Chapter 5: The reality and truth behind Spike's sacrifice

Previous Chapter
The reality and truth behind Spike's sacrifice

Originally, this was truly supposed to be the final chapter of this story, but it felt too much like I was rushing things, plus there were much needed details that needed fleshing out.

I know this was supposed to be a side project, but I can't help but give the best I can. Which is part of the reason this chapter took longer than expected.

Anyway, I hope you enjoy the chapter and I hope to get the next chapter out soon.

This story will not continue beyond this point. All my focus will be on the New version of OBJECTION this story will resume there.

I'm sorry for the inconvenience:pinkiesad2:

The reality and truth behind Spike's sacrifice

Everyone just stared dumbfoundedly at the glasses wearing mare, who sat on her stool, next to Tirek who stood beside his shared defense attorney, with his shackled arms cross, grinning smugly.

Chrysalis and Spike were still in the interrogation room and thanks to Luna turning off the one-way mirror and turning on the communication speakers earlier. They can both see and hear everything going on in the other room.

The room was silent as Spike's group tried to process what the piece of information they just heard. The silence was soon broken by one orange dragoness.

"THE HELL DO YOU MEAN THAT, SPIKE'S DEATH WASN'T A MURDER?"

Smolder yelled with righteous fury as she stared angrily at the glasses wearing unicorn.

"AND WHAT THE HAY IS TIREK DOING HERE?"

Yelled Rainbow. Also, just as angry.

Raven finished her Hazlenut ice coffee and made the cup disappear into thin air with her magic. She then adjusted her glasses before finally speaking. "Tirek is here because he haves the right to be." She answers. "I made sure to grab him before coming here, as he too was convicted for a crime he didn't commit." Turns her attention to Smolder. "And what do you mean, what do I mean? Chrysalis and I said it as clear as day. Spike death wasn't a murder!"

"THE HELL IT WASN'T!" Roared Smolder. "It's straight up fact that those two along with; and I hate to say it. Cozy glow, killed Spike."

"And how could you be so sure about that, Ms. Smolder?" Asked Raven "As I recall, you weren't there during that particular moment, so your argument is invalid."

"THAT DOESN'T CHANGE THE FACT SPIKE DIED BECAUSE OF THOSE THREE!!!!" Smolder yelled.

Raven shook her head in disagreement. "And that's where you and everyone else are wrong." She countered. "Though it's true that it was because of their magic blast that cause the bell to explode, that doesn't mean they were the absolute cause of it."

"AND HOW THE HAY WERE THEY NOT THE CAUSE?'" Yelled Rainbow. "My friends and I saw the whole thing, we were right there when it happened, and just as you said how Smolder wasn't there when it happened, neither were you."

"True, but you forget, Rainbow Dash, I been investigating this case for the past three weeks and part of that investigation meant talking to you and the rest of your friends about what happened that day," Raven adjusts her glasses. "Mainly, Twilight. She's actually the only one I needed to talk to. You and everyone else already know about my relationship with her as well as Spike. I knew the two of them for years, so of course, Twilight and I had a moment to talk about things. I even asked if I could perform a memory spell on her, so I can see how it all happened for myself. So, even if I wasn't there, I know exactly what happened."

Raven let out a heavy sigh. "And what I witness, still mind boggles me, on how all of you could even believe for a millisecond that the evil trio were responsible for Spike's death. When it's clear as day that they weren't." She lets out another heavy sigh. "But given yours and your friends history with these kinds of things. I don't know why I should be surprised anymore."

"And what the hay is that supposed to mean?" Asked AJ.

"It means that you all have a long history of being absolutely dense. You all suffer from some illness that makes you unable to process a situation logically. The solution could be absolutely obvious, but you would just either flat out ignore it or don't even try to really use your brains." Raven explains. "Remember earlier during the meeting, I proved just how stupid the 12 of you are, for not being able to tell that Spike was the secret admirer who been sending you those letters. Hell, even when you all saw him in the worst disguise ever, that doesn't even cover up his most defining features,"

"Like his wings, tail, height, scales, the facts that he clearly wasn't a pony, that five of you who are a part Spike's herd each saw him in that same exact disguise once before, that one of you out those same five known him his whole life since she first hatch him from his egg, and that he is literally the only one in Ponyville who haves Gabby's address and can send an unmark letter to her without having to use the post office where he would have to mark it properly." Ocellus added.

