Within the Frozen Wastelands

"Bishop, are you sure your tip was right?" Tornado asked her while looking at the base. "This place is emptier than Sparkplug's head."

"ACME tip," Bishop replied. "It's the first place we trashed and the last place we looked."

"Cut the chat," Phoenix said as she, Masked Matterhorn, and Tails came down. "Thus is the first peep we've heard from the Legion of Chaos since they got their hands of the Alicorn Amulet."

"Listen to the firebird people," Iron Mare said while flying. "Who the hell knows what weapons they've super-charged with its magic energy, Merlok, broaden my infra-reds. Now Claw's is going to catch me off-guard, again."

"Supercharged weapons? The Amulet can do that?" Arctic Ace asked.

"The Amulet is a source of power, capable of many glorious and terrible feats, given off Princess Celestia information."

Inside the Base, Cozy, Zavok, Starline, and Nightmare Mechanic walked through a wormhole.

"Alright, remind us why we were again?" Cozy asked.

"For this," Starline said, showing them a case full of Iridium.

"Iridium? Inserting," Zavok said seeing.

"More than inserting, it is the keystone to our success. Now let's grab it before something unexpected happens..."

"Quiet, doc," Zavok exclaimed. "I've heard something."

"Bah! Enough of paranoid dramatics. There is nothing out..." Nightmare Mechanic said before Zavok catch a Sparkle Star.

"Doubt me, again, and the next will go," Zavok reminded him then it flashed blinding all of them then Rainboom League show up.

"Knuckles, Rock Roller engaged the heavy hitters!" Iron Mare said.

"Think fast!" Knuckles deliver a punch to Zavok he countered right back.

"A sneak attack?" Cozy asked. "How original can you get? It's showtime!"

Crimson Sparrow and Metal Sonic came through the wormhole along with a couple of VILE goons.

"Cyber Witch, Right flank, strafe low. Corner them to the hole," Iron Mare told her.

"Got it!"

"Wait," Sonic tried to warn her as he spinkick Metal Sonic. "Knuckles need space."

"No. What Knuckles needs is Cyber Witch to secure his six. Twilight, go!"

Cyber Witch got within range as Knuckles and Zavok wrestled with each other.

"Don't when those two go at it, they can bring down the house. It's unnecessary."

"Sonic, look around you, they are caring weapons that have been harnessed by magic. We are way beyond risk."

"Perfect time to test our strengths not question our weaknesses."

"It's a turkey shot go for it."

"Beat it, redhead!" Zavok exclaimed then punch him straight into Cyber Witch.

"Crap! Cyber Witch!"

"One loser down, millions to follow!" Cozy said as the villains left through the wormhole.

Hours later at Velvet Tower

"Merlok, prep sick bay," Amy said as they carried the injured hero into sick bay. "We'll need a full diagnostic scan."

"Hang in there, Twilight. We're almost there," Sunset reassured her.

Twilight was strapped up as monitors scan her.

"How she's doing?" Fluttershy asked.

"So far, she is stabilized, her costume took most of the impact," Tails looking at vital signs.

"Listen up, guys," Velvet spoke up. "Effective immediately, I'm stepping down as team leader."

"Do you think is the best time for that?" Rarity asked.

"Time for what?"

"The 'woe is me' routine," Rainbow pointed out.

"I should lead," Knuckles suggested then everyone look at him. "What? They'd never see it coming?"

"This day alone has been a lot of surprises, that I can't comprehend what you just said," Indigo said.

"Can it comprehend my fist?" Knuckles said.

"Okay, not the best time jokes," Amy stopped him.

"I'm not joking, think about it. Every counter strategy they've done has been a direct response to my leadership. I'm a tech genius and Sunset does it better. Why don't we all just do what we do well and call it a day? Hoorah."

"Sweet Gaia below," Tails exclaimed.

"Couldn't have said it better," Shadow agreed then the alarm sounded.

"Merlok, pull up the monitors," Sunset requested.

I cannot Miss Shimmer. I have been hacked.

"Wait hacked?" Velvet asked.

"By who?" Sunset added.

Is anyone there?

"Melvin," Sugarcoat exclaimed. "Let me guess another take-over-the-world scheme?"

Not this time, my underground lab is being robbed by The Legion of Chaos. What is the meaning of this?

