The story begin in a temple near to the Crystal Empire, more precisely in the Frozen North of Equestria. Inactive since 5000 years, the temple begin to shine, a beam of light gushed from the ground; Air, earth, water, fire, light, vegetation, electricity, ice and dark matter join the ray of energy. The beam disappeared and a strange silhouette came out of the crater, a pony.“Where am i?” think the pony. “who i am?”

The pony look around and see snow and mountains. He yell and call for help, but nopony come. He decide to walk, hoping to found a village or a pony, but after hours of walking, he fall in the snow. “This is hopeless,” said the pony. “Nopony will come for me!”

But he see a shadow in the blizzard;“This is the Death”,he think. “She is coming for me.”He close his eyes, hoping a painless death. The shadow get closer.. and a voice said:“Don’t worry, you are saved...”

The Alicorn wake up in a warm, cozy, bed. He look around and see a shinning silhouette.“Where am i?”he think, am i to Heaven?”.

“No, you are alive,” say a sweet, beautiful voice. “You are in good hooves”.

“Who are you?” ask the pony to the voice.

“I am princess Celestia” answer the voice. “My mentor, Starswirl, found you in the Frozen North and brought you in my castle.” The pony look in the direction of the voice and see a majestic and tall mare: White, with a tricolor flowing mane, long horn, wings and a crown.

“You are the most beautiful thing i have seen” say the pony.

“Thank you for the compliment.” say Celestia with a smile.

The pony jump out of the bed and crash on the floor and Celestia have a laugh. She look at him an say:“You asked me about my name, but what is your name?”

“I don’t know who i am...” answer the pony. “I will call you...Sunrise Freezer! said the princess, because we find you in the snow and during the sunrise.”

“I love this name” he answer.

Sunrise look into a mirror and see his body. He have a blue sky mane, a white body, dark blue eyes, and a cutie mark illustrating a sun rising, blue and white. He estimated to be a colt, judging by his height.( Almost the same as Big McIntosh for compare)

“I am... what i am, Princess?” ask Sunrise. ”I am like you...but smaller”

“You are an Alicorn, said Celestia, the most powerful and the rarest race of ponies in Equestria. Alicorns have a huge amount of energy and magic in their horn... they are the fusion of the three races of ponies in the land: Pegasus, Unicorns and Earth ponies.”

“Cool!, said Sunrise, and in what the Alicorns are different from them?”

“Us, Alicorns, are Immortals and are the only ones to be able to rule this kingdom.” answer Celestia

Sunrise try to use his wings and his horn, but have some difficulties. “Follow me, Sunrise, said the princess, i will present to you the pony who found you.” The two Alicorns walk in the castle and arrive in a room with books, potions, magic artifacts and an unicorn.

“Starswirl, he is here.” said Celestia. The unicorn turn the head and see the two alicorns:

“Oh! i see you have recovered, and fast! I am Starswirl the Bearded, the mentor of Celestia and her sister, i taught to them how to use their power; Celestia by example, is able to control the sun and the moon.” (He take a breath and continue):

“Me and Celestia will teach you how to control the magic in you, said the unicorn, you have a powerful magic in you: the magic of the elements”.

“elements”?, asked Sunrise.

“The world is a combination of 8 elements, 9 if we count the ice. The water, the wind, the fire, the earth, the nature, the electricity, the light and the darkness... you have these elements in you. Be prepared, cause tomorrow, we will start your formation.” said Starswirl.

Sunrise is in a class, Starswirl is the teacher and begin to explain the lessons.

“You have to know the basics of magic before using it. My first lesson will be about the horn, it is the part of the unicorns and Alicorns body who can channel magic... you follow me, Sunrise?”. said Starswirl.

“Yes, my horn is what i need to use my magic; no horn, no magic.” he answer.

“Good, you learn fast.” say his teacher.

Starswirl show to Sunrise the many forms of the elements in the nature. He give to him a glass of water;

“This is water, Sunrise, the source of all life, you will have to master that element. Your first exercise will to transfer the water of this glass, to this empty glass there."

Sunrise try to put the water of the glass in the other glass. He make a void in his mind and succeed to lift the water out of the glass, and put it in the other glass.

“I did it!!! i did it!!” yelled the colt.