"YOU STILL COULDN'T TELL THAT IT WAS SPIKE THE WHOLE TIME." Raven bellowed. Causing her fellow herdmates to wince at the accusation. For they knew she was right. "And that's just one out of the million problems you idiots could have solved if you just use your fucking heads. Remember what I mentioned earlier, about how the Mane 6 are unable to process a situation logically and just flat out ignore the obvious solution. I already told you back at the meeeting about MMMM, and how the solution to that was to simply have some fucking patience." Raven glares at Rarity, Rainbow, and Fluttershy. Who only wince back from her stare.

Raven continues. "And the list goes on and on, The Parasprites, The Magic Duel, Mare Do Well, The Zombie Prank, The Play about Celestia, that one Cider Season when you all first met Flim and Flam, HA! That was a good one, and just so members of the young six isn't left out, there was even that whole mess with Rainbow being the coach for the cheerleading squad." Raven shook her head disappointedly. "And as much as I would love to explain each issue in great detail. It would be a waste of time, and besides that's not my job here, No, that privilege belongs to someone else."

"And who exactly are you talking about?" Smolder asked.

Raven said nothing, she just sat there on her stool, quietly, while thinking about, HER.

*****

Raven would want nothing more than explain in great detail about each of the groups past issues, hell she would love to point out all their flaws, that would serve to prove her point on just how stupid they all are. It would help in her case immensely, but it will give out information that can't be processed, questions would be asked that can't be answered, at least not here. Definitely not here, no! That job belongs only to her, the other one the other,

RAVEN INKWELL.

From the other universe.

Inside Raven's office is a large grand mirror. That look similar to the one Twilight haves at her castle and like that one, this mirror is also a gateway to another world.

Raven had no idea how it got there or where it came from. She was just sitting in her office thinking about her beloved who had just died that fateful day, and it just suddenly appeared out of nowhere.

Before Raven could question why a mirror suddenly appeared before her, the reflection of her and her office was replaced by image of..... Herself standing there smiling.

"Why Hello, Ms. Inkwell. It's a pleasure for you and I to meet, for we have much to talk about a certain Draconequus who's needs to own up to his crimes."

And that's how This Raven met That Raven and together they both set up a plan to make sure that Discord of this universe was seen for the monster he is. Both Ravens were alike in many ways but different in others, the same can be said about their respective universes. For example in rhe other Raven universe, she never was a defense attorney, nor did she work any job in the court room. She is and and has always been Celestia's secretary assistant.

She too was also fighting her battle against Discord, though it sounded more like a war. One that other Raven had finally found the opportunity to see coming to an end, by her Discord's own hands. When he confess starting the Legion of doom, but things didn't go as she thought they would. Like the mane 6 and friends of this universe, the ones in the other world also forgave Discord, which really piss the other Raven off. So, she decided to take care of things herself.

Raven could relate to the other Raven issues to some degree, but what she really didn't understand is why she had such burning hatred towards her Discord. Raven wanted to ask but decided against it.

Raven learned how her other self plans to take down her Discord. It involved showing the Mane 6 their flaws, which is why Raven can't use that plan here. It would open up a whole can of worms definitely not fit for this world, but that doesn't mean she doesn't have ways that are.

The other Raven have her way to take down her Discord. This Raven have hers. Two complete separate different paths leading to the same exact goal with different outcomes.

*****

After a moment of silence. Raven let out sigh before speaking. "It doesn't matter." She answers. "Besides, we don't want to get sidetrack talking about pointless subjects."

"I agree!" Said Chrysalis, getting everyones attention. She is sitting by the window next to Spike who just hovered next to her. Both were watching and listening to everything being said. "Let's not waste time here, Raven, let's just get to part that proves that the once evil trio are not, this brat killers."

Spike glares at Chrysalis. "How could you say that with a straight face, when you clearly did kill me. The three of you even confess, when you pleaded guilty, no contest."

Chrysalis scoff. "A complete oversight, nothing more. And thanks to my attorney, here. I can proudly retract my previous plea and can now say, that I am NOT guilty, no contest."

Tirek nodded. "I to plea, not guilty, no contest. You can blame us all you want for our past crimes."

"But you can't blame us for a crime we didn't commit." Chrysalis finished.

Raven adjusted her glasses. "And of course, I have evidence to prove their innocence, and I think it's best to deal with this here and now, so you fools can stop blaming them for Spike's death."

