Author's Notes:

I just wanted to make a story about Scootaloo's wings because I just felt bad and that I had a story idea. I compared her to Spike because they are both similar. I made Rainbow Dash comfort Scootaloo because she is the little filly's role model and she always does in the actual show.

A sweet little pegasus wakes up on a beautiful and sunny morning in her two married aunts home, as her parents are gone off travelling all over Equestia and exploring rare creatures. Scootaloo missed them but wondered if she was adopted but if she didn't have her mothers skin colour and her fathers mane colour then she wouldn't think so.

Anyways, it didn't seem like Scootaloo woke up with a smile on her face. Her two aunts came inside her bedroom to wake their little niece up from bed, but she was already wide awake in her comfortable and luxurious bed.

''Rise and Shine!'' exclaimed Aunt Holiday, ''I see you are already awake without us coming in.'' She sheds a tear from her eyes and places her hoof on her chest. ''You have grown.'' Meanwhile, Auntie Lofty was moving the curtains to the other side of the room so some sunlight can absorb through the windows and not be a unpleasant and dark bedroom.

The two aunts walk outside of the little filly's room to go to the kitchen and set up breakfast. Scootaloo grudgingly slid on the floor towards the door and exits outside of her room to go to the kitchen. They had cookies and milk set on the dining table as it was Scootaloo's favourite meal and brings joy to her every morning but unfortunately today was different. The pegasus filly has never once smiled ever since she has woken up for the morning.

''Is everything okay?'' Auntie Lofty asked. Scootaloo's ears perked up to the sound of her aunts voice. ''Yes, I'm fine.'' She starts to fidget with her plate and glass of milk.

''You hardly even smiled today, darling,'' said Aunt Holiday. ''Are you sure you are alright?''

''I'm just not in the mood for cookies and milk at the moment.''

Auntie Lofty says, ''but you always have cookies and milk which brings a smile upon your face. What changed?''

''I think I lost my appetite,'' Scootaloo hops off her chair. ''Is it okay if I go to the cutiemark crusaders clubhouse now?'' she asked without hesitant and trotted off towards the door to wait for an answer.

''Sure,'' said Aunt Holiday, ''sweetheart...'' The pegasus filly exits outside of the door and gets on her scooter to travel to the cutiemark crusader clubhouse.

On the way, Scootaloo showed off her awesome tricks on her scooter to everypony but she stopped when she reached at the Ponyville bridge. She could hear noises coming out of a purple and green tent. Pinkie Pie unexpectedly popped in front of the orange pegasus filly and placed a party hat, that was striped with purple streaks, on top of her head.

The dynamic pony pushed the pegasus filly into the party tent that was full of lots of wonderful decorations and balloons floating in the air everywhere. The mane six were dancing out of enjoyment, the princesses were congratulating Spike on earning his wonderful wings. Starlight Glimmer and Trixie were doing cheers with their punch cups and taking a sip of it. Not to mention Pinkie Pie's party cannon, in the corner of the tent, exploding every five minutes.

''What is this?'' asked Scootaloo, who was shocked that she wasn't warned about a party in Ponyville and how Pinkie Pie managed to put up this tent all in one day as she never seen this tent yesterday before. But of course, Pinkie Pie is just Pinkie Pie, she can do anything and break the forth wall.

''This is a party to celebrate Spike's new wings!'' Pinkie Pie gestured over to the banner that had a caption saying, 'Our Little Baby Unique Dragon Has Finally Accomplished His Wings!' Pinkie Pie nudged the pegasus filly to enjoy the party with the others, where the pink pony bounced around and joined Rainbow Dash and Apple Jack, who were busy stuffing their faces in a pool of water and apples.

Of course, even a baby dragon that was probably the only one who never had wings can fly now. Scootaloo felt even more despondent because of this party. She gently flapped her small feathered wings with a tear dropping from her purple eyes. Why was she so different compared to the other pegasus fillies? Why can't she fly yet? Is there a reason to this? Is there a way for her wings to grow and fly?

Approximately, a orange dragon with blue eyes and magenta scales walked up towards the pegasus filly and approach why she is not enjoying the party and... ''Hey, why are you crying? You are supposed to be enjoying this party,'' the dragon said. The filly shot her head up at the fierce dragon in hesitant.

She quickly wiped her tears away from her eyes and quickly adjusted, ''what are you talking about? I'm not crying,'' she chuckled nervously. The dragon raised her eyebrows at her. Lucky for the pegasus, the dragon couldn't get a word in as two fillies came running up towards the pegasus filly and excitingly approached her with a grin. ''There you are, Scootaloo. We were getting worried that you weren't coming to this party,'' said Apple Bloom.

