Two men clad in camouflage fatigues and balaclavas sat beside one another. As they continued the drive through the desert. "Andrik, how close are we to the target area?" Asked the man on the left, as he occasionally used the steering wheel to turn the massive 15-ton truck. Which, of course, no one could see but them. Thanks to the enchanted paint scheme mixed with cloaking tech.
The other man raised his head from the tablet he was holding. And turned to look at the driver. "It shouldn't be much further, Yaropolk." He then turned back to the screen. "Only about two klicks left."
"Good, I need to stretch my legs." He said as once again focused on the path in front of him.
A few minutes later...
"You have arrived at your destination." Announced the GPS in a monotone as they came to a halt. Of course, neither man noticed. As they were both far more focused on the scene in front of them. The whole area was covered in ash and fire, bodies, and the remnants of wooden and sheet metal buildings.
Then, they both turned to each other with eyes wide with horror. They quickly nodded before Andrik pulled out his radio. "This is Yarkivy to Orel-2. Come in over?" He heard nothing until...
There was a moment of static before the radio went clear. "This is Orel-2. What do you need, over?" Came the boisterous masculine voice.
Andrik once again turned to look out the windshield. "Preform a satellite scan for life signs, over?"
Another bout of static. "I copy, over." Then, the radio went silent again, as both silently hoped they had not been too late. "I'm sorry, Comrades. The scan came up empty, out."
As soon as he said this, Andrik's face went red with rage. No. No, no, no, NO! I've come TOO FAR to fail now! Then, he quickly turned off the radio. Before opening the door and jumping out into the cold night. "Hey, wait for me!" Yelled Yaropolk, as he did the same.
Once on the ground, the first thing that hit them was the smell. It was that of ash and burning flesh. They both closed the door and met up with each other. "Alright, I'll check around the smaller buildings. You check the big one. And remember, if you spot anything that has even a smidgen of rainbow hair in it. You are to immediately report back." Said Andrik as Yaropolk nodded, and they both separated to check the bodies.
At first, he found nothing. But then, when he was checking the body of a stallion in a leather jerkin. He saw what appeared to be a few strands of rainbow hair stuck in his armour. "Comrade Private Kulikov! I think I found something!" But, when he turned back to doublecheck, he also spotted tracks leading away from the body.
"What is it, Comrade lieutenant Pavlov!? What did you find!?" He asked as he ran up behind him.
"You checked all the bodies in your area, yes?" He turned to face him with a slight smile.
"Of course, but why do you-" He stopped when Andrik held out a strand of rainbow hair and pointed to the tracks. "Wait, does that mean..."
"Yes, it does." He said before his hand started to glow dimly, before becoming brighter the closer his hand came to the Kamaz 4911 truck. "Come on, we don't have much time! They both ran as fast as they could to get back to the vehicle. Wherever you have gone, Comrade Dash, I promise we will find you...

Attaistown, Storm Kingdom
1720
Five days... It had been five days they had spent in that Sovetska forsaken desert. As a sandstorm had blocked their connection. Causing them to lose their way for about three days. (Thankfully, the truck was filled with enough provisions to last them five weeks.) So, when they finally received a message from one of their agents in Attaistown, they were overjoyed. They parked the truck behind a large rock. That was about a few hundred meters away from the settlement. "Alright, you stay here. I shouldn't be too long." Said Andrik to Yaropolk as he opened the door and hopped out. Then, he walked up to the rock before engulfing both his hands in a blue aura. At that moment, the world flashed before him.
When he came to, he quickly realized that he was much shorter than before. And he looked behind himself to see that he had gained the shape of a pegasus with a yellow coat and a navy blue tail. And on his side, he wore a pouch with his bayonet and money. Good, the spell worked. He then walked out from the rock before he made his way into town.
When he got there, he quickly came to realize just how poor this town was. As, in his eyes, it looked more like a slum than a proper settlement. Classic Fudelism at work. But, once he made it to the gate, he was immediately stopped by two lightly armed guards. "State your business traveller!" Ordered one of them with a spear pointed at his chest.
Thinking on his feet (or hooves in this case.) He put on his best-terrified expression. "I-I d-don't mean any harm. You see...The caravan I was with was ambushed by raiders. And I was the only survivor." He then lowered his head for emphasis. This should work.
The guards both raised their spears. "Well, I guess you can enter. But, you had better not cause any trouble."
He quickly managed to shift to a more neutral tone. "Thank you so much. But, before I enter... Have any of you seen a rainbow maned, pegasus mare pass through here?"
One of the guards seemed to contemplate this for a moment. "Actually...yes, I have."
His eyes went wide with excitement. "You have? Where?" He asked as he saw a small airship lift off from the other side of the mountain.
The guard then pointed to it. "I think she went with them." He said as it turned and slowly started getting up to speed.
"I see... Well, thank you. This is very helpful." Said Andrik as he quickly made his way into town. As he did, he came across numerous creatures sitting or walking through the street. I would love to talk to them, but I'm in a rush. He thought as he came to an Inn. Here we go. The contact should be in here. He opened the door and walked inside. As he did, he quickly trotted through the crowded bar area and made his way to the counter.
"Well, well, well. What can I help you with, comrade?" Asked the lizard.
Andrik proceeded to lean his back against the counter. Before he put a hoof in his pouch and pulled out five storm bucks. "How's the weather?" He asked in a hushed tone.
The barkeeper then proceeded to take the money. Before he bent behind the counter. And then giving him a small glass of cheap beer. "Not great."
He quickly drank it. But, as he did, he tasted and felt a small metal sphere enter his mouth. And, when he did, he turned to face the bar. Before he slowly pulled it out of his mouth and stuffed it in his pouch. "Well, that is...unfortunate." He stated softly.
The barkeeper then leaned forward. "You should get going. You already have everything you need." He whispered.
"Okay, goodbye." Andrik then turned around before running back outside. We'll have to hurry. He continued to run through the small town. And when he finally made it outside the palisade wall. He quickly flew over to where they had hidden the truck and opened the door. "Yaropolk, we need to hurry!" He yelled as he swiftly transformed back into his human form and jumped inside.
Yaropolk, who had been napping in his seat, was quickly jolted awake. "Huh, what-"
"We don't have time for this!" He bellowed before he pointed at the airship. (that was now nothing more than a dot in the sky) "You see that airship?"
The other man seemed to squint at it before he put on his binoculars. "Yes. I see it." He said before he put them away.
"I have reason to believe she's on it." Said Andrik simply.
Yaropolk quickly nodded before he started up the engine. And the large vehicle began to accelerate at an ever-increasing speed. Moving towards the direction of the airship. Andrik grabbed the sphere from his pouch. And, upon seeing that it had a single line running through the center. He quickly popped it open with his telekinesis. Inside was a holographic projection of the barkeeper that said:
"Date: Oct 27th, 2013
Location: Attaistown, Storm Kingdom
Time: 1700
Comrade Agents, while I was proud to have received RD 22-30. I quickly came to see just how much damage those fascist pigs have done to her! She has dull fur, multiple healing wounds, as well as a missing wing and cutie mark. She has also changed her name to "Void Streak." Presumably, as a way to cope with the damage to her body. Along with the new environment.
But, I am afraid she slipped through my fingers. As just when I gave her a room, she got hit-on by a stupid, dunk mercenary dog while I was out of the room contacting you! Of course, she dispatched him quickly. But then, his collages offered her a job. And she went with them. And I even offered her a premium room for a cheap gem. So far as I know, they are planning on leaving in their airship in 15 minutes!
Also, as if it couldn't get any worse, it would appear that Comrade Agent: Dmitriy Nikitin. (Full Tankard) Left me and Comrade Agent: Stasya Kuzmina. (Arzu) After I informed him of her arrival.
Comrade Agent: Vikentiy Kuzminov signing off."
When the massage was finished, there was a light beeping that emanated from the small orb. Which, Andrik quickly threw out the window before he heard a small explosion. "Well, that is good to know. I wonder how he found all of that out so quickly?" He said as he looked with glued eyes towards the airship. And subconsciously began writing down all the information.
"He probably has the whole place bugged." Said Yaropolk. "Hey, we should probably get a lock on that airship."
At this, Andrik blinked a few times as he attempted to escape his tunnel vision. "Right." Then, he turned on the radio. "This is Yarkivy to Orel-2. Come in, over?"
There was a moment of static. "I copy Yarkivy. What is it, over?"
"There is a small airship in our area, and we know that RD 22-30 is onboard! We need a target lock, over?" Said Andrik
There was yet more static. "I copy Yarkivy. Getting Radar lock." As he said this, Andrik pulled out his small screen. Before pressing a small button located at the side and changing it from GPS mode to radar. When he did, he saw a large blue dot appear as the radar waves came into contact with it.
"Target lock confirmed. We are now in pursuit, out." Said Andrik as he turned off the radio. "Now we got her!" He yelled out in excitement.

Kell's Forest, Storm Kingdom
1500
Andrik quickly came to regret his words. Because, after they had followed the airship for a day. Then the band of mercenaries disembarked. And boarded a Storm Kingdom train which they had spent another day following to no avail. Then, they spent another day following the airship. Which brought them...straight back to Attaistown. And, by the time they got there, the airship was back in the sky.
And, as it left the airspace, they quickly followed in pursuit for two days straight, before something finally happened. They were driving through a semi-dense wood. When a distant ship-shaped object appeared on the horizon. And, as it got closer, Andrik heart began to sink. For, as he looked through his binoculars, he could see the jolly-roger flying proudly from its stern as the larger ship came-about and began to fire on their target. "Step on it, Yaropolk!" Bellowed Andrik. "We need to hurry in case the ship goes down!"
Quickly responding to his colleague's demands. He pressed his foot harder on the accelerator, pushing it up to its full speed. (100 KPH) And as they sped closer, they saw the first explosion hit. Which caused a few pieces of debris to plummet towards the ground.
