The sun rose steadily in the sky as Celestia slowly rose with it as well. It was just another day for her, she slept and when she woke the sun woke as well. She walked over to her table where she had stored all of her letter from Twilight's study on friendship. Celestia took one of the letters out and slowly read it to herself.

“Dear Princess Celestia.

Today Applejack and I did some work over at Sweet Apple Acres. Though it was hard work we were having fun as well. Applejack invited Rainbow Dash to give us a hand but Rainbow refused, she said that working was for suckers and that if we were going to do anything fun then give her a call. Applejack was rather upset by what Rainbow Dash said and confronted her about her lazy nature. They both went at it for some time saying how the other wouldnt understand what the others life was like, They even stopped talking to each other.

I can honestly say I wasnt sure what I could do about this problem. Then I had an idea, I though I would use the “life in hooves” spell to make them switch places for the day so they would understand what the other pony goes threw. I can honestly say that it didnt go over with them so well, but as you know the spell is not reversible It simply switches them back after a day. So after a few hours I could see that they were slowly understanding the others needs. The stamina for flying was not as easy as Applejack thought. The leg strength to buck an Apple off a tree was just as hard for Rainbow Dash. It was not just strength but also experience they needed.

By the end of the day Applejack and Rainbow dash had now a full understanding of what the other goes threw. They just gave each other a nod and were on their way. I could see this was just their way of saying how much they cared for each other. So the lesson I learned of friendship is. Never judge a pony from what you see, Because its not always what you get.

Celestia let out a sizable sigh as she returned the letter to her table. Another letter suddenly appeared in front of her face. It was another letter from Twilight about friendship. Celestia sat the letter on the table and said. “I will read this later.” She now walk out of her room and into the hallway. She was immediately greeted by several servant ponies. All of them asking her what she needed and others already providing food and drink to her. Celestia took a few quick bites and a couple of sips and continued to move down the hallway and into the royal office.

She took her seat on the throne and was presented with the daily duties. She ran through the list to see what was needed today. First thing on the list was the wants and needs of the ponies. This was a rather emotional and difficult job. Celestia would have to sit and hear the plea of a pony as they asked for something. She hated it because she could not give everypony what they wanted. Celestia sat in wait as pony after pony came threw asking for something.

Some asked for simple and necessary things like food and water. Others asked for more then they needed or asked for the impossible. It was hard for Celestia to tell them that their was nothing she could do or that it was not her job to provide them with a more comfortable life. The day went on as some ponies met their request while others left empty handed. Celestia was getting weak as this went on. After some time their was a quick break and Celestia now brought another of Twilight's letters to read.

“Dear Princess Celestia.” Before she could read a single line she was already faced with another pony asking for something. She let out a sigh and listened to them. This day was far more busy then any other she has had before. Their was no time for her to take a break and read her letters. Before she knew it she was face down on her bed and passing out from exhaustion. She floated a letter from Twilight over her head as she tried her hardest to read the letter.

“Dear....Princess...Celestia” She could not help it. She fell asleep before reading her letter. Suddenly Celestia was awaken by a large gasp. She looked over to the side of her bed to see one of her servants looking right at her with widened eyes. She was terrified and trembling. Celestia asked her with concern. “What is wrong?” The pony just shook in play as she stuttered her words. “Cha.. Cha. Changling!”

Celestia's eyes widened as well as she looked down to see her black skin, grey blotted ragged mane and the holes in her hooves. She then looked to the servant pony as she tried to run away. Celestia teleported in front of the door as she tried to speak to the pony. “Please calm yourself.” The pony was frantic and in total disarray. Celestia then touched her horn to the ponies head as the pony passed out. She let out a sigh as she spoke to herself. “I will erase your memories of this day. Forgive me.”

She once again touched her horn to the ponies head as she now walked over to the table where Twilight's letter was. She picked it up and was about to read it when Luna came flying threw an open window. She looked over to her sister and then to the pony on the ground as she said. “So thou had a rather rough day yesterday?”

Celestia looked to her sister and said. “Yes I did. I was so busy I didnt get a chance to read one of Twilight’s letters.” Luna then looked over Celestia's shoulder and to Twilights letter as she said. “Why does thou get love from these letters. If thou were to get a mate then thous need for love would be quenched.” Celestia looked to her sister as she said. “I cannot do that. I know you and Cadance have found ones to love you, but I am not in the position to do such a thing. This kingdom needs me so I must remain loyal to it.”

Luna then stated. “But those letters cannot hold thou over for long. If thou were to miss but a single moment of reading then our true identity will be revealed.” Celestia looked to her letter and stated. “I know that but this is the only way I have found to get love without taking it or threw a mutual partner. I know it is a risk but for the time being its the only choice I got.” Luna was now getting ready to take off as she said. “Perhaps thou would make haste with her letter. It is almost another day of work.”

Celestia gave a nod as she looked to the letter and slowly read it. “Dear Princess Celestia.” As she slowly read every word a flow of love gave her a rush of magic. As she just sat and read her form slowly changed to the one that everypony knew. Her black skin turned to that perfect white coat. Her grey and blotchy ragged mane turned to her flowing colorful magical like mane. The holes in her hooves were covered as well.

“Your most Faithful Student. Twilight Sparkle.” Celestia let out a sigh as she looked to the mirror in front of her. She just looked at the mirror wondering why her subjects would never accept her as she truly was. She now got to her hooves and called out for someone to return the resting pony to her room. As Celestia went to her daily duties.
