"The night shall last forever!"

The moon raised in the sky and eclipsed the sun.

"Please sister, come to your senses, we can still fix this."

"Fix this? After what you put me through? No chance dear sister, this ends now."

"You stand no chance to defeat me, you know that!"

"You think I didn't come prepared? I though you knew me better sister," Nightmare Moon shouted back, before pulling out a strange tablet.

The tablet flashed, as a small light rose just above it, several yellow crystals floated below, spinning around as the tablet seemingly gained power.

"Come forth! Sentinels of the Sun's Bane!" Shouted Nightmare Moon, who then cackled loudly.

The light split into three parts, each accompanied by several of the yellow crystals.

The first light moved towards the ground, where large cracks appeared and started glowing a hateful orange. Spires of ashen stone rose out of the cracks, dripping with lava. Dark energy began to gather as tatters of purple cloth emanated out of the cracks, coalescing into a shifting form.

The second light moved towards the castle walls, where several stained glass windows shattered. The shards were gripped in some unknown force, and quickly melted and changed shape into a large circular glass pane. Several armor stands were ripped apart nearby as the metal was shaped and morphed into a housing for the glass, crude wings made of shadow held the thing aloft as a black void began to form behind the glass.

The final light moved through a hole in the castle's ceiling, and continued up into the sky. There, dark storm clouds began to gather, and lighting began striking faster and faster. Through each flash of lightning, a long, serpentine form was visible flying through the air.

Nightmare Moon continued to laugh as the three sentinels took form, while Celestia's gaze hardened, she spoke.

"I hope you know I come prepared as well sister, these tricks of yours will get you nowhere."

Her horn flashed brightly, and all three sentinels focused on it, before any were able to act however, the ground trembled.

Large roots ruptured the floor, bringing up several chunks of stone which were overloaded with solar energy and turned a brownish color, several pulsing veins of energy visible in the stone.

The roots and stone formed into three figures, the first coming together with deadly spikes jutting out of it's form, clearly infused with energy.

The second came together and formed a solid wall of solar stone, the roots packing together until they were nearly impenetrable.

The third grew several iridescent crystals with a hint of purple, a small bead of energy hung above it.

Bright, orange fire ignited atop all three guardians, forming balls that looked a bit like eyes. They all disconnected from the ground and quickly began to circle Celestia.

Nightmare Moon scowled, but continued none the less.

"ATTACK!" she bellowed, charging up her horn.

Celestia didn't say anything, but started to charge her own horn as well.

Both sides charged, the purple clothed entity quickly teleported behind Celestia and attempted to slash at her. The attack was quickly blocked by the stone guardian however, and the spiked guardian turned and dashed towards the clothed sentinel. It was able to teleport away in time however and dodged the attack.

The void seeped out of the glass pane, forming several balls of dark energy, which quickly began to home in on Celestia. She quickly pierced all the balls of energy with a laser from her horn, the laser continued until it hit the void. Though it didn't do much damage.

The clothed sentinel shifted around, and it's eyes moved to another position in the cloth as tentacles forced their way through several openings. Large scythes formed at the end of each tentacle, which were then flung towards Celestia in an inaccurate fashion, several impacting the guardians, the crystal one taking the most damage.

The spikeed guardian charged at the void, it's large spike hitting it directly, a large crack in the glass formed as the void retreated, summoning several more dark energy balls. The stone guardian launched itself towards the clothed sentinel, and managed to hit it. It didn't do too much damage however,

The crystal guardian flashed a bright white, then it's cracked form began to regenerate. The stone ceiling was quickly destroyed though, as the wyrm in the sky broke through, several bolts of lightning followed striking the ground and guardians.

The crystal guardian didn't have time to react as the sky wyrm charged and collided with it. With the guardian in it's mandibles, the wyrm rushed back up into the air, breaking the stone ceiling once again using the guardian, which began to crumble a bit from the damage.

