Sunlight open his eyes; He look at the sky.

“Wow, the sky is beautiful today, he said. Wait...The sky?!”

He turn his head and realize he was lying in the middle of a forest, and more, a little creature was on his chest, looking at him. The creature in question was little and cute looking, like a little bunny or something. He scream, which scare the creature, who run away. He get up and see he was alone.

“Where the fuck am i?! He said to himself. Last night, i was in my bed, and now, i wake up in the middle of nowhere. At least, this is not a desert...”

He walk for a little moment, exploring this new place. He see multiple animal-like creatures which he get captivated into.

“One thing is sure, this place is not Canterlot, or Equestria, he said. Did i get, in someway, get teleported in another world?”

Sunlight verify this theory, to see if he was indeed in another world. He try to use his magic, and at his surprise, it work.

“Okay, this world possess magic, he thought. But this is not enough to prove my theory. Let’s continue the researches...”

He walk for many hours in the forest, during when he got to see a lot of creatures that were definitively from Equestria. He finally find a road which was maybe meaning this world had humans peoples. He continue on his way for 1 more hour before he arrive at the entrance of a town.

“«Lumiose City, The national capital of Kalos, Home of the greatest superstars» read Sunlight on a board. Well, now i have the proof i am in another world.”

He proceed to explore this city and learn a lot of things. He was seeing everywhere the word Pokemon, which he quickly deduce being the name given to the creatures of this world. He also saw in direct fights between the creatures, which were commended by two humans, who were thrown out of spherical balls. He learn by reading the name on one of them: they were called Pokeballs.

“Hum, after what i learned of this world until now, he though, Humans of this world seem to use these spherical balls to in some way, capture these creatures. Then, they make them fight against other creatures, like a sort of competition. I can’t do anything but just find that stupid...But at the same time, i want to learn more about this...”

He search for a place to find information but strangely, people were looking at him. That was because he realized he was wearing is «Superhero costume» which was very flashy. Even one of them, a man, tell him:

“Ho, this is a very cool costume you wear, man! Are you some kind of mysterious trainer?”

“Hum..Yeah, Totally! He answered. I was actually trying to find an expert on Pokemons, but this is the first time i visit this town.”

“Oh, if you search for a Pokemon expert, i know where you can find one. Just follow me”

The man lead him in front of a building where he could read: «Pokemon Research Center»

“Thank you” said Sunlight to the man.

“You’re welcome!” he answered.

Sunlight enter in the building and suddenly got attacked by a cat like creature.

“Not again, Litten, stop!!” said a man.

Sunlight, panicked, take the creature in his hand and was able to throw it, but the cat-like creature suddenly calm down instantly and lick his hand.

“I am sorry he attacked you, said the man. He have the bad habit to protect fiercely his territory.”

The cat was now purring in the hand of Sunlight.

“He seem to like you a lot, said the man. This is the first time i see him being so cuddly with a trainer he just met. Oh, i was forgetting to present myself: I am the professor Sycamore and my specialty is to study and lead researches on the Pokemons, but also to help trainers to learn more about them. And from what i see, you seem to need help”

The professor lead Sunlight to a place where a lot of pokemons where playing and having a great time. Sunlight was still holding the Litten in his hands, because this one was refusing to leave them. Sunlight told him that he wanted to learn more about these creatures and about the trainer carrier.

“Hum, you don’t seem a little bit...old, for beginning a Pokemon trainer carrier?” asked the man.

“My parents, were, let just say, a little bit overprotective..” he said.

“I understand, answered Sycamore. Some parents can be more protective than others, well, like people say, better late than never, uh?”

He gave him a strange object with a more strange shape

“This is a Pokedex, this is a sort of portable data bank on every pokemons discovered until now.” he said.

The Pokedex start to move on its own and suddenly take life.

“Welcome, Trainer, i am Motisma-Dex!! Said the device. I am glad to meet my new owner!!”

“Are you some kind of A.I?” asked Sunlight, surprised and captivated.

“No, said Sycamore. What you have in front of you is just a normal Pokedex who was combined to a Motisma.”

“Motisma?” said Sunlight.

“Motisma, the Plasma Pokemon, He is a Electrick/Ghost type Pokemon who have the ability to combine his body in any sort of technological device. To gave you an example, If a Motisma take possession of a oven, he will acquire the Fire type instead of the Ghost Type. This form is also called Heat Motisma.”

“Now, you need also a Poke-Nav, which is a sort of G.P.S, said Sycamore. The last thing you need before beginning your adventure is a starter Pokemon.”

The professor lead Sunlight to a room where 3 little Pokemons, One with frog-like features, another with fox-like features and the last one, with hedgehog features.

“Allow me to present these 3 pokemons, said Motisma-Dex. The one at the right is Froakie, A water type Pokemon with great speed and fast attacks. This pokemon have a foam in his neck, who can be used for a lot of situations. The Pokemon in the middle is Chespin, a Plant type Pokemon. Chespin is known to have a great defensive potential and a good attack, this pokemon can resist an impact with a heavy truck without getting any scratch. The last one is Fennekin, a Fire type pokemon who combine agility and attack and who love attention.”

“I will choose the Fire type pokemon, said Sunlight, without hesitation. I love fire...and he is so cute...!”

“I was sure you will choose Fennekin, said Sycamore. He is pretty popular in the region, Well, there is his Pokeball.”

The professor gave him the Pokeball.

“Now, you are ready to begin you adventure! Said Sycamore. If i was you, i would try to compete in the Pokemon League.”

“Pokemon League?” said Sunlight, a little bit interested.

“The Pokemon League is a sort of tournament, he answered. Only the trainers who have 8 Gym badges, obtainable from the Gym Leaders if you beat team, can participate. This competition consist to reunite all the trainers who collected their badges and make them fight each other. The trainer who win the finale will have the chance to fight the Elite 4 and the Champion of the Pokemon League. And if the trainer beat him or her, he or she will be crowned the new Pokemon League Champion.”

“Sound exciting, said Sunlight. Where can i register for the tournament?”

“You can do it at any Pokemon Center, answered Sycamore. The Nurse Joy will help you with that”

“Thank you, said Sunlight. Goodbye!”

But when Sunlight was about to left, the Litten he was holding sooner jump in his arms.

“Hum...Professor?” he asked.

“He he he... Litten seem to like you a lot. He never did that before. I found him abandoned by a trainer during a trip to Alola, i immediately took him with me and bring it back to my lab.”

“Who can be heartless enough to abandon a pokemon?” asked Sunlight.

“Someone who don’t understand how wonderful a pokemon is” answered Sycamore.

Sunlight look at the little cat pokemon in the eyes and see in them a spark.

“Can i keep him with me? Asked Sunlight. He really love me i think, and i will take care of him”

“Hum, You know what? He asked. If Litten want you for trainer and you want him for pokemon, then yes, you can keep him.”

The professor walk in another room, then 2 minutes later, come back with a Pokeball.

“Use that pokeball to catch him” he said.

Sunlight take the Pokeball and show it to the Litten.

“Hey, little one, he said. Do you want to have me for trainer?”

The Litten smell the Pokeball and touch the button with his paw. He disappear into the ball and that one move a lot of time before it flash and make a noise. Sycamore smile.

“Now, you are the new owner of Litten, he said. I am sure you will take care of him, you are the first trainer he accept since he got abandoned and that mean he saw something special in you.”

Sunlight also take Fennekin’s Pokeball with him and after saying a last goodbye to Sycamore, he head in direction of a Pokemon Center. He see a woman who he deduced must be the Nurse Joy. She explain to him her duties and help him to register his name for the League.

“You have 6 months to collect all the badges of the region, she told him. If you don’t have all of them, you will not be able to compete for the Pokemon League of Kalos.”

“Thank you, Nurse Joy!” he said.

“You are welcome!! She said in return. Came back whenever you want!”

Sunlight ask to his Motisma-Dex which Gym Leader he should challenge first. The Pokedex tell him that there was a Gym Leader in this town, but also said that he was maybe a little bit too much for Sunlight.

“But, with your Fire type Pokemons, he said. I recommend you to challenge the Gym Leader from Santalune City. She is a Bug type specialist. Fire type attack are super effective against the Bug type.”

“So, show me the itinerary to this city” ordered Sunlight.

The Motisma-Dex show him the best path to take to make it to the town.

“So, this is on!! Said Sunlight. I have the feeling that a great adventure await me!”

Sunset Shimmer wake up in the middle of a beautiful grass field. She suddenly feel something on her belly, like if an animal was on her. She get up and look around her.

”Where am i? She asked to herself. I am definitively not in my chamber anymore...I bet Rainbow Dash or Applejack must have play to me some kind of joke...”

She feel behind her the presence of something and she turn her head. But she see nothing and decide instead to explore the place. She walk for a while, with the impression someone was following her. That feeling was becoming intense with the time passing.

”Something is definitively spying on me, she thought. Is that something invisible? Maybe...”

She almost have an heart attack when a creature appear in front of her, smiling.

“Mew!!!” said the little creature.

Sunset fall on her butt and look at the creature. She deduce that was the presence she was feeling behind her.

“Mew?” said the creature, when it came closer of Sunset.

“No, i am Sunset Shimmer, she answered. What are you?”

The Pokemon don’t answer.

“Oh, you can’t speak like me, she said. Well, can i touch you?”

The pokemon agree without hesitation and came close enough of her so she could touch the cute creature. She read its memories and learn that the Pokemon was called Mew. She also learn everything about the nature of this world.

“Thank you, Mew, she said. I understand everything, now. And yes, i am sort of a psychic”

Mew read at his turn Sunset’s memories and see the kindness, bravery, determination and love she demonstrated.

“Mew!!” said Mew.

“Did you just read my memories too?” she asked.

The pokemon answer by an affirmative head sign.

“So, you understand what i said?” she asked.

Mew answer also by another affirmative head sign.

“Can you talk our language? She asked. At least, speak by telepathy?”

The Pokemon make an negative head sign.

“That suck, she said. I would have asked you why you were following me...”

Mew teleport away and come back 2 second later with piece of paper and a pencil. I start to write and and show what he wrote on it to her. That was some kind of Japanese language, but fortunately for her, she took Japanese language classes (i know, Sunset don’t speak Japanese, but this is a fan fiction after all, so why not?) and the paper was saying: «I followed you because I love kind-heart humans. I see in your heart you were nice, kind, loving and understand the value of a friendship»

“I owe what i became today to a friend who showed my the path of good” she said.

Mew continue writing on a another piece of paper and show it to her. The message was saying «Do you want to be my friend?».

“Sure, answered Sunset. I would love having somebody on my sides in this new world. I accept your friendship, Mew”

The pokemon make a scream of happiness and hug Sunset with his little hands. Then, he find a place in her backpack.

“So, can you bring me in the nearest town in the region, Mew?” asked Sunset.

Mew’s answer was to teleport her at the entrance of a town called Pallet Town. She thank him and the pokemon smile back to her. Sunset enter in the town and is surprised by the beauty of it. This place was so quiet, shiny and full of colors. Her exploration of this place lead her to notice there was not a lot of humans living here. She also get to see a lot of these creatures called Pokemons. Some of them had bird-like features, other looked like cats or dogs, mouses, rats, bugs and humans.

“Wow, there is so much diversity in this world” she said.

She suddenly hear a help scream coming from the north. She rush immediately in direction of the scream and see a man running from a swarm of giant Wasp-like creatures. Without hesitation, she decide to enter in communication with them and touch one. She could see in the pokemon memory that the man in question was a scientist who accidentally step of one of their cocoons and angered them. She then share with the angry creature positive emotions and is able to calm it. The giant wasp look at Sunset and told to the others to return home. The swarm disappear in a minute and the man, him, was breathing heavily.

“Are you okay, she asked. Are you hurt or something?”

The man get up and look at her.

“I am fine, thank to you, young woman, said the man. Even if you have decades of experience with the Pokemons, you can always made a mistake. How did you calm this swarm of Beedrills?”

“Hum, Persuasive powers?” she answered

“Hum, This species of Pokemon mostly follow their instincts, said the man. They are very aggressive and only berries or honey can calm them. Did you have by chance these things on you?”

“Well, not exactly, she answered. I am...”

Mew make a berry appear in her hand and show it to the scientist.

“Oh, these berries are their favorite sort!! Said the man. They love them so much and i understand how you calm them. What is your name, young and courageous woman?”

“My name is Sunset...Sunset Shimmer, she answered. I know, this is a strange name...”

“Not at all, said the man. It clearly represent you perfectly. You can call me Professor Oak.”

“Nice to meet you, Professor Oak!” she said.

The professor bring her to his laboratory.

“This place is like my home, he said. I do all my researches here. This is also a home for a lot of pokemons, wild or owned by other trainers who trust me to keep them safe.”

Oak take a strange device and give it to Sunset.

“This is a Pokedex, he said. This masterpiece of technology contain the information of all the pokemons in the world, Kanto, Johto, Hoenn, Shinnoh, Unova, Kalos, Alola and Galar. That include their shiny forms, all the data on mega-evolution, their types and a lot more. I can thank Ash for that....He he!”

“Really? She asked. Wow!!”

The professor show her how to use it and hold the Pokedex in front of a dragon-like pokemon. A voice coming from the Pokedex suddenly speak

“Charizard, the Flame Pokemon, said the device. He is a Fire and Flying type. This pokemon is the final evolution of Charminder. Charizard’s firebreath is so hot it can reach a temperature beyond 3000°C. This pokemon is also known to be a fierce fighter in battles, making him a companion of choice for the trainers who want to be talented pokemon trainers. This pokemon also possess two different mega-evolution and a Gigantimax form”

“Charizard is originally a pokemon from the Kanto region, said Oak. But its popularity spread worldwide and so, i knew i had to update its description. Same for the rest of them. But lets speak about the reason of your presence here. Why did you came to Pallet Town?”

“Well, i was lost, to be honest and i just entered the first town i saw, she answered. Also, i could be interested to become a pokemon trainer...”

“Well, if you say so, i can help you to start your carrier of trainer, said the Professor. First is to decide which of these 8 region attract you the most?”

“Hum, maybe if you describe them, i could be able to make a choice...” said Sunset.

Oak begin to explain the main attractions of each regions. At the end of his explanations, Sunset was attired by 3 regions: Galar, Kalos and Alola. Galar was attractive to her due to it’s technological advances, Alola was described as a paradise and Kalos was described as being culturally and socially developed.

“Hum, i think i will go with...Kalos, she said. I don’t know why, but my intuition told me to go to Kalos...”

“Then, i will contact Sycamore, he said. He his is the Pokemon professor of the Kalos region. I will tell him of you arrival, beside, you will need some pokeballs in your adventure.”

The professor gave her a pack of Pokeballs, explaining to her how to use them.

“When you will arrive at Kalos, said Oak, go to that address, this is where you will find Sycamore. Now, this is time to go at the airport. Maybe i can help you get here...”

“Hum, thank you, Professor, she said. But you don’t need to do that...”

“And why not?” asked the professor, perplexed.

For answering to his question, Sunset make a goodbye sign and then disappear instantly from the laboratory

“Did she just...Teleported? Thought Oak. Meh, certainly a psychic pokemon...”

Sunset reappear in the toilets of the airport. She immediately notice she was in the men side of the toilets when she heard two talking near to her. She told to Mew to teleport her in the women toilets. The pokemon laugh and obey to her request. Sunset then leave the women bathroom and walk in direction of the ticket stand. But then....

”Oh shit! I forget i don’t have money for a fly ticket, she thought. Wait, i have psychic powers!! Maybe i can persuade someone to buy me one!! No, i can’t do that, this is bad! What else can i do? Prostitution? Hell no!! Stealing a ticket? Not an option, Maybe use Mew’s teleportation powers to get in the plane? I am sure this is illegal...”

Mew use his powers to make him and Sunset disappear from the airport. They reappear in the middle of a beautiful place that she immediately associate being Mew’s home. A lot of toys and various objects was standing around her.

“Why did you bring me here?” asked Sunset to Mew

The pokemon don’t answer, but instead bring back to her a beautiful object. The object was a beautiful gemstone of an incredible size. Mew put it in her hands and smile to her.

“You...This is so kind of you, Mew, she said. Are you really sure you really want to give it to me? I can find another way to get money who won’t be illegal or immoral.”

