Changes For The Better

"Young Prince Draco, you have seen only a fraction of your true power. Being the son of not only an Alicorn, but a Dragon as well," a voice spoke to me, "This give a unprecedented amount of magical energy and power."

I couldn't move, I couldn't speak, all I could do was listen as I floated in the dark void of my psyche.

"We will use this power to take back what was rightfully ours to began with, but until that time, I will remain dormant. You must learn how to use your power yet again, your human body can barely contain this power. Even your Alicorn form is currently to weak to handle it, you have gone to long without using your powers."

It was then a bright flash of light began to shine into the void. I then gained control over my body and worked my way toward the light. I began to hear a voice coming from the light as I neared it.

"Once you are ready we shall both watch the fall of the Equestrian Empire..."

It was the final thing the voice spoke as it faded into the darkness of the void.

My eyes opened slowly and my vision returned. Everything was one big blur to start out with, but I could tell right away that I was in an all white room. My hearing return almost instantly as a steady beeping was going off. I looked to my right to see a heart monitor, it was slow, likely because I was weak and had been in rest.

I inspected the room further as I noticed more and more of the objects occupying the room. It was easy to realize I was in a hospital. I had tubes and wires connected to my body keeping track of everything possible. I looked at the door to see it had a window next to it that lead to an office like set-up and waiting room.

Upon closer inspection, I noticed that Celestia was pacing back and forth in front of my door, by the look on her muzzle, she was horrified. But being the Princess she couldn't show signs of weakness to her subjects. As looked at her she glanced back in, seeing that I was awake, her eyes began to water, and a smile made itself known.

She wasted no time practically bursting through the door and rushing to me and wrapping me in a hug. A doctor and a handful of nurses galloped in soon after, they began checking all my vitals and taking notes as Celestia nuzzled into my chest, minding her horn of course, as she broke down crying, thanking Faust that I was okay.

Eventually all the commotion settled down, "Draco, I am so glad you are alright," she spoke.

"Celestia...that...hurts....," I forced out as she hugged the life out of me.

Celestia registered what I had said and released me, allowing me air and less pain. She then moved to the sides as the doctor continued to examine me. After a few minutes the doctor left me and Celestia alone to talk.

I tried to sit up and talk, "Tia...ugh...," I cringed and held my chest in pain.

She noticed my pain and held me in place so I wouldn't move, "Don't try to move brother. You body has reached its limits, so please take it easy."

"Where am I?" I forced out.

"You are in the Canterlot Royal Hospital. This hospital is where Luna, myself, and anypony else of royalty come to be treated. We have only the best of doctors and nurse on the staff."

I nodded and she helped me lie back down as she moved closer next to the hospital bed. I had a billion questions to ask, but I could tell she was reading my mind so I wouldn't have to strain myself while talking. She nodded to me, this simple gesture saying that she would answer my questions, seeing as that I won't be moving for a while.

"How about we start with this? The young mares that you brought back are doing just fine, as is Discord. They are in rooms not too far from here, and from what your memory is telling me, that unicorn had the ability to break one of the most powerful and longest lasting spells placed over all of Equestria."

I tilted my head to side in confusion. I had a lot of my memory back but not all of it, so there were still a lot of things I still didn't know.

Celestia took note of my confusion, "Sorry, I thought you had gotten all your memory. But a long time ago after Luna and I were born, mother had put a spell over all of Equestria and anywhere else within the reach of our world."

"It was, and is simply called 'The Decency Spell'. It is used so that a pony..." She stopped mid-sentence as she blushed at what she was about to say. 'I cannot believe I am having this conversation with my brother,' she thought to herself.

"Well..." I forced out trying to move the conversation forward.

"Well...um...it is a spell that hides..." Celestia was trying to find the proper words to continue, "it...hides...all...the...extra bits." She motioned toward the area between her flanks.

After this it took me only a second to comprehend what she was trying to say. I looked away, as I could feel a heavy blush wash across my face. 'Why am I having this conversation with my sister?,' I thought to myself.

After about a moment of awkward silence she continued, "Yes...well...mother cast the spell for so as to not have everypony trotting about with their 'private parts on display'"

There was another awkward silence that followed after that, but this one lasted much longer then the last. We avoid eye contact for a while, making thing slightly less weird, but I was in Equestria with magical talking ponies. No to mention I was one at some point in the past, and am now part one now.

"No one knows of the spell, only the royal family knows of it existence. And because of its strength and magnitude, only Alicorns have the power and the knowledge to either stop it or recast it at any given time. But over the many millennia it has been around, a few unicorns have been born with the ability to break the spell."

"And Vinyl is one of those rare unicorns?" I forced the question trying to get myself back to sitting up. Celestia was about to tell me to lie back down, but I held my hand up signaling to her that I was fine.

She moved back and continued on, "It would seem that way, yes. An unfortunately, she has been using it in ways that you have already witnessed. What I cannot find out is why she would use it the way she did," Celestia looked out the nearby window and he pondered this.

'Why...why would she use it the way she did?' I thought to myself.

For the next few next hours or so Celestia explained that she sent out guards to secure and clean up the ally way that she had found thanks to my memories, "There will be no trace of anypony ever being there, and anypony who even caught a glimpse of you have had that portion of their memory wiped by Luna."

I sighed, "I can't believe I killed. Never in my life would I have thought I would end something's life the way I did."

Celestia moved to the side of my bed and pulled me into an loving sisterly embrace. "Don't worry about it Draco, you weren't yourself. And you did save those mares, it is what any Prince should do for the innocents of his kingdom."

"Thanks, Tia," I hugged her back.

After a few moments she let me lie back down, "Okay Draco, when you are all healed up we can discuss the Grand Galloping Gala where we shall make your presence known to all of Equestria and beyond."

I tilted my head again in slight confusion, "What do you mean by that?"

"Well, as far as all of Equestria knows, you never existed. After you were banished all those years ago, we erased you from history and the minds of all our subjects. So, until this Grand Galloping Gala, you will remain in the Castle. All the guards and servants have been sworn to secrecy."

"Okay dosen't seem so bad. How long until the next Gala?" I asked, if it wasn't too far off I could wait until then.

"A year." Celestia answered simply.

I was still too tired for me to yell so I did what I could, "A year! I have to be stuck in this castle for a year until the Gala!"

"Calm down, you don't want to strain yourself in your current state," Celestia said in a soothing tone.

I closed my eyes and took deep breathes to calm myself down, "Okay, so I am not going to be allowed outside of the castle walls until the next Gala. There, we shall announce my return to the throne."

"Correct, and until that point, we shall find you a way to change between your human form and your Alicorn form. Also, since you seem to have flying down, we can focus on teaching you how to harness you magical energy."

I nodded in understanding but my mind wandered to Vinyl, Octavia and Discord. Celestia told him they were fine, but I had to know for myself.

"Why? What was that I saw last night? What was happening to Vinyl? It doesn't matter she was being hurt."

These were some of the thoughts that wondered a gray mares head as she lay in a coma from the night before.

"Never before had I experienced such terror and fear," a tear dripped down her face, "I could have been killed. WHY would she put herself through that?"

"Why? No other night had gone like this. It was the same every time: use the spell, pleasure the guy, get the bits, wipe what I could of his memory, and get out."

Now we hear those thoughts of the young, snow white mare. She was in a room next to her friends, she thought of what had gone wrong.

"These stallion were more aggressive than any other. WHY did I have to bring Octavia with me? She could have been killed. We could have been killed."

"For all I know, I could be dead right now."

The unicorn and the earth pony thought in unison.

Discord lay on his hospital bed fully awake staring at the ceiling. Celestia had come in earlier to check on him with Luna. Luna had stayed and talked to Discord about what had happened the night before. He cried at the fact he had taken part in ending somepony's life.

He had cried for hours until he had no more tears to shed. As he stared at the ceiling for hours after that, until eventually his eye lids gave way. He fell into a dream of nothing but a dark room, and at the end was just a speck of light.

He moved closer he could see a figure standing there with a hoof held out to him. It was the size and shape of an
alicorn, with features that strongly resembled Draco's. As he neared there was no doubt in his mind that it was Draco with a warm smile on his face.

"Come on Discord. Everypony else might not have fully forgiven you for what you had done in the past, but I am here to change everything. I will stay by your side and make everything better."

New tears had formed on Discord face. He ran to Draco and the light and jumped into his embrace.

On the outside Discord had a small smile on his lips, and tears streaming down his face.
