The Merchant

You can skip the first part since it is just me explaining why me/my character likes the show and what got me/him into it in the first place, and what we the think of specific aspects of the show. Also, the building I will be talking about will be made up, I thought it would be a cool idea for the story. Also, should I or should I not censor the swears? Also, while you don't have to read the first few paragraphs, it will explain some questions you have later on. Also, please let me know later on if I should change the rating to mature or not. Also, if any of you can think of a villain nickname for my "me" please let me know in the comments.

The Merchant

I had been a video game nerd for a while, though not a big one. I knew and accepted this because I honestly didn't care that much. I say I wasn't a huge nerd because I was completely obsessed with video games, but I did frequently launch into long rants about my favorite games and practically everything about them. I didn't watch TV that much but there was one show that I enjoyed watching, and it was called The Lion Guard. Bet you didn't expect me to say that did you, you expected me to say My Little Pony, but that is where things get more interesting. You see, I first became interested with My Little Pony when I watched a fan made animation called "The Fall Of The Crystal Empire" and I became intrigued by what this show was about, so I watched the first few episodes. I was disappointed to say the least. I had actually expected something a bit different, mostly because I did no research on the show beforehand. But I am glad I didn't because I became interested with the villains in the show after Nightmare Moon though she was underwhelming due to her unused potential in the show. I mean, what good villain gets defeated in only two episodes and never come back at all in the entire show, I mean come on! There was so much potential!

Anyway, I began to only watch some of the more interesting episodes, largely by watching a reaction video to those episodes. I paid special attention to the season premieres and finales, and was pleasantly surprised by how interesting some of them were, especially the villains introduced in them. Discord was my favorite for a while, I mean, he is the type of villain I love, fun, mischievous, and playful, but with a darker and more evil side that still had his fun nature. The fact he was so powerful was icing to the cake, and I ate it more eagerly than Celestia. Then I saw King Sombra and became interested in his backstory, as well as his own untapped potential as a good villain. I find it sad and completely infuriating that not one but two villains with so much potential were just discarded, but at least Sombra was given a second chance. That's not to say I still wasn't highly disappointed. When I heard that he had been brought back in a new episode, had to see it.
To be fair to the writers, it is a show mostly for little kids, so there are limits to what they can put in it, and Sombra did have a pretty good plan. I had watched most of the season finales and premieres except for season 8 because I didn't get a chance to watch it and then I got caught up with the season 9 premiere.

Yet the first time Sombra showed up, he just charged ahead with no plan other than get to the crystal heart, he didn't try to stop Spike, or even block Cadence from reaching the heart, he just charged towards it. The second time around, he just attacked the Crystal Empire and brainwashed the guards and citizens, though it wasn't a bad idea for him to use Flurry Heart for leverage. Then to fake his death and track the Main 6 to the Tree of Harmony and destroy the Elements of Harmony was a good idea. But how did he think he would defeat Celestia and Luna? He didn't know they were gone doing their own thing, when he didn't see them anywhere, he just thought they fled in fear or something. Plus the idea of taking over all of Equestria was something he thought of on the fly, not something he planned out.r little kids, so there are limits to what they can put in it, and Sombra did have a pretty good plan. But I think he is more of a manipulator and deceiver kind of villain as opposed to the one who will just march into the enemy capital with an army. Chrysalis and Cozy Glow were much more manipulative and tactful about their approaches. I think that actually fits their personality and villain type well, with Chrysalis literally being the queen of a race of manipulators and tricksters, and Cozy Glow needing to do it since she has no actual magic of her own and therefore would never stand a chance in a direct confrontation. Even Tirek's approach was more thought out and tactful, sure it would have taken a while for him to build up enough stolen magic to begin to steal magic from large groups of ponies, but it would have worked had it not been for Celestia having a dream vision of him. (Speaking of that, why was she sleeping with her regalia on? And why was Luna apparently right outside her door? Actually
sounds slightly creepy when you think about why she was right outside her sisters door as she slept. Or maybe I'm just taking this too seriously.)

Anyway enough of me rambling, you came here to read a story, not listen to a critic review, so lets get started.

This was it, the chance to find out if the stories were true, if The Merchant was real, and if he could actually give people power, change them into whoever they were dressed as, and send them to Equestria. I had been saving a bunch of money for this occasion because if he was real, I intended to buy everything he had of interest before going to Equestria. In the stories he always had some really good stuff, and if they were true, then I was probably going to buy his entire stall, I just hoped he gave me a pocket dimension to carry my stuff like how some Displaced had. I know what your wondering, why would I willingly let myself be sent to another dimension with an uncertain outcome. But I have a plan, it may not work. Heck, it probably wouldn't, but if it did, then I would probably be one of the most powerful Displaced in the entire multiverse, able to go toe to toe with some of the best, after I get used to my powers and abilities that is. As I approached the newly built building where the gaming convention was taking place I go over my plan in my head again.

It had been built for the very purpose of hosting conventions bigger than any others the world has ever seen. It was 20 miles in every direction with inner walls that could all be retracted into the walls or folded onto the ceiling to make larger spaces when necessary. Not only that but you could even get on the roof and use that as well, it had the capability of holding several large gaming conventions at once. But this one would put all others to shame, for even the building, roof in full use and walls moved out of the way, it still sprawled out onto the yard of the place. Did I mention the yard, well it itself stretches out 10 miles and is another 5 wide, and it is almost filled all the way down. The reason why so many people were here was because every gaming company all worked together to set up so many attractions and deals that hardly anyone could resist coming here, even people from other countries came, thousands upon thousands flocking from overseas to come to the event. This is added on top of pretty much any serious gamer and there families and friends from here.

I knew that I would have to hurry if I wanted to find The Merchant before all of his stock was bought, that is if he had a limit to what he had, some of the stories suggested he never ran out of things to sell. I figured that he would probably be somewhere near the entrance in order to attract the most customers. I wasn't dressed as any particular character, I was hoping that I could just buy a costume from The Merchant. I walked inside and began to search around. I didn't have to buy a entry ticket since I already did so online several months ahead. I had barely managed to get one of the last tickets before they sold out, and it cost me several hundred dollars. But it would be worth it if I could find The Merchant.