She see that her friend was not going to return on his decision and accept the gift of Mew.

“Thank you, she said. I am so grateful of your gift. But told me, where did you find a gemstone of that size, did you stole it?”

Mew make a negative head sign. He use his psychic powers to share his memories of how he found that gemstone. She learn that it was a gift coming from a person Mew liked a lot. The fact that mew gave to her something so important for him make her cry of emotion. Mew, for answer, cuddle against her face to make her smile. That sign of affection was the official sign of their new friendship. So, Sunset and Mew go to a jeweler with the intention of selling it for money. The owner told her that this gem was worth more than the money he possessed. He make a deal with her and propose to give her half of is money with 6 items of her choice in his shop. She is attracted by a beautiful necklace with a rainbow colored stone on it.

“Oh, this is a Keystone, said the Jeweler. This gem is one of the 3 things needed in order to use the Mega-Evolution. If you want it, it is yours. The second thing needed to mega-evolve a Pokemon is a Mega-gemstone. Let me give you 3 of my collection.”

The jeweler give her 3 Mega-gemstones and told her the name of the pokemons they were destined: One was a Metagrossite, the second was a Gardevoirite and the last was an Alakazamite. The man also give her a Dawn Stone and a Dusk Stone. Sunset take the money and the items and put them in her bag and leave the store.

“Well, I am sure these objects will get useful someday, she said. For the moment, we have a plane for Kalos to take!!”

The two friends disappear by teleportation. But they didn’t notice they were observed by a Pokemon, this pokemon was following them for a while. It was white and Purple with cat and human-like traits and a long tail.

”Hum, I see that you restarted to frequents humans, Mew, said the pokemon. I should maybe keep an eye on you and also on that girl. I feel in her something...different from the others humans of this world, i must learn more about that.”

Then it disappear at his turn.

Sunlight was actually playing with his two pokemons. After a few hours of walk, he decided to get some time with his buddies. In that way, he would learn more about their attacks and them.

“Hum, Motisma, asked Sunlight, Can you give me the list of attacks this Litten use?”

“Bip, yes!! Answered the Motisma-Dex. There is a pool of potential attacks this pokemon can use. Let’s try them all so you know what attacks pool Litten possess.”

Sunlight give a look at the move pool of Litten and begin with the first move.

“Litten, use Fire Fangs!!!” said Sunlight to the pokemon

Litten look at him with a interrogative face. Motisma then told him he have to precise what or who to use the attack.

“Oh, right. Litten, use Fire Fang, but on this log!!!”

Litten bite the log and totally reduce it to pieces.

Sunlight then pass to the next moves, and at the end, he had determined the 4 attacks Litten could use: Growl, Fire Fangs, Ember and lick. Then, he does the same with Fennekin, which have the following moves: Scratch, Ember, Tackle and Growl.

“Hum, not bad, with these moves, you could actually be able to pull out some wins.” said Motisma-Dex.

Sunlight try to pet the Litten and this one let him do it. Motisma is surprised by Litten attitude.

“Wow, i am surprised to see a Litten letting his trainer cuddle him in such a few time!” he said.

“What do you mean?” asked Sunlight.

“The Pokedex mention that Litten is a pokemon which the trust is hard to gain, he explain. But they are not all the sames and maybe some can be more cuddly than others. No, what is surprising is that a pokemon who got rejected by it’s last trainer bound so easily to a new one.”

“I didn’t know that, said Sunlight. I must have fall on a special one!!”

Then, Fennekin also join Litten, visibly wanting some affection and attention from his master.

“Oh, you also want to be petted? Said Sunlight. Get here, you little fur ball!!”

While he was cuddling his two pokemons, Motisma start to make noises. Sunlight soon notice Motisma’s strange attitude. Litten and Fennekin suddenly start to make agressive noise.

“What are you so upset?” asked Sunlight.

He get the answer when 3 huge creatures come out of the forest. They were very menacing and looked pretty strong.

“Oh no!! Said Motisma, We are in trouble!!”

“Why do you say that? Asked Sunlight. And can you show the names of these creatures?”

“This time, i will be fast, he said. These are 3 Pangoro, they are Dark/Fighting type Pokemons and they are known to being aggressive with those who enter their territory.”

”Hum, thought Sunlight. I could maybe beat the fire out of them, but i don’t want to cause a forest fire.”

Sunlight place himself in front of his two Pokemons to defend them.

“Hum, does these pokemons have a weakness to exploit, Motisma? What the Pokedex said about them?!”

“They have indeed a weakness, he answered. If the leaf in their mouth is destroyed, these pokemons lost all fighting spirit. By example, using fire on them”

“Fire, you said? Asked Sunlight. Well, i have two pokemons who know Ember”

“Right!!! But do quick!!!” said Motisma.

“Litten, Fennekin, he said, use Ember on the Pangoro’s leaf.!!”

The two little creatures throw a little ball of flame at 2 of the 3 opponents. The 2 Pangoro which the leaf have been burned immediately become passives. But the Last one was about to strike Sunlight with a powerful punch. This one use his magic to make Pangoro’s leaf catch fire, and the pokemon also become immobile and depressed.

“This is the moment, said Sunlight. Let’s just get out of here before more of them come!!”

The 2 pokemons, the Mostima-Dex obey and follow him. After running for 30 minutes, they take a break and breath a shot.

“Phiew, that was close, said Sunlight. Are everyone okay?”

His pokemons make him an affirmative sign, which was meaning they were fine. He put them back in their pokeballs and ask Motisma if he was near to the exit. The living Pokedex tell him they were not close to get out of the forest.

“Dang it!! Said Sunlight. I have enough of the forest!!! I want so much to burn it to the ground!!”

“Well, said Motisma, that would be a bad, very bad idea. A ton of innocent pokemon live in these woods and they depend of it to survive.”

Sunlight continue to walk, hoping he would soon get at the exit of the forest, But then, he arrive in front of a river.

“Oh great, water...he said. I hate water, especially when it’s cold.”

“I analyzed the water of this river and found it is clean for consumption” said the Motisma-Dex.

Sunlight withdraw his two pokemons out of their pokeball to let them drink the water.

“Hum, I am surprised that Fire Type pokemons need to drink water, said Sunlight. Should it will not be supposed to kill them?”

“Wrong, said the Motisma-Dex. Water is a vital element for every living beings. Even for Fire type pokemons. Did you not drink water too?”

“Well, Sure!!! Said Sunlight, but generally, i drink water too, but i prefer when it’s hot. I really love tea, hot chocolate, herbal tea. This is my quirk. Also, i am rarely thirsty and that will look weird for you, but i don’t sweat.”

“Hum, This is true!! Said Motisma. We walk for hours in this warm forest and you didn’t have a single drop of sweat, How this is possible.”

“This is genetical, said Sunlight. I am a little bit special, if i can say so myself....”

Motisma analyze Sunlight body with a lot of scanner.

“I detect that your body temperature is over the top, he said. In fact, your body temperature is at nearly 60°C. This is scientifically impossible for an human to be alive with that body temperature.”

“Maybe your scanners are wrong, said Sunlight. I am normal!! Alright, let’s continue our route, i just hope we will get out of the woods before the night.”

Sunlight look at the river and sigh.

”First, we have to cross this river, he thought. How am i going to do that without awakening more suspicions? Wait, i know!!!”

Sunlight order to his Fennekin and Litten to return in their balls, Then ask Motisma if he could lift him to the other side of the river.

“I am not that strong, he answered, And this Water seem cold, Hum, maybe if we could convince a Pokemon of this forest to take us on the other side, Like one with vine whip or strong enough to throw us...These Pangoro could have done the job. Hum, If you had a Psychic or Flying type Pokemon, that could have work too...”

“Screw it, i will try the jump!!” said Sunlight.

“No, if you fail, this is a 20 meters fall in the cold water of this river!! Said Motisma.”

Sunlight suddenly sit on the ground and look at his feet

“Hum, Wait, that’s it!! He said. I totally forgot i had them!!”

Sunlight active his rocket boots* and start to float in the airs. Motisma is surprised, in a good way.

“Rocket boots? He said. Beep, this is awesome!! Where did you got them?”

“Hum, well, i bought them, and then upgraded them myself” he answered.

Sunlight quickly reach the other side of the river but don’t stop there and fly above the forest. Motisma was following him too.

“I see a town at the horizon!! Said Sunlight. Let’s go!!!”

He fly in direction of the town, which take him near than 2 hour. He decide to land on the ground when he is at 1 kilometer to avoid attention. They walk the rest of the distance and arrive at the entrance of Santalune City. But the night was close and instead of heading to the arena, Sunlight head to an hostel. He remembered he had is magic purse* on him.

“Hum, do you accept the bits?” he asked to the owner of the place.

The owner was captivated by these solid gold coins.

“Sure!! He answered. I will easily be able to convert them in money later!! This is for only one?”

“Hum, i have also two Pokemons, answered Sunlight. Your hostel accept them, no?”

“We only accept little Pokemons, but you are responsible for them, if they cause any damage, you’ll have to pay them.”

Sunlight show his two companions.

“Hum, they are in rule, said the man who was owning the place. Let me show you your chamber!!”

The man show them a good looking room. The chamber had one bed, a bathroom, a mini-bar, a T.V and a lot of space.

“Do mister would love to eat something?” asked the owner.

“I will take something spicy, with a hot drink. Answered Sunlight. You have spicy meals, right?”

“Then, you will love our famous Inferno Chili, said the man. This is a chili very spicy and sweet made with a mix of Tamato, Razz, Spelon, Mago and Nanab Berries, incorporated with our Homemade sauce, quality meat and natural grown beans.”

“Hum, sound tasty...” said Sunlight.

“Are you sure about that? Asked Motisma to him. Two of the berries in this recipe are among the spiciest who exist!”

“I am sure, said Sunlight. I will take this meal!!”

After 30 minutes, the meal he ordered finally come. During that time, He took a shower and feed his pokemons with pokemon food.

“Be careful, this meal is extremely hot, in all the senses of the term, said the waiter. Enjoy your meal!!”

Sunlight take a spoon of the chili and eat it.

“Hum, are you okay, asked Mostisma, seeing that Sunlight had no reaction. I prevented you that it could be too spicy!!”

“This is...the best chili i ever ate of my life!! He answered. It’s sweet little taste match perfectly with it’s great spiciness!!”

He give a little bowl of it to his two pokemons, who immediately jump on it. Both eat the meal with appetite.

“Well, But don’t forget that the chili is a very fibrous meal, said Motisma. You may expect to have a bad time when you will wake up tomorrow!”

After finishing his meal, Sunlight watch for sometimes the T.V, then goes to bed. The next day, he woke up brutally because his intestines were in fire. He go to the bathroom, where he stay for at least 20 minutes. Motisma was laughing during that time. Sunlight finally exit the bathroom with a satisfied face.

“Don’t say anything, said Sunlight to his Motisma-Dex. Let’s just leave and head to the city Battle Gym...”

Sunlight leave the hostel and head to the local arena where he will challenge his first Gym Leader.

“Hum, maybe we should plan a battle strategy, said Motisma. Your pokemon maybe have the advantage, but without coordination and experience of battle, you will probably loose”

“Hum, that is a good idea, he answered. But, hum, can i nickname you?”

“Sure!! Answered the Pokedex, i can also mimic both male and female voices, depending of your preferences”

“Hum, well, Do you have in your repertory a feminine deep and calm voice?”

“I verify, said the Motisma-Dex. I found a match!!”

The Pokedex reboot himself in two minutes. Then when he start to talk, it’s voice have change to fit the preferences of Sunlight.

“Is this what you wanted?” asked the Motisma-Dex.

“This is perfect, answered Sunlight. Now, i will call you, hum...Cinder 2.0?”

“Hum, i get the fact you love everything that is fire related, But why 2.0?” asked the Pokedex.

“This is the name of a precious companion i had recently, before we got separated...” he answered.

The Motisma-Dex stay silent for a moment.

“Oh, I should be honored, then, that you consider me like a companion” he said.

“Hum, enough talking, said Sunlight. Now, show me these battle strategy you were talking about!”

“The basics or advanced ones?” asked Cinder 2.0

“Let’s begin with the basic ones” answered Sunlight.

While he was beginning to learn battle strategies, At the Illumis airport, Sunset finally arrived at destination.

“Kalos, There i am!!!” she said out loud.

At the minute Sunset was arrived in Illumis, she immediately head to Sycamore’s laboratory. Mew was sleeping in her bag and she didn’t want to wake him up. She arrive at the laboratory in 15 minutes and is welcomed by the professor Sycamore itself.

“Oh, You are finally arrived! He said. I was waiting your arrival for a while!”

He lead Sunset to the same room he lead Sunlight.

“So, you are the Professor Sycamore, she said. My name is Sunset Shimmer.”

“Yes, i am the professor Sycamore, he said. And i am glad to meet you, Sunset. Like the Professor Oak, my work consist to not only study pokemons, but help them. I also help the young kids who want to become trainer by giving them a starter Pokemon.”

“Hum, about that, she said. I am not familiar with elemental types...Do you have any Psychic types pokemon, or i don’t know, Fairy type?”

“Hum, i love your honesty, said the professor. Rare are the beginner trainers who ask for a different type starter Pokemon. And you are lucky because two months ago, i received from a friend a pair of Ralts, One male and the other Female. They are born from the same parents. The Ralts have the Fairy/Psychic dual type, and they are ideal for someone who begin his trainer carrier.”

“You really want to gave them to me? She said. I will be so glad of that honor!!”

The professor show the 2 little Ralts to Sunset.

“These pokemons are able to detect with their horns the emotions or other beings. If you feel sad, they will try to make you feel happier.”

She immediately fall in love with the cuteness of these little creatures. She put her hand near to them in order to touch them. The pokemon are first scared of this move, and use their magic powers to read in Sunset’s heart and seen a lot of love in it. So, they finally accept being petted by her. They immediately bound together and Sycamore gave her pokeballs to catch them. She show them the balls and let the pokemons make their choice. The two Ralts don’t hesitate and push on the button, getting instantly caught.

“Congratulation, said Sycamore, you are now their owner. Allow me to give you a Motisma-Dex and you will be ready to explore Kalos.”

“Hum, i already have one gave by the professor Oak” she said.

She show him her Pokedex.

“Well, this is not a Motisma-Dex, he said, But it will do the job. Then, i suppose you are ready to start your adventure! You can like many trainers who begin their carrier, choose to compete in the Pokemon League or if you are less of a fighter and more of an artist, compete in Pokemon Contests”

“Hum, What is the difference between the 2?” she asked.

“The Pokemon League is a competition where the best trainers of Kalos are reunited when they collect the 8 badges required, explained Sycamore. They fight each other in succession of rounds and the winner of the Final round will have the honor to challenge the Elite 4 and the Pokemon League champion, all of that for a chance to have the title of League Champion of Kalos. The Pokemon contest are different though. Instead of being based on fighting and battle strategies, Contests are more centered on the artistic style. The pokemons and their trainer will be judged on their grace and creativity while they perform on stage.”

“Hum, Both are interesting, she said. I am very competitive and i love a challenge, and a Pokemon League look like a big one. But i also have a great artistic side in me and Pokemon Contest seem very neat...Can i do both?”

“You mean, being a Pokemon Trainer and a Pokemon Artist? Asked Sycamore. Hum, that is possible but it will be difficult on the traveling side.”

“I am not worry about that, she said. I hear some Psychic type pokemons are able to master the teleportation”

“True, But teleportation only work if the Pokemon who use it know the destination place..., said Sycamore. Some of them, though, are skilled enough to locate the destination only by hearing the name or see a picture of it.”

“Hum, but if they use, well, a living being like a sort of tag?” she asked.

“Hum, he answered. They could effectively teleport in a place they never visited if someone they know well use to be here. But if we come back to your choice, I recommend you to choose only one.”

Sunset think for a few minutes about it, and once again, follow her instincts.

“Hum, I will be a Pokemon Trainer, she said. I will compete in the Pokemon League!”

“So, if this is your choice, there is a box to put your badges when you will earn them.” said Sycamore.

