Changes For The Better

Discord was sitting on the roof of Canterlot Castle. He had been released from the hospital a few hours ago. When he went to go check on Draco, he was still resting, so he wandered the castle aimlessly as he tried to keep his mind off of what happened a week ago. He had remembered everything the instant he awoke, and he was horrified. Not even before his return had he done something so evil, he would always just play around like everything was a game.

While he wandered, he had somehow ended up on the roof of the castle. He looked out over the vast expanse of the castle grounds, and down on the bustling city of Canterlot. He was reformed in a way, but lots of ponies still didn't trust him, so he remained inside the castle most of the time. As his eyes wandered he realized he was on the roof across the hospital.

'I Thought I had gone to the other end of the castle by how long I was flying around,' Discord thought.

Discord took a closer look and recognized somepony in one of the rooms. A grey earth pony, with a frazzled black mane, laying in a hospital bed. He flew to the window to get a closer look. The window was slightly ajar and the room was empty of all except the mare. He quickly slithered into the window, down the wall, and to the foot of the bed.

"Octavia," Discord read off a chart he noticed at the foot of the bed.

He looked back to the mare in front of him, she had showed no signs of waking. She was in sorry state, and Discord couldn't help but feel sorry for the poor earth pony. She didn't have any magical qualities that could have helped speed the healing process any faster, she was lucky to even be alive after all that had happened.

Discord moved to the side of the bed so he could see her face. She looked peaceful, upset, and terrified at the same time. Discord kneeled and used his claw to move her mane back so it framed her face.

Then he looked to his claw as he pulled it away, 'I may not have my full power but I know I can do something to help her.'

He moved so that he sat on the edge of the bed, and with a very careful and slow movements, he moved Octavia so that he was cradling her upper half. He lifted his eagle claw to her forehead. As he did so, he sparked it with his golden yellow periculum. He took a deep breathe and lightly touched her forehead. The spark sent a golden glow across Octavia's body, which had gone unnoticed by the hospital staff.

She remained unmoving, Discord felt he had failed. He hugged Octavia before laying her back down, and making his way to the window. He looked to the heart monitor before leaving, she was alive that much was certain, but until she came to...she was a lifeless body with a heart beat. As he floated out the window he looked back one last time, ‘I can't give up one her yet. From what happened, Draco seems to really care about her, and for some reason now I do as well.'

I just sat on the edge of my bed wondering what to do. I stayed this way for what felt like hours, but was really just forty-five minutes. During this time a maid had delivered my backpack, which I had with me when Celestia brought me here.

I rummaged through it and found my iPhone and my DJ headphones. Lucky for me I still had quite a bit of battery power in it, I decided to use it only for music. It would save battery until I could find a way to charge it. It was good to be able to listen to my music again, it relaxed me, even at its incredibly high volume.

I scrolled through the handful of songs and music I had. A good portion of it was Dubstep or Electronic music, and if it wasn't that it was My Little Pony ether from the song from the show or music from Brony musicians back on earth. Either way I had music I truly enjoyed on my iPhone.

I lay on my bed just relaxing to my music for hours. I had somehow drifted to sleep of to sleep, dreaming about how my life was going to be, now that I am in Equestria. Since I am a prince it should be relatively easy, but that is only because as of now I have no responsibilities, and once my presence is known I will have documents to read over and sign. I would have to meet with all foreign dignitaries, and nopony knows how well those are going to go. I wasn’t really good with politics on earth, and now I was going to have to be in the center of it.

I sighed deeply and sat up from my bed. I looked out the window to see that it would be about time to make my way down to the Feasting Hall. I made my way to the doors to be greeted by a pair of guards just outside.

“Sir,” they said in unison and saluted.

“Um...” I was at a lost for words. I didn’t suspect for them to be out here waiting for me, “Can you take me to the Feasting Hall?”

“Why of course your highness,” one of the guards said.

They both saluted and marched off as I followed behind. These weren’t celestial guards like the ones I have seen. These were obviously lunar guards, which were easy to tell from their armor and dark features. There armor was a combination of colors ranging from a dark blue to a deep violet. The design was majestic, and a perfect representation of the night’s beauty, it was curved in some areas and lead to sharp points. And in the center of their chest were crystals in the shape of reptilian eyes.

One was a pegasus, and instead of normal feathered wings, he possessed bat like wings. Most likely their armor changes their wings for when they are on duty, Luna must have enchanted them or something.

It took a while longer to get to the Feasting Hall then before. But once I was there I was given a fair share of foods I could eat. Most of which were salads, and desserts, which balanced out each other. Celestia told me I could’ve asked for some meat, they do need to have food for dignitaries from the Griffin Kingdom when they came to the castle.

“I will remember that next time, Tia,” I told her.

We chatted for a while longer before Luna had to raise the moon. They had answered many questions for me, about what I would be doing once I officially took power. The entire reason they had broken the Decency Spell for Red and Kat, and explained everything about it to me.

“Why would you even consider that?” I ranted.

“Luna thought it would be a funny prank, I just thought it would relieve some stress,” Celestia defended.

“So having me raped would be a good prank and relieve stress? Just forget about it, at least I got out in time before it went any farther than it did,” I said.

Celestia’s horn flashed for an instant, “Its okay, I wiped their memories of the incident, and recast the Decency Spell.”

“Thanks Tia,” I yawned as made my way to the door of the feasting hall, “I am going to rest now.”

“Alright then, you can rest for the week to do as you please before we began your magic training. Not to mention you being educated on the history of Equestria that you missed, and any other political things,” Celestia said.

“Can’t wait,” I said not even bothering to hide the sarcasm in my tone.

Celestia stuck her tongue out in the childish way with a small smile behind it, I returned the gesture before departing and making my way to my room. First thing in the morning I would go visit Vinyl and Octavia. I still had yet to know if either of them have awaken, but that would have to wait until the next day.
