It was a brand new day at Sprail Hill Village as Tangle was swinging around her town.

"Hell yeah!" Tangle exclaimed. "Nothing like a nice swing around on a nice day like today."

Then her friend Jewel the Beetle came by her side using her wings.

"Tangle!" Jewel shouted.

"Hey-hey Jewels, about damn time you got of that stuffy museum!"

"That's only because you nearly knock the sign off from over my door. And you about to run into somebody."

"Relax, I knew these streets ever since we were little, what are the odds that-*Crash*" As Tangle ran into a chilidog cart.

"Tangle," Ron greeted.

"Hey, Ron," Tangle smiled back. "A couple of Chilidogs, to go...?"

Moments Later at Jewel's Mineral Musem

"How's your head?"

"Not as sore as my pride, ambushed by a cart how hulimating,"

"I've been meaning to ask you something, what's going with you, you have been more hyper lately as you've been bouncing off the walls lately literally and figurately."

"I'm sorry for being a pest. it's just that after everything I have done with Sonic, Twilight, and the others. things are so boring!"

"I fought off robot invasions! Flying Battleships! Met a Firey Princess from another dimeson! Hell. I even pulled off the wings of a robot dragon!"

"And I've come home for peace and quiet, I can't freaking stand it!"

"But why not go out there and have your own adventures like Sonic."

"I thought about, sure it's tempting but if something bad happens while I'm gone? Eggman's robots attack once it could happen again only next time much worse."

"And it would be the first time you would be going solo."

"That and nervous as hell, I wouldn't have you the watch my back." Tangle express suddenly Tangle and Jewel hear a crash from outside.

"Crap, please don't me that Babylon Rouges or those Dazzlings," Jewel hid behind the desk.

"I'll take a look! Try hide and try not to look expensive-Haha!"

Tangle exits the museum to see "Sonic and Rainbow Dash" running away from someone shooting at him. Tangle jumps in to protect her friend, only to see that it is Whisper and two ponies attacking them.

The villagers begin to notice the commotion, with Sonic and Rainbow assuring them that they are the real deal. They continue to dodge more laser shots from Whisper and the green unicorn magic blasts and earth pony blaster and duck into an alleyway. Whisper uses the Hover Mode on her Variable Wispon to reach some rooftops and take aim at Sonic with the Wispon's Spikes Mode.

"Ok no time to think got to stop them," Tangle said then ram right into the them allow the others to escape then the lemur took Whisper's mask.

"Give it back," Whisper demanded.

"Not a chance!" Whisper declined. "Eggman probably rigged it."

"He did not."

"They why were you and pony friends shooting Sonic and Rainbow?"

"Because that not them?" the green unicorn came in.

"Huh, your pulling my leg?" Tangle asked.

"Just look," Whisper put her mask on Tangle.

The recording shows Sonic and Rainbow Dash finding Whisper, stating that they was looking for her. Whisper was also doing the same as he was causing trouble and being targeted. According to two, Whisper was also being targeted as "he" had found out one of the Diamond Cutters was still alive and "he" did not want the job left unfinished. Tangle stops watching the recording once the faux Sonic and Rainbow pulls their weapons and reveled the faces.

"Who the hell were those two!?" Tangle exclaimed.

"Not here. Exposed."

"Yeah, okay. C'mon I know where we can talk."

As the quartet left the group they were unknowingly being watched by a faux villagers.

At the Mineral Museum

"Okay for starters," Tangle started the conservation. "Who are you two ?"

"My name is Lyra Heartstrings."

"And my name is Bon-Bon."

"Lyra, Bon-Bon, got it. And for two who were they back there?"

"Their names are Mimic and Venjix. A Shapeshifter and Bounty hunter," Whisper explained as the Wisps were playing.

"Whoa, what they did do that caused you guys to hunt them down."

"For Mimic, he's was mercenary. Betrayed his team. Helped Eggman wipe them out. Took Sonic's form and starting trouble," Lyra explained. "And for the other one Venjix is a mysterious, formidable, and dangerous inter-multiverse bounty hunter who kills anyone whom he is hired to kill or captures his target alive and retrieves them to his client/employer who hired him. He also has a job of eliminating heroes and warriors from the cartoon multiverse by traveling their universes to destroy them and does that because he was bored sometimes and his employer is Eggman."

