Equestria Girls The Gargantuas: Monster Island

Chapter 1: Sanda and Gaira the Gargantuas

Sanda and Gaira the Gargantuas

The world of Equestria was currently inhabited by giant creatures that, through a powerful device intended to destroy them, had inadvertently transported them to a world filled with magic and wonders. However, despite what one may initially think of a situation like this, the kaiju and the ponies got along surprisingly well. However, a similar story was about to play out in another world. A third world that was connected to Equestria. And just like Equestria, this world will soon be payed a visit from the gigantic visitors!

...

The sun shined brightly in the blue sky as a few seagulls flew above the ocean, where the large cruise liner, named the Luxe Deluxe, sailed across the peaceful waters. It was spring break, and the Mane Seven and several of their Canterlot High School classmates were on this luxury cruise liner that features an expansive selection of activities from swimming pools to petting zoos to all-you-can-eat buffets, and this was all thanks to Twilight Sparkle's human counterpart for organizing it. Having battled the demonic form of Sunset Shimmer before she reformed, the three sirens (also known as the Dazzlings), Adagio Dazzle, Aria Blaze & Sonata Dusk, Twilight's human counterpart when she went insane due to absorbing Equestrian magic, as well as Gloriosa Daisy for the same reasons, most of the Mane Seven were looking to make the most of this vacation, as it has been quite exhausting saving their world from the magic that leaked from Equestria and over to their world. During their battle against the magic-empowered Gloriosa in Camp Everfree, the Mane Seven gained new magical powers that were tied directly to seven crystal necklaces they found there, each having a different power:

Twilight had telekinetic powers, Rarity gained the ability to create crystal constructs, Applejack gained super strength, while Rainbow Dash gained super speed. Fluttershy acquired the ability to directly talk to all animals, Pinkie gained the power to make sweets and sugary foods explode with her physical touch, and Sunset gained the power to read minds and emotions of others via touching them.

"SPRIIIIIIIIIING BREEEEEEEEEEAK!" The human counterpart of Pinkie Pie cried out in excitement, startling and annoying Rarity nearby. Pinkie then started going around and popping up everywhere in the lounge area, shouting 'Spring Break!' and startling or annoying the cruise patrons as they tried to relax.

After having her fun, Pinkie joined up with Rainbow Dash, Fluttershy, Sunset Shimmer, Twilight Sparkle, Rarity and Applejack, who were at the edge of the Luxe Deluxe. Fluttershy was comforting Applejack, who was suffering from sickness and nausea caused by the motion of the ship at sea, while Twilight was reading the cruise brochure.

" 'Welcome aboard the Luxe Deluxe, where you'll set sail for a full week of luxurious luxuriating on our most deluxe luxury liner!' " Twilight read the cruise brochure.

"Ooh! Sounds... luxurious." Fluttershy commented after finding the right word.

"Did you see there's a petting zoo onboard?" Twilight asked excitedly.

"Mmmm! Smoothies!" Pinkie arrived with her arms filled with smoothies, which she handed over one to Rainbow Dash.

"And an all-you-can-eat dessert buffet you can... eat all you... can eat at?" Twilight had a little trouble pronouncing the last few words, but managed anyway.

Pinkie screamed in excitement. "Twilight, this cruise has everything! And a moving floor!" She commented on the shaky ship deck, which made Applejack even more sick as she tried to hold back her barf.

"I think I may have forgotten to pack my sea legs." Applejack commented uneasily before getting even more sick when Pinkie offered her a smoothie. Twilight and Sunset were looking worried about Applejack's condition.

"Thank you for organizing this trip, Twilight." Sunset turned to her friend and smiled.

"I've gotta hand it to ya. You really have an eye for climactic battle settings!" Rainbow happily exclaimed.

This statement, however, caught the other girls by surprise. "Huh?" They all asked in unison, looking at Rainbow Dash in confusion.

"Imagine going head to head with a sea monster by the pool!" Rainbow exclaimed, imagining a reptilian sea monster emerging from the ocean and attacking the Luxe Deluxe in her mind. "Ka-chow! Evil Equestrian magic flows up the diving pool! The boat's sinking! Everyone's screaming! And then we save the day!" As Rainbow played the scenario in her mind, her friends looked at her in shock and uneasiness.

"Oh. Is the sea monster okay in the story?" Fluttershy timidly asked.

"Better than okay!" Rainbow finished her smoothie. "She's our friend now! Best spring break ever!" Her excitement was cut short once she noticed that her friends are not sharing her idea, with Twilight and Fluttershy even looking worried.

"Or we could do... not that." Sunset suggested, which earned her the approval of her friends.

"I was hoping we could do something without... having to battle Equestrian magic for a change?" Twilight gently said, putting a hand on Rainbow's shoulder.

"We couldn't even spend the day at Equestria World without creatin' a calamity." Applejack explained.

"Which we then uncalaminated, like literal awesome superheroes!" Rainbow yelled out, making Twilight frown.

There was a moment of awkward silence before Rarity stepped up to talk to Twilight. "Twilight, this is a most deserved respite. We're all very thankful for the chance to relax and do absolutely nothing." The rest of her friends were quick to agree with her, which made Rainbow feel disappointed at their unenthusiasm.

Rarity then heard her phone vibrate, and when she checked it out, she screamed out and panted in shock. Seeing this, Rainbow quickly took a fighting stance "What is it? Evil magic?!"

"A GPS alert!" Rarity cried out. "We're in international waters!"

At first Rainbow was equally-shocked... but then she took the time to think this through. "What does that mean?" She asked genuinely.

"Tax-free shopping!" Rarity exclaimed in excitement before running off to the clothing store. With that, the other girls went their separate ways, leaving Rainbow disappointed and annoyed.

...

In the Luxe Deluxe buffet room, Pinkie bursted into the room with an extremely excited look, staring at all the delicious snacks in the room.

"Ooh! Honey walnut crisp! Candy-coated cupcakes! Banana sorbet delight!" She exclaimed out loud, impressed by the buffet spread. "Triple Choco-Berry Blasted Butter Biscuit Bundt Cake?! I waited my whole life to taste a cake like this!" However, her excitement died down when she realized her favorite food was not here. "NOOOOO!"

"Excusez moi, mademoiselle. How about one fresh from ze oven?" A female chef with a French accent, named Puffed Pastrey, appeared before Pinkie, offering her the freshly-baked cake that Pinkie was looking forward to. Pinkie's horror immediately turned to excitement at the sight of the freshly-baked cake. However, as Puffed took a spatula for the cake...

"Hee-yah!" Using her super speed, Rainbow ran in and tackled Puffed Pastrey. The bunted cake went flying through the air, and smashed into the face of a random cruise patron.

"Mon gâteau {My cake!}!" Puffed Pastrey cried out in shock at the sight of her ruined cake. Realizing her mistake, Rainbow Dash grinned sheepishly as Puffed Pastrey became furious. In a fit of rage, Puffed shoved both Rainbow Dash and Pinkie Pie out of the buffet before closing the doors.

Rainbow laughed nervously. "You saw it. She had a... a... spatula. So... you're welcome." Pinkie simply folded her arms and glared at her friend.

...

Fluttershy was exploring the Luxe Deluxe's petting zoo, which was filled with all kinds of small animals, from baby goats, to rabbits, to hamsters, to small songbirds. The children were playing with the baby goats nearby, while Fluttershy herself couldn't help but feel slightly impressed by the fact that there were goats here.

"A goat on a boat?" She asked to herself before laughing humorously. "Now I've seen everything." She turned to the nearby rabbits and petted them. One of the rabbits said something which Fluttershy understood because of her ability to talk to animals. "You have forty-two grandchildren? Wow, Mr. Bouncy, that is impressive! I'd love to meet them."

"Not today!" Rainbow cried out as she suddenly pulled Fluttershy away from the rabbits, much to everyone's confusion. "Sure, he seems cute and cuddly now. But have you seen what a magic-infused evil rabbit can do?" Everyone, both human and animal, turned to Rainbow Dash in surprise and confusion .

"Um... eat carrots?" Fluttershy guessed off the top of her head.

"Yeah... evil carrots!" Rainbow pointed an accusing finger at the rabbits, prompting them to quickly speed away from her and Fluttershy, along with the other animals, which made the children in the room frown at Rainbow Dash. Fluttershy placed a hand on her forehead, getting a headache from her friend's nonsensical thinking.

...

Applejack was wandering queasily along the deck of the ship, still feeling seasick. The sight of people eating cooked shrimp made her feel even worse as she tried her best to hold it in.

"What's up, AJ?" Rainbow asked, spotting Applejack.

Seeing her friend, Applejack quickly tried to hide her seasickness, but this decision would prove a little too much for her.

"You can't talk?" Rainbow asked in concern.

Applejack gestured 'no' with her hands, but Rainbow did not appear to understand what she was trying to say.

"Evil magic stole your voice?!" Rainbow gasped.

Applejack was now starting to get really annoyed, only for Rainbow to suddenly grab her by the arms and start violently shaking her to expel the 'evil magic'. "Out, evil spirits! Out!"

This proved too much for the poor farmer, who pushed Rainbow away and barfed over the side of the ship.