He gave her the box and 5 minutes later, Sunset leave the laboratory. She first go to a Pokemon Center and register her name for the League. Then, she leave the town and begin to head in direction of the Santalune’s Gym.

“Hum, interesting, she said. The first Gym Leader is a Bug type specialist. And judging by the list of affinities, the Psychic type is weak to it. That mean i will have to plan a good strategy in order to beat her”

While she was heading to her first destination, Sunlight, on his side, decided to finally challenge the Gym Leader Viola. So, he enter in the Gym, but see nobody in it.

“Hum, maybe she is absent, he thought, Well, Guess i will pass later...”

“Don’t move, young man!” said a feminine voice.

Sunlight don’t move and hear clicking noise similar to those make by photo cameras. He see a woman with a camera taking many photos from different angles of him.

“A last one and that will be done” said the woman.

She take a last one and then proceed to present herself.

“I am sorry if i take you by surprise, she said, but your costume is so awesome that i had to take pictures of it!! Beside, my name is Viola, i am a famous Pokemon photographer. I am also the Gym Leader of this city. If you enter in this arena, i suppose this is to challenge me, no?”

“Yes, i am here to win my first badge! He answered. Sycamore told me that you were, hum, habitually the first Gym Leader trainer were challenging, Because you, well”

“Yes, this is true, she said. In fact, you must know that there is no specific order. If you have talent, then i will use powerful pokemons, if you are a beginner, then i will use weaker pokemons. And judging by what i see, you don’t have any badges.”

She bring him to the arena where the battle will take place.

“The rules will be like this, she said. I will use only two pokemons, but you can use all of yours for this battle, how many do you have?”

“Two, answered Sunlight. Only two, so that will be a fair battle”

The referee begin the countdown and told the rules of the fight. Then he give the start signal. Viola is the first one to send her pokemon.

“Time to shine, Masquerain!!” said Viola, while sending her Pokemon

“You can do it, Fennekin!! Said Sunlight, also sending his first pokemon. I believe in you!!”

“Oh, a Fire type pokemon!! She said. Your costume should have gave me a good clue...That could give you the high ground in this fight, but don’t think you are certain to win this battle!! Masquerain, use Water Sport!!!”

The pokemon suddenly throw jet of water in the air, which make the air and the ground humid and damp.

“This attack will lower the power of all fire-type moves, she said. Now, Masquerain, use Water Gun!!”

The pokemon throw a powerful beam of water in direction of Fennekin. Sunlight order her to dodge the attack, which she do pretty easily.

“Don’t stop, Masquerain, said Viola, continue to use Water Gun!!!”

Sunlight keep ordering his pokemon to dodge, but he know that he had to make a move. The humidity in the air was beginning to weaken him.

“Hum, i planned she would have some tactics against Fire types, he thought. But i have an advantage in this battle and i have to exploit, but i need some times to execute it.”

Viola’s Masquerain was not even slowing the beat if her attacks, and Fennekin was beginning to exhaust itself.

“Okay, Fennekin, use scratch!!!” said Sunlight.

The pokemon jump in the direction of Masquerain, ready to hit it with her claws.

“I was waiting for you to attack directly, said Viola, Masquerain, use Protect!!!”

The pokemon block Fennekin’s attack, and make her land on the ground. Sunlight tell Fennekin to continue to strike with scratch until her attacks break trough Protect. After a few minutes, Masquerain is hurt by the attacks of Fennekin. But it took so long that she hurt herself a lot and was tired.

“Hum, not bad!! She said. But you merely scratched my pokemon, and your look pitiful and exhausted”

The effects of Water Sport suddenly stop and that surprised Viola.

“What? No, she though, the effects of my Water Sport already faded? How?”

That was due to the fact Sunlight’s body was overheating inside his costume and decided to remove it, unleashing a lot of heat on the terrain. (He was shirtless by the same occasion, just saying it). The heat didn’t took long before it make the water in the air evaporating. Most of it by touching his exposed skin. Viola immediately notice it too and look at her challenger, which have just his pants on him.

“I saw he was hot, she thought, charmed by the physique of Sunlight. But i didn’t expect him to be that hot, is body literally just make the humidity disappear...I have to immediately take a photo right now!! A such perfect body must be photographed”

Seeing that Viola was distracted, surely by his charm, Sunlight order Fennekin to use Ember, and the attack was boosted by the pokemon special ability: Blaze. The fire attack hit Masquearain, causing the Pokemon to faint in a powerful explosion of flames.

“Masquerain fainted and can’t continue the fight!! Said the referee. The first victory goes to our challenger!!”

Viola, during that time, took a few photos.

“That was worth the shot, she said to herself. You were lucky, if i can say so, you distracted me for a moment, i will admit, but that won’t happen again!! Go, Vivillion!!!”

She sent her second Pokemon, which have the form of a butterfly. Sunlight saw that Fennekin was exhausted.

“Hey, Fennekin, he said. You did a great job, you can rest for the moment”

But Fennekin refuse to give up and make him understand she wanted to continue. The pokemon face the Vivillion menacingly.

“Told me, before we continue, asked Viola. Are you normal?”

“What, why do you ask that? He answered. I am totally normal...”

“Really, because there is no human hot enough to do what you did, she said. I mean, an human body can’t be that hot!”

“Maybe it’s because my body is so divine...he said on a seductive tone. I mean, look at those muscles, those beautiful pecks and these godly abs. Who wouldn’t melt when seeing this perfect body?”

Viola try to resist to Sunlight’s charm, but she can’t. Sunlight decide that was the moment to attack while she was distracted again. (He had no shame to use his body to seduce Viola. Also, that was part of his battle strategy) Fennekin finish Vivillion with an overpowered Ember.

“Vivillion fainted, The last pokemon of Viola defeated, said the referee, the final victory come to our challenger, Sunlight Blaze!!”

“Good job, Fennekin, and thank you for the idea of using my body in this fight, Cinder 2.0!!” he said to both of them.

“And i am glad you listened!!” said the Motisma-Dex.

Viola get out of her trance and realize she lost the battle. She return Vivillion in her pokeball with a little smile

“Meh, I can work with that, she thought. This is not everyday i challenge hot trainers, that was a good moment!”

She walk to Sunlight with a smile.

“Hum, That was an interesting battle, she said to him. Your strategy was unexpected but very effective, i will admit.”

“He he he, he said. You are not pissed by that strategy?”

“Nah, just a little bit ashamed, she said. I feel like you cheated a little. But, i will give you the badge if you accept to let me take some photos of you.”

“Hum, what are you going to do with them?” he asked.

“That, this is not of your concerns, she said. I promise, though, that i will not publish them without your permission.”

“Hum, why not, he said. Where should i pose?”

Viola bring him inside the Gym and put him in front of a beach background. She take many photos with a smile on her face. She change the background a lot of time. Then, after 25 minutes, she was done with the photos.

“I’m done, now, she said. I am proud and glad to give you the Bug Badge, symbol of your victory in Santalune’s Battle Gym! And thank you for the pictures, she said. Do i have a way to join you if your pictures have success?”

“You can call me via Cinder 2.0, he answered. This is the name of my Motisma-Dex.”

Sunlight and Viola proceed to get each other numbers. When that was done, Sunlight put on his costume and go to a Pokemon Center to heal is Fennekin. That took a few hours, but the nurse Joy came back with his fully recovered Fennekin.

“Your pokemon have completely recovered for his exhaustion, she said. I hope that was not too long”

“Nah, i am just happy to see my little Fennekin healed, he said. Thank you, nurse Joy!!”

“That was a pleasure!!” she said.

So, in possession of his first badge, Sunlight was now ready to get another one, but before, he decide to make some shopping.

Sunset was walking for a while in the forest. Sure, she could have use Mew's teleport to directly head to Santalune and challenge the Gym Leader immediately, but she felt like that would be too easy. So she had the intention of grinding her two Ralts by defeating wild pokemons, and if she was lucky, capture one of two Psychic type Pokemons for her team. She have already defeated a lot of wild pokemons, so many that both Ralts were exhausted and needed rest.

"Phiew, i am feeling bad to have beaten all those poor wild pokemons, she thought. But i am sure they will be okay after a few hours."

Sunset feel suddenly thirsty and look for a water source. She explore for a moment the surroundings and found one. The only problem was it was kept by 3 menacing pokemons, All panda-like. She notice that they were looking strange, like depressed.

"Why are these 3 creatures so depressed? she thought. If only i could touch them, i will be able to know what happened."

She walk slowly in the direction of the 3 pokemons. These ones see her, but don't give a fuck about it. Sunset came close enough of one and touch his arm. She see him and his 2 buddies attacking a group of two little pokemons, a Motisma-Dex and a man with a familiar costume and voice. She heard what the Motisma-Dex said about the fact these pokemons leaf in their mouth are so important for them than if they loose it, they will become depressed. She stop reading his memories.

"How, you are sad because you lost your lucky leaf, she said. Hum, let me see if the Pokedex have more to say about them."

She read on the Pokedex that Pangoro's lucky leaf, if lost, can only be replaced by a new one of a particular bamboo species.

"Where can i found these bamboo leafs? she thought. Hum, the Pokedex can certainly told me where i can find this particular bamboo."

She search for the location of the spot and find that she was just at 3 kilometers in direction of the east. she remembered passing there and so, ask Mew to teleport them at this place. She disappear and reappear in the middle of the Bamboo plantations and pick 3 leafs that she put in her pocket. Mew bring her back to the group of Pangoro's and gave each of them a leaf. The 3 pokemons immediately recover their energy and look at Sunset.

"Oh, crap!! what i was thinking?!" she said.

But the 3 Pangoro just run away, what don't bother Sunset at all. She decide to drink some water of the source, but then, one of the Pangoro's come back with something in his hands. He gave it to Sunset and smile, then leave her alone. Sunset look at the object and see that was something shiny and looking like a Mega-Gem. She use her Pokedex once again to got info on that stone and learn that was a Alakazamite, which she keep in her bag.

"Awesome, she thought. But that man i see when i read Pangoro's memories is so familiar, this costume, i've seen it somewhere before. That voice also sound familiar...No, could that be him?"

She was feeling excited at the idea that his brother was also trapped in that world.

"The magic fire and that voice, no doubt, she said. This is Sunlight for sure!! I can't believe he is also in this world, in the same region than me, i have to find him!! But where? But for the moment, i will focus on catching one more pokemon for the Gym battle..."

She pass 2 hours to search for a Psychic or Fairy type pokemon in the woods. But she didn't find any and begin to think she should directly head to Santalune right now. But at the moment she would give up, she see a strange yellow pokemon not far from her. She scan it with her Pokedex and learn that the creature was an Abra, a Psychic type. Sunset decide to walk slowly in it's direction and order Mew to help her for it's capture.

"Mew, i will need your help to capture him, she said mentally to him. Can you do that for me?"

The pokemon answer by teleporting in front of Abra and try to sympathize with him. The two pokemons have a talk and the Abra look in the direction of Sunset. She deduce that Mew must have mentioned her name to him, then Mew take one of Sunset's empty Pokeball and show it to Abra. The little pokemon look once again at Sunset and teleport in her hands, to next return in front of Mew and the Pokeball. At her surprise, Abra touch it and let himself get caught. Sunset take the pokeball and put in in her bag.

"Now, all i have to do is a little bit more grinding and we will be finally ready for the Gym Battle!!!" she said.

Meanwhile, on the way to the next city, Sunlight also decided to challenge wild pokemons to grind the level of his team. The 5 hours he passed to do it were worth it. Not only his Litten evolved into a Torracat and his Fennekin into a Braixen, he also caught two new pokemons: a Vulpix and a Houndour. Which he had time to train a little. But now, Sunlight was arrived to a place called the Battle Chateau.

"Finally, a place where me and my pokemons will be able to rest! he said. This place look like a medieval castle, i am sure this is a chic place to sleep."

But when he enter, he see a lot of trainers fighting against each other in Pokemon battles. Then, he is stopped by a man dressed elegantly.

"Hum, welcome to the Battle Chateau" he said to Sunlight.

"Battle...Chateau? asked Sunlight. Oh great..."

The man explain to the young trainer everything about the Battle Chateau.

"Hum, I can certainly do a couple of fight, he said, question of grinding the level of my Houndour and my vulpix."

"If you are interested to battle, follow me" said the old man

Sunlight arrive in a place where many other trainers were talking or petting their Pokemons.

"Any new trainers who fight for the first time at the Battle Chateau are reunited in this room, said the man. To earn the title of Baron, you have to beat at least one of the trainer in this room in Pokemon battle."

The man let Sunlight alone with the others in the room. Many other trainers were looking at him, or more especially, his costume. One of them, a girl, talk to him.

"Hey, this is a nice costume you have, she said. I love the hero-like style of it! Where did you find it?"

"Hum, Well, i made it myself, he answered, knowing that was not totally a lie. The style of my costume is based effectively on those of the typical heroes of the fairy tales. I also bring a lot of modifications by adding advanced technology to it."

"Advanced technology? she asked. Like what?"

"Hum, first, this costume is also a battle armor, he answered, I reinforced it to make it totally fireproof, shock absorbing, cold resisting, waterproof and bulletproof. I don't look like one, but i am a genius."

"And what about the colors of your costume?" she asked.

"Well, i love these colors, they are representative of me, he said. I choose these shades of colors because i like the fire a lot. I can even say it is my soul element."

While he was speaking with the girl, The owner of the place told them they will soon battle. After a speech, the man call the 6 trainers which will fight in 3 separated arenas and Sunlight is one of them. He find himself against a young kid who is intimidated by Sunlight's costume.

"This battle will be one vs one, said the referee. Each trainer can only use one Pokemon!! The battle will finish when one of the two pokemons will faint!! Are you ready? send your pokemon!!"

"Alright!! said the young kid. i choose you, Skarmory!!!"

"A Steel type, uh? said Sunlight. Well, in that case, i send you, Braixen!!"

"Don't let him attack, said the young trainer, Skarmory, use Air Slash"

"Braixen, use Flamethrower!!!" said Sunlight.

The fire attack enter in contact with the air blades, destroying them and hurting the Skarmory. Sunlight was surprised to see the opponent pokemon still flying in the air.

"Finish him, said Sunlight. Use Flamethrower again!!!"

Braixen obey and strike the poor Skarmory with the attack. The flying pokemon fall on the ground, K.O.

"No!! Skarmory!!" said the young kid.

"Skarmory fainted and can't continue the fight, said the referee, the victory go to Sunlight Blaze!!"

Sunlight return Braixen in her pokeball and hold the hand of the young trainer in symbol of respect.

"You are no joke!! said the kid. With that talent, you could easily reach the top!!"

"This is the type advantage who make the difference in this battle, said Sunlight. But you put a good challenge, continue like that and you too, could reach the top."

Sunset, on her side, finally arrive to Santalune. Her first decision is to head directly to the local Gym Leader arena. By asking to people, she easily find her way. She enter in the building and yell:

"I am here to challenge the Gym Leader!!"

"You don't have to shout that loud, you know, said a woman voice. I am Viola, the Gym Leader you want to challenge"

"Nice to meet you, said Sunset. I am Sunset Shimmer!"

"Now that we are presented, let's begin the battle!!" said Viola.

She quickly explain to Sunset the rules of the battle, then the referee do the same when the two are in the arena.

"I hope you are ready" said Viola.

"I am, answered Sunset. For my first Pokemon, i send you, Tarsal!!"

"Hum, a Psychic type? said Viola, You know that the Bug type is super effective on them"

"I know, she answered. But i have trained a lot before challenging you!"

"In that case, I send you, Masquerain!! said the Gym Leader. Use Signal Beam!!"

The Masquerain send a beam of light in direction of the Tarsal, who is not fast enough to dodge it. But thank to his fairy type, he resisted.

"That attack was fast, though Sunset. I need to focus on the offensive!!"

Tarsal get up and look at Sunset.

"Hum, wait until she attack" she said to him.

Viola order to her pokemon to use Signal Beam another time on Tarsal.

"Now!! use Double Team!!" said Sunset.

Tarsal create a dozen of copies of itself and avoid the attack.

"Hum, good use of this move, said Viola. A pokemon using Double Team make him harder to hit. But you need to attack if you want to win!! Masquerain, use Air Slash multiple times!!"