"Wow. You're awesome that you are looking out for us like that! With that a call to action, Tangle, Whisper, Lyra, and Bon-Bon! Kicking bad guy butt!" With the Wisps joyfully joining Tangle, the lemur declares her determination to defeat any evil she, Whisper and the Wisps come across. "So, interested?"

"Pass," Whisper declined.

"Oh come on! We've done great things together. We were crucal in defeating Neo Metal Sonic, show the Babylon Rouges and Dazzlings who the boss, and this Mimic and Venjx dudes will be no differnert! I mean how much trouble can one mercany and bounty hunter can do? So , are we doing this?"

"No."

"Whisper! Aren't we friends?"

"Yes."

"Then why won't you join me and the two mares."

As Whisper takes a second to process, the Wisps surround Tangle and hug her.

"Even the your alien buddies agree with me!"

"Okay."

"Yeah!"

"Welcome the team, Tangle," Lyra giggles then they heard a thunk.

This alerts Whisper and she immediately activates her Variable Wispon's Cube Mode. She kicks the doors open but finds no one outside. Instead, she finds a letter left hanging from the front door by a dagger.

"My door!" Jewel exclaimed.

"What is it?"

"An invitation."

"Show they want a showdown already? Brace yourselves were coming for you!"

Variable Wispons are Wipson that uses more than one Wisps' power.

Question to the MLP Fans

If you were unicorn what would magic be like?

Last time, Tangle greets her old friend Whisper with mares Lyra and Bon-Bon who are on the hunt for Mimic and Venjix who are requesting a showdown.

Outside a forgotten, Eggman Empire bunker, Whisper and Bon-Bon attempts to scan the interior. She is soon interrupted and annoyed by Tangle and Lyra who are pretending to sneak around.

"Stop it," Whisper urged to stop it.

"Sorry,' Tangle sheepily said.

"Anything?" Lyra asked.

"No, we can't see anything," Bon-Bon replied.

"So does we're clear to go down there.'

"We're walking blindly into their trap."

"Hah! They invited us here and now we back them until a corner... which both have over control got it, so find another way to get in or wait."

"No. Now or Never. Have to risk it."

"So, we'll be careful, just out of curiosity he seems to think a 'diamond cutter.' I assume you have a history with him?"

"Yes."

"Okay touchy subject, anything I need about those two."

"Mimic is dangerous, manipulative, stay on guard."

"Venijx. is ruthless and he is cunning, do try anything funny on him."

"Alrighty!"

The girls head to the back of the Eggman base, unknowingly watched by Mimic and Venijx.

"Well, you were," Venijx told him. "They would come though I wasn't expecting the lemur to tag along."

"That was always her weakness, she's ius using all the wisps a crutch... that you made me go on the run," Mimic said.

"No wonder why Eggman wants you to finish her off, and I get a huge bounty for capturing those two mares for him. They made a couple of messes at his bases."

"The sooner we get these done, the sooner I don't watch by the asshole.., Part me of wishes I could settle my fight with Whisper alone, but given circumstances and let your handicap."

And effectively shapeshifts into Jewel. Tangle opens the back entrance to the bunker and slowly walks in with Whisper.

"This is pretty boring for a trap," Tangle said being bored then got an idea. "Let them make their play at our pace! I'll go high!" she extends her tail to reach a metal storage unit. She gives a thumbs up to the disgruntled Whisper and the mare who sighs and continues to move through the bunker slowly. Tangle begins to silently narrate as she moves through the bunker while also thinking about Whisper's silence and how Mimic has clearly hurt her. She suddenly hears Jewel's voice and moves quickly towards the source.

"How the hell is Jewel here," Lyra exclaimed knowing that she is back safe and sound in Spiral Hill.

"Maybe they kidnap her to use as bait," Bon-Bon suggested.

"Who knows, now they asking for it!" Tangle exclaimed as the quartet soon find a safe and Whisper made sure that no know was behind him.

