Tangled Thorax x Twilight Sparkle version

This is a tale of a beautiful princess named Twilight Sparkle who has been locked away in a tower since she was captured as a baby by an old hag. Her magical long purple hair has the power to provide eternal youth and the evil Gothel uses this power to keep her young. At the age of 18, Twilight becomes curious about the outside world, and when a prince uses her tower as a refuge, she asks him to help her escape.

This is my new story, I hope you all will enjoy it and also I don't own Tangled, the songs or the images they belong to Disney and my little pony belongs to Hasbro.

Prologue

The camera zooms into a tree showing a wanted paper with Thorax in it

"This is the story of how I died. But don't worry this is actually a very fun story and the truth is it isn't even mine. This is the story of a mare named Twilight Sparkle and it starts with the sun. Now once upon a time a single drop of sunlight fell from the heavens and from this small drop of sun grew a magic golden flower it had the ability to heal the sick and injured" said Thorax.

Then an old mare walked to the flower.

"Oh you see that old mare over there? You might wanna remember her she's kind of important"

Then the camera shows a large kingdom.

"Well centuries past and a hop skip and a boat ride away grew a kingdom. The kingdom was ruled by the beloved king and queen. And the queen well she was about to have a baby and she got sick, really sick"

The ponies began looking for a cure for the queen.

"She was running out of time and that's when ponies usually start to look for a miracle. One in this case a magic golden flower"

The camera goes back to mother Gothel.

"Ah I told you she'd be important. You see instead of sharing the suns gift this mare mother Gothel horded it's healing power and used it to keep herself young for hundreds of years and all she had to do was sing a special song"

Mother Gothel : Flower gleam and glow let your power shine make the clock reverse bring back what once was mine what once was mine.

After Gothel sang that song she became young.

"Alright you get the jess she sings to it and she turns young creepy right ?"

Then Gothel heard some voices coming so she hid the flower with a cover but she accidentally knocked it over when she turned away and a stallion royal guard spots the flower.

"We found it!"

Then two royal guards carefully picked up the flower and brought it back to the kingdom and Gothel was looking at them.

Back in the castle the flower was placed in a tea.

"The magic of the golden flower healed the queen. A healthy baby filly a princess was born with beautiful purple hair"

The queen picks up Twilight and nuzzles her then the king placed a tiara on her head and she laughed.

"I'll give you a hint that's Twilight Sparkle"

Then the king and queen launched a flying lantern into the sky.

"To celebrate her birth the king and queen launched a flying lantern into the sky for that one moment everything was perfect. And then that moment ended"

Mother Gothel: Flower gleam and glow let your power shine make the clock re-

When mother Gothel cut Twilight's hair with a scissor she noticed that it stopped glowing and she became old again, she became shocked and she grabbed a bag and she used it to put Twilight in there.

The king and queen got woken up by the crying of their daughter and when they looked they saw that their daughter was being held by somepony wearing a suit with a hood on then the pony disappeared.

"Gothel broke into the castle stole the foal and just like that gone. The kingdom searched and searched but they could not find the princess but deep within the forest in a hidden tower Gothel raised the foal as her own"

Three years old Twilight Sparkle: Save what has been lost bring back what once was mine what once was mine.

"Gothel had found her new magic flower but this time she was determined to keep it hidden"

"Why can't I go outside ?" Asked the three years old Twilight Sparkle.

"The outside world is a dangerous place filled with horrible selfish ponies. You must stay here where your safe, do you understand flower?" Asked mother Gothel.

"Yes mommy"

During the night, Twilight was walking down stairs and she snuck past her mother and she opened the doors to the tower and looked at the beautiful night sky with beautiful flying lanterns.

"But the walls of that tower could not hide everything. Each year on her birthday the king and queen released thousands of lanterns in the sky and hope that one day their lost princess would return"

One day in a forest.

There were two purple coloured dragons one was an adult and one was a small baby.

The mother of the small baby dragon was running away from a monster while holding her son but eventually she ran to a dead end but she saw a small leaf small enough to put her son in there for him to escape.

So she picked him up from her back and nuzzled him in the face then she placed him on the small leaf and she pushed him away, when Spike looked to his mother he saw that the monster had ate her which made him sad and shocked.

1 hour later

Spike had sailed to shore in the middle of a storm with some injuries and when he woke up he saw a huge tower so he stood up and walked over to it.

After walking on the slippery and muddy ground the made it to the tall tower and he was a bit afraid to go inside but then a lightning strike made him jump so he began climbing the tower.

Once he got to the top he opened the towers door and he lost his consciousness in there because of his injuries.

Three years old Twilight Sparkle: Flower gleam and glow... Let your power shine... Make the clock reverse... Bring back what once was mine... Heal what has been hurt... Change the fate's design... Save what has been lost... Bring back what once was mine... What once was mine...

When Spike woke up he saw that he was wrapped in hair and when he looked up he saw a purple coloured filly, then he shook the hair off himself and looked at her with a scared face.

"Don't be afraid Mr dragon your safe now" said Twilight as she grabbed a purple cloth button and showed it to him"Here it's yours"

When Spike saw the button he quickly hid.

"It's a gift" said Twilight as she placed it on his head which made her laugh.

Then he took it off himself and Twilight extended her hoof out to him and he climbed on her shoulder"Your all alone huh ?" Twilight asked.

Spike nodded sadly.

"So am I most of the time if you want you can stay with me and neither of us will be alone ever"

When Spike heard that he nuzzled her cheek and Twilight laughed.

After Spike and Twilight became friends they cooked together, played chess together, playing sword fighting with some tools and they climbed with her hair and every year on her birthday the two of them open the tower doors and look out at the beautiful night sky with beautiful flying lanterns while wearing birthday hats.

This is my new story I hope all of you will enjoy it and also I'm a fan of this Disney movie Tangled which inspired me to do this story.

Also I do not own Tangled or the series or my little pony.

Tangled and the series belongs to Disney and my little pony belongs to Hasbro.

15 years later

In the tower Twilight was playing hide and seek with Spike and he hid outside of the tower and near a flower pot "Hah!" Yelled Twilight opening the tower doors then she saw Spike near the flower pot hiding so she pretended that she didn't see him "Well I guess Spike's not hiding out here" as she walked back inside.

Then Spike laughed from that but Twilight grabbed him from his leg using her hair and held him upside down "Gotcha!" Yelled Twilight which made him jump.

"That's twenty two for me" Said Twilight as she lowered him down from her hair "How about twenty three out of forty five?"

Then Spike gave an irritated look at her.

"Okay well what do you want to do?" She asked.

Then Spike pointed outside with his claw.

"Yeah I don't think so" Said Twilight as she pulled him back to her from his tail "I like it here so do you"

Then Spike gave another annoyed look at her.

"Oh come on Spike it's not so bad in there" Said Twilight grabbing Spike and she walked back into the tower.

She opened the towers top window with her hair and began doing some work.

Twilight Sparkle: 7 AM the usual morning line up. Start on the chores and sweep till the floors all clean. Polish and wax do laundry and mop and shine up. Sweep again and by then it's like 7:15 and so I'll read a book or maybe two or three. I'll add a few new paintings to my gallery. I'll play guitar and knit and cook and basically just wonder when will my life begin.

When Twilight looked in front of her she saw a perfect place for her to draw, so she went up there and began drawing.

Twilight Sparkle: Then after lunch it's puzzles and darts and baking. Paper-mache a bit of ballet and chess. Pottery and ventriloquy, candle-making. Then I'll stretch maybe, sketch, take a climb, sew a dress. And I'll re-read the books if I have time to spare. I'll paint the walls some more I'm sure there's room somewhere. And then I'll brush and brush and brush and brush my hair stuck in the same place I've always been. And I'll keep wondering and wondering and wondering and wondering when will my life begin? And tomorrow night... The lights will appear... Just like they do on my birthday each year... What is it like, out there where they glow?... Now that I'm older, mother might just... Let me go...

In the kingdom

There were three stallion thugs on the castle roof and the leader is Thorax. Once Thorax reached the top he was looking at the view from the top of the castle.

"Wow I could get used to a view like this"

"Thorax come on" Said one of the thugs.

"Hold on" Said Thorax raising a hoof "Yep I'm used to it, guys I want a castle"

"We do this job you could buy your own castle" Said the thug grabbing Thorax and he tied him with a rope and they lowered him down to a tiara which belonged to Twilight.

When the stallion guards were guarding the tiara one of them sneezed "Achoo!"

"Oh hay fever?" Asked Thorax putting the crown in his satchel.

The guard turned his head a little and said "Yeah" as he turned back.

Then his eyes widened and when he turned around he saw that the crown was stolen by the changeling and the two thugs "Wait, wait. Hey wait!"

Then Thorax and the two stallion thugs got off the castle's roof and ran away from the kingdom "Can't you picture me in a castle of my own? Cause I certainly can. Oh, the things we've seen and it's only eight in the morning. Gentlecolts this is a very big day"

In the tower

Twilight was packing her paints with Spike "This is it. This is a very big day Spike. I'm finally going to do it, I'm going to ask her"

"Twilight! Let down your hair" Mother Gothel yelled to her outside the tower.

Twilight gasped when she heard her mother then she looked at Spike and said "it's time" .

Spike stood a brave pose.

"I know. I know. Come on don't let her see you" Said Twilight putting Spike near her painting and he hid then she went to the tower doors.

"Twilight, I'm not getting any younger down here"

"Coming mother" Said Twilight as she lowered her hair.

