Raven speaks up. "I believe that's enough of that! As entertaining this has been I say it's time we get back to my memory!"
"Now just one minute I still have questions for you!" Said Smolder.
Raven sigh. "I don't want to answer any more of your questions, right now! I'm done wasting time with your questions! Whatever it is you want to ask can wait until later." Raven said, she then turned around facing her memory screen and lit her horn, preparing too unpaused it.
Smolder cross her arms as she stood defiant. "Fine! I don't need you to answer my question when I could just ask someone else." Hearing that gave Raven paused, as she stops trying to resume the memory. Smolder notice this and smirk smugly as she was able to get one over the smart-ass mare, even if it was a little but one could wonder what would happen if the orange dragon pushed further.
Smolder haven't forgotten what Celestia said when she mentioned that Raven had been distancing herself from Discord, which could only mean the two know each other and were close in some way but what was their relationship? Theirs was only one other pony who knew the answer to that question.
"Princess Celestia!" Smolder call out to the mare still sitting next to her.
"Yes!" Celestia replied.
"Earlier you mentioned that Raven been distancing herself from Discord, so I asked you, what was their relationship?" Asked Smolder.
"Well, you see Raven and Discord use to be-"
"I would rather you keep personal business that are not your own to yourself, Celestia." Raven interrupted. Her back was still facing those behind her, not bothering to look them in the eye as she speaks. "There's no reason to bring up such trivial things and I'm not in the mood to answer any more questions at the moment, so drop it!"
"But Raven-" Celestia didn't even get to finish as Raven quickly turned around and stared at her old friend with hate filled eyes and screamed.
"I SAID DROP IT!" Raven yelled in anger. Once again shocking everyone with her rage and causing everyone to recoil from the sudden outburst.
Raven let out a few deep breaths to calm herself before speaking. "Now, if you don't mind, I'm going to resume the memory so we can get on with this debate and I'm not going to pause the memory again for any reason from here on out, so whatever questions you have can wait till the end." Raven gave a stern glare at Fluttershy's group. "Do I make myself clear!"
The just group nodded, not wanting to make her angrier.
Raven adjusted her glasses. "Good! Now let us continue!" Raven turned back around and lit her horn as she ready to start the memory back up.
"How did Fluttershy get pass the dome without alerting Trixie?" Raven asked.
That question gave Celestia paused as she tried to search her memories for an answer. "Huh! I don't know! Twilight never said how Fluttershy got back inside the dome, only that she wrote down her plan on paper, gave it to her, and she left......maybe she got back in the same way she got out!?"
"That would be suspicious as well as weird! Why would the beavers want to bring a log back into town? Sell it at the market?" Raven questioned. "Trixie may be corrupted by the amulet but that doesn't mean she's stupid."
"Well, I don't know what to tell you Raven, maybe you should ask Fluttershy the next time you see her!"
"Ok, I will!..... Whenever that will be. It's not like I'm so desperate to know, that I would go to her house and ask.” Raven shrugs. “So, anyway let's get back to the story. Earlier you said that Twilight was able to defeat Trixie with hardly any trouble.... How did she do it? Give me details!”
MEMORY PAUSED
Everycreature watching the memory, were both surprised and confused as to why the memory just stop when it literally just restarted. Each of them was murmuring and wondering what was going on.
Ocellus, who was sitting beside Raven, look towards her partner who just sat there frozen with a shock surprised like expression on her face.
"Is something wrong, Raven?" Ocellus asked. "Why did you stop the memory?"
It was just quiet enough, that everyone heard what Ocellus said and they all turned their attention towards the glasses wearing mare.
Raven said nothing, when Ocellus asked her questions. She just sat there frozen for she was in deep thought. After restarting the memory again. A single thought struck her mind like a lightning bolt and after taking a moment to contemplate this new idea she couldn't help but smirk at the brilliance of it, as her gaze drifted to the Fluttershy and her group of friends, who sat behind, Inkwell.
"R-Raven!?" Raven snap back to reality, when she heard her name being called. She quickly turned her head to look at her partner. Who was looking at her with a worried, yet slightly scared look in her eyes. "Is everything ok?"
Raven clears her throat, as she regains her composure. "Yes, Ocellus everything's fine," She assured the young changeling. "There just been a small change to my original plan, but I can assure to you and everycreature here will be quite interesting." She finished with wicked smile.