But, as Andrik put up his binoculars again. He realized that what he thought was a piece of wood was a pony...with a rainbow mane. Time seemed to slow as he saw her attempting to use her one wing to slow her fall. And tears began to form in his eyes. "No. No..." He muttered before he wiped away his tears and his face became red with rage. "NOOOOOOOOOOOO!" He bellowed as the pony disappeared beneath the thick canopy of trees.
A few minutes later...
Once Andrik and Yaropolk had seen the pony disappear, they quickly drove as close as was possible to the potential crash site. Before they dismounted and began their search.
20 minutes later...
They had been searching all along the path of trajectory. And both men began to feel slight fatigue. As they had been driving around for days on end with little to no sleep. "Where could she be? I swear she fell in this direction." Said Andrik as both men walked down the path.
Yaropolk just continued searching. "I'm not sure. But-" He stopped dead in his tracks. His eyes were glued to two trees that were seat across from one another. "Comrade Lt. Pavlov, you might want to look at this."
The moment he said this, Andrik turned to look at them as well. And when he did, he noted that some of the braches were missing or damaged. Then, his eyes slowly followed the trees to the ground as he walked closer. And when he did, he began to grin widely. "Comrade Pvt. Kulikov." He said as he walked closer to the pony-shaped impact mark in the mud. That was just off the path. Before he bent down to get a closer look. "I don't think our mission is over just yet..." He said as he picked up a few strands of multi-coloured hair.
As he saw this, Yaropolk began looking for tracks. And, when he saw pony tacks and a trail of blood. He then tapped Andrik on the shoulder and pointed at his find. "Indeed, Comrade." He said as he began to feel droplets of water impacting his uniform. "What should we do now?"
Andrik sighed deeply. "The rain will probably wash away the trail. But, at least we know that she's alive." He said as his hand once again became encased in his blue aura. "Come on, Comrade. We should head back to the truck to wait out the storm."

Kell's Keep, Storm Kingdom
1500
It had been three weeks that they had spent in those woods. As the rain never seemed to stop. And when it did, it was only for a short period. And, since everything was turned to mud. They found that they could not move lest they give away their position. So they sat in the truck and waited. But today, for the first time. The sun literally came out. And, after they remembered the sign that they had read: Kell's Keep, 20 Miles. They quickly started up the engine before arriving at their destination. They hid the truck near the edge of the forest. Once that was done, Yaropolk used his own magic to transform himself into a burgundy hippogriff. And they made their way to the main gate. When they arrived, they were met with two lizard guards in padded armour. On their heads, they wore bronze helmets. And they were armed with pole-weapons. "Sate your business travellers!" Bellowed one of the guards.
Andrik nodded to Yaropolk before he took a step forward. "You see, my friend here just arrived. And we were looking for a place to stay." Not to mention a proper meal.
The guard then looked up, presumably at one of the guards on the high wall, before he faced them once again. "Alright, you can go in." Said the guard gruffly.
Easier said than done. Thought Andrik, as he and Yaropolk made their way inside.

Inn (re-written)
Present
Void Streak's POV
At this point, the sun had already gone down, leaving only the moon and street lanterns to guide Void Streak. Her hooves had also begun to feel raw. Then her stomach decided to make itself heard as it let out a low gurgle. Okay, that settles it! Food first, sleep later!
A few minutes later.
When she finally reached the Inn, she could hear the rowdy, likely drunk, patrons from outside the door. Well, here goes. She opened the door and quickly stepped inside. When she did, she barely managed to avoid a bottle to the head, as it impacted the wall behind her. Void just shrugged and continued on her way to the counter and spotted the deer from before. As she did so, her mouth began to water as she smelled all the food and drink at all the various tables. She was quickly brought back to reality when she heard the Innkeeper clear his throat. "Ah, if it isn't little miss broke." He snorted as she leaned on it. "I hope I won't have to remind you-" He paused as she pulled out 15 storm bucks and slid them across the counter.
Void stared at him as he gingerly took the money and looked it over. Once he finished, he put it under the counter before he looked back at Void. "Well, Miss, it would appear that everything is in order. Just give me a moment to get you a key." Said the deer as he bent down again and grabbed a room key. "Here you are." He gave her the room key, which she stuffed in her pocket. "Your room is number 4 on the second floor." He stated as he pointed at a staircase that was adjacent to the bar. "It's the second door on the right-" He stopped himself as Void's cheeks flushed in embarrassment as they heard a low rumbling noise.
She quickly tried to hide the blush. "Ahem, um, do you serve any food?"
"Yes, of course, we do." He said with a slight snicker. "Although, it will cost you ten storm bucks."
She once again stuck a hoof in her pocket and pulled out the needed cash. "Here you go." She deadpanned.
He took the money as he looked at her in confusion. "Aren't you going to ask what we have?"
Void shook her head. "At this point...I'll eat just about anything." She said as she stared blankly at him.
He cocked his eyebrow and looked her over before he shrugged and walked into the back of the bar. When he reappeared, he quickly made his way to where she was standing. "Alright, does a plate of dried fruits and rabbit jerky sound good to you?" And Void nodded as she attempted to prevent herself from drooling right then and there. "Alright then, find an empty seat, and I will bring it to you when it's finished."
She then made an about-turn and began looking for an empty table. But, as she was searching, one of those strange creatures- Humans, right. And a hippogriff waved her over to their table. Huh? Void cautiously made her way over to them. And, as she did, got a better look at them. The human was 6'2", with brown hair and blue eyes. And he wore a loose-fitting tunic and pants. The hippogriff meanwhile wore a belt with a small knife and a pouch. "Hey. Come sit with us." Said the human as he (she presumed it was a he from his voice) patted a chair.
"I guess." She said in response as she sat down. "Why did you guys call me over anyway?"
The human simply shugged. "Well, I guess you could say that we thought you could use some company. After all, you look half-starved." He said in a friendly tone as he looked down at her. And, as he did, Void noted something in his eyes. Is that...joy? She quickly shook away that thought. Pfff, who am I kidding? No one would be that happy to see me. Least of all, some stranger.
"Indeed." Said the Hippogriff. "Now, would you like anything, friend?" He asked. Void turned to look at him and was stunned to see that he had a simple, friendly grin on his face. Did he just...unironically call me friend? And- She cut off her inward rumbling as she looked at his eyes. He's not lying... Okay, first, Skystride is nice enough to not only give me some food. But also my money back. And now these guys are offering me anything I want? Really? She shook her head at the thought. This day just keeps getting weirder. Then he cleared his throat. "So, is that a no or-"
void quickly regained her senses. "Nono. Imeanuh. Yeah, I would like something." She blurted out before holding her hooves over her mouth. "Ahem, what I meant to say was yes, I would." She said as she sat back against the table.
The human, who had never taken his eyes off her, tapped her on the shoulder. "I am sorry, but I don't believe we have been formally introduced. I am Arther Cooper." Then he pointed to the hippogriff. "And this is my friend: Razorbeak."
Void then sat up straight. "Well, my name is Void Streak. Nice to meet you." She said with a friendly tone.
"And you as well." Said Arther as he extended his hand. And she responded in kind and shook it. "Not a bad grip you got there."
Void recoiled her hoof and shrugged. "Well, what can I say? I've been living out and about for over a year and a half." Then, she heard the sound of hooves approaching.
And she turned to see the Innkeeper. "Here you are, Miss." He said as he placed a plate of dried apples and what dried meat in front of her. So that's what jerky is.
"Thanks." Said Void as he left. And when she turned back to her food. She couldn't help drooling a little as she took in the smell. I cannot believe I'm actually drooling over meat right now.
And as she was about to eat, she felt something touch her shoulder. And turned to see Arther with his hand on her shoulder and a concerned look on his face. "I know it's not my place to ask. But...why did you order meat?" He asked as he turned from her to the plate, then back to her.
Void just pushed his hand away. "Well, if you really wanna know..." She proceeded to fold her hooves. "I was stuck in a cave for three weeks with nothing to eat but meat." She said as she dug into her meal. Mmmmm...It's good. But I guess my hunger makes it taste better.
"Right..." Said Arther as he recoiled slightly at the sight of her shoving food into her muzzle. Before he leaned over to Razorbeak and whispered something.
A few minutes later
Once Void was finished, she collected her things and said goodbye to Arther and Razorbeak. Before she headed upstairs. And followed the Innkeeper's directions to room number four. Well, time for bed. She took out her key and unlocked the door. And when she walked in, she quickly realized how small the room was. As it had only a cupboard, a simple cot-style bed, and plain wooden walls. With a single window that faced the street below. It'll do. She then locked the door behind her before she put her bag beside the bed. And, with a weary smile, she placed the sheet over herself and closed her eyes. Hmmm...so comfy.
An hour later
There was a metallic click and then a quiet groan. After a moment filled only with snoring, Void felt something warm run through her mane. Which elicited a purr of contentment from her. As a smile graced her muzzle. "Сладких снов ... моя дорогая маленькая Воид." Said a deep masculine voice as she felt a slight pinch in her flank. "На завтра ты наконец будешь дома." Then she went silent and still.

Где я?
As Void Streak's eyes slowly fluttered open, she quickly realized that something was amiss. For, in the place of the light, brownish quilt that she had gone to bed with, she beheld a heavy, cream-coloured comforter. Huh? As her body started to gain feel, she sat up straight and looked around the room. As she did, she quickly realized this was NOT the room where she had gone to sleep the night before. As the walls had white wallpaper in place of plain wood, and there was no window. What the heck!? Then why is it so bright? Then, she looked up to see that the only light came from an artificial one built into the roof. Also attached to the wall was a huge, wall-mounted mirror, as well as three doors. Then, she felt a sharp pain in her head. Ugh, why is my head hurting? But, as she put a hoof to her head to comfort it. Her eyes shrank to the size of pinpricks. For, what she saw was not a hoof, but instead, she beheld a pale human hand in a white sleeve. Then, she bolted out of bed and clumsily made her over to the mirror. But what she saw in the mirror was not herself. But instead, a human with long rainbow hair, rose eyes and was wearing what appeared to be a white nightgown. But the thing that stuck out to her most...was the wings on her back. As one was cyan, but the other...was metal! This has to be a dream, right? I-I mean, this can't be real. The human's face seemed to mimic her own, panic-stricken one. Okay, deep breaths. You can do this Void! She slowly breathed in and out. Alright, now, if this is a dream. Then, if I hurt myself. I shouldn't feel pain. Then, she closed her eyes and used her hoo-hand to slap her other hand. "Ow." She said as pain shot through her hand, and she opened her eyes. When she did, she saw the human staring back. "AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!" She screamed as loudly as she could as she stretched her arms upward before bringing them down. And crossing them under her chest as she bent down and began to sob. Why did this happen!?