After half an hour of searching, I saw something that looked promising, a large booth with various highly realistic looking objects. I grinned and approached the vendor. He was dressed as the merchant from Resident Evil and was currently not busy.

"Hello my good sir." I greeted happily.

He looked at me in the eye, and I swear he was staring right into my soul.

"Hello good fellow, what can I offer you today." He asked kindly.

I looked over his merchandise, and it was awesome. I saw Reapers shotguns from Overwatch, Majora's Mask from Zelda, a book of spells from The Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim, a vial of the Blacklight virus, a energy sword from Halo, a black light saber, a book of necromancy, a Needler from Halo, a battle rifle from Halo, seeker grenades from Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare, and many more. I was very tempted to just say "one of everything" and go from there, but I probably wouldn't be able to afford it all.

"First I have a question, are you The merchant, the one from the stories?" I asked nervously.

He didn't answer me for a moment, then he nodded in confirmation.

"Indeed I am, why do you ask?" He questioned curiously.

I couldn't believe my luck, but then I realized he may be pulling my leg, but if he was the real deal, I wanted to put my plan into action. What was my plan you ask? Ask him for certain perks of course!

"I wanted to know because I wanted to ask for some perks for my adventure through Equestria." I answered truthfully.

"What kind of perks?" He asked, leaning forward.

I took a deep breath, mentally going over my list. I had taken several hours composing a neat list of what I want. Twilight would be proud.

"Well certain abilities of course." I responded.

"Such as?"he said with a raised eyebrow.

"Well, any cursed artifacts or dangerous things I buy won't be able to kill or harm me, nor will they be able to do anything without my permission. And yes Majora's Mask, I'm talking to you especially, no crashing the moon into the planet or taking over my mind." I said while looking pointedly at said mask, which just sat there.

The Merchant chuckled in amusement before gesturing for me to continue.

"I will be able to summon any item in my inventory at will from a pocket dimension, by default be adept with every type of weapon, be able to summon the blueprints to build any thing from this world, as well as things from video games as well, and be able to create them. I want the ability to travel not only the the Equestrian multiverse, but also the human multiverse. I want superhuman strength, speed, reflexes, sight, hearing, and jumping abilities. I will be able to break the fourth wall of course, so I can have conversations with the author... I just realized that saying that just broke the fourth wall... oh well. I want the ability to manipulate the world around me like Discord can, and use dark magic like Sombra. I want the ability to communicate with any animal or monster. I want the ability to detect magical auras, be able to manipulate gravity, the ability to get stronger by feeding on any negative emotions and love as well. I want to be able to use any item or weapon used by others, even ones only certain others can use. I also want the ability to know information on any one I want, that being their name, age, species, status, reputation, and their powers and abilities. I want to be able to shape shift into any creature I want and be able to perfectly copy the looks of others like a Changeling. I want the ability to regenerate at a rapid rate and have strong physical and magical resistance to protect me. I want the ability to gain skills and level up as I go up and gain perk points to spend on skills and abilities. I also want to be able to resist mind control and mind reading. I also want to choose when and where I end up initially. I also want to be sent to the normal Equestria universe, not some alternate version like where you have sent others to. I want to be able to enter and manipulate the dreams of others as well. I also want the ability to steal magic, and the souls of others, giving me the memories, knowledge, and magic of those whose souls I steal. I want to be able to resurrect myself by using several captured souls. I also want to be able to see into the past. I want the ability to transform into a werewolf at will. I also want to be able to set totems and other items to absorb the souls of anyone who dies in a large radius around them. Just in case I also want to be able to resist going insane or be traumatized no matter what I see or hear." I listed off excitedly.

He blinked, then let out a good hearty laugh.

"I like you kid, you know what you want, so I'll give you all of that. Now, what would you like to take on your journey with you? I won't even charge you." He said happily.

I was bursting with excitement at this point. I started by listing off everything I previously mentioned. Then I looked around more and got two mini nuke launchers from Fallout with 10 nukes for each, a full set of power armor from Fallout, a MGL from Titanfall 2 with 50 grenades for it, about a thousand rounds of ammo for the other guns, the entire set of daedric weapons from Skyrim, a pilot suit from Titanfall 2 along with a keychain with a Vanguard-class Titan, a shotgun from a Call Of Duty, and a model of a field with several nuclear silos with nuclear missiles in them. You are probably wondering why that last one, well I suspected that it would become a real full size ones on the other side. But I wanted one last thing, a set of armor I hoped he could sell me.

"Do you take custom armor suggestions?" I asked him and he nodded.

I showed him a picture of what I wanted, and he grinned.

"You have good taste, this will certainly make you very intimidating." He said.

He went back into his booth, out of sight behind a shelf, then a few seconds later reemerged with what I wanted. It was a custom set of daedric armor from Skyrim, and it was badass (it is the one from the cover image).

I was bouncing with excitement by this point and was eager to get going.

"As a bonus I will give you the ability to enchant your weapons and armor at will." He told me brightly, making me even more excited.

"Before I forget, I want the ability to play any song from any world or game I want, and the ability to connect to this worlds internet with good connection with access to everything on it." I told him.

He chuckled "Consider it done, and if you ever want to buy something else, just call for me by flipping this." He said, handing me a golden token with the word "store" engraved on both sides.

I nodded "Will do. Well, goodbye for now, I hope to see you again soon, you have no idea how happy this makes me." I told him.

He nodded and waved goodbye, then my world faded to black.

Arrival and gaining allies

I woke up in a thick forest laying on my back, and I sat up groggily. I briefly wondered what had happened, then my memory suddenly came back, and I smiled. Then I began to laugh, loudly and maniacally, as I realized my plan had worked better than I had expected and now I was probably the most powerful being in the world. I stopped when I heard growling, and I turned to see a pack of about 20 Timberwolves approaching me. I grinned widely, and I summoned fire in my hands and looked for the leader. I spotted him in the back of the pack watching, he was easily three times larger than me and could bit me in half if he wanted to, but I wasn't going to give him a chance. I launched a fireball at him and charged. The spell caught it off guard and struck it squarely in the chest, exploding in a fireball. I knew it wouldn't take it down, but it would make it weaker and stun it. I could have destroyed it with that attack, but I wanted the other Timberwolf's to recognize me as their leader and Alpha, so defeating their current Alpha in hand to hand (claw?) combat would get the recognition I needed.

