As the curtain fell, and as the audience clapped, Princess Twilight Sparkle smiled and turned to her otherdimensional doppleganger, seated next to her in the royal box.

“Well?” the princess said, “Did you enjoy the play?”

Twilight Sparkle blinked, then pushed her glasses further up her nose. She'd expected the traditions of another world to be eccentric, but the ostensibly historical play had surprised her more than she thought it would. Still, she managed a polite smile (or what she hoped was one-- pony-person expressions were kind of tricky).

“Let's just say Hearth's Warming Eve pageants are a lot ... different back where I'm from.”
