Prologue: Unspoken Wishes

After a long journey here, a white unicorn finally found the rumored cave of wishes. It has been said all that enter will have their greatest wishes fulfilled. And this white unicorn only had one wish in mind: To be able to know who her soulmate was. The white unicorn entered the cave and proceeded to it's inner sanctum.

"You have entered my domain." A voice called out before a bright light decended upon the area.

"What...is this light speaking to me?" The white unicorn asked.

"You are Rarity Belle, owner of the Carousal Boutique." The voice said.

"How...do you know that?" Rarity asked.

"I know this because I am the Creator. The very ground you walk on was crafted with my own powers. Though I only laid the building blocks for your planet. The buildings, houses, and other things I let fester of their own free will. I control nothing, but I create the basics of worlds then leave them to their own devices. But in case any who seek my advice were to appear, caves like this I leave behind. Waiting and willing to answer all questions." The voice said.

"Advice? So this is not a cave of wishes like the rumors suggested?" Rarity asked.

"And why on earth, would you want a wish?" The Creator asked.

"Well, it's just that, there's this dragon after me, and no matter how much I tell him no; even telling gently so; he still pines after me." Rarity said. "I came here to wish to know who it is that I would end up with; my soul mate if you would." She added.

"My power may be limitless, but I refuse to use it to help you find love. Nay, tis only you, yourself who can find the one who you are destined to be with forever. I will say this much on the matter at least: I can confirm you have already met the one you dare seek. And no, it is not the Dragon who pines for your heart; Spike the Dragon I believe. There is another who he is destined for, and he has no clue of it just quite yet. Even if you do." The Creator said.

"So then what can I do? Surely there must be some way for him to stop pining after me. He's a dragon that will live far longer then me. How can I stop him from chasing me and go for somepony else?" Rarity asked.

"Perhaps, I can still grant a wish of sorts for you. I normally don't do this, but I can tell that if things don't change, both him and his soulmate will forever be seperated. As such, I have no choice, my powers are required. But it is not your wish I shall grant." The Creator said.

"But then whose wish? Spike's wish? His wish would be to be married to me." Rarity said. She swore she could see the light shake side to side. It made her realize the light WAS The Creator. "Wait...are you..."

"My powers have grown so much, that I have no need for a physical form. But as for Spike's wish, well, I dare say that you misunderstand. I will grant a wish for him, just not the one he thinks he wants. After all, there are wishes that are wanted in secret, but are ones no one but the holder of said wishes know about. I call these wishes Unspoken Wishes. And Spike just so happens to have a particular one I could grant." The Creator siad.

Rarity's mind backtracked to earlier today.

"I'm sorry Spike, I'm just not interested in you as a lover. But it's sweet you have a crush on me, darling." Rarity said.

"Your only saying that because I'm not a stallion, aren't you? I bet if I was a stallion, you'd be all over me." Spike said and left her house. This was lead Rarity to the rumored Wishing Cave in the first place.

"Your going to make Spike into a stallion?" Rarity asked.

"I will not change one's age range. But I will do something for Spike. You'll have to wait until tomorrow to find that one out. All I ask is that you trust me." The Creator said.

"I hope I can." Rarity said. She left to go back home.

"She was on the right track with that guess, and while I could change Spike's age, the truth is is that changing one's age is against the very laws of nature. Of course, I created those laws and could change them if I wanted to, but I choose not to. After all, there needs to be a natural order to things or I'll be no better than if Discord was given this job. Only I could ever really truely do this job justice, admittedly. That Discord has no idea that this kind of power is not one that should be taken lightly. After all, chageing things on a whim like what I'm about to do, should only be done if it comes from the transformee's own heart." The Creator said.

That night, a bright light shined forth from the Wish cave just as Spike and Twilight were heading to bed, causing the baby dragon to glow.

"Another summon from the Dragon Lord? But you just solved that issue." Twilight noted.

"I don't think so. I don't feel warm." Spike said. The glow soon faded. "Huh...wonder what that was about?" The dragon asked.

"Well it's late. We can worry about that glow of yours in the morning." Twilight said and went to bed.

"But I'm not..." Spike said before he suddenly passed out on the spot.

"Spike? Huh...guess whatever that glow did just made him become seriously sleepy. Well, that's not really something to worry over." Twilight said. She used her magic to move Spike to his bed which soon gave off the same glow before fading. "Huh...odd. What's with the glow now? I hope I'm not next." Twilight said before waiting for a bit. Nothing else glowed. "I think it's over now." The purple unicorn said before falling asleep.

