My opinion is that Rainbow Dash's only major flaw is her lack of wings. She can fly, but she doesn't have wings, so she has to dive or hover to get around. She can also fly backwards, which helps her get across long lengths of river, but it's a bit silly. Besides that, she's a delightful character, even if her catchphrase isn't quite the funniest.

- She doesn't care about rules. No matter the reason, no matter what the consequences are. She ignores orders and she thinks anything is alright as long as she gets her way.

- What is hot about her? She's hotheaded. She's proud of her ability to be brave. She loves to challenge herself and to do things that nobody else can do.

- She doesn't trust anyone. If someone refuses to listen to her, she just has to take it out on them. You can see that in her behavior with humans she's always taking out her frustration on them.

- Her power stems from her ego. She feels she is the best, and that gives her the confidence to do anything.

- She has no responsibilities, and she thinks she can't be judged by how others see her. She is, in fact, the most self-important of all the Mane Six.

- Her best friend is Applejack.

- She has no friends except for Applejack and Fluttershy.

- Her biggest pet peeve is talking to an ordinary horse.

- Her best friend is Pinkie Pie.

- She is a non-conformist.

"No joke. She's funny as she goes on." - Pinkie Pie (the one who thinks she's funny, and the one who thought the only thing funny was Fluttershy jumping. Twice.)

It has also been hinted in several forum posts that at least some of Rainbow Dash's friends wish she was a mare.

'Every day I wake up wishing I could fly,' one user wrote. 'This story made me laugh and cry at the same time.' What's not hard to tell is that some are in awe of Rainbow Dash.

One of the best parts about the anime is that the fan art is really diverse and often very subtle. As such, it has become a bit of an Internet joke to take some of the more risqué panels and incorporate them into other things, particularly MLP. One of the funniest depictions of Rainbow Dash was by the Reddit user SheHatesFinn , who mixed together old Rainbow Dash/tangent image from episode 631 with the "ear hole shower sequence" from other episodes. (It turns out that we, that is, the internet, were wrong about Rainbow Dash's episode's story, but the idea behind SheHatesFinn's work was clever enough.) Similarly, Redditor Marissimo crossed two different panels into one, the second featuring Rainbow Dash and Twilight Sparkle (fistpump style!) holding up the alicorn disguise she had forged on Rainbow Dash's boss and subsequently about to be found out. (Ironically, this image was also posted on TTF.net.)

Meanwhile, another user's single panel on Twilight, the original hero, wound up taking a notable twist in a pop-culture reference.

She's just so silly and energetic!

Why do I love her so much?

She's such a good pony, she's so loveable.