Then, she heard the door on the far side of the room open. As she turned and saw other than Arther enters the room. This time, however, he was wearing a dark khaki suit and pants. And Under that, wore a green undershirt with a dark green tie. And on his feet, he wore tall, black boots. "Comrade Streak, are you-" Before he could continue, Void had flown over and tackled him to the ground.
"WHAT. DID. YOU. DO. ARTHER!?" She bellowed as she lay on top of him. In her hands, she gripped his collar so that they were almost nose to nose. And tears continued falling from her face.
For his part, all he could do was look into her fury-filled eyes as he took in what she said. "Well, you see...it's a long story. But, to give you one thing...my name is actually Andrik Pavlov." He said calmly, even though he felt as though her eyes were boring into his soul.
As she was doing this, she was surprised to see that Andrik seemed so calm. "So you LIED to me!?" She spat moved even closer to him.
It was at this moment that Andrik realized something...her chest was touching his. "Y-yes, I did. But that was for security purposes." He stammered as he attempted not to blush. "Look, would you mind getting off, please?"
"No way, I'm not going anywhere until you tell me what the big idea is!" She yelled as she began shaking him up and down.
Once she was finished, he took a few quick breaths as he put his hands on Void's arms before prying her off of him. "Why don't we discuss this over some breakfast?" He asked as he got up. "Because I think you could use some food in your system." Then he pulled her up as she continued to glare daggers at him.
"Well, I-Wait, did you say breakfast?" She asked with a cocked brow as her glare seemed to soften. Well, I am kinda hungry.
"Yes, that is why I came to get you." Said Andrik as he dusted himself. "So, are you coming or not?" He then started to head towards the door.
Well, my options are either I wait here and cry, or I go with him and eat? Quickly making up her mind, she cautiously followed behind him. Then he glanced over at her before opening the door. "Ah, I see you've learned how to walk. I'm impressed." He said as she passed through it. Once she walked past, she came into a marble-tiled, white-walled hallway. That was lit with more artificial lights that were similar to the one in her room. It also smelled and looked like it had been cleaned recently, as the floor reflected the light. And along the walls were many doors and small wooden tables. Where is this place? It kind of reminds me of Canterlot- At this, she shook her head. No! It's not! Then, she heard the door close, and Andrik walked in front of her. "Shall we get going?" He asked as he gestured with his hand for her to follow, which she did. As he heard her, he looked over his shoulder. "Ah, the silent treatment. I should have guessed you would react this way. No?" She just glared at him in response. "Very well."
A few minutes later
And so, they continued in silence for a few more minutes. That is until Void spotted something. For, as they came into a large, square room where there were other humans. They were all dressed in black suits and pants/skirts. The ones in skirts she guessed to be female since they look similar to herself. (Without wings or colourful hair.) Whereas the ones wearing pants looked more like Andrik. However, what really caught her eye, was a wall on the right. That had a large oil painting with a gold frame. That went from the bottom of the wall to the top. It was of a female human wearing an outfit similar to the one Andrik was wearing. But her's was double-breasted and more decorated with gold lacing and red highlights. On her back was a pair of black, feathered wings that ran from her head to below her knees. As for her arms, they were held behind her back. They really went all out with this thing, huh? Then, she backed-up slightly. So that she could get a better view of her face. As she did, however, time seemed to slow down. Her hair was done up in a braid, with three protrusions at the front. But what stood out to her most was the colouration: (going from left to right.) It was yellow, red, and dark red, while the braid was black. And then, there were her eyes. Which seemed to stare directly at her! And what made matters worse was that they were crimson. "Um, who is this?" Asked Void as she turned to look at Andrik. Who, much to her surprise was right beside her. Wow, I guess I was so distracted, I didn't even hear him move.
Then he made his way forward before he gestured with his arm. "That, my good Comrade, is Premier Sovetska Malashenka."
Wired name. Then, she shook her head. "Okay, so is she your ruler or something?" She asked curiously, which elicited a slight chuckle from Andrik.
"You could say that..." Then, he began walking. And once again gestured for her to follow. "Come, Comrade. I'm sure you could use some food."

Завтрак со шпионом
Once Void was back following Andrik. He led her to a room that he called: An elevator. Then, he walked up to the panel on the left side of the doorway. It had two buttons on it, and he pressed the bottom one. Then, they waited as they stood a short distance from the door. Why can't we walk inside? Then, she heard a loud ding, and the door slid open to reveal a tiny, white room with a brass guard rail on the sides. And Andrik stepped aside to allow a male and female human to walk out. As they did, she noted that they both took glances at her. I wonder what that's about? Once they were out of the way, Andrik beckoned her inside. "Right this way."
Once she did, she then turned to see him enter. Before he walked over to a much larger panel that was filled with buttons. I wonder what those are for? Then, he pressed a button that read Э-2. "Hey, that doesn't look like an E." Said Void as she stared at it in confusion.
Then the doors closed, and she felt like the whole room was moving. "Floor 45. Going down." Stated an odd female voice in a monotone.
In response, Andrik turned to face her. "Yes, it is." He stated simply.
"But then- Wait, how did I know that was an E?" She asked more to herself than to him. What is happening to me!?
"I am afraid I cannot tell you right now." He said as she once again glared at him. "But, I will tell you later."
"Fine..." She huffed as she continued to give him a death glare. Why won't he just give me a straight answer!?
The rest of the ride was silent until they heard the same voice announce that they were on floor 2. At which point, Void exited the room, with Andrik letting her out first. Ans she quickly realized that the decor was the same as the floor they were on. Except for one thing: This floor was packed! And she had to navigate through it to keep up with him. Until he stopped at two large, ornate wooden doors, one of which he held open for her. Okay, I get doing it one time. But now I'm starting to think he's doing it for a different reason. Once she walked inside, to say she was shocked would be an understatement. "Oh my gosh..." She said aloud as she looked around. The room was huge and had a domed ceiling with indents. Inside these indents were various depictions of what seemed to be workers. These guys seem to like their paintings, huh? As for the lighting, it was provided by three massive chandeliers that sat in between the art pieces. The floor was covered with wooden tiles, with the occasional carpet spread throughout, along with many tables. Where humans sat eating, drinking, and conversing with each other. So this is the dining hall!?
Andrik then tapped her on the shoulder. "Beautiful, isn't it?" He asked as he stepped in front of her before turning to face her.
"Y-yeah, it is..." She trailed as she looked into his deep, sapphire-blue eyes. And the light reflected off his face, making it appear as though it was glowing. Why do I feel warm all of a sudden?
As he noticed her staring at him, he quickly cleared his throat. "Come Comrade, I'm sure you're quite hungry." Void then blinked and nodded at him. That was awkward. Then, he brought her to another door before he gestured for her to enter. "Alright, I'll be back once I get food. So please, have a seat." Then he opened the door, and she walked inside.
Then, she heard Andrik close it behind her. Inside was a small room was a single round table, much like the ones outside. On the back wall, she beheld a large mural of a city filled with large, grey buildings, tall towers, and a beautiful blue skyline. Okay, now that is cool. Then, she sat down on one of the chairs. "Ugh! But...I still can't get over that stupid feeling I had! I...don't really know how to describe it? I mean...he's got a certain...aura to him." She said aloud as his face came to mind. His deep blue eyes had shown nothing but kindness and concern from the first moment he laid eyes on her. Then, Void felt her wings begin to rise. What is happening to me!?
Lieutenant Andrik Pavlov's POV

Hotel Nova Ukrainia, Nova Stalliongrad, Greater Equestrian SSR, Union of Soviet Socialist Equestrian Republics

As Lt. Andrik Pavlov made his way towards the restaurant counter. He could not stop his thoughts from bringing him back to his charge. I cannot believe that I actually have a chance this time! He thought to himself as he slowly made it through the line. I may have lost her before. But this time, I will achieve my goal! Then, he found himself at the front of the line. "Greetings, Comrade Pavlov." Said the young, blonde-haired, green-eyed woman in a red uniform behind the desk. "What can I get you today?" She asked with a smirk and half-lidded eyes as she leaned closer to him.
He inwardly groaned and gave her a glare. "Hello to you too, Sasha." He said flatly. As she stood back up and folded her arms. "I'll have two of those new Revolutionary breakfasts. I heard it's pretty good."
"That will be 60 rubles." She stated.
Then he pulled the money out of his wallet with his magic and put it in his hand. "Here you go." He said as he gave it to her.
She then took the money and placed it in the register. Before she pulled out the receipt. "I'll get right on it." Then she handed it to him. Before she went into the opening in the wall behind the counter. And once she came out, she walked over to him again. "The food will be done in half an hour. But, before you go. Who is the other meal for?" She asked with genuine curiosity.
At this, he felt as if he had been frozen in ice. "That is none of your concern." He said in a flat tone as he turned away from her.
"I hope she's nice...brother. Then you can stop your fantasizing and get a wife." She said in a condescending tone. Which caused him to blush slightly in embarrassment. I swear if Sasha jeopardizes my actual first impression with Void. I will throw her into a Gulag myself!
In response, he swallowed hard, which caused the blush to dissipate. Before he turned to glare at his sister. "For your information...I think this is the one. But, can you not say such things in public? The last thing I would want is that getting out." Said Andrik in a cold whisper as he hardened his gaze.
She chuckled slightly before a smirk appeared on her face. "Don't worry, little brother. Your secret is safe with me. But I need to get back to work now. Bye." She then patted him on the shoulder before walking back to the register in front of the line.
