Void Streak's POV

As Void began to stir, she felt as though she was unable to move. But, as she struggled, she managed to push the blankets off and sit up as her muscles protested every move with a shot of pain. As she opened her eyes, her vision began to swim, her mind dizzy and in an immense amount of pain. "Hmmm?" She moaned as she tried to rub the sleep from her eyes. Mind hurt. Once her vision cleared somewhat, she realized she was in a room filled with two couches, a table, a mirror and three doors. She also noted that the lights were turned off, and on one of the couches sat Andrik.

He stood up and walked over to her with a look of concern. "Ah, you're finally awake." He said quietly in a neutral tone as he sat down beside her. "How are you feeling?" He then put a hand to her forehead.

"I-I've been better..." She whispered as she could feel the bale shooting up her throat. "Uck, uh..." Her stomach then growled, and she began to feel nauseous. Ugh, I think I'm gonna be sick.

As he realized what was likely to happen next. He took Void off the bed and put her on his back. "Don't worry, I'll get you to the bathroom." He said as he used his magic to open the bathroom door and ran inside. "Alright, if you're going to get sick, please do it in there." He then carefully lowered her next to the toilet before starting to walk out of the bathroom. "Now I think I'll-" He stopped as he felt a weak tug on his pant leg.

And he turned to see Void with a pleading look. "P-please don't go... I-I don't feel good." She said in a strained tone as she turned back to the toilet. And she felt the bale rise again, knowing full well what was coming. "Ugh, bahhhhhh..."

As she got sick, Andrik put a comforting hand on her back. "It's going to be okay, Comrade. Deep breaths." He said as he felt her breath slow before she vomited again.

After spending over an hour in the bathroom, Void was aided back to the bed by Andrik. "T-thanks..." She said as she was laid back against the pillow.

Andrik shook his head. "You are welcome." He then knelt down so that they were at eye level. "But next time, just try not to challenge me to a drinking game." He said in a sarcastic tone. But, as he said this, she noticed that he seemed to have a longing look in his eye. Why is he looking at me like that?

She just shook it off as she was reminded of how dry her throat was. "Hey, could you get me a glass of water? I'm really thirsty." He nodded before he ran back to the bathroom.

Before he came back with a glass of water. "Now, I need you to look up and open your mouth. Do you trust me?" She nodded as he levitated the glass over to her. And slowly let her drink from the cup. I don't know why, but I kinda like this. She then chuckled as she thought back to the last time she was like this. And to think, the last time I was this hungover. I was bound to a mad stallion's wall.

Once she was finished, he moved it over to the nightstand on the far side of the bed. "Ah, that hit the spot. But, could you get me more water? Cause I'm still thirsty." She asked to which he nodded once again. And he walked over and grabbed the glass before heading to the bathroom.

This pattern continued throughout the rest of the day. As with Void having her hangover, Andrik had to care for her needs. Such as getting her water, food, or anything else she wanted. Not that I mind. After all, it's a way for me to show her how much I care. And thankfully, he was able to put her to sleep a few hours ago. And now, he was currently trying to call room service for dinner. "Hello?" He asked as the ringing stopped.

"Hello, brother. How's your girlfriend?" Asked a very familiar voice. Which caused him to groan.

"For the last time, Sasha, she isn't my girlfriend." He then creaked opened the door. And saw Void fast asleep beneath the covers. Yet. He then quietly closed it. "Anyway, she's fine. But earlier, she had some bad nausea." He then thought for a moment. "Hang on, isn't today your anniversary?"

"Oh, the poor girl. Well, serves her right for thinking she can outdrink my little brother!" She said as she began chuckling. "And yes, it is. But they wanted me for the evening shift."

He shook his head. "I see... But, you do realize I'm right here, you know?" He said seriously before breaking out laughing as he thought back to that crazy afternoon.

Andrik and Void stared at the other as they waited to see who would the first to fall. By this point, they had both drank four shots each. And, while he was feeling only slightly drunk. She seemed to be on the verge of collapse. "I told you, you were going to regret this." He said in a smug tone as he chugged another shot of vodka and pickle juice.

Void grabbed at her next glass and shakily brought it up to her lips. "O-oh yeh? Yu'll be the *hic* on to regret thish..." She slurred as she slammed the table with the glass. He then shook his head as he called for two more shots of vodka and one of pickle juice.

And when it arrived, he drank his vodka before gulping down the pickle juice. "Are you sure about that?" He asked as he lowered his glass.

She then chugged down ner shot and slammed the glass on the table. "You bet I'm sursh! Ju-just you wait..." She stopped as her head swayed forward before collapsing on the table.

The crowd that had been watching then exploded in cheers. As the waiter came up to Andrik and gave him the bill. "Thank you." Said Andrik as he read it over. Before pulling out 40 rubles and handing the cash to him. "Here you go."