The others tried to lunge at me, but I just jumped over their heads and tackled the Alpha before it could recover. I wrapped my hands around it's neck and squeezed with all my might, causing it to thrash around to shake me off. I held on as tightly as I could, but was thrown into a tree, hitting my head against it. Hard. I tried to think through the daze the impact put me in, and squinted to clear my blurry vision. As I did, I saw the Alpha lunge at me, fangs aimed for my throat. I got an idea, and I concentrated, imagining reaching into my inventory, and grabbing a particular item. Suddenly, I had my energy sword in my hand, and I stabbed forward with it, impaling my adversary in the chest, it's momentum knocking me back. I watched as it weakly thrashed around as it died, claws reaching out to try to kill me. Finally, it went limp and the light in it's eyes faded, before crumbling into a pile of wood. Suddenly a screen popped up in front of me telling me I had leveled up and had increased my hand to hand combat skill. I saw that there were many different skill trees not unlike the ones in Skyrim, all of the per trees from that game here along with more. I put the perk point I had gained from this into a perk in my destruction spells tree that increased the damage done by fire spells.

I stood up and looked at the rest of the pack, who stood there, looking stunned. Then one that was slightly larger than the rest began to approach me, growling menacingly. I decided to see if I could control my powers, and stretched my hand towards the wolf. I closed my eyes and reached out with my senses and felt the magic that gave the creature it's life, and held it together. I grabbed that magic, and pulled. I opened my eyes and saw a green light streaming out of the wolf towards my outstretched hand. As it made contact, I began to feel stronger. I hadn't noticed previously, but I felt weak, but not physically, it felt lie something in me had run out energy, and now it was regaining that energy. I realized that this must be my magic, and the life force of the wolf was giving me back my magic, which was almost completely depleted. I was thankful for this, as I must have used more of my magic than I thought with that fireball. If I had made it immediately kill the Alpha, I probably would have completely deplete what little magic I had.

The wolf I was draining tried to continue to approach me, but it's movements were becoming slow and sluggish, and it began to slowly crumble as the light in it's eyes began to fade. After a few more seconds, the light had completely faded and it crumbled into pieces. I then looked back to the other wolves, and they immediately lowered there heads submissively. I grinned evilly at that. It looked like my plan had worked and I was the Alpha now.

"Alright you mutts, listen up!" I said loudly.

They froze in surprise that I could talk to them.

"Who are you?" One of them asked timidly.

"Just call me master for now. Take me to your den." I ordered.

They lead me to a nearby cave with five more wolf's guarding the entrance. They were surprised and impressed to find out that I had beaten the Alpha and that I was now the leader. I looked in the den and saw that it was actually a rather large cave with a collapsed tunnel at the end.

"Why is this tunnel collapsed?" I asked them.

"It was like this when we first got here master." One of them answers.

I decide to see what is on the other side, so I use my magic and focus on the rocks, and pull them away. I watch as a red aura envelops my hand and surrounds the rocks, moving them out of the way. After I cleared the rocks, I sat down, slightly winded from the effort. The wolfs seem hesitant to say anything, so I turn to them.

"Send a hunting party out to bring me some food while I search this tunnel." I order them.

A screen appeared in front of me telling me I had once again leveled up, and had increased both my magic skill and leadership skills. I decided to put the perk point into a diplomacy perk in the leadership skill tree. I then walked into the tunnel and lit a fire in my hand to give me some light. The tunnel went on for about one hundred yards before I found a dead end. I frowned in disappointment, then I looked more closely at the walls around me. I hadn't taken much notice before, but the walls were different from the cave I had entered from. In some areas, they were highly jagged and rough, while in others, there were almost too smooth and even. Some of the rocks also seemed to have chips and pieces taken out of them. And the wall in front of me was also strangely smooth, not completely, but it was definitely smooth. Examining the area more closely, I discovered a single stalagmite near the corner of the tunnel, which was definitely out of place here. I noticed a hairline fracture all around the tip of it near the top, and I pulled it off. I saw that the entire thing was hollow and there was a lever in it. Grinning I pulled it, and a loud grinding noise filled the tunnel as the wall behind me pulled into the ceiling, revealing a dark passageway made out of stone bricks.

The level up screen popped up again and I saw that my observation and intelligence skills had both increased several levels, granting me two skill points. I decided to save those for later and advanced down the passageway. The entire passage was obviously old if the moss growing on the stones and the cobwebs all over the place were any indication. On the way I found several torch sconces with torches that I lit along the way. After walking for about 20 minutes, I found a dead end once again. I examined everything around me for a possible switch, and I noticed one particular stone seemed to be loose. I pulled it out and found a button, and was about to press it but hesitated. The stone being loose had actually been a little too obvious for someone who obviously had gone through great lengths to hide this place. So I looked around and noticed another loose stone nearby, this one not as obvious. This one also had a button behind it, so I pressed it. Another loud grinding noise echoed through the passage as the wall slid upwards to reveal a dark room beyond. I was notified of leveling up again through increasing my observation and intelligence skills.

Pressing onwards, I was startled by lights suddenly flaring on, flooding the room with light. It was a large circular chamber with several doors with a sign above each. One said armory, another said barracks, another lead to a forge, another to the kitchen, and another to a war room. Curiously, I entered the war room and saw a large circular table with seats in various states in decay around it. There was some papers on the table and on the floors. I picked up a few to try to get information from them. The papers were yellowed with age and I couldn't read most of the words. Then I got an idea, using my magic, I began to restore the paper I was holding to it's original state, and the yellow slowly faded, the words once agin to become readable, and all other damages were fixed. Now I began to read.

Dear Commander of the Everfree Outpost

Scouts have reported that the Griffins are moving in mass numbers through the Everfree forest and are closing in on your position, and while I am confident they will not find the Outpost, you will be forced to stay inside until they can be cleared out, which will prove highly difficult. Your orders are to evacuate before they arrive and report to the general in Ponyville for further instructions.