Once the hair was on the ground near mother Gothel, she grabbed it and Twilight pulled her up.

Once mother Gothel was in the tower Twilight said "Hi, welcome home mother"

"Oh Twilight. How you manage to do that every single day, without fail, it looks absolutely exhausting darling" as she rubbed her cheeks.

Twilight giggled and said "Oh it's nothing"

"Then I don't know why it's taking so long hahaha! Oh darling I'm just teasing" Said mother Gothel as she walked up to a mirror.

Twilight chuckled and said "All right... so, mother. As you know tomorrow is a very big day"

"Twilight look in that mirror" Said Gothel as she pulled her close to her in the mirror "You know what I see? I see a strong, confident, beautiful young lady"

Twilight giggled from hearing that.

"Oh look your here too. Hahahaha, I'm just teasing, stop taking everything so seriously." Said Gothel as she began looking at herself in the mirror.

"Okay, so mother. As I was saying, tomorrow is a-"

Twilight was cut off when Gothel said "Twilight, mother's feeling a little run down. Would you sing a song for me dear? Then we'll talk"

"OH! Of course mother"

Then Twilight placed a chair near the fire place of the tower and she placed a smaller chair next to the big chair. Then she sat Gothel down on the chair making her "Oh" In return.

Then Twilight gave Gothel her hair brush and sat on the small chair and began singing "Flower gleam and glow, let your power shine, make the clock reverse, bring back what once was mine"

Twilight was singing really fast and Gothel said "Wait" But she was still singing "Heal what has been hurt, change the fate's design. Save what has been lost, bring back what once was mine"

Then Gothel became young again and Twilight's purple glowing hair stopped glowing "Twilight!"

"So mother earlier I was saying that tomorrow was a really big day, and you didn't really respond, so I'm just going to tell you it's my birthday tomorrow!" Said Twilight as she hugged her mother.

"No, no, no can't be, I distinctly remember your birthday was last year" Said Mother Gothel as she pushed Twilight's hoof away.

"That's the funny thing about birthdays" Twilight chuckled "They're kind of an annual thing" She continued.

"Mother I'm turning eighteen and I wanted to ask, what I really want for this birthday. Actually what I want for my--" Said Twilight as she was once again cut of by Gothel.

"Twilight please stop with the mumbling. You know how I feel about the mumbling. Blah, blah, blah... blah it's very annoying. I'm just teasing your adorable I live you so much darling" Said Gothel as she patted her head gently.

Twilight was looking on the ground sadly then she saw Spike hiding near the fireplace and he told her to tell her about what she wants for her birthday.

"Oh I want to see the floating lights" Twilight finally said.

"What?" Asked Gothel as she put the apple back in her basket.

"Well I was hoping you would take me to see the floating lights" Said Twilight revealing her drawing a little.

"Oh you mean the stars?" As she looked back into her basket with her groceries.

"That's the thing" Said Twilight as she grabbed the top door of the tower with her hair and pulled it open "I've charted stars and they're always constant but these they appear every year on my birthday mother. Only on my birthday and I can't help but feel that they're, they're meant for me. I need to see them mother and not just from my window but in pony. I have to know what they are"

When Gothel saw the painting that Twilight drew she turned to the tower doors and said "You want to go outside? Oh why Twilight" As she closed the tower doors.

Mother Gothel: Look at you as fragile as a flower. Still a little sappling just a sprout. You know why we stay up in this tower.

Twilight Sparkle: I know but.

Mother Gothel: That's right, to keep you safe and sound, dear.

Then mother Gothel closed the tower's covers and continued.

Mother Gothel: Guess I always knew this day was coming knew that soon you'd want to leave the nest. Soon, but not yet.

Twilight Sparkle: But.

Mother Gothel: Shh, trust me pet, mother knows best.

When Gothel said those words the tower became dark and Twilight was holding a candle on her hoof.

Mother Gothel: Mother knows best, listen to your mother it's a scary world out there. Mother knows best one way or another, something will go wrong, I swear ruffians, thugs, poison ivy, quick sand, cannibals and snakes the plague.

Twilight Sparkle: No!

Mother Gothel: Yes.

Twilight Sparkle: But.

Mother Gothel: Also large bugs.

Twilight Sparkle: Ahh!

Mother Gothel: Stallions of pointy teeth and stop no more you'll just upset me. Mother's right here, mother will protect you, darling here's what I suggest, skip the drama stay with mama mother knows best hahaha.

Then mother Gothel turned off all the candles with her flowing cape and the tower became dark again.

Mother Gothel: Mother knows best, take it from your mumsy, on your own you won't survive. Sloppy, underdressed, immature, clumsy please they'll eat you up alive.

Twilight Sparkle: Ahh!

Mother Gothel: Gullible, naive, positively grubby. Ditsy and a bit well hmm vague. Plus I believe getting kinda chubby. I'm just saying cause I love you, mother understands, mother's her to help you all I have is one request.

When Twilight turned around she saw her mother and she sighed in relief and ran up to her and hugged her.

"Twilight"

"Yes?"

"Don't ever ask to leave this tower again"

Twilight looked down sadly and said " Yes mother"

"I love you very much dear"

"I love you more"

"I love you most" as she kissed her forehead.

Mother Gothel: Don't forget it, you'll regret it. Mother knows best.

Then Gothel climbed down the tower with her hair "I'll see you in a bit my flower"

"I'll be here" Twilight said sadly.

The chase and finding the tower

In the forest.

Thorax and the two stallion thugs were running away from the royal guards from the kingdom and they were running in a forest but then Thorax stopped near a tree trying to catch his breath after running and he has the satchel wrapped on him then he noticed something sticked on the tree and it was two wanted papers one has him on it and one has the two thugs on it.

Then he grabbed the wanted paper with his face on it and said "No, no no. This is bad, this is very very bad, this is really bad. They just can't get my muzzle right" Said Thorax showing them the paper with a worried look on his face.

"Who cares?" Asked one of the thugs.

"Well it's easy for you to say" Said Thorax looking at the other paper with the two stallion pony thugs "You guys look amazing" He continued them he heard something behind him and he saw five royal guards and a horse.

Then Thorax and the three thugs ran deeper into the forest but then they ran into a dead end.

"Alright, okay. Give me a boost and I'll pull you up" Thorax said to them.

"Give us the satchel first" Said one of the thugs extending the hoof for him to give him the satchel.

"What? I just... I can't believe that after all we've been through together, you don't trust me" Said Thorax.

Then the two thugs gave him and annoyed look.

"Ouch" Said Thorax as he gave him the satchel with the crown in it.

Then Thorax climbed on the two thugs and he got to the top "Now help us up pretty boy" Said the thug extending his hoof out to him.

"Sorry my hooves are full" Said Thorax showing them the satchel that he just took from the thug then he ran away.

"What?" Said the thug searching the satchel anywhere on him but it was really stolen by him "Thorax!"

Then Thorax made a right turn and kept running and the five royal guards and the horse kept chasing him.

"Retrieve that satchel with any force" Said the royal guard leader.

"Yes sir" Said the other guards as they aimed they're bow guns at him and fired but Thorax managed to dodge them by sliding under a tree making the arrows hit the tree.

Thorax was running in the forest dodging arrows and jumping over trees. The other guards couldn't make it over the other tree but a royal guard and a horse managed to jump over it.

"We got him now Maximus" Said the royal guard as he and Maximus ran quicker.

Then Thorax jumped and grabbed a vine and he swinged and kicked the guard off his horse then Thorax sat on the horse "Heeyah!"

When Maximus saw Thorax sitting on his back he immediately stopped and turned around and glared at him "Heeyah! Come on flea-bag, forward"

Then Maximus saw the satchel and he tried to grab it with his mouth but Thorax pulled it away from him "No. No. Stop it" Maximus managed to grab the satchel and Thorax tried to push him head away but then they accidentally threw it on a tree branch which lead down to a long fall.

Thorax and Maximus ran to grab the satchel but Maximus got ahead of Thorax so he grabbed his front hoof and made him fall, but then Maximus grabbed Thoraxes back hoof and made him fall when he got ahead of him.

Then they got to the tree branch and Thorax climbed over Maximus but he was clinging on the bottom of the tree branch, Maximus tried to step on his hooves to make him fall and Thorax just kept crawling on the tree branch away from him then he grabbed the satchel "Haha"

But then there was a creaking noise and when they looked behind them the tree branch was cracking then it broke and they fell to the ground, then the tree branch got smacked by a rock on the hill which caused the branch to split in half and making them split up then they fell to the ground.

When Maximus fell on the ground he spat some leaves out of his mouth and stood up and began looking for Thorax by sniffing.

Thorax was hiding behind a rock and when he saw Maximus walking away he immediately turned but he accidentally hit some leaf vines which created some noises and attracted Maximus so he immediately hid behind the tree vines and Maximus went to see if Thorax was there but he saw nothing so he turned away and resumed his search.

When Thorax walked out of the cave he saw a tall and beautiful tower but then he heard Maximus behind him so he immediately used arrows to climb the tower.

Once he was in there he closed the tower doors and sighed in relief. Then he took the satchel off him and looked at the crown in it.

"Alone at last"

Then Thorax was smacked in the back of his head by Twilight with a frying pan knocking him out.

"Ahhhh" Yelled Twilight as she hid behind a manikin.

Then she approached the stallion changeling while pushing the manikin and used her frying pan to poke him but he didn't respond which made Twilight worried then she looked at Spike but he just shrugged cause he doesn't knows who he is.

