She represents the Element of Magic, and is an extremely powerful unicorn. She even saved the town in a couple of instances by herself like defeating an Ursa Minor, fixing a broken damn, and even helping the winter wrap up team meet their quota for the year. She was perhaps the most powerful non Alicorn pony on the planet, but she did have one critical weakness; her curiosity.
Twilight Sparkle was a complete book nerd. She was Princess Celestia's personal student, which I guess would entitle her to have an interest in studies and the universe. Though occasionally, or to be more accurate, very frequently, would become completely obsessed in her studies. She would even go to extreme cases where she would dive into books for hours on end, completely ignoring basic needs like food, water, and even her 'personal business', only stopping when she would eventually pass out from mental exhaustion.
Tonight, was one of those nights. She was currently currently reading one a book one of her friends actually recommended to her. She thought of the request strange but she said,
"You are going to need to know this soon Twilight! My Pinkie Pie Sense is going off the charts!"
Isolated in her thoughts and studies, Twilight Sparkle flipped through the last page of the book she was currently reading. After several minutes of reading the last page of the incredible complex but interesting book, she levitated her quill and scribbled down a few more notes onto her scroll.
"Finally! All done. Pinkie Pie was sure right when she told me to try reading "Magic And It's Reaction To Radiation" would be an interesting read. I don't know how it will really benefit me for future purposes, but I could never pass up a good book."
With that she levitated the rolled up scroll into the nearby bookcase, in alphabetical order to Twilight's delight. She looked at the clock and-
"Oh My! I spent the entire day reading that one book!...Well I did think it was interesting, but *Yawn* I better go to bed now, I'm pretty sure I have a huge list of things I need to do tomorrow."
Twilight started advancing towards her staircase when she heard a faint sound coming from behind her. She turned around to notice that her quill and ink had fallen and spilled all over her floor.
"Shoot! Now I have to clean it up. Wait a minute what the-"
Twilight was cut off as she saw several of her books fall from their respective places and hit the floor with a resounding thud. Her entire house started to shake.
"What the hay is going on!" Twilight said, while nearly tripping trying to advance towards to door. Her horn glowed as her magically opened the door to realize its not just her house, its all of Ponyville that is being shaken up. Was it those cows stampeding again from the AppleFarm?
"TWILIGHT!!!!"
Twilight turned her head around to see her number one assistant, Spike, run and unfortunately tumble down the stair way. Spike rubbed his head from the impact and looked at Twilight with a mixture of fear and confusion.
"Twilight what is going on! Why is everything shaking!"
Twilight looked at the town before her, ponies running around in panic, mothers and fathers making sure there young ones were safe, and oddly enough one of them was carrying a lot of muffins to what looked like a safety shelter. She then turned her head around to Spike-
"I think this is an earthquake Spike" Twilight said dumbfounded and very nervous about what this could mean for Ponyvilles citizens.
As Twilight looked back out of her door again, she noticed a certain pink pony skipping and completely oblivious of the situation that was currently presenting itself. She bounced right up to Twilight with one of the most widest smiles she has ever seen.
"Sup Twilight! Isn't this awesome!!! I thought I was the only one who was bouncing but now everypony is as well!!! Oh by the way, I hope you finished that book, because we are going to need that brain of yours soon! :D
5 Minutes ago in the EverFree Forest
My name is Hulk. So...Take me to where-
So Hulk is your name creature.
The Hulk stopped all movement at once. Looking directly up, he noticed a strange bipedal beast standing on top of a boulder. He was huge, perhaps even bigger then the Hulk, with huge arms, massive legs, and claws that looked so sharp, it reminded him of a certain X-Men member that he hated. He looked powerful, he couldn't doubt that. Drawing his attention away from the creature, the Hulk noticed that there were multiple growling noises coming everywhere. The wolves surrounded them, they were trapped.
Vekk...Grab the rabbit and run far away from here. Don't worry, I will clear a path for you. I take it this is the thing I need to kill.
Valdis jumped down from the rock he was standing on, making the ground crack beneath him as he landed. He paused in his movement and looked at the young wolf pup. His eyes glowed an even darker shade of red as anger started to consume Valdis.
So you are the one who killed four of my hunters. You insulted our honor and now you insult me by turning one of my own against us! I will rip out your heart and eat it in front of your dying eyes.
Valdis began to advance slowly towards the Hulk, anger seething through his very being. Claws fully extended, their purpose was to cut the Hulk into pieces.
Let the child go, we will kill him later. For now...I want the green one dead.
The Hulk tightened his muscles, curled his mighty hands into a fist, and stared straight into the eyes of Valdis, every fiber of his being was filled with rage and hatred.
You talk too much.
With that the two beast charged each other, gaining a massive amount of speed mixed with power.
RAAAWAAAARRR!!!!!!!!
They both raised their fist into the air, and proceeded to hit each other with as much strength as possible. Their punch met the others, the force was so powerful it shook the ground beneath them, scattered trees and wolves around them and blew them back, and even made a crater beneath them where their feet used to be. It was so powerful it created a miniature earthquake.
Both of the combatants were flown back from the result of the impact. The Hulk, only stopping when he met the resistance of the mountain side. His eyes were closed, a natural reaction for bracing one self from an imminent collision. His arm was shaking slightly, almost numb from meeting a force nearly equal to or more powerful then his own. His eyes flew open, anger starting to take over. He saw three wolves sprinting towards him while he was still lodged in the wall of rock.
He quickly freed himself, and began to advance on the three wolves. Two of them split off from left to right, and jumped at him, trying to immobilize the use of his arms. They failed as the Hulk's quickly grabbed each of the wolves head in his hand and shoved their bodies into the ground. He could feel their bodies crumble and shatter upon the massive force the Hulk was now producing. It was similar to a person crumbling up a paper ball in his hands. The result produced a sickening blood splattering sound.
The third wolf took the opportunity of his two fallen comrades and jumped straight forward to the Hulk. His hands, still in the ground after killing the other two, was unable to block the third attacker. The wolf opened his mighty jaws and sunk his teeth into the Hulk's neck, causing blood to trickle out of the open wound.
GAAAHH!!!
The Hulk cried out in momentary pain as somehow the wolf was able to pierce his skin. He released the other two dead wolves in the ground and grabbed the third attackers tail. With incredible brute strength, the Hulk ripped the tail out of the third wolf, causing it to yelp in pain. In the split second that caused the wolf to release his hold on the Hulk, he grabbed the wolf by both of his upper legs, and head butt the creature with so much power, that the third wolfs skull broke upon meeting its force and hurled him back through a nearby tree.
The Hulk's wound quickly healed in a matter of seconds, but he was still wondering how the wolves got so much more powerful. It didn't matter, if they could still bleed, they could die. He then jumped into the air, hoping to get a better grasp on the situation and land in the spot where he and Valdis first met. What he saw before he landed was thousands of the massive wolves, all blood thirsty and driven by rage.
The Hulk landed in the center of the crater where the first punch was thrown, only to be met by five more wolves.
I don't have time for this shit.
The Hulk picked up a tree, and launched it at the first wolf he saw, throwing the beast back to the unknown. The other four wolves formed a square around the Hulk, covering all sides, ensuring that he could not escape. They then charged at him from all sides. The Hulk punched the ground in front of him, sending two of the wolves launching in the air, while the other two latched their jaws on his shoulders.
With their teeth firmly set in his now bleeding shoulder, the Hulk flexed his muscles, breaking the fangs of the two wolves. They fell on the ground, both of their mouths spewing out blood. He then jumped several hundred feet in the air and landed on their heads, both of his feet firmly placed where their skulls used to be. The other two wolves recovered from their short flight, and were now charging the Hulk from behind. He turned around, and hit one of the wolves in the in the ribs with his now healed shoulder, cracking them in the process. The other wolf tried the leaping tactic to pin him on the ground. The Hulk was too quick though; he grabbed the wolf midair by the neck and with little effort, snapped his neck.
He tossed the other wolf on the ground and waited for the next attacker too-
GRRRAAAAA!!!!!!!!
The Hulk turned to his left when all of a sudden he was tackled and sent flying several hundred feet into rocks, trees, and other natural obstacles. He went skidding on the ground, his ribs hurt but were not broken...yet. He opened his eyes to see-
DIE!!!!!!!!!
Valdis punched the Hulk's skull with impressive force, enough to sound like a miniature sonic boom. His skull was bleeding, as blow per blow was laid upon the Hulk. A crater starting to form around his body as each punch seemed to be getting stronger and more powerful until-
The Hulk grabbed Valdis right forearm and stopped the next attack from happening. He squeezed it with enough pressure to finally cause the bone to snap. Satisfied, he brought his leg back, and then forward, kicking him in the chest and sending Valdis flying through a nearby boulder several hundred feet away. The Hulk quickly got up, and began to sprint towards Valdis who was still recovering from the impact.
HURRRRAAAAWWW!!!!!!!
He readied his fist, and drove it into Valdis chest, causing multiple bones to snap and break. Valdis was flown from the boulder, blood steadily coming from his mouth. He slid on the ground with so much power rocks and trees were thrown out of the way as Valdis continued to slide. A big dust cloud was beginning to form as he was sliding several hundred feet away, and the fact it was still night time did not make it better for the Hulk's vision.
When it cleared, he was hoping that Valdis was dead so he wouldn't have to-
What the...Is that bastard standing up? And hes...laughing.
Valdis was indeed beginning to stand up, a little clumsily I might add, but he was standing. He then did something Hulk did not expect, he was laughing.
Ha...Haha...Hahaha!!!! Now I see why they died. You have some power monster. Your efforts are wasted though, the victor was already determined the moment you threw the first punch.
Watch this.
Valdis then walked over to a nearby tree, blood still coming out of his mouth slowly, and with his good arm, placed his hand on the tree. To his surprise, it began to wither and die, and Valdis was...glowing.
You want to know why they call me Valdis the Destroyer Hulk? It's because everything I touch...DIES!!!
The tree he touch was now devoid of any life it once previously had. The Hulk then noticed that he was not bleeding anymore, and that he was using both of his hands.
Shit...did he just...
I have a special ability Hulk. You see, the longer this fight continues, the stronger I get. Everything I touch, every step I take, every breath I make!!! I GET STRONGER!!!!!
Valdis lifted one foot into the air, and then brought it back down, causing the ground to shake and break beneath them. This was more then enough to distract the Hulk. He then jumped forward, claws fully extended, and slashed right across the Hulk's face, taking an eye with him.