The waiter then nodded as he took it. "Do you need a taxi? Or can you drive?" He asked as he looked between Andrik and Void.

Andrik chuckled slightly. "I think I can drive." He said as he stood up and walked over to Void's unconscious form. And the waiter left as he then picked her up and carried her out of the restaurant. As he walked, he noticed quite a few people giving him curious stares and gazes. Yeah, I'm sure I would do the same. He paid them no heed and headed for his ZIL-4112P. He then placed her in the passenger seat and buckled her in before going around and entering on the driver's side. He started up the car and turned on the seat warmer as he ran an affectionate hand through her beautiful rainbow hair. "You beautiful, stubborn girl." He whispered as he smiled before driving onto the road and heading for the hotel. "I still don't know how I find you all so cute."

Andrik pulled into his private parking spot before he teleported up to his room. "Alright, well...I guess you can go on the bed." He said as he took off her high boots, hat, and jacket and placed them on a mat and hanger by the door. "There we go." He then carefully levitated her onto the bed. Once that was finished, he walked over to her and... Why does she have to be so beautiful? He shook his head before tucking her in and bent down to pet her hair again. I have waited so long for this. He smiled again as he walked to the door, hung up his coat, and walked outside. And, when he saw it was clear, he began to pace. "At least no one had to see that... Well, except for the KGB." He chuckled as he said this. "Besides, it's not like I kissed her or anything." He then looked down and remembered he didn't take off his boots. "But I'm not sure about wearing boots inside. Now that was not good! But I guess this is one of the few times I would sacrifice my manners. After all, it's not like I'm going to walk through the whole hotel like that. I would never hear the end of it from Sasha." He found himself smiling as he thought of her. Oh, my sister, she may be annoying at times. But she has always been there for me, and I for her. He then chuckled again. "Heck, if it wasn't for my position, she would probably be raising a million kids while her husband worked in the mines with papa. And how does she thank me? By-" He stopped mid-rant as he heard someone clear their throat behind him.

And he turned to see a beautiful green-eyed blonde woman was standing behind him. And in her hands was a small suitcase. Speak of the devil... "By what?" She asked in a smirk as she walked up to him.

He took on a neutral expression as he straightened his tie. "How long were standing there for?" He asked as he folded his arms and glared at her.

"Long enough," She stated as she was now looking up at him. "So, she really is the one, hm?" She asked as she leaned upwards and gave him a side glance that screamed: I got you!

He shook his head. "Well, yes. And I'm sure you know why?" He asked as he stood firm.

She leans back and relaxes. "Is it that you are more interested in her, or is it just because she's one of them?" She asks as she gives him a questioning stare.

He sighs as he looks up at the ceiling. "Well, to be honest... She is the most interesting version of her that I've ever had the pleasure of knowing." He looks back at her. "But now I have a question for you." She nodded for him to continue. "What are you doing up here anyway? I thought you were a waitress at the restaurant only?"

As he finished, she began to chuckle. "Yes, I am. But today, I only had the morning shift." She then tried to calm down. "But the reason I'm here is that I'm renting a room for the night." She stated.

Andrik cocked his brow. "Why would you need to rent a room for tonight?" He asked as her eyes darkened.

Sasha then scoffed as she pinched the bridge of her nose. "Did you actually forget?" He took on a look of confusion which seemed to upset her more. "It's for my anniversary!" She yelled as his confusion turned into understanding. "And Dimitri and I are spending tonight and tomorrow together!" Ohhh... That makes sense.

He strokes his chin. "Oh yeah... I forgot that it's tomorrow." He said as he stared blankly at the ceiling before looking back at her. "Sorry." He finished as he thought of her husband. Yeah, I remember him. He nearly drank me under the table... Nearly.

She turned her back to him. "Yes, you better be sorry." She huffed as she began walking away. Wait a minute... Void is still wearing her day clothes...

His eyes widened as the realization struck, causing his cheeks to grow pink as he thought of the implications. Oh no... He then teleported in front of her, which caused her to freeze. "Wait!" He yelled before realizing she wasn't moving. And when he did, he cleared his throat as her shock wore off. "Look, I need your help." He stated as she recomposed herself. "You see, Void Streak has a bad hangover. And she needs help with changing into her nightgown."

She then smirked as she half-lidded her eyes. "Why can't you change her?" She said as his eyes widened and his cheeks flushed. "Hah, got you!" She bellowed as she broke out laughing. Andrik, however, did not seem very amused. "Oh, you should've seen the look on your face!"

He just waved her off. "Yeah, yeah, just laugh it up." He deadpanned as she continued. You know what? I'll just ignore her until she stops.

After about a minute, her laughing fit finally came to a close. "Okay, okay, I'll help you." She stated, still with a slight chuckle.