"And here I thought nothing could make me smile," Rainbow smirked. "What? That dude has a screw loose inside him!"

"Time for you to suit up," Sunset told Velvet.

"No, I need to monitor Twilight's heath, my place by her side. You do what you best, Sunshine. Save the day. I'll be on comms. Let me know how to back your play. Meanwhile, I'll try to figure out Claw's next move. And why he's stealing Melvin's toys."

"So, what the plan, hot stuff?" Adagio asked Sunset.

"Let's go save our manic scientist!" Sunset declared.

At Melvin's underground lab.

"Just take the weapons," Melvin begged. "But keep the label."

"Glad you came to your senses, Melvin," Starline exclaimed. "You just like Eggman, sidetracked when the heroes come to play. My intellect shall enhance your weaponry nicely"

Then Melvin smiled at him.

"Do you think this funny?!" Cozy threatened him.

"No, but that is," Melvin saw the Rainboom League.

Cozy turned around only for Tornado to crash into her.

"That's for blindsided me," Tornado said.

"Diamond Damsel! Shut the door." Pheonix said. "No one gets out until we get answers."

"Done!" The diamond-studded hero created a crystal-like dome over the exit. "Door is closed."

"Sonic! Disarm!"

Sonic sped through all the VILE agents and swipe their weapons. "Man your lousy shots!"

Metal Sonic and Trickster enter the scene.

"Miss us! Here is the welcoming committee!" Trickster his blaster then some tapped his shoulder.

"Surprise!" Pinkie said as she and Amy whack both of them and right into Starline. "The clown, the bot, and the doc are down!"

"Nice job, everyone!" Pheonix said.

"That went smoothly," Double Trouble said looking at the collapsed villains.

"That feels weird," Hurricane said as she put her hands on her hips.

"I could've done better," Knuckles said as Pheonix picked up Cozy.

"Where the Claw, Cozy?" She asked her. "Spill."

"Spill, I give something to spill!" Cozy exclaimed as she Phoenix kicked off a through a threw Starline mine.

"Phoenix, stay back," Matterhorn said. "That look like the Amulet's power sign."

"You're bright as daylight! This mine allows combining with all the weapons in this place."

All the weapons in the started to meld.

"On second thought, maybe we're not better with the nerd," Tornado before the bot blasted at Rock Roller and Knuckles.

"Everyone, take defensive positions!" Phoenix said as everyone ducked for cover. "Ice Breaker, we'll interference. Get the shoulder turrets on each other?"

"You're giving me the giant robot, but no time for lollygagging!" Ice Breaker said as she summoned a gem shield and head straight for the robot.

Ice Breaker clime the robot the got the turrets to fire at each other then Ice Breaker did Scissor Kick slicing the robot and landed with grace.

"Wow," Pinkie was amazed.

"And that darlings is how to take out a big machine without brute force!"

"Damn it!" Cozy screamed. "You haven't won today because you already lost, assholes!"

Cozy teleported herself and the villains out of the lab.

"Like I said, before, I hate that kid," Tornado exclaimed.

"This doesn't make sense, first they grabbed Iridium, now enough proto-weapons to stockpile an army,' Pheonix said. "This isn't good."

"You're telling, I just redecorated the place," Melvin said kicking some scrap parts.

Later on the Prism Jet.

"Let's get this straight, all the gear that Cozy, Starline, and Trickster have power up by the Amulet," Velvet said on the Monitor.

"We been running scans for trace signatures of the Amulet," Pheonix said. "But Starline was smart enough to cover its tracks. Not sure what our next move is?"

"Without you or Twilight, we're flying blind," Hurricane said.

"Got a lock, Thirty miles due west of Saddle Arabia."

"How did you-,"

"Simple static feedback, when cover one trail creates another. I told you I'd back your play."

"You ready to join us," Sonic said.

"I need to keep running algorithms on Claw's possible plans. And Twilight's still...Velvet out."

"So, that's a no."

Then energy blast was fired at the Prism Jet.

"What was that?" Boom bust exclaimed.

"I'll give a one guess," Shadow suggested.

"Hey Pheonix, don't need a fancy formula to figure out Claw's plan."

"Come down and enjoy the celebration, Heroes!" Dusk Claw exclaimed.

"Knuckles, you still wanna take charge of the team?" Phoenix asked.