"Or you're seasick. Heh." Rainbow took a moment to think before... "Because of evil magic?!"

Applejack responded by turning and angrily glaring at Rainbow Dash before wiping her mouth, prompting the latter to finally get the memo and grin with embarrassment. "Or not. Heh."

...

Meanwhile, Rarity entered the cruise's shopping area and was beyond delighted at the sights of all the wonderful shirts, jackets and hoodies, hats, and shoes on display. Wasting no time, she quickly began going around and buying as many clothes as possible, and taking her time to look at herself in the mirror while trying out each and every clothing. She even bought star-shaped pillows and key chains. After buying everything she found worthy of her attention (which was a lot), Rarity went to purchase her pile on the counter.

"Nine ninety-nine?" Rarity giggled, proud of her own spending. "My savvy shopping smarts strike again! Here's ten."

The employ took Rarity's 10-dollar bill and tossed her a penny. Rarity comically tried to catch the penny, but it slipped out of her grasp and landed on the floor. When the penny fell on the floor and Rarity tried to pick it up, another hand touched it — and by extension, her hand, as well. Looking up, Rarity saw a handsome-looking fellow with bright orange skin, named Ragamuffin, who also appeared to be an employ on the Luxe Deluxe.

"By golly, that's real copper, it is! Blooming delightful!" He said with a Cockney accent before noticing Rarity staring innocently at him. "A... penny for your thoughts, miss?"

Blushing, Rarity looked away shyly. "Oh, you can't afford my thoughts." She stammered and laughed.

Ragamuffin chuckled at her joke. "Quite right. Lovable scamp like meself." With that, he helped Rarity off the floor and noticed her purchase pile. "Ol' Ragamuffin, that's me name, innit? Uh, need a 'and?"

"Uh, Ragamuffin? I'm Rarity." She introduced herself before handing Ragamuffin her bags.

"Uh, Raar-it-ee?" Ragamuffin (unsuccessfully) tried to pronounce Rarity's name.

"Uh, no-no-no-no-no. Rarity."

" Rarr-it-ee?"

"Close enough." Rarity sighed.

...

Sunset, Twilight, Fluttershy, Applejack, and Pinkie Pie have gathered in their Rainboom stage, waiting for Rainbow and Rarity to arrive. Twilight was feeling a little uneasy about this, as she was pacing left and right. Applejack, Fluttershy, and Pinkie Pie looked miserable, which concerned Twilight and Sunset quite a bit.

Twilight then tried to lighten the mood by telling a joke. "Look at us! Getting ready to play at a pool party! Who knows what hijinks will ensue, am I right? Maybe I'll fall in the pool fully clothed! And everyone will laugh!" She smiled awkwardly. "Are you not having fun?"

Pinkie sighed. "My whole life, I've been taught that you could only berry blast a butter biscuit on a bundt cake with two layers of chocolate. But this afternoon, I saw the truth. The buffet has a Triple Choco-Berry Blasted Butter Biscuit Bundt Cake."

"How was it?" Twilight asked.

"I don't know! 'Cause Rainbow Dash got me banned from the buffet!" Pinkie yelled in frustration.

"What?!"

"She also scared the animals in the petting zoo. Now they don't want pets." Fluttershy whimpered. "It's just a zoo."

"She sure wasn't helpin' me not get sick off the side of the boat." Applejack inquired, still feeling seasick.

"But you're still having fun, right?" Twilight asked with a hopeful tone.

"Oh, of course." Fluttershy lied.

"Yeah." Pinkie sarcastically answered.

Applejack couldn't even say anything as she gagged, again trying no to barf, and ran off.

"I'm sorry, everyone." Twilight felt guilty at the sight of her friends feeling miserable.

"It's not your fault." Sunset tried to comfort her, but with no success.

At this point, Rainbow Dash came running to the stage, unaware of how her friends were feeling. "Hey, gang! Sorry I'm late! So, listen. I've got an idea for our show tonight! We unleash some awesomeness on the crowd! I'm talkin' rainbow lasers!"

"Is that a thing?" Sunset asked, not sure what to think of it.

"Yeah! When we—"

"Do you mean when we turn into ponies or do you mean—?" Pinkie interrupted her.

"No! The other thing!"

"I always called that "pony up"." Sunset commented.

"The rainbow lasers!" Rainbow Dash exclaimed.

"I don't think that's a thing." Fluttershy quietly said.

"It will be after we do it tonight! Who's with me?" Rainbow pumped her arm in excitement, only for, once again, no one to agree with her.

"Rainbow Dash, can I talk to you for a second?" Sunset quietly asked.

"Sure."

Taking a deep breath, Sunset began thinking of a way to say this without hurting her friend's feelings. "Twilight worked really hard to plan this trip for all of us, and... uh, how can I say this without being mean?"

"Just say it! I can take it!" Rainbow said confidently.

"You're ruining it for everyone!" Sunset finally said it.

Contrary to what she thought, Rainbow felt genuinely hurt by the harsh words. "Ouch! Your words just... punched my feelings."

"You said you could take it." Sunset pointed out. "Just stop looking for a problem when there isn't one. How's that?"

Rainbow looked away and begrudgingly agreed. A light laughter turned everyone's attention to Rarity, who entered the concert stage area with Ragamuffin right behind her, carrying her bags.

"Hello, darlings!" Rarity happily said.

"Where have you been?" Twilight asked.

"'Avin' a li'l chat with ol' Ragamuffin, she was!" Ragamuffin pointed at himself. As he said this, Applejack returned and stood next to him, prompting everyone to immediately notice the uncanny (and slightly bizarre) similarities between Applejack and Ragamuffin. "All right, all right. Thanks for ev'rything, Rarit-y."

Rarity sighed and blushed giddily.

"Good luck for all that music an' whatnot." Ragamuffin shook hands with Applejack, once again making her sick, before waving them goodbye. "Cheers!"

"It's like he fell out of a historical romance novel." The love-struck Rarity commented.

"Is that how romance sounds?" Fluttershy asked, genuinely confused.

...

As the Luxe Deluxe continued sailing across the ocean, the sun slowly set on the cruise and a storm began brewing over it. However, unbeknownst to anyone aboard the Luxe Deluxe, something beneath the ocean water was carefully watching and studying the cruise ship with hunger-filled eyes. After a little while, the mysterious creature slowly began swimming upwards towards the ship, ready to start attacking.

...

Back aboard the cruise, the cruise girls were setting up the snack tables while the crewmen carried the loud speakers in place, all in preparation for the Rainbooms' concert. Rainbow Dash set the microphone and began singing, while the other girls started playing their respective instruments.

"Get in the groove~

You bring your dancing shoes~

I'll bring the attitude~

You bring the crew so we can move~

Light up the floor~

Turn up the bass~

Yeah, let me see that smile on your face~

Come on and go with the flow~

Gonna steal the show, yeah~"

The cruise patrons began approaching the stage, and started dancing and cheering at the Rainbooms's awesome song.

"Let me show you how it goes~

'Cause it's all, all, all, all good~

I feel abso-absolutely amazing~

'Cause it's all, all, all, all good I feel abso-absolutely amazing~"

But the cruise patrons were not the only ones who were listening to the Rainboom's song. While playing her keytar, Rarity started feeling something brushing against her leg, making her ticklish.

"Hehe. Spike, stop it! That tickles!" She giggled.

"Rarity, Spike's not here. I left him home with our other pets, remember?" Twilight, who heard this, suddenly said.

This realization caused Rarity to freeze in place. If Spike was not touching her, then who was? Looking down, Rarity nearly fainted at what she saw; A very long and muscular tentacle was wrapped around her leg, it suckers touching her skin. Rarity's stood there for a moment, unmoving and allowing this to sink in. Then, her left eye began twitching slightly. "AHHHHH!" Her loud cry caused the music and entire performance to cease, prompting everyone to turn their attention to the bizarre scene. "Ew, ew, ew, ew, ew! Gross! Gross! Gross!" Rarity managed to kick the tentacle off of her.

But unfortunately for her - as well as everyone else - the horror was just beginning. More gigantic tentacles with suckers underneath began rising from the water, each one nearly as long as the entire cruise itself, which also begin surrounding the Luxe Deluxe. It wasn't long before the owner of these tentacles also emerged from the water, and said owner was a gigantic octopus. It resembled a normal octopus, with the only exception being that it was as large as the Luxe Deluxe itself. It also went by the name, Oodako.

The cruise patrons and the Mane Seven stared at Oodako in shock and disbelief, unable to comprehend what they were seeing. Sure, they have had their fair share of magical anomalies involving Equestria, but this was something even they needed to draw the line in terms of weirdness. While the Mane Seven held their ground, the rest of the cruise patrons bursted into a panic. They screamed and began running around like crazy, which only served to entice the giant octopus, who was ready to start eating people.

"Oh, yeah! A monster attack!" Rainbow exclaimed out loud, happy that her dream may come true, after all. "Though a giant octopus isn't exactly what I had in mind, it's close enough."

"Just so you know Rainbow Dash, I'm blaming you for this!" Rarity angrily accused. This was suppose to be a relaxing vacation for her to enjoy, but Rainbow's enthusiasm about fighting Equestrian magic just had to ruin it.