Neither the unicorn nor the dragon would be ready for what they would find when they woke up the next day.

Chapter 1: Pony Spike

"TWILIGHT; WAKE UP! I NEED HELP!"

A few minutes earlier...

Spike felt funny as he woke up. And it was wierd he woke up so early. A few minutes before Twilight even; a mare he considers his big sister. He groaned as he walked over to the mirror; too tired to notice his center of gravity had shifted. But when he looked into the mirror, all that tiredness vanished as he made sure he was seeing what he was seeing. And sure enough, he was. He was no longer a dragon, he was a Unicorn colt, no older than the Cutie Mark Crusaders if he had to guess correctly. This is what lead him to yell out right then and there.

"TWILIGHT; WAKE UP! I NEED HELP!"

"Spike? What's going..." Twilight woke up and saw Spike's new form. "Spike...is that...you?!" She exclaimed.

"Help me..." Spike said.

"Oh dear...I need to get a message to the Princesses. But how?" Twilight said. "I could try and teleport it over I suppose." She added. She wrote a letter to the Princess and was ready to teleport it when Spike in his panicked state, used a magic spell and it vanished.

"Whoops...sorry Twilight." Spike noted.

"It's fine, I'll just make..." Twilight said before suddenly both Celestia and Luna showed up. "...Whoa...how did you two know to come here?" The purple unicorn asked.

"You sent us a letter somehow. It wasn't through Spike's normal sending. Whose the young colt?" Celestia asked.

"Princess Celestia..." Spike said. This caused both royals to blink.

"Oh...maybe we should have read the letter." Celestia noted.

A few minutes later...

"So...anything?" Twilight asked.

"I'm sorry my dear student; no matter what spell I try, I cannot seem to make Spike go back to being a Dragon." Celestia said.

"The same applies with me I am afraid." Luna said.

"This sounds like something Discord would do just on a whim." Twilight said.

"But we felt no disturbance like him." Celestia said.

"Better to check..." Twilight said.

"Very well. Discord, your presence is required." Celestia said. Suddenly not only did Discord show up, but Fluttershy too.

"Okay come on, I was just enjoying an early morning tea with Fluttershy here." Discord said.

"Hello, am I invisable to you?" Spike asked.

"Spike? Is that you?" Fluttershy asked.

"Oh my, seems your little dragon friend has become your little pony friend. Hah! I've always wanted to say something like that." Discord said.

"Wha-what are you talking about? You mean you didn't do this?" Twilight asked.

"Please Twilight, even though I can rip the fabric of reality as I so choose to do so, tinkering with species is something I refuse to do intentionally or otherwise. Besides, I think seeing a dragon living amongst ponies is much more chaotic anyways." Discord said.

"I see. Well, perhaps you can change him back then?" Celestia asked.

"Consider that done." Discord said and snapped his fingers. But nothing happened. Discord tried some more. "...Now that's peculiar..." Discord said.

"Explain yourself, Draconiquis." Luna said.

"It seems my ability to effect Spike's species has become, as one would say, impossible. Not even my powers to effect reality as we know it seems to not effect his shape any more then the powers of the elements could." Discord said.

"But if Discord can't change Spike back, then who can?" Twilight asked.

"I suppose this will have to be something you will have to figure out on your own I'm afraid. Meanwhile, I will do some searching on my own." Celestia said. "If even Discord's powers can't change Spike's body, then we are dealing somepony or something with power much greater than even the elements of harmony." She added.

"But what on earth could that be, dear sister?" Luna asked.

"I don't know. I've never even heard of such a being. Whatever they may be, they are strong indeed." Celestia said.

"Guess I'll have to get used to living as a colt then. Unicorn and all." Spike said.

"Well there is some good news at least: Whatever you did with that spell can still teleport scrolls so you at least have that still." Twilight said. Spike decided to check his flanks just to be safe.

"Huh...speaking of scrolls..." The former dragon said. His flanks bore the cutie mark of a scroll.

"He already has a cutie mark? Then perhaps his form is tied to both that and the magics that caused this." Luna said.

"Agreed." Celestia said before the sisters left.

"Well, I guess I'll have to talk with Cherilee about this." Twilight said.

"Well...then I suppose I'll go hang out with the Cutie Mark Crusaders. I'm sure they'll understand things. Besides, I'm not even sure what this mark is even meant to symbolize." Spike said and then left.

Outside the window, Rarity gulped and then went back to her house.