"And what proof could you possibly have?" Smolder asked.

Raven simply smiled as she lit her horn, making a memory screen appear. "As I said earlier, during my investigation, I spoke with Twilight, of course, and she shared her memories with me of that fateful day. So, let's watch and see who's really responsible for Spike's death." With that said, Raven lit her horn to play the memory, and every creature sat and watch.

Chrysalis chuckles. "I wish I had some popcorn." *POOF* out of thin air, a bag of popcorn appeared in Chrysalis hooves. Curtesy of one glasses wearing unicorn, who was also enjoying her own popcorn, along with Tirek. Chrysalis simply smiled at Raven, as she too started eating her snack.

(Twilight's Memories, Spike's Sacrifice)

Spike was in unimaginable pain as he felt his wings about to be dislocated from their sockets, but he put that aside. He knew that Equestria’s fate was worth far more than his wellbeing.

“Don’t worry about me! Just save Equestria! Just remember that I love all of - Argh!” The purple dragon was abruptly cut off by another jolt of pain.

Spike mustered up the energy to open one of his eyes just a little bit, only to find his six harem members standing down. He then felt himself being thrown toward his friends; the wind felt cool as he flew through the air. The feeling of falling was quickly replaced with a pair of hooves surrounding his small body as his friends all formed a protective huddle around Twilight.

“Turns out that the magic of Friendship proves to be your greatest weakness,” Tirek taunted. “A fitting end to your pathetic story.”

The villains grinned wickedly as they charged up their magic and prepared to finally rid themselves of their burdens once and for all. In that moment, Tirek’s final seven words hit home as the group of girls realized just how much trouble they were in. Spike suddenly felt all his pain vanish as he looked up and saw his marefriends’ horrified faces.

"I'm so sorry, girls. I'm so sorry, Spikey," Twilight whimpered. "I don't think we'll be making it out of this one."

The adrenaline raced through Spike's body at lightning speeds, and everything slowed down when he heard Twilight say that. He knew that his lovers needed to be saved and he was the only one to do it. Without another moment to spare, he broke free of Twilight’s grasp and flew as fast as he could towards the object that nearly cost him the use of his wings.

Twilight was shocked at what she saw, her friend turned lover was flying toward the monsters at breakneck speeds and had successfully nabbed the bell from their grasp.

The next few seconds were a blur to Spike. One second, he was on the ground. The next, he was in the air, nabbing the enchanted bell from the monsters’ grasp. His adrenaline levels were through the roof. Never in his life had he ever felt more determined on a mission to save his friends turned lovers. If he was in pain before, he sure didn’t show it now. His wings, however, weren’t as mobile as before, no doubt in Spike’s mind that they were likely broken due to the severe abuse they received no more than one minute ago. The villains were furious.

“Give that back, you repulsive, little brat!” Chrysalis spat as she prepared to zap Spike.

Out of pure instinct, Spike stuck Grogar’s bell out in front of him, and the green jolt of magic hit it. Somehow, the bell absorbed the magic blast, which avoided further injury to Spike. Spike looked at the bell and noticed It was lined with cracks and faintly glowing a moderate shade of green. He had no doubt in his mind that Chrysalis’ magic had damaged it. He then quickly laid out a plan in his mind to defeat them. For this to work, he’d need to trick them into zapping the bell several times to overload it with magic and then fly it toward them at the last second before the enchanted object exploded. He already figured it would likely kill him too, but for Equestria it was worth it.

“You want this bell so bad?” Spike taunted from above. “Then come and get it.”

Cozy Glow growled. “Challenge accepted, lizard.”

The evil Pegasus turned Alicorn flew after the pre-teen dragon and fired another magic blast at him. Spike once again stuck the bell out and blocked it. It looked more cracked and was glowing a bit brighter.

“Spike! What are you doing?! You’re going to get hurt!” Rainbow Dash yelled.

“Don’t worry about my safety, Rainbow! Just get out of here. All of you!” Spike called back as the third blast of magic hit the bell and made it glow even brighter.

Spike’s adrenaline was starting to wear off and he began to feel the pain in his wings return as the fourth blast of magic hit the bell. It was now badly damaged with cracks much larger lining the surface of the enchanted object, it was now glowing a very vibrant shade of green, and it was giving off a low hum.

“One more blast should do it,” Spike said, his adrenaline and newfound strength gradually waning.

