Chapter 1
It had been a few weeks since the portal had been restored, and Dillan and Fluttershy had never been happier. Unfortunately, they both knew the time that they had to tell their friends would soon come. Fluttershy's friends were becoming suspicious, as they were hardly ever separated. That was odd for friends that hardly just met. That night they were staying at Fluttershy's cottage.
"Uh-oh, Fluttershy, I forgot to pack myself a dinner." Said Dillan, rustling through a backpack. It was fairly late in the evening, and he didn't really want to go back through the portal and get something.
"That's okay, I'll make you something."
"Oh thanks, Fluttershy. That's so sweet of you." A while later, Fluttershy began cooking something that smelled delicious, but she refused to tell him or let him peek at what it was.
"Here, try this." Said Fluttershy, holding out a plate of what looked like two burgers. Dillan hesitantly took a bite.
"Mmm! Fwutterfy, dif ish dewishouf!" He said, without waiting to swallow first. "What is it?"
"Oh, umm, thank you. It's just a hayburger." She shied back at the complement. Dillan proceeded to eat the two hayburgers.
That afternoon Fluttershy was cuddled up with Dillan reading him a story she had written. Dillan hated reading, but he absolutely loved hearing Fluttershy read aloud to him. Whether it was her work or not, she was such a great narrator. That's when Dillan felt a sudden sharp pain in his midsection. It came out of nowhere and hit like an oncoming truck. He instinctively doubled over, moaning in pain. "Uggh!"
"Dillan are you okay?!" Fluttershy asked frantically, extremely concerned. Just as quickly as it came it felt better. Well- sort of. It still hurt, but the initial surge of pain had dissipated. Only to reignite a few seconds later.
"Nnn- no. Ugh! It... it hurst- I- I mean. It hurts so much! Mmm-- my stomach is.. ugh! Kk- killing m..me!"
"Let me feel. I may not be a doctor, but I am a vet. I treat animals with much more similar biology to humans than ponies." Fluttershy stated with an incredible amount of poise. She obviously had experience in dealing with medical emergencies such as this.
"Oo-okay." He did his best to stay still and keep his hands away as Fluttershy probed his tender tummy. "Ahh! Ugh.. pplease be.. gen-gentle.." It felt like he had just eaten an entire thanksgiving feast. His stomach noticeably bulged outwards like a balloon about to pop.
"Sorry for being so ruff. I'm done now. I-I'm going to consult one of my medical books. This will only take a second, I promise." She grabbed one of the many thick books off the shelf and began flipping through it. "Aha! Okay, I- foun... Oh my! I... I'm so sorry! I didn't mean to, I w-was just trying to b-be nice! I'm so so sorry! I'm a horrible pony!"
"Wha- uhhg! What is it Fl- Fluttershy? Wh-whats wrwrong? Is... everything o-okay?"
"No! I- I should have known! Humans can't digest hay or grass that well! I'm so, so sorry! It's my fault you're in pain! I'm so sorry!"
"That... that's okay Fl-Fluttershy. It wwas just a mi... a mistake. I di-did that too. Remember? I-is there any... thing you can do ri-right now to h-help me?"
"Here, this is a special Equestrian herb, it's an anti-inflammatory."
"A wh... what?"
"It'll help with belly aches." She handed him a small bunch of wildflowers. "But it'll take a while to kick in. But... um... while you wait- I-I mean, if you want to... um- I c-could give you ttummy r-rubs?"
Instead of responding he simply nodded his head in approval and moved his hands out of the way. She couldn't help but squeal in excitement. She had always secretly wanted to give somepony- or someone rather, a tummy rub. Other than her animals of course. She very gently began to rub the right side of his belly where she felt a huge hard spot. She gently pet him, barely even touching him. After about a minute he was still obviously in pain but he was no longer writhing. She was able to calm his stomach so quickly because she knew exactly what was happening, why it was happening, and how to counteract it. That's why she was able to do so very quickly and with such little pressure. It paid to have vet for a marefriend.
