Derpy was ecstatic about her new career and wondered who her first customer would be.
She stood in the main square in PonyVille hoping some pony would ask.
After attempting to entice a few ponies over, Derpy felt like giving up.
Two hours standing in a crowded area holding muffins with nothing to show for it.
That was until Apple Bloom had appeared.
"Heya Miss.Derpy.What are ya selling?"
Derpy smiled and showed the tray of muffins to the young filly before offering her
a free sample.
Apple bloom nodded happily as Derpy placed a muffin in her hoof.The filly took a bite
of the muffin and stopped, her mouth still crammed with the food.
"There is something different about this muffin."
She said this with her words muffled by the food,Then she swallowed it.
"But I like it!"
Apple bloom asked to buy three muffins, she wanted to share the delight with Applejack,
Big Macintosh and Granny Smith too.
After a quick exchange the young filly was on her way and Derpy was admiring her first
pay.
She had 6 bits.
The rent for this month was 40 bits, but Derpy was sure she could do it.
Derpy, inspired by her first customer, stood persistant to reach a goal of atleast
20 bits before days end.

Four more hours had passed with the sunlight begginning to dim, she had managed to reach
16 bits.
Despite not reaching her goal she was still happy with the profits she had gotten for day one.
"You gotta start out small, I suppose."
Derpy mumbled to herself.
As she packed her things she noticed Stygian Bolt walking towards her with a large cut on his
head and a bandage around his chest.
Derpy was curious and walked towards him.
"Sty, are you alright?What happened?"
Derpy question, her voice now a bit jumpy.
"I am fine Derpy."
Sty replied with anger in his voice.
"S-So what happened?!"
"I was attacked last night Derpy, somepony robbed my vinyard and all of my money."
"Do you have any idea who it was?!"
"The police currently have no leads but are still looking into it.Until then I can't go back
to my home as it is still considered a crime scene."
"Would you like to stay in mine in the meantime?"
Derpy asked this with no time to spare.As if expecting it.
"I would not want to bother you Derpy, I was going to go to Fillydelphia to stay with my
cousins."
"No,no,no Sty.Please you can stay in mine, it is no problem at all really."
"Well, if you are sure about this."
"I am, really I am."
"Well, alright, Thank you Derpy."

Derpy handed the key to her house to Sty.
She needed to finish packing things up and also she wanted to do something else.
She did not tell Sty what it was but said she would be back in thirty minutes.
And with that, Sty left for Derpy's house.