"Bye." He responded as he walked back into the dining hall. Before making his way to the small room. That he had reserved for himself and Void. But, as he neared the room, his eyes widened with realization. Void and I are going to be in the same room...for 30 minutes! Okay, this is perfect. He thought as he took a deep breath and entered the room. Inside, he saw Void flying around. "What do you think you're doing?"
Void stopped and carefully floated down to him. "Passing the time." She deadpanned as she blew a stray hair from her face. "Not to mention, I wanted to see if this thing worked." She cocked her head to emphasize her metal wing.
I should have guessed. Andrik thought while he suppressed a chuckle. "I see... Well, if you are quite finished, I would suggest you take a seat." He said as he walked past her and pulled out a chair. Then, Void cocked an eyebrow. Before she shrugged and sat down. "Because I am sure you still have many questions." He carefully pushed in her chair before sitting down across from her.
Void Streak's POV
"Okay..." Void trailed off as she tried to think of a question. Come on! Think! Then, her eyes widened as she got an idea. And she turned to face him. "Well, where are we?"
Andrik then adopted a more neutral expression. "We are currently inside the Nova Ukraina Hotel."
I already know what my next question is. "Okay. Then, how did I become a human?" She asked as she stared into his eyes. If he lies, I'll know.
"That is classified." He stated as he flashed her a slight grin.
She physically paused as she attempted to understand. "Uh, what?" She asked in confusion.
He chuckled slightly before turning back to her. "It means I cannot tell you..." He paused for effect. "Yet..."
Well, that got me nowhere real quick. Void gave made an annoyed sigh. "Fine." Then she tried to think of another question. "How did I know that was an E in the elevator?"
He gave once again reverted back to his typical neutral expression. "Well, Comrade..." He began as he pulled a piece of paper from inside his jacket. And unfolded it. "Can you tell me what this means?" He asked as he turned it around to reveal the Equestrian alphabet. Before he pointed a finger to the letter E on the page.
And, much to her shock, she could only understand a few of the letters. Wait...why can't I read it!? She could feel the sweat coming down her forehead as she tried to remember which letter it was he was pointing to. Alas, after a few minutes of desperation, she sighed in defeat. "I-I... Don't know..."
He then placed the paper back in his suit before pulling out another one. "Now, why don't you tell me what this means?" He then unfolded the page, which appeared to be another alphabet. This one, however, was one she did not recognize. What the heck? Then, he pointed to Д.
She scrunched her eyes for a moment before something seemed to click in her mind. "It's a D?" She said aloud. Was I right?
He folded the paper away, never taking his eyes off of her. "Correct." He said as she felt panic rising inside her mind.
She took a few breaths as she attempted to stop herself from sounding panicked. "H-how did I k-know that?" She stammered out after a few tense seconds. Great, I sounded like a nervous wreck!
He shook his head before facing her. "I am afraid I cannot answer that particular question..." He said as she glared daggers at him. "But, I can answer why. And the reason is quite simple. You see, very few people here speak English, or what you might call Equestrian." WHAT!?
Then, her eyes widened. "Wha-How did you know that!?" She yelled in response. "And what do you mean by English!?"
He just sat back in his chair. "Well, for one. Yes, I know you're Equestrian. As to how I know that. It is-"
"Let me guess...classified?" She finished for him. Yep, I should have known.
"Now you are beginning to understand." He then flashed her a slight grin of approval. "And, to answer your other question. English is what we refer to as the language we used during our first encounter."
Then, she took on a more curious gaze. "Okay, then...what language are we speaking now?" Asked Void with a cocked brow.
And, much to her surprise, the dauer man in front of her began to laugh. "Now that is the question I was waiting for all morning!" Then he attempted to quell his laughter by banging the table three times. Before he looked back up to her. "We are speaking Russian!" He bellowed before he coughed into his sleeve and stopped chuckling. "So...next question?" In response, she began carefully shifting her eyes around the room. Okay, I need to find something sharp, quick! As she did this, she did not notice that he had not taken his eyes off her. "What do you think you're doing?" He asked as she felt a chill down her spine.
Then she looked back at him and attempted to quell the urge to kill him. "I-I'm looking for something..." Said Void nervously. Crap crap crap!
Andrik regarded her with a knowing look as he used his left hand to dust off his jacket. "Look, Comrade. I know you want to kill me for what I know." He stated casually.
Her eyes went wide as she processed his words. Okay, it's one thing to hear venom. But...he barely even reacted! "H-how did you know?" She stammered as he sat back and looked at the ceiling.
He then looked back at her. "The eyes Comrade." He said as he stood up and turned his back to her with his arms clenched tightly together. "They are the key to the soul." Then he took a breath before turning to face her. "Now, let me explain why you shouldn't do such things. For you see, we are no longer in the Storm Kingdom."
At this point, she could barely contain herself. Ugh! Why do I feel like I can't hide anything from him! "Wait... Then, where are we?" She asked as she hardened her gaze.
Once again, however, he seemed unfazed by her use of body language. "Now that is indeed a question I can answer." He regarded her with a small smile. "This, Comrade, is the Union of Soviet Socialist Equestrian Republics."
She cocked her brow in confusion as her anger seemed to be ebbed away by curiosity. "What does that mean?"
At this, he chuckled. "You will find out in due time. But for now, all you need to know. Is that it's the nation we are currently in." Then he walked back to the table and sat down. Wait, he mentioned Equestrian? "As for the Equestrian part, that refers to the former residents of this nation." As he said this, she could feel herself quiver at the thought.
"D-did you...k-kill t-them." She asked, her words filled with fear.
And once again, he burst out laughing. "Of course not!" He bellowed as he slammed his fist. Thank goodness! This guy is more spontaneous than Twilight- No, no! I don't want to think about them!
She breathed a sigh of relief. "Okay... Then, what happened to them?"
He seemed to ponder this for a moment. "Well, they are humans now." He stated matter-of-factly. "Because thanks to the reproductive advantage of humans. The Party felt it was a necessary shift to make."
As he said this, she felt herself blush when he mentioned reproduction. "Um, what's The Party?"
He sat up straight and locked eyes with her in an authoritative gaze. "The Party is our ruling body." He stated as he extended his hand towards the mural. Specifically, the massive tower that had a statue of the human she saw in the painting... On top of it? "That is their headquarters. It is known as the Palace of the Soviets. And the leader of the Party would be the General Secretary. And the leader of the Government is the Premier."
She nodded her head in understanding. "Yeah, I think I understand." She said as she suppressed a groan. And I think that this is all too familiar! I mean, just when I was starting to get it all together. Another ruling party shows up to throw a wrench into my life! She then cleared her throat as another thought came to mind. "So, when will I be able to outside?" And if I can, maybe I could try to get away.
He brought up his sleeve and pulled it back to reveal a watch. "Well, depending on how long it takes you to eat. We should be touring the city in less than an hour." He said as he covered it and relaxed his arm.
She gave him a smile in response. Yes! Then I can ditch him! Giving me back my wings was the biggest mistake they made- She was stopped in her mental rambling as she heard several clicks in her metal wing and back. And when she turned to Andrik, she saw he had a hand enveloped in a blue aura. Wait, humans have magic too!? "Wha-what did you do to my wing!?" She cried as she attempted to move the faux appendage. However, no matter what she tried, it refused to work.
Andrik gave an audible sigh. "Comrade, did you honestly think that we would be foolish enough to not have a failsafe?" He asked in a tired, somewhat sarcastic tone. "And, to answer your other question. What I did was sever the connection with your brain."
Void's eyes widened in fear. "Y-you can do that!?" She yelled as she searched for anything she could use as a weapon. Okay, that's IT! The first chance I get, I'm going to chop off his hands, and- Ugh, what am I saying!?
He just gave her an unsympathetic glare. Yes, and if you don't behave, I'll keep it that way. So, if you are going to continue being difficult. I will-" He stopped mid-sentence as they heard the door open.
In the doorway was a blonde-haired woman in a red uniform carrying two plates. "Here you are, Comrades." She said as she gave Andrik his plate.
"Thank you." Said Andrik as he prepared to eat.
When she came to give Void her food. She found she could not help herself and began to droll. As she took in the sweet smells of the various food items on the plate. Two slices of bread were covered in small see-through orange spheres and cottage cheese. Large, luscious eggs that were cooked to perfection. And small thick pancakes that filled half the plate. And were covered with the same toppings as the toast, except the spheres were red. "Wha-what is this?" Asked Void in her dazed state.
Which elicited a slight chuckle from Andrik and the waitress. "That, my good Comrade, would be rye toast. Topped with salmon caviar and cottage cheese. Premium, locally sourced eggs. And oladyi topped with red caviar." She said with a smile. Oh my gosh... "Well, I hope you enjoy it." Then, she proceeded to walk out of the room and close the door behind.
As soon as she was gone, Void began digging into her food. But, unlike before, she attempted to control herself and enjoy the food. All the while, Andrik ate his slowly. "And they say the way to a man's, or in this case, a woman's heart. Is through her stomach." He said as he grinned widely. And while she would usually respond with some form of re-tort. She could not help but feel content to just keep her mouth shut. Or rather, filled with food. Just because you gave me the best meal I've had, does not mean I'm not going to kill you!

Once Andrik and Void had finished their food, he tipped the waitress and led Void out of the dining hall. "Hm, that was good." Said Void as they left out the door, and Andrik turned and led her back towards the elevator. "Hey, uh, didn't you say we were going to go outside?" She asked with a cocked brow.
This caused him to pause. Great, now I have to explain this to a former pony. He sighed before turning to face Void. "We are, but first, you need to change. As not only is it -10° outside, but you're also wearing nightclothes." He stated in a matter-of-fact tone. Please don't press this.
Void continued to stand in place. "Uh, I don't understand. What do you mean nightclothes?" She asked confusedly. Well, there goes that idea.
He scratched the back of his neck. "Well, Comrade. What I mean is that what you are currently wearing is...inappropriate for going out in public." He said as he attempted to stop himself from sounding awkward. And he could feel himself heating up.