Then Twilight tilted his head a little with her frying pan and looked at Spike and he assumed that he was a monster.

Then she checked his teeth and she noticed that he wasn't a bad guy and began inspecting him suddenly his eyes shot open, when Twilight noticed that she immediately knocked him out with her frying pan again.

Twilight then wrapped her hair around the stallion changeling and dragged him to the closet, once she got there she opened the closet and tried to put him in there but she failed the first time, the second time she threw him in there with her hair and she succeeded but she got her hair stuck and she sighed in annoyance, the third time she managed to put him in there but he fell on her, the fourth time she used a broom stick to put him in there, then she placed a chair at the handle of the closet and she managed to lock him in there.

"Okay okay I got a pony in my closet. I've got a pony in my closet I've got a pony in my closet! Too weak to handle myself out there huh mother? Well tell that to my frying pan" As she spinner it around and accidentally hit herself with it in the head.

Then Twilight noticed something shiny in the satchel and when she took it out she noticed that it was a round shiny object, she put it on her hoof and looked at Spike but he shook his head, then she looked through the crystals but Spike shook his head again, after that she placed the crown on her head and she looked in the mirror and Spike had wide eyes but he still shook his head.

"Twilight! Let down your hair"

When Twilight heard her mother she immediately hid the crown in a pot and went to the tower doors.

"One moment mother" said Twilight as she lowered her hair to her mother.

"I have a big surprise" said Gothel as she grabbed her hair with her hooves.

"Uh I do too" Said Twilight pulling her mother up to the tower.

"Oh I bet my surprise is bigger"

"I seriously doubt it"

"I brought back parsnips. I'm going to make hazel nut soup for dinner, your favourite surprise" Said Gothel stepping inside the tower.

"Well mother there's something I want to tell you"

"Oh Twilight you know I hate leaving you after a fight especially when I've done absolutely nothing wrong" Said Gothel putting her groceries on the table.

"Okay I've been thinking a lot about what you've said earlier-"

"I hope your not still talking about the stars"

"Floating lights, and yes I'm leading up to that" Said Twilight walking up to the closet where she put Thorax in.

"Because I really thought we'd dropped the issue sweetheart"

"No mother I'm just saying you think I'm not strong enough to handle myself out there" Said Twilight trying to remove the chair from the closet.

"Oh darling I know your not strong enough to handle yourself out there" Said Gothel looking at her.

"But if you just-"

"Twilight we're done talking about this"

"Trust me--"

"Twilight"

"I know what I'm--"

"Twilight"

"Oh come on--"

"Enough with the lights Twilight. You are never leaving this tower ever!" Gothel yelled.

Twilight then looked sad and she removed her hoof from the chair.

"Oh great. Now I'm the bad guy" said Gothel sitting on the chair and placed her hoof on her head to calm down.

Twilight then looked at her painting then she looked back at her mother and said "All I was gonna say, mother is that I know what I want for my birthday now"

"And what is that?" Gothel asked.

"New paint. The paint made from the white shells you once brought me"

"Well that is a very long trip Twilight, almost three days time" said Gothel opening her eyes and looking at her.

"I just thought it was a better idea than the, uh, stars" Twilight said slowly.

Gothel sighed and walked up to Twilight and said "you sure you'll be alright, on your own?"

Twilight hugged her and said "I know I'm safe as long as I'm here" Said Twilight and Hotel kissed her forehead.

Then Twilight packed some apples in Gothel's basket and she gave it to her and Gothel climbed down the tower with her hair.

"I'll be back in three days time. I love you so much dear"

"I love you more" said Twilight.

Then Gothel waved goodbye to Twilight and she waved back and Gothel left.

Twilight then turned around and aimed her frying pan at the closet, she removed the chair from the closet and hid behind it. She took a deep breath and said "okay" as she threw her hair to the closer and she pulled it open and the stallion fell on the floor on his muzzle.

Twilight then slowly walked up to him and placed him on the chair and wrapped him in it with her hair.

Spike climbed on the green coloured changeling's face and slapped him and he got scared but he was still unconscious, then he slapped him multiple times with his tail but he was still not awake, then he placed his claw in his ear and he immediately woke up and Spike was knocked off his face.

"Ahh!" Yelled Thorax as he woke up.

Then he looked around him and when he looked down he saw that there was purple hair and it wrapped him in the chair.

"He tried to struggle free but it didn't work "Is this hair?"

"Struggling. Struggling is pointless" said a female voice.

"Huh?"

Then he heard some hoof steps on the ground "I know why your here and I'm not afraid of you"

"What?"

Then the mare revealed herself and Thorax saw a purple alicorn mare with a beautiful long purple hair "Who are you?And how did you find me?" The mare asked.

Thorax was silent for a moment.

"Who are you? And how did you find me?" She asked again raising her frying pan.

Thorax cleared his throat and said "I know not who you are nor how I came to find you but may I just say hi" as he made a handsome face.

Twilight said nothing but kept looking at him holding her frying pan.

"How are you doing? My name's Thorax. How's your day going huh?"

Twilight shook her head and said "Who else knows my location Thorax?" Asked Twilight aiming her frying pan near his face.

"Alright miss purple"

"Twilight Sparkle"

"Alright here's the deal. I was in a situation, gallivanting through the forest. I came across your tower and.. Ho oh oh no where is my satchel?" Asked Thorax looking around the tower.

"I've hidden it. Somewhere you'll never find it" said Twilight.

Then Thorax looked at a pot to his left.

"It's in that pot isn't it?"He asked.

Then Twilight knocked him out with her frying pan again.

After a while Thorax woke up again and he saw that Spike had his claw in his ear again "Ah! Will you stop that"

"Now it's hidden where you'll never find it" said Twilight crossing her hooves proudly.

Twilight then uncrossed her hooves and walked around him "So what do you want with my hair? To cut it?"

"What?"

"Sell it?"

"No! Listen the only thing I want to do with your hair is to get out of it literally"

"Wait you don't want my hair?" She asked.

"Why in Equestria would I want your hair? Look I was being chased I saw a tower and I climbed it end of story" said Thorax.

"Your telling the truth?" Twilight asked again.

"Yes"

"Hmm"

Then Spike looked at him in the eyes which made Thorax uncomfortable.

Then Twilight talked with Spike quietly.

"I know I need somepony to take me. I think he's telling the truth too. Doesn't have fangs but what choice do I have?"

Thorax tried to struggled free again but it didn't work.

Twilight sighed and said "Alright Thorax I'm prepared to offer you a deal" as she walked to the painting.

"Deal?" Thorax asked.

When Twilight walked to the painting Thorax fell on his muzzle on the ground then Twilight pulled the covers away from her painting.

"Do you know what these are?" Asked Twilight.

"You mean the lantern thing they do for the princess?"

"Lanterns... I knew they weren't stars" Twilight said to herself "Well tomorrow evening they will light the night sky with these lanterns. You will act as my guide and take me to these lanterns and return me home safely then and only then will I return your satchel to you that is my deal" said Twilight.

"Yeah" Thorax grunted turning himself around in the chair "No can do unfortunately the kingdom and I aren't exactly, simpatico at the moment. So I won't be taking you anywhere" He finished.

Twilight then looked at Spike and he punched his claws together.

Then Twilight dropped down on the ground and pulled him close "Something brought you here Thorax. Call it what you will fate, destiny"

"A horse" He told her.

"So I have made the decision to trust you" Twilight told him.

"A horrible decision really"

"But trust me when I tell you this" as she placed her hoof on the chair and looked at him face to face "You can tear this tower apart brick by brick but without my help you will never find your precious satchel"

Thorax cleared his throat and said "Let me get this straight I take you to see the lanterns, bring you back home and you'll give me back my satchel?"

"I promise. And when I promise something I never ever break that promise. Ever"

The two of them were silent for a moment but Thorax broke the silent and said "Alright listen I didn't wanna have to do this but you leave me no choice here comes the smolder"

When Thorax said that he made a smolder face but Twilight and Spike kept looking at him.

"This is kind of an off day for me this doesn't normally happen. Fine I'll take you to see the lanterns"

Twilight gasped and said "Really?" As she took her hoof off the chair and made Thorax fall on the floor again.

"Oops" said Twilight looking at him on the ground with an apologetic look.

"You broke my smolder" Thorax said slowly.

After the interrogation

Thorax was climbing down the tower with the arrows he used earlier when he got in there and he was going to bring Twilight to see the lanterns then he looked up at Twilight and said "You coming Twilight?"

Twilight hanged her hair around a handle of the exit of the tower and was about to slide down to the ground while holding her frying pan.

Twilight Sparkle: Look at the world so close and I'm halfway to it. Look at it all big do I even dare?

Then Twilight looked back at her drawing.

Twilight Sparkle: Look at me there at last I just have to do it. Should I? No. Here I go.

Then Spike wrapped himself around his stomach with Twilight's hair and gave her a thumbs up to say that he is ready.

Then Twilight threw her hair down on the ground and She slid down to the ground and Thorax avoided her by leaning himself in the tower.

Once Twilight nearly reached the bottom she grabbed onto her hair and slowly placed her hooves on the soft grass and she was laughing.

Twilight Sparkle: Just smell the grass, the dirt. Just like I dreamed they'd be. Just feel that summer breeze. The way it's calling me.

*Splash*

Twilight Sparkle: *Gasp* for like the first time ever I'm completely free.

*Birds chirping*

Then Twilight ran to the exit of the cave

Twilight Sparkle: I can go running and racing and dancing and chasing and leaping and bounding. Hair flying, heart pounding and splashing and reeling. And finally feeling, that's when my life begins.