"Oh dear...this is not good. When that creator thing said he'd grant a wish of Spikes, I didn't think Spike had a wish to be a pony period. I just hope nothing bad happens. I couldn't bear the thought of causing something bad to happen to Spike all because of my own selfish desires." Rarity said to herself. She resigned to herself to never mention this to anyone at all. Especially not Spike.

Chapter 2: Of Crushes & Crusaders

Spike was over at Rarity's place because Twilight wanted the library for herself to search for anything potential to help the former dragon turned colt.

"This kind of sucks. I wish I had at least been made into a stallion." Spike said.

"How many times do I need to tell you Spike? I just do not see you that way. And that's because I simply won't allow myself to do so." Rarity said.

"What's that supposed to mean Rarity?" Spike asked.

"It's because Spike, you remember how my sister practically disowned me prior to the Sisterhooves Social? Well, that made me realize that I can't go placing my own priorities above hers. And you? You were just too young for me. Even as a Dragon you were." Rarity explained. "Besides, Sweetie Belle she...told me she was crushing on you." She added. Spike's jaw dropped.

"Sweetie Belle has a crush on me?!" Spike exclaimed.

"...I'm lucky Sweetie Belle is out at School right now. Because she would have my head if she knew I told you. Please, do not tell her that I did so. And don't even bring it up around her. I'm the only pony she's told of this." Rarity said.

"I...I will. Still...wow..." Spike said. He couldn't believe it, Sweetie Belle had a crush on him? "So...what do I do now?" The unicorn colt asked.

"If you would be so kind, try and get to know her better, because I refuse to persue you when she already is. In fact, I prefer it if you would please, for my sake...try to move past your crush for me and go for her instead. It would mean everything." Rarity said.

"Rarity..." Spike said.

"Please?" Rarity pratically begged.

"...The element of generosity really chose someone worthy of it I guess, if you're willing to let me have a chance with your little sister." Spike said. "Well, thank you for telling me this. It...does help somewhat." The former dragon added and headed off.

"...Rarity, you better hope this doesn't get back to you..." Rarity said to herself.

Spike found his way to Sweet Apple Acres and the Crusader Clubhouse before knocking on the door. He had been here before yesterday so he knew the way. The crusaders agreed on helping him find out what his special talent was as even he was unsure what his cutie mark was supposed to be about. Sweetie Belle was the one who answered the door.

"Spike, it's you. I was wondering if you'd show up." Sweetie Belle said.

"Of course I would. I want to figure out what's up with this cutie mark of mine just as much as you guys." Spike said and came in.

"Just a simple scroll is so very vague if you ask me. I wish I could think of some kind of talent that relates to that off the top of my head." Scootaloo admitted.

"Hey, at least we'll figure this out together." Spike said. "Though I will say, this place is unnaturally unorganized..." He added.

"We haven't really been super focused on organization as much as we have trying to find our own cutie marks." Apple Bloom admitted.

"If you girls wouldn't mind, I'd be glad to help you organize this stuff. When you spend time around Twilight as much as I have you pick up a few things." The unicorn colt said before he started using his magic a bit. For some reason, Spike's magic came to him as naturally as breathing, but the former dragon didn't question it. The former dragon began organizing the clubhouse, while the Crusaders were huddled and whispering.

"So, is it just me or is Spike pretty cute for a cult?" Scootaloo asked.

"Are you serious right now?" Sweetie Belle asked.

"Ya have to admit, he's pretty cute like this." Apple Bloom said.

"Not you too, Apple Bloom." Sweetie Belle said. "You two both know in secret that I have a crush on him. And as good friends as you both are, I saw him first." She added.

"Chill Sweetie Belle; I wouldn't dream of snatching him away from you. Just...on the off chance things don't work out..." Scootaloo said.

"And what about Rarity? Is he going to continue to have his crush on her?" Apple Bloom asked.

"I hope not. I'll show Spike that I can be better for him then my sister. You'll see." Sweetie Belle said.

"I hope your right..." Scootaloo said.

"I know I'm right!" Sweetie Belle said and broke the huddle.

"...Ah don't think I've ever seen Sweetie Belle this determined before." Apple Bloom said.

"Me neither." Scootaloo said.

"So Spike, I was wondering...my sister's probably going to be busy this weekend. I was wondering if tomorrow, just you and me could...possibly get something from Sugar Cube Corner." Sweetie Belle said.

"Sure thing Sweetie." Spike said. It took everything Sweetie Belle had just to keep herself from shouting in glee and hugging the former dragon.

"Thank you Spike." Sweetie Belle said.

"You do realize tomorrow is Friday right?" Spike asked.

