Into Equestria and Fighting Princesses

Author's Notes:

If this story feels rushed, that's because it is. And as weord as it may sound, it's supposed to be. I mainly wrote this as a story to those who enjoy my work as a whole while I work on the other things. It's also just a base for the series and the rest of the chapters will be much better paced. Finally when the other five are introduced, each word is a different link. You'll see what I mean when you get there. I hope you enjoy it.

I decided to head to Comic-Con as my OC. I never gave him a name so I just went with my actual name, John. I wore a business suit with a red tie. I used on some makeup to put on two scars. One that went horizontal across both eyes and one vertically across my left eye. I even got a contact lense that made my left eye look like those characters from Tokyo ghoul. I also dyed my hair white and slicked it back.

My character had a hardened larynx and couldn't speak so I kept a notepad and pencil on me for whenever I wanted to act in character. The only thing I didn't copy about my OC was cutting off my left ring finger. After loosing his wife he cut it off so he couldn't get married again. Walking around I noticed a booth with many different items. What caught my eye however was a pendent. It was a silver dragon on a thread.

"Like it?" I looked up to see a man dressed like the resident evil merchant.

"Yeah I do. How much for it?"

"30 dollars, sound fair?" I nodded and handed him the money and put it on under my tie.

"Who are you anyways? I never see a character like you." He asked me.

"It's an original. He made a deal with an God and gained super strength, speed, and the ability to use magic. In return he lost his wife and cut off his ring finger. He also has a hardened larynx."

He nodded, "Interesting, well have a safe trip." Before I could question him I blacked out. I woke up with a splitting head ache.

I brought my hand up to my face and instantly felt something wrong. The gap between my pinky and middle finger was too wide. I opened my eyes to see my ring finger missing. I bolted up and looked at it. The scar where it was cut off was clean and mostly flat. Looking around I saw a a steam nearby. I looked into it and saw my face looked like my OCs. I touched my face and felt my scars. They were real, I tried to take out my contact but just ended up poking my eye.

After a 30 minute freak out and cleaning out my eye I looked around. I was in a clearing in the forest with a stream near the edge. I started following the stream downward.

"Let's hope this leads to a town." I was walking for an hour when I thought of something.

"If I have the scars, messed up eye, and missing ring finger. Do I have the strength and speed as well?" I walked up to a nearby tree. I took basic kickboxing classes and practiced but never took any more. I pulled my leg back and kicked it full force. The tree was up rooted and sent flying across the sky, while the ground was cracked and caused trees nearby to fall over. I stood there shocked.

"Hope that doesn't hit anything; next is speed I guess. Kill two birds with one stone and run along with the steam." I lined myself with the stream and ran off. Trees blurred by as I ran, the water felt still as I saw my reflection. Exiting the forest I saw a town not too far off. Slowing down to a light jog I came across a small cabin that looked like it was made from the ground itself. I stopped just outside of town to catch my breath.

"I have his speed too. I hope what I don't have tho is the hardened larynx." I walked into town to see weird anthro ponies staring at me. Some had horns, some had wings, while others had neither.

"MONSTER! RUN FOR YOUR LIVES!" The ponies started screaming and run into the nearest building, leaving me in an empty street.

"Ow, I do have feelings." I walked around the now empty town. It seemed to be quite average to back home. What strikes my odd was a tree that seemed to be a library and what appeared to be a giant gingerbread house.

As I was passing what was a carousel made into a house I heard someone shout, "Stop right there you monster." I looked up to see a cyan pegasus with rainbow hair and tail. She wore a white tank top and ripped blue jeans. She flew down and I jumped back before she could hit me. She caught me off guard and rushed me, but stopped before she landed the first hit. She stared at me for a few moments before suddenly speaking up.

"You're just a stallion. What happened to your face, and where's your mare?" I rose an eyebrow. Before I could ask what she meant someone shouted.

"Rainbow, did you catch the monster?" I to see five other girls running up to us.

"There is no monster, just a lost stallion." The others came up to us cringed when they saw my eye. The white mare approached me.

