Gears, Spike and woodfire
1300 hours, October 20,2010

As the trio arrived at the gulag, they came across two stallions; the two men appeared to be Daring-do’s men. Gears walked up to them, carefully. As the two saw them they pointed their weapons at the trio, they aimed back. As the standoff was going strong Spike decided to break the ice.

“You two a part of Daring-do’s resistance?” Spike said.

“Winds, they look like alliance forces.” One stallion said to the other that was named winds.

“You’re right but still we don’t know this could be a trap.” Winds said

“How about we introduce ourselves, I’m Spike and these two are my friends Gears and Woodfire.” Spike said to the duo.

“I’m Care Root, and this is my coltfriend Curly Winds.” Care said to the three

“You don’t have to say that, they don’t need to know.” Winds said

“What are you two doing here anyway?” Gears questioned

“We aren’t telling you.” Winds spat at Gears.

“Why you little sh-” Gears was cut off by Spike

“Don’t mind him but if you could lend us a hoof and help us get are friends back? that will be appreciated.” Spike said to the duo

“Who’s the friends?” Care asked

Scootaloo, Gray and Daring-do.” Spike informed

“Hay, we're here for her to.” Care said

“Care!” Winds said.

“Well then you can lend a hoof then, come on.” Spike said

“Wait let me speak to Care in private for a bet.” Winds said

As they walked a short distance away, Gears walked up to Spike and said “ Spike we don’t even know who these ponies are, these guys could shoot us in the ass when we’re not looking.” Gears said

“I interrogated enough people to know when someone is lying and they are not lying.” Spike said.

“Fine, but if anyone gets killed because of them, I swear I'm smoking them.” Gears said in annoyance.

“That's fine by me.” Spike said

As the couple came back they both looked determined. Winds was the first to speak “well help to get are leader back but your friends are secondary to us.”

“Then we were at an agreement then.” Spike said.

“Ok, we don’t have the option of stealth so we got to be metathetical in are planning.” Spike said

An hour later, the now five men got everything they needed for this attack. As the two spit into a group of two, one started back to radio info over the comms. Gears and Spike were group one, group two was comprised of Winds, and Woodfire.

“Group Two, you go in through the front, Gears we’re going to find another way around and enter where they won’t expect.” Spike order

As Gears and Spike made their way around, they found a side door with armed guards on alert to stop anyone from coming in or getting out. Gears pulled out his Gaili and fired it at the guards, Spike doing the same as both guards were filled with bullets. Spike and Gears walked into the gulag and they were looking for the cell as this was happening, they began to talk.

“So what are you going to do when you see scootaloo, kiss her, flirt with her or something else.” Spike said playfully

Gears blushed and said “this ain't the time to flirt now lets rescue some soldiers.”

“Ok but how did you get this crush? You only saw her for a day.” Spike asked

“Sometimes it just takes a look.” Gears said hiding his blush

“Oh the love at first sight type of thing I got it.” Spike said mockingly

“You know I hate that bullshit.” Gears said annoyed.

“Yeah but it's fun to piss you off.” Spike said jokingly

“Ha, whatever come on let go and find Scootaloo and Gray.” Gears said with a chuckle

1500 hours, October 20, 2010

Scootaloo and Gray were in a cell. The alarm was blaring for an hour now and they were working on a way to escape. Scootaloo was taking the initiative, she got a wire and a screwdriver and working at the lock when she started to hear gun fire coming closer the guards were shooting at a familiar duo, it was Gears and Spike they were using every trick in the book to kill them it was a blood bath to say the least.

“SCOOTALOO, YOU IN HERE!” Gears yelled over the gunfire.

“OVER HERE SERGEANT!” Scootaloo shouted back and got his attention immediately.

“Spike this is the right place.” Gears said excitedly.

“Ha, go get her tiger.” Spike said in mock encouragement.

“Knock it off Spike.” Gears said to him before looting a guards body for the keys to the cells. He tried several keys before he opened the cell. As Scootaloo walked out of the cell, Gears stared at her. She looked right back, she noticed a blush appearing on his face as he watched her, he started to feel embarrassed realizing that was staring.

“Hey, you two can look into each other's eyes later we have a job to do.” Spike said in a commanding tone.

“Right, let's get a move on.” Gray Cloud said.

As everyone armed themselves Scootaloo pulled Gray to the side.

“Do you know why the sarge was looking at me?” Scootaloo asked

“No clue but he might fancy you.” Gray said

“Not possible, I mean who would want to date me.” Scootaloo said sadly

“He might want to, look, don't question it, he will tell you when he’s ready. If he does” Gray said

“Ok but let's get moving and get to work.” Scootaloo said.

As the four are going through looking for their HVI they find a small room where she is being held. The group radioed to Winds and got him and Woodfire to get to their position. After they all meet up at their rally point, they discuss on how they can get to the room without being killed. Then scootaloo had an Idea.

“Hay does anyone have any incendiaries? I know what we can do.” Scootaloo said with a smrek.

Woodfire spoke up “I got some.” he said happily.

“Ok what are you planning exactly?” Spike questioned.

“I set the fire trap and once it goes off, we go in swing.” Scootaloo said.

“Base but a good plan, Good job Scootaloo.” Gears complemented.

“Thanks sarge.” Scootaloo said.

As she got the incendiaries, Scootaloo crawled through the room trying not to get caught. She put the fire bomb under the chair and in the colored dust bean. Scootaloo crawled back to the group and got her equipment that Gears was holding on to. A bet of waiting, the C.O.R soldiers triggered the incendiaries and the room was partially set ablaze some of the fire was green.

“It so beautiful” Woodfire said in genuinely amazed
“Open fire!” Gears yelled.

As the six of them were firing on burning and non burning me alike, as the room was cleared everyone rushed in the room and gun down the three men holding Daring hostage.

“Clear” Spike said

“Clear” Gears said

“Daring been awhile.” Spike said to her.

She spit blood out of her mouth and said “yeah it has, hasn’t it.”

“Gears call for extraction” Spike ordered.

ok this is it second to the last chapter for act 1.
hopeful you guys like the characters and I'm thinking of writing about applebloom, glittershell, and lightning blitz as a little spin off, might not, who knows just say in the comments if you like the idea.