The pokemon begin to destroy Ralts' clones quickly and Sunset knew she had to react fast.

"Use Teleport!! said Sunset. And then, Confusion!!"

The Ralts disappear and reappear behind the Masquerain and use Confusion to bring the pokemon down. Masquerain get up but seem to be dizzy.

"He is confused" said Sunset.

Viola's pokemon hurt itself against the walls and the branches of the nearby trees. Ralts use that advantage to spam Confusion and put K.O the Masquerain.

"Masquerain is not able to fight anymore, said the referee. The first victory goes to our challenger!!!"

Sunset Ralts feel suddenly weird and start to glow in a shiny blue light.

"What is happening!?" asked Sunset.

"Look like your Ralts is evolving!" said Viola

Ralts finish his evolution, which make him triple of size and changed his look a lot. Sunset take her Pokedex and analyze her pokemon. Ralts evolved into a Kirlia and judging by the Pokedex description, had acquired more power and versatility. Meanwhile, Viola send her second Pokemon, Vivillion.

"Okay, you can do it, Kirlia, said Sunset. I believe in you!!!"

Suddenly, one of Sunset's item in her bag appear near Kirlia. That was the Dawn Stone she received from the jeweler. She immediately suspect Mew, and when she was near to reprimand him, she see Kirlia touching the stone. The same blue light appear around him.

"What? said Sunset. Kirlia is evolving again?"

"No way, said Viola, I heard some Pokemons evolve by using special stones!"

"Really? asked Sunset. The man who gave this stone to me told me that it was a Dawn Stone."

"A Dawn Stone, you said? asked Viola. So that mean..."

Kirlia finish his evolution and reveal his final form.

"Awesome! said Viola. Your Kirlia evolved into a Gallade."

"A Gallade? she said. I though that Gardevoir was it's final evolution."

"Naturally, yes, answered the Gym Leader. Every Kirlia, female or male, can evolve into a Gardevoir with enough training. But what is amazing about Kirlia is that he is a male, you can evolve it into a Gallade, by using a Dawn Stone."

"Cool, i need to learn what he can do!!" said Sunset.

She use her Pokedex and analyze Gallade. She learn that he was now a Psychic/Fighting type. Gallade, on his side, put away half of his old moves and decide to learn 2 totally new ones fitting with his style. He force Sunset to touch his head so she could also acknowledge his new moves. Then, she make a research on the four he learned.

"Wow, this moveset is awesome!! She said. Time to put them at the test!! Use Night Slash on Vivillion!!"

Gallade, fast as a lighting, make his arms glow dark purple and use them to strike Vivillion, which is thrown on the ground.

"Wow, he is so fast!! said Viola. Quick, Vivillion, use Air Slash!!"

The pokemon hit Gallade with the attack, which send him away.

"Great, said Viola, Now, use whirlwind!!"

"Are you okay, Gallade?" asked Sunset.

Her pokemon get up and show to his master he is okay

"Good, use your arms and plant them into the ground!!" said Sunset.

Gallade obey and stick his arms into the ground.

"Go, Vivillion!! said Viola. Use Air Slash and Whirlwind consecutively!!"

Vivillion obey to Viola and spam the two attacks repetitively on Gallade, who was suffering a lot. But with the encouragements of Sunset, he was resisting.

"This is enough, Gallade, said Sunset. This is time to end her Pokemon! Use Teleport and Night Slash!!"

Gallade disappear to instantly reappear behind Vivillion and strike him with Night Slash. The attack is so powerful that the butterfly-like pokemon is projected against the walls of the arena.

"Vivillion is not able to continue the fight!! said the referee. The second and final victory goes to the challenger Sunset Shimmer!!"

Gallade faint a short moments after and after congratulating him, return him in his pokeball and so does Viola. She walk in direction of Sunset and gave her the Bug Badge.

"You are very talented, Sunset, she said. You are the second trainer today to challenge me a pull out a victory. Now, i have to prepare myself for the Battle Chateau."

Viola leave the arena and Sunset bring her Gallade to a Pokemon Center. One hour later, when her pokemon was healed, she decide to eat at a restaurant because she was hungry. When she was full, she made some shopping and then leave the city.

"Oh no!! she though, i forgot to ask Viola if she saw Sunlight recently!! Wait, she told me she was heading to the Battle Chateau!!"

Sunset look on her Pokedex and select the region map.

"Ha, there it is, she said. This is not too late!! Mew, Teleport me here!!"

Mew was sleeping in her bag.

"Oh, fuck, she thought. Guess i will have to walk..."

So, with her team, Sunset head in direction of the Battle Chateau. Meanwhile, Sunlight had won his 10 victories and earned the title of Viscount. He also get the attention of Grant, the Gym Leader he will have to challenge next, which told him he will be waiting for Sunlight at Cyllage. So, he leave the place and walk for another couple of hours, to stop when he see the dusk was coming. He was already installing his camp for the night. Sunset was also in the same situation than him, with the hope that she will finally find her brother tomorrow.

The next morning, Sunset is finally arrived at the Battle Chateau. At the moment she enter, she is welcome by a old man who tell her the rules and mechanics of the Battle Chateau.

"Hum, I will accept to compete in at least a couple of these battles, said Sunset. But in exchange, i want to know if someone called Sunlight Blaze passed here, he wear a red outfit and a mask. Do you saw him recently?"

"Yes, indeed, said the old man. Why that question? Do you know him?"

"Hum, he is kinda my brother, she said. He left the home without even telling me about that and that pissed me off."

"Oh, this is a funny story" said the old man.

Sunset was thinking she should touch the man to read his memories, but didn't want to be awkward.

"We effectively received the visit of your brother, said the man. He left yesterday after earning the title of Viscount."

"Damn it, she said. Do he told you where did he was going next?"

"No, i am just charged to greet and welcome the newcomers, said the man. But i know someone who might know the answer to your question. If you can win 10 battles in a row, i am sure the person i told you about might be interested to see you."

"10 in a row...,she thought, i can't waste my time!! The more time i will spend here, the further Sunlight will get from me."

"Uh, Milady?" asked the man.

"Sorry, she answered. I can't battle today! I have to find my brother immediately!!"

She leave the Battle Chateau and run away. she run for a moment before she stop to take her breath.

"Think Sunset, think!! she thought. You know Sunlight passed at the Battle Chateau and leave it yesterday. If i was him, where would i go next, i am sure he challenged Viola, so he must be heading for a second Gym."

She search for the nearest city with a Gym Leader and fall on Cyllage.

"Bingo!! she said. There is great chances that Sunlight must be heading there. I need to get to Cyllage City before him, so i could intercept him. Mew, can you sent me there?"

She show the image of the City Gym to Mew, then the pokemon use teleport. Sunset reappear at the top of a tall building.

"Mew!!! she said. Why did you send me on the top of this building?"

The pokemon laugh.

"Well, at least, i can see something looking like a Battle Gym at the horizon!! she said. Mew, please teleport us near to the Gym, on the ground."

Mew obey and teleport Sunset once again, this time near to the Gym. She read on a board at the entrance: Cyllage City Gym» and then another one with: «Only the bests will be able to jump the big wall»

"Hum, what does that mean?" she thought, while entering the arena.

Once inside, she see a lot of climbing walls.

"Oh, this is what the message at the entrance was meaning" she said.

"Yes, but no..." said the voice of a man beside her.

Sunset turn her head and see a man, young and wearing climbing equipment.

"Hum, Do you know where i can find the Gym Leader in here?" she asked

"No need, you have the Gym Leader in front of you, said the man. I am Grant, the champion of Cyllage City's Gym."

"I am here to challenge you..." she said.

Grant see that Sunset had a Keystone on her.

"Well, the arena is on the top of this cliff, he said, pointing the highest spot in the Gym. In order to challenge me, you need to get on the top. You can climb the wall to the top, or take the elevator just at the right, your choice. I will challenge you whether you chose one or another, though..."

"Or..." she said, making her and him disappear and reappear at the top of the cliff.

Grant is surprised and Sunset smile of his reaction.

"I am a Psychic type specialist, she said. All of my pokemons know teleport."

"Interesting, Psychic Types vs Rock Types, that battle will be awesome." said the Gym Champion.

The referee arrive and announce the rules of the battle, Grant will only use 2 Pokemons, while Sunset could use all of her pokemons.

"Let the battle begin!!!" said the Referee.

"Alright, said Grant. I choose you, Tyrunt!!!"

A dinosaur like pokemon appear in front of her. The creature had the look of a T-Rex and was menacing.

"Hum, i choose you, Ralts!!" she said.

"A fairy type, uh? he said. That mean i will not be able to use Draco-Meteor in this battle. Whatever, Tyrunt, use Iron Tail!!!"

The dinosaur's tail become silver and shiny and charge in direction of the Ralts with it.

"Use Teleport!!" said Sunset.

Ralts obey and disappear in time to avoid the attack.

"Teleport will be a big problem in this fight, thought Grant. I need to counter it if i want to touch her pokemons"

"Alright, now use Double Team!!!" she yelled.

Ralts multiply itself and surround the Tyrunt.

"Alright, now use Confusion!!" said Sunset.

"Jump and avoid them" said Grant

The pokemon jump high in the sky and avoid Ralts attack.

"What the..., she said. How can this pokemon jump so high?"

"Now, use all you weight and use stomp on the ground!!"

Tyrunt land on the ground violenty and the impact create a shock wave and a lot of sand to hit all the Ralts clones. who disappear immediately. Sunset is surprised and Grant use that moment to strike.

"Now, no mercy, he said. Use Iron Tail!!"

The Tyrunt hit this time Ralts, who is send against the wall behind Sunset.

"Ralts!! she said. No!!"

But at her surprise, Ralts was still conscious. The Pokemon start to glow and evolve in a spectacle of blue shiny lights.

"Kir...Lia!!" said the Pokemon.

"She finally evolved!!! she said. Good job!!"

"Well, that is surprising, said Grant, but the fight is not over!! charge, Tyrunt!! Use Iron Tail once again!!!

Tyrunt run in Kirlia's direction, ready to strike her with his glowing tail. Kirlia stop the Pokemon by glowing and sending explosive light shards on him.

"What? said Grant. Tyrunt!!"

"What was this attack?" asked Sunset.

"Dazzling Gleam..., said Grant. Tyrunt, don't let her use this attack again!! Use Iron Head!!!"

"Use Teleport, Kirlia, said Sunset. And then, use Dazzling Gleam!!"

"Heck no, said Grant. Not this time!!"

Kirlia disappear for a moment and reappear above the pokemon.

"Jump!!! said Grant. And strike her with Iron Head!!!"

The Tyrunt jump in the sky.

"Use Dazzling Gleam!!!" she said.

Kirlia obey and use the move on Tyrunt, damaging him badly. But she get hit by Tyrunt's Iron Head attack and get send high in the air. The two Pokemons fall on the ground a few moment later, K.O. Sunset and Grant are both shocked.

"Double K.O!!! said the referee. Tyrunt and Kirlia are not able to fight anymore!!"

"Great job, Tyrunt." said Grant, while returning his pokemon in his pokeball.

"I am proud of you, Kirlia, said Sunset. You can rest now..."

"You are very strong, i have to admit, said Grant. But do you think you can beat my next obstacle? Go, Aerodactyl!!!"

"Another dinosaur like Pokemon? asked Sunset. You really love them..."

"I love two things, he said. Rock climbing and Fossil Pokemons."

"Nice, she answered. I send you, Gallade!!!"

"Hum, she have a Keystone and a Pokemon able to Mega-Evolve, said Grant. If she will do what i think, then..."

Grant remove something from his pocket, Sunset recognize it and see that was a Keystone. She then look at Aerodactyl and see around his neck a necklace with a Mega-Gem.

"Now, time to show you i am not messing!! he said. Aerodactyl, Mega-evolve!!!"

The pokemon glow in a rainbow light and his body change of form, spikes appear on his wings and beak and after 10 second, Mega-Aerodactyl reveal itself to Sunset.

Mew teleport the Galladite in the hands of Gallade. Then Gallade look at Sunset with determination, then at her Keystone. Sunset immediately know what Gallade was waiting from her. She touch her Keystone and like with the Keystone of Grant, hers glow and connect with the Galladite hold by Gallade.

"Can our mind and our hearts make one, she said. Gallade, Mega-Evolve!!!"

Gallade begin to transform and like Aerodactyl, he change of form. The transformation was a little slow, but the result was amazing. Mega Gallade reveal itself, he was different. Swords had appeared on his arms and a elegant cape had appeared on his back. He was looking like a knight ready to strike the enemy.

"That worked, she said. But i was thinking that 3 element were necessary in order to use the Mega-Evolution."

"This is true, said Grant. You need a Keystone, the Mega Gem of the pokemon you want to make Mega-Evolve and to have a strong bound with your Pokemon. If you have the 3 requirements, then you can use it. Now, let's battle"

Sunset smile and look at Gallade with determination and this one too. Grant attack first.

"Go, Mega-Aerodactyl!! he said. Use Rock Tomb!!!"

The pokemon create rocks from nothing and throw them at Gallade. But the Pokemon cut trough them with multiple Leaf Blade attacks.

"He is not affected the attack!? though Grant. Rock Tomb usually make my opponent hesitate to attack because it is so sudden and unpredictable. Her Mega-Gallade must possess an ability making him immune against fear."

"Your doing great, Gallade, said Sunset. Use Night Slash!!!"

Gallade jump in direction of Aerodactyl to strike him with the attack.

"Counter with Dragon Claws!!!" said Grant

Aerodactyl block Gallade's attack and send him back on the ground. Sunset told Gallade to repeat the attack, but Grant was countering each time with Dragon Claws.

"Use Leaf Blade!!" she said.

"Counter with Iron Wings!!" he said.

Aerodactyl's Iron Wings block Gallade's Leaf Blade and send him once again away. Sunset was beginning to rage and Grant was smiling.

"What do you think about my Mega-Aerodactyl ability? he asked. He have Though Claws, which greatly boost the power of his physical attacks. Now, time to finish this. Aerodactyl, use Aerial Ace!!!"

The attack hit Gallade violently, sending him colliding against one of the walls. Sunset run in his direction.

"Gallade!! she said. Please, tell me you are okay!!"

"Finish him with Dragon Claws!!" said Grant.

Sunset put herself in front of Gallade to protect him.

"Aerodactyl, Stop!!" said Grant, when he see Sunset protecting Gallade.

But the pokemon don't listen him and is about to strike with Dragon Claws

"Oh no!!!" said grant

Gallade, touched by the action of his master, woke up and teleport himself and Sunset out of the way. Gallade reappear with her behind Aerodactyl and throw at him a powerful Psycho Cut. The pokemon is hit by the multiple blades of psychic energy and crash against the same wall than Gallade. Before Aerodactyl have the time to attack. he finish him with another Psycho Cut. Aerodactyl return to his base form and fall on the ground, K.O

"Aerodactyl is not able to battle anymore, The final Victory goes to the Challenger, Sunset Shimmer, and her Pokemon!!"

Grant send back his pokemon while Gallade return to his base form. The Gym Leader walk in her direction and give her the Cliff Badge. He also apologize for the attitude of his Aerodactyl and the fact she could have been killed. Then Sunset reveal to Grant that using the Mega-Evolution on Aerodactyl was painful for him, so much that he will loose his mind and attack everything in his way.

"If only i knew that..., said the Gym Leader. Thank you for telling me this information, Sunset Shimmer. I promise i will be more careful with his Mega, and the next time we will see each other, things will be different"

Then, on these words, Sunset leave the arena and bring her pokemons to the Pokemon Center. Then, while they were recovering, Sunset was waiting.

Meanwhile, Sunlight, on his side, was nearly arrived at Cyllage City.

"Phiew, that cave was a nightmare, he said. These Zubats were a pain in the but...He he...At least, i didn't travel it for nothing."

Sunlight, during the exploration of the cave, had defeated so much Zubats that he made his Houdour evolve into a Houndoom, his Braixen into a Delphox and his Torracat into an Incineroar. Only Vulpix didn't evolved yet, Sunlight didn't know why, but Cinder 2.0 reveal him the reason. He needed a Fire Stone to make her evolve. But now, he was walking and after 15 minutes, arrived in the city. His first tough was to visit a shop selling stones and found one. He enter in it and ask the woman owning the place of she had a Fire Stone.