AARRHHHH-
The Hulk was cut off as Valdis delivered an uppercut to the Hulk's rib cage, then a punch the the side of his face, causing blood to come out of his eyes, mouth, nose, and parts of his broken skull. It was a fact, Valdis was getting stronger the longer this fight continued.
The Hulk on the other hand, was getting more pissed off by the second and was getting harder to control his rage. He took a step forward, closing the gap between them much to the surprise of Valdis. What he did next, would be even more shocking. The Hulk fully extended his arms to the right and left of his body, closed his hands into a fist, and then brought the together with violent force onto the Valdis skull. He created a sonic boom right in Valdis eardrums.
GHAAA!!!!!
Vadis backed away and cried in pain as his skull was partially broken and his eardrums completely shattered. Several other wolves joined to help his master, hoping to-
Perfect haha
Valdis grabbed one of the nearest wolves, and began to drain the life from him, he was healing himself at the expense of his pack mates life. Once the deed was done, Valdis casually tossed the lifeless body to the side and stared at the Hulk with incredible fury. The Hulk was fully healed form the whole ordeal, already charging at Valdis, hoping to not give him another chance to surprise him.
Valdis began to sprint towards the Hulk, fist raised and ready to deliver the assault. The Hulk on the other hand, had something else in mind. Valdis threw the first punch while Hulk ducked and dodged its intended target. He threw his hand back, and launched it into Valdis chest, once again breaking several bones, but remarkably finding it much more tougher than before, but he wasn't done yet. The Hulk put his hand behind Valdis's head, and brought his knee upward, causing another shockwave to occur and the ground to crack beneath them. The Hulk then brought Valdis's head back up, and thew his other hand back, tensing the muscles in the other arm. Readying himself, the Hulk brought his fist into Valdis face, with so much force behind it that it literally shoved his muzzle back into his head slightly.
Valdis was then hurled backward several miles, sending hundreds of trees to be flown out of his path. When the dust cloud cleared from the impact, he saw that at least 20 dead wolves were surrounding Valdis. He was fully healed as well and glowing even brighter. He must of absorbed all of the life out of them!
Hulk was about to advance when all of a sudden a wolf came and bit the his lower leg. In response the Hulk tilted to the side, raised his fist, and brought it crashing down on the wolfs body. Unfortunately, it was a distraction that would cost the Hulk dearly. Valdis took the opportunity and jumped in the air, and landed on the Hulk, sending both of them sliding along the forest ground. Valdis would not give his opponent any mercy. He began to hack, slash, and pound the Hulk into the ground.
NOW!
*Punch*
DO!
*Punch*
YOU!
*Punch*
SEE!!!!
*Punch*
I AM THE STRONGEST ONE THERE IS!!!!!!!!!
The Hulk laid there, Vladis continue the onalsught onto his body. He was thinking about how to defeat this creature. If everything he touches gives him energy, then where is a place where he can't grab anything?
Banner...I figured out a way to quickly end this. I am sorry, but for a split second, I am not going to hold back.
Hulk wait, think about the collateral damage you could cause! We can't let you go World Breaker on us!!!
Don't worry Banner...It will only be for a second.
Valdis continued to lay down punch after punch, now covering both him and the Hulk in a pool of blood. Valdis stopped for a second, realizing that his opponent was just laying there, not moving at all. Had he kill him? No...he was, smiling.
No.
No...what?
Your wrong...HULK IS THE STRONGEST ONE THERE IS!!!!!
The Hulk then opened his eyes, glowing a bright green of pure gamma energy, and launched his fist into Valdis lower jaw. He flew straight upward into the air with incredible force and speed, flying miles and miles higher each second. The Hulk then rammed both of his elbows into the ground beneath him, quickly propelling himself into the air to catch up with Valdis. Once he caught up, he wrapped his arms around Valdis waist, and continue to fly higher, and higher, and higher.
They flew up so high that they soon found themselves nearly within space itself.
Can't absorb anything if you can't touch or breath.
In the brief moment of weightlessness, the Hulk looked upon the planet he was standing on. Its continents were not like that of Earth, he was on another planet entirely he confirmed. That did not matter now though, they were beginning to fall back down into the atmosphere. Now the only thing on his mind, was the person in front of him that he would be smashing! Valdis was unconscious from the lack of oxygen, but the Hulk on the other hand, was extremely pissed off.
Falling through the sky back to the planet, and being engulf by flames, the Hulk started to barrage his opponent with a series of deadly and powerful punches. They flew back down to the forest, Valdis being consumed by the flame and his body unable to withstand the impact of the Hulk's punches. The last thing that was heard before the impact was the sound of bones being broken and shattered as a certain beast uttered his infamous words-
HULK SMASH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Help Is On The Way
Fire.
Flames and ashes rained down from the sky onto the massive crater that was formed from the impact of the Hulk and his opponent, Valids. The fight from the two beasts caused a lot of collateral damage to the vast expanse of the Everfree forest. Several miles of the forest were completely destroyed, battered, or burnt. The fight literally altered the landscape around them. Smoke and clouds of dust were everywhere, and in the center of it all stood The Hulk.
As powerful as the Hulk was, even a fall from space can hurt...a lot. His healing factor was already in motion, his skin didn't even suffer minor burns from the re-entry to the atmosphere. He was naked during the fight, so he did not have to worry about his personal clothing during the confrontation, or burning off from the heat. There landing produced an enormous crater, perhaps several miles wide.
Crouching down, looking at the charred and beaten remains of his opponent, he began to experience emotions of relief, and sorrow.
Did he really want to kill me so badly...that he would even sacrifice his own? How far would he have gone to see my destruction.
The Hulk stood up, taking one last look at his now dead opponent, he began to walk out of the crater, each step cooling the surface of the earth that was still very hot from the impact. After several seconds of walking he stopped; he began to hear footsteps, everywhere. All around the crater, thousands upon thousands of the timber wolves stood, looking upon the Hulk. He was very surprised, he did not expect them to want to fight still. Was it their pride that made them want to fight, or was it because they truly wanted war? It did not matter, the Hulk could not let thousands of innocence die because he let these wolves live. He began to tighten his muscles, slow his breathing, and began to concentrate on the enemies that surrounded him. He was controlling his anger, but he was also displaying the emotion of sadness.
Even when their leader abused and used them, they are still willing to fight. Banner...this is wrong. This is not the fight I should be fighting.
For once Hulk...I agree, this doesn't seem right anymore., but we can't let all of those people die.
The Hulk set one foot behind him, firmly planting it into the ground. His leg muscles tensed up, readying to charge the large pack when suddenly-
One of the wolves began to approach him. He was old...very old. He slowly walked towards him, eyes sagging and each step seeming to take longer then the last. He must of been the eldest one here, clearly in no condition to fight the Hulk. He looked so aged and tired, he did not even have enough energy to even lift his tail above the ground. The Hulk began to lower his guard, seeing as how this old wolf was no threat to him. He decided to wait for the old wolf, wondering what he was doing. When the wolf was within several feet of the Hulk, he stopped moving. He slowly raised his head to look straight at the Hulk, his eyes filled with countless years of knowledge and wisdom. The Hulk in turn, returned the gesture and gazed at the wolf. The two looked at each other for what seemed like hours, trying understand each other not from their appearance but from the soul itself. Until finally the wolf spoke; his voice was rasps and dry, and much slower then the average form of communication.
Thank you for freeing us from the tyranny of Valids, green warrior. Please...Tell us your name.
The Hulk continue to look at the elder wolf, but he was confused. Why did the wolf want to know his name?
My name....is Hulk.
Well Hulk...You have done the Wolf Clan a great service today...We shall honor you name...and tell our grandchildren of your heroic deeds. Thank you.
He was still skeptical, were they still going to attack the town? What were their intentions now?
What will you do now? You are not going to cause anyone harm right?
Be calm Hulk...We will not attack Ponyville tonight, nor ever. We never wanted war, all we want is peace and food for our wives and children, which this forest already provides us...More importantly...we must burry the ones who fought tonight against their will. We regret the loss, but...we hold no grudge against you Hulk.
Goodbye Hulk, Savior of the Forest.
With that, the elder wolf slowly turned around, and with his tail still dragging, began to make his journey back into the forest. The others followed suit, each one of them descending back into the forest, leaving the Hulk in the crater with the smoldering remains of their once evil ruler. The Hulk was now even more confused, had he heard the elder wolf correctly?
Ponyville....? I never heard of any geological location, city, town, or village named...Ponyville? What the hell was he talking about?
Banner, while I was in space for nearly a minute, I got a good look at the planet we are currently standing on. It is not Earth. I do not think the Military are coming for us anytime soon; at least I hope not.
It was still dark out, they must of been fighting for only 30 minutes. Though the amount of destruction and death they caused seemed incredible for such a short amount of time.
*Sigh*
It reeks of blood and death. I am done, I caused enough damage tonight. I'm tired mentally..You take over. One last thing...Stop lying to yourself Banner.
What the hell is that suppose to mea-AAAAAHHHH!!!
Banner's thoughts were cut off as the Hulk reverted back into his regular human state. The process was just as painful as the transformation several hours ago. Bones breaking themselves back down, organs shrinking themselves to normal size. It was so painful it felt like his entire body was on fire. Once the process was complete, the 2000 pound, radioactive rage machine transformed back into the 98 pound, weak nuclear physicist.
AAAHHH!!!!! God Dammit Hul--
The pain was overwhelming, too much for his mind to comprehend, he began to pass out. Darkness started to surround him as his consciousness began to leave. The last thing he heard was the sound of a feminine voice. It sounded very innocent and shy.
"Please wait!!! I can't really run as fast as you vekk. Where is this friend of you- Oh....My..."
5 minutes before Earthquake
"Oh Angel...Where are you. It's been hours and I haven't seen you at all. Something went wrong I just know it. What if he got stuck on some roots, or hit himself by accident, or some nasty predators came after him-
*Gasp*
Fluttershy let a small tear come out of her eye as she finished that last sentence. It was possible, the EverFree Forest was a dangerous and hostile place, especially at night."She was nearly killed by a Hydra once, and was not eager to repeat the experience."
I have to do something. C'mon Fluttershy, put away your fears for your friends. You can do this!!!
With a new sense of confidence, Fluttershy began to gather various items should could bring along for the search of her dearly beloved friend. She trotted around her house, gathering anything from a lantern, to her medical kit, and some bits of food and herbs she collected, to even a comfy scarf that Rarity was generous enough to make her for chilly nights out.
Fluttershy was not really the most social pony, so she did not really go out late at night to begin with, but it was still a very caring act for her to make the scarf. She was grateful now for her friends generosity, for tonight seemed like it would be very, very cold. Satisfied that she collected everything she would need for the trip, she packed all of the items into her bag, slung it over her back, and made her way to the door.
She was about to open the door, when she heard a knocking coming from the other side. She froze, unsure of what to do. It was late at night, why would anypony come all the way out to her cottage? Regardless, it must of been important to travel all the way out here in the night. she put her hoof on the door, and slowly opened it, about to get a good look at the pony who would-
She was not looking at a pony. She was looking at a cold blooded predator; a young timber wolf, but still very large in comparison to ponies. It stood around the same height as Fluttershy, and had glowing yellow eyes that looked all the more intimidating and intense in the blackness of night.
*AAAHHHH!!!!!*
Fluttershy screamed out loud, nearly fainting in the process when she noticed something peculiar in the wolfs mouth. It was-
"ANGEL BUNNY! YOU BIG MEAN WOLF, WHAT DID YOU DO TO MY DEAR ANGEL. YOU PUT HIM DOWN- RIGHT NOW!"
Fluttershy, in the heat of the moment and seeing her friend in potential danger, was about to initiate one of the most threatening thing in Equestrians existence- The Stare. She was about to make the wolf submit to the powerful gaze when-
He put the bunny down by himself.
"Wha...Huh? You put him down? But why?"
He means a lot to a friend of mine.
Fluttershy froze in place. Was she going crazy, did the wolf just-
Yes, we are capable of talking pony, just like your species. Look I know this is a huge surprise to you but we have more important things to worry about. I heard that you are a care taker of animals, well one of my friends is about to get seriously hurt and really could use your help. Please!
The young wolf waited patiently for an answer from the speechless pegasus. She apparently was still in shock, not able to comprehend that this wolf just spoke with her.
"But...How...When...You can talk? Why don't you wolves talk to us ponies then?"
*Sigh* Not to scare you miss-
"It's ummm Fluttershy..."
Right err...Fluttershy, we wolves normally don't talk to our prey.
The minute the wolf referred to her as food, the color started to drain away rom her face. She was visibly very distressed-
B-B-But!!! We don't normally hunt ponies. Especially not me...Umm I actually like you ponies. Even though this is the first time I have ever talked to err one before. I spoke with a Zebra who lives in the forest and from what she told me you ponies seem really nice and peaceful.
The wolf could tell that Fluttershy was relaxing a little bit, still obviously nervous that a predator that could most likely kill her was only several feet away from her. The wolf tried to put on the most sincere smile possible. It was cute in a way, the wolf displayed something similar to a small boys innocent smile. Fluttershy began to return the gesture, noticing that this wolf was actually really nice and knew one of her friends.
"Right...I am sorry Mr. Wolf. I just did not know you could talk, I honestly thought you were going to eat me but you are actually really nice. Your voice is very high-pitched, you must be a young little pup then. You know your actually pretty cute"
The wolf started to visibly blush at the gesture, not expecting the pegasus to give him such a nice complement when-
RAAAWAAAARRR!!!!!!!!
The ground beneath them started to shake and crack seconds later after the monstrous roar was heard. Vekk fell and toppled over himself from the shaking of the ground. Once the shaking stopped after several seconds, he finally was able to regain his composure and request the help of Fluttershy when-
She was not there anymore. Vekk began to look around when he noticed a big, pink form in front of him. Right below him, Fluttershy was curled up into a ball so tight she looked like a big, pink bubble gum. Vekk, clearly worried about Fluttershy's condition, stretched out a paw to inspect her and make sure she was ok.
Ummm Fluttershy, are you ok?
Fluttershy, noticing the danger was gone, slowly uncurled herself and looked back up at the wolf.
"I-I'm fine. J-Just a little shaken up. What was that? Do you know Mr.Wolf?"
Yea I have a pretty good idea what that just was. C'mon Fluttershy, we are running out of time. Our friend is in danger, he could use your help.
Fluttershy began to think about the situation for a moment. Was she being tricked by the wolf. No. He clearly was compassionate and caring, so she wasn't getting lured into a trap. Who was this friend though?
"Umm if you dont mind me asking, who is this friends of yours?"
He is...something I don't even know. What I do know is that he saved both my life, and your little bunny there too.
"He saved Angel Bunny! Oh my I hope he wasn't hurt too badly. It doesn't matter now, whatever he did, it looks like it helped Angel a lot. Alright, lets go and save this friend of yours"
The wolf did a quick jump for joy, happy that the caretaker of the woods was helping him out.
Alright Fluttershy stay close, things are going to get kinda dangerous once we go back into the woods. Don't worry, Ill do my best to protect you...friend.
"I trust you umm-
Vekk. My name is Vekk haha. Mr. Wolf is my father.
Vekk momentarily put his head down for a brief second, to mourn the loss of his father and mother.
"Right...Umm I'm sorry for calling you a bad wolf Vekk, I trust you."
Another loud explosion, something similar to a sonic boom, was audible to both the Wolf and Fluttershy.
We are running out of time, lets go!
The two of them bolted towards the woods, hoping to not meet any other of the now hostile wolves. They both jumped, ducked, and dodged the natural obstacles presented in there path. Hopefully the wolfs keen sense of smell was leading them to the Hulk, though it was still difficult for the both of them. It was dark out, and the forest was extremely big if you went too deep into it. After almost half an hour, the two of the soon realized that-
"Ummm Vekk...were lost...arn't we."
Ummm well Miss Fluttershy you see, well err we are not lost, just taking a short cut haha...ha
Vekk was starting to worry, they were indeed lost. He did not want to admit it though, his boyish pride got in the way and also the fact that his new shy and timid friend might freak out if he told her. Just when all seemed lost-
"What is that!"
Fluttershy lifted a hoof into the air; Vekk followed its direction and noticed a giant flaming ball hurdling towards the ground.
I don't know but whatever it is, I think we should follow it. C'mon lets go!
Vekk began to sprinting towards the blast that the fireball formed, unaware that he was leaving Fluttershy behind. The moonlight gave the timber wolves more strength, power, and speed; something Vekk took advantage of. After about five minutes of running, he came upon the crater. Slowing down to a slower pace, he walked into a bush and peered out of the opening. What he saw was incredible-
His friend the Hulk, who was standing in an enormous crater, had indeed managed to defeated Valdis, that much was evident when he saw the still smoking remains of him. What really caught his eye was what was happening to the Hulk, he was...changing. He was turning from green to...a lighter, sorta light skinned color. He was much, much smaller and looked a lot less intimidating then before.
"AAAHHH!!!!! God Dammit Hul--"
After this smaller creature yelled, he passed out.
"Please wait!!! I can't really run as fast as you vekk. Where is this friend of you- Oh....My..."
Now both Fluttershy and Vekk were staring at the unconscious body of Dr.Bruce Banner. The question now was, what were they going to do with him?
Top Secret
"Wha...What is that thing?"
Fluttershy asked with a bit of fear in her voice as she looked at the unconscious, bipedal creature in front of her. She knew all of the animals that populated Equestria; it came with the duties and responsibilities of being a caretaker. Over her years of treating animals, she has come upon various types of reptiles, mammals, amphibians, birds, and other form of life; but never, in all of the time she spent dedicated to the health and safety of animals, did she ever come upon a creature that looked even remotely familiar to what was several feet in front of her.
"That is...my friend. I honestly do not know what it is, but he is responsible for saving the lives of thousands of innocent animals, including you ponies.
Vekk said that last sentence with a hint of uncertainty. He was still confused as to what he saw happen to the Hulk several minutes ago. The once giant and powerful green creature that stood before him was now much smaller, scrawnier, and lighter then what he appeared to be when they first met. Vekk had to be certain that this was, in fact, the same being that saved him earlier today.
Vekk approached the light skinned creature that was lying on the ground. As he began to inspect every inch of him, he noticed some odd physical features that this 'new' Hulk had. He was indeed smaller, that one was obvious, but his skin was much thinner and did not look as tough as before. This became evident as Vekk accidentally scratched him when he flipped him over to lie on his back. His hair was slightly shorter then it was before and less thick. Fluttershy came over to also take a look at the body, or more specifically, what his diet normally consisted of. She carefully opened his mouth to look at the type of teeth he had, the faint smell of fruit caught her attention, so he must be a herbivor-
"He's an omnivore? That is certainly interesting. At least I know he wont immediately eat any of my animal friends."
"Well despite him being smaller, in all areas, he does still have the same smell as the Hulk, but he is still...different then before.
"I've...never seen anything like this before. He looks so...weak and small. Vekk, don't tell me...Did he do all of this?"
Fluttershy looked around at the massive crater they were standing in, charred and burnt with no sign of forest life anywhere. It was very frightening scene to look at. Then Fluttershy noticed the burned and smashed 'remains' of another creature who looked not friendly at all.
"Oh my Celestia..."
Fluttershy trotted up to the dead remains of Valids, not even blinking as she came upon the horrifying deformed corpse. She was completely overwhelmed by the scene in front of her. She was not expecting to see such violence and brutality, not even in the Everfree forest. It did not even look recognizable to appear as a corpse, it looked like a mangled up pile of burnt flesh. Limbs twisted and broken in ways the timid pegasus never thought was possible. It's lower jaw was missing, teeth either burned or completely gone. One thing was noticeable though, it still had one eye left. They say that the moment of your death, your last emotion is visible on your face. The only type of emotion on the creatures face was of pure fear.
"What type of monster would do this...Vekk, don't tell me your friend did this. Did he cause all of this damage?"
Fluttershy looked at Vekk, a mixture of sadness and anger starting to appear in Fluttershy's voice. She was absolutely against any type of animal violence, and the body in front of her pushed her to the edge. Vekk though, just started at the corpse of his once evil ruler, looking upon it with doubt and uncertainty, almost unable to comprehend the scene.
No Way....Hulk did it. He killed him.
Vekk tore his gaze away from the corpse to look at Fluttershy. His face displaying a mixture of peace and sadness. He knew that to Fluttershy, it appeared as though his friend was the evil one-
Fluttershy...he might of caused this forest a great deal of damage and destruction, he even killed some of my pack mates, but one thing is certain Fluttershy. That corpse you are looking at, it is the dead body of a creature who is nothing but pure evil. A spawn of hell itself. He is the real monster. No, this creature here is not a monster. He is my friend, and more importantly, he is a hero.
