Sunburst and Starlight’s Interesting Day

Another King Sombra babysitting story. Hopefully this’ll turn out okay than the other past stories I did.
Sunburst and Starlight have been belittled by their parents, and have grown tired of it. However; instead of trying to get revenge on their parents, they’ve somehow decided to just accept it for now, and have a fun day for once. Well.. after they make a few arrangements first. And think/talk it through
Prologue: Sunburst and Starlight’s Embarrassing Day
It was a bright and sunny day in Sires Hollow. The sky is blue, the multi-colorful flowers are blooming, and the grass is getting greener every second. Everything was warm and peaceful in the land of Sires. Well... almost peaceful....
“Daad”, Starlight whined. “Why did you say that about me to Sunburst?” Her dad replied, “I just can’t help it sugar plum. You were just so cute when you did that, that I just had to tell him. I mean; you were best friends with him back then, and you still are now.” Starlight was about to say something mean back to her father, but thought the better of it, and left it be.. not after what she said to her dad the last time she visited Sires Hollow; and that was for a Friendship Map Mission with her pal Sunburst.
Speaking of which, Sunburst is also being embarrassed by his parent as well. “Moom. How many times do I have to tell you, I know what I’m gonna do okay? We’ve just talked about this for the hundredth time. I can do things on my own. Plus, I can plan my life on my own too. I don’t need you helping me all the time.” Sunburst’s mom however, thinks otherwise. “Oh cmon now. Everypony needs a backup plan every now and again. I mean, you still have some plans that I’ve made for you, right?” Sunburst just groaned and growled with anger, and just left before nodding slightly with anger.
After the two of them said their goodbyes and left, Starlight and Sunburst were just fuming at this point; angry that not only did their parents embarrass them again, but it’s also because of the fact that their parents have seemed to have forgotten whatever lesson it is that they’ve been taught by their kids. Oh well.. that’s parents for you. They can be annoying and embarrassing for you; whether you like it or not.
Once Starlight and Sunburst both returned to the Crystal Empire, they both laid down on their respective guest beds in the castle, and just blurted out; “this is the worst day that I’ve ever been through”, and covered their faces with one of their pillows.
Why were Sunburst and Starlight in the Crystal Empire? Simple; they were housesitting for the Royal Family for an entire month, while they go on a zeppelin vacation with Princess Twilight, and her family, to the Everfree Mountains. How the Everfree Forest has mountains, is a mystery.
So with that little gesture, the two of them drifted off to sleep, (even though it’s still day out), and slept for a pretty long time. However, right before they woke up, something within them suggests that if they don’t find a way to “destress” soon, then there’d be Tartarus to pay. But.. once they were about to wake up, both of them had an idea. Yet... they’re unsure as to whether if it’s a good one or not...
Chapter One: A Seemingly Crazy Idea
Once the two have woken up, it was already noon. There were a few clouds, but not much to warrant it a cloudy day. Starlight and Sunburst both got up with a yawn, rubbed their eyes, stretched their hooves, and then went to their respective bathrooms to get themselves ready for the day.
After the two got done with getting ready for the day, Starlight went ahead to the guest kitchen, and prepared herself some coffee to drink. Meanwhile, Sunburst is at the kitchen stove; preparing himself some pancakes to eat for breakfast. After the two were done with their tasks, they repeated the process in the kitchen, but in reverse; (meaning that Sunburst is now making himself some coffee, while Starlight is making herself some pancakes. Reason why is because they were so wiped out from yesterday, that basically their brains were just running on autopilot at this point).
Whilst they were having breakfast at the breakfast table in the kitchen, Starlight began to ask, “so, Sunburst, I just got this crazy idea, wanna hear it?” Sunburst just groaned nonchalantly for Starlight to continue. With a pout, she continued “okay, look. I know that yesterday was.... hard. But I’ve been thinking. What if we... I don’t know... have an old villain named King Sombra foalsit us?” This caused Sunburst’s eyes to grow wide, and he exclaimed, “are you nuts?! No way in the world are we ever gonna have an old villain foalsit us; let alone even be here, understand?!” Starlight furrowed her eyebrows at him, and she exclaimed, “yeah, but so what?! If we don’t find a way to calm ourselves down soon, then we could potentially explode from all that anger! It’s happened before, so don’t even tempt it!” After the two calmed down, Sunburst then says “alright.. I think I can handle this idea. But wait, we have to think it through though. Like, what happens if King Sombra were to hurt us, or take over the Crystal Empire again, or worse?”