*Birds chirping*

"I can't believe I did this. *Gasp* I can't believe I did this. I can't believe I did this!" Twilight said repeatedly but then she realized something "Mother would be so furious"

"That's okay, what she doesn't know won't kill her right?" Said Twilight sitting on a rock in a pond holding a pond flower.

"Oh my gosh. This would kill her" said Twilight in a cave and Thorax looks at her with an irritated look.

"This is so fun!" Yelled Twilight running down a grassy hill and kicking some leaves and some of them fell on Thorax so he just rubbed them off.

"I am a horrible daughter, I'm going back" Said Twilight leaning her head on a tree.

"I am never going back!" Said Twilight rolling down a grassy hill and wrapping herself with her hair "Woohoo"

"I am a despicable pony" Said Twilight lying on a grass field next to Thorax.

"Woohoo! Best day ever!" Yelled Twilight swinging around a tree with her hair.

*Twilight crying*

When Thorax saw Twilight sitting and crying he cleared his throat and said "You know I can't help but notice you seem a little at war with yourself, here."

"What?" Twilight asked removing her hooves away from her face.

"Nah I'm only picking up bits and pieces of course. Over protective mother, forbidden road trip I mean this is serious stuff. But let me ease your conscious, this is part of growing up, a little rebellion, a little adventure that's good healthy even" said Thorax and Spike climbed on him but he pushed him off.

"You think?" Asked Twilight wiping away her tears.

"I know your way over thinking this trust me, dies your mother deserve it? No. Would this break her heart and crush her soul? Of course. But you just got to do it."

"Break her heart?" Twilight asked.

"In half." Said Thorax grabbing a grape from a tree.

"Crush her soul?" Twilight asked again holding her hair nervously.

"Like a grape." Said Thorax crushing the grape he was holding.

"She would be heart broken"

Then Thorax helped her up and said "I am. Aren't I? Oh bother. Alright I can't believe I'm saying this but I'm letting you out of the deal"

"What?" Twilight asked looking at him.

Then Thorax grabbed her frying pan and dragon and said "That's right but don't thank me. Let's just turn around and get you home. Here's your pan here's your dragon." Said Thorax giving them back to her and lead her back to her home "I get back my satchel, you get back a mother, daughter relationship based on neutral trust and viola! We part ways as unlikely friends."

Then Twilight pushed herself away from him and said "No, I'm seeing those lanterns."

"Oh come on! What is it going to take for me to get my satchel back?" Thorax asked getting frustrated.

Then Twilight pointed her pan at his face and he back away a little "I will use this." Said Twilight glaring at him then there was a noise in the bushes behind him.

Twilight gasped and climbed on Thorax's back "Is it ruffians? Thugs? Have they come for me?"

Then a cute little rabbit came out of the bushes and looked at them "Stay calm, they can probably smell fear." Said Thorax looking at her on his back.

Twilight got off his back embarrassingly and said "oh hehe, sorry, guess I'm just a little bit, jumpy"

"Probably be best if we avoid ruffians and thugs, though." Said Thorax.

"Yeah, that probably be best." Twilight said embarrassingly.

Then Thorax had something in mind and then he said "Are you hungry? I know a great place for lunch."

"Where?"

"Oh, don't you worry. You'll know it when you smell it" Said Thorax dragging Twilight to the restaurant by her frying pan and she followed.

In the other side of the forest

Maximus was still finding Thorax by sniffing out for him. Then he saw a paper on a tree and when he looked at it closely he saw that it was Thorax, he placed a hoof on the paper and glared at it then he ate the paper.

Then Maximus heard some noises near him so he hid behind a rock and pulled a tree branch to cover his face.

Once the noise got closer he jumped out of his hiding spot but instead of Thorax he saw a mare in a flowing cape and she jumped from that.

Maximus then sighed in annoyance.

"Oh a palace horse. Where's your rider?" Then something came into her mind "Twilight. Twilight!" Said mother Gothel turning around running back to the tower and Maximus looked at her with a puzzled look.

Once Gothel made it back to the tower she said "Twilight, let down your hair." But she got no response so she called her again "Twilight?" But still no response.

Then Gothel ran to the side of the tower and opened a secret entrance in the tower. Once she was in the tower she looked for Twilight everywhere but she wasn't anywhere she must've assumed that she got out.

Gothel was wondering where she could've gone to but a shining glow shot into her eyes and when she looked at the glow she saw a shiny object in the stairs.

She lifted the stairs a little and saw a satchel, she grabbed the satchel and opened it and she noticed that it was a crown and she immediately dropped it on the ground, she checked if there's anything else in the satchel and she saw a paper and it said.

WANTED

DEAD OR ALIVE

THORAX THE CHANGELING

Then she opened a drawer and grabbed a sharp knife.

Snuggly duckling and I've got a dream

In the forest

Thorax was leading Twilight to the restaurant "I know it's around here, somewhere. Ah there it is the snuggly duckling." Said Thorax showing her the restaurant in front of them.

"Don't worry, very quaint place, perfect for you. Don't want you scaring and giving up on this whole endeavor now do we?"

"Well I do like ducklings." Said Twilight.

"Yay"

Then Thorax opened the door to the snuggling duckling and said "Garcon, your finest table please"

Twilight gasped when she looked inside because there were many big stallion thugs in there and they were looking at them.

Twilight aimed her frying pan at them and Thorax slowly pushed her inside "You smell that? Take a deep breath through the nose." Said Thorax as he took a deep breath "Really let that seep in. What are you getting? Because to me, it's part man smell and the other part is really bad man smell. I don't know why, but overall, it just smells like the colour brown. Your thoughts?" He asked.

Spike hid behind Twilight's hair because he was afraid of the thugs.

Then one of the thugs grabbed her hair and said "That's a lot of hair." And Twilight was pulling her hair away from the stallion thug.

"She's growing it out, Is that blood on your moustache? Twilight, look at this, look at all the blood on his moustache. Look sir, that's a lot of blood."

When Twilight was backing away she accidentally bumped into one of the thugs back and the thug growled at her "Hey, you don't look so good Twilight. Maybe we should get you home and call it a day. Probably be better off. This is a five star joint after all and if you can't handle this place, well maybe you should be back in your tower" Said Thorax dragging Twilight to the exit but one of the thugs closed the door and he placed a wanted paper on the door.

"Is this you?" Asked the thug.

Then Thorax slowly removed the thugs hoof from the paper and saw that the paper has him in it and his nose was long "No, no this is being mean."

"Oh, it's him alright. Gretel go find some thugs" Said the hook hoofed thug.

"On it." Said Gretel running to find some thugs.

"That reward's going to buy me a new hook."

Then another thug grabbed him and said "I can use the money."

"What about me? I'm broke." Said a thug with a hat holding him and many thugs began stealing him.

"Boys stop!" Said Twilight.

"We can work this out." Said Thorax but the thugs were surrounding him.

"Hey leave him alone." Said Twilight trying to get through them but she couldn't cause they were too big.

"Gentlecolts, please." Said Thorax but one of the thugs covered his face with his hoof.

"Give me back my guide, ruffians." Said Twilight hitting the thugs with her frying pan but it didn't work.

Then one of the thugs swinged his hoof and was about to hit Thorax, when Twilight saw this she wrapped her hair on a handle on the roof and pulled her hair.

"Not the nose, not the nose, not the nose!"

Then Twilight broke the handle with her hair and the handle fell on the hook hoofed thug and the rest of the thugs looked at him in shock.

"Put him down!"

Then the hook hoofed thug turned around and glared at her "Okay, I don't know where I am, and I need him to take me to see the lanterns, because I've been dreaming about them my entire life." Said Twilight as she took a deep breath from talking too fast "Find your bright side. Haven't any of you ever had a dream?" She finished.

Then the hook hoofed stallion thug unsheathed his axe on his back and walked up to her and said "I, had a dream." Said the thug as he threw his axe to a wall over a stallion with an instrument and had a ball chain on his hoof and he began playing his instrument and Thorax was looking at him while being hanged on his back.

Hook hoofed thug: I'm malicious, mean and scary. My sneer could curdle dairy. And violence-wise, my hooves are not the cleanest. But despite my evil look and my temper and my hook. I've always yearned to be a concert pianist.

*Piano playing*

Hook hoofed thug: Can't you see me on the stage performing Mozart. Tickling the ivories till they gleam. Yep I'd rather be called deadly for my killer show tune medley. Cause way down deep inside I've got a dream.

Thugs: He's got a dream. He's got a dream.

Hook hoofed thug: See, I ain't as cruel and vicious as I seem.

When the hook hoofed thug was playing the piano he accidentally hit a thug next to him and he fell on the ground.

Hook hoofed thug: Though I do like breaking femurs. You can count me with the dreamers. Like everybody else I've got a dream.

The thugs were dancing to the song and Spike was next to two dancing rats and they asked him to join them dance but he refused.

Outside of the snuggling duckling. Mother Gothel heard some singing in the restaurant so she decided to go see what was going to in there.

Thug with hat: I've got scars and lumps and bruises. Plus something here that oozes. And let's not even mention my complexion. But despite my dirty hooves and my muzzle. I really want to make a live connection. Can't you see me with a special little mare. Rowing in a rowboat down the stream. Though I'm one disgusting blighter. I'm a lover, not a fighter. Cause way down deep inside I've got a dream. I've got a dream.

Thugs: He's got a dream.

Thug with hat: I've got a dream.