"We can complain about that later! Right now, we have more important things to worry about!" Sunset pointed at Oodako, who was snatching some of the cruise patrons with its tentacles. With definitive nods, the Mane Seven ponied up (as Sunset put it), gaining pony-like traits, including actual ears, wings, and hair extensions resembling tails when viewed from the front. After transforming, they quickly sprinted into action to stop the giant cephalopod!

A tentacle wrapped around Lyra and tried to pull her into the water while Sweetie Drops is holding her friend by the hands, desperately trying to keep her safe. Pouring some sprinkles in her hand, Pinkie ignited it with her magic and throws a sprinkle fireball at the tentacle. The resulting explosion caused significant pain to Oodako, prompting it to release Lyra.

Another tentacle wrapped around Sandalwood's leg and tried to pull him overboard, but Applejack stepped in to stop it. Thanks to her super strength, Applejack raised her foot and stomped on the tentacle hard, causing it to immediately unwrap and retreat into the water. Using both her super speed and ability to fly, Rainbow effortlessly rescued countless more civilians from Oodako's tentacles. While elsewhere, Rarity used her own special ability to create a large diamond-like shield to protect several other cruise patrons from the attacking tentacles. Twilight, meanwhile, used her telekinesis to levitate as many people to safety as possible, away from the reach of the giant octopus.

While their friends were busy rescuing the people from the tentacles that were trying to pull them overboard, Fluttershy and Sunset Shimmer raced to the edge of the deck where Oodako's head was located, to hopefully communicate with it and convince it to leave them alone.

"Um... Excuse me Mr. Giant Octopus..." Fluttershy called out gently, turning Oodako's attention to their presence. "Yes..um, could you please let everyone go and just swim away?" She asked innocently.

Responding to her request, the giant octopus produced several strange noises and clicking sounds. Sunset didn't understand what they meant, but Fluttershy got a very disturbed look on her face. "What did he say, Fluttershy?" Sunset asked.

"He said he's really hungry, and that we all look very tasty." Fluttershy paused for a moment. "Especially you, Sunset."

"Wait, what?!"

Rising two tentacles, Oodako was about to snatch Sunset and Fluttershy, who begin screaming in terror. But in a twist of irony, just as it was about to do that, Oodako was caught off-guard when something below suddenly pulled it under the water vehemently and abruptly! The tentacles that were trying to capture and pull people into the water ceased their assault as they themselves were pulled underneath the waves by the unknown force, leaving the Mane Seven dumbfounded as to what just happened: One moment they were fighting a giant octopus, the next it was gone.

After a few minutes of silence, Rainbow finally decided to speak. "So... any idea what just happened?"

Right before her friends could respond or do anything else, something exploded form the water near the Luxe Deluxe! And that 'something' was Oodako locked in a battle against another giant creature. What caught everyone's attention the most was the psychical appearance of the second monster: It was humanoid in shape, and was nearly the same size as the Luxe Deluxe itself. Its body was covered in a coating of green-colored fur or hair from the top of its flat head to its feet below. Its skin and fur were a greenish color, and its fur somewhat resembled seaweed. The creature also had a mouth filled with sharp teeth that sported a pair of fangs which protruded from its lower jaw, with pointed ears on the sides of its head, and eyes filled with nothing but hate and aggression. This monster was known as the Green Gargantua: Gaira!

The Mane Seven, along with everyone else in the Luxe Deluxe, could hardly believe their eyes. And here they thought a giant octopus was where draw the line, but this new monster proved there was far more room for weirdness than even they could have anticipated.

"Okay, what exactly are we looking at?" Sunset finally spoke, unsure what to think of this.

"It's the Jolly Green Giant!" Pinkie suddenly exclaimed with her usual enthusiasm.

"From the looks of it, it seems to be some kind of hominid, or a creature closely resembling a hominid." Twilight, being the scientific and logic-minded, said as she studied Gaira carefully, unsure what to think of this strange creature. Even after her experience with real magic, this giant humanoid that was fighting the giant cephalopod made her rethink everything she's learned so far.

Oodako tried to restrain and constrict Gaira with its many tentacles. Yet, despite its best effort, Gaira was still far too strong, and one by one, he easily pulled the tentacles off of himself! Slowly but surely, Gaira began overpowering Oodako — but right before he could win, the giant octopus sprayed black ink in the Gargantua's face, blinding him! Gaira roared in rage and placed his hands on his face, giving Oodako the opportunity to escape into the now-darkened water. After regaining his sight, Gaira quickly tried to catch the giant octopus, but Oodako had already swam too deep for the Gargantua to catch up.

Disappointed and annoyed, Gaira now turned his attention to the Luxe Deluxe. The Mane Seven and the rest of the cruise patrons tensed up — having witnessed this huge creature battle and defeat the giant octopus would keep anyone on their toes. The Mane Seven in particular felt like they've just jumped from the frying pan, only to land into the fire. Fluttershy was especially worried because judging by the look in its face, Gaira also looked pretty hungry himself. There was a moment of silence in the air as the two parties stared at each other. After what the Mane Seven could describe as hours (which, in actuality, was only a two minutes), Gaira finally made his move. But the move he made surprised them all: Instead of attacking, the Gargantua simply turned around and dove under the ocean. Some were confused by this, but most sighed in relief.

After letting everything that just happened sink into their minds, Applejack spoke. "Well, that just happened."

Twilight Sparkle turned to Sunset. "Were those creatures from Equestria?"

"To be honest Twilight, I'm not entirely sure." Despite being a native of Equestria herself and knowing plenty of creatures, Sunset was certain that she would have known about these monsters if they were from Equestria, especially Gaira. Yet, she had no recollection of the existence of these particular creatures. It felt odd to her. Were these creatures natives of this world, perhaps? If she remembered correctly, there had been reports of supposed paranormal phenomenons in this word, even before she arrived.

"LAND AHOY!" Pinkie shouted out loud, interrupting Sunset's contemplation and prompting the rest of the Mane Seven to turn towards where she was pointing at. To their and everyone else's surprise, a remote island could be seen in the far distance, barely concealed by the dark storm.

"Is that an island?" Fluttershy asked innocently.

"Looks like it, sugarcube." Applejack confirmed.

Sunset Shimmer didn't know why, but for some unknown reason, she suddenly began having an odd feeling to go to that particular island. It was almost as if an instinct was telling her to go there. "I think we should go there." She suddenly said.

This request caused everyone to look at her in surprise, and some of her friends looked a little worried about the idea. "Are you sure about that, Sunset?" Twilight asked.

"Yeah! We're gonna miss the whole monster action if we go there!" Rainbow complained, prompting everyone to turn and give her harsh glares and annoyed frowns. "...What?"

Ignoring Rainbow's comment, Twilight turned to Sunset. "Well, if that's case, I trust you, Sunset." Unlike the enthusiastic Rainbow Dash, Sunset was not one to engage in pointless action or danger, and if she was feeling like something was calling them there, then Twilight will trust her without question.

"Thanks, Twilight." Sunset smiled, to which Twilight smiled back.

"Ah' agree. Better than lettin' the monsters out there eat us." Applejack said, pointing at the ocean, which was quiet for the time being. Everyone else were quick to agree with Sunset's decision; after witnessing everything that just happened, going on land would definitely keep them safer than sailing the ocean, where they would no doubt be vulnerable to another monster attack.

...

After some convincing and discussions, the captain of the Luxe Deluxe agreed to go to the remote island. For the rest of the cruise patrons, there was no debate — they just witnessed two gigantic sea monsters, both capable of destroying the Luex Deluxe very easily. And considering how far they are from Canterlot High (and by extension, their homes) this island would make a safe haven, at least temporarily.

After nearly 40 minutes, the Luxe Deluxe finally arrived on shores of the island, and the ship crew and passengers onboard safely came down to the island, including the animals from the petting zoo. While they may initially be safe from the sea monsters that they saw, there was now the matter of how they will return home or survive on this island long enough to be rescued. Sunset, however, wasn't thinking about any of that at the moment. Instead, she was more focused on where those two monsters came from; She was almost certain they were not from Equestria, as they didn't feel like Equestrian creatures.

"At least I don't feel seasick, anymore." Applejack muttered, rubbing her stomach in satisfaction.

"So, what now?" Rainbow asks, snapping Sunset back to reality.

"Well, I think it would be best to wait for this storm to calm down. Then, when all is said and done, we'll turn back and go home." Sunset explained with a smile.

"That's nice and all, darling. But are you forgetting the two giants we just saw?!" Rarity yelled out. Sunset looked down, acknowledging the fashionista's statement — even if they do leave, Oodako and Gaira, or possible other giant monsters, were still out there. This was going to be tough.

"So what? If they attack us, we'll just kick their butts back to wherever they came from!" Rainbow boasted, punching the palm of her hand.

"Don't get so hyped, Rainbow." Sunset said. "These are creatures that we've never seen before. Creatures that I've never seen before. We need to think before we act."

"Oh, come on! We've beaten tougher guys before!" Rainbow exclaimed.

"That's debatable." Twilight folded her arms, unamused.

"Ugh. Fine! If you guys need me, I'll be looking for some Equestrian magic of my own!" Annoyed, Rainbow Dash said before turning and walking into the jungle of the island.

