Load Full Story Next ChapterIt was bright and early in the city of Canterlot and under the Canterlot Bridge two beings that were anthro unicorns with in midst of Battle.
"Yield, Kandor," The black one said.
"A Hunter never yields Fighter," Kandor replied. "I would rather die."
"Terms accepted."
Fighter leaped in and tries to slam him, but Kandor dodge him, then Fighter did two quick punches but Kandor blocked them with his sword, and the Fighter rolled up allowing Kandor to punch him than had his sword in front of the black unicorn.
"Your turn, yield."
Then a crack of sunlight beams down on him that sizzles his armor allowing Fighter to do a magic blast at him making Kandor drop his sword but quickly grab it then his necklace started to blink.
"There is nowhere for you to run, Hunter. Give me the necklace."
Kandor musted his strength and ran underneath the bridge then Fighter pulled a sneak attack and engage in a struggle.
"It all ends here," Fighter exclaimed as drew his swords. "It's me or the sun, either way, you're doomed."
"No," Kandor shot back. "The necklace will find a champion. We stop you and your master. I may end, but the war will go on."
Kandor falls off the bridge and into the sunlight where he'd turned to stone and then broken into a million pieces but the necklace remain intact. Fighter knew he could enter sunlight so vanish into the darkness.
Meanwhile, two 15-year-old boys were on their skateboards and headed to school.
"We need to pick it up!"
"Before we get detention, all because of meatloaf."
"The canal, Soarin, it'll save us five minutes!"
"Copy that, Flash!"
Both took a shortcut through the woods Flash took charge and landed under the bridge.
"Flash Sentry..." A voice called out for him then Soarin arrived.
"How awesome are we," He exclaimed then noticed something. "Is everything okay Sentry?"
"Called me crazy, but I think that pile of rocks knows my name."
"No honking way, minerals can't talk, there has to be a walkie-talkie or something?"
Flash removed a couple of them to show a gold chain necklace with a red heart.
"Who's doing this? Come out now!"
"Hello? I'm listening," Flash talked to it then he and Soarin heard the bell.
"Crud, final bell!"
"Come on, we can still make it!"
As the guys, an unknown figure whose hair shines like the sun watch the event unfold
"It chose a human?" She asked.
A few moments later...
"The Peloponnesian War was really three wars fought between Athens and Sparta. The first war is known as the Archimad War type that into your search engine..." The guys' teacher Mr. Lung was speaking just as Flash Sentry was gawking at Sunset Shimmer.
"Uh, dude, your drooling," Soarin told him.
"No, I'm not," Flash replied. "What are you doing?"
"Research."
"Hey, look up talking necklance."
"Already did and all I got was a toy."
"Mr. Sentry, would you agree?" Mr. Lung got his attention.
"Yes," Flash was startled a bit then the bell rang and the students started to leave.
"Okay, students, don't your report of Michealson chapters four and five are due tomorrow. Sentry, may I have a word?" He asked him to stay behind. "Flash, you're distracted. You fell asleep between the invasion of Attica and the Peace of Nicas, and your attention wanders for the rest of class."
"Sorry, didn't get much sleep last night," Flash stretched his arms.
"I know it's you and your mother and you want to help her."
"She just really tired, Mr. Lung. She's been working double shifts at the clinic."
"I believe I'm overdue for a conservation with her. Have her call me, please." He hands him a business card. "And feel free to drop by my office if ever need to talk."
"Yeah, I do that."
"Oh, and Flash, if you fancy Miss Shimmer, I submit that talking to her will be much more effective than staring at her."
...
"I'm almost there," Spike Drake said as he climb the rope.
"Come on, Spike," Twilight Sparkle his sister cheered him on. "You got this."
"Every student in here should be able to climb the rope and ring the bell," Coach Mellor exclaimed. "I will not have slackers in this gym, I will make all of you sharp as steel!"
"Yikes! Do not want to be around Mellor when in a fit," Sunset exclaimed then looked at Flash. "Is everything okay, Flash?"
"Yeah, everything's fine!" Flash sheepily said then ran off.
"What that all about?"
"Move it, slackers!" Mellor yelled at Snips and Snails.
