I have one thing to say before we get started… I LOVE YOU GUYS! I thank all of you who commented and showed me what I doing wrong and I felt I improved greatly because of it and you guys are better than Fanfiction.net and no one told me what was wrong with my grammar before I posted this.  I honestly did not really understand what past and present tense meant.

Now that’s out of the way I’m sorry this is a short chapter.  I originally planned to have this longer but I gave myself a deadline and I knew I wouldn’t get all of the things I wanted in the chapter so I decided to stretch it into three chapters.  I am almost done with the next chapter and I would have been finished a while back, but I wanted to make this chapter longer and I got lazy over the weekend.  

Anyways before I forget HAPPY LEAP YEAR DAY!

          Fluttershy ran into town at the strike of the hour with the sound of the clock tower ringing.  A town wide party has been in full swing in the time she has been gone.   She attempts to warn her fellow mares, but as it was when the dragon that decided to take a nap close to Ponyville her pleas went ignored and unheard.  Now she began to panic as everyone around her were dancing and having sweets and drinking water on this hot day.

‘Why is it so hot today?’ was the thought going through her head while sweating profusely then she looked up and noticed the weather.

‘A heat wave, but there isn’t suppose be one scheduled anytime soon, Rainbow Dash would have told us… unless’ Fluttershy begins to ponder on her last line of thoughts and then it hit her.

‘OF COUSE, with this heat wave along with great dance music we would become thirsty and drink more of the tainted water and become easy prey to the Males’ she thought with fright and a shiver at the end of her thought.

“I need to find something to drink” she said with a dry mouth and due to the heat she was dehydrated and she has no desire to intake anymore the tainted water.  She trots to the nearest stand that was being run by a mare known as Berry Punch.

“Hmm… Excuse me” Fluttershy said with her normal quiet voice.  Berry Punch barely heared her over the music and other party goers, she began to look for the source of the small voice when she finally sees who spoke and realizes that Fluttershy was talking to her.

“Oh sorry I didn’t hear you there” Berry Punch apologized.

“It’s okay” Fluttershy said accepting the apology.

“I was wondering if you had any…” she paused looking at what Berry Punch has on her stand only to see bottled water on display.  

“…Juice or soda?”  She asked being caution of anything water at the moment.  Berry Punch shakes her head no.

“Sorry hun I’ve been out of everything except this new brand of bottled water” Berry Punch said holding a bottle.  This caught Fluttershy’s interest.

‘It can’t be made from Ponyville’s tap water right?’ Fluttershy questioned as she took a bottle to inspect it.

“How much?” she asked after ten or so seconds later.

“It’s free, the company is having a promotion and they supplied the whole party!” Berry Punch said with excitement.  This would have set warning bells off in Fluttershy’s brain to be careful if it’s part of the trap, but she was too thirsty to care at the moment so she drinks the whole bottle dry.  Fluttershy found the water to be quite good and refreshing to the point that she forgets her worries.

“Where did this water come from I must know?!” She asked with excitement as she grabs the biggest bottle from the stand and begins to down it.  Berry Punch smiles at how happy Fluttershy had become.

“It’s from Ponyville spring water and the company opened a few days ago” Berry Punch answered cheerfully as Fluttershy nearly gagged on her water and begins to tear up for this water had to be tainted and also the aftertaste was barely there when she consecrated on the taste.  Berry Punch took her reaction the wrong way.

“There, There” Berry Punch cooed as she went to Fluttershy’s side and started to pat her back in a comforting matter.

“I’m sorry that I didn’t have juice, but I’ll have a shipment in three weeks” she said reassuring the other mare.

“There won’t be a next week” Fluttershy whimpered out loud.  Berry Punch once again misunderstood the yellow Pegasus, let out a sigh at her behavior.

“Why does everypony believe that it’s the end of the world when I run out of their favorite brand of drink?” Berry Punch asked herself in frustration.  She begins to leave and looks back at Fluttershy and says.

“I’m going to join the party now, I was only running that stand until it no longer had any extra bottles in its storage compartment” when she finished she waves good bye and canters into the crowds of ponies with a cheer.  Fluttershy continues to stand where she was until she drinks the rest of her water bottle.

‘What’s the point of fighting it anymore’ were her thoughts as she drank.  When it was empty she let out a sigh with tears beginning to come forth.

‘We’re all going to “die”’ she sadly thought as she walks down the street with her head down with the sound of the party getting more wild by the second.

Once again I’m sorry it’s short and the extra bit was going to be a flashback on what happened the first time but it needs work and I’ll have it in the next chapter.  Hopefully I will have chapter 3 up on March 16th or 17th if not it will be up at the end of the month.  Comment me on what you like or hate about it or any and all grammar issues you can find.  Thank you for reading and one more time HAPPY LEAP YEAR DAY!
