After much waiting here the second story of HCC explaining the Rivalry of Spade and Rarity

It was another night in Canterlot City as CPD was on the scene.

“Third high rise this week, all with the same MO,” Greg said to Spitfire.

“No prints, no forced entry, no physical evidence of any kind.”

“We can’t rule the Rainbooms if any of them were burglars,” Spitfire said.

Both detectives left the scene and Cyber Witch and Ice Breaker walked through the window.

“Alright now that cops are gone, let’s see if they have any clues to these robberies,” Cyber Witch said then turned on her mask’s flashlight and found something. “Well, what do we have here…”

Cyber Witch took a photo of it.

“Say I found something rather strange,” Ice Breaker found a feather and then heard footsteps. “Do you hear that?”

“Yeah,” Cyber Witch replied. “The cops let’s go.”

Both walked out of the apartment before the police.

Later at the Rainboom Lair.

“So what is it?” Rarity asked while Twilight check it out.

“It appears to strictly nebulosa laponica, a rare species of owl native to China,” Twilight explained. “According to the Rainboom search function, these scratches from the victim’s table match the owl’s talon span. Which means…”

“Someone had trained a bird to perform burglaries,” Rarity finished the thought. “Oh good heavens, I just remembered something, Trevor and Tyler are hosting a gala fundraiser and all of us need to be there.”

“Isn’t that tomorrow night?”

“It is ‘tomorrow night’.”

Later

“Do we really have to do this?” Applejack asked.

“Yes,” Rarity replied. “We wouldn’t any guests growing suspicious of how most spend our night.”

“Well be a monkey’s uncle,” a man exclaimed. “Rarity , how are you this fine evening?”

“Have we met?” Rarity asked.

“Shaw. Jonah Shaw, of the new Casual Shaws, but you call me Jonny and must say you look a princess.”

“Thank you, but I never heard-“

“I’ve been abroad. Just got back of from the tour of the orient.”

“I see.”

“Nice seeing you, I hope we can meet each other again… ooh appetizers,” Jonah went for the snack bar.

“That guy is weird, weirder than Pinkie,” Applejack said. “I never heard of them.”

“Well I did heard of the Shaws,” Trevor said as walked to them. “My both my uncle and aunt worked for them back in England and very obnoxious bunch as well. They worked themselves to the bone for wretched snobs and treated them like dogs then have the absolute nerve to fire them!”

“Let’s just hope that he not like them,” Applejack said.

“Trust me, AJ, once a Shaw always a Shaw.”

With Rainbow and Sunset

“You know, trespassing’s against the law,” Rainbow said as both of them walked to Greg’s car.

“Busted,” Greg exclaimed.

“Greg. I see you brought a guest.”

“My partner.”

“Hi, Name’s Rainbow and this Sunset.”

“Detective Spitfire.”

“If not any trouble, you can join the party.”

“Not tonight, we’re on the clock.”

“Cheif’s orders. Keeping an eye on high-profile events with that strings of robberies and all.”

“Aah!” A woman screams caught the group's attention.

“Are you okay?” Sunset asked her.

“A bird attack me.”

“Freaky. When I was a kid, a seagull snagged my sandwich.”

“I’m sure it just thought your rubies were berries.”

Hours later, everyone was cleaning up.

“The odd thing is, I was certain, I’d heard of the Shaw Fortune had been lost for decades,” Trevor said holding Shaw’s donation. “They had to leave England to avoid shame.”

“I’m sure that they found some luck along the way, bro,” Tyler came to his side. “But we have a board meeting in the morning and don’t dream about them in your sleep and what about you ladies?”

“We have some bird-watching to do,” Pinkie said as she and others entered the lair.

Tornado was flying through the city and sees birds carrying jewels.

“Time for bird control,” Tornado exclaimed as flew after them and straight to a limousine with his kimmo girls. “One of Shaw’s girls.”

“So where it’s twin?”

The second one came down and kicked her to the ground and both drop the clothing and revealed to razor sharp claws.

“Whoa,” Tornado exclaimed as one them came right at her but dodges it and then a spin kick at her not before the other one kicks her into a wall.

“Great. Double Trouble.”

Before anyone can do anything, both of them were shocked, Sparkplug came down.

"Thanks, Sparks," Torando thanked her.

"Now let's kick their butts," Sparkplug exclaimed then both got in the car and left. "Party poopers."

"Hey, Sparkplug. Tornado, head back to the lair," Vine came through on their through on comms. "Cyber Witch had a breakthrough."

