The Fall of the Sun
Chapter 2: The Union of Trot-skiers and Revolutionaries
Previous Chapter Next ChapterNot Long ago, the Solar Empire was a land of vast opportunities and promise, opportunity; for the wealthy elite children, promise; for the rich to rule like spoiled barons.
Comrades, I saw a different Equestria.
I saw, A Solar Empire, where the poor live in disgrace, misery and servitude.
Slaves in everything but name.
I have seen boundless hunger and gluttony eating away at the foundation of our once glorious nation.
Slowly corroded by the stains of imperialism.
The heart of the market, where there once was compassion and brotherhood, replaced by greed.
Kindness for mistrust and suspicion.
When we formed the first continental congress of the working class, we were able to see the true face of the Solar Empire.
I saw Stallions, Mares.
I saw Unicorns, Earth ponies and Pegasus.
All killed in cold blood by thugs from Celestia and the wealthy Barons.
The Equestrian worker, betrayed, chained, enslaved.
They thought that they won the war against the workers of Equestria, they thought that their actions had guaranteed the total submission of the poor.
And when Applejack returned from her successful revolutions abroad, she knew, that our time had come.
'Martial law' would be the last insult to the working class.
The Political Hunt by the 'Equestrian Sombra' was the last straw against the proletariat.
We rose up.
And the Sun at Fillydelphia dawned over thousands of comrades carrying the scarlet flag of REVOLUTION!
Tell our 'Sombra'! Tell Filthy Rich! Tell Celestia and her barons!
The revolution is coming home!
Break the chains! BREAK THE CHAINS!
