A plague marine in equestria

Ruglis has been trapped in the clutches of Nurgle for a thousand years. Most of his body horribly mutated and diseased. Yet salvation comes at an unexpected time, after getting stuck in the warp, the God emperor gives him a second chance, on a world billions of light years away, where he will take a new form, heal from the ruinous powers and protect a new world.

Prolouge. The warp

Ruglis had long since stopped feeling pain, he had long since forgotten the diseases that ravaged his body, the horrible mutations that had burst through his mouldy green power armour. Large bone growths forced through tears in his ceramite pauldrons, in the armour of his knees and out of his skull and through the cracks in his helmet, just above a triplet of glowing blue optics.

The plague marine lay upon a featureless landscape as the horrors of the warp moved about him. Glancing over to his right he saw a Skulltaker, the deep red daemon was dressed in a robe of skulls and covered in symbols of the Blood God, in its right hand was a glowing hot blade that burned with the same hatred as its master, in its other hand was a blackened skull that was on fire and somehow wasn't burning the daemon's hand. Ruglis tensed visibly, his hand grabbing at the handle of his scythe, the weapon had a slight bent wooden handle, the blade was stained red from the blood off countless enemies he had slain.

"Ruglis, son of Mortarion"came a booming voice"I have a proposition for you"

Ruglis' eyes widened in shock though he didn't dare move in case he alerted the daemons crowding around him.

"I am the God emperor of Mankind"the voice came again"I need you to do a job for me"

What? Ruglis thought, he attempted to speak but instead came a horrible gurgling, wheezing noise from his ruined lungs.
"I see Nurgle's rot has taken its toll upon you"The emperor mused"But no matter, soon you will have your voice back, I am sending you to a world that needs your protection, in a new form and body, I am giving you at a chance of redemption, to be cured of the diseases that rampage inside your body, to be free of your suffering"

Ruglis wheezed again managing the words "What..do.. you.. mean?" A couple daemons hesitated for a moment before continuing.
"I will send you to a world that requires protection against the evils that plague it"The emperor chuckled at his own pun"Anyway if you do accept my offer, you should know many things I cannot heal, such as the bone growths and some of your mutations, so"He paused for a couple of moments"So do you accept?"
Ruglis nodded, making another dull wheezing noise, he would do anything to be away from this place and away from Nurgle's clutches.
"Good"Suddenly there was a bright purple flash as the air around him warped and spun and the loud voice of the emperor boomed"Goodbye Ruglis, I do hope we see each other again, though I may not recognise you

In Equestria:

Nothing told anyone of the great magical discharge that tore the fabric of reality apart. The amount of magic crashed across the land like a wave, disturbing many from their sleep as they woke bleary eyed and confused. Then the screaming started, the cries and sobs of a thousand souls suffering in a place of pure insanity, those who hadn't woken up had now. Dragons, griffons, ponies, all creatures of the world instinctively turned towards the Everfree forest. The 3 princesses weren't pulled from their slumber, in their dreams they saw a giant stallion, bigger than Celestia, dressed in dark green armour. In one hoof he held a blood stained scythe, the helmet's three port holes glowed dully. A pair of large shrivelled wings were spread out behind him, large spike growths of bone protruded out the top of his skull, back of the knees, shoulders and spine, stallion kept making low coughing noises as if he was struggling to breathe and was shaking in what seemed every breath. They attempted to help him, to comfort him but the stallion just screamed, roaring in rage and agony, raising the scythe towards them before everything went black.

Chapter 1. New world, new body

Ruglis felt pain for the first time in three thousand years, a horrible burning sensation that clawed his fur. Wait, fur? He sat upwards, though he could not see it under his power armour he felt fur or hair underneath. His armour had changed, the arms, or legs had flat ends like an equine's feet. Slowly, painfully getting to this hooves, he looked at his flank. Covered in dirty green metal, aside from the withered wings sticking out the ceramite, it was a definite horse's body, large bony spikes protruding from his spine, the armour cracked, more were growing out his shoulders and knees. Ruglis could feel that the armour was still fused to him in several places, blood pooled out those places, like his shins, back and neck. Crossing his eyes, he spotted a long snout under the helmet. Fumbling with his helmet due to his flat hooves, he threw it a little way away as gave a long, rasping, wheezing gasp as his ruined lungs attempted to inhale oxygen. Coughing loudly, he picked up his helmet to have a look at it, it still had its three dimly glowing optics, several ram like horns were attached to the top pointing upwards, there was still a splintered hole, the ceramic feathering towards him, feeling the top of his head, he found a long curved horn like growth. Flicking his ears to the sound of running water, he shambled over to peer into the shallow liquid. A horse's face stared back, it had a matted black mane tied in messy dreadlocks, Ruglis' fur matched his power armour with terrifying blood red eyes set into his face. Ruglis struggled to replace the helmet on his head. A scythe was embedded into the grassy floor a few paces away, his scythe, the weapon that had been with him almost all his life. Pulling it from the ground, he examined the blade and the handle, scrutinising them for any blemishes. Wheezing, he raised the scythe, the handle somehow sticking to his hoof, the plague marine shouted as loud as he possibly could
"PRAISE THE EMPEROR!"

The forest was silent as the grave as the plague marine strode through it, he could see the morning sun breaching the treeline. Coughing again he continued towards the direction of the sun, as if he wanted to chase its beauty. He continued for hours unsure what to do, then he heard the shreik.

Canterlot: A couple hours later:

Celestia and Luna sat together at breakfast early in the morning, the sun princess ate a small piece of cake, while Luna shakily moved to drink out of a small teacup. "I'll assume you saw it aswell?" Celestia asked her younger sister, who nodded.
"I had my work cut out for me last knight as many suffer from the same horrible visions"Luna replied" I want to find this mysterious stallion and demand why he disturbs the sleep of so many"
"I must inform Twilight of this, for her to look out for anything odd that leaves the Everfree forest" Celestia added, suddenly there was a small pop and a scroll landed before them. "Speak of the devil "Luna chuckled as Celestia opened the letter and began to read, her eyes widening. Eventually she put it down and stood up "Quickly we must make haste to Ponyville" Celestia said" It seemed Twilight has beaten us to it"