Thugs: He's got a dream.

Thug with hat: And I know one day romance will reign supreme. Though my face leaves people screaming. There's a foal behind it dreaming. Like everypony else I've got a dream.

Thug: Toll would like to quit and be a florist. Gunther does interior design. If is into mime. Attila's cupcakes are sublime. Bruiser knits. Killer sews. Fang does little puppet shows.

Hook hoofed thug: And Vladimir collects.ceramic unicorns.

Then the thugs looked at Thorax and asked "What about you?"

"I'm sorry me?"

"What's your dream?" Asked the thug with a hat as he grabbed him and placed him on the floor.

"No, no, no. Sorry boys, I don't sing." Said Thorax then the thugs pointed swords at him.

Thorax: I have dreams like you. No, really just much less touchy-feely. They mainly happen somewhere warm and sunny.

Then Thorax grabbed Vladimir's ceramic unicorn and placed it on a sand.

Thorax: On an island that I own. Tanned and rested and alone. Surrounded by enormous piles of bits.

Twilight Sparkle: I've got a dream.

Thugs: She's got a dream.

Twilight Sparkle: I've got a dream.

Thugs: She's got a dream

Twilight Sparkle: I just want to see the floating lanterns gleam. And with every passing hour I'm so glad I left my tower. Like all you lovely folks, I've got a dream.

Thugs: She's got a dream. He's got a dream. They've got a dream. We've got a dream. So our differences ain't really that extreme. We're one big team. Call us brutal, sick, sadistic and grotesquely optimistic. Cause way down deep inside we've got a dream! I've got a dream, I've got a dream, I've got a dream. Trouble at the dam

After the song Gretel came back into the snuggling duckling and said "I found the guards."

Then they all turned around and Thorax pulled Twilight and they hid underneath the counter.

Once the stallion royal guards came in they pushed Gretel out of the way and said "Where's Thorax? Where is he?" As he and his men began looking around.

"I know he's in here somewhere. Find him, turn the place upside down if you have to!" Said the guard slamming his hoof on the counter where Thorax, Twilight and Spike hid.

When the leader of the royal guards was gone, Thorax took a peek and saw the two other thugs that he worked with in hoof cuffs and he immediately hid back under the counter.

Then the hook hoofed thug placed his hook near them and they looked at him and he pointed to the right. Then he opened a secret passage in the restaurant.

"Go. Live your dream."

"I will." Said Thorax.

"Your dream stinks. I was talking to her."

"Thanks for everything." Said Twilight as she and Thorax went into the underground passage.

"I believe this is the stallion your looking for." Said the thug holding a short stallion.

"You got me."

"Sir there's not sign of Thorax." Said one of his men.

Then they heard a noise from outside and when the door opened they saw Maximus "Maximus."

Then Maximus began sneaking around the restaurant and pushed some thugs out of his way.

"What is he doing?" Asked a royal guard but his leader covered his mouth with his hoof.

Then Maximus pointed at a lever on the counter but the guards were confused. Maximus sighed in annoyance and pushed the lever revealing a secret passage.

"A passage. Come on men let's go." Said the Royal guard leader as he and his men began going into the secret passage "Corman, make sure those stallions don't get away."

When the royal guard heard his captain he glared at the two stallions and pointed his weapon at them, but then the eye patched stallion head-butted him and used his weapon to uncuff him and his friend.

"We'll go get the crown." Said the other thug as he and his friend walked into the secret passage as well.

Mother Gothel was looking at the two thugs and the secret passage from outside the window.

Then the small stallion thug came out of the snuggling duckling while singing "I've got a dream, I got a dream. I-" then the small stallion took notice of mother Gothel "Ohhh, somepony get me a glass. Because I just found me a tall drink of water."

Gothel laughed and said "Oh stop it, you big lug." Then she pointed her knife at his nose "Where does that tunnel lead out?"

"Knife." Said the stallion nervously.

Thorax and Twilight were walking in the tunnel and Thorax was lighting their way with a small lantern.

"Well I gotta say,I didn't know you have that in you back there, that was really impressive." Said Thorax.

"I know!" Twilight yelled, then she walked and acted normally and said "I know"

Twilight then looked at him and asked "So Thorax. Where are you from?"

"Whoa, whoa sorry Twilight I don't do back stories. However I'm becoming very interested in yours, now I know I'm not suppose to mention the hair."

"Nope."

"Or the mother."

"Ah ah." As she shook her head.

"Frankly I'm too scared to ask about the dragon"

"His name is Spike"

"Here's my question though. If you want to see the lanterns so badly, why haven't you gone before?"

Twilight then froze on that question "Uh hehe, well." Twilight was going to reply to him but a rock hit her on the head and when they looked down the floor began shaking.

Then they heard some noises behind them "Uh Thorax?" Said Twilight as she turned around and saw some stallions in armour chasing them.

"Thorax!" Yelled the captain of the royal guard.

"Run!" Said Thorax as he and Twilight ran to the exit of the tunnel and Twilight had to carry her hair while running.

Once they were out there was a cliff and then two thugs came from the other side down below them.

"Who's that?" Twilight asked.

"They don't like me." Thorax simply replied to her.

Then they turned around and the royal guards came out of the tunnel as well.

"Who's that?" Twilight asked again.

"They don't like me either." Thorax replied to her again.

Then Twilight saw a horse coming out of the tunnel as well.

"Who's that?" Twilight asked again.

"Let's just assume for the moment that everypony here doesn't like me." Thorax replied to her simply again.

"Here." Said Twilight giving her frying pan to Thorax.

Twilight used her hair to grab a wood above the cliff and swinged to the other side.

"Hehehe" laughed a guard and when Thorax turned around he saw the royal guard captain unsheathing his sword "I've waited a long time for this"

Then Thorax ducked the captain's sword and smacked him with the frying pan and he was knocked out, then he countered the other guard with the pan and knocked him out as well and the last two guards got smacked so hard that they immediately got knocked out.

"Oh mama I have got to get me one of these." Said Thorax rotating the frying pan.

Then a sword was pointed at him and Thorax aimed his frying pan at whoever was going to fight him and he saw Maximus holding a sword in his mouth and they began fighting.

"You should know that this is the strangest this I have ever done." Said Thorax then Maximus disarmed him and the frying pan fell on the ground underneath him.

"How about two out of three?" Asked Thorax and Maximus aimed his sword at him.

"Thorax!" Said Twilight throwing her hair and grabbed Thorax's hoof with it then he swinged down.

When Twilight was helping Thorax she noticed the two other thugs "Thorax look out!"

Twilight then pulled her hair up a little and the two thugs missed him and he laughed at them "Ha you should see your faces cause you look-" said Thorax as he was cut off when he crashed into a wood supporter of the dam "Ridiculous" he finished.

Twilight looked at Thorax with a painful expressions at him. But then she saw the horse kicking a wood with his hooves and created a path to get to them.

"Come on Twilight jump!" Said Thorax.

Twilight then jumped and was able to dodge Maximises bite in time.

When Twilight swinged to the ground she saw the two thugs after her so she immediately ran away and Thorax slid down the dam but then it collapsed when he got on the ground and the dam broke and it released tons of water.

The water hit the guards, thugs and Maximus and Thorax and Twilight managed to make it into a cave in time before a giant rock collapsed on them.

Once they were in they had a huge problem the cave was flooding.

Twilight's hair glowing, healing song and mother knows best reprise

Thorax , Twilight and Spike were in the flooding cave and they moved to higher grounds by going deeper into the cave but they eventually came to a dead end.

Thorax dived into the water to see if there's a way out and Twilight tried to hit the rocks with her frying pan but it didn't work.

When Thorax came back up to the surface he tried moving some of the rocks but he scratched himself from doing that and he dived down again and went back up to the surface.

"It's no use. I can't see anything." Said Thorax between breaths.

Twilight tried diving down but Thorax pulled her back up "Hey, there's no point it's pitch black down there"

Twilight looked at him sadly and said "This is all my fault. She was right I never should've done this... I'm so... I'm so sorry Thorax."

"It's okay I never had anything special anyways what about you?" He asked her.

"I have magic hair that glows when I sing." Said Twilight.

"What?" Thorax asked.

Then Twilight realized that her hair can glow when she sings "I have magic hair that glows when I sing!"

Twilight Sparkle: Flower gleam and glow let your power shine.

Then the two of them held their breaths when the water level rose and Twilight's hair began glowing a bright purple colour and Thorax said "Whoa" underwater but he immediately held his breath again.

And when they looked down they saw a pile of rock which probably leads to the exit.

So they swam down to the pile of rocks and began grabbing and pushing them away, and after a while they made it out and climbed on land.

"We made it." Said Twilight between breaths.

"Her hair glows" Thorax said shocked.

"We're alive" said Twilight walking on the grass.

"Oh I didn't see that coming" said Thorax.

"Her hair actually glows."

"Thorax"

"Why does her hair glows?" Thorax asked Spike.

"Thorax!" Twilight called him.

"What?"

"It doesn't just glow" said Twilight picking back up her hair from the pond.

Spike was smiling at Thorax.

"Why is he smiling at me?" Thorax asked Twilight.

When the two of them got out of the water, Thorax started a fire near them and after that Twilight was wrapping her hair around his injured hoof.

"So your being strangely cryptic as you wrap your magic purple hair around my injured hoof ahh" as he felt pain.

"Sorry" said Twilight with an apologetic look.

Twilight sighed and said "Just don't freak out"

Thorax looked at her for a while then Twilight sighed and began singing.