"Typical Rainbow Dash." Sunset shook her head in disappointment.

"So, Sunset." Twilight spoke, catching her friend's attention. "You said those creature's weren't from Equestria?"

"I don't think so. Especially that green giant we just saw. Honestly, It's really strange." Sunset explained. "You think they could be creatures native to this world?"

Now it was Twilight's turn to ponder. "Well, there have been reports of cryptids, a.k.a yet-to-be-identified creatures, in our world. And one of the most famous cryptids is Bigfoot, also known as Sasquatch, as well as the Yeti, also known as the Abominable Snowman. But, as of now, there is no scientific evidence for such creatures. Well, until we saw that thing." She said, putting emphases on 'that'.

"It's possible... but still..." For some reason, Sunset couldn't help shake off this odd feeling about that creature and this island. Perhaps these creatures were natives of this world. Perhaps they were what Twilight calls 'cryptids'. And perhaps Equestrian magic had awakened them or caused them to become more active. Whatever the reason, Sunset only knew for certain that Gaira and Oodako were not from Equestria.

"AHHHHHHHHH!"

A loud scream suddenly came echoing from the jungle, alerting and frightening everyone. And what made it even more chilling was that the scream unmistakably belonged to Rainbow Dash!

"That sounded like Rainbow Dash!" Fluttershy gasped.

"Let's go help her!" Applejack and the others were about to go until Sunset stopped them.

"No. You guys have to stay here in case something happens. I'll go look for Rainbow." Sunset said.

"No, Sunset. We'll go look for Rainbow." Twilight said, smiling, to which Sunset smiled back.

"Good luck, guys!" Pinkie exclaimed optimistically. Normally, she, Fluttershy and Applejack would have protested in a situation like this, and insisted to come along, but considering their close encounter with the two kaiju, they quickly agreed to stay behind and protect the people in case another monster comes. And with that, Sunset Shimmer and Twilight Sparkle went into the jungle to rescue their friend.

...

Navigating through the jungle had proved to be more difficult than they thought, especially for Twilight Sparkle; after moving under a vine, she was startled by a bat flying past her face. Afterwards, Sunset moved a large leaf out of the way, which accidentally smacked Twilight in the face, annoying her even more. As the two friends were progressing through the jungle, they couldn't help but stay vigilant and wary of their surroundings; carefully keeping a close watch for any more unusual creatures.

"Help! Help! Heeeeeellllllp!"

Hearing their friends cries, Sunset and Twilight started rushing as fast as they can to where the cries were coming from. After some running, the duo finally arrived at the location where the cries for help were coming from. To their surprise, they found Rainbow Dash stuck in quicksand and calling out for help. But at the same time, they couldn't help but feel relief that she wasn't taken by one of those monsters. Rainbow was trying to wiggle free, only to sink in further.

"Way to go, Rainbow Dash. You did it again." Rainbow cursed herself, unaware of the presence of her friends. "You had to go off on your own, didn't you?"

"Rainbow Dash!" Sunset called out.

"Oh, hey! Uh, heh, 'sup? Um, just takin' a rest in here, y'know?" Upon noticing her friends, Rainbow quickly dropped the remorseful persona and tried to act like nothing was wrong. "Finding evil magic and giant monsters is hard work."

"And did you find any?" Twilight asked indignantly.

"Nope... just quicksand." Rainbow murmured with a hint of guilt in her tone.

"Don't struggle. We'll find something to pull you out." Sunset said, turning to look for something long enough for their friend to reach.

"Struggle?" Rainbow asked while literally trying to wiggle free. "Who's struggling?"

"Typical Rainbow Dash." Twilight sighed before moving to a nearby tree and breaking off a tree branch. "Although, to be fair, those monsters back there were something unexpected."

"You can say that again." Rainbow said. "Still, I doubt it's anything we can't handle." She insisted, regaining her enthusiastic persona, much to Twilight's and Sunset's annoyance. However, as Rainbow continued boasting, a large shadow began looming over the unwary girl. Sunset and Twilight immediately took notice of this... which was followed by looks of fear and terror appearing on their faces.

"G-g-giant plant monster..." Sunset quietly murmured, gazing at something behind her friend.

"What? Giant plant monster? Where?" Rainbow asked, looking around.

"Behind you!" Twilight cried out, pointing behind her friend. Looking behind herself, Rainbow Dash saw a gigantic and carnivorous plant monster that beard a heavy resemblance to a Venus flytrap — the only thing differentiating it from a real flytrap was that fact that this monster was at least 7 meters tall, and was armed with countless tenrdil-like vines to ensnare prey.

Fear and panic began taking hold of the three girls as the giant flytrap leaned down to gobble up Rainbow. Fortunately, Twilight was quick to use her telekinatic gift to hold the carnivorous plant from eating her friend.

"Get me out of here!"

Thinking fast, Sunset picked up a nearby branch and began reaching out to Rainbow with it while Twilight did her best to keep the plant monster from eating her friends. After some effort, Rainbow managed to grab hold of the branch, but just as she did that, the giant flytrap used its tendril-like vines to attack them. Again, Twilight used her telekinesis to keep them at bay, but with so many appendages to restrain, one of the tendrils broke free and splashed into the quicksand. Right after the vine disturbed the sand, Sunset saw a bright light illuminating from the quicksand.

"I've seen something like this before." She said before brushing some of the sand away... and revealing a portal underneath. "This is definitely Equestrian magic!"

Twilight was trying with all her will and might to keep the plant monster from eating her friends, but said struggle was beginning to take its toll on her body. "I can't hold it back much longer!" She cried out.

Seeing no other option, Sunset turned to Rainbow. "I have a way out of this. Do you trust me?"

"Of course!" Rainbow, who was now stuck from neck down, exclaimed.

Without giving her friend time to react, Sunset grabbed the top of Rainbow's head and shoved her down in the sand, much to Twilight's horror. "Did you just...?!"

"I'll explain later! We jump on three!" Sunset exclaimed just as the plant monster broke free from Twilight's magical hold. Just as the vines started closing in on them, Sunset moved quickly and grabbed Twilight, pulling her towards the quicksand. Sunset and Twilight then both jumped and splashed into the quicksand, which was followed by a magical beam of light bursting from the sand, disorientating the plant monster and allowing Sunset and Twilight to safely escape.

Angered that its meals have escaped, the plant monster roared out in rage. But just then, something else emerged from the thickness of the jungle, prompting the plant monster to turn its attention from the portal to the new comer. Letting out a high-pitched roar, the new creature charged at the plant monster. The plant monster tried to restrain the new beast, but its vines couldn't even slow it down... and that was the last move the monstrous Venus flytrap made before the other creature tackled it and began tearing it to pieces with its jaws and claws. However, after having a taste, the new creature realized this wasn't meat and promptly spat out the remains of the plant monster.

Flicking its triple-forked tongue in the air, the monster picked up a new scent — it was the unmistakable sent of prey. With intense hunger growing in its stomach, the beast turned and began following the sent of its next potential meal.

Elsewhere, after having escaped from the carnivorous plant, Sunset, Rainbow and Twilight found themselves in what appeared to be a cavern or cave of some kind as the sound of water rushing could be heard. At the moment, all that could be seen was complete darkness, which supported the idea that they were in a cave.

"Where are we?" Twilight asked.

"Not about to get eaten. Good enough for me." Rainbow said with relief.

"It's... more complicated than that." The nervous voice of Sunset was heard. A small but bright light began illuminating in the darkness, briefly blinding Twilight and Rainbow, and revealing them to indeed be in an underground cavern. But more importantly, the two friends realized that the light was coming from Sunset's horn... who was now a orange-colored unicorn pony — and she wasn't the only one.

As if facing a giant octopus, a giant hominid-like creature, and later a plant monster was not enough, after passing through the mysterious portal, the three human friends had been transformed into ponies: Sunset Shimmer and Twilight Sparkle were unicorns, while Rainbow Dash was a pegasus. There was a moment of silence as the three friends allowed this realization to sink in, which was subsequently followed by Twilight letting out a loud shriek of terror.

"GYAAAAAH!"

...

After exiting the cavern and emerging into a forest, Twilight looked at her reflection in a nearby pond, and sure enough, continued screaming in horror. It was somewhat ironic, as this was Twilight's pony counterpart's exact same reaction when she entered the human world and was transformed into a human for the first time. "PONY FACE!" The now-pony Twilight cried out.

"Twilight! You're okay! This is supposed to happen!" Sunset said, trying to calm her friend down.

"All my things are horse things!" Twilight exclaimed, taking a good look at her horn, tail, and cutie mark. The only thing she retained from her human self were her glasses.

" 'Round here we call them 'pony things'." Sunset clarified.

"Incoming!" Twilight and Sunset looked up as Rainbow Dash flew past them and crashed into a nearby bush.

Sighing, Sunset turned to her friend. "That wasn't quicksand back there. The sand was covering a portal to Equestria. I thought there was only one from school to Celestia's mirror, but who knows how many there are and where they might lead?"

"Sorry, I wasn't listening. Because we're ponies!"The still-panicked and pony-turned Twilight cried out.