"I know. I just wanted to ask in advance." Sweetie Belle said.

"Well don't worry Sweetie Belle; I won't let Diamond Tiara try and manipulate me into dating her. I simply won't have it." Spike said.

"Thank you." Sweetie Belle said. She felt really good about the weekend now.

Chapter 3: Spike's feelings

"Spike are you...feeling okay?" Twilight asked the former dragon as she noticed he was a bit distracted today.

"I'm fine Twilight. I can't stop thinking about Sweetie Belle since yesterday." Spike said.

"It seems to me Spike, that you're growing up." Twilight said. "Ever since you've become a pony, you've seemed to have moved on from your crush from Rarity and decided to have a crush on Sweetie Belle instead." She added.

"I really had thought that I loved Rarity but being around Sweetie Belle...it makes me feel happier, and better." Spike said.

"I always knew the day would come when you'd find where you heart truly resides. Now more than ever, I really have to find a way to make you a dragon again." Twilight said.

"But...Twilight...that's just the thing..." Spike said.

"What do you mean that's just the thing?" Twilight said.

"If I'm to be as honest as applejack here, then I have to get this off my chest." Spike said. "I...kind of like the way I am now. I've grown so used to this new body that I kind of want to stay this way forever." He added.

"Spike..." Twilight said.

"Don't get me wrong, I still want to know what caused all this. But if and when we do find that something, please...please consider how I feel. Right now, the way I am...it feels right. Like it's something I've always wanted but never talked about verbally." Spike said.

"You really are growing up right before my eyes." Twilight said. "Alright Spike. I'll consider your feelings. Above all else, I want you to be happy. And if being a pony makes you the happiest, I'll take that into consideration." She added.

"Thank you, Twilight. You're the best big sister I've ever had." Spike said.

"Your welcome Spike." Twilight said. "Now run along; I have a feeling there's someplace you'd rather be right now." She added.

"You're right. Thanks Twilight." Spike said and ran off to go find Sweetie Belle. After he left, Rarity came in.

"Twilight, did Spike just run off to find my sister?" Rarity asked.

"Yes. Is something the matter?" Twilight asked.

"It's...nothing. It's just...I'm glad he's doing great." Rarity said and then left.

"...Maybe I should ask around Ponyville." Twilight noted and then went to ask around Ponyville.

"Ugh..." Diamond Tiara said as she sulked. She knew better right now, but she couldn't help but look at Sweetie Belle and Spike with jealousy. "...Maybe it's for the best..." The pink earth pony said and then went into the bathroom and looked at her reflection in the mirror. "...You just had to keep on the path you're on, huh?" she said to her own reflection. "You've more or less pushed everypony that's not Silver Spoon away thanks to your antics. You don't deserve a coltfriend. You never did. Your nothing; less than nothing!" Diamond Tiara said.

"Is somepony in there?" Came Apple Bloom's voice.

Apple Bloom... Diamond Tiara thought to herself. She turned the facet on and began splashing her face with water before drying her face off and prettying up her mane. Apple Bloom came in but then left. She went back in after Diamond Tiara left as well. But something seemed different about the usually bully centric filly, Apple Bloom had noticed. Something was wrong with the filly, something very wrong indeed.

"That's peculiar. Ah was right here and she just...walked past me as if I didn't exist. What's up with that? Ah know I shouldn't be bothered but..." Apple Bloom said. She then saw Scootaloo come in and Diamond Tiara was heading towards her.

"...Oh. It's you." Scootaloo said to the pink earth pony.

"...Can I just get past please? I'm not feeling in the mood to yell at you or anything right now." Diamond Tiara said. Scootaloo was confused but stepped aside anyways. "...Thank you..." Diamond Tiara said and left.

"...That's peculiar." Scootaloo noted.

"Ah know right, I was right outside the bathroom when she came out and she simply just walked past me." Apple Bloom said.

"Wait what?" Sweetie Belle and Spike had come over.

"Yeah, it's the weirdest thing. She asked me kindly to let her pass. No insults or anything of the sorts." Scootaloo said.

"But...wasn't our table on the way out?" Spike asked Sweetie Belle.

"It was. But I wouldn't have even known she had passed us because she...said absolutely nothing..." Sweetie Belle said.

"Something's going on with that filly..." Apple Bloom said.

"You can say that again." Scootaloo said.

"Maybe she's starting to have a change of heart?" Apple Bloom asked.

"This is Diamond Tiara we're talking about but then again...she was being rather off today..." Scootaloo said.