"Well, I'm sorry for the misunderstanding. While I do like your choice of fashion I'm sorry for what happened with your eye."

I took out my note pad, "Thanks but it's fine really."

The lavender one spoke up, "Does your mare not allow you to talk?"

"1. What are you talking about? 2. I have a hardened larynx."

She looked thoughtful for a moment, "Girls go tell everypony about the misunderstanding. I'm going to take him to the library and talk to him." The others nodded and split up, "follow me." We walked back to the library, which was the tree as I guessed. I walked in to see a six foot tall lizard.

"Hey Spines, I'm going to be talking with this stallion about some important things. Please get us a glass of water."

"Sure thing Twilight." The now known Twilight brought me to a nice couch and sat in the chair across from me.

"Let's start with something simple. Do you have a mare?"

I brought my notepad back out, "What does that mean?"

"*Sigh* Here in Equestria the gender ratio is 10 mares to 1 stallion. As such in order to protect stallions, mares will beat the stallion in a "fight" of sorts. When the stallion is beaten a mark will appear on their body showing they belong to that mare. Then they head to the town hall to get the stallion registered and a collar. That make sense?"

"So it's basically slavery?"

"In a way...yes, why?"

"Because I hate slavery. Who rules the country?"

"Princess Celestia and Luna. Why do you ask?"

"Can you take me to them?"

"Yes I can, but I don-"

I cut her off by slamming my hand into the table and shoving my note pad in her face.

"Alright, I will. Take my hand." She reached out her hand and I grabbed it. Her horn light up with a purple glow and grew brighter. I saw purple and felt like I was being squeezed into a pinhole and back out. After getting some sort of coherency I looked around to see two mares sitting on thrones and a third mare at the bottom of the steps leading up to them.

"Princess Celestia, Princess Luna, can I please talk to you privately?" The white one nodded her head and waved her hand. The other ponies including the guards left the room.

"What do you need to talk about Twilight?" The white one asked.

"It's not me that needs to talk to you, but this stallion here that does." I walked up to them and wrote down on my notepad.

"Are you two the ones who made the slavery laws?" They exchanged glances and looked back to me.

The white one spoke up, "Yes we are. Why do you ask?"

"I demand that you get rid off such arbitrary laws."

"Who are you to demand anything of us you damn stallion." They blue one spoke angrily. I took a breath to calm down before writing.

"I was told that mares "fight" stallions to gain ownership of them. So why don't we make a deal?"

"What kind of deal?" The white one asked me.

"I wish to have a duel with one of you. You win and I'll do whatever it is you ask of me, even if it means taking my own life. If I win you have to get rid of those laws." The two looked at each other as if having a mental conversation.

"I'm afraid we can-" the white one was cut off by the blue one.

"We accept, a maid will take you to a guest room. The duel will take place tomorrow at noon." Her horn light up and a maid came through the front door.

"Please follow me if you would." I followed the mare out and into the hallway. On the way to the room she kept staring at me with hungry eyes. We came to the room and I walked straight in. It was a large room with a king sized bed and a bathroom off to the side. I looked out the window to see the moon high up in the sky. I took a shower and slipped into bed, having a dreamless sleep.

I woke the next morning to a maid shaking me awake. She guided me to the dinning hall where the two princesses were. The blue one didn't acknowledge me while the white one kept glancing at me.

"I don't believe I got your name." She said to me.

I took out my notepad, "It's John."

"I'm princess Celestia and that is my sister Luna. I hope you enjoy your stay while you're here." I simply nodded my head and continued eating. After I finished I went back to my room and meditated till 11. A butler came in and took me to a stadium. He brought me into a corridor with the entrance to the arena at the end. I didn't walk out but I got near the end and looked out. The stadium was packed with different species filling the stadium.

Celestia walked out into the center of the arena, "Mares and Stallions, we are here today to see a duel between one of your princesses against a member of a undiscovered species." The crowd roared with excitement.

