The Awakening

In the City of Canterlot, a museum exhibit being unveiled with a rare statue of an unknown species has been found in the Zebracan jungles dating to centuries before the unification of the tribes.

A certain young filly is very excited when she hears about it. “Mom can we go please?” she said, jumping up and down on her parent's bed levitating the newspaper in front of her mother's face a little too closely.

“Mmm alright Twilight...but only if your brother wants to go too.” Her mother Twilight Velvet said groggily.

“YAY!” Twilight said, running off to annoy her older brother.

“You know he’s going to agree to go with her right?” Night Light said groggily.

“I know but-” she stopped when she saw her son, Shining Armor, entering the room all excited.

“Can we go please?” he asked.

Velvet sighed before saying “Go get some breakfast and we’ll get ready.”

“It's going to be one of those days.” Night Light said as he got up from the bed.

“Yep.” Velvet said following suit.

A few hours later at the museum Twilight and her family were waiting in line to see the statue. “Remember Twilly we may not get to see the statue up close.” Night Light said, trying to calm his daughter down.

“I know daddy...but still this is exciting.” Twilight said jumping up and down in excitement.

“Now as we enter this hall we’ll see the statue of the unknown creature.” The tour guide said as the crowd entered the room. “We have yet to determine its origin, or its species. But we have determined that whenever this statue represents it, it was made in the era before the Unification of the Unicorn, Pegasus, and Earth Pony tribes.” The tour guide explained and while she was explaining more details about the location where it was found the young Twilight Sparkle snuck her way to the front of the crowd to get a good look at it. “Oh hello” the tour guide said, stopping her explanation “Aren’t you adorable.” she said to Twilight as the young filly tried to get closer to the statue. “I’m afraid you can’t get any closer. Who’s Filly is this?” she asked.

“Sorry ma’am, Twilight you know better than to run off like that.” Night Light said minorly scolding his daughter like that.

“I’m sorry daddy.” the young unicorn said.

“Oh don’t be so hard on her.” The tour guide said “She might have a talent for archaeology or maybe as a tour guide. What's your name?” She asked.

“I’m Twilight Sparkle!” Twilight said happily. And as she said her name as if saying a magic word the statue started to shake and crack.

“Umm everypony stand back I-I don’t know what's going on.” the tour guide said, scared as within seconds the statue exploded shooting small pieces of debris everywhere, though none large enough to harm anything nearby but causing the alarm to start. “Is Everypony alright?” the tour guide asked, covering her eyes from the dust. The crowd was silent as when the dust cleared the statue was full of color... and was slowly moving. “What in Celestia's name?” the guide asked confused at what she was seeing.

The ‘statue’ was glancing around its blue hair subtly moving, as the gem at the center of its ‘face’ flashed red as light reflected off it. And just as everypony thought it safe to drop their guard the statue took a step, just as the royal guards came in. “Everypony stay calm!” the captain shouted as the ponies ran out to leave room for the guards. “You there creature surrender!” the captain shouted as the statue creature started to run.

The crowd accidentally dragged away Night Light and his family all except his daughter who was running away from the monster. “Twilight!” Night Light shouted as his daughter disappeared into the dust.

I awoke with a strange feeling, The Chaos King was nowhere to be seen.

Information: That last attack petrified us.

‘Thanks, Great Sage. Where are we now?’

Information: Location unknown.

‘... thanks’ I glanced around and saw ponies looking confused and scared. ‘Hey Great Sage can you translate what they are saying?’

Negative, translation is down, as are most of your abilities.

‘Great, let's hope I don’t run into the Chaos King anytime soon.’ and as I thought that ponies wearing golden armor ran in. ‘great could they be the Chaos King’s minions?’

Unknown

‘Great Sage find us an exit.’

Scanning . . . there is a warp stone close by to your left.

‘Got it, time to run.’ and like that, I started running towards the warp stone while the gold wearing ponies started to shoot magical bolts from their horns and the crowd of ponies were panicking trying to get to an exit.

In that structure.

I turned to the pillar where an ancient-looking warp stone was. ‘Great Sage, how do I activate it?’

Allow Me.

And with those words, the five gems on warp stone turned a bright green. Just as the Chaos King's men began shouting in semi recognizable language.