As the coast is clear, Whisper tells Tangle and the ponies that she will cover them while she went to rescue Jewel. As Tangle begins to enter the safe, she considers how worried Whisper must have been as she was speaking more than usual. When Tangle realizes that she did not have her Variable Wispon with her, "Whisper" kicks all three of them into the safe and locks it behind her. Tangle immediately pounds on the door, shouting at Mimic and Venijx to be fought in the open. She stops, knowing that if she continued she will use up all of the air in the safe. Whisper continues to move around and faces Tangle and Venjix. As the lemur cowers before her, Whisper demands her to prove that she is truly Tangle. Tangle shows Whisper a cut on her shirt that Mimic made after he had impersonated Jewel and tried to swipe at her; he soon ran and Tangle went to look for Whisper. The wolf lowers her Wispon and begins to think. Tangle excitedly leads Whisper onward to where Mimic ran off to. Whisper follows and as she turns the corner, she narrowly dodges an attack from an Egg Hammer with a wrecking ball.

"Tangle" stands on the Egg Hammer and laughs; he tells Whisper that not only can he replicate clothing, but he can also make it look damaged. The Egg Hammer continues to swing at Whisper. Once the wolf gets her mask scope on properly, she uses the Spikes Mode on her Variable Wispon to cut the chain of the Egg Hammer's wrecking ball. She then uses the Rocket Mode on the Wispon and shoots at the Egg Hammer's torso, destroying it. Both manage to jump off and throw a bomb in Whisper's vicinity. The wolf quickly uses her Wispon's Hover Mode to dodge the explosion. She swiftly dodges attacks from Venijx's laser gun and shoots it out of his hand with her Wispon's Laser Mode. With her Wispon's Cube Mode on, Whisper towers over Mimic. He compliments her shooting style but Whisper demands to know Tangle's location. Mimic claims that Tangle is in a safe space and says that he "can't say the same for the others". With this, Mimic begins to shapeshift into different members of the Diamond Cutters, taunting Whisper of how they were his friends as well but she failed to protect them. Whisper hits Mimic with her Wispon and remind him that he sold them out in the first place. Mimic begins to taunt Whisper again, believing that she has given up on her new friend. He reveals that Tangle is locked in a safe and if she hurries she may be able to rescue her before she runs out of air but doubts that they will make it out before his bombs explode. Mimic grins at Whisper while the wolf realizes she has an ultimatum in her hands. She runs away from Mimic, leaving him to walk out of the bunker and lock its entrance.

"Rest in peace, Whisper, this has been our last dance," Mimic said.

"And so long, Lyra and Bon-Bon, it been a blast," Venjix said.

Whisper manages to find the safe and uses her Wispon's Spikes Mode to open it.

"Oh, thank god," Tangle scrambles out and is helped up by Whisper and then helps the ponies.

"What happened?" Bon-Bon asked.

"No time! There are bombs!" Whisper said.

They soon see the explosions already detonating, so Tangle swiftly pushes Whisper, Lyra, and Bon-Bon into the safe and closes the door behind them as the entire bunker explodes. As the bunker is left in ruins and flaming debris, the safe lays on the ground barely scathed. Tangle punches the safe's door open with her tail and gasps for air.

"Well, crap, they weren't messing around there nothing left!" Tangle exclaimed seeing the destruction.

"Tangle, Lyra, Bon-Bon... go home," Whisper simply said.

"Wait, I know that I screwed up! Let Mimic and Venjix trick me it won't happen again!"

"No."

"Don't go at it alone. Let us prove we're not failures!" Lyra exclaimed.

"You're not!" Whisper replied to Lyra

"Then why?!" Bon-Bon asked.

"I won't lose another friend! I can't!" She shouted and goes to sit at the entrance of the safe while Tangle wipes away her tears then Tangle came by her side wiping her tears.

"Okay, you got hurt, very deep, and I'm guessing you're long overdue for talking about it. So let it out, I'll shut up and listen."

"Okay, I'll tell you everything."

At ground zero of the formerEggman Empire bunker.

"You been carrying some serious baggage all on your own. I see that now," Tangle understands what Whisper was going through.

"Let us help you," Lyra chimed.