After about half an hour Fluttershy's technique was working wonders, and the plant she had given him was in full effect. He might have felt even better than he did before! Fluttershy finished the story she had been reading. "Thank you Fluttershy. For helping me. You're just so sweet, and kind, and caring, and I love you!"
"Oh, th-thank you. I only did w-what any g-good pony would have done. Y-you were in pain and I w-was just he-helping." The sudden influx of love and complements triggered the flutter-stutters.
"You do know were going to have to tell your friends eventually right?"
"That can wait for tomorrow, *yawn* I'm so tired."
"Well, I hope your not too tired to enjoy this." He leaned in close and kissed her passionately on the lips. Fluttershy was shy at first but accepted it after a few seconds. Every second seemed like a million years, it felt like they were in a place where nothing bad could ever happen, and everything was magical. Even so, it ended all too soon.
And this is the part where I abruptly end the chapter and never speak of the previous paragraph again because I refuse to write a clop fic or a love story without sex. THE END
Author's Notes:
"Never let it be said that I didn't suffer for my work." - Squidward
I wanted to know the effects of eating grass first-hoof in order to create a more realistic pain scene, even so, I dramatized the amount of pain a little because, well, fiction. I regret it so much...
Chapter 2
The next morning Fluttershy and Dillan set off for Zecora's hut for a special new potion. "We discovered a problem where I can't eat his food, and he can't eat my food. So we were wondering if maybe you could create some potions to alow up to digest each other's food." Asked Fluttershy.
"You know me for my potion-making stature, but diet is something to be left up to nature. Grass and cheese aren't only bad for your tummies, but bad for lots of your physical health needs." (I'm sorry, I tried. You try coming up with a rhyme for tummies!)
"Okay Zecora, we understand. I guess we came out here for nothing. *sigh*"
"Oh dear Fluttershy, don't be upset, maybe a list of a shared diet you should get."
"Well, that does sound like a good idea. And I do need to talk with my friends anyway so I guess this wasn't a total waste. Thank you Zecora."
"So, the reason I gathered you guys for a picnic is... because I umm... I-I need to tell you that... I- I can't do this!" Fluttershy cracked under the pressure and took off galloping, leaving her friends in utter confusion. Dillan ran after her.
"Fluttershy, wait! Come back it's okay!" She finally stopped in an ally, trying to hide. "Fluttershy, It's okay. Your friends aren't going to think any less of you for loving a human."
"Ho-how do you k-know?" Asked Fluttershy between sobs.
"Because they're your friends. Does hating you for liking a different species sound anything like them?"
"N-no, but..."
"But nothing. They will support you. It'll be okay. Would you like me to tell them for you?"
"Mhm.*sniff*"
"Okay, come on Fluttershy, there waiting for us." They slowly walked back to the picnic site.
"Oh Fluttershy, your finally back! Is everything alright, darling? Whatever you need to tell us we won't judge you." Said Rarity reassuringly.
"She asked if I would tell you guys so she doesn't have to. We have decided... we want to be together... because we're in love." That was a lot harder than he thought it would be, but he did it. At this revelation, everypony's jaws nearly hit the ground. But they soon regained their composure.
"The first-ever documented human-pony relationship?! This is amazing! I have write about this! Tell me the whole story!" Exclaimed Twilight.
"I think what she means to say is congrats sugar cube! Fluttershy, I'll be honest, with your shy attitude towards ponies, I thought yall where never gonna get a coltfriend. Or, manfriend."
"Boyfriend." Corrected Dillan.
"Oooooh! Did you guys make out yet?!" Asked Pinkie rather bluntly.
"Ewe, Pinkie! What kind of question is that?!" Asked Rainbow Dash. "You guys didn't actually, did you?"
"No, and we don't intend to either. Hugs, cuddles, and kisses are enough for us. Right, Dillan?"
"Yes." And tummy rubs. But he wasn't going to say that out loud."
Author's Notes:
