Chapter: 2. A bad day for celebration and vacations 2/3

Fluttershy brother did what he did best, be completely disruptive to anything and everycreature other than himself. Especially if they tried to do something around him.
Pinkie Pie hold on the heart of Scharlatan von VOLL BEISCHEIßEN broken with Zephyr interruption, Scharlatan blinked twice and noticed the Royal Guard ready to pouncing him.

He pressed some buttons before Rainbowdash and Flash got to him.

Pinkie Pie just sit down dumbfounded and shrugged, this was apperently not the version of the universe story where things run rather smoothly despite the unavoidable outcome of this one way Vacation.
At least she tried it Fluttershys way.

Fluttershy hoovepalm of doom hit her in the face, her brother did it again, he ruined once more a situation that would potentially turned over life's for the better.
She just take solace in the fact that she wasn't the only one he screwed over, perhaps what ever the old Griffon had planned would see her brother spaced.
Nah, she wasn't that lucky...

Twilight wanted to buck Fluttershys brother trough a wall for this ruined chance to end all this in a friendship solution. Perhaps Zephyr was as Fluttershy put it, the bane of all living beings, after all.

Applejack moved over to Rainbowdash to help restrain the Griffon, but the old Bird just let himself be hold on the ground. He had a resigned smile on his beak.
She would hear him out and see what this was all about.

Gilda Braveheart and some of her work buddy's that had not joined the party do to simply being to overworked to add a cheap booze hangover to that, had a early retirement into the night.

That in fact saved most of them their chance to get to a Lifepod in a few hours.

Meanwhile did the Cargobay had all its exit sealed and while the celebration stopped the trapped Griffon workers to noticed it, would it not change the events of the story very mutch in the end.

Flash and Rainbowdash restrained the cooperative Griffon on the ground. He did to their surprise nothing besides giving a sad smile to them. That unnerved them very mutch.
Normally a villain would continue with his monolog like in a Daring Do uncut adventure book or give some warning out.
But nothing of this happend.

Fluttershy cuff her brother with a wing when the idiot continue to stare at Flash Sentry ass, if as it was the cure to his eternal singel status. She wondered if she could get somepony to drop kick his horny ass into at least a wall.

Rarity Bell was besides herself. How could this disgrace of fashion, good looks and situational awareness be armed with a stallionhood long enough to reach over his front legs.
While she agreed that Fluttershys brother was a desaster on hooves, maybe his genetic payload was worth something.
But how to do that with a coltcuddler was escaping her.

Spike was very confused why Rarity would give Fluttershys brother so mutch attention, while his marebreaker was ridiculous long it was also thinner than his own. His double canons weren't even worth comparing, because he was so mutch better! Than again, he never give her a good look to know this.

Twilight was besides the ridiculous user un-friendly ship controls. What ever Scharlatan had done, she noticed that their Ship had turned away with its view windows and cameras away from the planet. The view out their observations window showed them flying towards their ships belly, when one actually give them some attention to it.
She had a bad feeling about this all.

Captain Sharpbeak was already in his personal Lifepod. It was basicly a Royal model in size and interior design, but his was heavy reinforce and he had anything he would ever need for the rest of his life.

Scharlatan had given him his plans for the future of the Griffonia Empire and Equestrian princessdom and he just wanted to stay away as far he could from it as possible. No better way than being on a entirely other planet.

He wasn't that old, but life had given him the shaft one to many times and he could do a lot worse than living his remaining lifetime alone on a alien world. Maybe he actually would enjoy the fireworks the ship would produce when Scharlatan would have his revenge and take everyone except himself to a water filled grave.

His last love was Scharlatan's daughter, while her father was unhappy about her daughters tastes, did he was accepting of it as long she was happy.
With Gildras death Sharpbeak and Scharlatans world ended.

Scharlatan was a dying old Griffon of a dying old class of rare Griffons. A surprisingly excellent tradesgriff and uncharacteristicly honest Bird. He was the best friend and father-in-law anygriff could as for.
He would have his last wish fulfilled.

Sharpbeak would grant the old Bird his dying wish of Equestria at war with Griffonia as to get the hated Griffonia Royal familie ended, just like they had ended their most loyal Nobel family line, the von VOLL BEISCHEIßEN.

Sharpbeak wondered if he got to tell them all what they would die for, but in the end it would not matter. All that would matter was that Sharpbeak would get a early retirement free of anything that would stand against granting him a peaceful lonewolf lifestyle.

Just like in his dreams. Free of anything and only adventure and peace ahead. Once they breach atmosphere would he separate from this flying bucket that looked space worthy, but would probably at best only hold not more than 2-3 landings before falling apart.

All in accordance with his crews knowledge. They never know that Scharlatan had selected and hired them all after researching them and their families bloodlines. Never in Sharpbeaks darkest bad dreams would he guessed the Royal familie had so many branches thrown out.

To think that Scharlatan had ruined their families to hire them and collecting them to kill them all in one Tarterus of a event? That CatBird would have made a Griffon King worthy of Griffonia.
What dedication!

But it would all end today, he would have his revenge on his Nation and his family's killers and their family trees.
What a way to end it all...

"You can not be seriouse!" Twilight shouted.
Flash serious Sentry was remarking:
"No he isn't, i am!" He allowed himself a chuckel of his most beloved pun. "But seriously, he can't be seriouse. That would get him killed as well and i doubt his friend would actually go along with it.
It's a nice tragic story worthy of a Daring Do book BUT really? No way in Tarterus!"

Rainbowdash nodded energetically: "My aunty told me the stuff she keeps in her notes and out the books she published, no way did he plan to kill himself, while making sure everyone around him dies along. After all, that kind of Roadapples only happens in fiction and not in real life!"

Pinkie Pie hooves meet her face, her face did not appreciate the unwelcome visit.

Applejack furry short coat was at least one shade lighter, when she managed to swallow her shock did she croaked out: "It's all true! He didn't tell a singel lie today with exception to him being the Captain of the Ship!"

Even Zephyr jaw hit the ground at this revelation, they where all going to die! He was going to die! His tsundere sister that always joked about waving him with a smile goodbye seing him dying the most horrible way possible was coming true.
Bless Fluttershy heart as a tsundere, but they where all going to die either on the ship when it blow up or crash on the planet or on the planet by either drowning or living the rest of their days there!

Rarity Bell loved her dramatic moments and this one really was screaming for a fainting couch, but she had the feeling she would regret grabbing it now.

Some Griffons started to get wasted, some of them started to have a really good time together.
This party was going to be the best party in their life's.

To sad they didn't know how true the thought was. By the time the cheap rum laced with aphrodisiacs would have them drunk and exhausted, would noone in the Cargobay have enough mental faculties to make it past the locked doors and fire suppression blast gates to the escape pods.

Only the lucky few that didn't partied alongside their crewmembers in the Cargobay even had a real chance making it out of the ship in time.

Pinkie Pie had managed to guilt trip Flashy and Dashy into letting the Griffon go. She helped him up and as previously offered, hugged gently the feathers out of him.

Twilight in the meantime had to concede defeat, she was a genius in magic and Equestrian engineering, but Griffonia tech was simply to different to her to hacking into it in time.
If Pinkie Pie and Fluttershy could not saved them, than this would all end rather soon she feared.

Gilda Braveheart woke up after having her full bladder waking her from a well earned sleep.
She walked annoyed to her own escape pods toilet, since unlike the general use crew toilets they are clean.

She had maintenanced her own escape pod when she had some free time. It was the only thing she enjoyed doing on the ship outside working on lifepod 11 by gutting other already damaged lifepods and having a workout to keep her body in top form.

Once her employer had pulled trough with this scam so it would see them all rich, would she finally have more than enough money to have a fulfilled private life and perhaps even a chance on a small bakery.

If she had it calculated correctly, would she have enough money to start a bakery with Gabby and the little dweeb Gallus as employees to make a good living.

As she flushed the toilet and walked back to her crew sleeping quarters, did she had a content smile on her beak. Life was good.

Her pet project of the restoration of higher class lifepod 11 was finished yesterday. Once they landed, she would detach it and sell it.
Noone would miss it, when they remotely detonated the ships reactor once they returned to Equis after this virgin flight of 'True Friendship'.
