Eye Burner MLP (Rewrite)

Twilight Sparkle came home from a shopping trip. Her saddlebags were full of groceries and new books for her to read. The big paper bag was floated beside her by her magic.

“Honey, I am back and have a surprise for you,” She exclaimed warmly as she used her magic to close the door behind her.

“Okay, sweetie. I am coming,” Spike replied with an excited tone, putting a bookmark in his comic book. Then he sat up from his bean bag before leaving their bedroom. A surge of warm feelings waved over him like a tidal wave. He sort of did not care what her surprise was because she was his beloved angel in the whole world. Anything was in the world that would not be more precious than her to him.

“I will help you with putting away groceries and other things that you brought before I get my surprise, sweetie,” Spike said after they gave each other a welcome home hug and kiss.

“I insist that you see and enjoy your surprise rather than helping me with groceries, Spike. No buts,” Twilight acquired with a serve expression, looking at him. In return, he looked at her.

Then she floated the paper bag in front of him before placing it on the floor.

“Okay, okay, you are my boss. For the record, I finished all of the work that you asked me to do before you left,” He exclaimed with a smirk as he bent over to see what thing was in the bag. However, he would not see his surprise in it because it was sealed. But he used one of his claws cut through the ‘tear here to open’ dotted line to open it.

“I am, and I know because you are my tiny cute assistant,”

Her comment made Spike smile happily.

His expression was overloaded with excitement and happiness when he opened the bag. Twilight silently cozed over her dragon friend’s happiness that his surprise brought. He was speechless and slowly looked up to her before giving her a big hug.

“ I do not deserve it, and a sweet mare such as you in my life, Twilight,” He acquired honestly, still hugging her.

“Awwwwwwwwwwww, Spike. We are together because of my adopted mother and her blessing. I am happy to have you as my number one assistant and dragon friend in my life. I mean that I do not deserve amazing somebody such as you in my life too. Now, you have fun with your new gaming system. If you need me, I will be in my reading room after putting away groceries, sweetie,” Twilight replied with a soft tone as she wrapped one of her forelegs around her.

After a couple of moments later, Spike steadily stopped hugging her. His face had an extensive and handsome smile. His smile made her smile back to him.

“Okay, thank you, babe,”

Spike picked up the box from the bag that contained his new meaning of entertaining himself. Then he carried it to their bedroom. Meanwhile, Twilight watched him until she did not see him anymore. She went to the kitchen to put groceries away.

In their bedroom, Spike placed his new console box on their bed. One of his claws cut through its seal with a single swift movement. Then he opened it up before slowly taking everything out from inside it. After placing his system into one of the television stand’s vacant slots, he hooked up everything. With a single press of its power button, it turned on with no problem.

Spike went to his bean bag and sat in it. Then he turned on the television with its remote before grabbing a gaming controller. The television screen showed him the first menu of many to set his console up. This exact general menu setup was on every innovative technology that he got.

After a couple of quick moments, he completed its setup and created his account. Now, he waited for it to install the newest updates. A few automated restarts later, it booted up to its dashboard without any issue.

Spike changed its background to a picture of Twilight and him kissing each other on their balcony. Next, he created an avatar that was the ponifed version of himself. Now, his gaming console was personalized to the T for him.

He went to its online store to download a free game because a game was not included with his console. A couple of moments later, he found a small and simple game named Shaper HD. He downloaded it without checking on its star rating and comments. Spike did not realize that he had just made a big mistake now. Its installation process was fast due to his wifi speed.

The notification that appeared at the bottom of the screen told him. ‘Your game is finished installing.’ In a few seconds, it disappeared.

He pressed the A button on the game’s icon to start it. After watching unnecessary long producers’ logos slideshow, his ears were bombarded with annoying, generic happy music. The main game menu was semi-transparent over the game’s play area. It was looked like its creator did not put any effort into it.

Spike started the game on the easiest mode to try it out. The menu slowly vanished, and a how-to-play screen took its place. He read it and discovered this game was just a simple matching game, nothing anymore. He began to play it by making his first move. It was the movement of a single bright red to the middle of two identical pieces. New colors suddenly took their place. The latest row of red disappeared from existence.

After a few long moments of playing Shaper HD, his eyes started to feel like someone set them on the blaze. He assumed this feeling was caused by looking at this game’s neon colors.

He wisely chose to stop playing his gaming system before the feeling got worst. After saving his progress and turning the television/system off, he left their bedroom. He went to Twilight was and laid on top of her.

“I guess your eyes need a break from your new gaming console. So, you came to me to spend personal time with me, take a nap, etc.,“ She acquired, reading her new book.

“Yeah”

“This outcome will be your lesson about moderation. Gaming in short bursts is not harmful. However, it will be an eye burner in more extended time. We are going to bed early because I need to take care of you until your eyes stop hurting,” Twilight replied with a caring smile after booking the spot that she stopped reading her book.
