The sky darkened over the clouds of the universe known as Crystalan, where a purple wall covered two story home, with a magenta stone roof, and two round windows.

A grey pegasus stood proud, with a brown curled mane and pink highlights, along with a lion tail with a brown fluff. With a black sweater and pink necklace around her neck.

She was clearly watching something, or someone. That someone being a young mare, a hybrid kid with a wolf tail and white bat wings to match with her white coat color, She had a grey short mane. But was still clearly a child, a teen if you will.

“Look Momma!” The kid cheered, hanging upside down from a tree, like a bat, her mane flopping down. “Im doing it!”

“Nice work Moony!” Another younger voice cheered. A red colt with a orange and yellow mane cheered, his horn peppering out. Happily looking over at the grey pegasus mare with a smile.

“She’s doing great Mom!” Another much younger voice giggled, standing on top of the red colts head.

“Sybil, get off of me!” The red unicorn colt angrily sputtered annoyed.

Sybil, the young grey earth pony with the same mane color as Moonlight, who was still hanging from the branch. But was slightly taller, shook her head.

“Be nice you two!” Blackstar, the grey pegasus pulled the two into a hug, with her wings.

“Mom!” Fire, the young red unicorn colt, sputtered annoyed. “She started it!”

Blackstar smiled, rolling her eyes, looking back up at where Moonlight was, whom in question, quickly got off the branch and ran to Blackstar, joining the group in the hug.

“Mom I think you can let us GoHOHOHO!” Sybil was about to speak, but her sentence was immediately cut off by her mothers wing moving across her stomach. Which made her burst into hysterical laughter.

“Aw it’s okay! We can get her back later!” Fire reminded his sibling.

“And I’ll come back twice as hard!” Blackstar smiled, moving her other wing to the colts side, enjoying the squeak that came out of his mouth.

“Nohoho!” Fire giggled.

“Karmas a bitch buddy!” Moonlight smiled smacking Fire’s back leg.

“Watch your mouth, cheeky.” Blackstar giggled. Placing her right hoof, which was a purple claw, and not a normal hoof, right onto the base of Moonlight’s bat wing and scribbled across.

“Ahahahaha! Nohoho!” Moonlight chuckled.

After a few minutes, Blackstar and her family headed in for the night. Blackstar putting her kids, in their beds, as the wooden wallpaper and carpet floor of their bedroom stood tall.

“Night children!” Blackstar sweetly called out.

“Night mom!” The three called back, as Blackstar closed the door, leaving it cracked open in case they needed her.

Blackstar walked into her own bedroom, with purple walls and pink carpet floors, her bed, being a cloud bed with purple blankets. And white pillows. While a writing desk and laptop stood, as a few pictures stood. Blackstar closed the door and walked over to the desk, taking off her black sweater, wearing a white tank top. And removed her pink necklace from her neck. Placing them both down on her desk and chair. Looking over at one of the pictures carefully and grabbing it.

The picture in question, consisted of herself and a black shadow stallion unicorn, with demon horns atop of his head and long black demon wings. His mane and tail being shaggy with red eyes glowing a tiny bit.

“Shadow…” Blackstar said sighing. “I’m sorry I can’t see you, my love.” She placed the picture down on her desk. And sadly walked to her bed, laying down, her eyes fluttered before closing completely.

Blackstar woke up groggily, yawning a bit and looking over to the clock on her nightstand, she silently was going to go check on her kids to make sure they weren’t up and rooming around the home.

However, when she got up and began moving, she felt a sudden pain in her right hoof.

Blackstar placed her hooves on her desk, purple claws digging through the desk, leaving a marking through the wood. The dark purple skin rose up, spreading like a virus.

Blackstar stared in shock in horror, as a glint sparkle of crimson red, sparkled where her green eyes once were, she shook her head violently, only to stumble onto the floor. It didn’t stop no matter how much she tried to fight against this. Even if she did, it just hurt more.

Blackstar let out a grunt of pain, lifting up her wings, only for them to hurt as well, for a few seconds, she froze, as the same red eyes flashed, but having a purple tint in her iris. Screaming as loud as possible, feeling her pain increasing.

“How is this…happening….?” She thought lifting her head up, the rest trailing off her mind. Then, fur lifted up to the side of her head, as fluffiness began showing in her ears, and she began feeling leather on sides, her wings flapping rapidly.

Her light brown hair, drifted over onto her face, the virus like curse drifted onto her neck, purple like veins spreading across her neck, up to her cheeks. Then a husky whisper, a voice if you will, echoed within her mind.