"I'm not that stupid,"

Dusk Claw fired and took the jet but made it out Pheonix ca

"What now oh captain, my captain?" Sonic asked.

"New plan, Double Trouble, Bishop, Shadow, Amy, Tornado, Hurricane, Boombust take out Claw's Amulet Weapon."

Bishop's group was surrounded by Eggpawns.

"Knux, Rock Roller, Aria focus on the heavies. Sonic, Tails, Adagio, Ice Breaker, Sparkplug, and I got the army and Crimsom Sparrow."

She came right at them within dragon form.

"She can do that?!" Adagio asked.

"Yeah," Tails replied. "With her, there are always surprises."

"Hit stuff, why didn't of that?" Knuckles asked knocking the goon away.

"You never head in terms of thinking," Aria asked while blowing away.

"Let's end this rivalry," Zavok said as he appeared.

"You got it,"

Both Knuckles and Zavok collied each other by running into each other.

"You are surrounded!"

"While you are simply out!" Rock Roller uppercut him.

"Look to your left!" Aria said

Rock Roller didn't respond in time as got tackled by Cozy Glow.

"You're Welcome."

"Bring it on I can do this all day!" Hurricane and Tornado punching goon for goon as reach for the weapon.

"Don't let them near the device before it's charged!" Dusk Claw exclaimed as pushed Metal Sonic and Golden Touch down there.

"Try that again! And I'll fry that armor of yours!" Golden Touch exclaimed as he and Metal engaged.

"I don't how this will work," Bishop said. "The Legion of Chaos hate each other just as they hate us."

"Claw's fooling himself if he thinks his crew is gonna rock-paper-scissors for the planet!" Double Trouble said.

"Not on my watch!" Pheonix said as did her Volcanic Flare and took most of the goons.

At Velvet Tower

"What's up?" Velvet asked.

"The Amulet is live. It's attached to a cannon pointed at the sky. They had an earth-conquering army we need you now!"

"Did you say pointed to the sky?"

"Is that really your take-away?"

"Sunshine, listen, The Legion of Army makes sense, but why the iridium?"

"Get down here and Claw yourself!"

"Already got a call into Quinn for ACME backup on target cities. That buys you some time while this out."

"Velvet, you said you'd back my play. My play is Iron Mare, Now!"

"Sounds like they need our help," Twilight as she walked into the room.

"Oh my goodness, you okay!" Fluttershy hugged her.

"Are you alright?" Velvet asked.

"A little stiff, but luckily I can fly," As Twilight became her alter ego.

"No, you should sit this one out," Velvet suggested.

"Our friends need us."

"So it's gonna be like that, huh? Well, I got something just for you and the girls," She handed both Twilight and Fluttershy gauntlets. "I little something made up. And already gave Sunset and the others there too. It will active your armor, it was supposedly used later, much later."

"No time like the present then," Twilight replied.

"What aren't you suited up?" Fluttershy asked.

"Claw's up to something, I need to stay here and figure it out. I'm mission control on this one."

"Misson Control? Are you Joking?"

"No time to explain, I put the coordinates into gauntlets, you should have no problem fighting off the bad guys. Tell Sunset, not to wreck Claw's machine until I've cracked this."

"Are sitting on the sidelines because I got hurt?"

"Twi, I almost got you killed. I'm a liability right now. I don't think you want me out there. I'm sorry that pushed you."

"Apologies for another time, whatever you working on, you need to do it fast."

Both Twilight and Fluttershy left.

"Hold them off, Legion!" Dusk Claw exclaimed. "The Amulet awakened."

The machine started to glow.

"We've gotta move, move it now!" Bishop exclaimed.

"Galaxy Girl, your up!" Pheonix told her.

"Done," Galaxy Girl flew up and charged her hands. "Let's wrap this shall we?"

Galaxy Girl did a magic blast only for Cyber Witch to counter with a magic blast herself.

"Cyber Witch, what are you doing here?"

"Sorry, Velvet said 'Don't destroy that machine.'"

The machine fires a blast in the sky which created portals.

"Portals?" Shadow asked.

"This invasion isn't for Earth," Phoenix figured it out.

"I knew they wouldn't share," Sonic added.

"So, you finally understand. Why fight for mere scraps, when there are countless worlds to conquer? Behold, Legion. We stand on the edge of total victory! All you need to do is step forward."