"Y'know, Twilight, since I kinda messed things up, maybe this could be your vacation!" Rainbow Dash happily said as she approached her friends. This proposal calmed Twilight down and made her consider her friend's proposal. "We're here, we're ponies. Let's have some fun! Pony style!" She exclaimed as she stood on her hind legs, only to lose her balance and fall back down on all-fours.

"Uh, that's not a thing we say." Sunset chuckled.

"This would be a fantastic opportunity to study the physical laws of a novel dimension." Twilight said, excitement building up inside her.

"Shouldn't we be getting back?" Sunset suggested, looking a little worried.

"I'm sure our friends can handle those monsters, even without us!" Rainbow confidently said, puffing up her chest.

As the pony-turned friends were debating on what to do next, something gigantic in the sky suddenly passed over them with incredible speed, briefly engulfing the entire area in shadow. Startled, the friends looked up... and their jaws immediately dropped. Flying high up in the sky was what could only be described as...

"A pterosaur?" Twilight murmured, her pony ears now flattened against her head.

Their eyes were not deceiving them, what the three friends are seeing right now was a creature thought to have gone extinct over 65 million years ago. Yet here it was, alive and well, and flying over them like an eagle or hawk, seemingly unaware of their presence. The fact that they were gazing at a real life pterosaur was shocking enough, but what was even more astonishing (and startling) was the fact that this pterosaur was absolutely gigantic: It was at least 70 meters long from the tip of the beak to the end of its tail, and had a wingspan of 265 meters, as Twilight estimated. Furthermore, its body design was drastically different from any known pterosaur species, as it had spikes running down its chest and two backward-facing horns residing on the back of its head.

"Holy Moly!" Rainbow breathed in awe.

As the friends were gazing at the pterosaur, a very loud and powerful roar caused them to instantly shift their attention from the pterosaur and spot yet another creature they thought had long gone extinct. Roaming the forest at least 2 miles away from them, was an equally-gigantic dinosaur that resembled allosaurus or carcharodontosaurus. This dinosaur stood upright with its long tail dragging on the ground, and possessed a large head, muscular legs and short arms. It had three claws on each arm, and its skin was covered in thick, scaly bumps while also sporting a spike on the tip of its tail.

"Sunset, you never told us that dinosaurs are still around in Equestria!" A-now-excited Rainbow Dash exclaimed, seeing something that she could only dream of.

"Yeah, why didn't you tell us?" Twilight asked, also feeling excited at the opportunity to see and possibly study living dinosaurs.

"Because they're not." Came the very serious tone of Sunset. Rainbow and Twilight instinctively calmed themselves and looked at Sunset, who was looking at the giant dinosaur in confusion and worry. "I was a former student of Princess Celestia, I know all the creatures that live in Equestria and its history, and I know for a fact that dinosaurs never existed in Equestria." Everyone became silent as they allowed this realization to sink in. If there have never been dinosaurs in Equestria, then what were those two creatures they were seeing now? "And I'm pretty sure there have never been any dinosaurs that big in your world, either." Sunset went on.

After a moment of silence, Twilight looked at Sunset seriously. "You think these dinosaurs might be connected with the giant hominid monster we saw in our world?"

"Possibly." Sunset replied. "But the only way to find out what's going on is to go to Princess Twilight."

With definitive nods from both of her friends, Sunset, Twilight and Rainbow began running to Ponyville to hopefully get some answers about these strange phenomenons that had been occurring.

Back in the human world, Applejack (who had recovered from her seasickness), Rarity, Fluttershy, and Pinkie Pie were still waiting for their friends. It has been nearly an hour, and they still have not returned. The four friends were beginning to really worry now, and were considering on going into the jungle to look for them, but at the same time, they needed to protect the passengers from any more possible monsters.

"Ah'm beginning to worry." Applejack said, crossing her arms.

"Indeed." Rarity said. "But I'm sure our friends are fine, darling."

"How can ya' be sur'." Applejack asked, feeling uneasy about their predicament. "Ya'll saw it back there. Those giant monsters?"

"I've never seen or heard of any creature like that." Fluttershy commented, feeling scared.

As the four friends were conversing, they and everyone else suddenly heard a loud noise coming from the jungle.

"What was that?" Pinkie asked in surprise.

"Is that them?" Fluttershy asked hopefully, though she somehow knew that wasn't the case.

It was a loud, thunder-like sound, as if something large was coming their way. The friends quickly got up and prepared to use their magical gifts, feeling like they are gonna have to fight their way out of this situation. The passengers, crewman and the animals all started backing away from the jungle in fear, knowing that whatever was coming their way would not be friendly. They saw several trees getting broken and knocked over by something massive, which made them even more nervous.

After another few minutes of intense waiting, the creature finally emerged from the thick jungle and showed itself for all to see. What emerged from the jungle was a gigantic reptilian monster that was as long, or longer, than the Luxe Deluxe. It was a lizard-like creature with only two long forelimbs and no hind limbs. It also had a long, serpentine tail with a fin-like structure at the end, similar to the tail of a newt. Its head closely resembled that of a mosasaur, and on each hand it had four claws, as well as spikes protruding from its elbows. But perhaps the creepiest aspect about this mysterious beast was that its appearance was noticeably skeletal, with its head resembling a real skull and its spine seemingly protruding from its back. For a moment, the four friends thought they were looking into the eye sockets of a skull, but quickly noticed that the monster's real eyes were located behind its nostrils, which resembled the eye sockets of an empty skull. This creature's real name was Halakrah, but its more commonly called... a Skullcrawler!

"Oh, Dear..." Fluttershy quietly murmured as fear started creeping in. She wasn't the only one; everyone, including her friends, were beginning to experience this same feeling of anxiety and dread as they silently stared at the beast.

"You think it's friendly?" Pinkie asked nervously. As if to answer her question, the Skullcrawler let out a high-pitched roar at them, revealing countless thorn-like teeth that filled the inside of its mouth, and a long, triple-forked tongue.

" 'Ah'd say that's a no." Applejack gulped before she and her friends pony up, gaining their pony-like traits.

Not wasting anymore time, the Skullcrawler charged at the heroes, eager to devour every single one of these morsels. Thinking fast, Rarity stepped forward and stretched out her arms, creating a gigantic bubble-like diamond shield to protect herself, her friends and all of the passengers. The lizard-like monster smashed into the diamond shield face-first, creating noticeable cracks. The Skullcrawler let out a roar of frustration before attempting to bite through the force-field, but the shield's smooth surface made it impossible to get a hold of with its powerful jaws, let alone bite through.

"For goodness' sake, where are Twilight and the others?!" Rarity exclaimed while doing her best to hold off the giant predator.

Ponyville

Sunset Shimmer, Twilight Sparkle and Rainbow Dash had just arrived in Ponyville, which looked mostly normal and fairly okay... except for the fact that there were also gigantic creatures, far bigger than any known creature in Equestria, roaming very close to Ponyville. What made it even stranger was that the ponies didn't seem bothered in the slightest by the presence of these giant monsters. In the distance, roughly 100 meters away from Ponyville, Sunset and her friends saw an ankylosaurus-like creature with an armored, spike-filled carapace and a crocodile-like head casually strolling while also carrying several ponies on its back.

"Something definitely happened in Equestria while I was away." Sunset remarked, looking at the giant reptile.

"So what do we do?" Twilight asked.

"We'd better keep a low profile." Sunset said. "Follow my lead."

With that, the three pony-turned humans began sneaking through Ponyville, making sure not to draw attention to themselves or run into the Mane Six's pony counterparts along the way. At one point, a male Earth pony saw Rainbow's counterpart while he was conversing with the native Rainbow Dash. This resulted in the stallion fainting from shock, leaving the native pony Rainbow Dash (unaware of what he saw) confused. Sunset, Twilight, and Rainbow continued sneaking their way around the unsuspecting ponies until they finally reach the Castle of Friendship.

...

Inside the Castle of Friendship, Princess Twilight Sparkle was helping Spike hang a painting of Godzilla battling King Ghidorah on their wall. Standing atop the tall ladder, Spike was trying to carefully place the painting in just the right way following Twilight's instructions.

"A little higher on the left. Now on the right. A little more." Twilight continued instructing Spike until she heard the entrance doors opening. Turning around, she saw Sunset Shimmer enter the room with a soft smile. "Sunset Shimmer!" Excited, the Princess of Friendship momentarily forgot about the painting, forcing Spike to hold onto it with his claws.

"It's wonderful to see you!" The Princess said as the two ponies hugged each other. "What are you doing here?"

"It's a long story." Sunset nervously smiled as Twilight's (Sci-Twi) and Rainbow's pony-turned human counterparts also entered the room.

"Wait. How are you coming in the front door and not up from where I keep the mirror?" Twilight gasped upon realizing it. "You found another portal between our worlds!"

"I guess it wasn't that long." Sunset chuckled.

"Oh, I like her." Sci-Twi whispered.

"Rainbow Dash! Other me! Good to see you both again! What about the others?" Twilight asked, becoming confused and a little bit concerned.

At this point, Sunset began looking uneasy herself. "Well, I guess could say that's the reason we're here. Back in our world, we encountered some giant creatures that we've never seen before, and we came here to ask you about them. But I'm guess you already know about it, considering what we saw outside."

