Twilight was crying. Feeling alone and forgotten. She prayed that her friends were all right. That they were able to escape before it was too late. But her brother.. Her dear brother..

"Shiny..." She whimpered. Warm tears flooding down her cheeks. She did not want to imagine what Sombra did to him. But she knew that he stab a pike on his head. She screamed and cried for her brother. Refusing to accept that he was dead. Wanting to actually hug his head. It had been three days since King Sombra had taken over the Crystal Empire and bring back the Umbra Empire. All of the crystal ponies that resist where easily crushed by the power of King Sombra and returned to work in the mines in chains.

She, however, had been spared by the 'grace' of the King. Locked up and chained in a dark dungeon tower of the Umbra Castle. She cried day in and day out. Only stopping to just sleep. Then to cry again next morning when she found herself in the same, dreadful, place. King Sombra enjoyed seeing her suffer. Mocking her for her failure and how she had been foolish to even think she can outsmart somepony like himself. It only brought her more grief.

"Just kill me already... please..." she begged to Sombra.

Sombra gave her a dark, sadistic chuckle in reply. "Then we would miss out on all the fun we will have. Don't you remember, I want you to learn dark magic. But now I have a special plan for you, Miss Twilight Sparkle."

That way he said special plan, sent a shiver down her spine thinking about what the stallion had in store for her in the future. All that mattered, though, was that her friends were safe. That she and the others would come to her rescue and defeat Sombra once and for all.

"Princess Celestia will rescue me!" Twilight said defiantly. Tear brimming her eyes.

"Sweet Twilight." Sombra crooned chillingly, "She's yet to even show up. Not a lot of ponies can survive the north. Your 'master' has abandoned."

"But I am her most fateful, and favorite student" Twilight Sparkle said proudly.

"Really now." Sombra mused. He knew that a Celestia had many students. But none were not fateful or favorite. "Listen me, Twilight." Sombra chuckled, "I can teach you far more magic than that pathetic excuse of an alicorn. My grandfather is more of an alicorn that she is."

Twilight Sparkle's widened with anger. "Don't you EVER fucking dare insult the princess like that!" She roared, "And I will never join you! I would rather die by you than betray the princess!"

Sombra sighed, he was hoping he did not have to do this to her. He kinda like her. But he saw the defiance her eyes. "I warn you, I gave you a chance to join me without breaking you. But you force my hand on it." Sombra's horn glow with a purple and black magic. "Shaw we begin your training." The king then grinned dark, and sadisticly "Let's see how long it will take for you Miss Sparkle to break!"

He launched his magic at her. Twilight could only scream as she endured her worst nightmare over and over. Seeing the disappointment on Celestia's face would forever embed itself in her mind. Sombra enjoy seeing the unicorn cry and suffer. He focused harder, making the nightmare seem more real. Twilight cover her head with her arms. Curling you on the cold, unforgiving floor and screaming at the top of her lungs while tears coursed down her soft face. Sombra eventually stopped after a half-hour only to rest.

"My.. my.." He smiled or then he panted, "You're a strong mare for being from the south of eques."

Twilight Sparkle weakly opened her eyes; both were puff and red form the crying she endure. She slowly got on her both of the hooves. "I.. will.. never.. break.." she said weakly, "Princess.. Celestia .. and Luna... will come for me.. You'll see..."

Sombra smirked. He couldn't help but admire her strenght to endure. Sombra thought she will be a fine equal. Not just an apprentice, a queen. "I can assure you. The Princess will never come for you. If your friends can survive the frozen terrain, that is."

"M-my friends will get to her! You'll see! Princess Celestia and Luna will come with the Canterlot Royal Guard and will stop you!"

"Hmm." Sombra stared at Twilight Sparkle. This was going to take much longer then he originally intended. "If they come I will be wait and my crystal slave will be my army. And when the Umbrum are free Celestia and Luna will be too late to save this world. But I have a lot of work to do with your strong will..." He murmured. He then narrow his crimson irises towards the mare and grinned darkly as he changed his magic once again. "Lets us try this again my dear Twilight Sparkle. I will show you that no one will come to for you." He chuckled as he unleashed his magic at her, then she screamed agian.
