Canterlot gardens

Kion got outside to get some fresh air and calm himself down, he looked around in gardens and thought that this garden could rival his own back home, then he found out that he wasn't alone in the gardens as he heard something.

"So, you're the lion that Fluttershy befriended, it's not out of character for her." a voice said, Kion looked around for the source of the voice.

"Who's there?" Kion asked "Show yourself!"

"So determine, I do like your attitude." the voice said "I'm right behind you."

Kion turned around saw what looks like the most bizarre creature he'd ever seen, the creature is mixed up with a few animals and was wearing a suit made up of patches "What the f--" Kion tried to say but was interrupted.

"I'm Discord, the spirit of chaos, it's an honor to meet you, Prince Kiongozi." the creature now known as Discord said.

"How did you know my name and title?" Kion asked.

"Trust me, Kion, he knows a lot." a mature female voice said, Kion looked aside and saw Celestia still carrying the Amaterasu.

"Isn't that God's job to know everything?" Kion asked.

"Well, yes, but He's a lot more knowledgeable than I am." Discord answered.

"You talked to Him?" Kion asked.

"Yes, He's just like Celestia without the uptight attitude and the hunger for cake." Discord answered.

"I resent that." Celestia said as she puffed up her cheeks and blushed, then dark crystals started appearing out of nowhere.

"What the hell is going on?" Kion asked.

"Kion, Discord, back in the castle!" Celestia said as she, Kion, and Discord ran back into the castle, Kion didn't know who the culprit was but he got an idea, so he grabbed the Amaterasu and sprinted ahead "Kion, wait!" Celestia said but Kion didn't listen as he used his sense of smell and hearing to locate Twilight's scent and voice.

Canterlot throne room

A grey black manned unicorn stallion wearing a chrome crown, silver armor, and red cape had claimed the throne his but the main 6, Spike, Luna, Cadence, and Shining Armor spotted him and Shining Armor fired a magic beam at the dark unicorn but it didn't do any damage "Stop what you're doing, Sombra!" Twilight shouted.

"You can't stop the inevitable, none of you can, a new era is upon us!" the dark unicorn now known as Sombra said as he fired a giant magic bolt at the group but something prevented the bolt from hitting the group, what they saw was Kion with the Amaterasu drawn out.

"Kion?" the six girls said as they saw the adolescent lion cub walking through the entrance with the Amaterasu in the grip of his right paw.

"What are you doing?" Twilight asked in worry.

"What I do best, Twilight. Taking care of business." Kion answered as he stopped and pointed the katana at Sombra to which the shadow tyrant laughed evily.

"You think you can defeat me that easily? All of you will fail!" Sombra said as he summoned dark crystals to block the ponies and the redheaded lion.

With the blade of the Amaterasu glowing with red-orange magic, Kion sliced the dark crystals that were blocking his way, turning them into dust and shattering the rest of the crystals around the throne room while Kion continued walking with the blade of the Amaterasu pointing at the right.

"Now what kind of coward uses black stepping crystals as a main attack, you have a fetish for stairs or something?" Kion said with a small smirk before he swing the Amaterasu at Sombra but the dark unicorn grabbed his scythe and blocked Kion's attack, Sombra pushed Kion back and twirled his scythe

"Foolish welp, you don't have what it takes to wield such massive power!" Sombra said arrogantly.

"Well look who's talking, jackass!" Kion growled as he charged in and started hacking the Amaterasu thirty-eight times in blinding speed at Sombra, the strikes were so fast and powerful that Sombra even with his longer range weapon was having trouble keeping up. Celestia and Luna were shocked at what they're seeing, they and the rest of the group were witnessing a normal lion cub using the Amaterasu sword to fight one of the most powerful villains in Equestria, Fluttershy almost fainted to which Discord caught her in time while Twilight was nearly crying at the thought that Kion would get killed in this fight. Using only one arm, Kion kept on fighting his way through and blocked the scythe from his head with the Amaterasu until Sombra summoned his crystals to trap Kion in but the lion cub sliced the crystals away and he fired a magic blade beam at Sombra, injuring the dark unicorn.