Fluttershy looked at the dead corpse one more time, examining it to a more intimate level. She looked deeply into the face of the creature, holding her breath so to not smell the burning and rotting flesh that protruded out of its openings. She looked closer and closer until-
"AAHH!"
Fluttershy jumped back, starting sweating profusely and absolutely horrified. She felt something evil as she was close to the body of Valdis. Almost as if he was trying desperately to absorb her very life essence, even while in death. It was one of the perks (or curse) of being a Bearer of the Elements of Harmony. She had a closer connection to the spirit realm, but this also meant that sprits had a closer connection with her as well. And if the spirit was evil, it left a chilling imprint upon the shy and timid pegasus.
"Who is that Vekk? I never felt something so...evil and cruel before."
Vekk walked up to Fluttershy, who was still completely shaken up and terrified at the interaction of the spirit, and laid his paw gently on her shoulder. It was a sign of comfort and Fluttershy very kindly accepted the gesture, feeling more comfortable with someone she could trust around.
That...is the same monster who killed my family. His name is Valdis, ex-ruler of the forest, and the same beast who was going to kill all of the ponies in your little town not to far away from here.
Fluttershy was stunned at the words that left his mouth, almost unable to comprehend them.
"Y-you mean he was going to attack Ponyville! But why! Why would he want to do such a horrible thing?"
"Valdis was nothing but pure evil, his motives were to just spread chaos and destruction everywhere he went. Fluttershy...he just wanted to see the whole world burn.
"I-"
Huh...Fluttershy wait.
Vekk looked up at the still dark sky. He was confused, flopping his ears back and forth, trying to tune in on a sound he just heard. Fluttershy, out of curiosity and a bit of fear, did her part and remained absolutely quiet. Vekk closed his eyes, trying to amplify his hearing by shutting off all other senses. Then he heard it-
Fluttershy we need to leave now, something is coming. I hear it faintly, but it does not sound like my pack mates or anything that regularly appears in the forest. Please, can you help my friend, you promised right?
Fluttershy looked down at the still unconscious new creature in front of her, and trotted over closer to the body. Getting closer to the body like she did with Valdis, she placed her forehead on his own, trying to get a deeper understand of the type of being he was. What she sensed was sadness, isolation, depression, but most of all, anger; but nothing evil. She backed away from the body, looked back up at Vekk, and nodded her head up and down showing approval that she would help his friend.
Thank you so much, we don't have much time, lets go hid in those bushes on the edge of the crater. I will put him on my back and meet you there. Its still dark so I doubt we have been seen yet.
Once Vekk put the body on his back and made sure he was secure, him and Fluttershy quickly ran to the bush that was seen by Valdis. It was big enough to hold both Vekk, Fluttershy, and the strange creature on his back, but most importantly it would hide them from what was approaching.
*Several Minutes Later*
A small group of Royal Guards landed in the center of the massive crater. Two Pegasus and a Unicorn were from Princess Luna's Recon Unit. They were trained in conducting surveillance of an area and identify possible threats and handle the situation as quickly as possible. While the Pegasus were trained not make a single sound, the unicorn had a bit of trouble hiding his presence while levitating himself, never the less it was impossible to hear unless you had extremely powerful senses.
The group began to examine the area, looking at the scorched earth to the destroyed trees and forest life. Normally it would be difficult for them to observe an area while it was night, but the Shadow Guard genetics enabled them to easily see in the dark. They were sent to investigate both the seismic activity and the flaming object that entered their atmosphere. They were easily surprised by seeing the amount of destruction that was caused to the forest. The unicorn of the group levitated out of the bag on his back a small dark red vile. He poured the liquid contents on the ground and formed a circle of intricate patterns on the ground in front of him. One of the pegasus looked back to see what their unicorn comrade was doing-
"Major Aru, are you sure we should use the summoning circle? It will cause a lot of attention and we are already in timber wolf territory. Our secrecy might be compromised."
One of the pegasus asked the Unicorn as his horn was starting to glow a faint grey, charging up the mystical natural energy that their species were gifted with.
"Are you questioning me rookie? I know what I am doing, besides, this is big. We are looking at a high priority area that needs to be properly examined and analyzed. I am going to notify the General about this. If you don't believe me take a look at that body over there"
Major Aru pointed a hoof to the right to indicate where the pegasus was suppose to go. Trotting over to the location his commanding officer pointed out, the rookie found himself to be soon be looking upon a burnt and decrepit looking corpse. He thought it was not that big of a deal to notify the general about, until he inspected it to a closer level and-
"Dear Celestia! Is that who I think it is!? Ok, now I can see the urgency in using the spell Major. I did not think a creature so powerful could look like...this, especially if it is a God. Hey Night Wing, c'mon lets secure this area and guard the Major while he's setting up the spell."
The two Pegasus shot up into the sky with extreme skill and speed, not even leaving a cloud of dust as they hovered in the sky. It was their duty now to guard their superior while he was setting up the spell to aid them in their mission. It was critical that he was not interrupted or moved from his position during the process.
The unicorns horn glowed brighter, as did the circle on the ground. Channeling the magical energy in his body, his muscles began to ripple and glow the same color as his horn, visibly noticeable through his skin. It was a very risky spell to perform for only one unicorn, but he was part of an elite unit and was trained to be able to operate magic even if it caused the body great physical and mental stress. His organs began to hurt and his blood nearly doubled in speed circulating through his body. The major gritted his teeth as he unleashed as much energy as physically possible until finally the circle on the ground began to actually separate itself from the ground. The circle lifted itself into the air and began to form what appeared to be a portal, big enough to fit several ponies through at once. After several seconds of the portal being open, dozens of ponies in armor were sprinting out of the portal, each of them with various pieces of equipment, weapons, and other items.
"MOVE MOVE MOVE!!! We got our orders! Set up a magic barrier around the area, this is hostile territory! I want guards set up in a 5 miles radius from the blast point! I want the forensics team to examine the body! I need a team to examine the soil composition! I want this area clear of all rodents, wildlife, animals-
Orders left and right were being yelled as dozens upon dozens of guards arrived thought the portal to the crater. The unicorns from the Elite Barrier Unit began to get to work, each horn glowing with tremendous power as a dark black dome was forming around the crater. Small streaks of lightening skittered across the surface the newly formed barrier as the unit added a few more 'lethal' touches to it. Once the area was secure and all of the ponies were at their new stations, the portal offered one last pony to come through.
"AAAATEN-HUT!"
All of the Shadow Guard ponies stopped what they were doing immediately as the last pony stepped through. He was massive, a lot bigger then the average unicorn nearly rivaling the height of Princess Celestia herself. Being nothing but muscle and testosterone, a dark black and red pony with silver armor walked out of the portal to greet his fellow soldiers. His eyes glowed a very dark shade of red that offered a glimpse of how powerful he was. His name was General Night Fury, commander of the entire Shadow Guard Military Force.
"Well this better be good Major, you used a pretty risky spell that is guarantied to get a lot of attention. What have you found out....is that-"
The General walked over to the burnt and dismembered corpse that several ponies were already analyzing and gather samples of. He took a good look at it, and sniffed the broken body. Lifting his head and coughing in disgust the General turned to face the Major.
"This is big. Alright Major, this is going into the black files, meaning this area and all of you now are strictly top secret. We need to notify the Royal Sisters...Valdis The Destroyer...is dead."
Making Friends
Darkness
"Ironic. Why is it that I find peace and comfort in the aspect that most people try to avoid? It's always in the darkness where I feel the safest, away from all of the troubles and problems the Earth presents to me. But...I'm not on Earth anymore...am I?"
Dr. Bruce Banner, AKA the Incredible Hulk, was extremely tired. It has always been physically and mentally taxing transforming into the Hulk and vice versa. It has been a while since he transformed into the green rage machine, so long in fact that he forgot how painful the transformation could be. His body was still not used to the change, so the only way he could cope with the pain was to pass out. Now the only thing on Banners mind was...where was he now?
His bodies nervous system began to reactive itself, giving Banner the opportunity to study his new surroundings one sense at a time. His eyes were still closed, too exhausted to open them, but he felt his body was lying on something soft. It definitely was not the burnt, destroyed ground of the forest. It felt like he was on top of a soft, cushion like surface.
"A bed perhaps? And what is this smell?"
As more of his senses returned to him, he began to get a better understanding of his new location. His nostrils took in the scent of what appeared to be a sweet moisture in the air. The aroma was very enjoyable and strong, almost intoxicating. It smelt like-
"Tea...am I in a house? Whose house am I in anyway?"
Banner was starting to get worried. Someone found him. This was one of his worst fears as being discovered and possibly held hostage was not what he was used too, especially not the Hulk. He was too weak to move, to run, fight, stand, or pretty much anything. He was completely vulnerable, unless whoever took him tried to kill him. The Hulk would not allow Banner to die, less he die as well. Something was off though, he was not bound by any restraints what so ever.
Here he was, lying in what he felt to be a bed of some sort, with the smell of tea in the air and nothing restricting his bodies movements. Maybe he wasn't being held against his will after all. That still left him worried as to where he was exactly. More of his senses registered themselves as his ears twitched slightly to welcome the various sounds of what he heard. Birds Chirping, a slight breeze in the air, and someone....humming? There was another person in the area besides him. That was probably obvious but now he was curious as to whom this voice belong too?
It was a female, Banner came to the conclusion as to when he heard the soft and soothing voice emanating from around him. It put him at ease as her voice seemed to release all the tension in the air and give him a sense of security. It wasn't after several seconds of hearing her hum when he came to the conclusion that her voice wasn't just peaceful, it was absolutely beautiful. He felt a lot safer and actually happier when he heard he angel like voice.
"Oh Hey umm...Vekk. Do you think you can do me a favor please and pass me the spice over there. I would really appreciate it."
Banner heard the shy and timidness in her voice, giving him a sense that the woman had the innocence of a child. It sounded very sincere and considerate, something he nearly forgot existed in the world.
"Sure thing Fluttershy, what are you making away if you don't mind me asking. It smells delicious."