"What happened? What did Mimic do to you?" Bon-Bon asked.

Whisper begins to tell the three about the five members of the Diamond Cutters while presenting a picture of them; herself, their scout; Smithy, their crafter; Slinger, their marksman; Claire Voyance, their psy-op; and Mimic, their infiltrator. Tangle compliments Whisper on how cool they looked. Whisper goes on to say that they were an anti-Eggman mercenary team and they took the most dangerous missions. At the time, she thought they were all committed to the cause. Whisper gets her mask scope to show a video image of them the events of their last mission and tells her that the video of their masks was linked to letting them review their missions and study each other's perspectives.

From Smithy's perspective, at an Eggman Empire base, he, Claire, and Slinger pretended to be captured by Mimic who was disguised as an Egg Pawn. After they managed to destroy the foot soldiers, Smithy asked Claire where the patrols were. Claire managed to see one formation on the far end of the base and two more inside that were recharging. Smithy then turned to Whisper, who told him that she saw one patrol that was one hundred meters from the front gate. Switching to Mimic's perspective, Smithy went on to say that the door should be blown while they tore down everything near the center. With this, Smithy and Slinger began to shoot at many Egg Pawns. From Whisper's distance away, she saw an approaching Blaster tank with several Badniks following it and swiftly took it down with her rifle. On the inside, Claire neutralized the central command tower. Mimic quickly built a way out with his Wispon and the others followed while Whisper gave the all-clear to leave.

"Hell yeah! You guys were awesome!" Tangle said enjoying the mission.

"We worked well together," Whisper's Cyan Wisp exclaimed.

"I'll say! You all- Aah!" Bon-Bon added then heard the alien talk. "Wait a minute you can talk?"

The Wisp spoke in their usual language then Bon-Bon put on the mask on her face.

"Say again?"

"I said 'of course, we can talk'."

"The mask allows you to talk to the Wisps!" Tangle exclaimed.

"Smithy was a genius and was the one who created their masks, Wispons, and miscellaneous gear. He wished for the team to act as one with the help of their masks. The Variable Wispon was actually a prototype and they were all meant to have one so that they could all use each of the Wisps." The wolf explained but then stops but Tangle proceeds to ask her to continue as the truth was eating her up inside. When Whisper refuses to tell her, Tangle asks to see the footage on her mask's file instead, not wanting to rush her into confronting her past. However, she reasons that the more Whisper can share with her, the more the lemur can help her. The Wisps gather around Whisper, agreeing with Tangle's point of view. With this, Whisper inputs new commands into her mask and hands it to Tangle. Tangle puts on the mask to view another playback from Whisper's point of view. Mimic can be seen talking about an Eggman base that the team should take down so that his forces along the coastline would blackout. He saw this as a big opportunity as Eggman was currently focusing on taking over the world as a certain hedgehog had disappeared. Claire turned to Whisper and asked her to hang back like she usually did despite the fact that Mimic said that they were all needed on the ground for the mission. Claire told her that she had a bad feeling about the mission but still did not want to pass up such an opportunity. At the Eggman base, the Diamond Cutters found no security of any kind. Claire had trouble seeing anything in the base, deducing Eggman must have been projecting alpha waves. Whisper also reported that no activity was occurring outside of the base. Slinger did not like how Eggman seemed more prepared for the Diamond Cutters this time while Mimic believed the doctor was simply adapting since no other team was taking down his bases. Smithy found both Slinger and Mimic right and asked the latter to scout around for an ambush while they pushed ahead. Soon, Claire deduced where the alpha waves were occurring the strongest, believing Eggman was hiding something in unfamiliar capsules. Smithy told the team to lock and load so that they could destroy the base's interior. Smithy then came across a capsule, believing it contained something that looked similar to Metal Sonic. To his shock, it was actually a Shadow Android. The room door locked behind the trio and many more Shadow Androids began to break out of their capsules. Unable to escape, the Diamond Cutters tried to fight against androids with all of their strength. Slinger and Claire attempted to contact Whisper and Mimic but neither of them answered.

"So that's what happened with Mimic what about Venjix?" Tangle asked.