"Had enough yet? If so, then I'll have to put you out of your fucking misery." Kion taunted as he twirled the Amaterasu around for a bit, but Sombra now scared summoned dark crystals under Kion but the lion cub jumped out of the way and cut the crystals in two, Sombra fired magic bolts at Kion but the lion cub swat away the magic bolts with the Amaterasu and tried to close the distance but Sombra summoned dark crystals to grab Kion to stop his attack.

"Kion!" Twilight shouted as she fired a magic beam at the crystals, freeing Kion in the process.

Sombra used his dark crystals to block Twilight away as he closed the distance and use his gaze to show Kion his greatest fear but just as Sombra started to walked towards one of the thrones, the sound of enraged growling could be heard, Twilight and Celestia blast the dark crystals away only to see Kion getting pissed off due to Sombra's dark magic as his light golden scleral lenses turned green and a purple smoke-like aurora was admitted at the far corners of his eyes, with an enraged roar, Kion charged at Sombra and sliced one of the shadow tyrant's arms off, Sombra was now really scared as Kion fired multiple magic blade beams to which Sombra desperately blocked the blade beams with his dark crystals but they shattered, Kion charged in with the Amaterasu drawn and started slashing his way through Sombra's defenses like swating the magic bolts back at Sombra to slicing through the dark crystals, turning them into dust.

"What in tartarus are you?!" Sombra said until Kion stabbed him with the Amaterasu, negating Sombra's ability to turn into a shadow, but Kion wasn't done as he threw Sombra in one of the giant pillars so hard that it created a pony sized crater with the tyrant in it until the adolescent lion started butchering the dark unicorn, Twilight, Celestia, and Luna ran towards Kion to stop the slaughter.

"Kion, stop!" Twilight shouted as she and the royal sisters tried to restrain him but he threw them off while he turned around and started walking towards them.

"Kion, please, don't do this, don't let the dark magic get the better of you!" Luna begged but Kion kept on walking with the Amaterasu drawn.

"Kion!" Twilight shouted as Kion thrust the blood soaked blade of the Amaterasu at Celestia but stopped at where the black tip of the blade was an inch away from her nose, Kion's eyes returned to normal as the dark magic that was possessing him faded away and he moved the blade away from Celestia's nose.

"Gotcha." Kion said with a sly grin after he flicked Sombra's blood off the blade.

"You scared the shit out of me, sweetie." Twilight said while she ran towards Kion and hugged him.

"I'll be fine Twilight, Asante. But I guess the joke's on me anyway." Kion said, then he gave the Amaterasu to Celestia to which she sheathed it.

"What happened to you, sugar?" Applejack asked with worry.

"I don't know. When I got, I don't know, gazed or whatever the fuck that was, something snapped inside of me and I just went berserk." Kion answered.

"Everypony, Sombra's gone." Shining Armor said.

"But how?" Rarity asked with horror.

"It might be that Kion used the princess' sword to get rid of that meanie." Pinkie answered.

"And how in the hay do you know that, Pinkie?" Rainbow Dash asked.

"Just a hunch." Pinkie answered.

"Kion, there's something I want to ask you." Twilight said.

"What is it?" Kion asked.

"How can you scratch Shining Armor in the face like that?!" Twilight half shouted.

"I fought some emo tyrant and that's what you're asking me? Because he was threatening me like if I was doing something wrong." Kion answered with annoyance.

"So, that gives you an excuse to do something like that to him?" Twilight said in shocked "You could've took his whole face off!"

"Well, what would do if he started treating you like a criminal?!" Kion shouted, this brought horrible flashbacks to Twilight when she was disowned by Shining Armor during his wedding and when he said those nasty things to her "What is it, Twilight." Kion asked with concern.

"While I was attending my brother's wedding, I tried to warn everypony about the fake Cadence but instead, my brother disowned me." Twilight answered.

"What?" Kion said in shock.

"He disowned me just so he can have his wedding, let me show you." Twilight said as she placed her hands on Kion's head and used a spell that allows Kion to read her past memories.