Ocellus stared at Raven with a confused look. "What exactly was your plan?"
"YEAH!" Smolder called out. Getting everyone's attention. "What is your plan? I thought you were hellbent on trying to prove that Discord should be punished."
"Of course, I am!" Said Raven. "That's the purpose of why we're having this debate."
"Then tell me why we're wasting our time on something that doesn't have anything to do with him or the purpose of this debate?" Smolder asked. "Just what the hell does proving that Celestia isn't a lazy ruler has to do with anything?"
"She's right!"
"What's the point of all this?"
"Just get back to the debate already!"
The crowd quickly argued their frustration against Raven, but despite their arguments, the glasses wearing mare was not phase by any of it, as she stood tall and remained calm.
Soon, Raven held up a hoof, gesturing for everyone to quiet down so she can speak. Once the volume had settled, Raven adjusted her glasses and spoke. "I suppose I do owe you all an explanation, so bear with me." Clears her throat. "I'm not just showing you the truth about Celestia for shit and giggles. There is a reason why I'm doing it, but before that conversation, there are two more before it I wanted you all to see. The first obviously being the talk about Twilight's and Trixie's Magic Duel. We were just about to see the continuation of that conversation, until a better idea pop into my head."
"So, let me get this straight." Said Rainbow. "You were just going to have us sit here, watching you and Celestia talk about past events?"
Raven shrugs. "Not anymore, as I just said. I have a better idea in mind. So, watching those conversations are now completely pointless."
"Sounds to me that all of it is pointless." Said Smolder.
"Oh, I wouldn't say that. Otherwise, I wouldn't bother with any of it from the start."
"But why bother with it at all?" Smolder said while throwing her hands in the air. "Just what is your game, Inkwell?"
"My game is to see THAT," Raven pointed a hoof at Discord. "Son of bitch get turned to stone and stay that way forever."
"And what the hell does proving Celestia isn't lazy have to do with that?" Smolder asked furiously.
"Alot!"
"What does the magic duel have to do with it?"
"Everything!"
"What the hell is the second conversation?"
"That one I'll keep a secret for now."
"Why you......" Smolder looked as if she was about to explode. Only calm herself a little when Ocellus spoke.
"Smolder please, calm down. I know all this sounds confusing, but remember what Raven said earlier to Fluttershy, after Celestia told us how Cadance helped her see that Twilight wasn't ready to rule."
"So Miss Shy, do you see now what little hope you have against me in this debate?" She said with a smirk.
Fluttershy stared at the mare; confused. "What are you talking about? All you did was prove how wrong we were about Twilight ruling Equestria back then. This had nothing to do with Discord."
"True!" Raven said. "But this conversation does have its purposes. Like how it served as an example of things to come if you decide to continue on with this debate."
"What do you mean?" Asked Fluttershy.
Raven adjusts her glasses while putting on a devious smirk. "Here's one very important fact you need to know Miss Shy. Everything I say and everything I do no matter how small, serves a purpose in my prosecution of Discord I know it sounds confusing now, but you'll understand what I mean soon enough. Point is I brought up this conversation for multiple reasons. The main one being is showing you what little hope you have against me and hopefully get you to step down from this."
Smolder's eyes widen in shock after remembering that particular conversation and she wasn't the only one. Everycreature was just as surprised, as they to remembered, Raven's words. This was more than enough to get the crowd, who were just angry at Raven. Believing she was wasting their time, but now they see, that she was planning this, she just needed to change the plan is all and that got them all to calm down, as they were now curious to see what this all will lead to.
Raven spoke. "Thank you, Ocellus!" Ocellus simply nodded in response. "Now, as I mentioned. Each one of these three conversations serves a great purpose to the main debate and before any of you ask, NO, I did not foresee this coming. For how could I, when I thought that Discord would most definitely be punished for his from the start."
The crowd nodded and murmured their agreement, knowing full well that Raven was right.
"I just saw an opening for an opportunity, and I took it." Raven put on a smug smile. "Just like I did with, Rarity!"
That hit the main group hard. They remembered how; Raven used Rarity's backstory, to prove without a doubt how Twilight wasn't ready to rule after she was first told. Though they didn't show it, part of them was worried for what the glasses wearing mare have hidden next behind her necktie.
Raven continues. "The same goes for these three conversations, except I'm not the only one who'll benefit from them...... Well, the first two anyway."