The clothed entity shifted once more, a large maw appeared in one of the openings, dripping with glowing purple energy. It quickly turned and charged at the stone guardian, biting through it's armor and tearing at it. It was stopped however, as a bolt of white magic impacted it's side, causing it to let go and retreat.

Nightmare Moon surveyed the battle, and shot a beam straight at Celestia, causing her to fall to the ground. Nightmare Moon then charged right for Celestia, managing to pass the other two guardians. Celestia was quick to get up however, and took flight through a hole in the ceiling, firing bolts back towards Nightmare Moon, who gave chase.

The void's dark energy balls surrounded the spiked guardian, which flew up and dashed back down, leaving floating spheres of blazing light, which exploded all around the dark energy, destroying most of it. The void gathered energy, before firing out a blast of energy, which began to slowly home in on the guardian, firing out several volleys of lasers itself.

The sky wyrm broke through the ceiling once again, with the crystal guardian still in it's maw. More bolts of lightning struck around the area as the wyrm slammed the guardian into the stone floor, completely destroying it. Arcing back up into the sky, the wyrm disappeared back into the storm.

The remaining guardians redoubled their efforts at the destruction of the crystal guardian. Piercing through the rest of the dark energy and charging at the void, the spiked guardian managed to hit it once again, the crack grew even more pronounced and shadows began to seep out of it.

The stone guardian slammed into the clothed sentinel, causing it to shift once more and teleport out of the way. It shifted once more and began firing scythes in quick succession at the stone guardian, heavily damaging it's armor. The stone guardian, which was now closer to the void, charged at it.

The void couldn't dodge out of the way, and was slammed by the stone guardian, shattering the glass pane. In it's thrashing, several shadow limbs slashed out and destroyed the stone guardian. Eventually, the void seeped out of the housing and dissipated.

The clothed sentinel shifted again, and charged at the spiked guardian, which also charged. Colliding together, the spike impaled the clothed sentinel, coming out the other end as it in turn bit down on the guardian. A large chunk of root and stone fell off of the guardian as the sentinel finally dissolved, it's cloth flowing back into the cracks in the stone floor.

Nightmare Moon and Celestia flew back into the battle, with bolts of magic flying to and fro. Chasing them was the sky wyrm, though it was impossible to tell who it was aiming for. The spiked guardian charged at the wyrm, managing to strike it's tail end.

A chain reaction occurred and several plates of armor shattered and fell off the wyrm, but not all of them. With it's attention now on the guardian, the wyrm dashed towards it as a volley of lightning bolts struck around it, several hitting it. The wyrm grabbed the guardian in it's mouth and began to thrash around violently, chunks of roots and stone flew off the guardian as it was torn apart.

Seeing it's fellow sentinels downed, the wyrm quickly flew around and consumed the remaining essence that was left from the two, there wasn't much left. It shuddered for a bit, and began looking around, with the guardians taken care of the only thing that was left was Providence.

The wyrm paused for a moment, seemingly in thought, which definitely wasn't normal. It was under orders to hunt down and destroy Providence, not this pony that had appeared before them. And who was the pony that summoned them? Why did it know they were ponies? There were too many strange things going on around it.

Suddenly, a large beam of rainbow light arced through the sky, and impacted the ground a moment later. Sensing the fight was over, the wyrm did something it had never done before in it's lifetime. It disobeyed orders.

Flying off into the storm, the worm noted the strange arrangement of craters appearing on the moon as it moved out of the way of the sun.

Celestia returned to the battlefield, looking worse for wear, she took a moment to inspect it, revealing the husk of the void, and some small tatters of purple cloth that lingered. The crumbling remains of the guardians were there as well, along with some metal plating littering the floor. There was no sign of the wyrm however, and that made Celestia worried.

Author's Notes:

Sorry to say that this story will be on Hiatus until further notice, I am not going to take on the monumental task of trying to write two different stories at once. Just know that I will continue this one day, or not, depending on if I'm allowed to continue writing it, as I really don't know if Fabsol wants me to use their content. In the meantime, why don't you check out my other story? I'm actually writing it right now, and has more than 20 chapters done already.