"After Mimic disposes of all the Diamond Cutters but Whisper, Eggman wanted to make sure that no one else will pull anything surprises on his turf," Bon-Bon explained. "But when he did find out about us he hired Venjix to capture us in response for Princess Celestia and Luna to surrender, instead Princess Twilight and her friends defeated him and rescued us in the process but even though he fail to stop us, he promises him the next he sees us he kill us and the others since Eggman pays well for his services."

"And as for me, I waited until Mimic cleared the area. Reduced the Wisps. Went back to base, Took Smithy's prototype."

"But I got a question for you," Lyra turned to Whisper. "Why keep hold of the footage?"

"Never forget. Never Forgive."

"That's why you took the wispon and fought as 'The Guardian Angel of the Battlefield.' and why you were uneasy around Shadow."

"That was their idea, not mine. And it was difficult seeing the original."

"I pretty much of everything now, but why leave and the others out of it? For one, Venijx is dangerous as Mimic, but if he gets inside your head, then why ask Sonic, Rainbow, Twilight, or hell, anybody!"

"You are the first friends I've allowed myself to have since then I can't bear the thought of losing anyone again."

"Well too bad! You're my friend too! And Friends look for each other no matter what!"

"They nearly destroy us tonight."

"Well yeah... Which means there both get double the payback for every bad thing that they have done! Especially not when her friends need avenging."

With this, Whisper hugs the lemur and the ponies. "Thank you."

"Alright then, what's our net move? The trail is cold and could a take a while to find either of them." Lyra said.

"Maybe not, they both got 'rid of you' once. Eggman will demand solid proof meaning they will come back and give them a taste of their own medicine."

Later Venjix the Hunter arrives on the scene.

"Well, I'm here. This is the spot where Mimic finished them off... Not only the Wolf is still alive she had become a become of beacon of hope during the Eggman War. Sonic and those ponies give him a headache as it is, there's no more room for one more!"

Venijx saw the bunker but no sign of them and instead of finding something else and contacted Dr. Eggman.

"Doc, it's me Venijx, remember when ask both to dispose of the last diamond cutters and her pony friends. Bad news, they escaped, but good news I know exactly where to find them. Feel free to contact Mimic and let him know that he still has a job to finish and not much trouble send some back up because I'm through playing fair and make personally make sure that wipe off from the face of the map."

At the former Diamond Cutters base on the Clove Sea.

"Holy moly, I think you really ticked off all three of them!" Tangle exclaimed

"Defined him. Embarrassed him. So, yep,' Whisper agreed.

"Still all this fuss, with just the four of us?" Bon-Bon asked.

"Hardly seems fair. for them," Lyra joked.

"Seriously, though just one of those things nearly wrecked my hometown. How are we supposed to deal with two?" Tangle asked.

"Like this." Whisper uses her Variable Wispon to shoot at one of the Buzz Bomber's torso, which damages it enough to end its flight. The Buzz Bomber crashes into another Buzz Bomber and takes it down with it.

"What a shot!"

"What are the odds both Mimic and Venjix were on one of those?"

"None. They were decoys. They'll be entering by the base now."

"That's me and Bon-Bon's cue...unless you and Lyra want to switch."

"It's fine."

As Tangle and Bon-Bon headed toward the interior of the base, Lyra and Whisper continued to battle the Badinks.

Inside the base, Tangle waits by the side of a door. As a shadow approaches, she extends her tail to trip up the person entering. The person is revealed to apparently be Sonic.

"What are you doing?" Bon-Bon asked.

"I heard someone was impersonating me and I decided to get to bottom of it," Sonic replied.

Tangle and Bon-Bon felt skeptical of what he said.

"Ok, follow us we set a trap for him."

"By all means show me."

They led him into the rec room allowing Sonic to only find the three masks that belonged to the other deceased members of the Diamond Cutters hanging on the walls.

"Is this a trap?" Sonic asked.

"Yep," Tangle confirms that this was indeed a trap and presses a button that activates the masks. The masks act as projectors for past video footage of Claire, Smithy and Slinger respectively praising Mimic for his work. Whisper is also shown off, who had stated that she felt so much better when he was down there watching their backs.