The rest of the page was missing for some reason, it seemed torn off completely. I became curious as to what happened to the ponies stationed here and wondered if I could cast a spell to see what happened. I imagined looking in the past, to when this letter was received by the commander, and suddenly, everything turned gray around me. The spectral forms of several pony stallions in armor appeared. I saw two unicorns and a pegasus, with the pegasus holding the letter and reading it out loud. They didn't seem to notice me so I watched as he ordered the two unicorns to get everyone to pack up anything they could carry, and they hurried off to do so. The pegasus rubbed his face with his hoof while looking distressed.
After about an hour, the garrison of about 15 ponies was ready and they exited the outpost and I followed. They exited the cave without issue and began their trek through the forest. But then a loud screech like that of an eagle pierced through the air and about 20 armored griffons leaped from hidden spots around the group, catching them completely off guard. They tried to fight back they were outnumbered and surrounded, and they were cut down with only one griffon casualty. The pegasus commander tried to flee, but was grabbed by one of the griffons who then ripped his wing off, causing the commander to howl in agony. I watched in horror as they were ripped and torn apart by their griffon attackers, and I ended the spell. I was once again back in the war room, but I could still hear the tortured screams and cries for mercy, mercy that they wasn't given to them.

I felt a rage inside me grow, so I took a deep breath as I reasoned that the griffons were punished for such atrocities after the war, I mean, there is no way Celestia would let someone get away with doing things like that to her little ponies. I decided to go to Twilight's castle and learn more about the Griffon war. Then I entered the forge and after a quick inspection, deemed it able to be used, it just needed some fuel, so I summoned several pounds of coal and fired it up. Then I looked around the room more and grinned as I saw many, many materials lining the shelves. Getting set up, I thought about what I could craft, and decided to create some armor for my Timberwolves. After a few minutes, I had successfully crafted the first set, and I set to work on the rest. They were a full body armor made out of steel plating that was three inches thick with chain mail covering the more exposed parts such the joints and neck, and window of reinforced glass covered their eyes I then enchanted them to be highly resistant to magical and physical attacks. I also made it fireproof. By this point I had leveled up several times and put most of the skill points into crafting and enchanting. Now I had to think of weapons for them to use. They couldn't carry melee weapons, so I would have to make their claws deadlier. The claws were reinforced steel that could cut through most armors in this world. I made sure that the claws and armor were enchanted to grow and expand with the Timberwolves, and would always fit comfortably. I also enchanted it so it wouldn't get in the way of their mobility and speed. As an afterthought, I enchanted the claws so they would absorb the souls of any victims killed with them, and I embedded 1 soul gem in each claw, and if they are filled up, the energy can be released as a powerful magic attack or absorbed by me to give me strength. An extra gem was placed inside the armor near the chest that would absorb any excess magic in the air passively and could use that magic to heal any serious wounds on the wearer or boost their strength and speed.

I placed the armor and claws in my inventory and began my trek back to the den. As I walked, I debated as to what I should put my last two skill points into. I eventually decided on a perk from the observation tree that would allow me to notice much smaller detail I wouldn't normally be able to. The other I put into how fast I can read a book. When I arrived, I noticed that the hunting party had returned with but without any food, I also noticed that some were nursing injuries.

"What happened?" I asked.

They all turned to me in surprise. Then one of them spoke up.

"A rival pack attacked our hunting party and we were forced to retreat to survive. They are larger and stronger than us, but we are faster." He informed me.

I grinned as a plan formed in my head. I pulled out a set of the armor and they all stared at in in shock.

"This armor will protect you from any hits that they can land on you, as well as protect you against magic and fire to a certain extent. I have enough for each of you. They will also be able to absorb the souls and magic of enemies you've killed in battle, which can be released as a strong magic attack, or give me more strength. The magic absorbed will be automatically used by your armor to heal any serious wounds you sustain or boost your strength and speed." I told them while smiling proudly.

I pulled out the rest of the sets and helped the wolves equip them. Then I pulled out the claws.

"These claws will be able to cut through the toughest armor in this world, so cutting some wolves made of wood should be really easy." I explained and helped attach them.

Then we set out towards the enemy den, which was only a mile away. We creeped up to the tree line around the entrance to their cave, and waited for an opportunity. The Timberwolf's on the outside were easily twice the size of my smallest wolf, but there was only about 10 of them. I put on my custom daedric armor and pulled out my daedric sword. The moment none of them were looking I charged at them with my pack behind me. I know that calling them my pack may sound weird, but they were surprisingly humanlike, just more driven by their instincts and were of course more wild. I saw them as good friends, and anyone who hurts my friends will pay.

Author's Note

I may accidentally write in third person sometimes out of habit, please let me know when I do so and I'll correct it. Also, sorry if the information of the Pony-Griffon war is inaccurate, I made it up for plot convenience, and I couldn't find any information on the war after searching for a whole minute, so I was to lazy to look more. Also, if any of you can think of a villain nickname for my "me" please let me know in the comments.

Secrets and anger

The enemy pack was caught off guard and were barely able to face us before we crashed into them in a flurry of claws and teeth. Several died before they were able to get their bearings and fight back, only for their claws to bounce off the armor and there teeth to break on it. I tackled one wolf who had one of mine pinned and slashed at it with my sword, decapitating it cleanly. There was only one left now, the leader, a big brute who was almost twice the size of the former Alpha of my pack. My wolves made a circle around him as I approached.

"You think you can defeat me you ape?!" He yelled in rage.

Instead of answering, I charged him with my sword and slid under him. I stabbed the blade upwards as I slid beneath him, slicing clean through him. Despite this fatal injury, and the amount of sap blood seeping out of it, the Alpha turned towards me and tried to bite me. I responded by slicing off his lower jaw, which immediately collapsed onto the ground in a pile of wood splinters. He backed up, and pounced at me. I ran underneath him and sliced off his right foreleg. He collapsed onto the ground in a heap, and I decided to end this. I stretched out my hand, and began to absorb his life force. Less than a minute later, he was nothing more than a large pile of wood scraps.