Twilight Sparkle: Flower gleam and glow. Let your power shine. Make the clock reverse. Bring back what once was mine.

Spike told him to look at his hoof by pointing his left claw at his right claw.

Twilight Sparkle: Heal what has been hurt. Change the fate's design. Save what has been lost. Bring back what once was mine. What once was mine.

After Twilight was done singing Thorax removed her hair around his hoof and saw that his scratch was gone and his hoof was healed and he was about to scream but Twilight stopped him by saying "Please don't freak out."

Thorax still had his mouth opened in shock and Twilight gave him a worried look and hope that he doesn't freaks out.

Thorax closed his mouth and said "Ah I'm not freaking out, are you freaking out? I'm just very interested in your hair or the magical quality that it possesses how long has it been doing that exactly?"

"Forever I guess" Twilight replied simply.

"Mother said when I was a baby ponies tried to cut it. But once it's cut. It turns brown and looses it's power. A gift like that it has to be protected, that's why mother never let me... That's why... I never left the..."

"You never left that tower" said Thorax.

Twilight turned and looked at him sadly.

"And your still gonna go back?" Asked Thorax.

"No... Yes." Said Twilight as she covered her face "It's complicated." She finished and Spike nuzzled her hoof.

Twilight then uncovered her face and looked at Thorax and he said "Um, well I should uh... I, I should get some more firewood" said Thorax going into the forest but Twilight stopped him by saying "hey, for the record, I like your skills when you dealt with those other stallions and that horse back there"

"Well, I guess I'm a bit skilled thank you" said Thorax going into the forest to grab some firewood.

Twilight was starring at Thorax happily but what she didn't know is that Gothel was behind her.

"Well, I thought he'd never leave" said Gothel.

"Mother?" Said Twilight turning around and she saw her mother behind her and she was shocked and Spike hid behind a wood.

"Hello dear"

"But I... I... Don't we... How did you find me?" Asked Twilight and her mother hugged her.

"Oh it was easy really. I just listened for the sound of complete and utter betrayal. And followed that"

Twilight sighed and said "Mother-"

"We're going home Twilight now" said Gothel pulling her daughter back to the tower.

"You... You don't understand. I've been on this incredible journey and I've seen and learned so much. I even met somepony"

"Yes, the wanted thief. I'm so proud. Come on Twilight."

"Mother wait." Said Twilight as she pulled her hoof away from her mother's grasp "I think-I think he likes me." She finished.

"He likes you? Please Twilight, that's demented."

"But Twilight I-"

"This is why you never should have left. Dear, this whole romance that you've invented just proves you're too naive to be here. Why would he like you come on now, really? Look at you, you think that he's impressed? Don't be a dummy. Come with mommy. Mother-"

"No!" Twilight yelled.

"No? Oh... I see how it is"

Mother Gothel: Twilight Sparkle knows best, Twilight Sparkle is so mature now, such a clever grown-up miss. Twilight Sparkle knows best, fine! If you're so sure now go ahead and give him this!"

When Gothel showed Twilight the tiara she gasped.

Twilight Sparkle: How did you-

Mother Gothel: This is why he's here! Don't let him deceive you! Give it to him watch you'll see!

Then Gothel threw the tiara to Twilight and she grabbed it.

Twilight Sparkle: I will!

Mother Gothel: Trust me my dear! That's how fast hell leave you! I won't say I told you so! No Twilight Sparkle knows best! So if he's such a dream-boat, go and put him to the test.

Twilight Sparkle: Mother wait!

Mother Gothel: If he's lying, don't come crying! Mother knows best.

Then Gothel disappeared and Twilight looked at the tiara.

"So, hey uh, can I ask you something?" Asked Thorax and when Twilight heard him she put the crown in the satchel and hid it underneath a tree.

"Is there any chance that I'm going to get super strength in my hoof? Because I'm not going to lie that would be stupendous." Said Thorax and he saw Twilight looking at the forest.

"Hey, you alright?"

"Oh, sorry, yes. Just um, lost in thought, I guess." Said Twilight.

"I mean because here's the thing. Superpony good looks, I've always had 'em. Born with it, but superpony strength? Can you imagine the possibilities, I'm just..."

Behind them was mother Gothel and the two thugs they were hiding behind the trees behind them and one of the thugs tried to go after them but Gothel raised stopped him by raising her hoof and she said "Patience boys. All good things to those who wait.

Twilight and Thorax meets Maximus and kingdom dance

The next day

Thorax and Twilight were sleeping very comfortably in the forest but then a water drop fell on Thorax he woke up a little and he slept again but a second drop of water fell on his face again and then he opened his eyes and saw Maximus, he was really wet from the waterflow.

"Well I hope your here to apologize." Thorax simply replied and drifted back to sleep.

"Ahhhh! No, No, No, Put me down."

When Twilight and Spike heard Thorax screaming they saw him being dragged away by a horse.

Then Twilight ran up to Thorax and tried to pull him away from the horse "Give me, him." Twilight said to the horse but he shook his head.

Then the two of them pulled with their full strengths and Twilight got Thorax back and Maximus had Thorax's boot in his mouth.

Maximus ran up to Thorax again but Twilight stopped him by saying "Whoa. Whoa. Whoa. Whoa. Easy boy, easy, calm down. Easy." Said Twilight and he calmed down "That's it." When Maximus looked on top of the alicorn's head he saw a dragon and he also told him to calm down.

"Now sit. Sit" said Twilight and he listened to her and sat.

"Now drop the boot." Said Twilight but he refused "Drop it." Then he dropped the boot.

"Aww, you are such a good boy. Yes you are. Your all tired from chasing the bad stallion all over the place?" Twilight asked and he nodded.

"Excuse me?" Said Thora feeling a little offended.

"Nopony appreciates you do they? Do they?" Twilight asked and he snorted sadly.

"Oh come on he's a bad horse." Said Thorax.

"Oh he's nothing but a big sweetheart." Said Twilight and Maximus nuzzled her"Isn't that right ? Maximus?" Said Twilight looking at the name on his collar.

"You've got to be kidding me." Said Thorax and he earned a glare from him.

"Look today is kinda the biggest day of my life. And the thing is, I need you not to get him arrested." Said Twilight helping Thorax up.

When Maximus heard that he refused by snorting angrily "Just for twenty-four hours and then you can chase each other to your hearts content. Okay."

Then Thorax sighed in annoyance and extended his hoof out to him to shake, when Maximus saw his hoof he turned away because he dislikes him "And it's also my birthday. Just so you know." Twilight said.

When Maximus heard that he sighed in defeat and looked at Thorax and they shook hooves.

Then Twilight moved in between them and went to the kingdom and when she was away from them Maximus punched him in the chest which made him"Oof." And fell on the ground and Maximus smiled proud of himself from doing that.

Once Twilight, Thorax and Maximus were in the kingdom, Twilight was amazed at how beautiful it was while they were walking on a bridge to the kingdom but when they reached the middle of the bridge Thorax saw another wanted paper of him on the bridge so he grabbed it off the bridge and crumbled it into a ball which made Maximus glare at him.

When Thorax saw Maximus glaring at him he shoved the paper into his mouth and he laughed at him but then he spat the paper out at his face and he laughed at him then they began fighting but they were stopped when Spike looked at them.

Once Twilight was in the kingdom she looked around the place but she found it hard for her to get through because of her long hair and Thorax immediately picked it up and tried to look for a solution, then he saw four fillies doing their hair and Thorax whistled to them. When the four fillies saw the stallion changeling holding a mare's long hair they gasped and began doing it while she was sitting down.

When Thorax, Maximus and Spike were waiting for Twilight there were royal guards passing by and Thorax hid behind a wall.

Then he looked at Twilight and saw that her hair was done and it was shorter and she had flowers on them "Oh thank you." Said Twilight spinning around.

Thorax looked at Twilight and smiled and Maximus came near his face and smiled at him because he thinks that he is in love with her, when Thorax saw Maximuses smiling face he pushed his face away and he laughed.

Then they began shopping and Twilight saw a wall with a painting of a stallion, a mare and a filly and a filly placed a flower in front of the wall "It's for the lost princess." She said.

When Twilight looked at the baby filly in the painting she saw that she was purple alicorn pony and she looked just like her.

When Twilight was looking at the painting she heard some music, when Thorax finished buying some grocery in the store she saw Twilight dancing to the music that the three stallions were playing.

She then danced with a young colt and many other ponies, Thorax, Spike and Maximus were looking at her dancing with the ponies and they were smiling and Twilight asked him to join her and the ponies but he refused then Maximus pushed him to them, Thorax then glared at him from doing that but the ponies danced with him and and Maximus was laughing.

Then they bought a purple flag with a sun symbol on it, and went back to dancing, Twilight and Thorax tried to reach out for each other but other ponies got them so they resumed dancing.

Then they began drawing and they bought some cupcakes to eat and went to the library to read a book and danced in town again.

During the dance Thorax was looking for Twilight but then the dance came to an end and Thorax and Twilight held each other and everypony began cheering.

"To the boats." Said a stallion.

Once Thorax, Twilight and Spike got onto a boat, Thorax began rowing them to the lantern show but Thorax turned to Maximus and said "Hey Max." Said Thorax throwing him a bag of apples, when Maximus saw the apples he glared at him for a second "What? I bought them." Said Thorax as he kept rowing. When Maximus heard that he smiled and began eating the apples "Most of them."

"Where are we going?" Twilight asked.

"Well, best day of your life. I figured you should have a decent seat." Said Thorax as he lowered Spike behind him.