"High-rise jewels thefts baffle the police," Twilight read the newspaper in the Chinese article to the others. "Dozens of similar crimes across Asia when suddenly stopped last week."

"So?" Rainbow asked.

"Then stopped in China, then started back up in Canterlot, meaning Shaw is behind it," Twilight figured it out. "And he use the guest list for tonight's crime spree."

"Uh, as anyone has seen Trevor?" Fluttershy asked.

"I'm not sure, he told me he was going out for a bit," Tyler asked. "But it a good thing that our phones have tracking signal... just a moment and got it. that's odd."

"What's odd?"

"According to his location, he is at the Shaw Mansion. No wonder why he left out, Shaw must've pickpocketed him without knowing."

"We need to get there before he does bad to him."

"Well speak of the devil," Jonah said while looking at Trevor. "What brings you here?"

"Well, first of all, reclaiming some stolen property of mine, and believe me the only thing keeping me from kicking your butt, is the shame of the news of losing the family fortune."

"Who cares. about that, the good old days when Shaws were kings are coming back, cause I am gonna restore the Shaw name its former wealth and glory."

"And let me guess, and the best way to do is stealing like a common criminal, you have a long way to go."

"Not as long as think, buddy," He shows Trevor the sash of gold then one of the birds shows up.

"You were behind the high rises," Trevor said then strapped down his robots.

"My pets haven't been fed this evening," Jonah said then release his birds. "And they are famished. But why feed them seed, when they can have a treat of meat."

As the birds came and were about to converge on him from out of nowhere a gem shield stopped them and Ice Breaker holding it.

"Who's that?" Jonah asked.

"What are you doing here?" She asked him.

"Long story," Trevor replied as the rest of the Rainbooms showed.

"Sorry about this," Vine said as she used her telepathy to make the birds fly out of Shaw Manor.

"Come back, pretties!"

"Nice going."

"So, the tales of Rainbooms are true but really who names themselves after a rainbow and a sonic boom," Jonah smirked and send his robots but not after Cyber Witch used her magic and put the two in a cage and lock them.

"That takes care of those two," Tornado smirked. "Now where is that cheese head."

"I just one question for all of you," The Rainbooms and Trevor heard his voice. "How you'd find me?"

"You left a trail of breadcrumbs, Shaw," Sparkplug answered him.

Pheonix felt a sting on her head, showing a vision that Shaw was right behind Vine ready to strike. "Vine! Look out!"

Vine kicked him in the gut, knocking him back a little, and he recovered and had two swords behind his back.

"Please! Now that all pretenses are off, call me Spade, because all always have an ace in my sleeve!" He threw one of them at Rockrolller and Tornado, then blindsided them with a swift kick.

"Holy cupcakes!" Sparkplug exclaimed.

"A couple of tricks I picked up at the orient," Spade laughs than a magic blast almost hit him.

"I have few tricks of my own," Ice Breaker said as she armed her Ice Dagger.

"Bring it Ice Queen."

Both of them lunged at each other with their weapons. Both of them went to the tree and Spade drops two cages on her and then strike his sword as he came down, but not before Pheonix did her Flame Spiral Kick at him and landed Spade on a branch.

"If you what good for you, stand down," Pheonix told him.

"Not a chance lass," Spade said bringing out his Spade Chain and slicing the branch.

"Let me guess, a little something you picked up in the orient." Cyber Witch came to her fellow heroes and armed her Sparkle Stars and threw one of them.

"Nothing gets by you," Spade deflects it, freeing Trevor's right hand.

"How convenient," As Trevor frees himself.

Spade continues to use his chain, as the Rainbooms dodged it, until, the chain caught Ice Breaker and was trapped.

"Ohh, caught me a big one," Spade exclaimed while reeling her in.

"How dare you, you vile brute!" Ice Breaker snapped at him and pulled him toward him and gave a Freezing Kick and send him crashing into the birdfeeder and seeds fell down on him.

"Ouch, he's going to feel that one in the morning." Rock Roller exclaimed.

"There's a nice cage waiting for you in Canterlot Prison," Ice Breaker said.

"As it was thrilling watching you guys, kick bad-guy butts, now then, " Trevor said. "From now on, I shall leave you the sleuthing."

Casuse I'm going to restore the Shaw Family to its former wealth and glory, Spade woke up and arms his guns and was prepared to fire.

"Behind you!" Trevor said, then Ice Breaker froze him solid. "And that for aunt and uncle."

"Should we leave him?" Vine asked.

"Let the police deal with him, darling." Ice Breaker told as they left.