Banner felt a little more at ease hearing the young pups voice as well. He did not know whether it was because of the Hulk's personality but Banner has actually grown sort of fond of the child. But now something else was nagging at the edge of his thoughts, who was this Fluttershy? That did not sound like a regular name for a human girl. Well he did make 'friends' with talking wolves, perhaps this person was of another species entirely.
"Ok now you are just going crazy. It doesn't sound like I am in any sort of danger right now. I might as well listen to what she and Vekk are saying. Its pretty much the only thing I can do now considering I don't even have the strength to lift a finger."
"It's just some herbal soup that Zecora showed me how to make. Its suppose to help make you feel better by helping boost your bodies immune system. I hope he likes it. He looks like he hasn't eaten anything in a long time."
"I'm sure he is going to love it Fluttershy! You took a lot of time to make it. Plus it smells and looks totally delicious! You umm think I could try some?"
*Giggles* My you are so cute! Yes you can have some, but first do you think you could help me set up the table next to your friend. He looks so tired, I think I am going to have to slowly feed him the soup."
"C'mon Fluttershy you know I don't like it when you talk like that! Its embarrassing!"
Banner could clearly hear Vekk was still as boyish as he was the night they met. It was, admittedly to Banner, kinda cute to hear him talk like that. He wondered what this soup of hers would taste like? It did smell very good, but he did not like the concept of eating something he could not physically see. Now he was using what little energy he had to at least open his eyes, to get a clue of where he was. Light started to creep through the crack of his eye lids, as little by little they rose higher. It was kinda funny, such a simple task requiring now so much effort for the tiniest glimpse of the unknown.
Finally after a great deal of effort, Banner was finally able to get his eyes part-way open. He could see that it was now daylight hours. The sunlight coming from the window above him in the room gave him a comforting amount of heat and light. His hypothesis was correct when he made the assumption he was on a bed. Was it a kids bed though, he could clearly see his feet dangled off the end of the small bed form which he laid on. He was grateful for what looked like a curtain wrapped around his lower midsection. At least he wasn't totally naked in the presence of a civilized society. Further inspecting his surrounds through his peripheral vision, he could see that there was a fireplace to the right of him and what looked like a birdhouse connected to the ceiling.
"That is a....interesting room plan. Never thought I would see a fireplace in a person's bed room. Why do I hear the sound of...clopping? What the he-"
Banner's thoughts went dead the instant he saw what was approaching him from the doorway. A techno colored pony, standing around four feet tall, with a coat of bright yellow began to approach him with a pot in her mouth. What was more astounding was the fact it had wings. It was a pegasus, a legendary creature of flight only heard of in mythology. It had light teal eyes with a very long pink mane. Banner came to the assumption that it might be female, based off of the wide hips that accompanied the body. Still it was absolutely incredible. What astounded him more was the fact that it used it's wings as a pair of hands. While scientifically speaking the bone density and muscles found in the body or mostly the wings of a bird would not give it the ability to lift heavy objects off the ground, proportionate to their weight of course. But seeing this female pegasus physically capable of lifting both a chair and a spoon in her wings proved his knowledge to be flawed.
"This is incredible! I never thought I would see a legendary pegasus before! That brings to question though, who is the owner of-"
"Hey Fluttershy I got the table for you. I'll set it down next to him for you. Anything else I could get you?"
"Thank you very much Vekk. I don't I need anything else for now. I appreciate the help and as promised, I saved you a bowl in the kitchen for you if you would like to try some."
Banner was completely freaked out. The same female voice he heard while his eyes were closed, did not belong to another human being. The origin of the shy and admittedly cute voice came from the mystical horse in front of him. Was he going crazy?
"It can....talk. The little pony just spoke fluent english. This is...highly improbable. No Impossible. An equine should not possess the physical ability nor posses the mental capacity to talk let alone be efficient in english! "
As the yellow coated pegasus gently set down the chair and bowl onto the table, she used her left wing to scoop out a good portion of the soup and slowly began to navigate its way to Banner's mouth. As the pegasus leaned over Banner to get the soup closer to his mouth, he couldn't help but smell the scent that was not coming off of the steamy pot, but from the female pegasus. She smelled like a fruit garden, or more pricelessly a combination of all things sweet and pure; something that was oddly comforting to the weak and nearly freaked out human. As the contents of the soup went down his throat, he wondered why the creature was helping him. He had never met her in his entire life, perhaps it was one of Vekk's friends, though that also appeared highly unlikely. The wolf was a carnivore, it preferred meat to take up the majority of his diet as opposed to the pony in front of him, who was a herbivore. Though Vekk was strange to begin with, maybe he could of made friends with her.
No matter how many theories popped up in his head, he came to the conclusion that he would not found out anything if he did not interact with the pony that was currently feeding him. Strangely though he felt more energized, like something in the herbal soup was making him feel more awake and alive. He then instantly regretted it, as another one of his senses came back online, his taste buds instantly registered the awful and nasty taste the soup was presenting. It tasted like dirt mixed with bits of soft pebbles. It was absolutely nasty.
*BLEGH!!* "Ughhh that was very unpleasant. Definitely woke me up. Ughhh."
Banner felt a light solid object hit his chest as soon as he finished the sentence. It was the spoon, the pegasus dropped it the very instant he uttered a word. Banner eyes were now fully open and from what he could see, the female horse was absolutely terrified. She began to back away very slowly, trying to approach the doorway while still looking at Banner when she accidentally hit the wall next to it instead.
*EEP!*
Banner watched as the female pegasus bumped against the wall, unable to make her way to the door. She looked at him with a mixture of worry and confusion. The longer he watched the scene in front of him, the more horrible he felt.
"Oh crap, look what I did. She is totally scared out of her mind. I better say something to calm her down, this is starting to get really sad."
Banner took a deep breath, and arched his back up against the back of the bed to give himself a better view of the little pony. Thinking carefully about how to interact with the timid creature in front of him, he began to take a more empathetic approach. Thinking about it from her position, he was a new creature that she probability has never encountered before. His next few words could either lead to a peaceful, or a hostile reaction. He obviously favored the one that did not get him into anymore conflicts.
*Sigh* "Thank you for the...rejuvenating soup. Ummm....My name is Dr. Bruce Banner. I appreciate you umm err helping me in my current situation. How may I...address you?"
"Dammit why am I stuttering like an idiot? Regardless I think I made a fairly good introduction."
Banner waited patiently as several long, and awkward seconds of silence passed by. The pegasus was still visibly shaken up and nervous. She was currently hiding behind her long pink mane, which to Banner was starting to become rather annoying. As seconds turned into minutes, he could clearly see that this was getting him nowhere. Noticing that he would have to initiate conversation again, he examined a piece of clothing she was wearing, a scarf.
"Thats a...nice scarf you are wearing. It suits your coat and mane."
"Umm...thank you...."
"I'm sorry miss I did not hear you. What did you say?"
"Thank you..."
"Again I can't hear you can you plea-"
"I SAID THANK YOU!! *EEP*
The pegasus, shocked by her sudden outburst, completely hid herself within the folds of her own hair, appearing to Banner what looked like a big pink bowling ball. This was starting to get really sad, really quickly. It seemed as if the female pegasus was incapable of a normal conversation without being frightened. He was beginning to lose hope that he would ever meet a creature who wasn't afraid of him. Bowing his head down in despair, Banner closed his eyes and hoped to drift off back into the darkness again...if it wasn't for a the sudden weight that fell upon his chest. Banner opened his eyes back up to look into the face of another creature, someone he has seen before-
"Is that the-"
Sitting atop of his chest was a pure white rabbit with various bandages covering his body. Still apparently recovering from his wounds, the bunny was hunched over slightly to alleviate the pain in its back. Banner noticed that the rabbit was just sitting there, looking at him. Cocking his head, Banner wondered why the rabbit was currently sitting on his chest. The rabbit suddenly leaned forward and gave what appeared to be a hug. Fluttershy, looking though the folds of her hair, witness the scene in front of her.
"Ummm......Are you the one who saved Angel Bunny?"
Banner, suddenly surprised to hear the timid pony speak, nodded his head in conformation. Technically, the answer wasn't a simple yes or no answer. The Hulk was the real one to save him rabbit, but he did not want to confuse the already frightened horse with the complicated explanation. He did want what anyone to know about his alter-ego.
"Yes I did. Does...he belong to you?"
The timid pony began to slowly uncurl herself from the ball she formed with her hair. A new sense of confidence was radiating through her body as she looked at Banner with a mixture of curiosity and compassion.
"Yes...he is my dear Angel Bunny. Thank you. If it had not been for you he would of died from those nasty wounds.
Banner smiled, happy that he was finally able to start a conversation with the fascinating creature. The pegasus actually was coming closer to him, trotting over to his side where she did something he would not expect, she embraced him in a hug. Banner was unsure of what to do next as her hooves were wrapped around gently behind his neck. He felt his shoulder become wet as tears started to flow out of her eyes. Banner, realizing how much the rabbit actually meant to her, was about to return the gesture when-
*Knock Knock Knock*
Both Banner and Fluttershy stopped as they heard the sound of banging on a door.
"Hey Fluttershy! You there!? Im so sorry it took so long, I was all the way in Las Pegasus when I heard about an Earthquake that happened near Ponyville. You ok, mind if I come in?"

For Better Or Worse
Peace always eluded the one who seeks solitude. As Banner and the colorful equine in front embraced one another, they heard the distinct sound of another individual. To one, it was a dear friend who has shared adventures and overcome times of hardship that invaded their friendship time and time again. To the other, it was nothing but the start of another hunt. Banner knew of this time in his life all too well, where his momentary state of peace will be abruptly shattered and more then likely, the "beast" within him would come out.
But not this time.
This time would be different. Banner would alter the course of his history and change the events in which always repeat themselves. He knew what he had to do, it was what he did best; he had to run. Fluttershy broke the hug and began to trot towards the other end of the room to the doorway, eager to greet her childhood friend. Banner on the other hand, was waiting for the opportunity to escape the confines of this room and make his way far, far away from here.
"Sorry Mr. Banner, I hope you do not mind if I leave to answer the door. I just need to reassure my friend that I am perfectly fine even with the occurrence of that strange earthquake...by the way umm.....do you have any idea how it happened?"
