She's a flutter, like a butterfly, in the wind, just waiting to be seen. But even a little flutter can be a big deal.

No matter how small, she is a butterfly of an unfathomable size.

Somepony said it once, and I will say it again: she's a flutter. And it's impossible to not be inspired by her.

Even now, you don't always realize just how much she means to you.

Fluttershy was an extraordinary little pony. And I knew that from the moment I met her.

That's the kind of thing you can't really put into words. It's impossible for me to express the feelings. It's so incredibly overwhelming and amazing.

"She'd feed me a hot slice of pizza if it came in the mail."

"It's not a danger to me, but if I see her outside, I'd like to get a hint of her scent."

"Sterling tells me Fluttershy is a terrible mother, but I don't think she knows anything about my feelings."

Fluttershy is one of the best additions to the series. She serves as a great role model for all sorts of cartoon princesses who would otherwise never be given such moments of self-actualization.

"She's kind of cute! I like the way she twirls her mane around"

"She's kinda cute, but also kinda mean. She's very unforgiving"

"I find Fluttershy adorable, but her manners are odd."

"Fluttershy is very nice, but kind of nuts."

I mean if Fluttershy is like this then what is Rarity like? I mean I don't get it but it seems like she should be good with people but I guess not. I also feel like the whole court is stupid to have a judge be like "Hey what happened to Rarity?" and then have her change it so much in their eyes. Am I the only one that finds this... stupid?

Do you like big, heavy animals? (a very unusual question, to say the least.)

"It's not that I don't like big, heavy animals. They're just that they...bother me."

"I don't really care what they do. They're just...extra."

"I think it's hilarious when Fluttershy is so busy freaking out over something that other animals wouldn't even notice...and I spend the whole day trying to make her look not as stupid as possible!"

Fluttershy probably has something like the following characteristics:

Your big, heavy-looking animal stinks.

You want to be rid of it, but you're afraid you might make another one worse.

Boring, plain, everyday animal stuff.

"You know, I like Fluttershy's kind of attitude, where you do what needs to be done."

"A few months ago, Pinkie Pie told me about a unicorn with a very strong sense of duty and a desire to protect others. Pinkie called her Fluttershy. We fell in love. But she needed my help." "She needed my help for all the same reasons I do. I was the only one who could heal her. But she'd never really been able to trust anyone but me before. When I first met her, she didn't know how to treat my friends, or how to show appreciation for their feelings or their talents. And when I finally got her to open up and show her interest in her friends, she went from a shy, emotional, withdrawn girl to one of the strongest, most loyal ponies we have. Pinkie told me that Fluttershy isn't just an all around wonderful pony, but that she's actually good for people.

It's been two years since Fluttershy came into Ponyville, so I thought it'd be a good time to teach her how to be more social, as well as making her more comfortable around people. Pinkie loves making people happy, and doing the right thing. She doesn't know how to convince people, but she makes sure she does it on her own, and I believe in Pinkie so much that I am willing to take the time to teach her how to be more social in Ponyville.

The first time we meet Fluttershy, Fluttershy has been married to both of her husbands. What changed, and what didn't? We go into Fluttershy's career and marriage, and the genesis of the two broken friendships. I hope this marks a turning point, where we start to take the original short seriously, and I think it is the start of a little bit of an extension on the narrative. I think it will be good.For those of you that haven't seen the original short, "Marefriend," I feel that it is a beautiful story about loss. It is not a simple story about romance, or of friendship, but more of what it means to be broken, and how it hurts you.

Twilight Sparkle: "She is an adorable little fluffball. I will admit, she's a little gassy, but she makes up for it with her ability to fly."[41]

From the episode Rainbow Falls, "The Cutie Map", Fluttershy: "Hi! You're Princess Celestia's little pony friend. Could I speak to you for a moment?" Twilight Sparkle: "Of course, I'm the Princess of Friendship and I'll answer any question you have about this world."

From the episode Equestria Games, "Return to Your Roots", Fluttershy: "Ugh, how bad can I feel?" Twilight Sparkle: "I bet it's worse than I thought." Fluttershy: "My tummy...it hurts!"

Fluttershy: "Not today." Twilight Sparkle: "Why not? So what, it's like I never told you. I guess I shouldn't complain." Fluttershy: "I still miss my mom. I wish she was here..."

Applejack: "Lucky thing, there's no coming back from a nose bleed."

"I'm not really really sure if we're meant to like her, yet. It's hard to say. I don't know how much I feel. My only reaction is one of pity."