Starswirl look at him with a smile; "Now, try to transform the water in ice...” he said.

Sunrise visualize the water in his mind and transform it into ice; in front of him, the water in the glass was ice.

“You have learn the trick of the magic: the visualization. Now, you have to lift the ice in the glass and give him an other form.” said the unicorn.

Sunrise use his magic to lift the ice out of the glass and focus on the aspect of it. He transform the ice cylinder into a ice spear, a cube, a sphere and into a small statue of Celestia.

“I have succeeded, master”, say the Alicorn.

”He is incredible, thought Starswirl; he learn so fast my lessons, is time to boost the difficulty of my lessons...”

Later, the two ponies are in front of the falls;

“A glass of water is nothing, say the old pony, this is your final test: Reversing the current of the waterfalls... and ice the river.”

Sunrise fly to the bottom of the waterfalls and try to control the current direction. He fail..but he don’t give up and try and try again and again, all the night.

The next day, Starswirl are coming to the waterfalls to see his student progresses; he is astonished to discover the water of the river and the falls flowing in reverse side, more surprising, the water turn into ice and vice versa.

"Impossible! say the bearded pony, in only one night?”

Sunrise drop the water in the river and stop his magic, look at his master and fly beside him.

“Yes, Master! What is the next lesson?” he said to the old unicorn.

Starswirl look at him; Ten minutes later, Sunrise and him are in a desert.

“The next element you have to learn is the earth magic; Sand, rock, mud or gems, all of this matter are the variant of the earth. But now, your lesson is to succeed to create with the sand all the shapes and figures.” explained the Unicorn.

Sunrise look at the pictures and start to activate his magic. He create a pyramid, a pillar, a statue of Starswirl, a statue of Celestia, a wolf, a bird and a castle.

”I am proud of you, i think you are promised to an great fate.” thought the unicorn, with pride.

He teleport sunrise in the middle of a mountain and said to him: “Your next test will to lift those giants rocks.”

Sunrise lift all the rocks easily and throw them away, he even construct a golem.

”Hum..., he learn so fast, too fast...”Okay, now, you have to turn that rock into a diamond, it’s called transmutation.” told the old pony to him.

Sunrise visualize the rock and transform it into a diamond, Starswirl can't believe what he saw...

The next day, Sunrise was able to perfectly control the wind. One week later, He succeed to control the fire. Two week later, he was able to control the thunder, And 2 months later, Sunrise learnt all the elements. But Starswirl was worried his student can be tempted to use his powers to destroy the kingdom... he has to take a decision...

Two months have passed since Sunrise have finished his formation, and the young Alicorn started to be impatient. He was convinced he could learn more, and decided to find his life purpose in a travel beyond Equestria.

“Are you sure you want to leave the castle, Sunny?” said Celestia (she’s sad)

“It’s hard for you two, i know, you have done so much for me, but don’t worry, i’ll come back, i promise.”

Celestia hug his student, Starswirl give to him a present; “Take that with you Sunrise,” he said. (the object was a photo of them)

"I’ll always keep this photo with me,” he said.

”Be careful, Sunrise, say Celestia, the lands you will travel in are dangerous...”

Many days have passed since Sunrise have left Canterlot, and was in a place called Badlands. The Alicorn decide to take a break.

”I am hungry, thought sunrise, maybe i should have took more food...”

He hear a scream. ”Somepony is in danger, i have to save him!!!” Thought Sunrise.

Sunrise flew to the sky for a better vision of the land, he discover that these screams seem to came from the West. He teleport himself to the place where the screams came from.

“What the hay...? I used a teleportation spell? Cool!.” he said.

He look around him and see a temple. He decide to enter in.The temple was dark and creepy, but Sunrise was decided to find what this temple contain... after a few minutes, he arrive in a room illuminated with torches and horrible decorations.

” What is that place,” he thought.

He see a strange chest in the center of the room, a black, metallic chest, with a skull-shaped lock.

”No!, don’t open it! This chest have a skull on his top and he is black... he said to himself.

Sunrise decide to examine the metal chest and touch it; the chest open, he look inside and see nothing. Suddenly, a shadow appear in front of him and this shadow take the form of the Alicorn.

“Thank you for saving me!”, said the shadow, with a creepy voice and a evil smile.