"Introducing Princess Luna." She wore a iron chest plate with metal leggings and a long black skirt. She got to the center of the arena and stood by her sister.

"Up next is the Stallion, John." I walked out to a completely quite stadium. The crowd erupted into boos and taunts. Celestia flew up to a seating box that held the girls I saw from the other day.

"Now I know he's just a stallion, but he was the one to challenge princess Luna. As such he has did this of his own free will. Now will the duelists step 10 paces backwards." The two of us walked back and turned to face each other.

"Now, let the match...begin!" As soon as she finished saying that word I rushed forward closing the distance in a instant. Luna didn't have time to react as I pulled back my arm and punched her in the gut. I held nothing back as I put all my power in the attack. The shockwave shattered the ground around us as she flew off into the sky, flying through clouds and messing with there shape.

The stadium was silent as I turned and walked out.

Celestia seemed to snap out of it as I heard her shout, "John is the winner of this duel by ring out!" The butler that brought me here was staring at me wide eyed. I asked him to show me to the medical wing. He showed me the way and left as soon as he did. I waited in a chair off to the side for a few minutes before the doors busted open.

Luna was on a gurnee with her stomach bleeding profusely. The girls and Celestia walked in and stopped when Luna was taken to the operation room. I got up and walked over to Celestia. They all took a step back as I approached.

"I hope you honor the deal we made."

She flinched and said, "Yes I will, however I do have something to tell you. Since you defeated a princess we have to follow any order you give us. It was a law made before our time and one we can't change."

"Any order?" I asked her.

She started sweating, "Yes, any order."

"Can you help me get around my hardened larynx?" She was slightly shocked but controlled herself. Her horn light up a golden yellow and a red gemstone appeared in her hand.

"Simply place it to your forehead and it will merge with you. It connects to your thoughts and says them out loud. You can pick and choose what is said as well." I grabbed the stone and walked over to a nearby mirror. I placed the stone in the center of my forehead and it slid in easily. I pulled my fingers away to see a red diamond were I put it.

"Testing, testing, one-two, one-two. It worked." I smiled and turned to Celestia.

"There is one other thing I want to ask you."

"Got right ahead."

"I want to open a bar here in the city."

Thinking and a Slave Mark

"A bar?" Celestia asked me.

"Yes, I used to own one back home and until I find a way home I'd like something to remind me of there and my goal." They stared at me unblinking.

"I shall have the deed to you by tomorrow morning. After breakfast I'll have someone show you the way." I nodded and headed to the door. Opening it I looked back.

"Oh, you have until the end of the week." I walked out the ward and explored the castle. The ponies would either run away or simply stare, frozen in fear, as I passed them. After a while I stumbled across a garden of sorts. Rose bushes and golden lilies lined the path. I came across a small pond with a tree near the edge of the water. I sat down underneath the tree and began to gaze out at the water as I thought.

"How am I going to get home? Will I be able to? No, I got here so that means there's a way back. There has to be, but how will I find it? I can't just wander hoping I find something. I can't ask for the princesses help either, this is something I need to do myself. I don't know what I'm looking for though." I'm not sure how long I sat there thinking; I only snapped out of it when I felt a tap on the shoulder. I turned to see a mare with white fur and light pink hair. The orange rays of the sunset complimented the shine of her blue eyes and white nurse uniform. I stood up as she began to talk.

"We need you in the medical ward please. Something has happened and we need to confirm it." I nodded my head before following her. We walked for a few moments when I noticed something odd. She wasn't scared or nervous in any way. With how everyone else was acting, it was weird to say the least.

"Are you not afraid of me?" I decided to ask.

She glanced at me, "Why should I. If you wanted to do something you would've. There's no point in being afraid of what won't hurt you." I simply stared at her slightly wide eyed.

"May I have your name?"

"It's nurse Red Heart. What's your name?"

"Well miss-"

"Nurse."

"Yes, Nurse Red Heart, I'm John and I'm opening a bar here in..." I trailed off.

"Canterlot."

"Right, I'm opening a bar here in Canterlot. A nurse such as yourself would do wonders. I'm sure we'll need someone to help after all the bar fights that'll happen. What do you say?" She looked over to me not saying anything. After a few seconds she smirked at me.

"I'll have to think about it. As much a I hate to omit it I've been quite board here. Not many ponies enter the medical ward of Canterlot castle and I need something interesting in my life. I won't give you a answer now but I will give you one eventually."

"That's fine by me nurse Red Heart." We walked in the ward to see utter chaos, and not the good kind. Papers were all over the floor and desks. Ponies, doctors and nurses alike, were visibly stressed and tired. They turned to us as we entered and looked both relieved and worried. Nurse Red Heart lead me to a side room.

Luna laid strapped to the bed. Munltiple bags of IV were sent through needles embedded through out her arms. A tube connected to a breathing machine was fed into her throat; the heart monitor giving a slow, rhythmic beeping. Her midsection was bandaged up but the blood leaked through. Celestia, the girls, and the dragoness were off to the side.

I walked over to the side of the bed, "What did you need me to confirm?" Nurse Red Heart came over and undid the bandages. There was a black symbol on what flesh was left.

"It looks a lot like a Oriental dragon, but why is it biting its own tail?" I noted out loud.

"A Oriental dragon?" Spines asked me.

"Unlike other dragons they aren't dangerous. In fact they're guardians. Protectors of the heavens and guards to the people. They have four legs with four toes on each foot and a serpentine body without any wings attached. What confuses me is that it's bitting its own tail."

"Why, is it weird?" Twilight asked me.

"In a way yes. The Ouroboros or "tail devourer," is a very ancient symbol. It has several meanings interwoven into it and symbolizes the cyclic Nature of the Universe: creation out of destruction, Life out of Death. The ouroboros eats its own tail to sustain its life, in an eternal cycle of renewal. So why is it on her?"

"Um, excuse me John." I turned to nurse Red Heart, "The magic tests show that it's a slave mark. We think it belongs to you but we've never seen a stallion give a mare one before. Can we please have a blood sample to make sure." She handed me a orange bottle and a needle. I pricked my finger and let the blood drip into the bottle. I handed it back and was told that it was all that was needed of me.

I returned to the garden and sat under the tree once more. The night had fallen and the moon was in full view. I simply stared at it, letting my mind wander. I thought about home, my family, and friends. I felt the warmth of my tears my fall down my face as I continued thinking. I heard the rustling of the grass behind me. I wiped my tears away and turned to see nurse Red Heart there.

She held a warm smile as the pale moons glow shined down on her. She opened her mouth and began to speak.

Back Story and Tokens

Author's Notes:

It's short but I hope you all like it.

She opened her mouth and began to speak, "Excuse me John, we need you in the throne room please." I nodded my head and followed her into the castle. We walked in silence not even looking at each other. The walls were pure white with slight gold outlines. The moonlight filtered through the stain glass windows.

"How is blue bitch doing?" I suddenly asked. I know it's rude to call her that but with how cocky she was acting I was being nice. She went wide eyed for a second before responding.

"Princess Luna is doing better but still in critical condition. You really did a number on her." I couldn't placed her tone of voice. It wasn't monotone but not full of emotion either. Somber maybe?

"I never meant to do that to her. I only wanted to bang her up a little bit. I don't know my own strength sometimes." I rubbed the back of my head. She rose a brow bit didn't say anything. We walked into the throne room to see Celestia sitting on her throne.

"Ah, John, it occurred to me that you don't know where your room is. The maid behind you will take you." I turned to see a mare in a maid uniform there. She was shaking and simply nodded her head and walked away. I walked after her down the hall. Nurse Red Heart followed her with me. We reached my room and I thanked the maid. I was about to close the door when Red Heart spoke.

"If it's alright, can I speak to you?" I rose a brow but opened the door and stepped to the side. She walked in and sat down on the couch off to the side. I closed the door and sat the chair across from her.

"What is it you needed to talk about?"

