I'm glad you got that worked out. It is a shame you've decided spite is the better form of valor, but we'll discuss it later. Really, you've benefited from tax bits regularly in the past and I like to think that most of the things those bits go toward you would approve of anyway.

In any case, perhaps in the future you should go to town hall and just ask to see the tax spending plan and offer to pay for portions you approve of directly? As long as the bits go toward those projects through an official channel it doesn't really matter if REBAR or you are the ones distributing it. That is to say, you could have just paid your tax requirement into, say, the Twilight Sparkle Disaster Relief.