Concerned voices began speaking behind the hybrid. Blackstar turned around, her back towards the door.

“Hey mom?” Moonlight asked, placing her hoof on the doorframe, as Sybil stood by her, while Fire sat on top of Moonlight’s back. “Are you okay?”

“We heard a scream and wanted to check up on you?” Fire spoke up.

“You in here Mom?” Sybil asked, poking her head in.

“Blackstar?” Moonlight asked, looking in, before stepping forward, into the room, giving Fire a good look as to what’s going on, before Moonlight stepped back, her wings tensing up and closing to her sides, a scared look on her face. She handed Sybil, Fire, the three of them having a terrifying expression.

“Mom…?” Moonlight asked, in a small terrifying voice.

The shadow over the grey pegasus rose, her eyes were closed for a few seconds, before they opened with her previous white conjunctiva replaced with purple, her iris being replaced with crimson red, her pupils were sharp, almost like what bat eyes look like, as purple smoke began trickling on her eyes.

Suddenly Blackstar turned.

Turned on the trio.

“Come here KIDS!!!” Blackstar screeched, a smile appearing on her face, fangs showing.

The sharp purple claw, outstretched, preparing to kill. Sybil and Fire were pushed back, Fire holding on to Sybil tightly.

“MOM!!!” Moonlight screamed in fear, jumping in the way of Sybil and Fire, pushing the two back, before stepping back…not quickly enough.

The sharp claws, ripping through Moonlight’s night shirt, digging into flesh, right near her chest. Moonlight recoiled back, Sybil immediately concerned and held her up, making sure she didn’t fall.

This isn’t her mom…but a monster out of her control…

“Sybil! Come on!” Moonlight called, through shaky hollow breaths, Moonlight slid down the hallway, hitting the wall. She could hear Sybil hooves slipping, but quickly recovered from the near fatal mistake, Fire holding on tightly to his older sibling back. Making sure he doesn’t fall as well.

Sybil and Moonlight ran, there hooves killing them. As Fire looked back, to spot for his siblings.

Blackstar slid through as well, bat leathery wings out stretched. Her eyes glowing in the dimly lit hallway. Chasing the trio, like a wild animal ready to attack.

Moonlight contuined running, her heart beating quicker, as she was in a state of panic. Why was her mom attacking her? She didn’t have a full answer. All the memories they had together, being blurred by the mental image of the creepy smile. She didn’t snap out of her trance until-

“Moon!” Sybil called to late, as Moonlight stopped tripping over her own hooves. Sybil and Fire tripping as well, Fire slipping off of Sybil and landing on his back with a thud, the two falling behind Moonlight. They had reached, a dead end.

Before Moonlight had a chance to ask if they were okay. She was pinned down, a purple claw around her neck, grasping it, the claws digging into Moonlights neck. Sybil immediately saw this, and was about to jump in and get her mom off of her own kid. Well it wasn’t her mom anymore but she didn’t care.

“Moonlight no!” Sybil called, nearly jumping in, if it wasn’t for Fire holding her back with his magic, holding Sybil’s tail in a red aura.

“Let her go you-you BEAST!!!” Sybil yelled out in rage. Fire trying to hold the earth pony the best he can. “LET HER GO!!!”

“Sis, Calm down!!!” Fire called out, still holding her back. Sybil growling in rage, attempting to escape from her brother’s hold.

“Blackstar…” Moonlight choked, attempting to pry the purple clawed hoof, but to no avail. Blackstar’s fangs showed as she smiled, lifting up her other claw. Ready for a final blow.

Suddenly she stopped, staring down into Moonlight’s terrified face. Blackstar’s creepy smile lowered. Her grip on Moonlight’s neck softened, as Moonlight choked for air.

The veins melted slowly down until they reached her hooves, both front hooves still were covered in purple. The fur decreasing a bit, some fluff were on the back of her ears but quickly turned back to normal, the smoke on her eyes fading away, retreating like the rest of the virus. Finally after what felt like forever, Blackstar’s eyes returned to a dark green.

Blackstar quickly got off of Moonlight, looking up and down at her and Sybil who Fire had released from his magic, whom both looked very confused. Well except for Sybil, who had a very angry glare.

“Mom…?” Moonlight asked, as Blackstar attention immediately went to her, she was completely terrified. She looked down at her purple hooves, her clawed one having bits of blood, then looked over at Moonlight’s chest, who had a scar on it. She was horrified, like the face of someone who just did something horrible.

“Kids…?” Blackstar whispered, voice still shaking. “W-what did I do?”

“What did you do?…” A very angry voice said. “What did you do.”