"You actually, more specifically how act. When we were alone you seemed care free but around the princesses and the elements you seem cold in a way."

"Ah yes, I'm normally calm, lazy, and quite the nerd if you would believe it, but in tough or serious situations I'm cold and calculating. Does that make sense?"

She nods, "I can see that. Um... How did you get so strong? You couldn't have done it alone could you?"

'Let's see I went to a convention, bought something and teleported to a TV show. She'll think I'm crazy. I know, I'll just tell her my characters back story. She'll believe that... Right?'

"My home land was plagued with war. Any and everyone who could help did. I was one of the unlucky few to be drafted as soldiers. It was brutal to say the least. Not five months in did I get these scars. That was when we got word that our village was going to be attacked by 2000 troops. 2000 troops that we mere 200 had to kill. Worse part was is that we wouldn't get any reinforcements in time.

One night I snuck out to the temple in order to pray. I wasn't a religious man then, nor am I now, but I had nothing left to lose. What I didn't expect however was it to be answered. Sort of. One of the gods, Mórrígan came to me. She said that she could give the to strength to protect what I wanted. A price was the only thing she wanted in return. I said yes obviously, who wouldn't. She said something cryptic though, 'I wonder how my warrior of fate will turn out in this twisted tale.' I ran home to tell my wife the news. But by the time I got home it was too late.

There was a break in, both my wife and daughter were killed. It was then I realized what she meant. I got the power to protect, at the cost of losing what it was that I wanted to protect." We sat in silence for a few moments.

"I'm sorry you had to go through that."

"It's fine, it happened over 300 years ago." She reeled back in shock.

"Over 300 years! How old are you?!" She all but yelled.

"I don't know, I stop keeping track after 300." I never actually gave him a age, let's hope they'll believe that.

"Well, I better get going. Goodnight John."

"Goodnight nurse Red Heart." She left as I got up to change. I looked out the window and gazed out at the sky for a few minutes before crawling into bed. The sheets were soft and warm but one could feel how durable they are.

Before I could close my eyes I heard a loud pop and something hitting my head. I sat up to see a scroll in my lap. I was confused but opened it up.

Hello John,

It appears that I need to tell you a few things. First, you're not the only one who is like this. Second you can call for help or aid others with tokens. I'll won't tell you about getting them, but how to send them out. Take an item and put your magic into it. A message is also a nice thing to add. Then simply toss it and the void will send it through out the multiverse.

The merchant.

I rose a brow but thought to give it a try. I grabbed my necklace I bought and slowly but surely poured my magic into it.

'How am I able to use magic? Must be innate I guess. I'll have to find out tomorrow.'

I brought it up close, "I am John, contractor of Mórrígan, Goddess of fate and war. Should you need my help, simply call me and I shall come." I tossed it off to the side and saw a void open up. The necklace multiplied and scattered. I small clink notified me that the necklace landed back on the night stand. I laid back down and closed my eyes.

'I hope tommorow will be better.'

A Date? And a Customer!

I awoke to the sunlight shining down on me. I took a morning shower and picked up my pants. I quick sniff showed that I needed to clean it... and more clothes. I put on my suit and made a mental note to go see a tailor sometime soon. I sat down on the couch and began to think.

'How do I use magic? I have everything else about my character so I should have his magic abilities as well. After his family's death he went to study with the ancient monks of the northern mountains and learn about the seven chakras. Opening them was what allowed him to channel it much easier than he normally would. I should start with the first one and go from there.' I pulled up my legs and sat full lotus style, 'First is the Muladhara, located and the base of the spine near the tail bone. It represents our foundation, anchoring us and gives the feeling of being grounded allowing one to withstand challenges on our own two feet.'

I focused on my breathing, imagining a small red disk spinning in time with it. As my breath became more focused the disk began to become clearer in my mind. My legs felt heavy, though not physically but spiritually. It was when I felt a rush of energy burst forth and simmer down again that I knew I opened the chakra fully. I opened my eyes to see nurse Red Heart sitting across from me, making me jump.

"You startled me nurse. What are you doing here?"