Translator coming back online.

“It ------ there!” the soldier said.

‘We need to make sure they can’t follow us.’ I thought as the Great Sage had an Idea.

Stabbing the center core with your blade should both prevent follow but also randomize the location we end up.

I pulled out my blade ‘well better there than here.’ and with a quick stab to the central core caused the warp pad to start sparking.

“Daddy!” a voice shouted from nearby, I turned to see what it was and saw a small pony cowering in front of me.

‘Umm did you know that she was there, Great Sage?’

. . .

‘Great Sage...’

Before I got a proper answer the warp pad activated and blew up.

In the great Northern Forests.

“Uuuuugh Great Sage you there?” I asked myself.

Yes I am still here.

“That's good. That means I’m not dead.” I said scratching my head. Thought I turned to see the small pony laying next to me. “Great Sage is she alright?”

Medical scan says she only has a minor injury,

I decided to pick her up and start walking.

The Fate of Two

Author's Notes:

Alright before this chapter starts I have been getting questions about Crossovers, will I do them? and how?

To answer that question, Yes I will have crossovers... but they won't be with people's stories, they will be with authors.

I personally believe that the displaced continuity is full of power wanking crap so here is how they will be done. You give me three characters, I choose one then we plan a chapter. No super deep lore that takes 50 stories to unravel No BS.

I'll say when the floodgate is opened in a blog post, as this is just a here's what's going to happen sorta deal.

As I walked a few minutes passed as the pony in my arms woke up, and they were not happy to see me.

“AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!” she screamed as she struggled to escape my grasp. I decided to let her go and she ran towards a hole in a nearby tree.

I sighed and walked slowly towards her taking off my mask. “Hey now.” I said in a calm voice. “I don’t want to hurt you.”

“Yeah, right you foalnapped me!”

“By accident, I didn’t know you were in the warp pad when I... er broke it.” I said, taking off my mask.

“You just want to eat me.”

“Why would I want to eat you?”

She does have an extremely abnormal amount of Magicules.

‘Quiet you.’ I told the Great Sage.

“Because you're a monster.” she said.

“Well that's rude, what if someone called you a monster because of how you looked... besides-” I jumped up and transformed into my slime form “I’m not a bad slime, slurp.” She couldn’t help but giggle before I reached out my slime arm. “I’m Rimuru, Rimuru Tempest.”

She reached out her hoof and slowly said “My name is Twilight Sparkle.”

‘Where have I heard that name before?’ I asked myself.

Answer: it is the name of the main character of My Little Pony: Friendship is magic

‘I hope that's just a coincidence...’ I think to myself before talking to Twilight “I’m sorry I- er- well ‘foalnapped’ you, but I need you to come out of there. It's dangerous here and we should probably find civilization.”

She nodded before slowly coming out of the hole. She looked at me, she was slightly taller than my slime form. “C-could you stay as a slime please?” she asked.

“Alright.” I said as we began to walk in a direction.

Meanwhile In Canterlot Twilight's family was mourning her loss. “I’m sorry Ms. Velvet, there was no trace of your daughter...we can only assume the worst.” The guard captain said.

“Wait!” a voice shouted, as an Earth pony wearing glasses came running towards the family.

“Can we help you? Night Light asked.

“No, but I may be able to give you some hope, see the exhibit that your daughter was last seen in...well we don’t know what it was... but the current theory that the creature helped give proof for is that it was an ancient teleportation ruin of some kind. So given the fact that the creature wouldn’t likely just go to it without reason, it's safe to assume that there is a chance your daughter is still alive.” The researcher explained.

“Thank you Mr. Oddjob. But we don’t need any of your crackpot theories complicating the guard's reports.” The head curator said.

“Let the pony speak.” a new voice said.

“Princess Celestia.” The curator said as all the ponies bowed.

“Thank you, now you were saying.”

“Right, as I was explaining the creature while we can’t discern its motive for anything that happened, we can theorize that it damaged the slab to prevent anything from following, and your daughter was unfortunately caught in the crossfire.” Oddjob explained.

“It's clear that both the creature and the artifact it destroyed were from the same archeological find, so perhaps your theory holds weight, but-.” The head curator said before Celestia spoke.