Shit, this was the thing he wanted to hear the yellow Pegasus to ask. He was hoping that this question would not come up in their conversation at all. He knew all to well that all things in his life lead to "him" and would eventually make him appear as nothing but a monster. He came to the conclusion that he was, metaphorically speaking, trapped in a corner. The Pegasus found him in the epicenter of the blast in which the previous fight between the Hulk and Valdis took place, he was an alien to this new species, and the fact that he was a stranger to this new land, he was essentially trapped and his true identity would be soon found. As Banner search for any possible lie in which he could use to evade or elude the Pegasus question, he soon came to the conclusion, that there was virtually no escape.
"Well...I guess you can say that my involvement in the earthquake was-"
*KNOCK KNOCK KNOCK*
"Hey Flutters you there! Please answer the door! C'mon I am worried about you!"
Before Banner began to relive Fluttershy of her curiosity, she was broken out again from her train of thought thanks to her friends constant knocking of her front door; much to Banners relief. Before he was able to answer, the young pony let out an audible "eep!" as well as a quick apology that seemed to address both himself and her friend waiting at the door (Though he doubt that she heard it as well as he did). As the yellow pony excused herself from the room to greet her friend, Banner was formulating his escape, anxious to get out of the house as quickly as possible. In his mind, escape was his only option.
As Fluttershy trotted down the stairs and to the doorway, she briefly glanced to the right of her and noticed that Vekk the Timber Wolf was fast asleep with an empty bowl of the herbal soup next to him. It was a scene that resembled that of just a little filly, one of innocence and purity. A smile crept over her lips as she was nearly deathly afraid of the young pup several hours ago and now as of this moment she was watching him sleep after feeding him some of her soup. Then a thought soon entered her mind.
"Oh Dear I forgot about Vekk...I hope Rainbow Dash does not freak out about him. Well...I guess she is in for a little surprise when she meets Mr. Banner as well. Oh you worry too much Fluttershy, Rainbow Dash is not a mean pony, she will welcome my two new friends with open hooves"
As Fluttershy slowly opened up the doorway, she was promptly knocked over by the blue blur known as Rainbow Dash as she tackled her friend in a tight embrace. Visibly worried and concerned for her friend, she squeezed harder and harder as she did not want to let her dear friend Fluttershy go.
"Sweet Celestia Fluttershy! Am I glad to see you are alright and in one piece. Are you ok!? I was visiting my parents in Las Pegasus when I heard on the News that there was an Earthquake near Ponyville and as soon as I heard about it I flew as fast as I could to check on you guys. Umm...Flutters you good? Oh...right I kinda just tackled you there haha...."
Rainbow Dash released Fluttershy from her embrace and helped her back on her (Slighty) shaking hooves. After helping her up, Rainbow Dash trotted up to a nearby window and peered out into the bright sunny sky, a smile forming on her face.
"Heck Yea!" Rainbow said triumphantly as she jumped into the air with a victorious hoof raised.
"Umm Rainbow, if you don't mind me asking, are you ummm ok?" Fluttershy was slightly confused at the sudden change in attitude at her high speed friend's outburst.
"Buck Yea I am happy, you see what time of day it is! The sun is still rising. I heard about the quake from the news THIS morning, and I arrived at your house THIS morning. I flew over a thousand miles in less than an hour! That's why I am Equestria's Fastest Flyer! Oh yea!!!"
Fluttershy let a light giggle escape her lips, now that her safety was confirmed, it was just like her to go on about how fast she could fly or some form of aerial accomplishment. It's nice to see that she had such a wonderful group of friends. This only boost her confidence that Rainbow Dash might not freak out at the two other guest that were currently taking up residence at the nice little cottage.
"Well Flutters, it was nice seeing you, but now I got to check up on the others, make sure they are safe as well you know. I bet that crazy Pinkie Pie is about to host some sort of "We Survived The PonyVille Earthquake" party or something like that. It sounds like her to do something like that, right Flutters-....."
Rainbow Dash suddenly stopped talking and stared, mouth agape, at something that caught her interest that was past Fluttershy. Following Rainbow Dash's line of sight, Fluttershy turned around to look at what was currently grabbing the speedsters attention. What she saw was just Vekk, still fast asleep at the table, unfortunately drooling all over the nicely carved wood. What Fluttershy expected to happen next, was for Rainbow Dash to ask why there was a Timber Wolf sitting at her table with some contents of soup over its head. She was perfectly fine and prepared to answer that question. What she did expect however, was for Rainbow Dash to push her out of the way while she flew over to tackle Vekk and propel him through the kitchen wall. Fluttershy for her part, was completely shocked, not only because she just witnessed her new friend get hurdled though a wall, but also for the part that well...her friend got thrown through a freaking wall.
"Rainbow Dash!!! Stop what are you doing! Please you don't understand, that wolf is my friend!"
Rainbow Dash stood among the wreckage that was her kitchen, she glared at the hole that she made in the wall seeing if the wolf was down for the count or not. Still tensed up and in an overly-protective state for her friends well being, she began to speak in her own sense of logic and addressed Fluttershy in a manner that seemed most appropriate for this situation.
"Are you F**king Crazy! There is a big Timber Wolf sitting in your house and you want me to believe you are friends with it?!?! I mean c'mon, a Manticore is one thing and I can even accept a Bear, but a freaking pony eating wolf! Have you lost it!?!?"
Rainbow Dash quickly got back into a fighting stance after seeing some of the splintered pieces of wood on the ground starting to move. Bits and pieces of the wreckage started to slide off as the young pup slowly started to emerge from the carnage. Now while his breed was durable thanks to the enchantments placed on them by their ex-God Valdis, he still is aware of the strength that these "peaceful" ponies could exert. So a common reaction to being thrown through a wall is simple enough-
Ouch...That really, REALLY Hurt. What is the big idea anyway!
This was the second time in a row that Rainbow Dash's Jaw nearly dropped and hit the floor. She was, in all matter of speaking, completely freaked out. For one, the young wolf seemed to be unfazed, minus some scratches, from her assault which had enough force to break boulders into pebbles. And two, the "mindless pony killing wolf" had enough common sense and the intelligence to speak perfect equestrian and question her motives, which as time continued, seemed less and less justified even from her perspective.
"Wha....ummm...Am I going crazy or did the wolf just talk?"
"Yes I can talk you big jerk! What is your problem! I was just sleeping comfortably after a long and stressful night of umm...stuff, and you just come out of nowhere and shove me through a freaking wall! What is your problem!
Rainbow Dash was caught off guard by his sudden outburst and the intelligent argument he was presenting to the hostile Pegasus. He was right in all regards, he was just minding his own business and sleeping, and Fluttershy did not appear to have a problem, in fact if she recalled she did say that it was her friend. In all honesty, it was just a big misunderstanding between the two parties, and Rainbow Dash did actually owe the other an apology for her response to the situation. Unfortunately, she had to much pride to really admit she was wrong, so she did the next thing that came to her mind, she came up with a rebuttal.
"Well with all do respect, you do HUNT and KILL our kind, How was I suppose to know what you were going to do when you wake up. You are just a mean wolf who wants to eat me! I know, its in your nature and part of your instincts. Well I will tell you one thing, I can see you somehow managed to deceive Fluttershy, but I will not let you trick me and harm my friends."
Rainbow Dash re-positioned herself into a combat stance, letting her wings fully extend themselves in order to give herself the illusion that she was bigger then she really was and intimidate her opponent. Vekk followed suit and barred his fangs at the hostile pony in front of him, realizing that even though he did not want to fight, he was incredibly pissed and insulted by her outburst.
"Rainbow Dash..."
As the two circled each other, gauging each others strengths and weaknesses, Fluttershy's attempt at getting their attention was getting weaker and weaker as the two started to zone out until-
"RAINBOW DASH!"
Rainbow Dash, now slightly annoyed at her friends intervention, momentarily turned around and ask her why she would ignore the predator in front of them when the only thing actually awaiting her was the dreaded and feared "Stare". It was like looking into oblivion itself, as the longer you stared into the eyes of the unforgiving "Stare" your willpower and anger are replaced by fear and shock.
"Sit Down, and Listen to what I am about to say."
Rainbow Dash and Vekk immediately complied under the intimidating power of the stare, the only thing going through their mind was just to do anything she said so that she would put that lethal weapon away. After seeing both of them follow her instructions and that the fighting came to an abrupt stop, she closed her eyes, and reopened them showing both of them the kind and compassionate face they were both used to seeing.
"Ok good, ummm sorry I had to do that to both of you. I do not like using the "Stare" but it was the only thing I could of done to stop both of you from fighting. You are both my friends and I do not want to see either of you get hurt. *She took a brief glace over them and to the hole in the wall* Er...more hurt then you are now. Umm you are ok right Vekk?"
"Umm Yes Fluttershy I am perfectly fine, I am a pretty tough young wolf, I am just sorry for the hole in your wall" Jeez she is incredibly scary when mad, I hope to never get on her bad side.
Fluttershy waved off the hole in the wall with a flick of her hoof, proclaiming that it was no big deal as long as he was ok. Now, after addressing that matter, she turned her attention to Rainbow Dash, who was staring at the ground with a look of guilt across her face.
"You know what you did was wrong Rainbow Dash, and I know your intentions were pure and you only wished to make sure I was safe, but you insulted my new friend here and ruined some of my house. I not asking for much but I do believe that Vekk is owed and apology."
Rainbow Dash, head still low to the ground, was starting to come to terms with the current situation and the destruction and chaos she caused. She was feeling incredibly guilty and knew everything Fluttershy said was completely right. It was always her pride that would get her into situations like this, and it was one of her fatal downfalls. She was about to suck it up and admit she was wrong and apologize to the offended wolf, when he did something she did not expect. She looked over her shoulder to see the young wolf offer her a comforting smile and laid his paw over her shoulder.
"It's ok, I can see its kind a hard for you to say it but I forgive you. I mean wow, you pack quiet a punch but I can see you are genuinely sorry about what you did. I hope this doesn't stop us from becoming friends, I bet you are a nice pony just like Fluttershy here. Oh and another thing, I do not normally eat ponies, its not really in my diet plan haha."
Rainbow Dash was surprised, she did not expect such an answer come from someone who was rudely woken from sleeping, thrown through a wall, and then racially insulted and placed in a discriminating (If not somewhat understandable) stereotype about his entire species. She was actually touched, she rarely saw this kind of kindness unless it came from Fluttershy or her other friends. Rainbow Dash got back on her hooves and extended lightly punched the side of the wolf's shoulder, smile and all with a fresh and happy atmosphere above them.