Out of nowhere, Sombra just walked in, and said “so what? If I were to be villainous, then I’m sure that you two can handle the situation, right? I mean, you did handle your embarrassing parents again back in Sires Hollow. So why not?” Both Starlight and Sunburst were stunned; stunned that not only is King Sombra here, but also the fact that he’s back, and could be hungry for revenge. Plus the fact that he knew anything and everything about their personal lives. But, before neither of them had a chance to act, King Sombra simply placed a hoof in front of them, and explained his reasoning as to why he was here in the first place. “Okay, so get this...” he began.
Chapter Two: A Weird Yet Understandable Question
After King Sombra explained his reasoning as to how and why he’s back, Starlight and Sunburst both turned to each other and then back to Sombra. Starlight then says, “so let me get this straight. Not only that you’ve came back because of a summoning spell, but also here because of us?” Sombra blinked, and says, “yes.” Starlight took a step back, and says “okay... but that still doesn’t explain as to literally how you were summoned, or literally why you’re here.” Sombra sighs, and then starts explaining some things; hoping that things will be simplified for the two unicorns to understand.
After what seemed like an eternity, Starlight simply nodded, and says “ooh, so that’s how. But wait; you sure that it was because of us? Or something else?” Sombra sighed, and stated “I have no idea if I’m being honest. But all I do know is that you two needed to destress somehow, and I think I can help with that. What’ya say?“ Both Starlight and Sunburst turned to each other and started whispering to each other. After that, both turned around, and Starlight stated, “okay, I think I’ve made my decision. However...”. Sombra sighs with a groan while putting a hoof to his face, and rolling his eyes. “What is it now? Is it fine if you tell me what the problem is right now? Or do I have to get you another villain or someone else to help you with your predicament?” Starlight waved her hooves, and says “no no, I’ve made my decision. However... um.. is it okay if.. I don’t know... um.. maybe we can... you know... still talk if you do this?” Sombra asked “what do you mean by that?” Starlight then just blurted out “will you just babysit us and turn us into infants that can still talk?” Sombra blinked again, but then says “I guess I can do that. But wait, you sure about that? I’m not so sure that it’s a good idea. And I’m the one who would usually get you two in trouble; not the way where you get yourselves in trouble, you know?” Both simply nodded, and Starlight continued “yeah... but... is it okay if you can babysit us? Just this once... please?” Starlight looked at him with puppy dog eyes. Sombra sighs, and says “okay now, but no causing trouble, alright? That’s my job.” Starlight nodded, and says “okay”, before backing up to Sunburst.
Sombra then blasts the two of them with his magic, and waits for the smoke to clear. Once it has, both Sunburst and Starlight are both foals again.
Sunburst and Starlight blushed whilst covering their diapers, but then turned to Sombra, and says “thank you” in high pitched voices. Sombra then smiled slightly, and says “you’re welcome.” After that, both Starlight and Sunburst started to jump up and down laughing because of not only their energy, but also because they’re excited. Sombra could only hope that this little adventure between the three of them would end well, because something deep inside him tells him that this is just the beginning...
Chapter Three: A Hectic Day
Few hours have passed, and it seems that these two foals haven’t let up just yet. King Sombra was basically having his hooves on his head; sweating, and thinking “how in the world do they have so much energy all of a sudden? This is not gonna end well for me.”
After what seems like five minutes, the two foals have stopped, and finally collapsed to the ground while panting from exhaustion. Sombra walked up to them, chuckled slightly, and asks “you two feeling alright? That was quite a marathon you two ran.” Starlight and Sunburst both gestured as if to give him a thumbs up, even though they don’t have hands. Sombra then gave them sippy cups full of water, and sat waiting for them to accept his offering. They obliged, and started drinking from their cups. Where’d the cups came from, who knows? Maybe by the foal’s magic, or by Sombra’s shadow form acting as a portable pocket of sorts, (like pinkie pie’s mane). Either way, it’s a mystery.
Five more minutes passed, and they both sighed in relief that they’re no longer exhausted. With that, Sombra asks “so, now that that’s over with, what do y’all wanna do next?” Before both of the infants can answer that question, both of their stomachs started growling, and rumbling. Sombra then knew what that meant, and picked them up. “So” he began, “what do y’all wanna eat?” Starlight said that she wants some pancakes for lunch, while Sunburst said that he just wants a sandwich. Sombra nodded, but then asks Starlight; “wait, didn’t you already have pancakes for breakfast?” Starlight nodded, but looks at him in surprise, shock, and confusion, and asks him nervously, “y-yeah. H-how did you know that?” Sombra simply says “because I’m a villain. I know almost everything there is to know about my enemies. Now then, let’s get y’all something to eat.”
