“Erm—excuse me, Lonesome,” I told my husband after feeding my animals, “but—erm—I need to go out now.”

“Could you take care of my animals while I’m out?” I asked him.

“I’m no good with animals,” he objected.

“But you found Angel for me!” I reminded him.

“Returning animals to their rightful caretakers is one thing,” he explained to me, “but looking after them oneself is another.”

“I’ll call Dr. Fauna for you,” he offered.

“Do you remember where I always put my phone?” I inquired of him.

“Yes,” he answered, “and I promise never to tell anypony else.”

“Oh, thank you!” I told him, hugging him with my wings as well as my hooves.

“Good-bye now,” I finally told him, and left my cottage to head for Ponyville proper.