Diamond Tiara was soon home. She went into her dresser and then took out a photograph. She hugged the photograph tightly.

"I miss you...mother..." She said. In the picture was her father Spoiled Rich with her and a grown mare in manhatten. Written on the back of the picture frame was a message.

"In forever remembrance of Spoiled Rich; life taken by a drunk stallion in Manhatten" was the message written on that frame.

"Mother...I can't keep this up..." Diamond Tiara said. "I...I want friends. Real friends." She added. "You probably wouldn't approve of any of them but...I have to move on. Please, keep me strong at the least." Diamond Tiara said and then went straight to bed. There was a faded image of the mare in the photograph once Diamond Tiara was fully asleep. The faded mare just smiled.

"That's my girl..." A female voice said as a whisper. The faded mare vanished shortly after.

Chapter 4: Real Friends

"Such a cute little colt he's made. I'll be glad to include him in the school system." Cherilee said.

"Thank you, Miss Cheerilee." Twilight said.

"You don't have to give me a prefix if you don't want to. I may not be like Applejack or Fluttershy, but I would like to get to know you better. I really should do that as you are Celestia's student." Cherilee said.

"All the same, the kids treat you with respect." Twilight said. "You're the most well-liked teacher ever it seems." She added.

"Well, I'm...only doing what feels right." Cherilee said.

"Something up with Silver Spoon, I sort of ran into her on the way here, but she wasn't even talking. I wonder what's up with her." Scootaloo said. Suddenly Silver Spoon showed up pissed and pushed Scootaloo into mud.

"YOU BLANK FLANKS ARE GONNA PAY! DIAMOND TIARA STOPPED BEING MY FRIEND!" Silver Spoon said. But then the gray pony was pulled back.

"...Leave. Now." Diamond Tiara said. "This ends here. This is exactly the reason why I stopped being your friend. I don't know why I continued to let you talk me into bullying and belittling others." She added.

"Tch. We're better than these blank flanks." Silver Spoon said.

"Oh really? Then maybe you forgot what it was like." Diamond Tiara said. Suddenly Celestia showed up. "But perhaps you'd like a reminder instead." The pink earth pony said.

"Wh-what?" Silver Spoon asked.

"I won't let you continue to bully the Cutie Mark Crusaders. We weren't so different from them once; you know that right? We both did a lot of things to try and get our cutie marks. I know I did. And then I discovered that I do great with business stuff and got mine first. Then you come along and start being all high and mighty giving me ideas on how to talk down to others. Well, I don't want any more of it. Perhaps you need a reminder of what it was like." Diamond Tiara said.

"Am I...seeing what I think I'm seeing?" Sweetie Belle asked.

"If you're seeing Diamond Tiara defending us then...I'm seeing it too." Scootaloo said.

"Ah got nothing to add." Apple Bloom said.

"Me neither." Spike said.

"What are you talking about Deets?" Silver Spoon asked.

"You don't get to call me that anymore. Not unless you learn what it means to be a real friend for a change. I'm done with pretending this was okay. I'm done with bullying others. And I'm done not having real friends." Diamond Tiara said.

"But...I am a real friend." Silver Spoon said.

"No. No, you're not." Diamond Tiara said. "Your bullying of others needs to stop. I'm done with it. I'm done with faking it too." She added.

"...Am I not even going to get our usual thing?" Silver Spoon asked.

"Nope. You don't get sympathy for what you've been doing." Diamond Tiara said.

"But...what happens to me now?" Silver Spoon asked.

"That depends on you." Celestia said before casting a spell. "The spell I just cast will let me know the next time you bully someone. And that happens, you will glow, and you won't stop glowing until you are brought face first to me." The white alicorn explained. "And at that point well...I hate to do this to one of my own subjects, but I'll have to cast a spell to remove your cutie mark until you have learnt your lesson." She added. "So, consider this your last chance." The alicorn finished before leaving. Silver Spoon said nothing and went away.

"That...felt good." Diamond Tiara said before taking a deep breath but noticed the CMC and Spike looking at her. "...What? Oh...you...saw that and heard that...not what I was hoping for. Was hoping for this to be private. But I had to do something when I saw her attacking Scootaloo." The pink earth pony said, sheepishly.

"That...was...AWESOME!" Scootaloo said.

"I just...did what was right is all." Diamond Tiara said.

"Hey, if you want to you know...hang out sometime with us, we'll let you." Sweetie Belle said.

"Just no more secrets." Apple Bloom said.