Andrik then nodded as he gestured for her to follow. "I hope you realize that that could get you in a lot of trouble." He stated in a calm tone as he led her into the room.

She chuckled. "Of course I know that-" She cut herself off as she came further into it and heard snoring. "She really is out like a light, huh?" She whispered as she stared at the bed and folded her arms. "Actually, now that I think about it. How did she get this drunk in the middle of the day?"

Andrik seemed to ponder his response for a moment. Now is probably not the best time to talk about that. He nodded at himself. "I'll tell you later. But right now, I need you to head to her room and fetch her nightgown." She shook her head before nodding nodded. "Here, it's her floor and room number." He grabbed a pen out of his jacket, wrote it down, and handed it to her.

She took it and put it in her suit pocket. "Alright, will that be all? Or would you like me to get her some new underclothes as well?" She asked with a smirk as he pinched the bridge of his nose.

He remained in that position. "Yes, just get going." He said as she gave a mock salute and walked out.

But, before she left, she turned to him. "Oh, and brother... I'm really grateful that you finally someone to love all these years." She said before turning back and walking out, before closing the door. Leaving him alone to contemplate what just happened. Wow, that has to be the most wired thing she's ever said to me. He smiled slightly, turned, and walked over to the bed. But, she was right about one thing. He partially removed the blanket and ran his hand through Void's hair. Which seemed to calm her snoring. And cause her to snuggle further into the bed. I do love you...

Present
Void Streak's POV

As Void began to awaken, she felt something firm sliding through her hair. Causing her to purr in contentment as she felt her nerves relax. Oh, what is that? It feels so...nice... But, the moment she began to open her eyes, she felt the sensation stop abruptly. When they opened, she noticed that the blanket was off her head. As she could see the rest of the room. The light was still off. And she saw Andrik sitting in a similar position as he was when she first woke up. "Hey, did something touch my hair?" She asked as he turned to face her.

He sat up as he waved dismissively. "I'm afraid I couldn't tell you." That's an odd answer. He then stood and walked over to her. "Do you want to get up? Or do you feel strong enough to do it yourself?"

She then smiled slightly. "Yeah, I think I can. But thanks for the offer." She got up and walked over to him. She then gave him a light punch to the shoulder, which he seemed to simply shrug off. "But you better not tell anyone about earlier. I wouldn't want anyone to get the wrong idea." She said as she folded her arms.

He shook his head and chuckled. "Of course, Comrade, my lips are sealed." He said as he sat back down. But, as he did, she noticed something she had not seen before: Two rows of various coloured ribbon sown in intricate vertical patterns. That was positioned on the left side of his suit. And each only in the form of small rectangles of colour, which ended abruptly before a new rectangle began, with no space between them. I wonder what those are for? "Anyway, dinner should be up in a few minutes. That is if you're up for it?"

Void blinked as she registered what he had said. "I guess? I mean, my tummy feels better." She said as she patted it. And, upon feeling nothing, she looked back at him to see that his cheeks had a slight pink glint to them. Is he okay? She shrugged it off and sat down across from him. And as she did, she was reminded of the colourful rectangles. "Oh, and I wanted to ask you," She paused as she pointed at them. "What are those for?"

He cocked his brow for a moment before he realized what she had just asked. "These?" He asked as he pointed to the ribbons, to which she nodded profusely. "Well, this one represents outstanding services rendered to the State and promoting friendship and cooperation between people and strengthening peace. And it is known as the order of Lenin." He said as he pointed to the top-right rectangle. Which had a red colour scheme with gold lines near each edge. I wonder how he got that? He then gestured to the next one. Which, while similar in colour, had a single gold line down the center. "This represents the order of Alexander Nevsky and is for officers who show personal courage and resolute leadership." And so it continued with him telling her what each one meant: The next was red with four thin purple strips called the order of the October Revolution. After that was a white, blue, red, and green one called the order of Friendship of Peoples. Why does that sound like something Celestia would come up with? Then there was a blue, white and cyan called the Medal of Ushakov. And, moving on to the second row: Was a yellow and white one called the Medal of Battle Merit and a green, white, red, yellow, black, and blue ribbon called the Medal For Strengthening of Brotherhood in Arms. "And that is what they mean," Andrik stated.

Void attempted to take in all she had just learned. Well, clearly, Andrik's been through a lot more than he was letting on. She pondered her response before her eyes widened in realization. Wait, a battle medal!? So is he some kind of soldier!? I mean, it would explain a lot, but at the same time, he doesn't seem like any soldier I've seen before! "So, you're a soldier?" She asked in a nervous tone, which seemed to gain no visible response from him.