My pack cheered and applauded my victory, and I bowed. We went back to our den in a good mood. It was still early in the evening so I decided it would be a good idea to head to Ponyville now. He decided to bring two of his wolves with him for protection and left the rest in the den. Before leaving, I absorbed about half of the souls my pack captured and stored the rest in case I have to resurrect myself. After an hour of traveling through the forest, we finally arrived. I saw no ponies around at the moment, so we snuck around to the Twilight's castle. Still seeing no pony around, we quickly entered. After a few minutes of searching, we found the library. I know I should probably introduce myself to Twilight, but I knew that if I did that, then I would never get a chance to find out about the war. As I navigated the neatly organized sections, I found what I was looking for. Several history books on the Griffon-Pony war were lined neatly on the shelves. My wolves positioned themselves so they would see anyone approaching and warn me. It only took a few minutes to read through them, but what confused me was the fact that none of them mentioned any atrocities committed during the war. Sure it mentioned that ponies and griffons died, but not once did it mention any massacres or unjust killings. I began to suspect that someone was hiding something, so I decided to use my magic. I closed my eyes and imagined going back to the time of the war, to when the war ended, and where the treaty was signed. I knew that had been in Canterlot since I read it. I found myself in the throne room where Princess Celestia was sitting on her throne reading a scroll while the Griffon emperor stood before her. I quickly read the scroll and saw it was the treaty. It stated that both sides would immediately cease and desist all hostile activities, give back any captured territory and release all POW's. But it was the last term that caught my attention. It said that any records of any atrocities committed by the griffons would be burned and never be written down.

"I think this treaty would benefit both of our nations greatly. I agree to these terms. I hope that once tensions have died down, ponies and griffons can be friends." Celestia said.

"Thank you princess, I knew that you would do what is best for your little ponies." He said with a hint of smugness.

I didn't hear the rest of the conversation because I stood there shocked by this. I couldn't believe it, Celestia had let them get away with those kinds of things. I had to know what the other things they did were, so I travelled back to the first one. It was after large battle as the field littered with bodies indicated. The griffons were dragging the pony corpses to large bonfire and burned to a crisp. Then I saw a large number of pony prisoners chained up nearby. There had to of been about two hundred of them in total. Most were sporting injuries varying from cuts and bruises to missing libs and broken bones.

Then a large griffon in golden armor appeared flanked by several guards, he must be the commander. He approched one particular stallion who looked like he had been tortured. His face was deformed and covered in cuts and bruises, one leg looked broken, another looked to have been cut off, one of his ears looked was also gone.

"You refused to give us information, so now your soldiers will pay the price." He said.

The stallion looked at them fearfully as griffons began to drag the prisoners towards the bonfire. I turned away and tried to ignore the screams of agony from them as they were burned alive. I skipped to the next event. This time a small pony town was being occupied by the griffon forces, and all of the civilians were crowded in the center, surrounded. A group of ponies were pushed to the ground in front of them. There was three stallions, two mares, a little filly and two colts. They were forced into a neat and orderly line in front of the crowd.

"These fools thought that they could escape, that they could defy us, so we will make an example of them for anyone else who thinks they can disobey us." One griffon said.

A griffon carrying a large axe approached the group, who were forced onto their needs. He approached one of the colts, and raised his axe. Having seen enough, he moved on to the next event. This time, griffon forces were surrounding a pony military fort. At first everything seemed fine, then they pulled several strange canisters and many began to flap their wings in the direction of the fort.

"No, it couldn't be-

The canisters were opened and a noxious yellow smoke poured out of them, immediately rushing towards the fort. I had to know what it did, so I forced myself to enter the fort and watch. The ponies had been caught off guard by the yellow mist, and were unprepared for it when it arrived. At first, they just coughed and choked, then they began to hack up blood and their fur began to fall of. Soon they were bleeding out of their eyes, nose, and ears. Their tortured cries filled my ears and I moved on. Three more scenes like these played out before me, three times my ears were filled with cries of agony and sorrow, and my rage grew. I was thankful that I had asked for immunity to going insane and being traumatized, otherwise I'd be a babbling mess by now.

As I returned back to the present, I took a deep breath, thinking about everything that Celestia had covered up and hidden. The griffins did those kinds of and what does Celestia do? Forgive them and become their fucking friends! And they got away with things like this pretty much scot-free! I was going to make them pay for those horrible acts, and make Celestia pay for forgiving them. But first, I was going to have to build up my strength, then I remembered I still had an entire inventory of stuff I could reek havoc with. I grinned as I imagined the damage that my mini nukes could cause. Suddenly one of my wolves let out a low pitched growl, warning me of someone approaching. I sat up, replaced the books and moved to meet whoever it was. I was surprised to see it was Starlight Glimmer, but not as as surprised she was. She charged up her horn for an attack, but I quickly held up my hands.

"Wait! I don't mean any harm Starlight." I said quickly.

Using her name was risky, but it was a measured risk that could keep her from doing something stupid. It seemed to work because her horn stopped glowing and I sighed in relief.

"Who are you and how do you know my name!" She demanded with slight nervousness.

I couldn't blame her for being a little afraid, my armor was quite intimidating.

"My name is Jack, and I came here to research a certain topic. What I found is the opposite of what I had hoped for." I explained. "As for knowing your name, I actually know a lot of things. You are Princess Twilight Sparkle's student, after you friend Sunburst got his cutie mark years ago and left to attend Celestia's school for gifted unicorns, you became to afraid to make another friend for fear a cutie mark would take them away too. Then you took over your village and took away everyones cutie marks and fed them lie after lie about "equality". Then Twilight and her friends arrived and you took their cutie marks. But they revealed you to be a fraud and that you still had your cutie mark. They freed the town from your tyranny and you ran away. Later you took a time travel spell written by Starswirl The bearded and revised it. Using it to travel back in time, you stopped Rainbow Dash from performing her sonic rainboom, preventing Twilight and the others from getting their cutie mark connection. And in doing so you nearly destroyed Equestria."

She stood there shocked, but I wasn't done yet.