"I...can't guarantee telling all my secrets. At least not yet. I'm not ready for that yet." Diamond Tiara said.

"When you're ready, we'll be waiting." Apple Bloom said.

"What? Why wait?" Scootaloo said.

"Please Scootaloo..." Sweetie Belle said. "I know she bullied us a lot, but she needs time to open up to us." She added.

"Oh...alright fine. But only because I owe her for getting Silver Spoon off me." Scootaloo said.

"I'll give you one freebie at least to show I'm serious: My father is all I've got for family right now." Diamond Tiara said.

"...Did not expect that." Scootaloo said, now suddenly singing a different tone. "I guess something happened with your mom to make her get cut out of your life." The pegasus filly said.

"Something like that. But that's all I'm saying regarding the subject. I'm...not fully ready to move past what happened right now." Diamond Tiara said.

"Hey, take your time." Spike said.

"Yeah. We'll be waiting." Sweetie Belle said, snuggeling against her crush. Diamond Tiara smiled.

"And one more thing..." Diamond Tiara said. "I was wrong to say he doesn't deserve you. But honestly, you deserve him a lot more than I do. I'll find my special somepony someday. I can wait." She added. "Right now, I just want to have real friends for a change." The pink earth pony filly said.

Chapter 5: Spike goes to school

"I'm really going to school, aren't I?" Spike said, as he and Twilight were outside Ponyville Elementry.

"Well, you'll be glad to know the Cutie Mark Crusaders will be in the same classes as you. Though that's mostly because Miss Cherilee wanted you to have some friends you know well help you through classes in case you struggle. But I doubt you will that much." Twilight said.

"Yeah. I have you as a big sister after all." Spike said. He then entered the schoolhouse; though before Twilight could leave, there was a bright glow coming from a nearby filly.

"OH, COME ON!" A female voice said. It belonged to Silver Spoon said. "All I said was that this colt's backpack was tacky." Silver Spoon added.

"But I made this backpack myself..." Twilight reconized that voice; it was Pipsqueak. "I worked really hard on it." The colt from trottingham said.

"How on Equestria was I supposed to know that?!" Silver Spoon asked. "If I had known that I wouldn't have criticized it so harshly." She added. The glow faded.

"I wonder what that's about..." Twilight said as she left completly.

"Okay, let me say this then: It's an interesting first attempt. You should focus on improving but it's not bad for your first attempt." Silver Spoon said.

"Thanks. I spent hours over the weakend to make this." Pipsqueak said.

"Eh...again, it's only your first creation. So I can't really judge you harshly. I'm just going to go now." Silver Spoon said.

"...Well seems like Silver Spoon avoided that one." Sweetie Belle said as she and the rest of the CMC approached Spike.

"Yeah. It seems Celestia's little spell needs a bit of fine tuning." Spike said.

"Trust me..." Diamond Tiara said as she approached the foursome. "It's only going to be a matter of time before she says the wrong thing and can't take it back. Trust me, I've been around her enough to know that." She added.

"So, what are you going to do?" Scootaloo asked.

"That depends. Do you three have any plans on cutie marks during school time?" Diamond Tiara asked.

"Why do you ask?" Apple Bloom asked.

"Just thought I'd tag along. I think it'd be something fun to try." Diamond Tiara said.

"Actually, we try not to do any cutie mark crusades during school. It'd upset our sisters." Sweetie Belle said.

"Well, their sisters, my aunts, and Rainbow Dash." Scootaloo said.

"Right. Keep forgetting your not really Rainbow Dash's sister." Diamond Tiara said. "Which is funny because I can't help but smile at how alike the two of you are. I really hope to see you fly up high in the sky, and maybe even something akin to a sonic rainboom someday." She added. That made Scootaloo's eyes go wide.

"You...you think I can do that?" Scootaloo asked.

"I don't just think, I know." Diamond Tiara said.

"Th-that's...geez..." Scootaloo said. "Okay, I need you to say something really bad now." She added.

"...What? Scootaloo, your scaring me now." Diamond Tiara said.

"This is going to take some getting used to I think is what Scootaloo is going for." Apple Bloom said.

"She'll have to; I don't plan on hurting your feelings if I can help it. I actually want to be your friend. And so what if I have a cutie mark before you three do? I still want to hang out with you girls." Diamond Tiara said.

"I...I can't...this is..." Scootaloo started rubbing her eyes. "This is too beautiful." She added.

"There there..." Diamond Tiara said, conforting Scootaloo. "Just cry it out." The Pink filly said.

"I...I shouldn't be crying..." Scootaloo said. Just then, a pegasus colt came up to her.