“If I understand what the guard report said, both the artifact and the creature were from before the unification of the tribes which is an era shrouded in mystery. Even I don’t know much about that era.” Celestia explained. But she then turned to Shining Armor who was quiet since the news. “And what of you young one?” Shining was silent, he was in deep thought, thinking of his regret, like how if he had said no, that Twilight might still be here. “I know it must be hard for you.” Celestia paused. Before turning to Night Light and Twilight Velvet. “Perhaps we should talk somewhere else.”

“Yes, it would be good your majesty.” Night Light said as they all walked towards their home.

A few hours passed as we walked through the forest, the sky was getting dark. “We probably should find shelter.” I said as I turned back into my human form. Twilight was still scared with this form but I needed it to do specific things, so she would just have to get used to it.

“Can’t you stay as a slime?” she asked meekly.

“Sorry, Twilight but I need to find us someplace to hide for the night.” I explained.

“Oh okay.” she responded.

‘Great Sage, can you scan the area?’

There is a cave to the west of here.

“Alright let's get moving.” I said picking up Twilight and running in the direction of the cave as I looked up and noticed that gray clouds were forming above us. “Uh-oh” I muttered.

“What?”

“I think it's about to rain.” I said as I found the cave, and not a moment too soon as it started to rain as soon as we got in. “Well, there goes a safe dinner plan.” I muttered.

“Mr. Rimuru, I’m hungry.” Twilight said getting down from my arms.

“I’m sorry, I don’t have any food, and I can’t leave you alone.” I said as she looked sad.

Later I managed to start a fire with some of my string ability. And Twilight was laying down next to me sleeping, after crying for a good hour. I honestly felt bad about taking her, I mean it was an accident, but I felt like I stole her life, it was honestly like How I got here.

I sighed no use thinking of the past. ‘Hey, Great Sage I need a status update on my abilities.’

You currently have the Unique skill Predator and Great sage. Other abilities are Sticky and steel Threads, Water Blade, Ice Lance, Harden, paralyzing breath, a sonic attack, and flight. As well as your passive abilities.

‘Okay so all my skills are there. That‘s good I was worried I’d pulled a Metroid and lost everything.’ I should try to get some rest too, we have a long day tomorrow.

My name is Shining armor, starting tomorrow I’m going to be Princess Celestia’s student, I will find my sister and slay that monster.

The Deer and the nap

Okay, just to give two things out of the way.

First don't expect a new chapter every day... I'm just in a writing mood.

Second, I'm looking for an editor to make this better...I feel like I'm making a bunch of mistakes and I need someone to catch them

The Sun rose as the rain stopped and the clouds slowly began to part. I slowly began to get up when the Great Sage spoke.

Be warned five beings stand outside the cave

‘Great.’ I pulled out my sword and slowly made my way to the edge of the cave. “Hey, I know you’re there!” I shouted as five scrawny looking deer walked in.

“Oh great one please help us!” the... I guess the head deer spoke.

“Mmmm Mr. Rimuru what's going on?” Twilight said groggily as she realized the deers were in front of her. “Eep!” she said, hiding behind me.

“Help you with what?” I asked, pretending to be a mighty being much to the confusion of Twilight.

“Our village elder can fill you in on what’s happening but please help us!” the deer begged.

“Alright but I want tributes of food.” I told them as they seemed scared of me.

“O-of course great one.” The deer spoke as I picked up twilight and we began to follow the deer’s to their village.

When we arrived we were brought to a large cabin, well large for the village, It honestly looked like the Goblin village from the anime, “Oh great one we have brought you the tribute of food you asked for.” the deer from before said as two doe placed down two trays of food.

I glanced at Twilight who was hesitant to eat one, so I decided to take a berry from the tray and munch on it. It was a good enough clue for Twilight to start chowing down. “Now where is the village elder?” I asked.

“I’m here oh great one.” An elderly deer said entering the cabin.

“Ah, well met. Your scout mentioned that you needed help.”

“Yes... a few days ago our village was attacked by dire wolves, we barely held them off but lost a majority of our tribe... including my son. Please help us oh great one.” the elder deer said with tears in his eye.