She now shifted her expression from one of confusion to one of understanding. "Ohh, now I get it..." She said as a slight blush appeared on her face.
Andrik breathed a sigh of relief as he felt the heat die down. "Yes. So when you go to your room. There is a closet filled with several different outfits. With instructions on how to put them on." He said. Hopefully, she understands.
Void, not realizing what he meant, adopted a look of confusion. "What do you mean by that?"
He proceeded to iron out his forehead in frustration and continue to look away from her. "Well, let's just say that do to you're...changed biology. It would be very embarrassing for both of us if you had a wardrobe malfunction." He said as he tried to prevent himself from going into more detail.
And once again, this caused Void to blush profusely in embarrassment. "O-oh, I-I d-didn't k-know..." She said as she held her arm.
He gave a thankful sigh before he strutted forward again."Yes, so let's just get you up to you're room, and you can change by yourself."
20 minutes later
Andrik sat at a table patiently outside the door as he waited for Void to finish. I hope she can do it...for both our sakes.
Maybe you should check on her?
No! I am NOT that kind of man. He fixed his suit so that his lieutenant rank shoulder boards were in the proper position. Besides, I'm sure she can- He stopped mid-mental debate as he heard the doorknob turn. And, when he turned to look at her, he was met with Void wearing a well-fitted grey sweater-jacket with a white-collar shirt underneath and a matching skirt. Her hair was slightly less messy than before, and she even had that cute, awkward smile. She is gorgeous! Of course, he covered up his true thoughts with a neutral expression. "I'm not sure how I feel about this..." She said as she sighed deeply. "But it's all I had in the closet-" She was cut-off by Andrik grabbing her shoulders firmly, and the moment he did this, Void froze in shock.
"You look just as you should." He said as he looked her directly into her panic-filled eyes. Her eyes are still as beautiful as I remember... He quickly shook himself out of his daze. "Now, I think you could use some time outside. Yes?" He asked, to which she nodded. "Then come." He then let go of her and turned to face away from her as he could feel the blood rushing to his cheeks.
"Uh...okay." She said as she cautiously followed behind him. "What was that about?" She whispered to herself.
Void Streak's POV
Once they had made it to the first floor, Andrik led Void to the packed entrance hall. This is beautiful... Void could not keep her eyes from looking at the splendour of the architecture. The large marble columns held up the roof all the way to the second floor. As the second floor ended in a balcony, with two staircases leading to the first floor. In the center of the roof was a large painting of humans and... Ponies? Waving red banners in what appeared to be a city. That looked very similar to Canterlot. Okay...I think I'm going to ask him about that picture later. And then she came to one of the three double doors, which Andrik held open for her. "Come Comrade, the city awaits." He proudly announced as she walked out the door.
"Wow..." That was all she could say as she was overwhelmed by the sheer scope of it all. The high-rise apartments stood like massive boxes, and clean streets looked like nothing she had seen before. With the tallest being the hotel, the top of which seemed to touch the sky. Whereas the base of it spread outwards. And in the distance, she could see the top of the Palace of the Soviets. But what shocked her the most were the various carriages that seemed to drive by themselves! "That mural barely does this justice." But then, she began to notice something...interesting. As she saw that there were different types of carriages. One looked like a large box with square windows placed on the side. Whereas the other was much smaller and sleeker in comparison, with windows shaped to the frame. And all of these being different colours. This is...overwhelming. And lastly, she noticed the people. She saw a good number coming in and out of the hotel. Another group being dropped off on her side of the road by one of the boxes. And she could see many others just walking on small paths built right next to the road or crossing it.
Then, she saw Andrik walk up beside her and outstretch his arms. "Welcome, Comrade! Welcome to Nova Stalliongrad!" He then pointed to a sleek, pitch-black carriage that was parked close to the hotel. "Come, I think you could use some fresh air." He said as he guided her towards it. Well, here goes nothing. And she followed cautiously behind him. I mean, it looks safe enough. Then, he opened one of the rear doors for her, and she stepped inside. Before sitting down on a small, but comfortable bench inside.
And then she saw him close her door before going around the other side and entering the front seat. "So, what now?" She asked as she fumbled around with what appeared to be a safety harness.
He turned his head to look over his shoulder. "Simple. You buckle up and enjoy the ride." He stated as he turned his head to face the window in the front. And after a few more moments, she managed to put the buckle in the lock.
Then, she heard what sounded like the roar of a dragon before it turned into a low hum. "What was that!?" She yelled as she ducked for cover, only to be stopped suddenly by the harness. Which caused Andrik to chuckle. "What's so funny!?" She glared into his back.
He then attempted to stop. "What's funny is that you freaked out over the engine being turned on!" He adjusted the small mirror that hung above him to see the frown on her face. "What? Am I not allowed to make jokes now?" He asked in a sarcastic tone as she felt the vehicle jolt forward. And it began to move onto the road proper, following another few vehicles ahead of it. And she could also feel it picking up speed as it did so, up to the point where she wanted so badly to feel the wind. So much so that she could not help staring at the city as they passed by. "Do you want me to roll down the window?"
"Huh?" She responded, barely registering what he had said.
He cleared his throat, which seemed to gain her attention. "I asked if you wanted me to roll down your window?" To which she enthusiastically nodded. "Alright, just...try not to do anything wired." Then she heard an odd zzz and saw as the window slid down. And when it did, she stuck her head out, and a smile graced her features as she suppressed the urge to yell in excitement. This is awesome! And, all the while, she did not notice as Andrik grinned in the mirror.
As they continued on their way through the city, Void could not help noticing how almost all the buildings, despite the difference in size and shape, all looked the same. Minus small touches like greenery and colour. As well as rows of buildings that were the same type ending in a road. And then there would always be a new block that would continue the pattern. "Uh, I was wondering, why does everything look so...cookie-cutter?" She asked as she stared out the now-closed window, as it had become too cold to keep it open.
Andrik once again adjusted the mirror to look at her. "Well, Comrade, the reason is quite simple. You see, due to how our society works, we like to keep things simple." He explained.
Void, meanwhile, keep her gaze fixed on these buildings. "Does everyone live in those? They look quite cramped."
This caused Andrik to chuckle slightly. "Yes, we do. And yes, they are." He answered in a blunt tone. "But, there's something good about living so close to your Comrades that always makes you feel warm. And, of course, each micro-district has its own school, shops, playground. And even a park." And even though Void could not see past the first few buildings on either side of the road. She could still imagine living in one of these blocks. Wow! That's gotta be a large crowd.
But then, her thoughts turned to that word: Comrade? Hey, now that I think about it, why does he seem to call everyone that? Then she turned to face the mirror. "Hey, why do you call me Comrade Streak? Like, what does that even mean?"
Andrik seemed to ponder his answer before she saw his eyes in the mirror. "What it means is a friend or colleague." He said as he attempted to look between her and the road. "And the reason I call you that is...more complex. You see, we believe that all are equal. So, as I'm sure you can imagine, we use that title for everyone. For example..." He paused as he carefully navigated around a large vehicle. "Instead of using Miss, Misses, Mister, or Sir, we use Comrade."
Okay... She then looked back out the window. "Yeah, I think I understand." She said as she put a hand to her chin. Huh, that's...actually kinda smart, I guess. At least simpler.
They continued the drive in silence as Void attempted to put together everything she had learned. When she noticed that they were slowing down. "Hey, why are we slowing down?" She asked curiously.
Once the car stopped, Andrik turned his head. "Because we've arrived." He stated as he threw her a long, linen, khaki coat with no visible buttons, a belt and a fur hat. "You might want to put these on." He then adorned a similar jacket, but he had the same odd shoulder and collar decoration as the suit he wore underneath. Whereas the one she was given had none. Then, he put on a khaki visor cap with blue lining and a gold oval with a red star in the center.
Once they were both dressed, they exited the vehicle. And when Void turned to see where they had stopped, she cocked her head at Andrik. "Uh, Andrik. Why did we stop at a micro-district?" She asked as she looked over the apartment buildings.
Andrik just chuckled and gestured for her to follow. "Well, I wanted to take you outside." He said as he led her through a small gap in between two buildings. And into a large, semi-wooded area that was surrounded on all sides by apartment blocks. In this area, she could see many paths, a few smaller buildings, a playground, and even a sports field. And one that appeared to consist of cubes that had been mushed together to form a single structure. She also beheld many people sitting on small benches or walking on the paths. It really does feel like a small village.
And then Andrik tapped her on the shoulder. "Huh-what?" She said as she was taken out of her daze.
He just shook his head. "Comrade, you should really pay more attention to your surroundings." He said in a sarcastic tone as he gestured over to a bench. "Come, sit." He then walked over to it and sat down.
She proceeded to stare at him for a moment before joining him on the bench. "Okay. So, why did you bring me here?"
Andrik seemed to ponder this for a moment before he turned to face her. "Well, I thought it would be a good idea to let you see this." He gestured to the area around them. "As I thought you would be interested in seeing how we live."
Great, he sounds like an egg-head. But on the other hoo-hand, it actually is kinda cool. "Well, yeah, I guess I am." She said with a shrug. "So...what are we going to do?"
Once again, he looked away in thought. "Well, why don't we go for a walk?" He asked as he stood up.
In response, she nodded and stood beside him as they both started their walk. "Anyway..." What's something I could talk about? "You could tell me about yourself?" She asked with an unsure-sounding tone.
This caused him to slow down, so he was beside her. "Well, what do you want to know?" He asked in his typical simplistic tone.
Well, what do I want to know? She pondered this for a moment. "Well...where were you born?"
His eyes seemed to become misty for a moment before he shook his head. And he had a smile on his face. "Well, I was born the 2nd eldest to Fayina Pavlova and Grigorii Pavlov in a flat in Borirsk. A small mining city in the north owned by Borirsk Dimond, Gurzovsky Engineering, and Sevozhdeny Manufacturing." He said as they continued.