After Sombra places the two foals in their respective booster seats (despite him not owning any booster seats himself, or just conjures/summons them somehow), he then decided to go and check for any ingredients for their meals. Sunburst struggles to escape from his booster seat, and succeeded. Starlight followed suit, and they both decided to escape from their chairs and went off to play whilst giggling; unbeknownst to Sombra, who was busy gathering up the ingredients. Once he turned back, he saw that the two infants were gone, and dropped all the ingredients he gathered onto the table so he can go and find the two infants.
Sombra searched high and low for the two foals, but couldn’t find them for some reason. So after he gave up, he decided to head back to the kitchen so he can prepare their meals for them in case they came back. However, right before he could do that, he found the two foals with their meals. Sombra; shocked, and confused, simply asks “h-how. W-what?” Both foals giggled, before Starlight simply stated “magic.” After that statement, Sombra blushed, and says “sure thing”, before leaving to go wait for them to finish their meals.
After the two finished their meals, they both started whining to prompt Sombra to carry them. Once that happened, Sombra then takes the two foals back into Flurry Heart’s room to figure out what to do with them next.
In Flurry Heart’s room, there’s a lot of toys strewn on the ground. Sombra, (knowing that it’s them obviously), asks them if they made that mess. Both foals looked ashamed of each other and nodded at him. Sombra sighed, and reassures them that it wasn’t too big of a deal, but to clean up next time. The babies agreed, and Sombra walked towards the center of the mess to get them to play with some toys.
Starlight and Sunburst were both busy playing with their own sets of toys, when suddenly Starlight frowned, and started walking towards King Sombra whilst holding a plushie in her hooves. Sombra was occupied with reading a random filly’s story because he was bored, and didn’t pay the foals no mind. Starlight tugged on his cape, and says “I’m bored. Let’s do something else.” Sombra closes the book, and asks “what do you wanna do then?” Starlight was about to answer, when suddenly she saw a very interesting book in Sombra’s shadowhand. She then asks him in her cute filly voice and eyes; “will you wead me dat stowy pwease?” Sombra sighs for a bit, and says “okay, but no funny business, got it?” Starlight nodded and waits for Sombra to respond. “Okay then” he says, “let’s get this story started.” He then picks up Starlight, sits her on his lap, and opens the book he was reading. “Once upon a time...” he began.
After five minutes, Starlight began to yawn and fall asleep. Sunburst followed suit, (as he was exhausted from playing with his plushie, and running around with it). Sombra smiles, and let’s the two sleep on his lap, while he too, falls asleep; leaning against the bed frame of Flurry Heart’s bed.
Little did he know that this’ll only get worse from here on out...
Chapter Four: Cranky Foals and Diapered Goals
Some time has passed, and the three ponies are still asleep. The sun is still out since it isn’t nighttime yet. Sombra was leaning against the bed frame that he used as a means to make himself comfortable when the two infants sat on his lap, and is snoring softly while still asleep. Meanwhile, Sunburst and Starlight are asleep still as well, but with a catch. They weren’t tired before, but exhausted. Maybe it’s because that they were infants again, they kind of gotten out of control, and kinda burned themselves out with all of their activities they did at once. However, little do they know, is that their day is gonna continue onward a little more worse for the wear...
