Celestia never thought of becoming a mother, though she doesn't have a biological child. And she didn't even have time to think about that. After the unfortunate lost of her sister Luna, Celestia never really wanted to be a mother. But one night, everything changed when she discovered a strange looking baby creature with mythical powers. Unable to hold back her motherly side, she adopted the baby as her son. And she named him Vulcan.

However, due to his strange and terrifying power over fire, many ponies accused Vulcan and viewed him as the reincarnation of Daybreaker. Due to those problems, Vulcan's childhood is almost in isolation.

Overtime, Celestia learned a dark truth; Vulcan is actually a demon child that was supposed to be destroyed by the Skyfire (A mythological Thunderbolt). But a mother will do whatever she can to protect her child; even if he's a reincarnated demon.
