Technology is advancing rapidly in the Equestria we know. A new type of weapon, called a 'gun' (nicknames include firearm, shooter, heater, piece, etc.) is becoming the go-to weapon for the Equestrian military and Royal Guard, rendering the old-fashioned spears and crossbow practically obsolete. The Equestrians became the nation with the most powerful military might, nopony dared to challenge them. Until...

...Organized crime groups and individuals (i.e. terrorist groups, gangs, mercenaries, hitponies, weapons traffickers, etc) got their hooves/claws/talons/paws on firearms and began using them in crime sprees, along with some taking in dangerous substances called 'drugs'. Crimes began to get out of control, and sometimes got into cases the Royal Guard and the newly-established local police departments wasn't trained for. Celestia needed a solution...

...A solution that came from the most unexpected of sources. A multi-species group of friends, (all ex-military) calling themselves the 'Equestrian Trinity Aces', came up with the idea of a elite squad, specially trained to deal to resolve critical incidents involving a threat to public safety which would otherwise exceed the capabilities of traditional law enforcement first responders, investigative units and the Royal Guard. But they operate as a unit of the police instead of the military.

Celestia gave the plan the go-ahead, and the first S.W.A.T. team was born...

I recently read JustDing's SPAT [Special Ponies And Tactics] story, which is a MLP/S.W.A.T 4 crossover, and I thought 'Hey, I could do something like this!' So, here we are. The three main differences between this story and JustDing's are as listed:

Instead of rewriting his story by just replacing his characters with my own, all chapters are completely my own typing,
1. This story is set in a different universe to the other and,

2. This story uses weapons NOT featured in both the other story and S.W.A.T 4