The little dragon's eyes seeked out his targets like two green missiles until they finally fell upon them after no more than two seconds of looking. He flew toward the fiends with all the strength he had. This was it. This was the climax of the plan; destroy the bell and render Cozy Glow, Chrysalis, and Tirek useless. Everything seemed to slow down even further for Spike as his vision narrowed down to the three beings that he zeroed toward.

***

Less than 50 feet away, Twilight and her friends watched the scene with horror. They had easily put two and two together and knew Spike was trying to sacrifice himself to save them and Equestria. They immediately huddled together.

“We can’t leave him,” Applejack said. “He can’t lose his life because he’s trying to save us. He's got so much to look forward to his life, more than just with us.”

“Agreed,” said Rarity. “We can’t leave Spikey-Wikey to die at the hands of these monsters.”

"C'mon," Rainbow Dash said. "Let's get a plan together and save-"

Before Rainbow Dash could say anything more, her friends and she heard an ear-splitting explosion. They turned around only to find a huge, white beam of light shoot towards the sky. All six ponies felt their hearts sink and fresh tears welled up in their eyes as they knew full well that they were too late to save their lover. Their hearts simultaneously shattered inside them. The sound was almost audible to the outside world.

***

As Spike sped towards his targets, Cozy, Tirek, and Chrysalis powered up another blast of magic each. This time, instead of firing individually, they unleashed their blasts all at once. The three separate blasts quickly connected with one another, and it formed the biggest blast of magic that the three evil doers had ever seen in their lives as it raced toward the teenage reptile. Right as the blasts connected, Spike stuck out Grogar’s bell once more, and the villains instantly realized that they had screwed up. The blast hit the bell, it detonated, and was blown to smithereens and enveloped all four of them in a huge surge of magic.

Spike felt all his strength and adrenaline finally fade away as the bell exploded, and it enveloped him in its overloaded magic surge. The bright, white light was too much for Spike's eyes to handle and he shut them tightly and gritted his teeth. Whatever pain he had felt before was nothing compared to what he felt now. Fragments of the bell lodged deep into the crevices that divided his Lavender scales. Other parts of his body had their scales ripped off like paper by much larger fragments, lining his under-scales with deep cuts. The surge of magic tore throughout his immune system and internal organs. The skin and muscle tissue on his wings was charred instantly and began to slowly flake away. Revealing his cracked and slowly crumbling wing bones, which were also losing pieces fast. He began to feel an extremely awful burning sensation on every centimeter of his small torso. The adolescent had lost the ability to smell and taste due to his sinuses being fried almost instantly and his ears rang loudly. He hit the ground on his back with a small thud. The second Spike did hit the ground, his already badly cracked wing bones finally shattered to pieces, and it sent another enormous rush of pain through his destroyed nerves. However, every bit of pain he felt reminded him of his heroic deed.

***

Twilight and the girls could only show horror as the giant, white beam gradually faded away. All was eerily quiet afterward. With the bell destroyed, the villains had lost their powers and now lay unconscious on the ground. Cozy Glow had turned back into a Pegasus, Queen Chrysalis was stripped of her enchanted body armor and head crest and her teal mane was singed at the end, and Tirek’s rejuvenated state had vanished. He was now the old, frail Centaur that Twilight and her friends had run into in Tartarus. The ponies didn’t care about what the state their assailants were in, they wanted to find Spike and see, if by some miracle, if he was still alive.

They soon found him lying on his back near where the center of the magic blast had erupted. The tears that had been welling up in their eyes now slowly oozed down their faces and it took all their strength not to throw up when they saw their terminally wounded drakefriend. The lavender dragon was impaled by several shards on the bell, with red blood already seeping out of the many cuts that lined his body, the entire front of his abdomen was dark grey and smoking, and he was barely breathing. Pieces of his outer scales, small bits of scorched, smoking tissue, and shriveled up, blackened flakes of skin which used to be on his wings that had been ripped off by the shards of the destroyed bell now lay scattered around him. Large pieces of bones that were once the structure of his new wings also joined the pile of debris that consisted of pieces of Spike's body and Grogar's Bell.

The group of ponies felt like the ground beneath their hooves grow very wet. They looked down and instantly froze as their breath hitched their throats upon seeing the grass and dirt that lay beneath Spike beginning to grow saturated and bearing a reddish tint from the increasing amount of blood that was slowly seeping out of Spike’s mangled body. They wanted to move out to it, but couldn't bring themselves to do that as that would mean leaving their little lover to suffer alone. The pool of red only grew wider and wider as each agonizing second passed.