“Who are you and why did you take my appearance?” ask Sunrise.

The shadow laugh and float around him; “i am you, Sunrise, i am you, i am the darkness in your soul.”

Sunrise throw to the shadow a fire ball, but he avoid it.

“You can’t hurt me, i am your shadow, Sunrise Freezer, i am...Night Freezer!!! and today, you and me are now one!!!”

Celestia is in her chamber and take a nap. A guard break into her room;

”Your Highness! the town is attacked!” told the guard.

”What is happening?” asked the princess to him.

"It’s Sunrise, princess, i don’t know why he attack us, we have to protect you!!! he said

Celestia fly out of the castle and see Sunrise fighting Starswirl.

“Stop, Sunrise, we are friends! what is wrong with you!!! Yelled Starswirl.

Sunrise break the magic barrier of his opponent. “I am Night Freezer!!! Sunrise was just a shell, you don’t even know for what i was created! you taught me how to use my power, you trusted me and now, i will reduce your pathetic kingdom to ashes!!!!!” he said with a evil laugh.

“Never!, I won’t let you destroy Equestria!, I know you can hear me, Sunrise!!! you have to fight him!!!” said the princess.

(Night Freezer look at her); "Celestia...”, he said.

He remember the time spent with her and the fun moments they passed together, His voice change;

“Princess, Master! you have to banish me! i can’t hold him much longer, hurry!you have to do it now!." said Sunrise.

“No! i won’t banish you! I’ve already lost my sister!!, i won’t lost you!!!” yelled the princess to him.

Starswirl begin to cast a banishment spell; “He’s suffering, princess, but I’m sure we can find a way to save him later!”. And he casts the spell on Night Freezer...

"No!!!! You can’t banish me, I am Invincible!!!” said Night before he disappear in the portal and turned into a statue

[the world of Equestria Girls- 1000 years later]

Sunset Shimmer is in math class, She trying to solve a mathematical problem.

”Crap, maybe i should’ve studied instead of visiting princess Twilight. By the way, i still surprised she is actually the leader of Equestria.” Sunset begin to be annoyed and fortunately for her, the bell rings. She comes out the class and send a message to her friend with her cellphone: « Join me at the portal after the classes»

Sunset is waiting at the Canterlot High School statue and playing a game on her phone.

“Sunset!! Said Twilight, we’ve got your message, something wrong is happening?”

Rainbow Dash arrives, followed by Pinkie Pie, Fluttershy, Applejack, Rarity and Spike.

“Why did you call us, Sunset?, I was making a make-up to a friend.” said Rarity.

“I called you because some accident happened everywhere in the town since a few days: Vegetation going crazy and uncontrollable, abnormal sea level rise, earthquakes, strong winds, people being stroked randomly be lightnings, abnormal heat and cold,” Explain Sunset in showing to them the photos of these accidents...

“Yes, I have noticed too, something bad is coming...” Said Twilight.

“Do you think these accident are caused by Equestrian magic?" Asked Applejack.

Sunset look at her and said: “It’s possible, After all we have seen, that not will be surprising.

“Personally, girls, i don’t want to meet another crazy powered magic villain trying to destroy us”, said Fluttershy.

“Me too, but if is Equestria magic, i am sure we encounter the responsible of that chaos soon.” said Rainbow.

The group is going to Pinkie Pie house for one of her «Slumber Party»Sunset is looking around her and her friends if something threaten them, but nothing suspect happened. In Pinkie’s room, the girls watch a horror movie, except Fluttershy, who decided to give to Spike a walk.

“I know you just walking me because the movie is too scary, Am i Right?” said Spike with a smile.

“Yes, but I love walking in the evening, it’s calm and relaxing....” she answered.

Sunset and the other heard Fluttershy screams and run out of the house and see vines trying to hurt Fluttershy. Rainbow Dash use her speed to save her friend of the tentacles, and Applejack pulls them off the ground.

”What are theses things,” said Twilight.

The plants disappear and the girls are hit by a strong wind...” It’s definitely equestrian magic, elemental magic!” said Sunset.

They hear a laugh coming from nowhere:

“You are very smart, Sunset Shimmer”, said the voice.

“Who are you?!” Asked Sunset.