This explanation caused Twilight and Spike to both smile nervously and look at their friends with concern. "Yeah~... about that. Let's just say a lot of things happened while you were away. But I'm more than happy to start from the beginning." Twilight said with a smile, eager to explain everything that had been going on in their world.

Back in the human world, the frustrated Halakrah was trying to break the diamond-like force-field that Rarity was projecting in order to devour the prey that was within. So far, it managed to only leave cracks on the shield, but Rarity herself was not fairing much better as the maintenance of this shield was putting a massive amount of strain on her body.

"Fluttershy, you're the animal expert. Can't ya' do somethin' about this?" Applejack asked.

Gulping fearfully, Fluttershy walked up to the edge of Rarity's force-field. "Um... Excuse me, Mr. Monster?" She asked softly and quietly, but enough for the Skullcrawler to momentarily cease its attack and lock eyes with her. Mustering up her courage, Fluttershy began speaking. "Can you please go away and leave us alone? I'm sure you understand that we mean you no harm." Responding to her request, the Skullcrawler let out a series of chirps and low growls. When it finished its 'conversation', Fluttershy gained a absolutely terrified look on her face, which did not go unnoticed by her friends.

"What did he say, Fluttershy?" Pinkie asked.

"He said he's extremely hungry. So hungry, that even if he eats all of us, he's still going to be hungry." Fluttershy said, gulping in fear as she realizes their situation. "I don't know what he is, but he has a super fast metabolism that puts him in a constant state of starvation. There's nothing I can do to convince him." For all her talent and ability to talk with animals, even Fluttershy knew it was best not to get in the way of an extremely hungry carnivore.

Hearing this, everyone become even more terrified of the beast, realizing that even Fluttershy can't tame it. Figuring that biting won't do, the Skullcrawler turned around and smashed the shield with its powerful tail, creating much larger and more noticeable cracks. Seeing this, the predator swung its tail again with full-force, and shattered Rarity's diamond shield to pieces! Everyone began screaming as the Skullcrawler turned and lunged at them, ready to devour them! Seeing no other choice, Applejack stepped between the monster and her friends, and was swiftly snatched up by its jaws.

"APPLEJACK!"

Her friends cried out in horror, but thanks to her gift of having super strength, Applejack managed to pry the Skullcrawler's jaws open by pressing her arms against its upper jaw and her legs against its lower! Even the Skullcrawler was perplexed by this deceptively-strong prey. But even with her super strength, Applejack was having a hard time keeping the monster's jaws open, and was slowly losing! But right before the beast could close its jaws and devour her, a large boulder came flying out of nowhere and smashed into the beast's head, stunning it and causing it to drop Applejack. Surprised, Applejack and everyone else turned their attention to where the boulder came from, and to their even greater surprise, saw the green humanoid kaiju, Gaira, emerging from the ocean, roaring loudly and fearlessly at the vicious predator. Turning its attention from the Applejack to the Green Gargantua, the Skullcrawler let out a high-pitched roar, angered that he both interrupted its meal and had the nerve to challenge it.

"Holy moly, I did not see that coming!" Pinkie exclaimed.

"I don't think any of us did, Pinkie." Applejack muttered.

With a loud roar, the Skullcrawler charged at Gaira, who, in turn, began charging at the Skullcrawler! The two giants quickly closed the large distance between them before they smashed into each-other with their full weight and power! Upon clashing, the Skullcrawler managed to tackle Gaira to the ground with its superior weight, before attempting to deliver a fatal bite to his neck. Thinking fast, Gaira placed his right arm between his neck and the deadly jaws, saving himself in the process. Using his free arm, Gaira then started punching the side of the Skullcrawler's head repeatedly, disorientating and angering it. Releasing his arm from its jaws, the Skullcrawler pinned Gaira's left arm against the ground with its right forelimb and wrapped its prehensile tail around his right arm, keeping that at bay as well. Even with both of his arms restrained, Gaira tried to bite his attacker, but the Skullcrawler simply grabbed his head with its left forelimb and smashed him against the ground with such tremendous force that it knocked the green Gargantua unconscious!

Roaring victoriously, the Skullcrawler was about to start feeding on this much larger meal. But before the beast could take a bite, a loud and powerful roar distracted it from the downed Gargantua. Turning to see where that roar came from, both the Halakrah and the heroines were surprised to witness yet another humanoid giant emerge from the same jungle the Skullcrawler came from. It looked very similar to Gaira, except it was significantly taller and its body was covered in brown fur. Like the green Gargantua, this hominid creature had a large head that seemed almost level on top, but unlike Gaira, this one had no sharp fangs in its mouth. This creature was in fact the brother of the Gaira, and it was the Brown Gargantua: Sanda!

"Another one?!" Rarity cried out in shock, watching Sanda emerge from the forest.

"And it's brown!" Pinkie commented the obvious.

"Where the hay are these things coming from?" Applejack exclaimed.

Seeing this monstrosity threatening these innocent people and almost killing his brother, Sanda let out another mighty roar at the ravenous beast! Responding to his challenge, the Skullcrawler left the unconscious Gaira and began charging at Sanda, ready for another take-down, and hopefully another meal!

Ponyville; Castle of Friendship

Twilight, Spike, Sci-Twi, Sunset and Rainbow were sitting on the Mane Six's thrones as the Princess of Friendship finished telling them everything that happened in Equestria, in the last eleven months. Everything from the arrival of Godzilla, to his battle against King Ghidorah, to his battle with Destoroyah, then SpaceGodzilla, and every single, kaiju-related event from there after. Needles to say, Sunset and her pony-turned human friends were beyond astonished — to think such a phenomenon would occur in Equestria while they were gone. Twilight also told them the names of all the kaiju that were currently in Equestria, leading Sunset and the other to learn that the pterosaur they saw earlier was called Rodan, while the theropod dinosaur was named Gorosaurus, and the ankylosaurus-like creature was called Anguirus.

"This is incredible!" Sunset exclaimed in awe and amazement. "I always thought that our world and the other world were the only ones in existence. But now learning that there is a third world, filled with these creatures — it's beyond incredible!"

"These creatures are like superheroes!" Sci-Twi commented, making Rainbow nearby raise an eyebrow before rolling her eyes. "Their biology and abilities are only theoretical in our world!"

"I wish I could say the same for how the inhabitants of their world feel towards them." Twilight said with a sad smile.

Hearing this, everyone gained sympathetic looks. Twilight and Spike have already told them how the humans of Godzilla's world have always looked for a way to destroy the kaiju. Not bothering to communicate with them, and deeming them as mindless monsters of destruction with no emotions or feelings. True, some kaiju like Ghidorah and Destoroyah were indeed monsters, but most of the kaiju will not attack so long as they are not attacked first.

"Well, at least Godzilla's happy in Equestria." Rainbow Dash smiled.

"I know." Twilight smiled back. "But they are gonna have to return to their home, eventually." The others followed suit, feeling sad and empathetic for the kaiju. Just then, two female voices rang out inside their heads.

"Princess Twilight Sparkle!"

"What was that?!" Sunset cried out, looking around but finding no one but themselves. Rainbow and Sci-Twi were also equally startled, but Twilight and Spike couldn't help but snicker at their reactions.

"It's alright, Sunset." Twilight assured her with a smile. "What you just heard are the voices of two, new friends of ours from Godzilla's home world. They're called the Elias, and they speak using telepathically."

Hearing this, Sunset, Sci-Twi and Rainbow Dash were left completely dumbfounded and beyond impressed. As if sharing their world with giant and extremely powerful creatures wasn't enough, they even have friends that can read minds and speak telepathically between worlds.

"And here I thought I've seen everything." Rainbow Dash commented, feeling somewhat jealous that the ponies have done and experienced so much more then they've had.

"Hey, Elias! Do you need us for something?" Twilight asked her other-worldly friends.

"Indeed, Twilight. It appears that some of creatures of our world have ended up in your friend's world. Equestria and this other, human world are sister worlds, and as such, a minority of the creatures from our world have ended up in that world instead of Equestria. And right now, a creature from our world is currently attacking Sunset's friends!"

Hearing this, everyone becomes dead silent as horror started creeping inside their bodies at the realization that their other friends were currently being attacked by a kaiju. Without a moment to lose, Twilight immediately got up from her seat and yelled "We have to go back!"

"Right!" Sunset nodded. With that, she, Twilight, Sci-Twi, and Rainbow Dash got up from their seats and begin racing outside the Castle of Friendship as quickly as they could, leaving Spike behind to finish hanging the painting. As they were running, Sunset could only hope that their friends were doing their best to survive or stall whatever monster was attacking them.

The battle between Sanda and the Skullcrawler had already begun; the lizard-like monster tried to get a hold of Sanda's neck with its powerful jaws, but the brown Gargantua was able to grab both the upper and lower jaws of his enemy and keep them at bay. Roaring loudly, Sanda then tried to pry the monster's jaws open, but the Skullcrawler wrapped its prehensile tail around his leg, making Sanda lose his balance and fall on his back. Seizing the opportunity, the Skullcrawler tried to bite again, but Sanda grabbed hold of its neck with his hand, keeping the beast's deadly jaws inches from his face.