"Wow... I did not expect that, haha yea, I was a real jerk back then and I am really sorry about that. You seem like a pretty cool fellow you know, kind a cute too (This made Vekk visibly blush slightly and elicit a slight snicker from Rainbow Dash herself), I guess I should introduce myself. I am Rainbow Dash, Fastest Flyer in all of Equestria and the Famous Element of Loyalty. What's your name kid, you seem kind a young by your voice and size."
Still slightly blushing but now more impressed to be in the presence of not one, but two of the famous Elements of Harmony, Ummm my Name is Vekk, it's a pleasure to meet you Ms. Dash.
"Haha it's nice to meet you to Vekk, glad I could be friends with a cute, adorable-"
Vekk's blush intensified at least three times from all of the compliments she kept on giving him, and she was eating it up at his expense. She would of continued if it had not been for Fluttershy's intervention.
"Rainbow Dash stop teasing Vekk, it's not nice to make our guest uncomfortable." Fluttershy put on a face similar to pouting and criticized Rainbow Dash for her efforts to make Vekk blush.
"Haha alright jeez, just having fun with the little guy, even if his face now is redder then an apple, sorry for embarrassing you Vekk. Your too much fun *Wink*"
"Alright Rainbow Dash before you make Vekk blush anymore, there is one more err...thing I would like you to meet. It's another new friend I made, his name is Dr. Banner and he seems like another very nice...thing. If you would follow me please, he is waiting upstairs in the bed. I am sure you two are going to make really good friends as well"
As Fluttershy finished speaking and motioned them to go up the stairs, Rainbow Dash quickly gave Vekk a playful nuggie and the two of them proceeded to make their way upstairs. Though something was tugging at then end of Rainbow Dash's mind as the last thing Fluttershy said left her with some uneasy questions.
"Say Fluttershy, how come you keep on saying "thing", you do mean a pony or something right? I mean your friend here is a wolf, but still, this is some creature we are meeting right?"
Fluttershy stopped mid-way on the stairs and turned her attention back to her; she put a hoof on her chin as she began to contemplate the recent events in her mind, thinking of the most logical way to answer her question.
"I am sorry Rainbow but honestly...I do not know what "it" is, all I know is that it is a "he" and that he is friendly and nice. He actually saved my dear Angel Bunnies life yesterday so I am very grateful to him. Don't worry Rainbow I am sure you two will get along really well, in fact he is friends with our dear Vekk here. Vekk here actually vouched for him in the first place and said he is a kind creature, so I trust and believe him and so should you."
The three continued their way up the stairs, all of them anxious and a bit worried about what to expect from the new and strange creature. As they approach and opened the door leading to the room they were met with...
Nothing.
"Umm Fluttershy...there is nothing here. I think your "Friend" left" Rainbow Dash pointed a hoof towards an open window with a makeshift bed sheet rope leading down to the ground below. It was apparent that whatever Banner was, he was not the social type and did not want to meet any new ponies, much to Fluttershy's disappointment.
"Well honestly Flutters it was nice, and my time here was WAY more exciting then I would have thought before, but I think I am going to go now and check up on the others and make sure they are alright as well. If you do find your friend I will be more then happy to meet him, but for now I am just going to take my leave. Oh and Peace Vekk (She trotted over to him and gave him a quick kiss on the forehead to make his blush return ten times stronger then what it had been before, much to both his and Fluttershy's slight annoyment)" After that she hopped out of the window that Dr. Banner used to escape and flew towards the sky and on to Ponyville to check up on her other friends.
Fluttershy and Vekk Stood in the room now empty and alone, thinking about their next course of action, for they knew that their friend was in no condition to be moving about and required medical attention. Fluttershy was visibly sad by the fact that he would just leave without saying anything even close to a "GoodBye" or a "Thank You", he just left.
"Hey Fluttershy, you know umm...I think I can pick up his scent and tell you where Dr. Banner is and where he is heading." Fluttershy perked up at the suggestion and nodded her head in agreement that they both wanted to find where their missing friend was. After several minutes of sniffing about the room and various furniture, Vekk poked his head out of the window and sniffed the air for several long seconds. After what seemed like a minute or two, Vekk confirmed that he knew where their friend was heading. He pointed his paw onwards towards the distance to signal the location of Dr. Banner. Fluttershy Trotted up to Vekk and inspected the direction in which he was pointing in, she soon found out exactly where he was heading.
"Oh my...he's....he's going to Sweet Apple Acres?"
Struggle Of The Weak
Why?
That is the word which has flowed through my mind like a raging current every second of everyday for the past several years of my lfie. I begin to reflect upon my actions which placed me in the situation that, yet again, my paranoid mind has put me through. As I run through the vast expanse of trees and plant life, I begin to get a sense of deja vu. It seems as if the only thing I have done for the past several years of my life is run, hide, and fear everything around me, especially myself. I began to think back, as I have so many times in the past, about that infamous day where my life was changed.
Was it preventable?
Was it inevitable?
Or perhaps there is a higher power at work here? Am I a subject of some sort of divine punishment. Did I anger a higher power by attempting to cross the boundaries which separate a man from a God? But wait...I do not believe in God; I do not place my happiness and hopes on a deity that does not answer it's worshipers prayers. I do not seek comfort by wishing upon a being which has no form, or ears to hear.
Pain
Isolation
Fear
Hatred
Despair
These are the trials in which I go through on an everyday bias. I am a man of science, not someone to place all of their hopes and dreams on something that doesn't even exist! I shoulder my own burdens, suffer from my own mistakes, face the consequences from my actions, and live everyday wishing it was the last. If there is a God...then he is not merciful and forgiving; for if he was, it would of granted me the gift of death long ago. Oh how I wish I could die...but...HE wont let me.
Why?
I ask myself this question again as I run blindly through the trees, each step causing a searing pain to course through my body as I am not accustomed to running without some form of protection. The wind rippling across my face, the sun beating down on my nearly naked body, the sound of the grass and dirt being crushed as I run off into the unknown, it gives me a false sense of freedom. As the momentary feeling of liberty passes over my body, my mind reeled back to the earlier events of the day~
30 Minutes Ago
"Sorry Mr. Banner, I hope you do not mind if I leave to answer the door. I promise to come back soon and help you with your wounds. Just sit tight and rest up, I do not want you to hurt yourself again."
The yellow Pegasus began to make her descent down the stairway, the sound of hoof beats getting distinctly smaller and smaller in volume, indicating that she was getting farther and farther away form Dr. Banner, much to his relief. Unbeknownst to her, Dr. Banner was formulating any and all possible escape routes so he could safely get out of the confines of the building and back out into hiding. With as much stealth and speed as he could manage (Which wasn't at all that impressive considering he still suffered a multitude of aches and pains throughout his body) he ripped off the bed sheets and planted his feet to the floor for the first time since he has been in the house. Pain immediately coursed throughout his body as he was mentally (and physically) trying to will the sleepy and sore muscles in his body to obey his commands, and his order was~
"Get up...."
His body began to ach and tremble as he was still suffering from the after effects of transformation from the beast like creature known as the Hulk, into the puny weak human known as Bruce Banner. His body was weary and tired, his bones were stiff and joints were refusing to move. His nervous system was still trying to register itself with the rest of his body. The herbal soup that Fluttershy had made him was, in fact, a medical breakthrough. He studied from other native tribes on his run that some herbs possessed incredible healing properties, but this was ridiculous. Unfortunately, the herbal soup was doing too well on its part, because so far the only thing that Dr. Banner's brain was processing at that moment was excruciating pain~
"Get up...."
His hands clutched tighter and tighter to the bed, sweat was beating down from his forehead and he gritted his teeth as every second he tried to will his body harder and harder to stand up and move. He wanted to, he had too, he needed to get up and get away, and he tried his damned hardest to do that simple task. As the seconds ticked down, he was beginning to doubt escape was possible in his own condition, no matter how hard he tried, he could not remove himself from the bed.
"Dammit...Why can't I get up" Banner said in a tone of both frustration and despair.
Because Banner...You are pathetic and weak.
Hearing the Hulk right now, always in the moment of his failures, set him off the edge. Adrenaline began to course throughout his blood system, his pupils shrank into the size of pinpricks as he went into a rage. The pain that was previously felt was replaced entirely by anger. He was sick of always hearing the Hulk mock and taunt him, sick of always being a failure, sick of always relying on his strength to help him out. Not this time, he would get out of this situation by using his wits, his strength, and his determination alone.
"UNNGHHH!!!!"
Gritting his teeth and straining every muscle in his body, sweat trickling down from his body as every fiber of his being was being tested, his mind trying to over come the body. Banner finally forced himself to stand up, nearly vomiting from the strain it put on his body. His vision went blurry and he almost collapsed from over exerting himself in his current state; luckily though he was able to catch hold of the open window to help support himself. Though his breathing was heavy and his head was down, there was a feeling of success now present on Banners Face. He accomplished his goal of getting out of bed, and now looking around the room, he was about to "kill two birds with one stone". Dr. Banner, now regaining more control over his body, placed his head slightly out of the window to get a better understanding of how high he was from the ground.
"Doesn't seem too high, probably around 20ft from my current position. Hmm...." (Banner began to scan the room around him, noticing the bed sheets lying across the floor.) "That...could actually work."
He began to slowly, taking careful precautions with each step, make his way towards the scattered linens lying on the wooden floor. Using his creative mind (and the ideas inspired by many movies) he began to construct a make-shift rope out of the bed sheets, making sure each knot was tight and secure so it would not fall apart when added weight was applied. Once he was finished making the instrument of his escape, he moved over to the window sill and secured the rope onto the back of the bed to provide a steady resistance so he wouldn't fall. Everything was going smooth and according to his plan of escape~
KAAABOOOOMMMM!!!!!
As the loud, destructive sound of wood and cement being destroyed echoed through the building, new thoughts appeared within the confines of both Bruce and the Hulk's conscious. Emotions that were once dormant began to creep back into the morality of Banners mind; as the sound of chaos raged from downstairs, he realized that he was in fact about to abandon his new friend. Sure, isolation and solitude were ideal for the mutated doctor, but to his surprise, he was starting to become quiet fond of the company the wolf offered to him. Plus the fact that the strange equine did assist with his injuries, provide him a comfy place of rest, and food to help restore and replenish his body, and he was about to just run away, right when they seemed to be in distress. Banner stood ready at the window, the rope already tied off and secured, with a slight hesitation, he began to climb out of the window, placing his feet on the outside of the wall to make sure he was steady and would not plummet to the ground.