And From the darkness emerge a boy .. Same age than them. “You can call me.... Night Freezer!"

Night Freezer is facing the mane 7 and smile at them.

”What do you want?”, asked Sunset Shimmer.

Night look at her and laugh.”What i want it's destroy this city and their citizens, i know is not Equestria, but you will serve to me as a training before i do it!” said Night Freezer when he use his powers to unleash a storm on on the city.

“He will destroy our city in a few hours if we don’t stop him! Let’s go girls, it’s hero time! Rainbow, use your powers to shelter the civilians.” she said.

“Yes Mam!!”, answered Dash

Sunset said at Fluttershy: “You too, Fluttershy, go with Rainbow dash! and Applejack,Twilight, Pinkie pie and Rarity will stay with me to bring him down!”

The girls attack Night, but he counter any of their attacks. “Oh, come on!!!, you really thinking that your pathetic powers can actually hurt me?! you have zero chances, i am a god, i am unbeatable!” he said. Sunset run toward him and touch his arm.

Sunset read his memories; She see Celestia, Starswirl and sunrise having a good time together. She see the moment Sunrise used his powers, when he was corrupted... and finally, when he was banished in their world on the form of a statue. Sunset come out of her trance and face Night Freezer.

“WHAT DID YOU DO TO ME?” yelled Night, visibly confused and pissed.

“I read your memories, i know why you act like that, you have to stop! You’re not Night Freezer, you are Sunrise Freezer!" she told to him.

Night laugh and say: “no, i am Night Freezer, and you can’t stop me!”

Suddenly, Sunset have an idea and text Rainbow dash; She received the message:« Bring the principal Celestia where we are, i have a plan,». Dash run to the school and said: ”Sorry Principal Celestia, but we need your help...”

The principal drink her coffee; “What?, why? she asked.

“I’ll explain that on the way!” She say while she brought Celestia in super speed mode.

During that time, Night continue to destroy the town, the girls was exhausted and hurt.

“He is too strong!! The only way we can beat him is while using our magic Rainbow beam on him!! but we have to weaken him..." said Applejack.

Rainbow Dash came with the principal Celestia on her back. "Hey, special delivery for Night Freezer!" she said

“Why did you brought the Principal here, Rainbow Dash?! said Applejack.

“It’s my idea, Applejack, I read his memories; he loves Celestia, she is our only way to weakening him and save his soul!!” answered Sunset

Night see Celestia in front of him and said: “Celestia it’s really you?”

“Yes, i am Celestia, i missed you so much...please, let these girls save you and we will be together again,”

(Night’s voice change to Sunrise one) “Princess Celestia... I am sorry for what i have done to you and Starswirl, but you can’t save me...” he said.

Sunrise feel his evil counterpart come back: " Stop!!” she’s not the Princess, she lie to you!”said Night with his voice.

“Maybe not her... but we can! Girls, shoot him at full power!!

The seven girls start to Pony-Up. The magic essence of Fluttershy, Rarity, Rainbow Dash, Applejack, Pinkie Pie, Twilight Sparkle and Sunset Shimmer create a magic rainbow beam.. Night use his powers on them, but they are countered.

“What is that magic?! why you are half-ponies!!?” You can't beat me?! Said Night with fear and rage.

Sunset smile and said: “This is the magic of Friendship!!! a magic you never learned!!”

They unleash the beam on him, a rainbow tornado wrap Night. A light beam illuminated the sky and he disappear. The smoke dissipated and the girls approach of the crater. They see Sunrise laying on the ground, semi conscious.

“What was happened to me, I have the feeling that i was possessed by an evil force. Wait, that what happened to me!, I should never open this chest..(he look at the girls) and i never thought i can be saved...thank you, to all of you! “said Sunrise.

He look at Celestia, “Are you.. princess Celestia?” he said.

“No, and yes, i am Celestia, but not the one of your past... if you need my protection, i am here for you.” she answered.

Sunset help him to get up, Sunrise look around him and see the damages he have done to the town, he feel guilty.

”This magic you use on me is really powerful... I want to learn it!

Sunset smile at him: “If you want to learn the magic of Friendship, we can.” Pinkie pie hug him and the others girls too...

“You are not alone anymore, Sunrise, said Celestia, you have friends all around you”.