I sighed, it was just like the Goblin village from the anime. “I’d love to help but...what's in it for me?” I asked as they looked devastated by the question.

“We-we don’t have much but we’ll give you our undying loyalty” The elder said. Yep like the goblins.

Before I could answer a howl was heard in the distance and Twilight was pulling on my coat “Mr. Rimuru what's going on?” she asked, scared and confused.

“I’ll help.” I said standing up. “Now let's see to building defenses?” I said as the deer were both happy and confused.

As Night came we built some defenses, just basic pikes and stick walls. Nothing that would keep the wolves out for long but I just needed to kill enough of the wolves to scare them off.

“OUR FANGS CAN TEAR BONES OUR CLAWS CAN SHRED STONE! YOU THINK THAT WALL WILL STOP US?” The pack leader shouted. “ATTACK!” he ordered as the wolves ran in. Only to be stopped by my sticky thread then be killed by arrows from the deer.

“HERE ME DIRE WOLVES LEAVE THESE LANDS AND NEVER RETURN!” I shouted, though in my slime form.

“YOU DARE ORDER US AROUND! YOU PATHETIC SLIME!” The pack leader shouted as he ran towards us.

“Father!” one of the wolves shouted as the wolf charged for me, ripping through the defenses I placed and pouncing on me... only to be stopped midair.

“W-what!” the wolf said squirming.

I sighed, the wolves were as dumb as the ones that attacked the goblin village, “I’ll make this quick, Water Blade!” i said as a blade of water shot out of me and decapitated the wolf, as well as cutting it down. ‘Well, I better make sure my plan works’ I thought to myself as I absorbed the Dire wolf pack leader.

Skill acquired: Fearful shout.

I chuckled as I transformed into a Dire wolf “Hear me pack either submit or flee.” I shouted before doing a roar “GAAAAAAAAAAAAAOOOOOOOOO!” Luckily life imitated art and the pack submitted to me. “Well, that's settled.” I said changing back to my slime form.

“Umm, what happened oh great one.”

The night turned to day as the Deer were afraid of the Dire wolves and the Direwolves were nervous about what would happen next. “Alright everyone, here’s what I want to happen, One deer will pear up with a wolf.”

“Umm lord Rimuru is that such a good idea?” the elder asked.

“Look I know you have your problem with these wolves but they’re under my command, I’m sure they’ll be loyal to us.” I shot a glare at the son of the old pack leader. “Right?”

“Yes master!” the wolf said.

“Now...oh right I never got your names.”

“We... we don’t have names.”

‘Great...” I muttered before asking the great sage ‘Great Sage can you scan the elder. See if he’s similar to the monster from the other world?’

Scanning . . . it would seem a similar pattern in magicules are present. So if given power they might evolve similar to those monsters.

“Alright, I’m going to go ahead and name everyone in the tribe.”

“But that's-” The elder stopped.

“Look it's going to be easier for me. Plus at the end of it, I get a three-day nap.” I joked

“If you are sure, great Rimuru.” The elder said not understanding what I meant.

The next hour was spent gathering the tribe and waiting for everyone to get names. I came up with names pretty fast. The elder was named Rigurd after the goblin elder/chief. I just thought of random names like Jarm and Poru, they seemed excited to get names but also confused as to why I made it a big deal. Another hour passed as I named all 50 Deer in the village, then came the dire wolf son... “I think I’ll name you Ranga Tempest, you are now of my blood.” I said... before passing out ‘There it is.’ was my last thought.

Three days later I awoke to two bipedal deer ladies tending me. “Oh Lord Rimaru you're awake. We’ll go get the elder.” one of the deer ladies said before running off.

‘She was cute...’ I thought before mentally sighing... I hated being a slime sometimes... I miss my son.

“FATHER!” A voice shouted as a Giant wolf burst through the hut.

“Ranga, good to see you boy.”

“Mr. Rimuru!” a smaller voice said from behind Ranga.

“Ah, Twilight-” I said as she got close to me and smacked my slime head. “Ow.” I said faking being hurt I guess she was scared.

“Lord Rimuru.” a semi-familiar voice spoke.

“Ah elder Rigurd, how were things while I napped?” I asked.