I should of known you would leave them.
Banner halted in his decent down to the wall and hung his head down in deep thought~
What more do you expect me to do huh? Our involvement in their situation will only make it worse, you know as well as I do that everyone we try to help always gets hurt more.
That is bullshit and you know it Banner; whether you like it or not, these creatures helped us, WE owe them, and you are just going to leave just like that. After the kindness they have shown us, you are just going to ignore the plea for help; you are nothing but a FUCKING COWARD!
*Sigh*
No Hulk... I do it because we have to...to survive, find peace, and to be.....Alone.
As his feet touched the dirt beneath him, he un-secured himself from the rope and looked up to gaze at the cottage. Now being able to observe the structure from the outside, he noted some very strange objects and designs all around such as the large variety of what appeared to be bird houses; a seriously ridiculously amount of birdhouses of all shapes and sizes. It was covered in forest life such as vines and roots coverage a portion of the building, but not to the point of making it look decrepit and broken. To Banner, it looked like he literally stepped into a fairy tale and at any second he would be attacked by the 'Big Bad Wolf' (Which, in all actuality, already happened). He began to walk away when he saw something (or somepony) exit the building and fly off, he assumed it was her friend which she was going to get. Strange thing he noticed about the flying pony was that when it was a good distance away, odd green flames appeared around its body for a few brief moments.
Banner was left slightly stunned as the blue Pegasus that was flying away turned into a creature of pure black with many holes going through its appendages. He noted the other prominent features that were on the strange black creature such as its horn on its skull, the insect like wings, and its sharp and more than likely carnivorous fangs. He began to doubt that such a creature was the friend of the shy and timid Pegasus, who wouldn't surprise him even if she was afraid of her shadow. It seemed to him that this creature was a predator, did it make those sounds in the house? Was Fluttershy and Vekk really in danger, could their lives be put at risk? Banner didn't know, and slightly cared, the only thing that concerned him was getting away from the area as fast as possible. He began to run, and run, and Run.
Evil Never Dies
Evil.
This is a word that is so casually thrown around that its very meaning is slowly losing its credibility. What is evil anyway? Is it determine by the actions one makes under his or her sense of morality. A fundamental question is whether there is a universal, transcendent definition of evil, or whether evil is determined by one's social or cultural background. One thing is certain though, within the confines of this particular room lies one of the most Evil creatures ever to walk Equestria. Valdis The Destroyer, a twisted and unforgiving God who held no mercy for any of his subjects and ruled the EverFree Forest with no compassion or sympathy for the weak, hungry, or injured.
Two Days ago, the tyrant God was planning on attacking one of the most famous residential area known to pony kind, Ponyville, where the Legendary Bearers of the Elements of Harmony reside. You see, Valdis possessed a special ability that made him neigh but immortal and impossible to kill. Anything, and everything he physically touched, he absorbed its life essence, its energy until it is no more. It could be anything from the trees that populate the forest, to the soil that rest beneath his, to the birds that fly in the sky, and the creatures that roam the surface. None were safe from his power, and thus made his rule unchallenged and feared. All was perfect to the evil being, he would overthrow the Royal Pony Sisters after absorbing the energy of the Bearers Of Harmony and rule over all of Equestria and then the rest of the planet. He would of been the Strongest One Their Is, everything was carefully planned out and nothing was preventing his assault. Unbeknownst to Valdis, a small wolf pup by the name of Vekk was not in favor of his eternal rule and sought out an ally in order to prevent his evil plans from coming to fruition. His prayers were answered as soon he found a warrior of mammoth proportions, and of equal and even possibly greater strength then Valdis. Now, the only thing that stood before Valdis, and his plan to conquer all forms of life, was the
The Incredible Hulk
As the two titans duked it out in the EverFree Forest, it quickly became apparent that the fight would cause incredible collateral damage and destruction. The initial contact alone created a crater and brought forth an earthquake which could be felt all the way to Ponyville. The longer the fight lasted, the more damage the titans caused to the surrounding area, and unto themselves. Valdis in the beginning was sure he would be able to easily overpower and outlast his opponent, knowing not what this creature was, but as a God himself, was overly confident in his abilities to absorb most forms of energy. Though as time went on, Valdis was beginning to doubt himself as the Hulk, no matter how hard he was hit, or how many of his amped up wolfs he sent after him, kept on advancing at him.
Harder
Faster
Stronger
Madder
The Hulk just kept on coming, and it seemed as if each second made him a more deadly and angry.
As the fighting progressed, it soon became apparent who was the stronger of the two, that was until Valdis pulled out a desperate move. After a near fatal blow the Hulk inflicted upon the Wolf God, Valdis began to sacrifice dozens upon dozens of his minions for more power. Valdis consumed and absorbed all the life out of his subjects in order to gain the upper hand on the Hulk. Those sacrifices were not in vain as soon the Hulk found himself fighting a stronger, tougher and meaner version of the Demon God. It was decided very quickly that if the Hulk/Banner had to end this fight as soon as possible. They realized that the only way to end this fight quickly was to cut loose, to let his anger really show. The Hulk, lying on the ground in a pool of his own blood, after a merciless barrage of punches, slashes, and other forms of physical injury, unleashed his true power. The Hulk let loose a punch with so much incredible force, that it propelled Valdis outside of the atmosphere and all the way into space itself. Realizing that there was nothing that Valdis could physically touch to heal or power himself up more in space, took the opportunity to lay down a series of brutal and heavy punches all over Valdis body, as the two hurled down back onto the planets surface. The two of them crashed unto the surface, sending up thousands of rocks and other forms of debris as the impact created a large, burning crater. Valdis, for what it appeared to be, was finished; dead. The Hulk on the other hand~
Was perfectly fine. The Hulk soon left the scene *or reverted back to Banner* and was carried out of the surrounding destroyed area. Lucky for him because the fight gathered a lot of unwanted attention. Soon after the resulting crater was formed from the impact of the two titans, the Elite Forces of the Canterlot Royal Guard arrived on the scene and locked down the entire area, conducting various forms of research to gather more information. The most surprising thing that the ponies found, was the burning, battered, and destroyed carcass of Valdis lying on the ground in the center of the blast. Now two days later, in a top secret area in the Canterlot Mountains, a team of highly trained and intelligent ponies were conducting various test and researching the body which was presented before them. Valdis was now inside of a containment field which neutralized all if not most of his magical and physical abilities, rendering him nearly immobile and unable to do anything to conduct an escape. Many strings of magic were imbedded into this physical body, each second the strings glowed bright colors to signal that they were draining away its energy and keeping him stable for one thing was certain that the team of top secret research ponies found out. Valdis was, as incredible as it seems, not Dead.
"How Long"? Was the question that the midnight blue Alicorn asked as she gazed upon the contained Demon God. This was her first time ever looking upon the feared creature that her sister would mention. After her banishment to the moon, apparently a lot of ancient and forgotten monsters started to emerge from the darkness in hopes of taking over the planet, now that one of their protectors was gone. This was one such creature that her sister spoke of, an ancient and evil Demon God who murdered countless ponies and nearly destroyed their sacred home. Her sister rarely spoke of the evil that plagued the land after her imprisonment on the moon, but this was one that she warned to be very wary of. A young male unicorn trotted up next to the princess, levitating a clipboard in front of his face as he read off his teams current analysis.
"Well your highness, it does not seem like it is going to regain consciousness anytime soon, as the damage is very extensive. Muscle loss, severe tissue damage, lost of or great damage to various vital organs, multiple if not all bones broken or literally 'shattered' in its body. Princess Luna with all due respect, are these precautions really necessary? This creature is nothing but a loosely strung burnt sack of flesh and mass with little to almost no subconscious thought. It is alive yes, but it is comparable to a vegetable now."
Luna continued to stare at the mass of flesh that hung on the strings of magic, contemplating the words of the intelligent young unicorn. It was quiet obvious that it was of no real threat, the thing was practically dead already! But now this raised new, more frightening questions in the goddess mind. How powerful was Valdis? It was a little ridiculous that the amount of damaged that it sustained and vital organs it lost that the thing was still alive. It is a miracle, and perhaps a curse, that the creature could still possess a conscious mind. Could it still feel pain? Was it currently suffering an indescribable amount of agony as pieces of flesh hang loosely from its body? They confirmed that while most of the remaining bodily functions have ceased to operate, its nervous system was still partially active.
"What in Equestria could of done this much damage? Whatever it was, I pray that It will not harm my subjects." Princess Luna was a respectable distance away from the contained creature, just as a safety precaution after all of the tales her sister told her. Curiosity all but compelled her to take a step closer, to examine him from a much closer perspective. She was particular entranced by the creatures appearance; she always admired the wolf itself. It was one of the few creatures that actually liked her nights, even before her descent into insanity. She felt a particular spiritual connection to the wolf, a sort of primal bond that linked her moon and their animalistic behavior together in perfect cohesion. But something was different about this particular 'Wolf'. She did not so much feel a connection to it as more of a fear of it. She could sense it emanate some of its energy to its surrounding area. What she felt, was pure hatred for all living things and an insatiable hunger for power. This thing was pure Evil.
"Yes, my sister recommended caution when dealing with this particular being, and while she is away on 'Emergency Business' I am left in charge of not only Canterlot for the time being but also the research conducted on this subject. Besides, this creature has caused my sister much distress and pain in the past. I will not take her warnings lightly, and neither should you. Now that I see you have the situation under control, continue with your research with great safety and speed, I must see to it that the Sun and Moon are in proper alignment during the time of day."
Princess Luna took one last, long gaze into the empty sockets that once housed its eyes and looked for any sign of activity at all. It was quiet unnerving staring into the black nothingness that was its eye sockets, it seemed to be a physical reflection of its black and evil soul. Satisfied that it is still immobile and made no sudden movements, she turned around and began to trot towards the secret exit of the underground research facility. The secret group of research ponies quickly resumed their work, each of them doing something whether it was graphing charts, mixing various chemicals together with different compounds, or simply looking through a microscope at the sedimentary or biological life that was too small to be seen with the eye alone. Everything went without a single sign of distress, nearly peace and quiet save for the sounds of machinery operating and hooves hitting the ground. Nopony was aware however, that they were in fact being studied, watched, and weakening slowly as one, near dead creature stirred the slightest amount. A single, small, nearly unnoticeable red glow emanated from a single eye socket of Valdis~
HHHHHHUUUUULLLLLKKKKK.............