Wait...what? That was all that came to mind as she heard him say this. "What do you mean your city was owned by...you know?"
Again he shook his head. "What I mean is that these corporations own all the jobs and land in the city." He stated matter-of-factly.
She looked at him with shock evident on her face. "That sounds horrible!" She blurted out.
Which caused Andrik to shrug. "It's fine Comrade, Besides, if my father hadn't worked hard enough, well... Let's just say I would still be living there." He, again, sated in an uncaring tone.
"Okay..." She said as she tried to hide her discomfort. What kind of place did I end up in? She then tried to think of another question. "You said you were the second oldest?" To which he nodded. "So, do you have any siblings?"
As she asked this, a small smile appeared on his face. "Yes, I do. In fact, I have seven. With my sister Sasha Pavlova being the oldest." He explained. That is a lot of siblings!
"Wow, you have...a big family." She said while trying desperately not to make it sound judgemental.
"Well, by our standards, it's actually not that big." He said as her jaw dropped and her eyes widened. "As I said before. Humans are quicker at reproducing than ponies." Upon hearing this, she turned away to hide the blush that had formed on her cheeks. What is it with these people and that topic!?
"I guess that makes sense." She said as she held her arm and avoided eye contact. Geez, I couldn't even imagine what that would be like. She turned back to face him. "Anyway, what do you do for a living any way? Other than being a stalker?" She added with an emphasis on stalker.
Andrik chuckled darkly before locking eyes with her. And where before, his eyes showed only kindness and compassion. Now they were grim and threatening, causing a chill to run down her spine. I think I just poked the bear... "I'll have you know. That without our intervention, you would still be sleeping in that cheap inn. Eating nothing but stale bread, dried meat, and dried fruit. With a high chance of dying. And, as so far as we can tell, there is no law to prevent someone from killing you in cold blood." He said in a darker tone than she was used to. Before he reverted back to his typical expression. "But, the important thing is that you are safe now. So, would you like some lunch?"
Void was taken aback by how suddenly Andrik had gone from dark and creepy to calm and polite. Okay, that is creepy. "Uh, sure." She said as she turned away, wanting to avoid having to see that again.
At this, even his slight grin came back. "Come Comrade, I'm sure we can find something in this park." He said as he headed towards a large two-story building near the center. And she cautiously followed behind him. "Look, I'm...sorry I scared you like that."
Void's heart nearly stopped as she registered what he had said. "W-what?" She stammered, unable to come up with a proper response.
He sighed before stopping and turning to face her. "I didn't mean to say it like that. As I should've known, you would react that way. So, I am sorry for my misconduct." He said as he stood up straight with his shoulders back and his eyes aimed at her's. In fact, to her eyes, he looked more like a soldier. "So...can you forgive me?"
And once again, Void's jaw went slack as she comprehended what he had said. Did he actually just ask me that? Void then hardened her gaze. "No, I won't." She said as she looked around for anything she could use to hit him with. "Will you forgive me for fillynapping you, messing with your mind, and threatening you?" Ugh, who does he think he is? But, when she looked back at him. His eyes seemed downcast, almost like he was disappointed.
He sighed as he closed his eyes. "I don't blame you, Comrade." Then, he reopened them. His eyes filled with steely resolve. "However, I hope that as we get better acquainted. You can find it in your heart to forgive me." This guy really needs to learn when to quit.
Void chuckled slightly in amusement before her expression turned sour. "Yeah, as if." She sated with venom as he stood and regarded her with his steely glare. But, before she could continue, her cheeks flushed with embarrassment as her stomach let out a low growl.
And he turned away briskly and began walking away. "Come Comrade, let's get your food." He said with a slight chuckle. Oh, it is ON! She bent over and picked up a sharp rock beside the path and threw it at him... Only for him to turn and catch it in his blue aura and toss it aside. "Comrade, I thought we've been over this? It's illegal to assault people with any sort of weapon... Including sharp rocks." He said in a calm tone as her jaw dropped. How did he- Wait...did he say illegal!? And her mind began to panic as she thought of all the horrible things that could happen to her. Could I be thrown in a dungeon for that!? Well, then again, I did try to kill him... But he deserved it! But then maybe- Her mind stopped the instant she came into contact with a large object. And when she looked up, she saw two sapphire blue eyes staring down at her with concern. Only now coming to realize the difference in size between them. Wow...even as a human, I'm still a head shorter than him- She paused again as she felt an arm on her shoulder. "It is alright, Comrade..." He then bent down and whispered in her ear. "I promise I won't tell anyone." He then stood up and began to walk away.
Leaving a very flustered and very confused Void as she held the shoulder that he had touched. "Just who are you?" She asked herself. After which, she shook her head and followed after him. I WILL find out, and when I do...I actually don't know what I'll do. But I know I'm going to find out!
A few minutes later and she found herself following Andrik into a small building. Once inside, she quickly figured it was some kind of small restaurant. As it was filled with wooden chairs and tables filled with many people. Including what she assumed to be human foals. As these were far smaller than all of those that she had seen so far. "Ah, there you are." Said a deep voice she instantly recognized as belonging to her kidnapper. She quickly turned and saw that he was sitting at a table by himself and was inviting her over. "Come, I have already ordered lunch." He said with a grin as she walked over and sat down.
But, before she could pull in her chair. Andrik stood up, walked behind her, and then pushed in her chair. This again? Then, he walked back to his seat and pulled out a newspaper that read: Union Daily at the top. As he did so, she got to look at a few of the headlines:
"Red Square Fashion to acquire Kuzma designs in a bid to root out competitors: Is this the beginning of a Fashion Revolution?"
"Kalibay or Belgodnoye: Which company has the better wheat?"
"Klilzhsky has announced a new car factory for Tokan Inc.: What does this mean for the proletariat?"
And this continued throughout the page, with small paragraphs following each headline. "Hey, watcha reading?" She asked as he lowered his paper.
He then put the paper on the table. "Well, Comrade, it's an economic paper." She cocked her brow. Huh? He cleared his throat upon noticing her confusion. "What it means is that it talks about the economic development of this republic. Or, in lamens terms, how something like how a corporation can affect a city and its people." He then pointed to the last title she had read. "For example, the city of Klilzhsky has made a deal with Tokan Inc. And, the paper is drawing you in by asking the question: How will this affect the proletariat? Or, in other words: The workers?" He explained as she tried to keep up with him. Why is everything so...complicated here? "So, do you understand?"
She proceeded to stare at him blankly. "Uh-huh..." She said as her mind drew a blank.
He chuckled before putting a hand on her shoulder, which caused her to snap out of her trance. And she stared at where she had been touched. "Don't worry, Comrade. You will understand in time." I-uh...
She could feel the blood rushing to her face as she shugged him off. "Y-yeah..." She said as she looked away and waited for the blush to subside. What the heck is wrong with me!? First, his stupid eyes get stuck in my head. And now I can barely think straight! Is it because he put a spell on me? Or is it because... She found herself blushing again as she thought over her previous interactions with him.
Or is it because no other guy has ever looked at you that way before? She shook her head.
No no! It has to be some kind of spell! There's just no way I would fall for the guy who fillynapped me, right? RIGHT!?
Come on. Stop lying to yourself.
I-I'm not lying. This to be a spell! As her mental battle continued. Andrik looked on with a concerned frown. However, before he could try to ask her what was wrong, the sound of footsteps. And he turned to see a gruff man wearing a black apron and grey work clothes holding a tray with one plate of Beef Stroganoff and a bowl of Sсhi soup. "Here you go, Comrades." He said as Void was taken out of her daze by the smell of the food. And he proceeded to place the Stroganoff in front of her and the soup in front of Andrik. Wow, that looks good. "Is there anything else I can get you, Comrade?"
He then turned to the waiter. "Yes. I would like two shots of vodka. And two shots of zakuski." He said as he relaxed in his chair. The waiter then nodded before walking back the way he came.
In the meantime, Void was examing her food. It's like the pasta I had that one time... But wired. She then sniffed it and absorbed the scent of the meat and noddles. Oh, that really does smell good. Then, she looked to Andrik, who was spooning the soup into his mouth. "Hey, what is this?"
He stopped and sat up. "Hmm?" He then looked to see she was pointing at her food. "Oh, that is Beef Stroganoff. It's good, trust me." Okay, here goes. She grabbed the fork she had been given and began to dig into it. As she did, she quickly realized he was right. Mmmm, this stuff is good!
Then, they both heard the sound of footsteps and turned to see that the waiter was back. This time, with four small shot glasses: Two filled with clear liquid and two that were filled with an icky green colour liquid. Huh? He then put them all on the table. "Thank you, Comrade. That will be all." Said Andrik as the man nodded and walked away. I wonder what those are? He then turned to face her. "Now, Comrade, allow me to explain." He began as he pointed to the clear liquid. "This is Vodka." He gestured to the green liquid-filled glasses. "And that is zakuski or pickle juice." He stated.
Void just stared at him in confusion. "And why would I drink that?" She asked as she pointed at the pickle juice.
He then began chuckling. "Because if you don't. You will probably have the worst hangover you ever had." He stated coldly as his joking manner drained away.
Void then glared in return. "You wanna bet?" She asked in a challenging manner.
He then began full-on laughing. "Is that a challenge I hear?" He asked.
Void stood up. "You bet your butt it is! Come on, you and me, drinking game!" She yelled as some of the other patrons began to look in their direction.
Andrik just cracked his knuckles and stood up. Staring down at her with unforgiving eyes. "Alright." He said quietly as his brow furrowed. "But I promise that you'll regret this!" He bellowed. Oh no, YOU will regret this!
Then the waiter came back as a crowd began to form. And Void began hearing excited whispers:
"Is that girl crazy? She just challenged a KGB agent to a drinking game!" Came one woman.
"Well, dear. That girl is either very brave or very stupid." Said the man beside her as he looked on with pity. Oh, come on! I can out-drink him!
"Isn't that one of the Premier's sisters'?" Asked another man as he scrunched his eyes at her. What does he mean by that?