Spike felt a drop of water hit his forehead as sniffles and whimpers began to replace the harsh ringing inside his ears. He reopened his eyes just a crack and saw the girls he loved more than anything looking down at him, not a single eye was dry on the six ponies as they looked down on their sweetheart. Spike wanted nothing more than to get up and wrap them in a hug, but his injuries were preventing even the slightest movements. It was nothing short of a miracle that he was still alive, but Spike knew it wouldn’t be that way for long.

“Girls,” Spike croaked before coughing up thick, dark, red blood.

Twilight and the others almost lost composure when they heard how terrible their other half spoke. in addition to how he looked. They all knelt down beside his body as Spike grew weaker.

“We're here, honey. You're going to be okay now,” Twilight managed to say between cries. "We all love you, Spike. Please, you're not in any more danger. Don't quit now."

Spike felt sorry listening to Twilight's optimism. He knew that no matter how much she hoped or tried, she couldn't make him better.

“If only that were the case. It looks like this is the end of the line for me,” Spike wheezed, sounding even worse than before. “I had a good run with you girls. Thanks for helping me experience love at such a young age.”

Twilight felt her whole world crumbling around her. Her best friend that had been with her since the beginning and who had managed to capture not just her heart, but the heart of eleven other girls, was on the ground, moribund and accepting his fate. Her friends, as much as they hated to do so, realized that this was the end of their Spike that had saved them all from certain death and Equestria from certain defeat. They all cried silently at the fact. Twilight, however, didn't seem to be on the same boat as they were.

“Spike, don't talk like that! You're going to be fine! Please just stay awake and hang on! Don’t go,” Twilight pleaded as she finally broke down in a fit of sobs. “I can’t lose you, please! You can't die! Not this young!"

The other five element bearers could only watch through their tears as Twilight repeatedly begged for Spike to stay awake, before she turned her attention towards the sky as if to beseech anyone up that was up there to keep Spike alive.

"Please, Celestia. Don't take him. He's just 16! I'm begging you! Please let him live through this!!” Twilight cried looking up at the sky with fresh tears still in her eyes.

Seeing Twilight, as well as her friends, like this made Spike feel worse than all his injuries combined. He knew he had one shot to hopefully provide them with some type of consolation to ease their grief about his passing.

“Twilight, there's nothing you can do. We both know I won't make it, but it's okay. I don't care about my safety,” Spike rasped as he coughed up more blood. “As long as I know that Equestria is safe, more importantly, as long I know that you’re all safe, there's nothing more I'd want to know in my last moments than that. Listen, please don't be angry at Discord for this. He never intended this to happen.”

Spike felt his vision start to go blurry. He knew he had a few seconds left to croak out one last thing to them all.

“Listen,” the dying dragon choked out. “Please, promise me one last thing before I go.”

“What is it?” Rarity asked through her tears.

Spike found it harder and harder to speak as the last few seconds of his short life passed. It was becoming more of a challenge to even breathe, he felt a numbing sensation starting to move up his body, and fatigue was starting to slowly overwhelm the tiny being.

" Please make sure Smolder...*gasp*...the Crusaders...*cough*...Starlight...*cough*...and Gabby...*gasp*...know that...*wheeze*...I love them,” Spike wheezed out, his message barely audible to the ponies around him.

No sooner did he say his last word, then did the numbness finally spread all the way up his body. His eyes slowly fluttered shut as his last breath left his nose. He did it, he had saved Equestria and his lovers and friends were out of harm’s way. He was now at peace as the last of his senses faded away. According to Spike, he couldn’t have asked for it to turn out a better way. He was disappointed that he could no longer have a future with his harem, but, at the same time, was happy that they were safe.

The Element Bearers, however, didn’t seem to share Spike optimism. They all began to bawl uncontrollably as their drakefriend finally passed on.

During the memory, all of Spike's friends and lovers (except Raven) couldn't help but shed tears while watching.

Everyone was affected in different ways. The Mane 6 had to relive Spike's final moments which despite the young Drake being there with them now. It still hurts seeing how they lost him all over again. As for the rest of Spike's harem, (except Raven) who wasn't there in Spike's final moments felt just a bit worse. Yes, they were told by the Mane 6, how Spike loved them, but seeing it, hit them real hard.