"Sure, we have Fire Stones, Leaf Stones, Water Stones, Thunder Stones, and even Keystones and Mega Gems." she answered.

Sunlight remembered that Sycamore said something about the Mega-Evolution and what was required to trigger one. Sure, He then searched on his Motisma-Dex which Pokemons were able to Mega-Evolve and discovered ha had one on his team: Hondoom.

"I will buy one Fire Stone, he said. But told me, How much Cost this Keystone?"

"50 000 Yens" she answered.

"And among your Mega-Gems, do you have one for an Houndoom?"

"Unfortunately, not in this town, she said. But i heard a woman named Malva possess a Mega-Houndoom. I am sure she can help you get an Houndoomite. There is an image of what she look like."

The woman show him the photo of Malva.

"In that case, i will bought this Fire Stone and this Keystone."

"That will be 53000 yens in total" she said.

Sunlight put in front of the woman a pile of gold coins.

"You accept gold, no?" he asked.

The woman was impressed by the number of bits in front of her.

"I heard that gold was worth a fortune here, am i right?"

"Yes, she answered. I forgot to said that for one Keystone bought, you can get one Mega-Gem of your choice with it"

"Hum, i will take, that one in the middle!" he said, following his instincts

"This Mega-Gem is a Charizardite X, she said. Are you sure of your choice?"

"Sure, said Sunlight. Thank you!!"

"Have a good day!!" she said.

Sunlight immediately give the Fire Stone to Vulpix. When she touch it, she begin to evolve. After 20 seconds, Vulpix had evolved to become a Ninetales. Now with 4 fully evolved Pokemons on his team, Sunlight was sure that the second badge would be a piece of cake.

"Before challenging Grant, he thought, i have to heal my pokemons, their trip in that cave was painful for them and they need it."

So, Sunlight walk to the Pokemon Center and enter at the same moment Sunset was leaving it. They bump into each other and when they saw each other, the world stop around them.

"Sunlight?" said Sunset.

"Sunset?" said Sunlight.

A few hours had passed since Sunset and Sunlight reunited. They were silent for a long time, but Sunset broke the ice and hugged him. Then, they discussed about what happened to them since they were in this world. Sunset told him about her encounter with Mew, Professor Oak, Professor Sycamore, how she got her Keystone and the Mega-Gems, The Pangoro's, her battle against Viola and then Grant. Sunlight him, told her about his encounter with Professor Sycamore, how he got the Motisma-Dex, The battle with the Pangoro's, him friending Litten and Fennekin, then catching later Houndour and Vulpix, his battle against Viola and at the Battle Chateau, then how he acquired his Keystone and a Mega-Gem. After they summarized everything, they decide to go eating at a restaurant cause Sunset was hungry.

"Let me pay, said Sunlight. I insist."

"No, i will pay!" she said.

They argue for a long time about that, but this is Sunset who finally won the argument battle. They order their meal and wait to be served.

"Hum, tell me, Sunlight, said Sunset, do you think we are the only two from our world here?"

"You mean if one of our friends also got in this world? he answered. This is possible, but i am going to bet that maybe not."

"We don't even know how we landed here, she said. Do you have an idea?"

"Well, we seem to have appeared at the same time, but at different place, he answered. I remember that i wished the night before i woke in this world to live a great adventure. In some way, i suppose my wish had been granted."

"What about me? she asked. I don't think i wished to be teleported from my home to a totally new place."

Sunlight remember beside the fact he wished for a great adventure, he also had a thought for Sunset and the culpability to let her alone. That was maybe his fault if Sunset landed here with him, but decide to not tell her now.

"Hum, he said, maybe you were thinking, i don't know, to something concerning me?"

Sunset stay silent and look somewhere else, embarrassed. Yes, she effectively had a thought for Sunlight, each night since she met him.

"Hum, yes, i have a thought for you each night before closing my eyes, she answered. I know this is weird..."

"What? Why? he asked. There is no shame to have a thought for his family before going to bed. I have myself a thought for you and my parents each night."

Sunset didn't want to admit that she have an obsession with him. She realized it when Sunlight was gone for 2 days, which have been hard for her emotionally. She wanted so much a brother in her life and finally got one. And the thought he would disappear or go away from her was her worst fear. She love her brother more than everything and didn't want him to reject or leave her. But luckily, their meal finally arrive, breaking this awkward silence. They eat silently and after they finished, Sunset pay the bill and the two leave the place. Sunlight next go to the Pokemon Center to heal is Pokemons and Sunset come with him, realizing she let her pokemons there too. 2 more hours later, Sunlight decide to challenge Grant before the dusk and head to the arena. Sunset tell him that she will encourage him during the battle. So, when Sunlight enter the arena, he is greet by Grant.

"Hey, you are finally arrived!! he said. And i see you are back too, Sunset"

"I am just here to support my brother during his battle" she said.

Grant tell Sunlight whether he prefer to climb a wall to the top, where the arena was, or take the elevator. Not being a pussy, Sunlight choose climbing and challenge Grant to the top. The Gym Leader is the first on the top, followed by Sunlight, who was only 4 seconds behind him. Then, the referee explain the rules and give the signal of the battle.

"Let's the battle begin!!!" he said.

"Alright, said Grant. For my first pokemon, i send you, Onyx!!!"

Sunset was surprised he didn't send Tyrunt instead.

"Hum, he he, said Sunlight. Make me proud, Incineroar!!!"

"Wow, i never saw that pokemon before, said Grant. I hope he will surprise me. Onyx, use Sandstorm!!!"

Onyx summon a strong wind followed by sand and dust. Sunlight, protected by his costume and mask, was not affected but his Incineroar was.

"Sandstorm have the advantage of increasing the special defense of Rock types pokemons, said Grant. Plus, that will cause problems for your pokemons. Now, Onyx, Use Rock Blast!"

Onyx begin to shoot big rock balls to Incineroar.

"Hum, Dodge them, Incineroar!!" said Sunlight.

Incineroar succeed to avoid some of them, but one hit him. He groan of pain, but take the blow.

"Sandstorm is very problematic, said Sunlight. I see where Onyx is, but my Incineroar won't be able to touch him. I need to find a way to counter this storm, if only i could change the weather...That's right!!"

Grant still order to Onyx to use Rock Blast on Incineroar, who was not able to avoid all of them.

"Come back, Incineroar!! said Sunlight. I hope this Pokemon will do the job...Ninetails, go!!!"

Sunlight send the pokemon on the terrain.

"Use Sunny Day" he say to his pokemon.

Ninetails make the sandstorm disappear and replace it by a harsh light.

"You are not the only one with a weather move, said Sunlight. Ninetails, use Will-O-Wisp!!"

The pokemon send on Onyx ghost flames who burn him at his contact.

"Oh no, Onyx!! said Grant. Let's end this battle quickly!! Use Rock Tomb!!!"

Onyx summon boulders that he throw at Ninetails.

"Hum, avoid them!! said Sunlight. And then, use Flamethrower!!"

Ninetails avoid with grace the attack and use her move on Onyx, causing a powerful explosion.

"With Sunny Day, thought Grant, Fire type moves are way more powerful. If i decide to use Sandstorm, he will just have to use Sunny Day to counter it. I need to strike with precision..."

"Perfect, said Sunlight, Now, use Solar Beam!!!"

"Oh no!! said Grant. Quick, Onyx!! use Stone Edge!!!"

Onyx unleash the power of earth on Ninetails, and this one release Solar beam at the same time. Both attacks hit each of the Pokemon and put them K.O in a big explosion. Sunset, watching the fight, was pumped up by emotion and fear.

"Double K.O!! said the referee. Ninetails and Onyx are not able to fight anymore!!!"

"I see you have some talents! said Grant. That Sunny Day and Solar Beam combo was very bright of you. If that was not for that, my Onyx wouldn't have fainted. But this is time to show you my second pokemon...Go, Aerodactyl!!"

He send Aerodactyl on the terrain. Sunset immediately have flashbacks of her battle against him with Gallade.

"Hum, alright, i send you, Incineroar!! said Sunlight. Show him what you are made of!!!"

Incineroar reappear on the terrain and look at the Aerodactyl, who was high above Grant.

"Aerodactyl!! use Air Slash!! said the Gym Leader!"

"Don't fear it, Incineroar, said Sunlight. Get closer of him and strike with a Cross Chop!!!"

Incineroar break trough Air Slash and jump in the sky near Aerodactyl and deliver two powerful hit of his palms on him. The pokemon is send against the ground.

"Use Air Slash again!!" said Grant to his pokemon.

Aerodactyl get up and throw air blades at Incineroar.

"You can take them Incineroar!!" said Sunlight.

The pokemon let the air blades hit him.

"Now, Aerodactyl, use Dragon Claws!!" said Grant.

"Neat, he fall for it, said Sunlight. Incineroar, use Revenge!!!"

Incineroar wait for Aerodactyle to be close enough, then deliver a powerful punch who send the flying pokemon right back at the wall behind Grant.

"Now, Let's finish this with a Flamethrower!!!" said Sunlight.

The attack strike Aerodactyle and cause an explosion. When the smoke dissipated, Grant saw that his pokemon was still conscious. Sunset and Sunlight are both surprised. Grant is hesitating to use the Mega-Evolution, judging that Aerodactyl was already in pain and didn't want to suffer more. Aerodactyl try to get up and fly, but is too weak and fail. Sunlight judge that was time to deliver a last attack. Sunset understand that Grant could use the Mega-Evolution, but don't do it and was admiring that Grant was ready to lose the battle to protect Aerodactyl.

"Use Darkest Lariat!!!" said Sunlight

Incineroar grab Aerodactyl and make him swirling around him, then throw it away violently against the ground. The dust get away and Grant see that Aerodactyl was K.O.

"Aerodactyl is not able to fight anymore!! said the referee. The final Victory goes to the challenger Sunlight Blaze and his Incineroar!!"

Grant apologize to Aerodactyl to let him took the attack, telling him that he wouldn't make him suffer more with the Mega-Evolution.

"I hope you understand..." he said.

Grant return his Aerodactyl in his pokeball and walk to Sunlight.

"Congratulation, he said. You defeated me, and earn the Cliff Badge."

Grant give the badge to him and both shake their hands. Sunlight decide to head at the Pokemon Center. Before Sunset follow him, she stay a moment with Grant.

"I know that before Sunlight deliver the final blow, you could have use the Mega-Evolution, said Sunset. Why you didn't?"

"Yes, i do, he said. If i was saying that, this is because we both want to compete at the Pokemon League. That make us rivals... And two rivals can't be together on an adventure, they need to go on their own sides"

Sunset was in a mix of anger and sadness right now. He was right in one way, that her dependence to him, her need to be with him was a problem. Without any of her friends, staying alone in this world was terrifying.

"Stop lying, said Sunset. Admit it, you prefer the action and the adventure over me!! Why?"

That phrase was like a low blow for Sunlight.

"I sure love action and always dreamed living adventures, he said. An adventure like that is the chance of a life, and that will probably be the only one i could live. I also love you, Sunset, i care for you and you are as important in my heart...."

Sunlight was silent and hesitating. He was fearing that if they go on this journey together, some tensions will blow between them. But he also want to be with her too, because she needed him. Sunset remove her face from his face but still look at him suspiciously.

"I am sorry, she said. This is just because you are so stubborn habitually..."

"I am just trying a new method of communication, he said. I have to act differently and accept to follow the choice of another. I am just hoping that you won't make me regret it."

"You can be sure i won't!! said Sunset. I already imagine all the things we will do together on our journey!!"

Sunlight suddenly have some doubts about the meaning of that. He can avoid thinking about her exploiting him to do her chores, using him as an human shield or worst, and that was scaring him. On her side, Sunset was smiling, thinking about Sunlight cooking for her, protecting her the night and the day, cuddling her when she was sad, laugh together at bad jokes and other silly things she wanted to do with her brother.

“Don’t play the culpability card with me, said Sunlight. I will do a lot of thing for you, you know it. But there is a lot of thing you can do and don’t need me for doing them. I hope you understand.”

Sunset enter in her tent and prepare her sleeping bag. Mew, get out of her bag and help her. She strip off her vest, jeans and T-shirt to put a cozy pajama. On his side, Sunlight removed his costume/armor/suit, to sleep shirtless. Revealing his workout routine. Then he fall quickly asleep, but Sunset don’t and was still awake, laying in her sleeping bag.

“How many days i will hold in this world? She thought. I maybe should have continue my way alone. If only the guy i am trapped with was not my brother. When you finally have the cutest and most perfect guy enter in your life but it fall to be your long lost brother, ugh, Why is the life so unfair!!! If we got back home, i promise to myself to find a love interest.”

The next day, Sunlight woke up first and the first thing he does is to put his suit on. Then, he pack his sleeping bag and head to the campfire to start preparing the breakfast. Mew get out of Sunset’s tent and land on Sunlight’s head. Sunlight take a little moment to cuddle him. Then he prepare the meals of his pokemons.

“Can you wake up Sunset? The breakfast will be served soon! He said.

Mew teleport Sunset in front of Sunlight and laugh. Sunset fall on the ground and woke up.

“What, where am i?” she said, drowsy.

“I prepared the breakfast, he said. You should eat before Mew gobble up everything”

“Hum, you made pancakes, she said. I love pancakes. You are the best.”

She take 4 of them.

“I am sorry for yesterday night, she said. You were not forced to travel with me and my attitude was not cool.”

“That’s fine, he said. I can be mad at you, not for long. Beside, that will be the last meal i will prepare for you”

Sunset spill out her food.

The 5 criminals look at each other and decide to attack. They send their pokemons who were Garbordor. Croagunk, Muk, Tentacruel and Ariados.

“You are kidding right? Said their leader. We are the Toxic Terror, we won’t let random trainers arrest us...Ariados, use Sticky Web!!”

“Use Flamethrower, Ninetails, said Sunlight. Burn that web and his pokemon!!”

The flame burn the web and hit Ariados, who faint. The other members of the group pass to the attack.

“Gallade, said Sunset, Use Psycho cut on all of them!!”

Each of Sunlight’s pokemons throw their attacks on the bad guys pokemons which put them K.O.

“What, no!! This is impossible!! Said the chief of the gang. Let’s retreat!!”

“Oh, Heck no!! Said Sunset. Mew, please teleport them in this police office i saw at Lumiose City!”

Mew obey and teleport the 5 criminals in the middle of the police office, where they are arrested quickly. Then, A message appear after, which was saying: «These pieces of trash were in our way, so me and my friend picked up the garbage for you, Hope you enjoy the gift!!». But back at Sunset and Sunlight, they have returned their pokemons in their pokeballs and were about to leave.

“Hey, thank you!! Said the young boy. You two saved me!! Who are you? You look pretty strong!!”

“This is nothing, said Sunlight. We are just humble trainers who have the justice at heart.”

“Cool!! You are some kind of heroes? He asked. Awesome!! I want to be like you two, when i will be older!!”

The kid see Mew floating above Sunset’s head.

“Wow, is this Mew? Asked the young boy. My mother said that the rare peoples who have the chance to see him one day are incredibly lucky!! And today, i can see him!!”

Mew come close of the boy and land on his head, making him laugh.

The boy gave to Sunlight an egg he was hiding in his bag.

“I pick that egg from their lair, said the boy. These guys are criminals who stole pokemons and eggs who have potential and then sold them to evil organizations. I didn’t want this egg to serve as a weapon to destroy, so, i give it to you. I know in your hands, it will be in security.”

Then he give to Sunset a strange shiny crystal with a symbol on it.

“I don’t know what does that thing, said the boy, but the guy who gave it to me told me it had a connection with Mew.”

Cinder 2.0 (the Motisma-Dex) suddenly show up and analyze the crystal.

“No way!!! Said the talking pokedex. This is a Z-crystal!! And not any Z-crystal, this thing is a Mewnium Z!! This crystal, if put on a Z-Bracelet, can change Mew’s Psychic in a special Z-Move called Genesis Supernova!!”

“Really? Said Sunlight. Very nice...Not only she can already use the Mega-Evolution, but she also now got A Z-crystal made specially for Mew? You must be kidding me...”

Gallade stare at Sunlight and say something to him in pokemon language.

