Multiverse in Conflict: The Gathering Storm
Chapter 3: Где я?
Previous Chapter Next ChapterAs Void Streak's eyes slowly fluttered open, she quickly realized that something was amiss. For, in the place of the light, brownish quilt that she had gone to bed with, she beheld a heavy, cream-coloured comforter. Huh? As her body started to gain feel, she sat up straight and looked around the room. As she did, she quickly realized this was NOT the room where she had gone to sleep the night before. As the walls had white wallpaper in place of plain wood, and there was no window. What the heck!? Then why is it so bright? Then, she looked up to see that the only light came from an artificial one built into the roof. Also attached to the wall was a huge, wall-mounted mirror, as well as three doors. Then, she felt a sharp pain in her head. Ugh, why is my head hurting? But, as she put a hoof to her head to comfort it. Her eyes shrank to the size of pinpricks. For, what she saw was not a hoof, but instead, she beheld a pale human hand in a white sleeve. Then, she bolted out of bed and clumsily made her over to the mirror. But what she saw in the mirror was not herself. But instead, a human with long rainbow hair, rose eyes and was wearing what appeared to be a white nightgown. But the thing that stuck out to her most...was the wings on her back. As one was cyan, but the other...was metal! This has to be a dream, right? I-I mean, this can't be real. The human's face seemed to mimic her own, panic-stricken one. Okay, deep breaths. You can do this Void! She slowly breathed in and out. Alright, now, if this is a dream. Then, if I hurt myself. I shouldn't feel pain. Then, she closed her eyes and used her hoo-hand to slap her other hand. "Ow." She said as pain shot through her hand, and she opened her eyes. When she did, she saw the human staring back. "AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!" She screamed as loudly as she could as she stretched her arms upward before bringing them down. And crossing them under her chest as she bent down and began to sob. Why did this happen!?
Then, she heard the door on the far side of the room open. As she turned and saw other than Arther enters the room. This time, however, he was wearing a dark khaki suit and pants. And Under that, wore a green undershirt with a dark green tie. And on his feet, he wore tall, black boots. "Comrade Streak, are you-" Before he could continue, Void had flown over and tackled him to the ground.
"WHAT. DID. YOU. DO. ARTHER!?" She bellowed as she lay on top of him. In her hands, she gripped his collar so that they were almost nose to nose. And tears continued falling from her face.
For his part, all he could do was look into her fury-filled eyes as he took in what she said. "Well, you see...it's a long story. But, to give you one thing...my name is actually Andrik Pavlov." He said calmly, even though he felt as though her eyes were boring into his soul.
As she was doing this, she was surprised to see that Andrik seemed so calm. "So you LIED to me!?" She spat moved even closer to him.
It was at this moment that Andrik realized something...her chest was touching his. "Y-yes, I did. But that was for security purposes." He stammered as he attempted not to blush. "Look, would you mind getting off, please?"
"No way, I'm not going anywhere until you tell me what the big idea is!" She yelled as she began shaking him up and down.
Once she was finished, he took a few quick breaths as he put his hands on Void's arms before prying her off of him. "Why don't we discuss this over some breakfast?" He asked as he got up. "Because I think you could use some food in your system." Then he pulled her up as she continued to glare daggers at him.
"Well, I-Wait, did you say breakfast?" She asked with a cocked brow as her glare seemed to soften. Well, I am kinda hungry.
"Yes, that is why I came to get you." Said Andrik as he dusted himself. "So, are you coming or not?" He then started to head towards the door.
Well, my options are either I wait here and cry, or I go with him and eat? Quickly making up her mind, she cautiously followed behind him. Then he glanced over at her before opening the door. "Ah, I see you've learned how to walk. I'm impressed." He said as she passed through it. Once she walked past, she came into a marble-tiled, white-walled hallway. That was lit with more artificial lights that were similar to the one in her room. It also smelled and looked like it had been cleaned recently, as the floor reflected the light. And along the walls were many doors and small wooden tables. Where is this place? It kind of reminds me of Canterlot- At this, she shook her head. No! It's not! Then, she heard the door close, and Andrik walked in front of her. "Shall we get going?" He asked as he gestured with his hand for her to follow, which she did. As he heard her, he looked over his shoulder. "Ah, the silent treatment. I should have guessed you would react this way. No?" She just glared at him in response. "Very well."
A few minutes later
And so, they continued in silence for a few more minutes. That is until Void spotted something. For, as they came into a large, square room where there were other humans. They were all dressed in black suits and pants/skirts. The ones in skirts she guessed to be female since they look similar to herself. (Without wings or colourful hair.) Whereas the ones wearing pants looked more like Andrik. However, what really caught her eye, was a wall on the right. That had a large oil painting with a gold frame. That went from the bottom of the wall to the top. It was of a female human wearing an outfit similar to the one Andrik was wearing. But her's was double-breasted and more decorated with gold lacing and red highlights. On her back was a pair of black, feathered wings that ran from her head to below her knees. As for her arms, they were held behind her back. They really went all out with this thing, huh? Then, she backed-up slightly. So that she could get a better view of her face. As she did, however, time seemed to slow down. Her hair was done up in a braid, with three protrusions at the front. But what stood out to her most was the colouration: (going from left to right.) It was yellow, red, and dark red, while the braid was black. And then, there were her eyes. Which seemed to stare directly at her! And what made matters worse was that they were crimson. "Um, who is this?" Asked Void as she turned to look at Andrik. Who, much to her surprise was right beside her. Wow, I guess I was so distracted, I didn't even hear him move.
Then he made his way forward before he gestured with his arm. "That, my good Comrade, is Premier Sovetska Malashenka."
Wired name. Then, she shook her head. "Okay, so is she your ruler or something?" She asked curiously, which elicited a slight chuckle from Andrik.
"You could say that..." Then, he began walking. And once again gestured for her to follow. "Come, Comrade. I'm sure you could use some food."