"And what's that supposed to mean?" Asked Applejack.
"Basically, the first two conversation will help everyone here open up their minds or as Tempest would say Open up your eyes!"
Tempest scoff at that.
"And an open mind will be necessary in the trials ahead."
"Since when did this whole thing turn into trial?" Rainbow whispered.
"I don't think she means that kind of trial, darling." Whispered Rarity.
"With that said, let's get back to the reason why I'm not using the memory anymore, speaking of which." With the glow of her horn. Raven made the magic screen disappear. "Won't be needing that anymore. At least until after we're done with the first two conversations, then I will bring the screen back and skip straight to the conversation I promise to show." Raven stands up and walk towards the center of the giant open circle that the crowd surrounding the main debaters, had left for them. Once she was in position, Raven addressed the crowd. "Now, I was originally going to show you my memories of Celestia and I talks, but I quickly realized how dull that is. Why watch the two of us talk, when we could do so much better, and by that, I mean, why not get those who were a part of the events involved." Raven gave a devious grin. "And since the magic duel is the first conversation. Who better to help talk about it then-
TWILIGHT SPARKLE,
AND TRIXIE LULAMOON.
Raven announced as she pointed to each mare.
"WHAT!!!!!!" Both mares yelled simultaneously, before glancing at each other, then back towards, Raven.
"You heard me, this is how we're going to do this. It's far more interesting than hearing both Celestia and I talk about it."
Twilight raised curious eyebrow. "Talk about what exactly? There's not very much left to say that memory Celestia hadn't said already!"
"Except, there is more, Twilight!" Celestia said, grabbing everybody attention. "A lot more. Raven stopped the memory just before our talk about yours and Trixie's magic duel, got a little more," Celestia couldn't help but wince as she remembered that specific conversation clear as day. "Shall I say....... I-Intense."
"How could it get intense?" Twilight asked her former teacher.
Celestia rub the back of her head nervously, as she tries to avoid looking at her former student. "W-well..... Y-you see....... We may have talk about the many plot holes in your plan to defeat, Trixie."
"And by we she mainly means me." Raven adjusts her glasses. "I was the one to notice how terrible your plan was, Twilight Sparkle as well as all the ways it should have failed instantly many times, thus allowing Trixie to be the winner in the end, not you."
That accusation hit Twilight so hard it stunned her.
"Now, hold on there, Inkwell." Said Applejack as she stepped forward. "There was absolutely nothin wrong with, Twilight's plan."
Pinkie steps up. "Yeah, it was thanks to her plan that we were able to defeat, Trixie."
"Indeed, darling!"
"Mmm hmm!"
"But of course it was because of the six of us working together under the magic of friendship that we were able to succeed." Rainbow smiled smugly. "And that's a straight up fact, so what you got to say to that, Inkwell?"
Everybody turned their attention towards Raven. Who just stood there with a blank look on her face, not saying anything.
Rainbow grinned. "HA, looks like we got one over yo-" Rainbow's ranting was interrupted, when she heard Raven laughing mockingly.

"And ponies would say my jokes were bad. I mean seriously, you can't honestly be telling me that guys beat Trixie, simply because you work together in friendship?"
"Yeah, we did!" Rainbow argued.
Raven let out a deep sigh, while adjusting her glasses. "Well, then, it would seem I would have to prove you wrong, don't I? This debate will make good practice for you all, if you want to stand a chance against me, when we get back to the main event."
Fluttershy spoke. "Practice!?"
"Remember when I said that these first two conversation will benefit everyone? Well, this is your benefit. Using what you learn here to sharpen your minds enough for the main game and if you do, you might end up saving Discord. And that's a non-existant, if."
"What was that?" Asked Rainbow.
"Oh, nothing important. Anyway, let's get started shall we." Raven turns her attention to the sun monarch. "And Celestia, I want you to stay out of this completely. After all they don't need your help."
Celestia simply nodded, knowing full well why Raven wants her out of the game, for she doesn't want her warning them of what's to come. Not like it will help anyway, but she does fear how the girls will react to learning some hard to know truths, especially Applejack.
Celestia wish Raven would at the very least go easy on them, but that's clearly not going to happen. Even back then, Raven never pulled her punches, and she sure as hell not going to start now.
"Now, first thing first," Said Raven as she lit her horn. "Twilight! Trixie! Would you two mind sharing your memories for all to see?"
And so, it begins.