“W-what time is it?” Starlight said with a yawn whilst rubbing one of her eyes. Sunburst got up too, but with a stretch, and with him rubbing his eyes as well. “I don’t know. But we sure are tired huh?” Sunburst said with a tired smile. Just then, their tummies began to growl and rumble, and then they felt something. “Uh oh”, both of them said. Sombra got up; having heard the growling noise, and asks sleepily “w-what’s that noise?” After he regained his composure, he turns to see two infants clutching their growling bellies. “Hungry again?” Sombra asks. Both of the babies shook their heads no, and Starlight whined, “our tummies hurt.” Sombra got the idea and says “aah, okay then. C’mere so I can help y’all.” They obliged and Sombra sat them on his lap to rub one of their bellies. Starlight was panting fast and heavily because Sombra was rubbing her belly first. After a few seconds, she groaned and winced of her tummy growling and aching still, and then she grunts; causing her diapered bottom to grow in size as she starts to relieve herself of the pain, and pressure. Unfortunately, Sombra can also feel it, and groaned while saying “sheesh kid, you two have to go that badly huh? Hehe, I’m surprised that y’all didn’t explode yet.” Starlight and Sunburst both nodded a bit shyly and chuckled a little with a smile, then Starlight continued grunting to relieve herself. Soon afterwards, she sighs with relief, and starts to relax. Both Sombra and Sunburst laughed at that gesture; causing Starlight to blush and cover the front of her diaper from embarrassment; even though it wasn’t gonna help much. Sunburst then raised one of his hooves with slight excitement, and says “ooh ooh, my turn.” Sombra sighs again, and says “okay kid, just try not to overload your pants now, you hear?” Sunburst nodded and raises his hooves. Starlight got out of the way, then Sombra sat Sunburst down on his lap, and began rubbing his belly. Sunburst did the same gestures as Starlight, but with something extra. He let one rip first, followed by a grunt, and the sound of a diaper being filled nearly to the brim with number two. And with that, Sunburst also sighs with relief, and chuckles. Sombra groans, laughs slightly, and says “okay now, since you two have clearly made some stink bombs, mind if I defuse them? Both nodded and raised their hooves.
After Sombra placed the two foals on the changing table, he started to change them. However, before he can give them both new diapers to wear, Starlight and Sunburst both got off the changing table, and started running around so that way it’ll be harder for Sombra to diaper them. Sombra sighs, chuckles, and says “if that’s how y’all are gonna be about it, then so be it.” And with that, Sombra gave chase.
Sunburst was caught first; as he was closer to Sombra. Starlight however; was trickier, and decided to hide from Sombra. Sombra; seeing that Starlight is nowhere to be found, but knows that she’s still around the room, playfully says “okay then Starlight. If you won’t stop hiding, then I guess I’ll have to give your plushie a diaper of their own. What do you say?” Starlight then came out, and whined “nooo. That plushie is potty twained.” She then grabs the plushie from King Sombra, and hugs it with little tears in her eyes. Sombra looked at Starlight while saying “aww”, pets her head, and says “it’s okay Starlight, I was only kidding, alright?” Starlight turned away from him and says in a huff “no, go away.” Sombra sighs and says “alright then, I’ll let you be for a while, okay? Just let me know when you’re done being cranky, and I’ll help you out. Is that okay?” Starlight hits the air as to make Sombra go away, and he did. Afterwards, Starlight sat down on the ground, but not before rubbing her bottom as she knew that she wasn’t wearing a diaper yet. Still whining slightly, she then got up and went to where Sombra was; which was by Flurry Heart’s bed.
Sombra was leaning against the bed frame again whilst sitting on the floor, just taking in the beauty of the room’s ceiling decor and appearance, when suddenly he felt a slight tug to his cape, and looked to see Starlight with her plushie and sucking on one of her hooves. Sombra smiles, and asks, “you need your diaper before being cranky?” Starlight nodded, and points to the diaper that Sombra was still holding. With that, he diapered Starlight, and sat her on his lap again while laying her head down on his chest. She fussed and squirmed a bit, but eventually calmed down and starts sucking on her hoof again while hugging her plushie with the other one.
After a few minutes, Starlight was calm, and relaxes on Sombra’s lap. Sombra looked at Starlight slightly nervous, and asks with a smile “you don’t need another diaper do you? Cuz I just changed you.” Starlight giggled, and says “nope. I didn’t go potty yet. So it’s okay.” Sombra nodded, and says “okay, that’s good then.” He then pats Starlight’s belly, and looks back up at the ceiling to enjoy the appearance of the ceiling itself.
Few more minutes passed, and Sunburst came to Sombra and Starlight in a huff. Starlight asks “what’s wrong?” and leans towards Sunburst slightly because she was a little worried of him. Sunburst just fussed, hitted the air, and says “I don’t wanna talk about it.” Sombra then looked to see that Sunburst got a bruise on his right arm. He then asks “need somepony to kiss that for you?” Sunburst nodded and walked towards Sombra. Starlight leaned back onto Sombra, saw what Sunburst was being cranky about, and gasped “you got ouchies?” Sunburst nodded with little tears in his eyes. “Aww, poor kid”, says Sombra. “Let’s make that little bummer go away eh? What’ya say?” Sunburst nodded and raised his hooves with a slight wince since one of them is hurt. Sombra then sat Sunburst next to Starlight, and starts rubbing his belly gently as a means to calm him down. Meanwhile, Starlight hugged Sunburst, and kissed his little ouchie. Sunburst smiled slightly at that gesture, and hugs Starlight. Afterwards, all three looked up at the ceiling, and admired its appearance.