"Cyber, did Velvet say anything about them invading other worlds?" Sunset asked.

"No, he didn't mention that?"

"This just got a whole lot more complicated."

"Look at them all, each one ripe for domination, suited to your every need, and Starline my loyal ally, the greatest of them all, Equestria! Let no man weep, for there are always more worlds to conquer."

"Everyone hold the line!" Matterhorn said.

...

"Spittballin her why are we not letting them go?" Hurricane asked as the Shadow Seven blocked Crimson Sparrow and Trickster.

"Cause we're not cowards," Bishop said.

"Fair enough," Hurricane said as she caused a lighting storm.

...

"Sorry, kiddo," Sonic exclaimed as he kick Cozy Glow into Golden Touch. "Your this world's problem."

"I have a better idea, join us!" Golden Touch fired energy blasts.

...

"It is marvelous," Zavok said as he got closer then Rock Roller grabbed his tail and threw him. "Out of my way you are blocking my destiny."

"Sorry partner, can't let you do that," Rock Roller said the Ice Breaker froze him solid.

"They'll survive darling," Ice Breaker said.

...

"You are not walked into my home," Phoenix said blocking Starline, Nightmare Mechanic, and Metal Sonic.

"With the Amulet, we dare much, my dear," Starline exclaimed as threw a big rock at her only Phoenix to slice in half and then did a fireblast at Metal Sonic scorching him and sending it to the ground.

"Damn," Nightmare Mechanic said then fire his Dark Matter Cannon at her but missed.

"Nightmare Mechanic, no!" Dusk Claw stops him and regains control of the Machine.

"Why? We can crush them!" Nightmare Mechanic said. "What good is the power if we can't use it."

"Because that's not his plan," Iron Mare said with all her suits. "Sorry for being late to the party. Getting dressed was a pain."

"Showboat," Double Trouble said.

"I didn't know you were going show up," Dusk Claw said as he armed his blasters.

"Yeah, it finally dawned on me that's what you were counting on."

"You have no chance against me."

"I lost certainly, starting to doubt myself and being a person who believed in the scientific method that's big stuff. Good thing I had friends who still believe in me."

"Fatih? You're in worse shape than I thought."

"You not really the guy who much stocks in friends, are Claw?"

"Look around, fool, my friends are about overthrow the entire universe."

"For about 0.5 seconds. The iridium core in your device opens an enticing window and that's it. But you know that didn't you."

"Meaning?" Tornado asked.

"Watch this," Sonic grabbed a VILE Sentry and tossed it into the portal into Equestria and got vaporized and the rest was shocked.

"Once your teammates git through, The Amulet would do the rest. A trans-dimensional guillotine."

"Claw? Does he speak the truth?" Mane-iac asked.

"You were sending us to our doom?" Trickster added.

"And aren't you all smart to figure it out that Claw doesn't play well with others if he is willing to destroy his own generals?" Shadow said. "And thee reason why he was afraid that Iron Mare see this exodus for what it really is. A double-cross."

"There can be only one ruler!"

"You villain!" Cozy exclaimed.

"Call me a villain, but I'm visionary. The greatest this world has ever seen. You should learn by now, that no matter how tin cans you throw at me, I shall triumph!"

"Don't count on it," Iron Mare said the Vine caught Dusk Claw put near at the core. "Have to give you props, Claw. You did a number on me. You managed to get in my head and hoped my heart would follow. But you forgot one detail, I have friends who can do this!"

Pheonix, Cyber Witch, Galaxy Girl, and Shadow fired shots at Dusk Claw and the Amulet.

"Nice going!" Hurricane slugged Iron Mare.

"Hate to spoil the celebration, but does anyone have an idea where Claw went?" Amy asked.

"Where I belong Miss Rose," Dusk Claw was right in front. "And where I belong..."

Dusk Claw fused The Alicorn Amulet in his battle suit.

"Is everywhere!" Dusk Claw sends everyone back. "Enjoy your final moments, for this day will be your last at the hands of the Cosmic Claw!"

He teleported himself away from leaving them.

"So, how do we stop him?" Diamond Damsel asked.

"Well..."Pheonix tried to explain.

"I think I speak for all of us when I say- It is the end of the universe!" Pinkie said then started to stress eat cupcakes.