However, this came to a stop the moment the waiter arrived. As everyone in the crowd watched in anticipation. "Comrades!" He announced as he looked between her and Andrik with worry. "Are you sure you want to go on with this?" He asked as he turned to Void with a pleading expression. To which she firmly nodded, causing him to solemnly nod in acceptance. Why is everyone worried about me? It's him they should be thinking about! He then turned to Andrik. "And what about you, Comrade Lieutenant? Will you allow this action?" As he asked this, everyone in the room seemed to hold their breath.
Andrik carefully finished his soup before razing his head. "Yes, I do." Said Andrik as the whole room then exploded in cheering. As the waiter went back to presumably grab more drink. Wow, this feels almost like one of Pinkie's... Ugh, no! But, before she knew it, Andrik was already holding his vodka.
She then reached for the vodka first. "Oh, it is on!" She bellowed as she was about to drink.
But, before she did, he cleared his throat and moved his glass closer to her's. "It is tradition to start with a toast." He stated with a smirk. Which caused some members of the audience to snicker or chuckle. Oh, I am going to wipe that smirk off your face! She then brought her glass to his as he yelled: "За нашу дружбy" – to our friendship! And they clinked their glasses together and drank.

Void Streak's POV
As Void began to stir, she felt as though she was unable to move. But, as she struggled, she managed to push the blankets off and sit up as her muscles protested every move with a shot of pain. As she opened her eyes, her vision began to swim, her mind dizzy and in an immense amount of pain. "Hmmm?" She moaned as she tried to rub the sleep from her eyes. Mind hurt. Once her vision cleared somewhat, she realized she was in a room filled with two couches, a table, a mirror and three doors. She also noted that the lights were turned off, and on one of the couches sat Andrik.
He stood up and walked over to her with a look of concern. "Ah, you're finally awake." He said quietly in a neutral tone as he sat down beside her. "How are you feeling?" He then put a hand to her forehead.
"I-I've been better..." She whispered as she could feel the bale shooting up her throat. "Uck, uh..." Her stomach then growled, and she began to feel nauseous. Ugh, I think I'm gonna be sick.
As he realized what was likely to happen next. He took Void off the bed and put her on his back. "Don't worry, I'll get you to the bathroom." He said as he used his magic to open the bathroom door and ran inside. "Alright, if you're going to get sick, please do it in there." He then carefully lowered her next to the toilet before starting to walk out of the bathroom. "Now I think I'll-" He stopped as he felt a weak tug on his pant leg.
And he turned to see Void with a pleading look. "P-please don't go... I-I don't feel good." She said in a strained tone as she turned back to the toilet. And she felt the bale rise again, knowing full well what was coming. "Ugh, bahhhhhh..."
As she got sick, Andrik put a comforting hand on her back. "It's going to be okay, Comrade. Deep breaths." He said as he felt her breath slow before she vomited again.
After spending over an hour in the bathroom, Void was aided back to the bed by Andrik. "T-thanks..." She said as she was laid back against the pillow.
Andrik shook his head. "You are welcome." He then knelt down so that they were at eye level. "But next time, just try not to challenge me to a drinking game." He said in a sarcastic tone. But, as he said this, she noticed that he seemed to have a longing look in his eye. Why is he looking at me like that?
She just shook it off as she was reminded of how dry her throat was. "Hey, could you get me a glass of water? I'm really thirsty." He nodded before he ran back to the bathroom.
Before he came back with a glass of water. "Now, I need you to look up and open your mouth. Do you trust me?" She nodded as he levitated the glass over to her. And slowly let her drink from the cup. I don't know why, but I kinda like this. She then chuckled as she thought back to the last time she was like this. And to think, the last time I was this hungover. I was bound to a mad stallion's wall.
Once she was finished, he moved it over to the nightstand on the far side of the bed. "Ah, that hit the spot. But, could you get me more water? Cause I'm still thirsty." She asked to which he nodded once again. And he walked over and grabbed the glass before heading to the bathroom.

This pattern continued throughout the rest of the day. As with Void having her hangover, Andrik had to care for her needs. Such as getting her water, food, or anything else she wanted. Not that I mind. After all, it's a way for me to show her how much I care. And thankfully, he was able to put her to sleep a few hours ago. And now, he was currently trying to call room service for dinner. "Hello?" He asked as the ringing stopped.
"Hello, brother. How's your girlfriend?" Asked a very familiar voice. Which caused him to groan.
"For the last time, Sasha, she isn't my girlfriend." He then creaked opened the door. And saw Void fast asleep beneath the covers. Yet. He then quietly closed it. "Anyway, she's fine. But earlier, she had some bad nausea." He then thought for a moment. "Hang on, isn't today your anniversary?"
"Oh, the poor girl. Well, serves her right for thinking she can outdrink my little brother!" She said as she began chuckling. "And yes, it is. But they wanted me for the evening shift."
He shook his head. "I see... But, you do realize I'm right here, you know?" He said seriously before breaking out laughing as he thought back to that crazy afternoon.

Andrik and Void stared at the other as they waited to see who would the first to fall. By this point, they had both drank four shots each. And, while he was feeling only slightly drunk. She seemed to be on the verge of collapse. "I told you, you were going to regret this." He said in a smug tone as he chugged another shot of vodka and pickle juice.
Void grabbed at her next glass and shakily brought it up to her lips. "O-oh yeh? Yu'll be the *hic* on to regret thish..." She slurred as she slammed the table with the glass. He then shook his head as he called for two more shots of vodka and one of pickle juice.
And when it arrived, he drank his vodka before gulping down the pickle juice. "Are you sure about that?" He asked as he lowered his glass.
She then chugged down ner shot and slammed the glass on the table. "You bet I'm sursh! Ju-just you wait..." She stopped as her head swayed forward before collapsing on the table.
The crowd that had been watching then exploded in cheers. As the waiter came up to Andrik and gave him the bill. "Thank you." Said Andrik as he read it over. Before pulling out 40 rubles and handing the cash to him. "Here you go."
The waiter then nodded as he took it. "Do you need a taxi? Or can you drive?" He asked as he looked between Andrik and Void.
Andrik chuckled slightly. "I think I can drive." He said as he stood up and walked over to Void's unconscious form. And the waiter left as he then picked her up and carried her out of the restaurant. As he walked, he noticed quite a few people giving him curious stares and gazes. Yeah, I'm sure I would do the same. He paid them no heed and headed for his ZIL-4112P. He then placed her in the passenger seat and buckled her in before going around and entering on the driver's side. He started up the car and turned on the seat warmer as he ran an affectionate hand through her beautiful rainbow hair. "You beautiful, stubborn girl." He whispered as he smiled before driving onto the road and heading for the hotel. "I still don't know how I find you all so cute."

Andrik pulled into his private parking spot before he teleported up to his room. "Alright, well...I guess you can go on the bed." He said as he took off her high boots, hat, and jacket and placed them on a mat and hanger by the door. "There we go." He then carefully levitated her onto the bed. Once that was finished, he walked over to her and... Why does she have to be so beautiful? He shook his head before tucking her in and bent down to pet her hair again. I have waited so long for this. He smiled again as he walked to the door, hung up his coat, and walked outside. And, when he saw it was clear, he began to pace. "At least no one had to see that... Well, except for the KGB." He chuckled as he said this. "Besides, it's not like I kissed her or anything." He then looked down and remembered he didn't take off his boots. "But I'm not sure about wearing boots inside. Now that was not good! But I guess this is one of the few times I would sacrifice my manners. After all, it's not like I'm going to walk through the whole hotel like that. I would never hear the end of it from Sasha." He found himself smiling as he thought of her. Oh, my sister, she may be annoying at times. But she has always been there for me, and I for her. He then chuckled again. "Heck, if it wasn't for my position, she would probably be raising a million kids while her husband worked in the mines with papa. And how does she thank me? By-" He stopped mid-rant as he heard someone clear their throat behind him.
And he turned to see a beautiful green-eyed blonde woman was standing behind him. And in her hands was a small suitcase. Speak of the devil... "By what?" She asked in a smirk as she walked up to him.
He took on a neutral expression as he straightened his tie. "How long were standing there for?" He asked as he folded his arms and glared at her.
"Long enough," She stated as she was now looking up at him. "So, she really is the one, hm?" She asked as she leaned upwards and gave him a side glance that screamed: I got you!
He shook his head. "Well, yes. And I'm sure you know why?" He asked as he stood firm.
She leans back and relaxes. "Is it that you are more interested in her, or is it just because she's one of them?" She asks as she gives him a questioning stare.
He sighs as he looks up at the ceiling. "Well, to be honest... She is the most interesting version of her that I've ever had the pleasure of knowing." He looks back at her. "But now I have a question for you." She nodded for him to continue. "What are you doing up here anyway? I thought you were a waitress at the restaurant only?"
As he finished, she began to chuckle. "Yes, I am. But today, I only had the morning shift." She then tried to calm down. "But the reason I'm here is that I'm renting a room for the night." She stated.
Andrik cocked his brow. "Why would you need to rent a room for tonight?" He asked as her eyes darkened.
Sasha then scoffed as she pinched the bridge of her nose. "Did you actually forget?" He took on a look of confusion which seemed to upset her more. "It's for my anniversary!" She yelled as his confusion turned into understanding. "And Dimitri and I are spending tonight and tomorrow together!" Ohhh... That makes sense.
He strokes his chin. "Oh yeah... I forgot that it's tomorrow." He said as he stared blankly at the ceiling before looking back at her. "Sorry." He finished as he thought of her husband. Yeah, I remember him. He nearly drank me under the table... Nearly.
She turned her back to him. "Yes, you better be sorry." She huffed as she began walking away. Wait a minute... Void is still wearing her day clothes...
His eyes widened as the realization struck, causing his cheeks to grow pink as he thought of the implications. Oh no... He then teleported in front of her, which caused her to freeze. "Wait!" He yelled before realizing she wasn't moving. And when he did, he cleared his throat as her shock wore off. "Look, I need your help." He stated as she recomposed herself. "You see, Void Streak has a bad hangover. And she needs help with changing into her nightgown."