"You want to know why my eyes went all--? Nuh! Because ever since I started having to preform my protection spell, I've been getting terrible migraines. Cadence hasn't been casting spells on me. She's been using her magic to heal me! And she decided to replace her bridesmaids because she found out the only reason they wanted to be in the wedding was so that they could meet Canterlot royalty! And if she hasn't been on her best behavior with your friends. It's because with me being so busy, she's had to make all the decisions about the wedding!" Shining Armor said.

"I was just trying to--" Twilight tried to say but was interrupted

"She's been completely stressed out because it's really important to her that our big day be perfect! Something that obviously wasn't important to you! Now if you'll excuse me, I have to go and comfort my bride. And you can forget about being my best mare. In fact, if I were you, I wouldn't show up to the wedding at all." Shining Armor said as he left his sister behind.

"C'mon y'all. Let's go check on the princess." said Applejack as she Rainbow Dash and Rarity left Twilight behind.

"You have a lot to think about." Celestia said as she left Twilight an emotional wreck.

Kion had a few hot tears in his eyes, one of the mares that he now called a best friend had her heart broken by her brother and Celestia. Enraged by this, he grabbed the Amaterasu from Celestia, unsheathed it, and fired three magic blade beams at Shining Armor to which he put up a magic shield to protect himself but after three massive blows, the shield started to break, causing Shining Armor to get blasted to the wall, Kion ran up to Shining Armor in blinding speed and grabbed him by the neck with his left paw before he slammed the unicorn stallion back on the wall.

"Explain yourself, asshole!" Kion growled.

"About what?" Shining Armor gagged.

"You know damn well what, for breaking Twilight's heart like that, YOU SON OF A BITCH!" Kion roared as he tightened his grip on Shining Armor's throat.

"Kion, let him go!" Twilight shouted.

"After what he's done to you, you still want to defend him?!" Kion shouted in disbelief.

"Kion, please, I know what he did was all wrong but that's no reason to kill him!" Twilight said, Kion leveled the blade of the Amaterasu at Shining Armor's lower neck and charged it up.

"Don't do it, Kion! It's not worth it!" Fluttershy said, Kion thought about this, maybe Twilight was right, maybe what Shining Armor did to Twilight isn't enough reasons to kill him, so instead of killing Shining Armor, Kion dropped him to the ground, Shining Armor was coughing and wheezing due to having his neck squeezed by Kion's paw, Cadence was devastated at what Twilight explained to Kion about Shining Armor disowning her.

"Why, Shining?" Cadence asked.

"What would you do if Twilight was trying ruin our wedding?" Shining Armor said "And besides that was a few years ago."

"So, to you it makes it justifiable for what you did to Twilight?" Cadence said in anger.

"I didn't know that the real you was in the Canterlot mines!" Shining Armor desperately said but Cadence left the room with Flurry Heart in her arms.

"Kion, the sword." Celestia said as she held her hand up, Kion looked at the sword, the katana had a decorated hilt with red stripes, red sakura leaves and a Japanese letter, the blade had another Japanese letter on the base and there was a black paint on the tip of the blade.

"No." Kion said, reflecting at the memory of what Celestia did to Twilight a few years ago, Celestia gasped at what Kion had said.

"Kion, what are you doing?" Luna asked.

"That sword deserves a more skilled fighter than your sister, Luna, and one who's willing to use it." Kion answered.

"What?!" Celestia said in shock.

"What you did to Twilight was disgusting. She was trying to protect Equestria, which was supposed to be your job but you neglected it. So you don't deserve the gift that your mother gave you and you're the one who has a lot to think about." Kion said as he sheathed his new katana and walked away towards the castle gardens, Celestia was shocked at the adolescent lion cub said, he used the same words she said to Twilight a few years ago.

"What did you do, Twilight?" Celestia asked.

"I just showed him what Shining Armor did to me a few years ago, Kion was right, what you did was dishonorable as a ruler of Equestria and when I was right about the fake Cadence, you didn't say you were sorry." Twilight said as Celestia hanged her head in shame "Screw it, I'll just go talk to him." Twilight said with a sigh as she and Fluttershy followed Kion to the castle gardens.

Before anyone gets the wrong idea, no, Kion doesn't have any superpowers, it's the Amaterasu sword that has the magical powers, Kion is similar to Batman and Nightwing, he may not have superpowers but he has the peak physicality to fend off the most powerful beings.