The three ponies were all having a good time. But unfortunately though, this wasn’t the end of the day, and Sombra could only know as to what’s gonna happen when that time comes. Only one way to find out...
Chapter Five: A Messy Dinner and a Fussy Bedtime
It was almost nighttime; with the sun still out, but with the sky in different colors as the sun was setting. Sombra and the two infants were still looking up at the ceiling of the bedroom when a few hours had passed. However, after a few minutes went by, something went wrong...
“*sighs*, don’t you just love the ceiling decor? It’s rather amazing isn’t it?” Sombra was really calm and relaxed; since not only is he amazed at the ceiling’s decor, but he was also glad that Starlight and Sunburst hadn’t made a fuss about anything; yet. Starlight sighs, and replies “yeah, it’s breathtaking.” Sunburst just replies also with a nod while having a relaxing catnap, (even though his eyes weren’t closed, and he wasn’t actually napping). Just then, both of the infant’s tummies started growling. Sombra looked down at the two, and asks “you two hungry?” Both of them nodded, and raised their hooves with a smile. Sombra smiles also, and says “alright then, let’s get y’all something to eat.” And with that, he starts to carry the two in his magic, got up from the floor, and walks with them to the kitchen.
Sombra then sat the two down on their highchairs again once they arrived to the kitchen, and went to go look for something for them to eat. It’s only been a few seconds, and Starlight is already beginning to lose her patience. “I’m hungwy. When’s dinner?” she whined. Sombra looked at Starlight, and says “in a minute. I’m still looking for something that you two can eat without making too much of a mess.” Starlight frowned at that response, and says “owkay den”, before going back to being pouty and whiney. After a few minutes, Sombra has placed a bowl of oatmeal for the two foals on their highchairs to eat; while Sombra sat down on the table, and placed himself a nice sandwich for him to eat. “Enjoy”, he says, and starts to eat his sandwich. Both foals followed suit, and began eating their oatmeal.
However; like lunchtime, they’ve eventually gotten bored of the same old routine, and both foals just decided to toss their oatmeal all over the place. Sombra was just too busy to notice the mess that’s being made, when suddenly he was hit with some oatmeal. He placed his sandwich down a little hard on his plate, got up to walk towards the foals, took a breath, and then says in a raised voice, “look kids; I know that you two are having fun and all, but let’s make things clear here.” He took a moment to take a deep breath, and then says in a slight threatening tone, “if I am to make y’all something to eat, you eat it, got it? Otherwise, there’d be Tartarus to pay if you were to do otherwise, or something else of the sorts; like making a mess for example, okay?” Both Starlight and Sunburst got a little teary eyed, and nodded their heads in shame. “Owkay Sombwa. We sowwy”, they said in unison. Sombra breathed as a means to calm himself down a little, and says “alright then. That’s what I figured”, before going back to finish his dinner.
Once all three ponies were finished with their meals, Sombra breathed again, but with a sigh of relief because he’s satisfied with his dinner. The foals however; were done with their meals, but are feeling cranky because they still feel bad for what they did to Sombra, and to the kitchen. With that, Sombra cleaned up the mess, picked the two foals up from their highchairs, and then went to Flurry Heart’s bedroom again to either calm them down, or at least put them to bed early. However, once the three arrived to the bedroom, Starlight and Sunburst both just couldn’t take it anymore, and started crying. Sombra then knew what was happening, and goes to place them on Flurry’s bed so he can attempt to calm them down. “Hey hey, it’s okay”, he says as a means to reassure them, “no need to get all cranky, it’s okay.” He then took a deep breath, regains his composure, and says “look kids; I know that it’s been a tough day and all, but that’s really no good reason to cry like that? Okay? It’ll be alright, I promise. Okay?” The two foals stopped crying a little, but not completely. Sombra then knew what the problem was, and then continues by saying, “look kids; I know that it’s been hard to get a threat of punishment like that, but you’ve gotta understand; I don’t like doing that as much as you do, and I only did it because you two were making a mess and not eating your oatmeal like I’ve told y’all to, understand?” Both foals stopped crying some more, then Starlight said, “b-but we wanted to have fun. W-we’re just babies.” Sombra sighs in slight annoyance, and then says in a disapproving tone with a look of disappointment, “I know that, but still... babies or otherwise, you two should know better than to cause a ruckus like that when y’all were turned back into babies, alright? It’s just not nice, and it isn’t right, okay? You two should know better than that. You two know better than this, okay?” Both of the foals understood the situation that they’ve caused, and then nodded their heads in defeat and slight shame. “We’re sorry”, they said in unison again. Sombra sighs in a way to calm himself down, and says, “alright then. That’s all I need to know”, before picking up the two foals, and embracing them in a hug. The foals then smiled, and hugged Sombra with a warm embrace of their own. After that was settled, they all stopped hugging each other, but are still smiling.