"You think we should help him?" Fluttershy asked, watching Sanda struggle against the reptilian monster.

"Yeah, Ah think we should." Applejack nodded.

Pressing his legs against the Skullcrawler's abdomen, Sanda managed to kick his attacker off of him. Not deterred, the reptilian monster quickly recovered and charged at Sanda once again! It leaped towards the Gargantua, who reached out with his hand and caught the beast by the neck. Holding the thrashing Skullcrawler with one hand, Sanda tried to punch it with his other, only for the beast to catch his punch with its clawed forelimb. Wrapping its long tail around Sanda's torso, the Halakrah broke free from his hold and landed on the ground before using its tail to lift and fling the Gargantua high in the air like a football! Sanda crashed forty meters away from his attacker, still alive but now critically weakened! Weakly, Sanda tried to get up, but his attacker quickly arrived to pin him down with its forelimb, and, as if to taunt him, the Skullcrawler even took its time to lick Sanda's face with its snake-like tongue.

But before it could deliver the killing blow, a sudden series of explosions on its back caused the Halakrah to screech in pain and surprise, distracting it from the downed Gargantua. Looking around to whoever was bold enough to attack it, the Skullcrawler noticed the four humans that it originally planned to eat, standing on the beach definitively. Enraged, the beast turned around to go after them, smacking Sanda in the face with its tail in the process.

Using her ability to make sweets to explode via her touch, Pinkie was able to prevent the Skullcrawler from delivering a fatal bite to Sanda, but right now, the Skullcrawler's wrath had shifted from the Gargantuas and over to them.

"We got its attention. Now what?" Rarity asked, turning to Applejack.

"Truth be told, Ah' didn't think this far ahead." Applejack admitted grimly.

"Run!" Pinkie cried out.

With no other option, Applejack, Rarity, Fluttershy and Pinkie Pie began running away as the Skullcrawler gae chase, ignoring the two downed Gargantuas.

"Where the hay are Sunset, Rainbow, and Twilight?" Applejack asked while running, knowing they cannot keep this up forever.

"Don't worry, AJ! At least we have a head-start!" Pinkie happily pointed out.

"But it won't take that monster much time to catch up to us!" Applejack exclaimed. "We need to split up to distract it a little more!"

Not having much choice in the moment, her friends nodded and began splitting up in different directions to hopefully confuse and distract their pursuer. But the Skullcrawler had already set its sights on the one human who prevented it from having its meal the first time: Rarity! "Why is this beast going after me!?" The fashion-designer cried out in dismay. To make her situation even worse, the Skullcrawler opened its jaws and a long prehensile tongue shot out of its mouth at lightening speed, snatching Rarity before pulling her towards the monster's waiting mouth. Fortunately, Rarity was quick to use her powers to encase herself in a sphere-shaped diamond force-field, saving herself as the monster's jaws clamped down on the shield. Like a komodo dragon trying to break open a tortoise shell with its jaws, the frustrated Skullcrawler was trying to break the sphere-shaped shield containing its prey!

"We have to help her!" Applejack cried out.

Thinking fast, Fluttershy turned to the nearby jungle and whistled loudly. On her command, a swarm of bees, wasps and hummingbirds emerged from the jungle. "Please help us distract that monster?" Fluttershy called out, to which the animals nodded in unison. Heeding her request, the bees, wasps and hummingbirds flew towards the Halakrah and began disorientating it via flying around its face, pecking at its eyes, and stinging it. Applejack took this opportunity to run underneath the reptilian monster before using her super strength to jump upwards and deliver a powerful punch to the monster's abdomen. This attack was strong enough to force the Skullcrawler to drop Rarity and roar out in pain. Now more enraged than ever, the reptilian beast turned to its tiny attacker, determined to devour her once and for all!

"Applejack!" Rarity cried out.

Just as the Skullcrawler was ready to gobble her up, something from behind grabbed it by the tail and pulled the two-limbed beast away from Applejack, saving her. Turning around, the girls saw that it was none other than Gaira, who had regained consciousness and was now ready for Round 2! Using all his might, Gaira lifted the surprised Halakrah off the ground before slamming it down with incredible force! The reptilian monster quickly recovered and freed its tail from Gaira's hands before knocking the Green Gargantua to the ground with a tail swipe! As the Skullcrawler got ready to attack again, Sanda suddenly leaped into action and tackled the Halakrah to the ground! The Brown Gargantua then attempted to strangle the monster by wrapping his arms tightly around its neck, but he failed to consider the beast's tail, which was still free. The Skullcrawler used this to its advantage and wrapped its tail around Sanda's neck before yanking him off!

Roaring angrily, the Halakrah tried to attack Sanda next, only to be stopped by Gaira, who jumped in and delivers a vicious bite of his own to the Skullcrawler's long forelimb, making it screech in pain. Fighting through the pain, the Skullcrawler freed its arm and slashed at Gaira with its other clawed forelimb, only for Sanda to deliver a hard punch to the side of its head shortly after! One-on-one, the Skullcrawler was easily able to defeat either Gargantua, but facing both of them at once was another story — and the two brothers knew it. Attacking together and at the same time, Sanda and Gaira overwhelmed and pinned the Halakrah to the ground with their combined strength and weight! Gaira took this opportunity to deliver another bite to the Skullcrawler's limb, while Sanda proceeded to repeatedly punch it in the head!

"Well how about that? They're actually beating that monster!" Applejack exclaimed in awe, feeling happy that the two Gargantuas were gaining the upper hand against their common enemy.

"Go, Jolly Green Giant! Go Jolly Brown Giant!" Pinkie cheered on the Gargantuas.

"Jolly Brown Giant? Really, Pinkie?" Rarity raised an eyebrow, to which her friend simply shrugged.

Using the sharp claws on his fingers, Gaira slashed the Halakrah across the face, causing it considerable pain, while Sanda pounded on its chest with his fists. After being defeated and nearly killed by this monster in their first solo fights, the two Gargantuas felt a sense of satisfaction and delight in turning the tables on the Skullcrawler. After nearly ten minutes and twenty seconds, the Skullcrawler stopped struggling altogether and became unresponsive. The two Gargantuas reluctantly stopped their attack and stared at the motionless monster cautiously, not willing to take any chances so quickly. With some hesitation, Sanda kicked its head.

No response.

Slowly, the Gargantua bothers allowed themselves to sigh in relief before both they turn their their attention to the four human girls that helped them defeat this threat. Almost immediately, both Sanda and Gaira noticed their pony-like traits; specifically their actual pony ears, wings, and hair extensions resembling tails when viewed from the front. Regardless of how they appeared, Sanda was thankful for their assistance; if it wasn't for them distracting the Skullcrawler with their unique powers, he and his bother would have been goners. Gaira, however, was more begrudging to acknowledge their help, which made Sanda scoff at him.

"Guys!"

Turning to the jungle, the two Gargantuas and four friends saw Sunset, Sci-Twi, Rainbow, and Princess Twilight Sparkle (in her human form) emerge from the forest. The latter four immediately stopped once they saw Sanda and Gaira, and the motionless Halakrah, present near their friends. Sunset, Sci-Twi, and Rainbow already saw and knew about Gaira, but who was the brown giant and that lizard-like creature?

"W-What happened...?" Was all the shocked-filled Sunset could ask.

"We ran into some trouble regarding that lizard monster." Applejack explained, pointing at the Skullcrawler.

"Or~... to be more accurate, that giant lizard monster came from the forest and tried to eat us. But then the green giant came and saved us, but the giant lizard monster was too strong and nearly beat him! Then the brown giant came, but he lost, too! So we distracted the giant lizard monster enough for the two giants to recover, and then beat the lizard monster to a pulp!" Pinkie explained in what was only five seconds or less.

"Also, hello Princess Twilight Sparkle from the pony world." Fluttershy politely said as she waved at her friend.

Twilight smiled and waved back them. "Hello. Good to see you all, too."

"Oh, come on! There was a cool giant monster fight and we missed it!" Rainbow Dash exclaimed in disdain, only to receive harsh glares from everyone around her. "Not that you guys had a pleasant experience. Hehe..." She chuckled, scratching the back of her head.

"I guess you didn't need our help, huh?" Sunset folded her arms and smiled proudly.

Unbeknownst to anyone, however, the motionless Skullcrawler opened its eyes and began stirring. Noticing the four human girls who earned its wrath (along with four more) standing not too far from it, the beast immediately sprang into action, catching both Sanda and Gaira off guard as it knocked them aside before sprinting towards and leaping at the eight friends, jaws open and tongue reaching! "Look out!" Twilight cried out as she and her friends only had time to huddle together and...

Nothing happened.

"Huh?"

Confused, the girls looked around before their attention was drawn upwards... which was followed by shock and awe filling their faces. Standing just a few meters away from them, and holding the struggling Skullcrawler in its grip, was an absolutely humongous humanoid robot! Its body was primarily silver, with red and yellow painted on certain parts of its body. Its head was pyramid-shaped with a large grin plastered on its face and two eyes that glowed blue. It had ribbed rubber connectors protecting its joints, three-fingered hands similar to those of industrial robots, and a rotund torso. The girls did not know it, but they were gazing up at Jet Jaguar, the Autonomous Robot Hero!

