Unknown POV
*Match strikes, light shows a hooded face*
“I still remember that fateful night like it was yesterday, but it was centuries ago.”
*lights a candle with the match, illuminating the room. And the mysterious figure begins writing*
"It all began after Discord's defeat, when not much of the once beautiful Kingdom of Equestria was left. And the two Alicorn sisters who bravely stood up against him, became the rulers from then on.
"Then one day, the younger sister, the Moon Princess, who was saddened by our daily struggles, went to her older sister, the Sun Princess, with the proposal to form a new colony. One where everypony can grow strong and happy, and even accelerate the rebuilding of the weakened Kingdom, making it stronger than ever before.
"*sighs in anger* But the Sun Princess, Princess Celestia, my aunt, forbade it. For she believed that a new colony, would do nothing but divide and shatter Equestria, forever.
"And as I sit here writing about this, under the beautiful moonlight, reminiscing the sweet memories of Mother, I can't help but feel just as pained as I did when I bore witness to Luna's, the Moon Princess, banishment to the moon. For tomorrow is 1,000 year Anniversary of Luna's banishment, *tears run down the figures cloaked face cheeks* and the very day that my Mother will finally return. * Sadness turns into anger* But tomorrow, is also what others would call 'The Summer-Sun Celebration'. The day Celestia had defeated Nightmare Moon and became the sole ruler of Equestria.
"And after a thousand years, I still can't believe that she still has the nerve to keep the truth from the ponies of Equestria, instead of coming clean and make it a day of mourning for her sister, who sits alone in the moon. And it's because of this, I fear that Celestia might discover my existence one day.
"And that fear, soon became hate. Hate for what she did, and why it was wrong. If she hadn't been so blinded by fame and glory, my mother would've never been banished, and her Night Colony, that she formed anyway without Celestia's consent, that I had to rule for her since that day, would still be here.
"If she had only listened to Luna on why she proposed the idea of a new colony, she'd understand why a new would've been beneficial. But fame and glory had blinded her eyes from seeing what's important not only to her, but for the good of all of Equestria.
"*sighs in defeat* But after so many years, Mother wouldn't want me to keep hiding in the shadows like a coward as I continue to hate my own Aunt for what she did. Mother would want me to confront her face to face, and tell her that she wasn't the only one who suffered a loss that fateful night. That I had witnessed the banishment of my own mother, and that without her, the Night Colony had eventually ceased to exist, since I was too young to try to rule an entire colony at the time.
"And once she realizes everything that happened after Luna's banishment, she'll feel the guilt of her crimes and explain her side of the story. And once she does, she'll ask for forgiveness, which I'll gladly give. Just because I hate her for what she did, doesn't mean I don't love her for who she is. She is my aunt after all, I can't hold a grudge forever.
And once I fill in mother with what happened recently, we'll all be able to live happily once again. And as I finish writing this, I must prepare for tomorrow morning, because when Mother returns, she'll want to see, *removes clothes, revealing to be an Alicorn Stallion* her sweet little Night Prince. *smiles, then blows out candle*
