Moving in

“Mom, do we have to move?? What if I forget all about Sky? What if she forgets me? What if all the ponies at Sires hollow laugh at me for being a blank flank? What if-“ asked Starlight, gasping between every few words. She and her mother, Aurora Glimmer were checking around Starlight’s room for any things she’d forgotten.
Aurora smiled and said “Star, its all right! And, you and Sky Dancer can write to each other, meet up once in a while. And I know you won’t forget about each other. You packed your ‘in case I forget a friend’ book, right? And also, her mom Thunder Blaze and I work at the same office and we’re moving in the outskirts of Canterlot and she stays in the city. Barely 7-8 kilometres! -

“We all ready to go?” asked Firelight
“Yes! Let’s go!!” said Starlight, excited to see the village and her new home.
Cookie, a brown 12 week old beagle puppy barked nervously as he wasn’t used to hot air balloon rides unless it was to the vet.

The family sang a few songs on the way, and even played a 1 hour game of word chain which I will be give you a sneak peek of!

“Finally, we’re here!!” said the lavender filly, running to her new home.
“Thank you!” said her father as he paid the pilot 30 bits.
“Fly with us soon!” said the pilot as he took off.

“We’re here Cookie!, you like the new house?” asked Starlight to her pup as they walked in.
Cookie whimpered a bit and went to Starlight.
“Its ok! Calm down Cookie!” said the filly as she patted the beagle.

“Star! Want an ice cream?” asked Firelight as he pointed out towards the ice cream shop across the street.
“Yes Dad!!!” squealed his daughter.
“Promise that you won’t be out for too long and not to talk to strangers” said Firelight in a kinda stern tone.
“I, Starlight Glimmer promise to be nice to everypony, not talk to strangers and return in 5 minutes!”
“Very good, off you go!” said Firelight as he started organising the shelves.

Starlight trotted off to the ice cream store. “May I get 3 dark chocolate icecreams please?
“Ok dear, now where’s that there scoop? said the ice cream mare.
“She always takes a long time.. so boring, right?” said somepony as they walked towards Starlight.
“Who are you?” asked Starlight.
“I’m Sunburst, who’re you?”
“Starlight, I’m new here.”
“Wanna hang out sometime?”
“Nah, need to finish unpacking. But maybe I should ask Dad and mom!

“Yer’ ice creAms are ready. Take em now.” said the ice cream mare.
“Thank you mrs.. -“
“Dream”
“Thank you mrs Dream. Bye!!!”

“Aura, where’s my lucky coin?” asked Firelight
“Donno dear. I think its in our room or it’s in the attic.”
“Mom, Dad? What’s going on?”
“Star, did you have breakfast, and me and your dad are trying to find some misplaced stuff.
If you see anything, just tell me or your father!”
“Okay...” said Starlight, as she started eating.
A few moments later, Aurora found a beachball and Firelight found his coin.

Starlight poured herself some milk and ate a few spoons of cereal.
As she was finishing, her mother walked up to her.
“Hey Star, wanna go out? Lots of kids are playing around and we both have to arrange some house stuff. So...?”

“Ok mom!” said Starlight with her mouth full.
“I’ll take that as a yes!” said Aurora, not being able to understand her daughter. “But come back by 11:00 for lunch.”
“Yes mom!” said Starlight and walked towards the sink.

A few minutes later, Starlight walked out with a book and a quill.
“Bye mom, bye Dad!”
“Bye Star! Be safe.”
Her parents gave her a few instructions and then gave her a muzzle.
“Bye!”

Starlight shyly walked up towards a tree and sat under it. Then she opened her book and wrote in it.

Dear Sky,
How’s it going?
Do you miss me?
I haven’t made any friends yet.
No cutiemark yet either...
So far Sires hollow is great
, but they haven’t mastered
chocolate ice cream yet..

In a little while, Sky Dreamer wrote back,

I don’t feel too well.
I miss having you around.
Canterlot too is great,
I’m moving too, to Baltimare.
It’s kinda near your place.

Anyway, I got into dance academy, National level!

Starlight close her book and decided to walk around.
“Hi, can I be your friend?” asked Starlight to a few ponies who played hoofball.
The ponies accepted, but didn’t have room to add another player.
“Its ok, but see you around?”
“Totally!” said a pink pegasus as she flew up and kicked a ball towards a yellow earth pony.

Starlight walked behind the tree and saw a pony crying.
“What’s wrong?”
“Those ponies were insulting me.. because I can’t set the sun even though my name is Sunset Shimmer.”
“Wanna be friends?”
“Ok! But please help me with magic spells every once in a while. Deal?” said the bacon- haired teen
“Ok! Which spell do you wanna work on? My favourite is transfiguration.”
“ Yay! Let’s do it. Starting with that ball. I wanna turn it into a poop. For revenge! Muahahaha!”
Sunset turned the ball into poo successfully.

“Ewww! said the bullies. and ran away. The other team, the one with the pink pegasus from earlier, went over to Sunset.

“THAT. WAS. AWESOME!!! Again! “ cried the team.

Sunset and Starlight turned a few pebbles into crayons, plants, food and other stuff until 11 am of that very day.