...
"You literally spoke to her, not just in your head?" Soarin asked.
"Yeah, I did, sort of," Flash replied. "You think I should join the play?"
"Yeah, why not, I mean you got the part, and you always wanted some excitement."
"Sure, but it's more like saving the city like the girls, not being Romeo and Juliet. I just need to know there's something more than high school," Flash said heard something he turned a saw a shadow it moved as he blinked.

...
"Oh, great not him again," Soarin groaned as Blueblood and his buddies Fido, Spot, and Rover and put a Mirco in the locker prompting Flash to confront.
"Tell me again, dork-face," Blueblood said then knock on the door. "Tell me about the creatures and maybe I'll you out."
"Or maybe you can let him out, right now... it would be nice," Flash came in.
"Yeah, mind your own business, Sentry," Blueblood said.
"I'm seriously let him out."
"Or you do what?" Blueblood asked as he grabbed hold of him.
"Go right ahead punch me."
"Yeah. Knock yourself out. In 20 years, you're gonna be fat and bald, and be working in muffler shop."
"Do you have any idea, who I am?"
"I do, you're the son of Bright Light one of the biggest tech companies in the world, but you are a student just like the rest of us, that doesn't mean you push around like dirt."
"Is something going on?" Coach Mellor asked.
"Nothing, Coach Mellor," Blueblood replied to the one person he's truly afraid of. "Just helping out Mirco Chips."
He motioned for Fido to let him out.
"Friday, noon, You and me."
Blueblood and the others left.
"Nice going Flash," Rainbow Dash said as she, Rarity, and Applejack walked up.
"Some finally, stand up to that brute," Rarity implied.
"Shucks, that you have to fight on Friday," Applejack exclaimed.
"I think I'll manage," Flash said.
Later that night at Flash's home.
"Hey, Soarin," He answered his phone.
Hey man, did that necklance talk again, or did it do anything interesting?
"Nope!"
Anyway I got to help my grandma make dinner, text if it does anything cool.
Soon as Soarin left, the necklace began to glow which Flash notice.
"Uh, hi. How are you doing? I'm Flash Sentry. But you already knew that because you know my name which is weird. Hello anybody there?" Flash asked then heard a loud thud coming from the basement. "Racoons."
He grabbed a broom and then headed down. He looked around to make sure that no trash-eaters were here.
"Okay, false alarm,"
Then the figure from before was right behind him.
"Master Flash!" She shouted that making him jump She was an anthro white anthro alicorn with long hair that was a mix of pink, light blue, green, and cobalt. "We have found you!"
"I am known as Celestia!"
"Hi," A larger one said. "My name is Dor."
Then he picked him up.
"Young one, you have been chosen."
"Hmm. Celestia, he looks scared."
"Uh, Dor, my good fellow, would you mind?"
Dor drops him and places him back up.
"Now where was I... I remember... Flash Sentry, you have been chosen. The Rainbow of Light challenges you to ascend to the scariest offices. Unbeknownst to your kind, there is a secret world, a vast civilization of many creatures lurking beneath your feet, hidden from view."
"What kind?" Flash asked while stuttering a bit.
"Ponies, dragons, sea ponies, and yaks to name a few and it is now your charge to protect them. For you, Master Flash, are the Hunter.
"Hunter."
"This honor is yours to accept. So what say you?"
Flash fainted.
"Is that a yes?"
Hours later...
"Weird where they go?" Flash asked while outside then took out the necklace.
The necklace began to glow and then show some writing.
"For the glory of Starswirl, may the magic of friendship be with me." Flash read it then glowing of magic surrounded him.
Then out of nowhere golden armor encased him then a large golden sword-bearing seven jewels appeared.
"This is awesome!" Flash exclaimed.
...
Meanwhile, at the Camelot Bridge, a woman who wore basic attire while carrying a staff with a pink gem looked at the rubble.
"It's been taken. You failed Fighter. You let it go. Your master will not be pleased."
"Whoever holds The Rainbow of Light, I shall destroy him, just as I have done with a single one of them," Fighter exclaimed.
"Worry not, you brute, I know where to find it. I believe the amulet has found its champion.