Being more than twice the size of either Sanda or Gaira, Jet Jaguar grabbed the Skullcrawler by its forelimbs and held it suspended in the air, in front of his face. Desperate to break free from the robot's grasp, the Halakrah wrapped its prehensile tail around Jet Jaguar's neck, but this did nothing to the mech, who simply headbutted the reptilian monster, knocking it unconscious. After dealing with the menace, Jet Jaguar looked down, noticing the eight girls staring up at him in absolute awe and amazement.

"Holy... Moly..." These were the first words that escaped Rainbow's lips as she and her friends stared at the towering robot.

"It's a giant robot!" Pinkie exclaimed excitedly. "Super cool!"

"Fascinating..." Sci-Twi muttered in awe.

"This is Jet Jaguar." The voices of the Elias suddenly chimed in.

"What the hay was that?" Applejack exclaimed, startled by this.

"We have a lot of explaining to do." Sunset chuckled in amusement.

"With everything we've seen so far, I'm sure you do, darling." Rarity folded her arms and huffed.

...

It took about 15 minutes for Sunset Shimmer and the Elias to explain everything that has been going on to Fluttershy, Applejack, Rairty and Pinkie Pie. And of course, the four girls had the exact same reaction as Sunset and her friends did when they first learned about this. The Elias explained that Sanda and Gaira were born from the cells of another mysterious creature, called 'Frankenstein'. But they grew up under very different circumstances: Sanda was found and raised in a research facility under the care of compassionate humans. Eventually, Sanda escaped and returned to the mountains, where he grew to his gigantic size. Due to his upbringing, he became a gentle and kind creature who had a positive outlook on life. Gaira, however, grew up in the ocean, where he spent most of his life in a dark and dangerous underwater environment surrounded by hostile sea creatures, which contributed to his aggressive and violent personality.

Sanda and Gaira eventually encountered each other when Gaira began going on rampages and attacking people. Sanda initially tried to reason with his brother, but Gaira was beyond reasoning and attacked his brother with animalistic savagery. The two Gargantuas fought each other viciously and relentlessly in the city before their duel moved from the land and into the ocean. As they fought, an underwater volcano erupted from the water and presumably killed the two brothers. But in reality, both Sanda and Gaira survived and found themselves washed on a mysterious island, known as Skull Island. There, they encountered a gigantic bipedal ape named Kong. Gaira initially tried to attack Kong, but the much bigger kaiju easily overpowered and subdued the Green Gargantua. Kong would have killed Gaira right then and there if not for Sanda stepping in and pleading to him to spare his brother. While hesitant, Kong agreed and allowed the two Gargantuas to stay on Skull Island, but under two conditions: They must never harm or otherwise threaten the local human tribes that live on the island, and they must not harm the peaceful and harmless wildlife.

It took some getting used to, but eventually both Sanda and Gaira learned to live in harmony with the inhabitants of Skull Island. They even assisted Kong in keeping some of the more dangerous creatures on the island in check, such as the Skullcrawlers and Warbats. After living with his brother on Skull Island and fighting alongside Kong, Gaira became less aggressive and altogether much calmer.

Jet Jaguar was a robot that was created by two scientist, Goro Ibuki and Goro Otaki, to defend the world and humanity from supernatural or extraterrestrial threats. Jet Jaguar was initially created to battle and defeat Godzilla, but something happened with Jet Jaguar that changed all that. Unlike Mechagodzilla, Jet Jaguar became self-aware and gained the ability to alter his own programming, and chose to use his powers to fight for good. When he first encountered Godzilla, instead of battling him, Jet Jaguar tried to communicate and even reason with the King of Monsters. Being reminded of his old mechanical adversary, Mechagodzilla, Godzilla attacked Jet Jaguar. Having no other choice, the heroic robot was forced to fight Godzilla, only for their conflict to suddenly come to an end once Gigan and another monster, Megalon, appeared. While initially hesitant, Godzilla and Jet Jaguar both knew they had to work together to defeat the two extraterrestrial kaiju. After a fierce back-and-forth battle, Godzilla and Jet Jaguar emerged victories, and Gigan and Megalon were forced to retreat back into outer space. After the battle, Godzilla had gained a new-found respect for the robotic hero; despite being a machine, Jet Jaguar valued all life and was willing to protect it even at the expense of himself. After this encounter, Jet Jaguar made it his personal mission to find a way for humans and kaiju to coexist peacefully.

"That's incredible." Fluttershy said in awe.

"That's not incredible. That's SUPER incredible!" Pinkie shouted in excitement.

"And they say we've seen everything." Applejack chuckled.

"Princess Twilight Sparkle, we wish to inform you that we are able to return Sanda, Gaira, Jet Jaguar and the Skullcrawler back to out world." The voices of the Elias suddenly said.

"Wait, what?! You can do that?!" Twilight asked, flabbergasted upon hearing this, as were her friends.

"Indeed. But we can only accomplish this feat here, as the dimensional walls of this world are significantly weaker than those in Equestria. Thus, we should be able to create a portal or two that leads to our world."

Everyone became even more astounded upon hearing this. Twilight, in particular, felt somewhat uneasy for some reason, but decided to ignore the feeling. Still, her friends felt happiness and joy that at least these four kaiju can return home. After waiting for a little while, a swirling black circle-shaped portal of incredible size suddenly manifested right in front of the kaiju and the people. It closely resembled the first portal that brought Godzilla to Equestria, except it was slightly smaller and placed in a vertical way, whereas the one that brought Godzilla appeared high in the sky and was suspended in a horizontal way.

"Sanda, Gaira, Jet Jaguar. Please come home." The Elias' voices spoke.

Understanding this, Sanda looked at his brother and Jet Jaguar, and nodded. Turning to the four human girls who helped him and his brother defeat the Skullcrawler, Sanda smiled and waved his hand at them.

"Bye, Sanda!" Pinkie cheerfully exclaimed.

"Later big fella'!" Applejack also waved.

With that, Sanda turned and went through the portal. After the Brown Gargantua left, Gaira glanced at the humans below him with a look that was a mix of indifference and begrudging thankfulness, before he, too, went through and disappearing into the portal. Even though he didn't admit it, Sunset, Twilight and their friends could tell that he was thankful for their aid in battle. After the Green Gargantua left, Jet Jaguar (who was also holding the unconscious Skullcrawler) was next.

The giant robot looked at the girls, and gave them a thumbs-up as a way of expressing his gratitude towards them.

"See ya', Jet Jaguar! Sorry you couldn't stay longer!" Rainbow exclaimed while waving her hand at the mech.

"Farewell. I shall never forget you!" Rarity smiled and also waved.

"I hope we meet again someday, big guy." Sunset smiled.

With an affirmative nod, Jet Jaguar (and the Skullcrawler he was holding) turned and walked through the portal before disappearing. After the robot hero and the reptilian monster were gone, the circle-shaped portal shrank smaller and smaller until it disappeared completely. However, as soon as the portal was gone, Sunset realized something.

"Wait! There's another creature that's still in our world!" She cried out. "It's a giant octopus that we met before we arrived on this island!"

"Oh, right! We forgot about that!" Rainbow facepalmed.

"Giant octopus? You mean Oodako? Worry not, for he, too, has been returned to our world. We were able to create another portal in the ocean and lead him to our world while you were battling the Skullcrawler."

"Oh. That's... nice." Sunset said softly, feeling like this might have been a little too convenient.

After all was said and done, Sunset Shimmer, Twilight Sparkle, and the rest of their friends pondered on what to do next.

"So... what do we do now?" Fluttershy asked softly.

Twilight and Sunset looked at each other before smiling. "We... might have a way to return to Canterlot High." Sunset hesitantly admitted.

"But it's kind of weird." Twilight also admitted.

Equestria

Back in the Castle of Friendship, Spike was still trying to place the painting of Godzilla battling King Ghidorah on the wall in just the right way. After some trail and error, the young dragon finally managed to hang the painting in the right way... only for the doors to suddenly slam open, causing the painting to fall off the wall. Turning around, Spike was surprised to see Twilight, Sunset... and a ton of other ponies that (from what he can tell) were residents of Ponyville. But little did he know, the ponies he was looking at were actually humans from the other world who have been transformed into ponies once they entered Equestria.

"We're back!" Sunset exclaimed awkwardly.

Since they had no other option, Sunset and her friends lead the ship crew and passengers of the Luxe Deluxe to the magical portal that was in the jungle, where they entered Equestria and transformed into ponies, and have now come here to use the Crystal Mirror in order to return home.

This has been a very long and very bizarre day that no one(or pony) will forget anytime soon.

Author's Note

Thank you all for reading this story. Since Sanda and Gaira are some of the more human-like kaiju, it felt fitting to put them in the Equestria Girls universe. But I bet you didn't expect to see Jet Jaguar in this story, too. In my story, Jet Jaguar's appearance and look was based on his design in Godzilla: Singular Point.

Also, it was revealed in the novelization of Godzilla vs Kong that the Skullcrawler's real name is Halakrah, which means "persistent enemy" in the Iwi language. The name "Skullcrawler" is more of a nickname that Hank Marlow made up.