Scootaloo smiled. ''There is no way I am missing out an awesome party that Pinkie Pie holds.'' Sweetie Belle cheerfully pushed her to the dance floor. ''Well then let's get this party started!'' The three candy corn fillies were showing off their wicked dance moves on the dance floor, having a crowd cheering the pegasus filly on and making it a dance battle between the three fillies. The crowd all started yelling the pegasus' name.

Apple Bloom stopped dancing to see why everypony were shouting out her friend's name and crowding around them. She guessed that this might be an epic dance battle. She continued on dancing but of course, Scootaloo was winning as she brought her scooter into this and started jiggling around on it.

A rainbow pegasus mare was surprised by this and joined the crowds cheering. Scootaloo saw this and immediately stepped it up a bit further to impress her role model. She wanted to impress her idle with some flying tricks but she remembered that she can't fly yet which made her slow her dance moves down. Fluttershy and Apple Jack saw this and wondered why her moves went downhill.

''And that's it, folks! That is the end of the dance battle and Apple Bloom won!'' Pinkie Pie cried out from taking over Vinyl Scratch position where she was playing the music. Pinkie Pie took this opportunity to throw her off and use the microphone to exclaim the winner of the dance battle. Sweetie Belle and Apple Bloom were confused how Scootaloo didn't win and so was Scootaloo herself.

The crowd had frowny expressions on but reformed it to a cheerful one and lifted Apple Bloom up in the air. Scootaloo swayed her head to the ground, until a rainbow maned mare pegasus approached her with a nudge. ''I got to say that even if you did not win, I am still proud of you, kiddo. The dance moves you pulled out were awesome!''

The pegasus looked up at her idle's expression and smiled a bit but turned it into a frown again. ''Hey, is anything the matter, Scoots?'' the elder mare asked.

''No,'' she uttered. ''Not exactly, I just can't help but think that I am... well, useless.''

''And... why would you think that?'' Rainbow Dash held up her practical sister in the air and made her sit on her back. ''You are a cutiemark crusader member for crying out loud! Not to mention, you hold such great moves on that scooter of yours. I can't be anymore grateful to have your life.''

Scootaloo's eyes widened in shock. ''You might want to change your mind on what you said.'' Rainbow Dash looked at her with a meaningful look. ''And why is that?'' Scootaloo looked up at her sister. ''I can't fly like you,'' she slowly flapped her small wings.

''So?'' the rainbow maned pegasus said, ''flying is not what makes me 20% awesome. Do you know what makes me awesome?'' The filly raised her eyebrows at her with a questioned look. ''I'm loyal to my friends, save Equestia and... I have the best little sister in the whole entire world.'' She took her little sister off her back and fidgeted with her purple mane that made her chuckle cutely.

Unknowingly, a baby dragon was eavesdropping... I meant to say observing over the two pegasi behind two red balloons hovering above the ground. He was checking if everything was alright. He smiled at the sisterly love and thought of an idea to also make his friend happy. He stepped aside from the two red balloons for the two pegasi to see him. He ran towards the pegasus filly.

''WOW!'' the dragon exclaimed in shock. ''Scootaloo, you are amazing! How did you manage to overthrow Apple Bloom with those cool awesome dance moves of yours and your scooter tricks as well!''

The filly blushed and the elder mare smirked at her.

''She just has talents that most ponies don't have,'' said Rainbow Dash. ''And see, Scoots. Spike was born without wings even though dragons his age are supposed to have them. He considered himself as 'different' and there is nothing wrong with that, right?''

''Yeah,'' Spike agreed. ''I will admit that when I didn't have wings, I felt like I was worthless and different from my kind but I got used to this fate and considered myself to be the luckiest dragon in all of Equestia with my most amazing friends!''

Pinkie Pie jumped in between them out of no where and gasped. ''IS THIS A SCOOTALOO-FINALLY-ACCEPTING-HER-FATE PARTY?'' Apple Jack and Apple Bloom walked towards them and gave Pinkie Pie serious looks on why she ruined the moment. Pinkie Pie chimed down to the floor with a squeal and narrowed eyes on her facial expression.

She jumped back up and exclaimed, ''I have get all my party supplies and party cannon gathered up for the party I am going to be hosting.'' She pulled out a green reptilian alligator out of her luscious pink mane. ''Come on, Gummy! We have another party to celebrate!'' She ran outside of the party tent, leaving smiles on the four ponies and dragon faces.