Before Moonlight had a chance to explain and calm her mother down, Blackstar proceed to get pinned onto the wall. As a very angry Sybil stared up at her, one hoof on her mothers chest.

“Oh I tell ya what ya did.” Sybil said through gritted teeth and growls. “You nearly killed us!”

“I….what?” Blackstar muttered, clearly confused.

Sybil prooced to punch Blackstar in the face, whom landed on the floor with a thud. Fire grabbed Sybil, holding her tightly while Sybil contuied to rant angrily.

“You chased us through the hallway!!!” She ranted, struggling to get out of her brothers grasp. “YOU NEARLY KILLED MOONLIGHT!!!!” She sputtered.

Blackstar looked up, taking her child’s words, it was breaking her heart.

“And the worst part is…” Sybil said. “You said you wouldn’t hurt ANYONE!!!” She escaped from her brothers grasp and walked towards her mother. “YOU HURT ALL OFF US!!!”

“Moon I-“ Blackstar whimpered, before getting another punch to the face by Sybil.

“If you can’t control yourself then…” Sybil said, glaring over. Then stated something that Blackstar never thought she would hear.

“THEN DONT TALK TO US UNTIL YOU DO!!! THIS IS ALL YOUR FAULT!!!” Sybil sighed, as Blackstar got up, and just stood there, taking her child’s words to heart.

Sybil immediately realized what she said.

“Mom I-“ Sybil was going to say something before receiving a slap to the back of her head from Fire. She deserves it anyway.

Moonlight turned and looked over at her mother. She was going to walk over and ask. When Moonlight heard sobbing. Coming from Blackstar.

“I…I’m so sorry…” Blackstar weeped. “I didn’t know…t…that could happen…I-“

“Stop.” Moonlight stated. And put a hoof to her mothers cheek wiping her tears.

Blackstar sighed, and pressed her claws into her face. Before laying down out of embarrassment, she just cried in front of her own children. She was gonna not say anything, when she felt something tingling on her side.

“Pfft- hehey!” Blackstar giggled sqirming a bit and looked up. Moonlight scribbled across the base of her wings, with her bat wings. As Sybil and Fire attacked her other side. Fire going on top of Blackstar and scribbling across her neck. While Sybil nuzzled her sides.

“Don’t worry.” Moonlight smiled. “We’re just trying to help.”

“Mohohohon!” Blackstar laughed.

“Hm?”

“Stopopop itit!!”

“Nah!”

Blackstar giggled as Fire began tickling her back hooves.

“Ah! AHAHAHA!!!” Blackstar squeaked, flapping her wings a tiny bit. But not enough to poke any of them in the eye.

“GUHUHUYS DOHOHONT!!!” She cried out. As the three kids stopped, Blackstar continued giggling, as the sensations were still poking her.

Once Blackstar calmed down, she quickly sat up.

“Thanks…I needed that…” She giggled. As her kids nodded. “So erm…what you guys saw….” She hesitated. As her kids sat down. Waiting for her to speak.

“It was a curse I got when I became a hybrid.” Blackstar finally spoke, pulling her wings subconsciously to herself. “I didn’t think it would get that bad.”

Moonlight smiled. “It wasn’t you’re fault…” She stated softly, trailing a claw through her wings. Smiling at the giggles and small lil squeaks that came out of her mouth. “You couldn’t control it…”

Blackstar sighed. “I appreciate it…but…I think I’m gonna go lay down now….” She got up and walked to her room. Her head down a bit.

“I’m gonna go talk to her.” Moonlight smiled and turned to her siblings. “You guys head to your room. Maybe get patched up.” The siblings agreed and split up.

“The first thing you do when you get up is torture your family! Great job Shine! Now they FUCKING hate you!!!”

A smash of glass echoed through Blackstar’s room, causing Moonlight, who was patched up, with a bandage on her chest, to flinch.

Moonlight quietly opened Blackstar’s door, looking down at the floor, noticing a smashed picture of her and her siblings, glass on the floor, broken.

“Hey…mom…” She stated, looking up. It made her heart break a bit.

Blackstar sat on her bed, Fangs showing and her ears were fluffed up again. She was still in a tank top, but her wings stuck through two holes on the side. Claws were on her front hooves. And her back hooves represted paws now. Blackstar looked up at Moonlight a saddened expression on her face, as Moonlight closed the door and walked over.

“What do you want?” Blackstar stated sadly to her, in a voice that wasn’t like her own, it had more of a growled type tone. She wasn’t angry but she was annoyed at herself.

“Mom…” Moonlight smiled and walked over. “I’m gonna try and help you.”
