A few days passed and the race day had finally come. Rainbow Dash was worried about letting her baby run, especially when she was blind.

"Oh Soarin, I don't know if I should let Snowflake participate in this race ..."

"I know I'm insecure about all this too but we have to respect our daughter's decision"

"I know but ... What if she gets hurt? I don't want to see her in a hospital bed, and if-" Dash was cut off by Soarin kissing her on the lips. A few seconds passed and the kiss broke.

"Don't worry, everything will be all right, our daughter will be fine," he said as he put a hoof around Dash and pulled her closer to him.

"I hope so..."

"Mommy, can we go now?" Snowflake said and her parents nodded

Rainbow Dash and Soarin landed with Snowflake on the Wonderbolt Academy race track, where all the invited ponies for the race were gathered.

"We all wish you good luck Snow" Fluttershy said

"Yes, don't worry Sugarcubbe you'll be fine" Applejack said

"Thanks guys ... I'll need it" Snowflake said

"Can we all get ready for this race right away? I want my children to win this race soon and prove they are better than this bat" Lightning Dust said

"I think it's good that you be careful with your words Lightning Dust! Because my daughter trained very hard with me!" Rainbow Dash said

"Yes, of course, but I don't think you knew this race is flying right?"

Dash's eyes widened, she obviously didn't know it would be a flight race, she thought it would be a normal race, just for running.

"You didn't tell me anything about being a flight race"

"I thought it was pretty obvious, wasn't it? After all our kids are pegasus, and pegasus need to fly. But from what I understand you don't even mind teaching your daughter how to fly like a normal catch."

"It's not that I don't care! I just care about her! You know very well that this can be very dangerous for a filly like her, I do care!"

"Yes we will see that in the race" with that Lightning Dust stepped away and went to her children at the starting line.

Rainbow Dash was desperate now, she never wanted to teach her daughter how to fly, and for good reason. She was blind, and because of that she could get hurt at any moment.

"Are you ok Dashie?" Soarin said as he approached Dash

"No, Soarin this race is flying. I've never taught Snowflake to fly, how will she participate in this race like that? She would have to leave the school where she studies because of it!"

"This is really a problem ... But don't worry I'm sure it will be all right"

"But that's not just what worries me ... I'm very afraid that she will be hurt by being blind, if anything happens to her I would never forgive myself." Soarin approached Dash and put a hoof around her. And hugged her

"Hey don't worry Dashie, I'm sure our daughter will be fine, she's a strong foal just like her mother. I'm sure she'll make it, just trust me"

"I hope you're right Soarin ..." Dash said as she snuggled into Soarin's chest

When the time came the race was about to begin. Both Lightning Dust and Rainbow Dash were preparing their children for the race.

"Look kids, all that really matters in this race is your victory! Now go and defeat the Rainbow Dash's daughter!" Lightning Dust said

"Right mom!" Thunder Bolt and Sandstorm said in unison

Rainbow Dash and Soarin were across the track comforting their daughter before the race started, she really needed it now

"Don't worry honey, we're sure you'll make it. Don't worry about what others say, know you're our Snow and we trust you because more than anyone else we know you very well and know the your potential "Soarin said

"Thank you Daddy..."

"Let's race is about to begin," Dash said as she left the track with Soarin, but not before hugging her daughter and placing a soft kiss on her head.

"All ready for the race?" Twilight said with a megaphone, and everyone nodded.

"Good Luck loser!" Sandstorm said

"We met you at the finish line, To celebrate our victory" Thunder Bolt said

"I think so ..." Snowflake said

"Very well ponies, 1 ... 2 ... 3! GO!" Twilight said

With that Thunder Bolt and Sandstorm quickly flew off the starting line, while Snowflake was trying to fly but couldn't.

Rainbow Dash saw her daughter's difficulty so decided to do something to help her.

"You can do it Snow!"

Soon after all the ponies that know and love Snowflake began to cheer and encourage her to fly.

With all this encouragement, she finally managed to get off the ground and began flying to try to reach the twins.

"That's my girl" Dash said with a tear in her eyes

The twins decided to take a break to rest.

"That bat will never beat us, we can sit here and sleep all day long and she will never reach us" Thunder Bolt said

"Yeah!" Sandstorm said with that they decided to take a nap

Snowflake was flying very slowly, perhaps because she has never flown or practiced before, and is blind.

She then unknowingly overtook the twins and was almost winning the race.

"But what are they doing? THUNDER BOLT, SANDSTORM WAKE UP! DO YOU WANT THAT BAT TO COME YOU ?!" Lightning Dust shouted

With that the twins woke up and tried to overtake Snowflake but it was too late she had already crossed the finish line.

"UHUHUHUH SNOWFLAKE YOU WON WE'RE SO HAPPY FOR YOU!" Pinkie Pie said

"You really deserved Darling!" Rarity said

"Thank you guys," Snowflake said blushing a little as all her friends came and hugged her and congratulated her.

"Oh Snow, your father and I are so proud of you!" Dash said

"Yes, I'm sure one day you will still be a great flyer" Soarin said

"So that's it? Did my children lose to a blind pony? I'd never think of something like that. So I guess now my children will have to leave school right?" Lightning Dust said

"That's what we all hope for," Dash said.

"No! They don't have to leave school, I just want them to stop disturbing me ... And I sincerely forgive them all," Snowflake said

"Snowflake you're so sweet, that's very noble of you" Twilight said

"Well if it's like that, okay my children will never disturb you disturbing you at school kid, and thanks for that, now let's go kids" Lightning Dust said as she flew her children away

"At least everything turned out well, everyone left happy" Starlight said
