Equestria collapses once eldritch horrors from another dimension invade. Survivors are driven underground, banding together in herds for the sake of survival. One such group has no choice but to ally with Sombra, however naturally he has his own agenda; will the price of his services prove far too high?
Meanwhile, another clan allies under Spike, who plays the long game, hoping that if he stays low and repopulates the planet it might eventually recover. A number of females fall under him, convinced his plan is the best hope left. But what will happen when these two alliances finally converge?
And who is the mysterious stranger they soon meet who seems to have some knowledge of these creatures?