“Gallade said: «Don’t underestimate me, stupid human», said the Pokedex. And then Incineroar said: «Don’t call my Master a stupid human, you goofy looking clown»”

“If they are so rare, that must mean they have more power than the other who are normal” said Sunset.

“Not at all, said Cinder 2.0. Shiny pokemons are not more powerful, but their rarity is so high that they worth hundreds of millions on the Black Market. Having one with you is sure to make you very popular and draw a lot of attention from collectors”

“Take this, Sunset, said Sunlight. You may have a Legendary Pokemon, can use Mega and have a special crystal for Mew, but i have a Shiny pokemon!! And if i am right, Charmander evolve into Charmeleon and then into a Charizard, right?”

“Mew” said the pokemon, laughing.

“Mew said he took some of your gold to buy it, answered Motisma. He also had the idea of taking a bottle with it.”

“Hum, this food is liquid, said Sunset. Sure, Why don’t give him milk instead?”

“Charminder is a Fire type, said Motisma. And like most of the Fire types, he don’t love water and water based liquids.”

“Hum, so what did they drink?” asked Sunset.

“Tamato berry mash, answered Cinder 2.0. Or, basically any spicy berries.”

Sunlight take the bottle and fill it with the spicy berry juice, then give it to Charmander. The baby suck at the bottle and drink all of the liquid. That give him enough energy to stand on his legs.

“Look like this Tamato Berry juice have make its effect, said Motisma. Soon, your Charmander will be able to eat solid food, due to the fact their teeth grow fast.”

“How long?” asked Sunlight.

“Around 1 week, answered his Pokedex. But fortunately for you, that juice you gave him will be enough to make him last one day. This thing is very concentrated, you know...”

Sunlight take the Charmander in his arm.

“Let me present you to my friends” said Sunlight.

He send out all of his pokemons, Sunset do the same with hers.

“Charminder, i present you Incineroar, Houndoom, Delphox and Ninetails, he said. And you, i present the new member of the family, Charminder.”

The first contact happened to be fine. Sunlight’s team quickly accept the newcomer in their team. Then, Sunset present herself to him.

“Hi, Charmander, she said. My name is Sunset Shimmer and i am the sister of your father. Wait, that make me an aunt, no? Whatever, i am glad to meet you.”

She touch his head and pet him. The baby pokemon seem to love it and hold her hand with his tiny paws.

“He is so cute, she said. Now, meet my team. Gallade, Abra, Kirlia and Mew.”

Abra and Mew get along with the baby quickly, Kirlia have more difficulty, but also get along with him. Gallade, him, stay silent and at good distance but make a head sign to Charmander, like if that was his way to greet him. Sunlight then ask Motisma if i can catch it now, and this one tell him that yes, i could. So, Sunlight present a pokeball to the baby and explain to him that in this way, they will never get separated. Charminder accept and touch the pokeball, who absorb him inside. After 3 or 4 movement, it stop and make a little cling.

“Good, he said. Now that this is done, let’s continue to walk.”

Him and Sunset begin to walk again, getting closer and closer from their next objective. But away from them, at the top of a tree, The same pokemon that was looking on Sunset sooner, was actually spying them. He heard everything from their discussion.

”Good, now, i have the certitude that they are not from this world, said the mysterious pokemon. But i need more information and for that, i will continue to spy on them.”

Then, the mysterious entity disappear like a shadow.

Sunlight and Sunset were arrived for a few minutes at Shalour City. The first thing they did when they entered in the town was first, to heal their pokemons. When this is done, Sunlight tell his sister that he will be making some courses, and Sunset, her, decide to wait until her pokemons were healed. While Sunlight was walking in the town, he stop suddenly at a shop and enter in. He is welcomed by a nice woman who greet him cordially.

“Welcome to my shop, she said. My specialty is jewelry, what bring you here today, young man?”

“Hum, i have this Keystone and this Mega-gem, i want to personalize them.” he answered.

“Hum, i think i can do that, she said. First, let’s begin with your Keystone. Do you know in which accessory you want it?”

“Yes, i would love to inlay the Keystone on my mask, right above the two eyes spots, he answered. Can you do that?”

“This is easy, she said. And for your Mega-gem?”

“I want this one on a bracelet.” he answered.

“That will take me a few hours in order to finish to personalize your gems, she said. So, come back a little bit later...”

“For payment, asked Sunlight. Do you accept gold?”

“Hum, pure gold?” she asked.

“The purest you can find, said Sunlight. Look at one of these gold doubloons, i offer you 20 for the three”

The woman is captivated by the gold coins and smile. She analyze them to see if they were pure.

“This is premium quality gold, she said to him. That will be enough...”

“Alright, then, he said. I will come back later in the afternoon!!”

Sunlight leave the shop and head in direction of the Pokemon Center. He wait a few hours with Sunset and then, the nurse Joy give them back their pokemons.

“That took 2 hours, said Sunset, but now, we are ready to challenge Korrina. The question is, who is going to challenge her first?”

“You will, said Sunlight, i have other stuff to do, just say to her that she will have another challenger after you coming for her.”

“Where are you going?” she asked.

“Oh, make some shopping, he said. I’ll see you after your match, good luck!!”

Sunlight walk away from the Pokemon Center while Sunset was heading in direction of the Gym Leader’s arena. But the problem was that the arena was on a little island near to the city. She don’t wait and use her teleportation to pass on the other side easily. But then, she is welcomed by a young woman with a sport suit and rollerblades.

“Hey, you!! She said to Sunset. You are not supposed to be here before the sunset!! How did you get here, anyway?!”

“Well, i heard your arena was at that place, right?” asked Sunset.

“Yes and no, she answered. This place is effectively an arena, but...”

She see at the neck of Sunset a Keystone.

”A Keystone? She thought, Does that mean she can use Mega-Evolution too?”

“So, if i can only came here at the sunset, said Sunset, then i will come back later...”

“No!! That will be fine this time, answered the woman. My name is Korrina, i am the Gym Leader of this town!”

“Oh, you are the Gym Leader! Said Sunset. Nice to meet you, my name is Sunset Shimmer and i am here to challenge you for the Rumble Badge!”

“Oh, alright then, said Korrina. Do you have a Pokemon who can Mega-evolve, by chance?”

“Oh, yes, answered Sunset. Why asking?”

“Cool, and who is that pokemon?” asked Korrina

“Hum, a Gallade, said Sunset” sending out her Gallade.

“Gallade is partially a Fighting type, said the Gym Leader, like my Lucario. I feel like this battle gonna be great!!”

Korrina bring Sunset in her personal arena.

“Habitually, she said, i make 3 vs 3 battle. But this time, that will be different. One vs one, your Mega-Gallade Vs my Mega-Lucario, are you alright with that?”

“Sure, answered Sunset. This is good for me!!”

Then, the referee announce the rules of the battle and after a countdown, he gave the signal. Korrina send out her trusty Lucario while Sunset send out her fearless Gallade. The 2 pokemons stare at each other with a smile.

“Alright, don’t hold back, Sunset, said the Gym Leader. Because i won’t hold back either. Connect your heart and mind with mine and make one!! Lucario, Mega-Evolve!!!”

Her pokemon start to transform, wrapped by a rainbow light. Then, the symbol of the Mega-Evolution appear in front of him and Lucario reveal his Mega-form.

“My turn, now..., said Sunset. Gallade, listen to me, i need your force and you courage, let me make one with you!! Gallade, Mega-Evolve!!”

Gallade start to Mega-evolve and like with Lucario, he change of form and shine. After he finished to transform, he reveal his Mega-form.

“Wow, this is the first time i see a Mega Gallade of my eyes, said Korrina. My grandfather talked to me so much about how they were brave and powerful!! This is a worthy opponent for you Lucario, so give everything!!”

Lucario and Gallade stare at each other with ferocity.

“Alright, Gallade, said Sunset. Begin with Sword Dance!!”

“You too, Lucario, use Sword Dance!!”

The two pokemons start to charge their attack power. Meanwhile, on Sunlight side, he had make a few purchase in the different shops of the town. Then he head in direction of the Jewelry store to see if the woman had finished.

“Oh, i was waiting for a couple of minutes for you, she said. I am glad to announce you that i have finished crafting”

She gave him the Mask with the Keystone embed in it and the bracelet with the Charizardite on it. Sunlight thank her and go out of the shop.

“Well, now, let’s see if Sunset is done with her battle.”

In the arena, Mega-Gallade and Mega-Lucario are fighting brutally and aggressively. They were exchanging lot of blows and were moving fast.

“Gallade!! Said Sunset. Use Psycho Cut!!!”

“Avoid them, Lucario, and use Shadow Claws!!” said Korrina.

The fight continue in that way, both attacking and dodging at some moments. Korrina and Sunset began to feel tired and same for their Pokemons.

“Give everything on this attack, Lucario, Use Shadow Claws with all your power!!!”

“Gallade, do the same, said Sunset. Charge Brick Break with all your energy and strike Lucario!!”

Gallade and Lucario charge their attack and run at each other, in a flash, they are both hit by each other attacks and slide in direction of the trainers. Lucario stop in front of Sunset Shimmer and Gallade stop in front of Korrina. There is a long silence and the two pokemons were immobile. Then, suddenly, Lucario and Gallade return to their normal form and still standing. Then, finally, Lucario faint first and fall face on the ground, K.O, while Gallade was standing, exhausted, but conscious, in front of Korrina.

“Lucario fainted, said the referee. Sunset Shimmer and her Gallade won!! The victory come to the challenger!!”

Lucario get up on his leg and Korrina hug him.

“You were awesome, Lucario, she said. Good job!!”

Sunset also congratulate her pokemon for his performance. Then, Lucario and Gallade look at each other and make a bumpfist. Korrina shake Sunset’s hand and give her the Rumble Badge.

“Came back whenever you want, she said. Me and Lucario will be honored to fight you two again!! Goodbye!”

“Oh, i forgot to mention, Korrina, said Sunset. You will have another challenger soon, and he is pretty strong.”

“Cool, i’ll wait him!!” she answered.

Sunset leave the arena and disappear to the Pokemon Center. At the same time, Sunlight arrive in front of the shore.

“Wait, where is the bridge, he said to himself. How am i supposed to get on the other side?”

Then, the sun set down and a path magically appear in front of him.

“This place is fucked up, he thought. I am afraid all this water drown me while i am walking to the tower”

“What are you waiting for?! Asked Korrina to him. Go, this path won’t disappear until the sunrise!!!”

Sunlight decide to travel the path with precaution, afraid that all this water trap him and drown him. Slowly, Sunlight make it to the entrance of the tower.

“You must really hate the water, am i right?” she asked.

“I don’t hate it, he answered. I am afraid of it, i couldn’t think to anything else that this path disappear and drown me”

“Oh, i understand, she said. This is indeed scary for some people. Beside, i am Korrina, the Gym Leader of this city. And you must be my challenger...”

She also see on Sunlight’s mask a Keystone.

“Wow, you have also a Keystone? She asked. Can you also use Mega-Evolution?!”

“Not yet, answered Sunlight. I have a Houndoom with me, but i don’t have is Mega-Gem. Ironically, i have a Charizardite X but no Charizard yet.”

“Hum, You seem to love the Fire type, Do you?” she asked.

“A lot, he answered. I would had loved so much to challenge you with a Mega-Pokemon, but none of the two i have can do it yet. But even without Mega-Evolution, i can be able to win against you.”

“Hum, so follow me, she said. This battle will also be one against one, Do you know which pokemon you will use?”

“Yes, i do, said Sunlight. And he is pretty bulky”

“Bulky, hum, i also have one who is bulky too, answered Korrina.”

Once arrived in the arena, the two trainer take place on the field. The referee once again tell the rules of this battle and give the signal.

“Alright, i choose you, Machamp!!” said Korrina.

A four-arm muscular Pokemon appear on the field and pose.

“Time to shine, Incineroar!!!!” said Sunlight.

Incineraor appear also on the battlefield and roar.

“Wow, i never seen that Pokemon before!!! She said. His name is Incineroar, you said? He seem to be pretty strong, and that belt on him, it look like the one of Machamp. Does he is a champion too?”

“Hum, i heard that Incineroars are professional of wrestling, answered Sunlight. They are heavy hitters and ferocious fighters. I am sure he is a match for a Machamp.”

“Alright, then, said the Gym Leader. Machamp, use Cross Chop!!!”

Machamp run in direction of Incineroar, who wait for him.

“Use counter!! Said Sunlight!!”

Incineroar dodge the two blows and counter with a powerful kick in the guts. Machamp is send a few meters away.

“Ma..Champ!!” said the pokemon.

“Can you translate, Motisma?” asked Sunlight.

“Sure, he answered. Machamp just cursed.”

Incineroar laugh at Machamp.

“And now, Incineroar mock Machamp” said the Motisma-Dex.

“Machamp, use Cross Chop again!!” said Korrina

“Machamp obey and rush at Incineroar”

“Use Counter...” said Sunlight.

Incineroar take a defensive stance, ready to counter the attack. Korrina smile to Sunlight.

“You fall for it, she said. Machamp, use Low Sweep!!”

Machamp slide on the ground and kick Incineroar legs, making him fall on the ground.

“Don’t let him get up and use Vital Throw!!” she yelled.

Machamp grab Incineroar, make a few rotations and launch the pokemon away against a wall. Sunlight smile and that was worrying Korrina.

“Finish him with a Cross Chop, Machamp!!” said Korrina.

Machamp charge in direction of Incineroar. Sunlight smile at the Gym Leader.

“Incineroar, he said. Use Revenge!!!”

“What? Said Korrina. Oh no!!”

Incineroar take the hit of Machamp and survive it, then, full of power, strike back with Revenge. The power of the counter move send Machamp flying at the other side of the arena, putting him K.O. Korrina is astonished and silent.

“Machamp is K.O!!! Said the referee, the victory goes to our challenger, Sunlight Blaze, and his Incineroar!!!”

Incineroar fall on the ground, exhausted by the fight. Sunlight smile at him and Incineroar do the same.

“You got this like a pro, he said. You can rest now.”

Korrina bring back her Machamp and walk in direction of Sunlight.

“I have to admit, i was not expecting Incineroar to use Revenge” she said.

“I was prepared, he answered. I knew your pokemons would use Fighting type attacks, and being a Dark/Fire Type, Incineroar would have been disadvantaged. So, i taugh him Revenge, which is an attack that gain more power if the user is hit before he throw it.”

“You know, said Korrina, i never thought of using a defensive strategy in a battle. But after this match, i begin to think that using counter moves are a very good idea.”

“I am glad if i inspired you, said Sunlight. To be honest, i could have use offensive in this fight, but i didn’t. I wanted to use a different strategy and that worked.”

“Well, there is the Rumble Badge, said Korrina. You deserved it. I hope i will have the chance to see you again!!”

“Next time we fight, said Sunlight. I will have a Mega-Pokemon waiting for you!”

“Really?! I can’t wait to see it!!” she yelled.

Sunlight go to the Pokemon Center and see Sunset waiting.

“Hi, Sunset, he said. Guess who won his third badge?!”

He show the Rumble badge, and so does Sunset, with a smile. Sunset told him how she defeated her in a ferocious fight between Mega-Gallade and Mega-Lucario. Sunlight, him, told the incredible fight between her Machamp and his Incineroar and how he beat the crap out of him.

“You know, that was just an idea, said Sunset. When i told you you can use more defensive techniques for your next battles, that was just a random thought. I didn’t expect you to actually do that!”

“I could have used offensive and still pull out a win against her, he said. But i realized you were right about the utility of a defensive strategy. I am actually glad it work very well for me.”

Sunset and him still side by side, sit on a cozy couch, waiting for their pokemons to be healed. They look at each other and smile.

Sunlight Blaze and his sister, Sunset Shimmer, had left Shallour and were heading in direction of the next arena situated at Courmaline City. The Gym Leader being a Grass type user, Sunlight knew that would be easy for him and couldn’t wait to obtain his fourth badge. But while they walk, Sunset is thinking about who she was going to use. She ask Sunlight if her Kirlia and Abra could train with his pokemons, which should help them evolving, but Sunlight refuse.

“I am sorry, Sunset, he said. I can’t allow you to use my pokemons to grind your...”