Then, he gave a deep sigh. "Yes, I am." He answered in a neutral tone as he stared at her. But, as he did, she noticed something...different about his eyes. Rather than being filled with kindness, care, or any emotion at all, they seemed...distant, cold even. But she knew this expression well. After all, she could see it any time she looked in a mirror. It was the look of someone who had seen far too much. Why did I not see it before!? Or is he just that good at hiding what he's feeling!? She then folded her arms and turned away from him. Why did I even trust him!? I should've known!

However, her internal rant seemed to be more external than she would have liked. As she felt a hand on her shoulder, and she turned to see it was Andrik. "Leave me alone!" She yelled as she pulled her arm away and scowled at him with fear-filled eyes.

He, however, seemed more confused than upset by her actions. "Comrade, calm-"

She didn't even let him finish. "Oh, don't Comrade me!" She began as she walked back from him, her arm still firmly clutched in her hand. "You just tell me you're a soldier and expect me to be calm!?"

His expression then shifted to a more frustrated expression. "Why do you seem so scared of me when I've done nothing to you!?" He yelled in frustration. Did he really just ask me that!?

She glared him in the eye as tears began falling from her face. "Well, maybe if you were hog-tied, tortured, and plagued by nightmares of yourself becoming the pony torturing you, then you might understand!?" She screamed at him. But, as she did, she saw his eyes widen in shock before they shifted downwards and closed. "A-Andrik?" She asked fearfully, hoping that she hadn't broken him or stuck a nerve. Please don't become a psychopath and kill me.

At first, she saw no change in his expression. But then, just as she was about to tap him. She swore she could hear sniffling. And soon, that turned into crying as he fell to his knees. "I...didn't know..." He whispered as he looked up at her with tear-filled eyes. "Why didn't I know!?" He yelled as he looked up at the ceiling. Uh, what am I seeing?

She then wiped the tears from her eyes. "What do you mean you didn't know?" She asked with a cocked brow. Wait, if he doesn't know everything. Maybe, I can use this to my advantage.

He then shook his head, stood up, dusted himself off, wiped the tears from his eyes, and sighed deeply. "What I meant is that I didn't know you went through all that." He said in a tired tone.

Void then folded her arms and scowled. "Well, it's not like you could've done anything about it." She huffed in annoyance. But, if she thought she had struck a nerve before, this time, he seemed on the verge of breaking down. I was hoping to yell at him some more. But now I'm just confused.

Andrik then did something she did not expect. He reached forward, and before she knew it, she was entrapped in his arms. And when attempted to retort him. She was prevented from doing so as she felt him shiver. "No, we could've stopped them from hurting you if we were faster." He whispered in her ear, causing her to freeze in fear. Wait, so he was there? But how!? "If only we had known you were alive sooner." He then slowly backed off from her, tears still in his eyes.

Void quickly regained her composure. "So let me get this straight...you were following me the whole time!?" She bellowed, her anger not forgotten.

He sighed as he wiped away his tears. "Yes, I was." He began as he put a hand on her shoulder, which she shrugged off. "However, you would've had a high chance of dying. Which is something we could not allow."

Void considered what he had said, and her anger seemed to ebb away. Well, he does raise a good point. But there's one thing that's bothering me... She then took a deep breath and stared at him determinedly. "Why am I so important to you, huh? Why did you even track me down in the first place?" She asked with a cocked brow and an expectant scowl.

He didn't turn away from her, nor did he close his eyes. "Think." He stated his neutral tone.

Her eyes shifted to a look of confusion. "Think about what?" She asked.

Andrik's face showed no emotion, but his eyes betrayed a slight glint of... hope? It's hard to tell. "Think back to all of our previous interactions. Then, you might figure it out."

Void put a hand to her chin in thought. Okay, well...he got food for me. He was always polite and generous... He held the door open for me. He almost always seemed happy to see me for some reason. And I never had to pay for any- She stopped as her eyes widened in realization. Wait, was he- No! There's no way he could... She then looked up at him. His deep sapphire blue eyes seeming to glow in the dark as they stared down at her. A barely noticeable smile adorned his face. Which seemed to confirm her theory. Love me? She took another deep breath before slowly releasing it. "It's because you like me. Isn't it?" She asked with a firm and even tone.

Andrik blinked once, his eyes filled with hope as a frown grew on his face. "Yes, Comrade." He then stroked a loose hair back into place. "I've loved you for over two years..." He said in a soft tone. Uh, what!? How is that even possible!?

Void swiftly moved his hand away from her hair. "But how could you love me, you creep!?" She shouted. "You barely even know me!"

Andrik sighed again as he sat back down. He then looked up at her with a tired smile up as he gestured for her to take a seat. Which she did as she sat across from him. Alright, you better answer this one. He then seemed to relax. "I may not know you personally. But I know I love you regardless." So now he's a stalker and insane!?

Void looked at him as though he had sprouted wings from his head. "How does that make sense!?" She bellowed at his vagueness.

He did not even flinch at her outburst. "Because I met your sisters."