But not as bad as it did for Discord.

It was bad enough seeing Spike's corpse the day he died but seeing how Spike died, made the heavy guilt he had once shouldered return with a vengeance. He was angry at himself for even coming up with that plan in the first place, let alone going through with it. His only saving grace keeping him from falling into another pit of despair, was hearing firsthand how Spike forgave him in the end and that was enough keep him up.

With no need to show the rest. Raven stopped the memory when Spike died and made the screen disappear. The mood in the room was somber as everyone was crying even Spike, who felt awful for having to leave his loved one behind like that.

The only ones who didn't shed a single tear was Raven, Tirek, and of course-

"HAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!"

-Chrysalis. The ex-queen was laughing hysterically. Hugging herself, while kicking wildly with her hind legs. She was laughing so hard; tears fell from her eyes. At the time, she was Kò'd after the bell exploded. So, she only heard how Spike died from his friends, but seeing it in action. How could she not laugh at that. It was just too damn funny and so Chrysalis laugh and laugh and laugh.

The group of friends glared angrily and at the ex-queen, even Spike couldn't hold back how mad he is, as he hovered there besides the laughing changeling.

By this point, no one is surprised to see Chrysalis showing off just how heartless she is. Treating the sad tragedy of Spike's death as if it was a comedy. A dark comedy, but a comedy no less.

Seeing Chrysalis laughing at what was the saddest moment of her life filled Smolder with pure absolute rage. She was going give that bug a piece of her mind...... Again. But before she could utter a single word. Somebody else beat her to it.

"JUST WHAT THE HELL DO YOU THINK YOU'RE LAUGHING AT?"

Everyone was taken aback by Starlight's sudden outburst, though they weren't all that surprise.

While wiping the tears from her eyes, Chrysalis stops laughing, so she can speak. "What the hell do you think I'm laughing at?" She retorted. "You fools only told me how he died, and nothing more, and even though that was funny in its own right, seeing it along with all the extra bits was downright fucking hilarious." Chrysalis laugh a little more before continuing. "I mean seriously, who could not laugh at that pathetic excuse of heroics." Turns her attention towards her defense attorney. "You were right, Raven. This idiot sacrifice was absolutely meaningless."

Tirek shook his head. "Pointless!"

Raven shrugs. "I prefer unnecessary, but it's all the same either way." She said nonchalantly.

Now Starlight was even more piss off. As she walked over to stand before Raven. "Just what the hell is your problem, Inkwell?"

Raven raised a questionable eyebrow. "What do you mean?"

"I mean, why are you going against Spike like this. I thought you loved him, just like the rest of us in his herd. Yet here you are siding with his KILLERS, and you don't even look at all bothered after watching his death or hearing that evil bitch make fun of it. Not only that but you're actually agreeing with those two about Spike's sacrifice being pointless?"

"Unnecessary!"

"I DON'T GIVE A FLYING FUCK, HOW YOU WANT TO WORD IT! My point is that you are nothing but a traitor to Spike."

That hit a mark. "A traitor!?" Raven questioned. "I'm no traitor, I'm the only one here trying to take down the monster who started this mess."

"DISCORD IS NOT A MONSTER!" Yelled Fluttershy. "Yes, he did what he did, there's no excusing that. But he'd been working hard to make up for it! I proved that to you back at the meeting, when I showed you the blueprints to the Spike Museum, that he himself drew up."

"I SOONER USE THOSE BLUEPRINTS TO WIPE MY OWN ASS, BEFORE GIVING THEM TO A CONSTRUCTION WORKER." Raven bellowed. "The very idea of building a museum dedicated to someone who unnecessarily sacrifice their own life is nothing but an absolute mockery to everyone who goes there to learn about their supposed savior."

"That's not true!" Said Fluttershy

Chrysalis chuckled. "Oh, but it is! Remember what my attorney said about how incompetent you all are at dealing with situations that requires a little more thought than just taking it at face value?"

Tirek spoke. "And to never take something you see or hear out of context and gather all the facts before assuming anything."