“And why?” she asked.

“Simply because that would count as a shortcut, he said. Some people have a term for that and that term is «Cheating»”

“Arrgh!!! You can be so bothering, sometimes!!” she said.

“I do that for your good, he said. The hard way is the only way someone can grow stronger.”

“You are one to talk, Sunlight, said Sunset. You never known the hard way, you had a so perfect life and childhood. I am the one who learned life the hard way.”

“So, why do you want to use the easy way, now?” asked her brother.

“Because i thought that would be nice to use another way, she answered. Have you rushed to got something in your whole life only once? I don’t think you have. But me, in order to have the attention of my adoptive parents, i had to beg them and got excellent grades!!”

Then, i learned they defeated Discord, and Chrysalis when she attacked Canterlot. Their heroism inspired me to become a hero, with my gift in magic, i knew i could be like them one day. But what really gave me a new sense in my life was their Friendship. I knew that i needed friends more than ever.”

“I didn’t know that, she said. I mean, the fact you were so sad despite the quality of life you had. I am sorry...”

“Since that day, said Sunlight, i never stopped to believe in the power of Friendship and the flame in my soul never faded”

“Once again, that make us a thing in common, she said. We both lived the darkest moments of our lives but Friendship had been for both of us the thing that changed our life.”

“Except that me, i didn’t tyrannized a school” said Sunlight, smiling.

“Yeah, i regret that part of my life a lot, she said. But i want to know what were your projects if you ran away from your parents and life?”

“I would probably had embraced the darkness, he said. Then, maybe forcing other to be my friends and burn them to death if they refused. Yeah, i could probably became a tyrant myself...”

They stay silent and look at each other with compassion.

“Can i told you something?” asked Sunset.

“Anything, he answered. I am here to listen”

“Well, you know, we had been best friends and very close during our time at the School of Magic, she said. And i will admit that i had a crush on you, For defense, i didn’t knew yet you were my brother and now that i think about it today, i feel so ashamed.”

“Or in the contrary, said Sunset, it could gave them idea for some fanart or something like that.”

“Whatever, said Sunlight, none of us have feeling for each other and this is good that way”

“You said it, Bro, she answered. Well, when are we gonna arrive at the next arena?”

“If we keep that speed, i would say that tomorrow” we will get here, answered Sunlight.

While they are walking, Sunset find by chance some trainers who wanted to fight. Of course, battling with an Abra and a Kirlia was not so simple but she managed after defeating 8 weak trainers in a row to make Abra evolve into Kadabra and Kirlia finally evolved into Gardevoir. Then, her and Sunlight decide to begin to built their camp because the night was coming.

“Hum, now, i need to catch 3 more pokemons before the Pokemon League” she said.

“You mean 2, said Sunlight. You forgot you have Mew”

“I am not sure, said Sunset. I know Mew is powerful and could wipe out most of the competition by himself, but i don’t want him to be exposed to the public. You imagine if some criminals or bad people in the stadium see him, then try to kill us to get their hand on him?”

“Yeah, you are right on that point, said Sunlight. But they can try, we are not so easy to take down. Beside, i also have to capture one last pokemon for the league and i know who i want.”

He show Sunset the image of a pokemon on his Motisma-Dex.

“You are kidding, right? She said. You really have the intention to bring a Legendary in the League?”

“Of course, i am, he answered. Moltress will be the perfect addition to my team and luckily, he live in this region. When i will got my last badge, i will try to capture him.”

Sunset was also searching on her Pokedex about Psychic Type living in the region. She don’t tell anything to Sunlight and after 10 minutes searching, she close her Pokedex and put it in her bag. Sunset and Sunlight begin to built their camp for the night. Beginning with the tents, then the meal for their Pokemons and last, preparing the meal for both of them.

“You will cook this time, said Sunlight. You will choose what you want to do for us.”

“Hum, i would love some seafood, but i am tempted by something meaty” she answered.

“Seafood, asked Sunlight? No problem, we will fish then. I heard that the flesh of some aquatic pokemons is delicious and taste like heaven.”

“Wait, you want us to eat...Pokemons? She asked. This is barbaric!!”

“Meh, In your world, people kill animals to eat, right? He asked. Fish, beef, chicken, shrimps, liver and every meat based product, i know they came from living animals. And in this world, Pokemons seem to be for them what is for us animals. Pokemons are just the equivalent of the animals of our world, at the difference these ones have magic power.”

“Is that true, Motisma?” asked Sunset.

“This is hard to admit but yes, Humans of this world eat some species of pokemons” he answered.

“Alright, then, let’s fish!!” said Sunset.

“With what? Asked Sunlight. We don’t have fishing rods...”

“Who told you that we need one?” she answered.

She send out Kadabra and Gardevoir and told them to use their psychics powers to teleport fishes on the land. After 20 minutes doing this, Sunset found two big fleshy and bulky Basculins, species reputed for the quality of their meat. Then, she bring it back to the campfire and Sunlight order to Ninetails and Houndoom to broil them with the heat of their flamethrower. After only 2 minutes, the two Basculins were perfectly fried and the duo eat. Sunlight give some pieces to his pokemons, who appreciated the gest. Sunset also propose to her Pokemons roasted Basculin. Gallade accept it with pleasure, but Gardevoir and Kadabra were not interested. After they finished their meal, they are going to bed with a full belly. The next day, Sunset make for her a bowl of cereal and Sunlight too.

“How was the night, she asked to him. Did you sleep well?”

“Sorta, he answered. That Basculin was very hard for me to digest and it took me some times to be able to sleep. What about you?”

“I sleep very well, she said. I made such beautiful dreams...”

They finish their breakfast, extinguish the fire and disassemble their tents. Then, they start to walk in direction of their next destination. After a few minutes only, the duo is interrupted by a duo of trainers who propose them a multi-battle 2 against 2.

“We were bored and challenge other trainers is the only thing we could think off, this is fun and that serve for us as a training” said one of the two opponents

“Each of us can use 1 pokemon and the fight end when the 2 pokemon of one of our teams are K.O, said the other opponent. Beside, my name is Aurelia and the guy beside me is my boyfriend, Matt.”

“I am Sunset Shimmer, said Sunset. And my partner next to me is my brother, Sunlight Blaze.”

“We will talk later, said Sunlight. Now, Let’s just battle!!”

“Pyroar, said Aurelia, i choose you!!”

“And because we are a couple, i choose also you, Pyroar!!”

Two lion-like creatures appear in front of them, they each had different manes.

“Oh, allow me to explain, said Matt, My Pyroar, the one with the biggest mane, is a male, and the one that my fiancée have is a female, this is why her mane is less bigger.”

“That is interesting, said Sunlight. I didn’t knew that, but allow me to introduce you my first Pokemon, Go, Houndoom!!”

“I also have a pokemon to present to you, said Sunset. Go, Kadabra!!”

The Houndoom and the Kadabra are intimidated by the male Pyroar. Matt is the first to attack and order his pokemon to use Hyper Voice. Then his girlfriend told to her Pyroar to use Noble Roar at the same time. The combination of the two attack send Houndoom and Kadabra away.

“Kadabra, said Sunset, use Disable on both of the Pyroar!!”

Kadabra focus is mind and look at the Pyroars, he use then his mind abilities to make the two pokemons forget the move they recently used.

“Now, you can’t use this combination again” she said.

Then, she send to Sunlight a telepathic message

“Sunlight, she said. Have you a plan to beat them?”

”Sure i have one, he answered, but i will need that your Kadabra cover Houndoom for it to work?”

”Fine, what do i need to do?” she asked.

”You will know it soon” he answered

“That was a clever move for a Psychic type pokemon to use, said Aurelia. But me and my boyfriend are not done yet”

“Houndoom, use Nasty Plot!!, he said, and then, Hone Claws!!!”

Houndoom begin to focus with the intention of raising his power.

“Oh no, said Matt, if you think we will let your pokemon boost his power, you wish!!! Pyroar, prepare to use Hyper Beam!!!”

“You too, Pyroar, said Aurelia”

“Damn it, said Sunlight. They will strike before Houndoom will be ready!”

“Kadabra, use Kinesis!!” said Sunset.

The pokemon start to distract the Pyroars by doing psychic tricks with his spoon. The two Pokemons throw their beam at the Psychic pokemon who avoid them with a quick Teleport. This diversion let to Houndoom enough time to finish empowering himself.

“Now, let’s finish this, said Sunlight. Houndoom, use Inferno!!!”

Houndoom howl and spit out of his mouth a ultra powerful blast of fire which turn into a giant fireball which hit the two pokemons and explode.

“That should have weakened your pokemons a lot, Now, Houndoom, use Crunch on the Male Pyroar!!!”

Houndoom jump in direction of the male pokemon and create giant magic fangs who hit Pyroar, creating a blast. The male Pyroar fall on the ground, K.O.

“Pyroar!!! Said Matt. This is on your shoulders, Honey!!”

“And now, Houndoom, use Crunch on the other Pyroar!!”

“Not so fast, said Aurelia, Pyroar, use Attract!!”

The female pokemon create magic hearts that touch Houndoom and make him infatuated.

“You didn’t see that coming!! She said. You should have known that as a couple, both of our Pyroars where knowing attract!”

“Crap, said Sunlight. I guess you will have to finish this battle alone, Sis”

“I got this!! She said. Kadabra, use Disable on her!!”

Kadabra use his magic to make Pyroar forget about the move Attract.

“You won’t be able to use it again, she said. Now, Kadabra, finish her with Psychic!!!”

The pokemon immobilize the female Pyroar with his Psychic powers and throw her on the ground repetitively until she fall K.O.

“No, not you too, Pyroar!!” said Aurelia.

“And we won!! Said Sunset. Your two pokemons are K.O!!”

“Congratulation, said Matt, i thought me and my girlfriend were the best in a double battle...”

“...But after this battle against you two, continued Aurelia, I guess we still have a lot to learn. I hope we will have the occasion to battle with you again”

The couple say goodbye to the two siblings and walk away. Sunlight look at Sunset who was smiling to him.

“Good job covering me, Sis...” he said to her, with a thumb up.

Sunset blush of the compliment and feel suddenly proud of her. For the first time, she actually protected her brother, which she never did before. Sunlight turn his head and smile, happy that his first attempt to increase her confidence work perfectly.

“We are not that far of Courmaline, he said. If we stop talking and start to walk again, we will arrive in less than an hour!”

“Right, she said. I can’t wait to get my next Badge!!”

And the two best friends/siblings, walk again in direction of Courmaline City.

Before you ask if Pokemons are eaten by humans, Yes, they obviously are. I know the anime and the games don't show it directly, but we also have to know they are mostly destined for young audiences. If Pokemon was a franchise make for an older audience, like in the Japanese Pokemon Mangas, where we can see Pokemons and humans die (Trust me, i read a lot of them and some contain serious gory stuff that could make you sick if you can't stand blood, death and violence), i would not be surprised to learn that humans eat Pokemons. To resume, If the pokemon world was for adults, it would look like our society, Where animals are eaten by other animals and humans and where death is present everywhere for anyone.

Sunset Shimmer and Sunlight Blaze were arrived in Courmaline. The first thing they did was to go to the local Pokemon Center, then, Sunlight make the turn of the stores to see if they sold something interesting. Sunset, her, was actually thinking about a strategy for the battle.

“This city don’t have any interesting shops,” said Sunlight walking in the streets.

He find a market selling fresh seafood, vegetables, bread and fruits. And not so far of it, a stand selling medicinal herbs.

”Hum, the market seem interesting though, he said. I will make a few courses here”

Sunlight buy a good quantity of vegetables and fruits, then buy a lot of medicinal herbs. When he had finished, he head in direction of the Arena to defy the Gym Leader.

”I clearly have the advantage in this arena, he said. But i have to stay on my guards, Grass types pokemon can learn a lot of move super effective on the Fire types.”

Sunlight enter in the arena and his surprised by all the vines and vegetation in it.

“Sweet Celestia, he said. Is this an arena or a garden?”

“This place is both an arena and a garden, said a voice. I am on your right.”

Sunlight turn his head and see an old man.

“Who are you? He asked. The gardener? Do you know where is the Gym Leader?”

“He he, you will find him on the top of this big climbing wall, said the old man. To get here, you will have to climb all these vines.”

“This is like when i fought Grant, said Sunlight. Well, that will be easy!”

“Ah, the young people and their confidence, said the man. I hope it won’t make you too cocky and arrogant one day.”

“I know where the line between arrogance and confidence is, he answered. I am not blinded by it.”

Sunlight begin to climb on the vines and walls with ease, but precaution. After 15 minutes, he arrive on the top of the obstacle and see the battle arena, where the referee was present.

“Alright, said Sunlight. Let’s see who is the Gym Leader.”

The same old man he saw sooner appear and walk in direction of the arena.

“Hum? You are the Gym Leader? He asked. I was not expecting that”

“He he, don’t judge a flower by his appearance, said the old man. The most beautiful flower can be sometime deadly and dangerous. Beside, my name is Ramos”

“Nice to meet you, Mr. Ramos, said Sunlight. I will prevent you that i won’t go easy on you”

“I love hearing that” said Ramos.

The referee explain that the rules: Each trainer will use 3 pokemons and the fight will be over when all the pokemons of one of the trainers will be K.O. Then, he give the start signal.

“Show me your power, said Ramos, I choose you, Meganium!!!”

“Hum, well, in that case, i send you, Ninetails!!!” said Sunlight.

“Hum, a fire type? Asked Ramos. Well, that will sure make thing difficult for me...He he...Meganium, use Leaf Storm!!!”

“Counter it with a Flamethrower!!” said Sunlight

The flames collide with the leafs and create an explosion.

“Now, Use Sunny Day!!!” said Sunlight.

Ninetails growl and cause a rise of temperature followed by an intense light.

“Yes, Sunny Day increase the power of Fire type moves, said Ramos. But it also make Grass type pokemons stronger.”

“Ninetails, use Flamethrower!!!” said Sunlight.

“Use Protect, Meganium!!” yelled Ramos.

The flames crash against the magic barrier without causing any damages.

“Good reflexes, said Sunlight, but your pokemon won’t be able to reuse it right now!! Ninetails, use Flamethrower again!!!”

“Meganium, use Light Screen!!!” said Ramos

A magic barrier appear around Meganium and reduce greatly the power of Flamethrower when it hit him.

“Light Screen will reduce from 50% the power of your specials capacities” said Ramos.

“That won’t change the issue of the battle, said Sunlight, another Flamethrower and your pokemon is K.O.”

“You think? Said Ramos. He he he, Meganium, use Photosynthesis!!”

Meganium shine and the injuries on his body disappear.

“You see, my dear, said Ramos, Photosynthesis efficiency depend of the weather and the time of the day. During the day, it will restore half of the energy of the Pokemon using it. But there is more, if Sunny Day effects are present on the field, Photosynthesis efficiency is doubled.”

“So, what you say is that your pokemon will recover all his energy and health each time it will use Photosynthesis? Asked Sunlight. You are using the move Sunny Day to your advantage, i was really not expecting that.”

“And even when it’s effect will fade away, said Ramos. My Meganium still have Protect, Light Screen and Recover to counter your fire attacks. If you can pass through that strategy, then you maybe have a chance in the Pokemon League...”

”He is right, thought Sunlight, doubting for the first time in his life. His strategy is flawless, Photosynthesis to restore from 50% to 100% of Meganium’s health for sure each time he use it. Plus, his Light Screen reduce the damages i inflict to his pokemon, but if that was not enough, he can also use Protect to block my attacks and when he will need to recharge, he can still attack my Pokemon with Leaf Storm, then use Photosynthesis again, and then Protect...How can i pass trough that?”

Sunlight, for the first time of his life, feel desperate and a sentiment of fear begin to make him doubt about his capacities. Suddenly, he feel something taking possession of his mind with such power that he can’t resist for long. Under the control of the thing possessing him, he return Ninetails in his Pokeball and send out Incineroar. Then, the same force that was possessing him also do the same with Incineroar, but instead of controlling his body, he modify his memory to make him learn a new Move for this battle. The being finally disappear from their mind, after telling Sunlight to use Taunt If he want to win. Sunlight don’t ask questions and decide to follow the advice.