"After Twilight convinced you that you didn't have to seek revenge, you became her student and friend. Later on, you helped with growing rift between Celestia and Luna. Then you also grouped up with three other reformed villains, Trixie, Discord, and Thorax when the Changelings kidnapped and replaced Twilight and the others, Celestia, Luna, Cadence, and Shining Armor. Together you all infiltrated Queen Chrysalis's hive and you realized that to defeat Chrysalis, you had to take her army away so you and Thorax showed them that they can give love freely instead of taking it. This lead to the Changelings all reforming except for Chrysalis, who you offered friendship to, who refused and ran away. You are very powerful Starlight Glimmer, not just in magic, but also intellect that rivals even Twilight, whose knowledge resides more in magical theory than planning, manipulation, strategizing, not to mention she is a lot more close minded than you. If you wanted, you could take her down, even though she is an Alicorn." I finished.

After several minutes of stunned silence, she cleared her throat.

"You seem to know a lot about me, yet I know nothing about you." She said shakily.

She was very afraid now, and that fear was making me stronger. Not strong enough to beat her in a direct confrontation, but it was still a relief.

"I only recently arrived in this world but have already learned many things, terrible things that have been hidden and covered up. Before I came here, I knew quite a lot, and now I realize that this world is not as innocent as it seems." I said with venom.

She shuddered at my tone "What kind of things?" She asked fearfully.

"Ever heard of the Griffon-Pony War? Well it turns out it was much more violent and bloody than you know. More so than any pony else know except for one. Princess Celestia. She has kept things secret from you all that should they come to light, would incite rebellion and anarchy, especially among the nobility." I continued.

She was about to say something, but suddenly the doors of the library flew open.

"Starlight! Did you find the boo-" She stopped when she saw me.

She charged up her horn and teleported Starlight somewhere out of sight and fired a shot at me. I dodged and began to think. I had to stop this fight before anything bad happened. I was considering jumping out a window when a pink barrier slammed me to the ground, and I was surround by Twilight's telekinetic grip. I tried to speak, only to find I couldn't, so i tried to stand. I slowly began to make progress, as I got onto my knees, then one foot, then the other. As I did this Twilight began to panic and quickly grabbed a quill and paper in her magic. She furiously scribbled down a quick message and yelled for Spike loudly.

A minute later he entered the library, but stood in shock when he saw me.

"Spike! Send this letter to Celestia quick! I can't hold it off for long!" She panted with strain.

I began to growl with frustration as I was forced back to my knees, then I stood up again and began to advance towards her. She began to back up towards the door, so I forced my hand up, and enveloped the door in my magical grip, slamming them shut and then blocking them with a large bookshelf. Spike grabbed the letter and burned it with his green fire.

In Canterlot Castle, Princess Celestia was sitting on her balcony enjoying a cup of tea and a considerably large slice of cake. Suddenly, in a burst of flame, a letter appeared in front of her. Grabbing it in her golden magic, she read it.

Dear Celestia

There is some sort of monster in my castle. I am trying to contain it, but I can't hold it off for very long, and it is resisting my telekinesis no matter how much power I put into it! Please send help!

Twilight Sparkle

Celestia quickly reread the letter, then stood up straight.

"Guards!" She yelled.

Two guards burst through her door and saluted her.

"Princess! What is wrong?" One of them asked.

"Princess Twilight is in trouble, she fighting some sort of monster in her castle. Get a platoon of guards and send them to Ponyville immediately. I will go on ahead to ensure her safety." She ordered.

Before they could say anything, she charged her horn and teleported away, leaving the dumbstruck guards standing there.
Both of them eyed the half eaten cake slice, then looked at each other.

"I won't tell any pony if you don't." One of them said.

"Tell any pony what?" The other responded.

Meanwhile in the Castle of Friendship

Spike was frantically trying to push the bookshelf out of the way while he and Twilight were backed up against it as I advanced. I wasn't going to hurt them, much. I felt it would hurt Celestia a good bit if her prized student were injured. By this point, Twilights magic had weakened enough that I could talk, and I was now advancing at while still slow pace, much faster one. I was only ten feet way by now, but then she summoned a barrier and used push me back, causing me to skid back another ten.

"Don't worry, I won't hurt you too much Twilight Sparkle. But this could really hurt Celestia to know that she was the cause of her precious student to get hurt." I said gleefully.

She seemed confused by this.

"What are you taking about!? What do you have against her?" She asked with dread.

The fear of both of them was very rejuvenating, to the point that I was steadily gaining strength. 15 feet away.

"A reckoning is coming for her, and justice will be served to her and those she conspired with. They will all pay for what they did!" I roared.

Ten feet away.

She tried to push me back again, but I just absorbed the weak barrier. I wasn't playing anymore.

"What do you mean? Please, whatever has gotten you so angry, I'm sure we could talk it out!" She said pleadingly.

Three feet away. As a last attempt, she used her magic to push me forward, and that combined with the force I was using to move forward sent me flying over the two of them and into the door. I shook off the impact and turned to see her running with Spike on her back towards a window as fast as she could in her exhausted state. I quickly stood up and gave chase, determined to catch her. I quickly closed the ground, but she jumped through the window before I could grab her. She spread her wings to fly away, only for my red magic aura to grab her and pull her back towards me. She struggled in my magical grip, as I pulled her face to face with me.

"Remember this day Twilight Sparkle. For today, you pay only a small amount of the price that Celestia will have to pay when I get her. Today, you will realize that not even she is as kind and lovable as you think. You have thought that while she may have faults, she is guilty of worse things than you can imagine." I told her menacingly, making her fear reach even greater heights.

I could have done this sooner, but I wanted her fear to feed me and make me even stronger. Before I could drop her though, I saw a bright golden light in the corner of my eye caught my attention. Realizing what it was, I placed Twilight in front of it. The blast knocked both of us out of the library onto the ground below. I quickly regained my bearing to see Celestia herself checking Twilight's injuries. I quickly stood up and drew my sword, charging my magic in my left hand. This drew her attention, and she turned to face me.

"Surrender now fiend or pay the price!" She said angrily.

I stared at her, then I began to laugh.

"Pay the price huh! No Sunbutt, it is you that will pay the price for what you have done. I know your secrets. Probably not all of them, but one very big and important one. I wonder what else you've hidden from everyone, including your own sister." I snorted angrily.