"H-hey, are you okay?" He asked.

"I-I'm fine...I just..." Scootaloo said.

"Your Scootaloo right? My name is Rumble." The colt said. "Did something happen?" He asked.

"Oh, she's just having trouble processing the fact that I'm trying to be a good person now is all." Diamond Tiara said. "And I personally don't blame her." She added.

"I see..." Rumble Said. "Class is about to start. We'll talk later." He added and left.

"He seems nice." Apple Bloom said.

"Nice? The last colt that was nice to me ended up using me. But...something feels different about him." Scootaloo said. "I just...felt different with him." She added.

"Wanna know a secret? Even though I like to act just as tough as you do, sometimes I too just feel like crying." Diamond Tiara said. "Funny thing huh? I'm a diamond and yet I can easily break. It's sad but true." She added as everyone went to do class.

Not much happened in class that day outside of Spike's introduction to the class. Once it was taking care off, everyone did some math stuff. Spike was really good at doing math though, easily breezing through it. And now it was time for Scootaloo to meet with Rumble.

"So, what did you want to talk to me about? I said I was fine." Scootaloo said.

"This isn't about that. I'm just wondering if you had any plans this weekend." Rumble said.

"Wait, are you asking me out on a date?" Scootaloo asked.

"I think your cool and amazing in your own way Scootaloo; even if you have trouble with your emotions from time to time. And I know we don't really know each other all that well. But I'm hoping you'll take the time to get to know me, because I want to help you." Rumble said.

"I don't need any help." Scootaloo said.

"You say that, but I was too stubborn to ask for help when it came to me flying and it wasn't until I almost died trying that I decided to stop being so stubborn. I can help you get in the air if you'll let me. I don't want you to almost die trying to fly like I did." Rumble Said.

"Well...okay. But only because I really want to get on Rainbow Dash's level as soon as I can." Scootaloo said.

"Great! See you this saturday! Until then, don't be a stranger." Rumble said before leaving.

"...I...don't know why I lowered my guard just then. But it felt right..." Scootaloo said.

Author's Note

Yeah I'm such a big fan of Rumbleloo (Rumble & Scootaloo). It's quickly becoming one of the high ranking "ships I will write about" because I've read a lot of good stories featuring the Rumbleloo ship lately.

Chapter 6: The Cave of Wishes

"I finally have a lead." Celestia said. "It seems rumors state that there was someone who went to make a wish at what some ponies call the Cave of Wishes." She added. Rarity was keeping a straight face, but she was panicking inside.

"So, we're going to be going there then?" Twilight asked.

"Yes. And hopefully, we can figure out what was done to cause Spike to become the way he is now." Celestia said.

"Well then, we better take the CMC with us." Spike said as he came down. "Because you know they'll try something if we just leave them here." He added.

"I...can't argue with that." Twilight said.

"You sure you're not trying to also get closer to Sweetie Belle?" Rarity asked.

"Oh that's just icing on the cake. But seriously, you should know your sister and her friends enough to know we should take them with." Spike said.

"...He's got a point Rares..." Applejack said.

"Besides, thanks to that Rumble Colt, Scootaloo's able to do some flying now." Rainbow Dash said. "And I'll be looking after her on the way." She added.

"But if the three of them are going, Diamond Tiara will want to come too." Rarity said.

"So? I'll look after her." Twilight said.

"A wise decision, Twilight." Celestia said.

It was a long and harsh journy, but eventually the group found the mysterious cave of wishes.

"Here it is, the cave of wishes. Finally, we can get some answers." Princess Celestia said. The group entered the cave.

"It's a bit dark in here..." Sweetie Belle said.

"Don't worry Sweetie Belle, I'm here." Spike said with a smile.

"Th-thanks. I'm glad you are." Sweetie Belle said.

"Plus, we've got one of the Princesses with us; if any pony or animal tries to attack us, she'll just blast them into next week." Diamond Tiara said.

"Hey, I was going to say that!" Scootaloo said.

"Oh...I'm...I'm sorry..." Diamond Tiara said.

"...Don't apologize. You don't need to." Scootaloo said with a smile. She was still getting used to this new Diamond Tiara it seemed.

"I was wondering when you would show up, Celestia." A voice said.

"Who speaks to me?" Celestia said. Suddenly a giant ball of light appeared. "...What...are you?" Celestia asked.

"What am I you ask? I am a being that has transcended the need for a physical form..." The voice from before said before suddenly the ball of light took on the form of an Alicorn Stallion. "But perhaps, you would rather I speak to you like this." The voice added, though the stallion was the one from where the voice came from as his mouth moved.