As Mimic changes back into himself, Venijx arrived armed with his gun.

"Was really worth betraying your friends just to save your skin?" Tangle asked him.

"And why would align yourself with Eggman?" Bon-Bon asked the bounty hunter.

"Simple my little pony, I would never be a part of his grand scheme, unless for a sizable fee."

"They were a means to an end."

"You two are the worst!"

"And your deluded, friendship is for fools!" Venjix declared as knocked both of them to the floor. "Sadly this game has come to an end!"

As Venjix prepares to deliver the final blow, Tangle sneakily manages to punch him into Mimic with her tail then she and Bon-Bon engaged the shapeshifter in close combat. Due to Mimic's advanced training, he overpowers Tangle by hitting her with her own tail and forcing her backward and she falls on top of Bon-Bon.

"You both not bad, which some proper training you'd be formidable."

Before Mimic and Venjix did anything, Whisper enters and hits away from his dagger with the Variable Wispon in its Cube Mode and Lyra did a magic blast to Venjix sending him crashing into a wall and knocking him out.

"Blue!" He called his former partner. "You hated violence! Are you going to let her use you on me?!"

After a short pause, Whisper swings at Mimic, only for the Blue Wisp to swiftly exit the Wispon and turn away in shame.

"Aw, blue."

With the Variable Wispon still in its default mode, Whisper hits Mimic with it and begin to struggle with him. Mimic manages to push Whisper back and turns the Variable Wispon towards her, only to be grabbed and slammed downwards by Lyra's magic. Not giving up, Mimic struggles within Lyra's grasp and attempts shapeshifting into Smithy, then Eggman, and finally Vector. Lyra warns Mimic to stay down. Whisper then points her Variable Wispon at Mimic's head, with the Blue Wisp looking on in disappointment at his former partner.

"Whisper? Listen to me okay, Badnik is one thing but this is different. I know what he did to you, it's unforgivable. but do this, you'll live with for the rest of your life. Wouldn't be worse for him to be locked up knowing he had to wake up every that he lost to you?"

Whisper gently turns to the wall where the other Diamond Cutters' masks were and look at them with sadness.

"You're right, It's over. The Diamond Cutters are done," Whisper exclaimed as the Blue Wisp came to her side. "Hush. I don't blame you."

"So what will do with them?"

"I have an idea who can handle them!" Bon-Bon exclaimed.

Later at the Castle of Friendship...

"I'd rather you had pulled the trigger," Mimic said as he sat in a specialized designed cell and the same thing for Venjix.

"I'll bet! I built this test chamber to run models off all sorts of artificial climate and atmospheric conditions. No way that either of them can get out," Tails exclaimed.

"See, what did you tell, the kid has an answer for everything!" Tangle nudged Whisper's shoulder.

"You really think this cage can hold me!" Venjix slammed the cage. "I've escaped from cages, cells, and prisons, and I can escape from this, too!"

"You can try but you will fail, only the next time, we make sure you never have a to escape to harm anyone," Twilight boldly said.

"Bold, aren't we Sparkle."

"Y'know, if you get- and that's big if, I wouldn't try it, Eggman doesn't know that either of you is here," Applejack said.

"And if you did, Bon-Bon told us that Eggman can track you and your octo-buddy, he once he spots you, he will be pretty mad that you wasted all of his Badnik resources, and finds you fail," Rainbow finishes the farm pony theory.

"I hate you, so much," Venjix glared at them.

"Take one to know one," Pinkie smiles at him.

"Don't worry, I'll make sure that two get transported to the near cell," Twilight told Whisper.

"Thank you. Do not open it."

"No matter who's inside. Thanks for the help!"

"It's our pleasure!" Rarity said.

"Thanks for stopping by," Fluttershy said.

Outside, Tangle asks what others was going to do now. Whisper states that as Eggman was still out there, she would keep fighting until he was gone and as for the mares were going to settle down in Ponyville. As the wolf tears up, she asks if Tangle wants to come along with her. Tangle accepts the offer but says that she wishes to take some time off back at home as she is homesick and is not wishing to worry Jewel too much. The girls thus share a friendly fist bump and set off in their different directions.