Once Thorax rowed to a perfect location for the lanterns show they began looking at the kingdom and Twilight had a worried look "You okay?" Thorax asked looking at her.

"I'm terrified." She told him.

"Why?"

"I've been looking out the window for eighteen years. Dreaming about what it might feel like when those lights rise in the sky. What if it's not everything I've dreamed it would be?" She asked him.

"It will be." Thorax told her.

"And what if it is? What do I do then?" She asked him again looking at him.

"Well that's the good part I guess. You get to go find a new dream."

When Twilight heard that she smiled at him and they looked at the kingdom and waited for the lanterns.

I see the light

Inside the kingdoms castle.

The queen was helping her husband with the sun collar on his chest and when she looked up to him she saw that he was sad because their daughter has been lost for 18 years, she then rubbed his cheek and wiped a tear off his cheek then they went outside where a lantern was placed.

Once they got to the lantern they launched it into the sky. When the ponies saw the lantern launched they launched theirs and millions of lanterns were launched to the sky.

In the ocean

Twilight was placing flowers into the ocean and then she saw a lantern in the ocean so she went up to the front of the boat and looked at it.

When Twilight turned around she saw Thorax holding two lanterns, she sat down and said "I have something for you too." Said Twilight showing Thorax his satchel.

"I should have given it to you before, but I was just scared. And the thing is, I'm not scared anymore. You know what I mean?" Twilight asked him.

"I'm starting too." Said Thorax then he and Twilight launched the lanterns.

Thorax: All those days chasing down a daydream. All those years living in a blur. All that time never truly seeing things, the way they were. Now she's here shining in the starlight. Now she's here shining in the starlight. Now she's here, suddenly I know. If she's here it's crystal clear. I'm where I'm meant to go.

Thorax and Twilight: And at last I see the light.

Thorax: And it's like the fog is lifted.

Thorax and Twilight: And at last I see the light. And it's like the sky is new. And it's warm and real and bright. And the world has somehow shifted. All at once everything is different. Now that I see you.

Then Thorax and Twilight leaned close to each other and when Spike saw that he immediately covered his eyes and blushed.

Thorax and Twilight: Now that I... See you.

Then they leaned close to each other for a kiss, but when Thorax opened his eyes he saw the two thugs he worked with on an island and they walked away.

When Twilight opened her eyes she looked at Thorax and she asked "Is everything okay?" As she turned around.

"Huh? Oh yes. Uh, yes of course." Said Thorax as he looked at the satchel "I just..."

Then Thorax came up with a plan to deal with those two thugs.

Captured and realization

Once Thorax rowed him, Twilight and Spike to shore he got off the boat and grabbed the satchel "I'm sorry, everything is fine. There's just something I have to take care of."

Twilight looked at him and the satchel and said "Okay."

"I'll be right back." Said Thorax as be walked to where the two thugs were.

Twilight looked at him and Spike climbed on her shoulder "It's alright Spike." Twilight told him as she and Spike looked at Thorax and waited for him to come back.

Thorax was looking for the two thugs and when he walked through a bush he saw one of them "Ahh, there you are. I've been searching everywhere for you guys, since we got separated. Hey the sideburns are coming in nice, huh? You gotta be excited about that." He asked him.

The thug did not look at him or answered him he just kept sharpening a stick with his knife.

"Anyhow, just wanted to say, I shouldn't have split. The crown is all yours." Said Thorax tossing the satchel with the crown in it to him.

"I'll miss you, but I think it's for the..." Said Thorax turning away back to Twilight but he bumped into the other thug "Best." He finished.

"Holding out on us again? Hey, Thorax?" The thug asked.

"What?"

Then the thug got off the rock and threw his knife on the ground and walked to Thorax and said "We heard you found something. Something much more valuable than a crown. We want her, instead."

Thorax then gasped in fear because he doesn't know how they knew about Twilight.

On the other side of the island.

Twilight was waiting for Thorax near the boat with Spike on her shoulder then she saw a shadow of a stallion who she assumed was Thorax.

She sighed in relief and said "I was starting to think you ran off with the crown and left me."

But then another shadow appeared and two stallions walked up to her and one of them said "He did."

Twilight didn't believe him "What? No."

"See for yourself." Said the thug pointing to a boat.

When Twilight looked at the boat, she saw Thorax sailing away in the boat "Thorax? Thorax!" Twilight tried to call him but he couldn't hear her.

"Fair trade. A crown, for the girl with the magic hair." When Twilight heard that she quickly turned and looked at them with a scared face "How much do you think somepony will pay to stay young and healthy forever?" The thug asked his friend, then he pulled out a bag and tried to put her in it.

"No, please. No!" Then Twilight ran away from the two thugs but then her hair got stuck on a log, she tried to free herself and then she heard somepony beating up the two thugs.

"Twilight?"

"Mother?" When Twilight heard her mother she immediately went to her voice and she saw her and she saw the two thugs knocked out by her.

"Oh, my precious girl."

"Mother." Said Twilight running up to her mother and hugged her.

"Are you alright? Are you hurt?" She asked checking her.

"Mother, how did you?-"

"I was so worried about you dear. So I followed you. And I saw them attack you." Said Gothel as she hugged her daughter "Alright, let's go, let's go before they come to." Said Gothel brining Twilight back to the tower but Twilight turned around and looked at Thorax again and he kept sailing away.

Then Twilight looked at her mother, she dropped her lantern and Twilight ran up to her and hugged her.

"You were right, mother. You were right about everything."

"I know darling. I know." Said Gothel picking up the lantern and returned home with her daughter.

When Thorax sailed to shore there were two stallion guards on top of a prison and they heard a bump, then they looked down and saw the criminal Thorax and the lost princesses crown.

"Look!" Said one of the stallion guards.

"The crown." Said the other guard.

Then Thorax woke up and found himself tied in a boat "Twilight. Twilight!" Said Thorax looking for her but she wasn't around then he saw four stallion royal guards jumping on the boat and pulling him to the prison.

"No, no, no. Wait, wait,.wait. Guys, guys." Maximum was sitting near the prison on the dock and he heard Thorax so he looked around the corner and saw him being pulled by the royal guards.

"Twilight!"

When Maximus heard him saying Twilight he looked back at the island where they were last time.

The next day

Inside one of the cells in the prison Thorax was walking in circles in his cell thinking about a plan to save Twilight but then he heard his cell being unlocked and when he turned around he saw the captain of the royal guards and two more stallion guards were behind him.

"Let's get this over with Thorax." Said the captain.

"Where are we going?" Asked Thorax.

The captain didn't answer him he just gave him a look and Thorax knew what was going to happen to himself he was going to be hanged for his crime and he placed his hoof on his neck.

In the tower

Mother Gothel finished removing the flowers on Twilight's hair "There, it never happened." Then she got up from Twilight's bed and walked out of her room and said "Now wash up for dinner. I'm making hazel but soup.

Twilight didn't respond to her mother she just sat on her bed and stared on the ground because she missed Thorax.

Gothel then sighed and said "I really did try Twilight. I tried to warn you what was out there. The world is dark, and selfish and cruel. If it finds even the slightest ray of sunshine. It destroys it." Said Gothel closing the covers in Twilight's room.

After that Twilight stared at the floor sadly and Spike was next to her as well also sad, then she lied on her bed and looked at the purple flag with the sun symbol on it that Thorax bought for her in the kingdom, then she lowered the flag and looked at her drawings on the wall and saw that there were sun symbols everywhere.

Then she stood up and remembered herself when she was a baby and she was born in a castle not in the tower, she also remembers the painting on the wall with the king, queen and baby and she must assumed that the baby was her and she also remembered her wearing the tiara and it suited her perfectly and she came to a realization that she was the lost princess.

After Twilight realized that she was the lost princess she fell on the ground and knocked over some of her stuffs.

Back in the prison

The stallion guards were taking Thorax to the hanging place and while they were walking Thorax saw the two thugs in a cell next to them so he head-butted the two guards and went up and grabbed one of the thugs by his shirt.

"How did you know about her? Tell me now!" He demanded.

"It wasn't us. It was the old mare."

"Old mare?" Said Thorax then he realized that it was mother Gothel.

Then the guards grabbed him again.

"Wait, no, wait! You don't understand, she's in trouble." Said Thorax but the guards didn't listened to him they kept dragging him to the hanging place.

Back in the tower.

Mother Gothel heard the noise upstairs in Twilight's room so she walked up the stairs and said "Twilight?" But she didn't get a response "Twilight, what's going on up there?"

Inside her room Twilight was breathing heavily after her realization.

Then she walked out of her room.

"Are you alright?" Gothel asked her.

"I'm the lost princess." Twilight mumbled.

"Oh, please, speak up, Twilight. You know I hate the mumbling."

"I am the lost princess. Aren't I?" Twilight asked her.

Gothel didn't replied to her, she just stood there with a shocked face because she didn't know that Twilight realized that she was the lost princess.

"Did I mumble mother? Or should I even call you that?" Twilight asked glaring at her.

Then Gothel said "Oh, Twilight, do you even hear yourself? Why would you asks such a ridiculous question?" Said Gothel as she was about to hug her but Twilight pushed her away.

"It was you! It was all, you."

"Everything I did was to protect you." Said Gothel.

Then Twilight pushed her out of the way and walked down the stairs "Twilight."

"I spent my entire life. Hiding from ponies who would use me for my powers.-"

"Twilight!"

"And I should have been hiding from you." She told her.