This seemed to confuse and anger her, as her horn began to charge. But despite her initial attack, I was even stronger now because I was feeding of the love Celestia had for her student and her other little ponies. Not to mention her anger was strong, and that was making me stronger than ever. By this point I could hold my own in a fight against Starlight, but still not beat her. I couldn't defeat her yet though, I wanted to make a point, and this wouldn't work, I needed a large audience, preferably all of Equestria, if not all of Equis. So I decided to retreat for now. I hadn't learned how to teleport yet, so I decided to do the next best thing. I charged her head on, my sword at the ready. What she didn't expect me to do was leap over her and grab Twilight. I could have just kept running, but I needed to keep her from following. She took a step towards me, and I raised my sword to Twilight's neck.

"One more step and she dies!" I threatened.

She stopped and stared at me angrily.

"Now I will slowly back away, and you will not intervene, every step you take in my direction will result in one of her legs being cut off. Cooperate and she will be returned unharmed." I continued.

I hated to do this, I really did, but I needed to get out of here alive, and this was the only way. I slowly backed up, and entered the Everfree Forest. I left her not far from the tree line and bolted towards the Castle of the Two Sisters. I needed to lead her in the wrong direction to avoid being tracked later. About halfway, I used my magic to cover my tracks, and switched directions. After two hours, I arrived back at the den. Fortunately, my two wolves I had brought with me had come back as well, knowing they couldn't help me no matter how much they wanted too. I was hungry, so I was very thankful that they had managed to gather several rabbits for me to eat. I lit a fire with my magic and cooked them. After eating them I summoned and king size bed and laid down to sleep. Today had been very hectic, and I needed to rest after that ordeal.

Author's Note

Alright, I hope you enjoyed this chapter. Sorry if it may seem a bit rushed, but I wanted to get to the first confrontation as soon as possible, and this was a good opportunity to do it, right after I find out what Celestia hid, when the anger and pain is still fresh and burning hot. Let me know of any corrections I should make, possible villain names for "me", and any other things you want to say.

Dream walking and farming power from negative emotions

I opened my eyes to see a starry void with hundreds of glowing bubbles all around me. I stood up and walked closer to one. I saw a a scene of Fluttershy surrounded by her animals enjoying a picnic with them and Discord. I realized that I must be in the dream realm. When I realized I decided that I should be cautious, otherwise I could draw Luna's attention. But I could use this ability to farm some magic by feeding off of the fear ponies experience during a nightmare. I wondered if I could amplify the amount of fear they feel during nightmares to give me even more energy. I decided to test this out and searched for some pony having a nightmare. I soon came across one that showed Celestia looking out of her window over the bodies of hundreds of ponies littering the streets of Canterlot.

I entered the dream and turned invisible, and watched her from teh doorway. The sorrow she experienced was so intense that I wouldn't even have to amplify her emotions to gather strength from it. Then her emotions turned to a burning rage, one so raging that it gave me even more power than the sorrow did, an dit was a little addicting. The power I was gaining from feeding off her emotions was rapidly filling my mostly empty magic reserves, though it was still a long way to go before it was filled completely, or even halfway. This surprised me very much, as I hadn't previously realized just how large my magic reserves were. Sure I had hoped for them to be large, but this exceeded my wildest expectations. I knew that by directly sucking Celestia's emotions out of her would give me a large amount of magic, but it could make her suspicious of me, and I didn't know if it would have consequences for her in the real world. So I decided to only partially drain her emotions. I stretched my hand towards her and grabbed hold of her sadness, grief, and anger, and absorbed some of it. I felt a surge of energy that gave me more almost twice as much energy as I had gained from passively absorbing her emotions. Then I decided to coax more out of her.

I turned visible and transformed into a large, swirling mass of black and red spiky tentacles with a large, blood red eye in the center. She suddenly stiffened, probably sensing his presence behind her. She turned and froze at the sight of me. I mentally grinned at her shocked and terrified expression. Already fear was beginning to take root inside her, so I used my powers to give that seed some super growth speed.

"So Celestia, how does it feel that this is all your fault? That your the one who caused this to happen? That because of you, many of your precious little ponies are dead. And now, it is your turn." I said menacingly.

My seed of fear was already growing into a sapling, and Celestia's legs were trembling slightly. I began to laugh maniacally, and am not bragging when I say it is a laugh that would make even Grogar impressed.

"You won't win. Even if you were to defeat me, Twilight and her friends would defeat you." She said shakily, but with confidence.

I was impressed by her determination and faith she had in her former student and the other Elements of Harmony. Besides, I wasn't sure if I would kill her or not, because for all of her mistakes and faults, she ran all of Equestria by herself for a thousand years, plus Luna was probably still not ready for taking the brunt of the work Celestia does. I mentally sighed. As much as I hated it, I would probably need to let her live and stay in power. But then what? If I went through with my plan, then no one would listen to her, and the nobles would probably try to seize power from her, which would be a very bad thing. I would have to think more about this later.

"And what will stop me from doing to them what I did to those ponies outside? What s to stop me from sneaking into their homes and killing them in their sleep? Or maybe I could face them more directly, and kill them anyway. I could even use their loved ones against them to get them to back down and surrender." I said smugly.

She had no answer for that, and she just stood there, staring at him with a fearful, but determined expression. By now the seed had grown from a sapling to a young tree, and the feeding on that fear was making me stronger by the second. By this point I can confidently say I am at about 35% power, and was steadily climbing. I began to advance towards her, and she began to back up. I slammed a tentacle next to her, breaking right through the floor. Another slammed through the wall. I jabbed a third tentacle at her head, which she ducked under.

"It is over Celestia, the Elements don't even know what is happening here. And they won't know that I will be coming for them. I will take them out before they even become a threat to me. Don't worry, I will save Twilight for last, but she will be forced to watch as everything she has known is taken from her. Only then, at her worst, her most miserable state, will I kill her." I told her.