"Wow, this is so fascinating! I have so many questions, but I think I shall start with a simple one..." Twilight said. "Who are you?" She asked.

"Many mortals like yourselves call me many things. While my original name has been lost to the passage of time, all the names' people call me are accurate: God of creation, father of earth, the creator god...the names change, who I am does not change. As such, when I meet people, I prefer that they call me The Creator. For of all the names that I have been given, that is the name that speaks to me the most." The Being before them said.

"So, why are you here then? Also, your awesome." Rainbow Dash asked. The Creator Chuckled.

"Thank you for the comment, young Pegasus. As to answer your question, this what you ponies have called the Cave of Wishes is but one of my many Connection Caves. In other worlds that I; myself; have laid the base sculpting for, I leave one of these caves behind. Therefore, one world calls them the Caves of the Creator God." The Creator Said.

"So, do you actually grant wishes then?" Twilight asked.

"I only do so to those who come here for noble purposes. One such pony came by a while back now. While I will not tell you who they were, I will tell you that I could not grant their wish. Upon hearing this news, they asked if there was someone else's wish that I could grant instead. The result of that, is one you have already seen." The Creator said.

"Spike? He wanted to be turned into a Pony?" Twilight asked.

"Sometimes the wishes that we want granted are the wishes that we only ever tell ourselves and keep bottled up inside. So, I simply granted Spike's wish. He has always felt like he's a pony trapped in a Dragon's body ever since he became just old enough to be a young colt should he have been born a pony." The Creator said. "All I really did was grant that wish for him." He added.

"I see...then I have no problems with that." Twilight said. "Spike has grown used to his new body. I will not take that away from him." She added. "Plus, he seems happier this way." The purple unicorn concluded.

"You have learnt much, young unicorn." The Creator said.

"That's all well and good, but could you please turn Spike back into a Dragon now?" Celestia asked.

"I cannot. Only Twilight can cast the wish to do that, and she has refused. Tell me something, Princess Celestia, how good do you think your odds are at beating me; the very being that created the very ground you walk on; in a one-on-one fight while also keeping your student as your student?" The Creator asked. Celestia's face dropped. "That's what I thought. You should save your strength anyways. I sense that you will need it soon." The Creator said.

"Well then everypony, we are out of here!" Twilight said. "But um...Creator? What was that about Celestia keeping me as her student?" She asked.

"That will be revealed to you when the time is right." The Creator said.

"Fair enough." Twilight said and then everyone left.

"Oh I hope I didn't reveal too much to them. Or too little. I suppose I will have to keep an eye on things just in case for a little longer..." The Creator said to no one but himself.

Epilogue: Into the Future

Luster Dawn's eyes went wide.

"So...that's why Spike and Sweetie Belle live here with you..." Luster Dawn said. Princess Twilight nodded.

"The other founding members of the Cutie Mark Crusaders; Apple Bloom and Scootaloo; do visit from time to time." Princess Twilight said. "Even if there have been more members since those three. Mainly their children though." She added.

"So, I'm guessing at some point Apple Bloom and Diamond Tiara got married as well? Those two seem very close, just like Lyra and Bon Bon down in Ponyville." Luster Dawn said.

"Very good eye Luster Dawn. That's the same reason why Rumble and Scootaloo are often seen together as well." Princess Twilight said.

"So, how'd Spike get the ability to switch between his Dragon and Pony forms?" Luster Dawn asked.

"No one is quite sure; it seemed to have just happened during the battle against King Sombra. Our first battle that is. Though, Spike still very much prefers his pony form." Princess Twilight said. "Though, after doing research, I found that Spike's breed of dragon is one whose lifetime is tied to their one true mate. Which, may explain why it's so easy for him to switch since he's been so attached to Sweetie Belle." She added.

"I hope I can one day find a special someone like Spike someday." Luster Dawn said. "Oh that reminds me..." She added. "I read about this new spell and wanted to try it out. Want to see?" The unicorn asked.

"Oh Luster...sometimes you remind me too much of myself at your age." Princess Twilight said.

"Don't worry Princess, I've been making plenty of friends so far. I just...haven't really found anything new regarding friendship since the last report. I've mostly just either been hanging out with my friends or finding new spells." Luster Dawn said.

"I see...in that case, would you like to show me this new spell of yours?" Princess Twilight asked.

"Of course Princess. Here I go..." Luster Dawn said and began casting the spell.

The...end?