She then smirked as she half-lidded her eyes. "Why can't you change her?" She said as his eyes widened and his cheeks flushed. "Hah, got you!" She bellowed as she broke out laughing. Andrik, however, did not seem very amused. "Oh, you should've seen the look on your face!"
He just waved her off. "Yeah, yeah, just laugh it up." He deadpanned as she continued. You know what? I'll just ignore her until she stops.
After about a minute, her laughing fit finally came to a close. "Okay, okay, I'll help you." She stated, still with a slight chuckle.
Andrik then nodded as he gestured for her to follow. "I hope you realize that that could get you in a lot of trouble." He stated in a calm tone as he led her into the room.
She chuckled. "Of course I know that-" She cut herself off as she came further into it and heard snoring. "She really is out like a light, huh?" She whispered as she stared at the bed and folded her arms. "Actually, now that I think about it. How did she get this drunk in the middle of the day?"
Andrik seemed to ponder his response for a moment. Now is probably not the best time to talk about that. He nodded at himself. "I'll tell you later. But right now, I need you to head to her room and fetch her nightgown." She shook her head before nodding nodded. "Here, it's her floor and room number." He grabbed a pen out of his jacket, wrote it down, and handed it to her.
She took it and put it in her suit pocket. "Alright, will that be all? Or would you like me to get her some new underclothes as well?" She asked with a smirk as he pinched the bridge of his nose.
He remained in that position. "Yes, just get going." He said as she gave a mock salute and walked out.
But, before she left, she turned to him. "Oh, and brother... I'm really grateful that you finally someone to love all these years." She said before turning back and walking out, before closing the door. Leaving him alone to contemplate what just happened. Wow, that has to be the most wired thing she's ever said to me. He smiled slightly, turned, and walked over to the bed. But, she was right about one thing. He partially removed the blanket and ran his hand through Void's hair. Which seemed to calm her snoring. And cause her to snuggle further into the bed. I do love you...
Present
Void Streak's POV
As Void began to awaken, she felt something firm sliding through her hair. Causing her to purr in contentment as she felt her nerves relax. Oh, what is that? It feels so...nice... But, the moment she began to open her eyes, she felt the sensation stop abruptly. When they opened, she noticed that the blanket was off her head. As she could see the rest of the room. The light was still off. And she saw Andrik sitting in a similar position as he was when she first woke up. "Hey, did something touch my hair?" She asked as he turned to face her.
He sat up as he waved dismissively. "I'm afraid I couldn't tell you." That's an odd answer. He then stood and walked over to her. "Do you want to get up? Or do you feel strong enough to do it yourself?"
She then smiled slightly. "Yeah, I think I can. But thanks for the offer." She got up and walked over to him. She then gave him a light punch to the shoulder, which he seemed to simply shrug off. "But you better not tell anyone about earlier. I wouldn't want anyone to get the wrong idea." She said as she folded her arms.
He shook his head and chuckled. "Of course, Comrade, my lips are sealed." He said as he sat back down. But, as he did, she noticed something she had not seen before: Two rows of various coloured ribbon sown in intricate vertical patterns. That was positioned on the left side of his suit. And each only in the form of small rectangles of colour, which ended abruptly before a new rectangle began, with no space between them. I wonder what those are for? "Anyway, dinner should be up in a few minutes. That is if you're up for it?"
Void blinked as she registered what he had said. "I guess? I mean, my tummy feels better." She said as she patted it. And, upon feeling nothing, she looked back at him to see that his cheeks had a slight pink glint to them. Is he okay? She shrugged it off and sat down across from him. And as she did, she was reminded of the colourful rectangles. "Oh, and I wanted to ask you," She paused as she pointed at them. "What are those for?"
He cocked his brow for a moment before he realized what she had just asked. "These?" He asked as he pointed to the ribbons, to which she nodded profusely. "Well, this one represents outstanding services rendered to the State and promoting friendship and cooperation between people and strengthening peace. And it is known as the order of Lenin." He said as he pointed to the top-right rectangle. Which had a red colour scheme with gold lines near each edge. I wonder how he got that? He then gestured to the next one. Which, while similar in colour, had a single gold line down the center. "This represents the order of Alexander Nevsky and is for officers who show personal courage and resolute leadership." And so it continued with him telling her what each one meant: The next was red with four thin purple strips called the order of the October Revolution. After that was a white, blue, red, and green one called the order of Friendship of Peoples. Why does that sound like something Celestia would come up with? Then there was a blue, white and cyan called the Medal of Ushakov. And, moving on to the second row: Was a yellow and white one called the Medal of Battle Merit and a green, white, red, yellow, black, and blue ribbon called the Medal For Strengthening of Brotherhood in Arms. "And that is what they mean," Andrik stated.
Void attempted to take in all she had just learned. Well, clearly, Andrik's been through a lot more than he was letting on. She pondered her response before her eyes widened in realization. Wait, a battle medal!? So is he some kind of soldier!? I mean, it would explain a lot, but at the same time, he doesn't seem like any soldier I've seen before! "So, you're a soldier?" She asked in a nervous tone, which seemed to gain no visible response from him.
Then, he gave a deep sigh. "Yes, I am." He answered in a neutral tone as he stared at her. But, as he did, she noticed something...different about his eyes. Rather than being filled with kindness, care, or any emotion at all, they seemed...distant, cold even. But she knew this expression well. After all, she could see it any time she looked in a mirror. It was the look of someone who had seen far too much. Why did I not see it before!? Or is he just that good at hiding what he's feeling!? She then folded her arms and turned away from him. Why did I even trust him!? I should've known!
However, her internal rant seemed to be more external than she would have liked. As she felt a hand on her shoulder, and she turned to see it was Andrik. "Leave me alone!" She yelled as she pulled her arm away and scowled at him with fear-filled eyes.
He, however, seemed more confused than upset by her actions. "Comrade, calm-"
She didn't even let him finish. "Oh, don't Comrade me!" She began as she walked back from him, her arm still firmly clutched in her hand. "You just tell me you're a soldier and expect me to be calm!?"
His expression then shifted to a more frustrated expression. "Why do you seem so scared of me when I've done nothing to you!?" He yelled in frustration. Did he really just ask me that!?
She glared him in the eye as tears began falling from her face. "Well, maybe if you were hog-tied, tortured, and plagued by nightmares of yourself becoming the pony torturing you, then you might understand!?" She screamed at him. But, as she did, she saw his eyes widen in shock before they shifted downwards and closed. "A-Andrik?" She asked fearfully, hoping that she hadn't broken him or stuck a nerve. Please don't become a psychopath and kill me.
At first, she saw no change in his expression. But then, just as she was about to tap him. She swore she could hear sniffling. And soon, that turned into crying as he fell to his knees. "I...didn't know..." He whispered as he looked up at her with tear-filled eyes. "Why didn't I know!?" He yelled as he looked up at the ceiling. Uh, what am I seeing?
She then wiped the tears from her eyes. "What do you mean you didn't know?" She asked with a cocked brow. Wait, if he doesn't know everything. Maybe, I can use this to my advantage.
He then shook his head, stood up, dusted himself off, wiped the tears from his eyes, and sighed deeply. "What I meant is that I didn't know you went through all that." He said in a tired tone.
Void then folded her arms and scowled. "Well, it's not like you could've done anything about it." She huffed in annoyance. But, if she thought she had struck a nerve before, this time, he seemed on the verge of breaking down. I was hoping to yell at him some more. But now I'm just confused.
Andrik then did something she did not expect. He reached forward, and before she knew it, she was entrapped in his arms. And when attempted to retort him. She was prevented from doing so as she felt him shiver. "No, we could've stopped them from hurting you if we were faster." He whispered in her ear, causing her to freeze in fear. Wait, so he was there? But how!? "If only we had known you were alive sooner." He then slowly backed off from her, tears still in his eyes.
Void quickly regained her composure. "So let me get this straight...you were following me the whole time!?" She bellowed, her anger not forgotten.
He sighed as he wiped away his tears. "Yes, I was." He began as he put a hand on her shoulder, which she shrugged off. "However, you would've had a high chance of dying. Which is something we could not allow."
Void considered what he had said, and her anger seemed to ebb away. Well, he does raise a good point. But there's one thing that's bothering me... She then took a deep breath and stared at him determinedly. "Why am I so important to you, huh? Why did you even track me down in the first place?" She asked with a cocked brow and an expectant scowl.
He didn't turn away from her, nor did he close his eyes. "Think." He stated his neutral tone.
Her eyes shifted to a look of confusion. "Think about what?" She asked.
Andrik's face showed no emotion, but his eyes betrayed a slight glint of... hope? It's hard to tell. "Think back to all of our previous interactions. Then, you might figure it out."
Void put a hand to her chin in thought. Okay, well...he got food for me. He was always polite and generous... He held the door open for me. He almost always seemed happy to see me for some reason. And I never had to pay for any- She stopped as her eyes widened in realization. Wait, was he- No! There's no way he could... She then looked up at him. His deep sapphire blue eyes seeming to glow in the dark as they stared down at her. A barely noticeable smile adorned his face. Which seemed to confirm her theory. Love me? She took another deep breath before slowly releasing it. "It's because you like me. Isn't it?" She asked with a firm and even tone.
Andrik blinked once, his eyes filled with hope as a frown grew on his face. "Yes, Comrade." He then stroked a loose hair back into place. "I've loved you for over two years..." He said in a soft tone. Uh, what!? How is that even possible!?
Void swiftly moved his hand away from her hair. "But how could you love me, you creep!?" She shouted. "You barely even know me!"
Andrik sighed again as he sat back down. He then looked up at her with a tired smile up as he gestured for her to take a seat. Which she did as she sat across from him. Alright, you better answer this one. He then seemed to relax. "I may not know you personally. But I know I love you regardless." So now he's a stalker and insane!?
Void looked at him as though he had sprouted wings from his head. "How does that make sense!?" She bellowed at his vagueness.
He did not even flinch at her outburst. "Because I met your sisters."