Suddenly, Starlight started to yawn, and so did Sunburst. With that, Sombra laid the two on the bed, and placed a blanket over them. “Sleep tight”, he said in a caring tone. “See you two tomorrow; hopefully as grownups again, hehe.” Both of the foals nodded, and yawned before falling asleep. However, as soon as Sombra began to get up and leave, Starlight said something that stopped him in his tracks. “Wait, Sombra, come back.” Sombra stopped for a moment, then turned back to see what was the problem. “Yes Starlight? What’s the matter?” Starlight breathed for a moment to calm herself down first, then says in a pleading tone, “will you wead us a bedtime stowy, pwease?” Her eyes looked like that of a foal’s, and she was basically pleading with Sombra to do this task for her. Sombra sighs in slight discomfort, and says, “I guess I can read y’all a bedtime story before bed, but I thought you two were going to sleep already?” Sunburst got up a little, and says, “we were, but we wanted you to stay with us for a little longer.” Starlight nodded in agreement, and says, “yeah, we do.” Sombra smiles at that gesture, and then says, “aww, okay then. I’ll stay with y’all for a while longer. Okay.” Both of the foals smiled, and then Sombra got up to find a book to read them for a bedtime story. Sombra was about to choose something to read to them, when he was stopped again by Starlight, who then says, “wait, no. Not those books.” Sombra then went to go lay on the bed with them, and asks, “why not?” Starlight got up close, and says, “we don’t want those stories. We want you to tell us a story; any kind.” Sombra got a bit uneasy; as he doesn’t know on how to come up with a story on a whim, and asks, “you sure about that?” Starlight nodded her head in affirmation, and then replies, “yes. I’m sure.” Sombra smiled a little, and then says, “alright then, why not? Come closer”, he gestured to the two foals. They did so, and then Sombra laid them on his lap again with their heads laying against him, and then he starts, “okay kids, get this. So, when I was the ruler of this kingdom, I was...”.
After a few minutes, Sombra finished the story by saying, “...and they all lived happily ever after; the end.” Both foals were laying asleep on Sombra while softly snoring. Sombra smiled, and then whispers, “ sweet dreams kids. Sweet dreams”, and then sighs before going to sleep as well.
When morning came, Sombra started to wake up first, and rubbed the sleep out of his eyes to get up in the morning. However, right before he was about to get up, he saw that the two foals that he was babysitting, are now right in front of him, and that they were no longer foals, but adults again, and in their original clothing. And also that he wasn’t the first one to get up in the morning after all. Before he could say anything, Starlight got up close to him and then says, “thank you, Sombra; for everything.” Sunburst then replied, “y-yeah, thank you. We couldn’t have done it without you.” Sombra then knew what was going on, and then says, “well, it’s no problem really. I just know how to calm people down is all; no problem really. No biggie.” Both Starlight and Sunburst smiled, and then Starlight says, “well, we’ve best be going now. Be sure to leave before the family comes back, okay? We’ll be fine.” But, just before the two left the room, Sombra got out of bed, and asks, “wait, is it okay if I get one last hug, please? Just before you two leave? I-I know that you two aren’t infants anymore, but it’s just that...” he was soon interrupted by the two ponies hugging him without letting him finish his sentence. With that, he smiled, and then embraced the two in a hug once more. After that, he let them go, and they went on their way. As soon as they left, Sombra walked around the room, and started to look for his stuff before he can leave as well. But just before he can begin, Starlight peeked into the room, and asks, “h-hey, Sombra. I-is it okay if, you know.. you can stay for breakfast with us?” Sombra thought for a moment, and then says, “okay, no problem. I’d like to.”
With that, Sombra left the room with Starlight, and the three ponies had a nice breakfast together.