Chrysalis continues. "Not to mention that you all have a long history of being incredibly dense. Always making the same mistake, over and over again, by not analyzing a situation thoroughly, you just instead go in via tunnel vision. Never broadening your horizons and check every possible solution and figure out exactly which out of the multiple different paths is the right one...... Ever heard of the phrase Let's talk about the elephant in the room? Well you idiots would always flat out ignore that animal entirely. There could be one in this very room right now and you wouldn't notice it and that's your problem. You don't bother to try and notice these things, you don't bother to ask questions, you don't bother to actually use those things you call a brain, when it really counts."

Raven speaks. "To be fair, you each do have your moments here and there. But they are few and far between. Like how Twilight used great detective skills, to figure out who took bites out of MMMM!"

Tirek continues. "But couldn't even tell that the dragon, she knew since his birth was the one sending her and her friends those letters and gifts. He was literally wearing the worse disguise ever that doesn't even try to hide his key features and you want me to believe that someone who lived with him, her whole life, along with those who knew him for a good chunk of theirs, COULDN'T EVEN RECOGNIZE HIM AT ALL! Just how much of your brain cells did you have to shut down for that to even work?"

"Apparently a lot." Said Raven. "Even the citizens of Ponyville guess that it was Spike when I showed them the picture of him in that disguise of his, hell, Luna knew that it was him when I showed her, and she clearly met Spike the least out of all of you."

"ALL RIGHT, FINE!" Rainbow yelled. "You proved your fucking point. I can't deny that we somehow didn't know that Spike was our secret admirer when clues were so obvious. I can't deny that Rarity, Fluttershy, and I should've been patient instead of deciding to sneak a bite of that cake." Rainbow shakes her head. "I can't deny that we no doubt made many of the same kind of mistakes throughout the years, but hey nobody perfect. We even sang a song once admitting that we're not flawless." Rainbow glares at, Raven. "But despite all that, there's absolutely no way that you can prove that Spike's death wasn't anything else but a straight up murder."

"She's right!" Said Smolder. "We all saw what happened thanks to you and it was clear as day that the trio killed Spike..... You keep saying that his death wasn't a murder, so if it isn't, then what was it exactly?"

"Suicide!" Raven said nonchalantly.

Everyone in the group, jaws dropped after hearing Raven's answer. The room was silent at first, until Chrysalis started laughing again. She stop the second everyone yelled.

"SUICIDE!!!"

"You're trying to say, that Spike committed fucking, SUICIDE?" Said Smolder.

"Basically, yes!" Said Raven, as she adjusted her glasses. "As we keep trying to tell you all his death wasn't a murder."

"And it sure wasn't a heroic sacrifice, neither!" Tirek added.

"So, that leaves only one conclusion." Chrysalis points at Spike. "This damn idiot killed himself and to make it even better, he did it for no good reason." Chrysalis once again started laughing hysterically, as Spike just hovered there with a blank expression, trying to process what he just heard. Both his thought process and Chrysalis laughing were interrupted by large *BANG* on the glass window and along with Smolder screaming-

"I'm so sick of hearing you, shit talk my drake," Smolder turns her attention towards Raven. "And you," she pointed. "You're far worse than her. How can someone who claims they love, Spike, talk just as much shit about him and his friends as this evil bitch. "

Raven sighed. "Well excuse me, but I thought honesty was a big part of the magic of friendship."

"HONESTY! You call talking down on us at every giving turn, honesty?"

"Yes! You all are just plain ignorant and dense, and you have proven it time and time again. You're far too trusting, which is why you all can be easily fooled by others, even when they pulled these tricks on you before."

Fluttershy speaks. "You're talking about all the times, Discord trick us before, aren't you? Though that may be true, he learned his lesson after what happened to, Spike."

"I wasn't talking about, Discord!" Raven thought. "Rather he did, or he didn't. It doesn't change the fact you guys haven't learned your lesson at all and it's high time you fools get another crash course in both truth and reality, and what better way to do that, than for her to prove to you why Spike's Sacrifice, was completely unnecessary."

Everyone in the room looked at Raven confusingly, including Chrysalis.

"The hell do you mean by her?" Smolder asked.

"She's referring to me!"

Everyone turned their attention to where the voice was coming from.

Standing right there in the doorway of the main room was an earth pony mare with a light-dull purple colored coat, blonde mane, and wearing dark purple glasses.

"Who are you and what business do you have here?" Luna asked.

The mare adjusted her glasses.

"Grace Manewitz, your highness and I'm here to aid my sister in defending our clients, Tirek and Chrysalis, as well to make sure that Discord actually pays for his crimes."

To be continued.