“Incineroar, use Taunt!!” he said.

”Taunt? Though Ramos, Oh no!!”

Incineroar make a provocative pose while making fun of Meganium. That attitude enrage a lot the Grass type Pokemon.

”Alright, thought Sunlight, i used Taunt, so what is next?”

The voice reappear in his head.

“Taunt is an attack that will prevent your opponent to use any status moves, he said. In simple terms, Meganium won’t be able to use Photosynthesis, Protect and Light Screen during the time Taunt will last. But in order for him to learn it I had to remove one of his move. Which move? You will discover it by yourself..He he he...”

The voice then disappear again. Sunlight focus back on the fight with a new flame, fueled by determination and hope.

“Take that, Ramos!! Said Sunlight. Now, your Meganium have no choice but to use Leaf Storm!!”

“Hum, that was a smart move, i admit, said the Gym Leader. Form hopelessness come the light of ingenuity”

“You know what to do, Incineroar, said Sunlight. Use Flamethrower!!!”

Flames comes out of Incineroar’s belt and hit the Meganium, who couldn’t use Protect. When the flames disappear, Meganium was K.O.

“Meganium is K.O!! Said the referee. Sunlight win the first battle!!!”

“Alright, go, Sceptile!! Said Ramos. I count on you!!”

The voice in his head reappear again and talk

“Use Delphox for this battle” said the voice

“If you say so, said Sunlight. Alright, come back, Incineroar!!”

He return the pokemon inside his pokeball and send Delphox instead.

”Use her psychic abilities to hinder his movements, said the voice. Sceptile is a full attacker, a glass cannon if you prefer. Use a defensive strategy against him...”

Sunlight look at Delphox and smile. Meanwhile, Sunset was still at the pokemon center, reading a magazine to pass the time.

”Well, maybe i should make some courses, she thought. I want to buy a couple of new outfits, Sunlight shouldn’t be the only one with a styled costume.”

She walk outside the center and head in direction of a shop where she could buy some interesting outfits. She don’t find any.

“Meh, i suppose i can wait until me and Sunlight return to Lumiose City to do it, she said. Hum, at least, i passed the time. Now, let’s see if Sunlight’s battle against the Gym Leader is over.”

She head in the direction of the Gym. Returning to Sunlight, he was fighting the last pokemon of Ramos, a Mega-Venusaur, who was so powerful that he defeated Ninetails, Incineroar and Delphox. His last pokemon, Houndoom, was actually fighting Mega-Venusaur. Both Pokemons were exhausted and hurt, and their trainer were staring at each other.

“Grrr, his Venusaur is a tank, thought Sunlight. The only hope i have is to hit him with a Inferno, but this attack is easy to dodge. The best thing to do is to power up Houndoom with Hone Claws and then Nasty Plot. But that will take some times and if my pokemon take another hit, this is over for him.”

“The Ability of Venusaur is Thick Fat, said the voice. Which considerably halves the damages of Fire and Ice type attacks. If you had a powerful Psychic or Flying type move, you could be able to take him down quickly.”

“My Houndoom don’t have these type of attacks, he said to the voice. Houndoom may be fast, but that Venusaur accuracy is deadly. I have Charmander left, but he have no chance against this monster!!”

”I have to finish his Houndoom quickly, thought. Ramos. If he can place his Inferno, he will have the high hand on Venusaur”

“No, i refuse to give up!! Said Sunlight. Houndoom, i know you want this victory as much as i want. But...”

The voice talking to him tell him something. And then share it with Houndoom

The two look at each other, then look at Venusaur and run in his direction.

”You are sure that will work?” asked Sunlight to the voice.

“It will” said the mysterious voice

“Wait, what is he doing?! Said Ramos. Venusaur, don’t let him get near to you!!! Use Earthquake!!!”

Houndoom jump at the last minute to avoid the attack and get on the back of Venusaur. He begin to charge his power.

“Use Vine Whip, Venusaur, said Ramos, get him out of your back!!!”

Venusaur use his vines to grab Houndoom, but he his not able to get him out. The reason was because Houndoom had is claws solidly planted into the flesh of his enemy. Venusaur change of strategy and whip Houndoom, hoping to put him K.O. But the pokemon resist.

”This is the moment!” said the voice

“Alright!!! Time to end this!!! Houndoom, use Inferno!!!” said Sunlight.

The pokemon unleash on Venusaur his attack, which literally cover the Grass type pokemon under a torrent of flames. Then, an explosion follow and smoke cover the whole arena. When the smoke was dissipated, Sunlight and Ramos see both Venusaur and Houndoom K.O.

“Double K.O!!” said the referee.

“Who won?!”asked Sunlight to him.

“Well, uh....” he tried to say.

“Hum, i forfeit...” said Ramos.

“What?!” said Sunlight.

“You earned this badge, Sunlight, he said. Your determination, courage and fighting spirit have convinced me. After all the efforts you have done, that would be stupid to not give it to you.”

Ramos give to Sunlight the Grass Badge. Then, he walk outside the arena. But he heard the voice who was talking to him during the battle in his head.

”Not bad, for a human.” said the deep voice.

“Who are you, exactly? Asked Sunlight. Are you a Pokemon?”

“Yes, i am a pokemon, said the voice. Who i am? You’ll have to wait for that, he he he...”

”Thank you for your help...” he said.

“Oh, i didn’t help you by kindness, said the voice. I did that because i was bored.”

“Hum, should i expect to hear your voice again?” he asked.

”Maybe yes, maybe not...” said the pokemon.

The voice disappear for good of Sunlight’s head. He walk outside and meet Sunset Shimmer. He show her his fourth badge with a smile.

“You won? She said. That was certainly easy with you Fire types...”

“No, he answered. That Gym Leader gave me a lot of trouble even if i had the type advantage. I almost lost, to be honest, i only earn my victory due to my opponent forfeiting on a draw...”

“You are kidding, right?” she asked.

“No, he is no joke, he answered. You’ll see when you will battle him.”

“I will challenge him when my pokemons will have recovered, she said. Speaking of, i have to take back mines at the Pokemon Center.”

Her and Sunlight return to the Pokemon Center, where Sunlight show his pokemons to Nurse Joy, and Sunset, who was standing next to him. Both are surprised by how badly injured his pokemons were. Sunset realize quickly that he was not lying about how hard his battle was and immediately begin to be worried.

“They are badly injured, said Nurse Joy, but i promise that they will be healed in a few hours. Beside, Miss Sunset, your Pokemons have fully recovered.”

She gave her the pokeballs containing her pokemons.

“Cool, now, you are ready to challenge Ramos, said Sunlight. And i will support you from the bleachers.”

Sunlight see on Sunset’s face that she was worried.

“What are you worried about, he asked. I see it in your eyes, What is wrong?”

“I am not so sure if i can win against him, she said. You had 4 pokemons with a type advantage and you almost lost.”

“You can use the Mega-Evolution, said Sunlight. If i had it, my battle would have been way easier. Beside, from what i learned of my battle against Ramos, i think you might just have what it take to win, trust me. If i had your team in battle, the victory would have been mine easily.”

“You think?” she asked.

“Sure, he answered. Now, let’s head to the Gym!!”

Sunset and Sunlight leave the Pokemon Center and walk in direction of the Gym. Meanwhile, they were observed by a being standing in the shadows, who reveal to be a Pokemon.

”Time to see how she will handle this trainer now, said the pokemon. I have the feeling that this battle will be entertaining to watch...He he he he he...”

The pokemon disappear immediately before someone spot him.

Sunset was face to Ramos, ready to take on him. Sunlight, him, was spectating, with on his sides Incineroar.

“The rules of this fight are the following, said the referee. 3 pokemons for each trainers. The battle end when the 3 pokemons of either the Challenger or the Gym leader are K.O. The battle will begin....Now!! Send your first pokemon!!!”

“Alright, Kadabra, said Sunset, I choose you!!”

“In that case, I choose you, Ludicolo!!!”

Sunlight was stumped to see that Ramos didn’t sent Meganium. Sunset, her, was also shook because the strategy she had planned was now useless.

“He he he, said Ramos. Did you think that i was going to use the same strategy twice in a row?”

“In that case, i guess i’ll have to improvise, she said. Alright, Kadabra, Use Psyko!!!”

Ludicolo is suddenly lift in the air and thrown violently on the ground.

“Ludicolo, use Rain Dance!!” Said Ramos.

Ludicolo get up and begin to dance, which make rain appear on the battlefield.

“Rain? Oh great, said Sunlight. Cinder, can you told me why Ludicolo used that move?”

“Hum, Ludicolo is a Plant/Water type pokemon. He have two potential abilities: The first, which he learn naturally, is called «Swift Swim», this ability raise the speed of a pokemon during rain. Another of the abilities this pokemon possess could be
«Rain Dish», which restore by a little amount of health the pokemon with this ability.”

Ramos look at Sunlight and his Motisma-Dex.

“Hum, if you want to know, my Ludicolo have the ability «Swift Swim», said Ramos. Now, use Teeter Dance!!”

Ludicolo dance again, but differently, after a little moment, Kadabra is confused.

“Kadabra!! Are you fine? Asked Sunset. What happen to you?!”

“Alright, Ludicolo, now, use Hydro Pump!!!” said Ramos

Ludicolo spit a huge blast of water from his mouth in direction of Kadabra.

“Kababra, use Teleport!!!” said Sunset.

Kadabra, confused, instead use Psychic, which have for effect to deflect the water blast in direction of Sunlight, (who dodge it, fortunately). Sunset look at Kababra, furious.

“Kadabra!! She yelled. Why did you do that!!? I told you to use Teleport!! Not Psychic!!”

“Sunset, said Sunlight. Can’t you see Kadabra is confused?!”

“Confused?” she said.

“Remember Teeter Dance? Said Ramos. My Ludicolo used this move to confuse Kadabra...”

“Stay focused Sunset!!!” said Sunlight to her.

Sunset try to calm down and breathe deeply, she suddenly feel a powerful psychic energy flowing trough her.

“Come back, Kadabra, said Sunset. I send you, Gardevoir!!!”

Gardevoir appear on the battlefield and stare at Ludicolo.

“Gardevoir, use Shadow Ball!!” said Sunset.

The pokemon throw a ball make of dark energy to Ludicolo, who can’t dodge it in time.

“What? Thought Ramos. Her Gardevoir can’t be faster than Ludicolo!! Except... If he possess «Swift Swim». Hum, i get it!! Gardevoir possess the ability «Trace». This ability allow the pokemon to copy the ability of another pokemon...Well played, Sunset Shimmer...”

“Gardevoir, use Attract!!” said Sunset.

Gardevoir seduce the Ludicolo by sending magic floating hearts at him. Sunlight hide a smile and Ramos lost his one.

“Ludicolo, said Ramos, use Metronome!!”

Ludicolo dance with his hands in front of him moving left to right.

“What is he doing?” asked Sunset.

“Stay on your guards, Sunset, yelled Sunlight. By using Metronome, Ludicolo’s next attack will be unpredictable!!!”

Ludicolo stop dancing and look at Gardevoir. He rush in her direction, head first.

“Oh, said Cinder 2.0, he is using Head Smash!!!”

Ludicolo hit Gardevoir violently, knocking her to the end of the field. Then, Ludicolo cry of pain and faint from the recoil.

“Double K.O!!” said the referee.

Each trainer return their pokemons in their ball and stare at each other.

“Alright, let’s pass to the next part, said Ramos. I send you, Leavanny!!”

“In that case, i send you, Kadabra!!” said Sunset.

“Leavanny, use Sunny Day!!!” said the Gym Leader.

“Really? Said Sunset. First, Rain Dance, and now, Sunny Day?”

“He he he, said Ramos, Leavanny have the ability «Chlorophyll», which boost the speed when Sunny Day is active”

“Oh, great, said Sunset. Please, Kabadra, tell me you have something super effective against a Grass Type?”

Kadabra close his eyes and analyze every single attack he can learn. Meanwhile, Leavanny attack with a powerful Bug Buzz who hurt Kababra Badly. She then use X-Scissors multiple times, But Kadabra, wanting to make up for his ridiculous performance against Ludicolo, hold on. Suddenly, he open the eyes, set his fists on fire and punch Leavanny multiple times. Then, Kadabra give her the final blow and put Leavanny K.O. Ramos is shocked. Kadabra look at Sunset and make a thumb-up before falling on the ground, exhausted.

“That was Fire Punch!! Said Sunlight. Guess you didn’t see that one coming, Ramos!!”

“And for the actual situation, said Cinder 2.0, Fire Punch’s power was higher due to Sunny Day, plus the fact Leavanny is very weak against the Fire type. That was a smart move from Kababra!!”

“Wow, really? Said Sunset to Kadabra. Good job, i am proud of you. You can rest now.”

Both trainer hold the ball containing their last Pokemon. Sunlight knew that Sunset was going to use Gallade and was sure that Ramos will use his Venusaur.

“I send you, Gallade!!” she said.

“This is your time to shine, Sceptile!!” said Ramos.

Sunlight is surprised by that move from the Gym Leader.

“Sceptile, Listen to the call of the wild, feel the energy of the dragons, said Ramos, revealing his Keystone. Mega-Evolve!!!”

Jungko start to Mega-evolve, at the total surprise of Sunlight. Then, his transformation end and reveal his Mega-form.

“Gallade, let’s do this!! Said Sunset. I count on you!! Mega-Evolve!!!”

Gallade turn into his mega-form in a few seconds.

“I see, said Ramos. That will be a fight against 2 mega-evolved pokemons then.”

“Gallade!! Use Sword Dance!!” said the young woman.

“Sceptile, use also Sword Dance!!!” said Ramos

The 2 pokemons pass a few seconds to charge their power, then pass to the attack!!

“Use X-Scissors!!” said the two trainers at the same time, to their pokemons

Both of their attacks clashes violently against each other and the 2 pokemons get knocked back.

“Use Night Slash, Gallade!!” said Sunset.

“Use Leaf Blade!!!” said Ramos.

This time, both of the attacks hit their target.

“Use Psycho Cut!!!” said Sunset.

“Strike back with Leaf Storm!!” said Ramos.

The two attacks clashes violently, but obviously, Leaf Storm is stronger and pass Psycho-Cut to hit Gallade. But the Psychic/Figthing type pokemon get up fast and counter with a powerful X-Scissors.

“You can do it, Sceptile, said Ramos. Use Leaf Blade!!!”

“Use X-Scissors once more, Gallade!!” said Sunset.

The battle was so intense that Sunlight even prepared a bucket of Pop-Corn a few minutes ago, that he was eating while watching. The battle continue for minutes, with each of the two pokemons delivering hits consecutively.

“Okay, time to end this battle, said Ramos, Jungko. Put all your energy and use Leaf Storm!!!”

“Gallade, Focus all your energy and make the most powerful Psycho Cut you can!!”

The 2 pokemons unleash their attacks and like the last time, both collide. Then, Psycho Cut break trough Leaf Storm and hit Sceptile. An explosion then happen. The smoke fade away and reveal Sceptile unconscious on the ground, returned to normal.

“Sceptile is K.O!! Said the referee. Sunset Shimmer is the winner!!!”

Sunlight take Sunset in his arm and congratulate her. She blush a little, surprised, and smile.

“You were awesome!! Said Sunlight. Not gonna lie, that battle was captivating!!”

Sunlight stop hugging Sunset and walk back to let Ramos give her the Grass Badge.

“Congratulation, young girl, he said. I’ve rarely seen female trainers with such talent and passion. That was a memorable battle, and this is with honor that i give you this badge, Sunset Shimmer”

Ramos give to her the Grass Badge, that she add to her collection. She then look at Sunlight with a proud face, and this one smile back to her.

“I hope that we will meet again, said the Gym Leader. Oh, and Sunlight, have this!!”

Ramos give to Sunlight Blaze a strange rock, surprisingly warm.

“Give this to you Ninetails, he said. This is an object called Heat Rock and it have for effect to make Sunny Day last longer when hold by the pokemon using this attack.”

“Thank you, Ramos, said Sunlight. I also hope to see you again!!”

Then, the two siblings leave the gym and head in direction of the Pokemon Center. Then, when the night come, they rent two rooms in an hostel. The next day, they meet each other at the exit of the town.
