Starlight Glimmer,Oliver,And Toad liked working in the yards.But,One day,Oliver and Starlight felt unhappy.Toad decided to find out why.

“Excuse me,Mr.Oliver.”He said.”Somethings are not going as well as usual.”

“You’re quite right,Toad.”Said Oliver.”All I do is shunt trucks into the turntable.”

“Yeah.”Replied Starlight.”I wish me and Oliver can go for a nice run.”

“Oh course.”Said Toad.”Why don’t you speak to Sir Tophom Hatt?”But,Oliver and Starlight ignored Toad as they set to work.But,They grew unhappier still and were cross with the troublesome trucks.

“You’re too old for shunting us!”Grumbled the trucks.”We want Percy!”

“I’m not old!”Scolded Starlight.

“And Percy and Spike are far too busy to be shunting you!”Grunted Oliver and he bumped the trucks hard.Then,There was trouble.Oliver biffed the trucks so much,They smashed into the turntable!

“You idiots!”Yelled the yard manager.”It will take weeks to repair this turntable!”Oliver and Starlight felt more unhappy.That night,Sir Tophom Hatt came to see them.

“Oliver and Starlight,You have caused confusion and delay.”He said.Oliver and Starlight remembered the last time they had trouble with trucks when they fell into the turntable well.”Why don’t you pull the mail train?The fresh night air will cheer you up.”So,They did.The night air couldn’t help,But,Brighten Their spirits.They waited at Edwards station for Harold and Spitfire to drop off their load of mail.

“Come on,Harold!”Called Starlight.It wasn’t long before they landed.

“Sorry we’re late.”Said Spitfire.”We had problems with one of Harolds rotors.”

“You also know that we’ll be late on our first run!”Said Starlight.Soon,The mail was loaded and they were on their way again.Later,They stoped at a red signal and had no idea the signalman was asleep.Oliver whistled several times.But,The signal stayed red.“Something must be wrong with that symbol.We better stop at the next signalbox.”Oliver puffed on.But,They didn’t know the points before the signalbox weren’t set correctly.They were going the wrong way.

“I think we should stop at a water tower.”Panted Oliver.Instead,They saw an old run down station.Then,There was an old shed ahead.Starlight applied the brakes.But,It was too late.With a crash and a bash,Oliver smashed right through the back of the shed and came off the tracks.Luckily,No one was hurt.Meanwhile,Sir Tophom Hatt was worried.

“Oliver and Starlight haven’t returned yet.”He said.”I must send a search party.”Larousse and Spitfire search high while belle searched low.When Harold and Spitfire flew above the old station,They found Oliver and Starlight in the old shed.

“There they are!”Said Spitfire as she and Harold landed.

“It wasn’t our fault this time.”Said Starlight.

“I’m aware of that.”Said Sir Tophom Hatt.Then,He look at the old station and an old house next to it.”You have found a great attraction to our island.We shall get this station up and running again.”And it was the next day.

“Hmm.Getting lost is sad.”Said Oliver.

“But,Being found is much happier.“Said Starlight.”Guess this discovery proves we are really useful.”