"Where will you go?" She asked her "He won't be there for you."

"What did you do to him?" Twilight asked her.

"That criminal, is to be hanged for his crimes."

That made Twilight gasp in fear.

"No." Twilight said quietly and worriedly.

"Now, now. It's alright. Listen to me. All of this is as it should be." Said Gothel trying to stroke her head but Twilight grabbed her hoof before she could even touch her.

"No! You were wrong about the world. And you were wrong about me. And I will never, let you use my hair again!" Said Twilight then Gothel freed herself from her grasp and she knocked over a mirror and it shattered on the ground.

Then Twilight walked to the exit of tower.

"You want me to be the bad guy? Fine, now I'm the bad guy." Gothel said in a low and dangerous voice as she walked up to Twilight.

Escaping from prison heading to the tower

When the royal guards were brining Thorax to the hanging place Thorax saw a small unicorn toy on a shelf which made him raise his eye brow.

When the royal guard captain and his men were about to enter another section of the prison the door suddenly closed on all of them.

"What's this?" Said the captain "Open up." as he banged on the door.

"What's the password?" Asked a short channeling thug.

"What?"

"Nope."

"Open this door."

"Not even close."

"You have three seconds. One"

When the captain said one, one of the guards were taken by somepony which shocked the other guard.

"Ahh!"

"Two"

When the captain said two the second guard got pulled into a room.

"Ahh!"

"Three..." Said the guard as he turned around and saw Thorax by himself and the two of his men that were with him were gone.

"Huh?"

Then a larger thug came through the door and smacked the captain in the back of his head and he was knocked out.

"Frying pans. Who knew, right?" Said Thorax.

Then the door behind him broke open and many guards came after them and Thorax began running with the thug in front of him and three stallion guards were chasing them but they were stopped when a mime stood in front of them and he was miming the wall then he looked to his right and the guards did as well and then they saw a larger stallion thug charging towards them.

"Ahhh!" Yelled the guards as they got hit.

Once Thorax and the thugs reached the middle of the prison they saw many royal guards coming their way and the hook hoofed thug placed Thorax on a wagon.

"Head down." He told him.

"Head down." Said Thorax following his instructions.

"Hooves in."

"Hooves in." Said Thorax as he had his hooves in.

"Knees apart."

"Knees apart. Knees apart? Why do I need to keep my knees aparrrtt!" Yelled Thorax as he got thrown up by a thug when he jumped on the back of the wagon.

Thorax flew for a moment then he landed and he saw himself sitting on Maximuses back.

"Max." Said Thorax shocked that he was here "You brought them here?"

Maximus nods

"Thank you." Said Thorax and Max gave him a 'No problem' look.

"No really. Thank you. Uh, I feel maybe this whole time we've just misunderstanding one another. And we're really just." Then Thorax saw Max with an annoyed look "Yeah your right."

Then three royal guards came to their location with bow guns and they fired it but Max and Thorax managed to avoid them then they reached the ledge of the prison.

"Max. Max! Max!" Yelled Thorax as he and Max free falled onto a building and landed in town which surprised some local.

"Okay Max. Let's see how fast you can run." Said Thorax as he and Max exited the kingdom and went to the tower where Twilight is kept.

Thorax rescues Twilight and the end

Thorax was riding on Maximus in the forest and Maximus was running as fast as he could so that he can get Thorax to the tower to save Twilight.

Once they arrived at the tower, Thorax got off of Maximus and called for Twilight.

"Twilight."

*No response*

"Twilight, let down your hair." Thorax called for her again the second time but again he didn't get a response.

Then Thorax began climbing the tower but when he looked up he saw Twilight's purple hair being thrown down to him and he began climbing it and he made it in the tower.

"Twilight, I thought I'd never see you again." Said Thorax but when he looked in front of him he saw Twilight in cuffs and she had her mouth covered.

Twilight was telling him something but then it was too late, Gothel stabbed Thorax in the chest from behind making him "Arrgghh." And fall on the ground.

"Thorax!" Twilight muffled.

"Now look what you've done, Twilight. Oh don't worry dear, our secret will die with him." Said Gothel walking past Thorax and to Twilight.

"And as for us." Said Gothel as she grabbed the chains on Twilight and dragged her to the secret exit of the tower. "We are going where nopony will ever find you, again." Said Gothel dragging Twilight.

When Spike saw Gothel dragging Twilight he ran up to Gothel and grabbed her coat by his mouth.

When Gothel saw the dragon grabbing her she kicked him to the wall.

"Twilight, really. Enough already. Stop fighting me."

Then Twilight broke free of her mother's grip and dropped to the floor and her mouth was uncovered.

"No! I won't stop for every minute of the rest of my life. I will fight, I will never stop trying to get away from you." Said Twilight panting "But, if you let me save him. I will go with you." She told her.

"No. No, Twilight." Said Thorax on the floor in pain, his bleeding was getting worse.

"I'll never run, I'll never try to escape. Just let me heal him, and you and I will be together, forever, just like you want. Everything will be the way it was. I promise. Just like you want, just... Let... Me heal him." Said Twilight.

Then Gothel released Twilight and tied Thorax in chains so that he couldn't follow them.

"In case you get any ideas about following us." Gothel whispered to him as she walked away then Twilight ran up to him.

"Tho-Thorax!" Said Twilight but then he heard him cough in pain and Twilight looked at his chest and saw him bleeding which shocked her.

"Oh, I'm so sorry. Everything is going to be okay. I promise, you have to trust me." Said Twilight grabbing her hair and putting it on Thorax's wound.

"No... I can't let you do this." Said Thorax in pain.

"And I can't let you die." She told him.

"But if you do this.-"

"Shhh." As she touched his cheek.

"Then you... Will die."

"Hey. It's gonna be okay." Said Twilight trying to comfort him.

Then Twilight tried to sing but Thorax said "Twilight wait." Said Thorax reaching her hair and he cut it with a broken glass from the mirror.

"Thorax, What?" Said Twilight as her hair lost it's glowing and it was just purple and short.

"No!" Gothel yelled.

Then Twilight looked at the rest of her hair and saw that it lost it's glowing.

"No. No!" Yelled Gothel grabbing the non-glowing hair.

"What have you done? What have you done!" Said Gothel then she look in the broken mirror and saw her old again "No! No!" Yelled Gothel covering her face with her hood and backing away to the exit of the tower.

Then Spike grabbed Twilight's hair and she tripped backwards and fell to the ground.

When Twilight saw Gothel gone she turned to Thorax with a worried face.

"No, no, no, no, Thorax." Said Twilight but she heard Thorax cough in pain. "Oh. look at me, look at me, I'm right here. Don't go, stay with me, Thorax." Said Twilight placing his hoof on her head.

"Flower gleam and glow, let your power shine. Make the clock reverse, bring back what once was mine."

"Twilight." Thorax called her.

"What?" Asked Twilight with tears in her eyes.

"You were my new dream." He said slowly and quietly.

Twilight cried and said "And you were mine."

Then Thorax closed his eyes and lost his consciousness.

Twilight looked at Thorax sadly with tears in her eyes and began singing hoping that she can bring Thorax back to life.

Twilight Sparkle: Heal what has been hurt. Change the fate's design. Save what has been lost. Bring back what once was mine. What once was mine.

Then Twilight began crying and her tear fell on Thorax's cheek, then the tear on his cheek began glowing a bright purple colour and when Twilight opened her eyes she saw the purple glow on his bleeding chest and there was also a symbol of a flower on his chest then the glowing on his chest disappeared.

When Twilight checked Thorax's chest she saw him healed then he looked at him and saw that he was waking up.

"Twilight"

Twilight gasped and said "Thorax."

"Did I ever tell you, I've got a thing for brunettes?"

Then Twilight gasped in happiness and hugged him And he hugged back "Thorax."

Then they kissed each other.

In the kingdom

A stallion royal guard ran into the king and queen's room and told them that their daughter had returned which made them shocked.

Then they ran to the castle' s exit doors and they looked at each other and hoped that it was their daughter.

Once they opened the doors they saw a purple alicorn mare and a green changeling.

When the alicorn mare and the green channeling turned around they saw the king and queen. Then the queen walked up to the mare with short purple hair and checked her, she then touched her cheeks and it was her daughter, she cried in happiness and she hugged her and she hugged back. Then Twilight looked at her dad and he also smiled happily and hugged them and Thorax watched the three of them happily.

Then the queen extended her hoof out to Thorax, when he grabbed it she pulled him in and all of them hugged each other.

"Well you could imagine what happened next. The kingdom rejoiced. For the lost princess had returned. The party lasted an entire week. And, honestly I don't remember. Most of it. Dreams came true all over the place. That guy went on to become the most famous concert pianist in the world, if you can believe it. And, this guy, well he eventually found true love. As for this guy, well, I assume he's happy. He never told me other-wise. Thanks to Maximus, crime in the kingdom disappeared almost over night. As did most of the apples. Spike? Never changed. At last Twilight was home and she finally had a real family. She was a princess worth waiting for. Beloved by all, she led her kingdom with all the Grace and wisdom that her parents did before her. And as for me, well. I started going by Thorax again. Stopped theiving, and basically turned it all around. But I know what the big question is. Did Twilight and I ever get married? Well I'm pleased to tell you. That after years, and years, and years of asking, and asking, and asking. I finally said yes." Said Thorax.

"Thorax." Said Twilight.

"Alright, I asked her." Said Thorax.

"And we're living happily ever after." Said Twilight.

"Yes we are." Said Thorax.