She smirked slightly, "I was supposed to bring you breakfast but you were so focused you didn't here me enter. I even shook you but you didn't budge. You've been like that for a few hours now. You're already late to lunch as well." I looked over to the clock and saw it was well past noon.

"There's no time like the present. A late lunch is lunch non the less." We got up and left the room, heading down the hallway. We took quick glances at each other but not actually say anything. It wasn't untill the dinning room doors came into view that she spoke up.

"I'm sorry about last night. I didn't mean to pry into your life like that." Her voice was downtrodden.

"It's ok, I know you didn't mean it. It isn't something I hide, if people want to know than I tell them. If not then there's no reason to bring it up." I opened the doors to see Celestia at the head of the table.

"John, there you are. Here is the deed to bar you wanted. Red Heart will take you there now." She floated a scroll over to me and left the room, leaving me and Red Heart alone. I rose a brow and looked over to said mare.

"We could stop at a restaurant on the way if you like."

"I would like that." We began leaving the castle and on to the city, "What did you have in mind?"

"How does donuts sound?"

I smirked, "I thought donuts would be a guard thing, not a medical one."

She giggled, "Normally yes, but you haven't eaten breakfast sooo..." We shared a small laugh and fell into a comfortable silence. I took the time to look around. The buildings looked like they were made from marble with gold outlining them. Everything had an air of nobility around it. The high class clothing the ponies wore was a large evident of that.

Speaking of ponies, everyone is afraid of me. Whenever I glance at someone they flinch and run away. I sighed and simply looked forward. We reached a small dinner called donut Joe's. We entered the empty building and sat down in a random booth by the window.

"Just hold on a second." I heard a male voice from the back. After a moment a man with beige like fur and a brown mane came out wearing an apron over his uniform. He froze upon the sight of me but continued to make shaky steps forward.

"W-What can I get y-you today?" He was clearly scared but tried to keep a brave face.

"I'll have a simple glazed like always. What about you John?" If Red Heart noticed his fear she didn't show it.

"I'll have a basic chocolate donut." Joe nodded his head and quickly left.

"How are you enjoying Canterlot so far?"

I looked at her with a straight face, "Well people run away whenever I look at them so... Ok I guess. I just want to get to the bar and kick back. Maybe play some video games if there are any. You guys got video games, right?"

She rose a brow, "We have arcade and pinball machines but that's about it. You play those things?"

'Is... Is that a teasing tone in her voice? Two can play that game.'

"Yes I do. Why do you ask? Don't like how your date playing them?" I said in a very teasing tone.

"D-D-Date!" Her face flushed red like a bright cherry tomato. I suppressed I chuckle.

"Well we are eating lunch together, just the two of us. Where I'm from this counts as a date. Is it not the same here?"

"N-No I-I-I mean i-it is but I m-meant-" she sputtered before I cut her off with my laughing.

"I'm kidding, I'm only messing with you. Your face is priceless." I settled down to a chuckle while she puffed out her cheeks into a adorable pout.

"Not funny." Joe came out and gave us our donuts. We quickly ate them and left on our way to the bar. It was only a few minutes walk from the dinner. The outside looking like any other building, besides the sign of a dragon breathing fire above the door. The inside however was completely different and beautiful looking.

"The upstairs acts a house as well too. You can live and work here as well." I nodded my head and turned to her.

"Thank you, what time is it?"

She looked at her watch, "It's 5:30, why?"

"It's time to open up, that's why." I flipped the sign to open and walked behind the bar.

"Hey John, is the offer from earlier still on the table?" I rose a brow.

"Yeah, why?" She smiled and walked behind the bar.

"I'd like to work at the Dragons Breath Bar."

I smiled, "Sure, welcome aboard Red."

"I'm happy to be here." The door opened to a mare in a guard uniform walking in. She didn't have her helmet or weapons on her. She walked over and sat in the stool, though uncertainly.

I gave a warm smile as best I could, "Welcome to The Dragons Breath Bar. How badly do you want to get shit faced."