Her eyes widened as she realized the truth of my words. The young tree of fear was now a giant Oak Tree that had already brought my energy level up to 48% and was growing at an ever increasing pace. She turned and ran towards the balcony, grabbing a quill and paper in her magic at the same time. I tried to grab her with my tentacles, only for her to teleport onto the balcony and take flight. She began frantically writing as she flew, and I changed my form into a giant shadowy bird of prey and gave chase. My much larger wings (and subtle manipulations to the dream to make me faster than should be possible) allowed me to quickly gain on her. Looking at the letter, I saw that it was almost complete. At the last second, I dove towards her and slashed her flank, causing her to scream in pain, and dropping the paper. I grabbed it in my beak, and flew after her as she tried to regain her balance. I then grabbed her in my large talons and threw her at the ground at high speeds. She crashed through a ouse and onto the street below, making a small crater with the force of the impact. I landed in front of her as she tried to stand, and transformed back into the swirling mass of tentacles. I held the paper in front of my eye and pretended to scrutinize it.

"Let's see here. Dear Twilight Sparkle, you and your friends are in grave danger. A powerful monster is chasing me and I don't think I can defeat it. It told me that it will come for you and your friends, and possibly your families as well. Gather everyone you all hold dear and find a safe place to hide until you can think of a way to stop it. I know you can do this, and save Equestria once again." I read aloud.

Then I burned the paper in black flames, and she stared at the ashes of it on the ground in front of her. Despair had taken root now, and it had already grown to the size of a large tree. As for her fear, it was now the size of a small mountain, and it was amazing. I was already up to 64% power and that was quickly growing. I slowly approached Celestia, and she scrambled away, only to yelp in pain as it appeared one of her legs was broken. I then realized that if I let her fear get any stronger, she could have a heart attack, if that was possible for a pony. I decided to drain enough of her emotions to numb her slightly. I stretched out my tentacles towards her and began draining her. After a minute, her fear and despair were pretty much gone, only a small amount of them remained. I was stronger than ever now, since I was now at 86% power. I decided that was enough, and it was time to end this. I raised a tentacle, and slammed it down on her with all my might. The dream began to quickly fade to black as I urged her to wake up.

In the real world, Celestia quickly sat up in her bed panting heavily and eyes darting around the room fearfully. A few seconds later, Luna through the doors open.

"Sister! I felt a disturbance in the dream realm! What happened?" She asked frantically.

Celestia tried to compose herself, but strangely could not remember her dream. She tried, but her mind still drew a blank.

"I...I can't remember Luna. I know I must have had a terrible nightmare, but I can't seem to remember it." She said in a confused tone.

Luna seemed more concerned than confused. Not only had Celestia woke up from a nightmare right as Luna felt a disturbance that had rippled throughout the dream realm, but she could not recall what the nightmare was. All of this combined hinted at some pony causing trouble in the dream realm and obviously did something to Celestia, but erased her memories of the event.

"Sister, I think that some pony has done something to your memories after doing something to you in your dream. Accessing and altering memories through dreams is something even I cannot do, and I am the princess of the night." She said worriedly. "I can try to undo whatever they did to your memories, but if they did this in the first place through a dream, then I will have to do the same. Hopefully because they already did this, it will make accessing your memories easier."

Celestia nodded in understanding and laid down to go back to sleep. A few minutes later, her gentle breathing was the only sound in her room. Luna entered the dream realm, and approached her sisters dream. She saw that Celestia was in Day Court, listening to a noble proposing a tax raise on the lower classes. She entered, but for some reason, she ended up in the palace garden. At first, nothing seemed wrong, but then she felt another presence in the dream. She turned to find a dark swirling mass filling most of her view. Then it began to condense into a bipedal form, that formed two arms and legs. Then more detail became clear. It wore a set of demonic looking, menacing armor that covered it from head to toe, and a large, serrated sword of the same design was holstered on it hip. Luna flared her wings and prepared her magic, ready for a fight. Then the figure removed it's helmet, revealing tan face, smooth with youth, with a smallish nose, brown eyes, and black spiky hair.

"Now now Luna, we don't have to fight. I know that your here to find out what I did to your sister, and I assure you that will have no harmful effects in the long run. All I did was use her to gather strength, then erase the memory, since doing otherwise would give her the wrong idea about my goals." He said in a bored tone.

Luna hesitated "What do you mean?" She asked carefully.

"You see, I happened to stumble across her having a nightmare of looking out over Canterlot, with the bodies of hundreds of ponies littering the streets. I decided to use my dream manipulation abilities, as well as some taunting in a much more terrifying form, to make her angry, and afraid." I told her.

"And why would you do that?" She asked angrily.

"I can gain strength from feeding off of negative emotions, and just passively gathering those emotions she was emitting was giving me a lot of strength. I claimed all of the dead ponies as my doing, and said that Twilight Sparkle and her friends were next after I killed her. By the end of it, I had to directly drain her emotions almost completely less she have a heart attack. I am still not at full strength however, but thankfully, it seems that messing with your sister has made you very angry, and it has provided a small amount of energy. Thank you for that." I said smugly.

I laughed at her surprised expression. But before she could retort, I continued.

"But as for my actual goal, let's just say that Celestia did something in her past that she got away with, as well as those she conspired with. She is the only one alive who know about this from what I'm aware of, and she is my target for vengeance. Of course, I can still make her accomplices pay in another way. That is all I for now, the rest you have to wait to find out. Also, I wouldn't recommend trying to access Celestia's memories, doing so could break her, I barley managed to do it without making her vegetable, so for you to do so as well will be too much. Now I will wake her up real quick." I told her.

I pulled out my sword, and before Luna could do anything else, I threw it into the castle. A few seconds later, a scream was heard, and the world faded to black. Celestia woke up with a gasp, and Luna snapped back to the real world as well. They both took a moment to regain their bearings, then turned to each other.

"I encountered the being who altered your memories, and he told me that he only did so because he didn't want you to get the wrong idea about his plans." She informed her sister.

Celestia was confused, so Luna explained everything that happened.

"Also, why did you wake up so suddenly?" She asked.

"I was just about to deny the petitioners request to raise taxes for the lower classes, when a sword shot into the throne room and stabbed me in the gut." She shuddered.

Author's Note

Sorry if I didn't have Luna speak like she usually does, but I felt to lazy to try to do that. Also, next chapter we will be seeing someone important, and gaining some more cool stuff to use against Celestia.
